It was early in the morning that Aerith awoke feeling unrested and troubled, having spent a little time with Vincent and Rufus separately it had indeed taken a slight toll on her mentally. Nothing that was too serious but it had her mind working in a quick pace, trying to find her next move and to understand her part in all of this. For now she worked as a friend and comfort to all but sometimes she needed space…and just once to lean on someone. She realised how much she did lean on Cloud and the others and then in return helped them too, however everything she had worked for before…everything she had done seemed to be the beginning of another event that threatened the Planet’s future.
To take her mind off of these things she would usually venture out to the Church and tend to the flowers, however in Radiant Garden there wasn’t such a place. It wasn’t all bad here though as she had her own space, a garden, where she could tend to the flowers and be at peace. Here she could think without being interrupted…usually, she didn’t mind so much to be honest. If Aerith ever complained about it people would ignore her because she would delve right back into the problem in the next minute, it was just who she was.
At the moment, Aerith was tending to her flowers, the sun had risen and here she was, knelt down like always and watering the small golden ones around her. Her feet were always carefully placed in the soil so as to protect those flowers around her, she was always careful, even to those smaller and less beautiful than the rest. It was something she needed to be patient about when growing them and she had jumped at the chance to create another garden that was better than any she had before. In doing so the whole town was covered in smaller patches where she’d planted some, but here…here it was her own place, surrounded by trees it felt like her own little cove. Yet she never felt alone.
Her emerald eyes left the flowers she tended to to look between the trees, her ears had picked up a sound and she couldn’t quite make out a figure. An old friend maybe? They seemed to be jumping out from everywhere these days.
“Hel-looo?” Aerith called out as she slowly stood from her knelt position, “Is anyone there?”
