(Ahohohoho~ Title says open, so have at it. Don't be discouraged! All I ask is that if your character has met Xigbar/Braig at any point, ask before joining. I probably won't say no, but it's better safe than sorry anyway. Otherwise just jump right in!)
Xigbar
Xigbar
Age: Unknown (Approx. 35 to 40) | Male |
The great dragon, Tiamat, was perhaps one of the mightiest dragons that had ever existed. With 6 heads and absolute control over the winds, this nasty beastie would prove a marvelous addition to the Freeshooter's ever growing arsenal. Thus, he found himself within the technologically advanced sky fortress---Something about this place, now that he was here, reminded him of the labs back in Radiant Garden. The walls were infused with technology far beyond his comprehension, with lights flashing all the way down the large, elegant, and spacious halls. The place was wholly abandoned, all except for the few robots that wandered the halls with no direction.
Xigbar had thankfully discovered that these robots were not hostile, at least not to him. He prowled the halls clad in his black cloak, hood raised up, and only a single golden eye visible through the shroud of enchanted darkness covering his face. While an eerie sight to behold, this did allow him the advantage of traversing through this strange place without incident, as he looked for the remains of the mighty Tiamat. Thanks to the fact that his ears had always been close to the ground, Xigbar had learned that Tiamat was slain, but as he could attest from his adventures in the Land of Dragons, even dead dragons could still be of use... In the right hands, anyway.
One thing did poke out at the Freeshooter's mind about the robots guarding this place though. It seemed as if wearing his cloak made him invisible to them, but could they hear him? Xigbar ceased walking forward, faced down two of the robots patrolling the hall directly in front of him, and crossed his arms over his chest. He was quite confident he could handle them if they ended up seeing him after he spoke, but on the off chance that one got the drop on him, he wanted to be prepared. He took a few jaunty steps to the wall nearest to him and positioned his back against it. With a blind spot as obvious as the back of his hood, he didn't feel like getting stabbed in the back.
"Hey, over-sized alarm clocks," Xigbar called to them, grinning in the shadows of his hood. Even if were machines, there was just something amusing about taunting anything and everything. The reaction the machines displayed was both disappointing and pleasing at the same time. They most certainly heard the Freeshooter taunt them, but as their mechanical heads spun around trying to spot where the voice had come from, they weren't intelligent enough to figure out where the voice had come from. That was good to know---It meant he'd just have to be quiet in this place. Another thing he was curious about was how long they would remain in an alerted state.
He remained still, watching, waiting, and mentally counting. His single golden eye studied them cautiously. Knowing how long it took them to give up might very well come in handy should trouble arise later. Exactly 4 minutes after Xigbar had taunted them, the two machines gave up their wary state and returned to normal patrolling patterns. 4 minutes on the dot. That's really interesting... Xigbar had what he wanted of the machines now. The information he had just gained would be quite useful in the future.
Xigbar quitely sauntered off, continuing down the robot-infested halls as he looked for the chamber Tiamat was slain in. Something told him, with how his footsteps echoed along the hall, that it might take a while to find the dragon's remains... Oh well. The Freeshooter's shoulders shifted up in a shrug, before slumping back down casually. It'd just take a little persistence to find her, and who knows, maybe he'd find something else interesting along the way. His golden eye almost seemed to fire up at the thought. This schemer wasn't much for fighting, but he'd been out of action for some long now that his trigger fingers had begun to feel a bit itchy.
