[classy=brokenstz]t h e s e b r o k e n w i n g s[/classy][classy=textstz] Rae sat perched on the branch of a bright, orange colored tree preening her her feathers. The pitch black wings needed to be cleaned every once in a while or it would eventually start to effect her flying. And if you ever happen to sprout a pair of feathered wings that need cleaning you'll notice it's a bit more difficult in human form. This was easier, but that didn't make it any less annoying. Her beak had a single chip on the top right hand side, the only imperfection in her transformation, which would catch and sometimes tear out a feather or two. Not only was it painful, but it meant the loss of her precious feathers!
Her wings meant everything to her, even if she couldn't use them to fly in human form anymore. A few had tried to touch her wings before, but little did they know that the cute little blacksmith would come down on them with a vengeful swing of her sword. They usually learned their lesson after that. She flapped her wings a few times, testing their balance before taking to the air once more. Fall was one of her favorite seasons, and she was reminded of that as she dove through a small section of a colorful autumn colored tree.
Rae spotted a mountain ash to her right, the bright red berries still rich with their color and plump in size. How could she resist? She banked left, coming up on the tree and landing with a dull thud. Her wings gave one last, hard downstroke to slow her body before she tucked them in at her sides. Settling in on the low hanging branch the raven began to pick off clumps of berries two or three at a time.
While able to damage the kidney of a human who consumed the berries raw, they luckily did no harm to her while she remained shifted. As long as she stayed in her bird form for another half hour they would digest and she could revert whenever she wanted. Some would see this as an inconvenience, but she loved her berries so much! And they just didn't taste the same after you cooked them, they really didn't. [/classy]
