Silence. It seemed almost unending. Yazoo rested his back against the tree, sitting on one of its branches. He could hear the water rushing even from his position, he wasn't far from a small cliff that had water running past. While it wasn't exactly silence, once he sat there and almost seemed to sleep, it was just... there was nothing there. His brothers, gone for how long? His past dealings, they seemed to be gone too. Even Silv no longer answered, the stupid bitch of a Heartless that never seemed to give a shit about anything. What really was going on? What had happened? The Remnant first didn't really care, especially not about the Heartless fools. He had been well capable cooping about the Horsemen at the time, but his brothers had always bothered him more. The fact that Loz vanished and reappeared constantly did bring some good feelings about that they might just resurface. Kadaj had been confusing that he vanished, but he had sensed him again, only to disappear again. However, it felt like... there had been some things amiss.
Memories never clung too well to people, the timeline was messed up since he met Ultimecia, but... was it truly her doings? Or was there something else amiss. Amiss in this entire world? He had been to places that weren't meant to be and the fact he had met so many that shouldn't be there was the biggest problem. How was all of this possible. The more he thought on it... the more he wondered why he bothered in the first place. Truly, the first thing when he had awakened was the thought of 'mother'. Next came his two brothers, even Cloud, the black sheep, popped into his mind. Family was everything to him, to the Remnants. It was this that moved them, to find a path forward. And it was this, right now that made Yazoo open his eyes in that very tree he was seated in.
"Can I... hold onto... even one?" he had thought of saving his family, he had thought of destroying his family, to be reunited in Death. All he had ever cared about... it was to bring all together. So what... what if he was unable to do this? Was destiny using him as a toy. His emotions were already messed up. His senses went out. There must be... someone. Just someone. To hold onto. He didn't care who. Kadaj and Loz would be best, but even Sephiroth, Cloud, or even the unknown entities of Zack and such. If he... he could stick to them. Could he find the others?
The Remnant slowly closed his eyes. Now... if I could... find even one, maybe... just... maybe... his thoughts were set. He would try to find his own Reunion. To find a way to bring back his family. If not by death, then he would find a way to drag them all together.

Travelling through portals seemed like the most convenient way of roaming from world to world, but Megara wondered whether it were the best. Every time she stepped through them she felt the chill, sharp and sudden and her slender arms would wrap themselves around her as if to protect her from what was coming. From earlier events, Megara kept her bow and arrows strapped to her back and close by, she wasn’t sure what would be on the other side but through every new world travelled she felt a little closer to finding Wonder Boy and understanding what was going on. With her feet strapped tightly into her sandals, she wandered into the sun, it seemed like an island…paradise? Although Greece wasn’t the ugliest of cities by a long way this place seemed peaceful somehow.
It was perhaps the first impressions of it all and she turned to see the portal close up behind her as if finishing its own job. Meg had to wonder whether it was purposely leading her on her own journey, whether there was a specific purpose for her being here, like at the Ball. Answers were unfortunately not given on a plate and she rolled her eyes at the irony of her own expectations, all she was really doing was following the lead. “Just like a puppet.” She’d sigh and push those thoughts to the back of her mind, right now she needed to figure out where she was. All that she could see around her were pools and rocky banks. The waterfall dropped straight into it making the noise pleasant and calming drawing Megara to the edge.
Here she sat down and traced the water with her fingers, it was nice here…a little too nice. The other world had sprung drama into it much like her own and she wondered whether this one would be similar in that circumstance. As she glanced at herself, still contemplating her situation she noticed the ripples in the water and slowly red hair and a pair of eyes appeared and broke the surface. “What the-” Megara blurted it out and swung backwards only for her arm to be caught by a blonde haired girl. “Hey- Let go! What are you doing?” Lavender eyes glanced at the two and noticed a few others now sitting on the rocks all giggling to each other however this wasn’t what her attention focused itself on, that was the fins they all sported.
“Hey now,” One of them chimed, “Why don’t you come and play with us~?”
“It’ll be awfully nice of you to join us for a swim.”
Megara pulled even harder but her grip was firm, “I don’t…think so.” She said, her arms finally pulled free, “A girl can’t swim in a dress like this.” Her feet stepped back from the edge but the blonde leant up and grabbed the hem of her long purple dress. “Then take it off!” She called, “We only want you to come swim in the ocean~” Their voices were high pitched and childlike, they didn’t lack any form of beauty but neither were they human.
