There was a lot of heavy building work going on in this place, with groups of civilians spotted nearly every street corner, some carrying bricks, others carrying tools. A lot of the buildings here that appeared to be the homes of those who resided here were in disarray. Signs of a struggle were few and far between, but there said signs did show up, they all seemed to be gathered in specific areas. Perhaps it was bad weather that had caused this, but the sky was a gorgeous orange from the setting sun over on the horizon and there were hardly any clouds in the sky to back this theory up. Sure, the storms may have moved on in passing winds, but there weren't any felled trees nor was the ground soaked from heavy rainfall. No, it couldn't have been nature that caused all this damage. Though upon closer inspection of some of the damage, some of the marks cut into the stone walls were literally that, 'cut' as if by a blade of some kind. The icy blue eyes of a chestnut haired woman examined one of these 'cuts' upon a wall, her gauntlet covered fingers tracing the slice through the mortar, following the direction of the cut.
There was a battle here? The young woman asked herself as she pushed herself to her feet and cast her singular icy stare down to the ground where further 'cuts' and 'slices' could be seen. Either there was a reckless fighter or someone with an overly large blade that had caused this. But what was the point in damaging the buildings and the streets? Unless the opponent of the large bladed wielder was quicker on their feet, the young woman from Alexandria couldn't discover an answer to this. Instead, she pushed herself away from the wall she had stood beside and walked out into the middle of the street, starting to make her way down the road until she reached a large open area with odd metal bars running through the ground in large turns and straight lines. Little did she know that these were the tram tracks of Tram Common, vehicles that acted much the same as the Air Cabs in Lindblum did. Only when the General of the Alexandrian Army spotted one of the trams, knocked off it's rails, did the connection click.
Oh! They're like the Air Cabs, only on rails upon the ground. So the civilians of this world use them to travel throughout this city? The chestnut-haired woman asked herself as she took a couple steps closer towards the tram and examined it curiously. She pondered if Cid Fabool would have been interested in this contraption, or whether he even had a hand in designing it. However, this world, much the same as the Coliseum in which the Tournament was held, were sights she had never laid eyes on before. Further proof that she was no longer on Gaia. It was also further motivation for her to find her way home as quickly as possible. Her Queen needed her and Steiner was bound to have contacted Fabool to borrow an airship so he could scour the continents to his find girlfriend. That thought brought a small blush to the General's lips as she pictured Steiner within her mind, a soft sigh escaping her lips but a second later. The swordswoman knew she'd get home eventually, but whether or not it would be free of those yellow eyed monsters, she didn't know. ”It doesn't matter.” The Paladin said aloud to herself as she placed her left hand upon the handle of Save the Queen, feeling the scabbard gentle touch her thigh as she tilted the weapon hanging from her belt. ”Those monsters will regret the day they crossed my path!”
