Comrades… it was a word used to describe people who viewed each other as reliable assets in battle, to describe those they trusted in combat. It was a strong bond that was often forged through countless battles and once created could prove incredibly difficult to break, perhaps even impossible. Yes, there were few things that could break the strong bond known as “comradeship”, in fact aside from betrayal the only thing capable of it was death. Indeed, death was absolute and something no one could avoid and once a person died then their bonds and all memories faded away with the wind. As for those who remembered them, sure they would mourn for some time but more often than not they would get over the event. Humans or even just people, had to move on and couldn't be held down by the past something that was easier for some than others. If they didn’t get over such inevitable loss they would never be able to move forward in life, they would forever be held back. And it would seem that the Centario Clan as a whole was stuck in that rut, unable to defeat a former comrade that had been transformed into something terrible.
Yes, a man known as Gene had been transformed into a powerful creature known as a Lich, an undead creature filled with regret and hatred. In his now undead form, the man was far more powerful than he had been before, the advantages to being undead rather plentiful when fighting. Yet that was not all, his former clansman that had attempted to slay him not only paled in battle prowess in comparison, but couldn’t strike him. Indeed, their emotions were getting in the way due in part to Gene having retained his memories even after death, recalling upon them to confuse those whom attempted to oppose. Yes, unlike the undead Lich, those men had hearts that could easily be stirred and resolves that could easily be shaken given the right provocation. In this undead form, Gene had nothing but animosity toward the living so antagonizing them was both enjoyable and just a natural result of his transformation. Why had he died, why had he been the one to valiantly sacrifice himself, and why had he been the one to take such an incredibly dreadful form? Perhaps if he had a heart he could see the fallacy in such questions but as he was now all he wished to do was lash out against any who lived.
Thus the question became how would the clan take care of this undead menace and finally allow their lost comrade to rest in peace? Despite their few encounters with Gene and his former position in the guild, no one really knew much about his fighting style or his incredible abilities. They were clueless as to how they worked and were taken by surprise again and again whenever they sent a team to attempt and put the undead menace down permanently. Because of this they came to the conclusion that their only chance was to call for backup, to call for the one who knew Gene better than anyone else… Miumi.
Yes, they sent a letter out to him detailing the situation, hoping that if nothing else his relationship with the deceased party would prompt his return. Were he to return, surely his knowledge would make it several times easier to defeat the lich or if nothing else perhaps appease it. Indeed, appeasing it also seemed like an equally tempting idea, the lich hardly ever leaving any survivors but those who did… knew what he wanted. More so than anything, it seemed Gene wanted Miumi to return, or rather he wanted Miumi in his domain to presumably kill in an incredibly painful matter. All the reports received thus far had all detailed that Miumi’s name would come up more than once during battle, Gene seeming to hold an even deeper hatred for that particular character. Why that was the case no one was exactly sure but perhaps if Miumi were to return and fight the Lich such answers could be uncovered. Or in the worst case scenario, the boy would die and perhaps allow the Lich to rest in peace after having gotten whatever vengeance it seemed to seek against Miumi. Yet how this would all play out depended on Miumi and any allies he brought, whether they would triumph against the undead menace or fall to his superior power and everlasting malice.

Post Order - Miumi, Jecht, Nier
Feel free to get your RP on here and go through the clan stuff and what not. Whenever you guys end up where the Lich is, I'll hop back in and get into super boss mode and what not. Until then have fun ^^!