“I’ve dealt with worse fish than you.” She stressed, pulling her dress free which knocked her back onto the floor, “Look, I don’t have time for this!” Her arm reached back to draw her bow but it was no longer there, her eyes darted to find the other mermaid who was sitting on a rock a little out into the pool, “What’s this thing?” She chimed again, handling the bow between her fingers. “Don’t touch that!” Megara snapped, feeling hands wrap themselves around her ankles, “Get. Off. Me.” Her voice was stern and strong but together they all smiled at her cheekily.
“Too late!” They all spoke in unison and with a scream, Megara was dragged into the water.

The quest to find the lost kingdom and it's heir was taking much longer then anticipated. To be brutally honest, there was no end in sight at this rate. Every step forth that the young paladin took, felt like she was actually moving three backwards instead. There was no end to this, no hope. The monsters that had been branded as 'Heartless' were an unending, relentless foe. Engaging them in battle was much the same as the path she walked. Every one for struck down, three more would rise up from the black mists to replace it. How could one possibly stand a chance against so an overwhelming enemy? No, it was foolish and pointless to try and stand your ground against the force known as the 'Heartless' and running was by far the best option available. The General of Alexandria wasn't known for running away from an enemy, but she was known for being the strongest warrior to roam Gaia and you didn't earn that title if you didn't know when it was time to charge and when it was time to retreat. Now, was certainly the time to retreat. Forces had to be built to tackle the Heartless and make it a more even fight, but Beatrix was alone. She didn't have her Queen, she didn't have her Knight of Pluto... she didn't even have that monkey Zidane, whom she had to admit would be welcome company right now.
What are you talking about Beatrix? The Paladin thought to herself as she finally came to a halt from her sprinting, pressing an armoured gauntlet against a tree trunk. She crouched over, her lungs desperately trying to catch her breath as she took heavy, fast breaths in and out. She flicked her head to the left, her hair tossing itself over her shoulder from the motion, and glanced behind her to see that nothing was following her. Whatever those yellow-eyed monsters wanted from her, they appeared to have either given up chasing or simply lost sight of her. 'Welcome company'?! You must be more exhausted then you thought... Chestnut hair fell back down to shield her face as her neck turned her head back down to face the ground, where several more but shallower breaths were taken, before eventually the Paladin pushed herself up off the tree and stood upright. Pressing her palms into her lower back, Beatrix stretched her body forth, pushing her hips and chest out to try and loosen herself up from the rushed escape. A final glance over her shoulder to check she was safe confirmed what she needed to know. The Heartless had indeed lost her and now she could continue on her way in peace.
If I knew WHERE I was in the first place... The chestnut-haired General mumbled to herself as her icy-blue left eye looked around at her surroundings. Trees were pretty much everywhere, suggesting she was in a forest perhaps. The gentle trickle of water in the distance proved she was near a lake or a river. Without finding a clearing in the forest or a tree to which she can climb to gain elevation, this was all she could discover for the time being. There seemed to be no form of civilization nearby. Beatrix glanced at the tree she had leaned against and then observed the palm of her gauntlet, taking note of the bark and how the large plant had subtly rubbed itself off on her fingers. Gripping the belt around her waist and tugging it down over her hips, the young woman neatened her duster up before finally pressing onwards, walking through the trees in the general direction that she could hear the water. A nice cool drink would go down well right about now, and a fresh water spring or lake would provide that just fine. However, after a few minutes passed and the sounds of the running water grew louder, other sounds started to reach her ears; mainly that of voices. So there WAS civilization here?!
The General of Alexandria took off in a light job, hopping over shrubs and dodging around tree trunks until she stumbled across a large clearing in which there was a waterfall pouring down into pools, all surrounded by banks of rocks. What a sight to behold! It was incredible! But Beatrix fought herself out of her awe as she noticed a woman in form fitting purple dress having a conversation... no, a struggle with... err.. what WERE those? The top halves were women, gorgeous women at that, but the bottom halves were aquatic... like fish tails. What manner of beast was this and why were their voices so child-like? The single woman with human legs had two of these creatures to deal with several more watching from the banks. When one of them had taken the human's bow and arrows, the situation turned dire. ”Release her!!” Beatrix found herself shouting, her usual soft and calm tone replaced with one more demanding and authoritative. The rattle of her armoured boots and gauntlets sounded through the air as the Paladin ran out into the clearing, hopping over small pools of water and jumping up and down the rocky banks to reach the woman in the purple dress.
