Cats Of Gatapolis
No one is quite sure how the city of Gatapolis came to be. It's history is still a mystery, even to those that have lived there their whole lives. But one thing is certain, the cats that inhabit the city are no ordinary cats.
The city was said to have once been home to humans long ago however the humans have long since been gone and never returned leaving the ruins of a marble palace as well as streets, old crumbling homes and other buildings behind. With the already constructed buildings, the cats adapted to living a different life. A life much more like humans lived than like other wild cats.
Not only are these cats more evolved and intelligent than normal ones, they have also set up a type of society in which they live. They were originally ruled by three kings who each had power over a certain aspect of the city to keep one of them from getting too powerful. Life was peaceful for much of the time, there were guards of the palace that patrolled the streets and made sure everything was in order but all in all the city was a peaceful place to live.
However that soon came to an end when a large pride of lions came upon the city one dark, stormy night. Led by their dark hearted leader, Aurelius, the lions attacked the city and took it by force, killing anyone who got in their way including the three kings of Gatapolis. When morning broke the next day, the city was in ruins. Citizens were terrified and battered while the new reigning king claimed control of the city and immediately began to make changes to suit his twisted liking's.
