All the students at Shade High School had always said it would happen - despite their disappointment that it hadn't happened sooner - the outcast student b, son of the famous world-class scientist-slash-inventor Professor Membrane, had attacked another student on Prom night. Zim, a fellow student whom have shared a mutual love-hate relationship ever since elementary school, survived the assault.
Committed to an adolescent emergency psychiatric hospital, not having been charged yet for his crime (potentially assault with a deadly weapon; a knife), the priority is the depressed teenager's state of mind.
Unfortunately, Dib's emotional breakdown couldn't have come at a worse time. There has been an influx of paranormal activity in and around Shade City. Even though paranormal sightings and other supernatural phenomenon have always been prevalent, recently reports of monsters and other unexplainable cryptids have been on the rise.
The secret society that keeps a close watch on supernatural incidents, investigating, gathering intel, and trying to preserve the human race; the SWOLLEN EYEBALL NETWORK[, are doing all they can to discover the cause of this influx, and put a stop to it.
