Now where exactly was he again and how'd he end up here? These kind of thoughts ran through Gene's mind as he arrived into this world. It was of course a world he wasn't exactly familiar with but he liked the feel of it already. The world seemed friendly and as if it welcomed him here, which was nice. He was glad he didn't end up in a world filled with heartless or nobodies or some other kind of creature that wanted him dead. He shook his head at that thought, it reminded him of when his home was taking over. Speaking of which he wondered if the people he was looking for were here, it seemed like a place Maren would like. He doubted that his master was would stick around in a world like this or have any business here anyway. Gallarus never seemed like the kind of guy to take a vacation or a break for that matter. Still this place seemed rather nice and Gene would like to show everyone this place.
Gene had never been in a castle before and never imagined being in one like this. He wondered through the halls a bit before he noticed a towering door before him. Gene stopped in his tracks awestruck by the door, it was huge! How long must have it taken to make a door that large and what kind of giants live in this castle?! Looking up he noticed the large door handles and got a bit curious as to whether or not he could open up the door. His first attempt at jumping up and grabbing a hold of the handle failed so he kept trying until he succeeded. He did however manage to get a hold of it but the door didn't exactly budge. So now the question was, how did anyone get into that room? Well since he couldn't get into the room with the huge door he figured he keep looking around. Next he found himself staring out the window that wasn't far from him. He looked out onto the courtyard outside which Gene wanted to explore.
He wondered around for a little bit more before he found a way outside to the courtyard. It was a rather nice and relaxing, a perfect place to catch some sleep. Honestly that was something he wanted to do right now but for the sake of adventure he'd still explore the castle that he was in. Didn't take him long to find the door in the middle of the courtyard which due to Gene's curiosity made him open it and peek his head in. It looked like some kind of workplace and looked a bit cool but it probably wasn't the best thing for him to be poking his head in here, might mess something up. There was probably some more exploring to be done back inside the castle so Gene backtracked to where he found the huge door. There was door at the end of the hallway that was much more reasonable looking size wise. "That looks much more manageable than this behemoth," Gene said with a shrug as he looked to the large door and then started heading toward the new door.
As he headed toward it he couldn't help but wonder where people were at. Maybe they were all out on some kind of important business? Or maybe they were just in a different part of the castle Gene had yet to discover. The room that he entered seemed like an office of some sort. There was a desk, a bookcase, the whole deal. Who lived here? Whoever did Gene hoped they had other people living in this place as one could get lonely living in such a big place. The bookcase drew Gene's attention as the teen walked over to it and started to examine the books on the shelf not paying attention to what was going on around him.

It was unfortunate that the boy who had wandered into the castle known as Disney Castle had such a strong Heart. One that radiated Light for miles around causing those of Dark intent to stir in discontent and arouse the hunger within the creatures known as Heartless that lived within the dark depths of Corridors and shadows. They wanted to feed, to destroy the Light that bugged them, but they were too afraid to move on their own so they huddled together and whispered to one another. They were trying to formulate a plan to approach the delicious Light protected by something they hated— the keyblade. They watched the Light move about and explore, they followed him around from the shadows, but dared not attack. Some of the bravest ones even took a chance to sniff the air around the boy, becoming excited about the treat they could not quite touch. The Heart that beat steadily within the boy’s body. They wanted it, but would not move from their spot. Not here. Not in the place the Light called their strong hold. No. They would plan and continue to watch and stare.
Perhaps it was this commotion that caused the most powerful of the Heartless to stir within the Darkness. Or maybe there was some other reason for the stir of the creature, but none of the lower ranking Heartless could tell what that reason was and for one reason or another the usually open being did not share its intent with its family. Instead, the being drifted through the dark in a shapeless form, its black Heart blending in with darkness that surrounded it. It followed the boy it recognized as a keybearer, watching and wondering what the boy that reeked of the Light was doing in the castle. Was he looking for an audience with the King of this place? Or was it curiosity and a misguided trip that had led the child here?
The being was curious and tempted to test out the skills of a new keybearer; however, for the moment it did nothing to attack as it simply observed the fascinating specimen from the shadows. There was no need to start fights when he didn’t intend to be fighting in the first place. While the stirring of the Heartless did indeed awaken the powerful being, his objective was what made him move forward. There was something big about to happen on the horizon, he was sure of it and because of this unknown thing he sensed, the powerful black Heart had decided to stop idling and make a move. And what better place to start unfurling a plan than in the strong hold of the Light? Right where the Light thought it was safest?
Yes, his simple plan would show itself soon, but first, he had to make sure this Light bearer wandering the halls wasn’t here to be a roadblock. After all, this strong hold was protected no matter who laid claimed over it, so the dark Heart continued to shadow the boy and watch his every move.
He watched the kid try to tackle the large doors to the throne room, watched as he wandered about exploring the various sites around the castle, before coming back in and trying a different door or two. Seeming to find a room of interest, the child entered it with the dark Heart following. The room was a study of some sort, lavishly decorated and filled with books that would’ve easily drawn the dark being’s attention had it not been for the keybearer that was present. While the boy headed for the books, the dark being headed for the chair. Without moving it, the Darkness quietly gathered and formed the shape of a man with a cloak drapped over him before solidifying and allowing color and detail to come into view. Within seconds, a man sat in the chair that belonged to the king, relaxed as if the place was his own home.
Quietly, the Heartless continued to observe the boy oblivious to his presence as he moved along the bookshelves taking in whatever information the books’ spine had to give. The Heartless remained quiet for a moment longer and then in the calmest of voices he addressed the boy.
“Do you like knowledge?” he asked, his voice carrying no signs of hostility, but instead open curiosity about the boy and his interest in the books. If the boy turned, he would find a figure with a brown cloak draped over it. The hood was pulled low covering the eyes and upper face, leaving only the bottom half of the deep brown face revealed and a set of lips that wore an amused smirk on them. Below the face, the cloak was slightly open revealing the top of an emblem that was otherwise hidden by the rest of the black trimmed and studded cloak that the being wore and the hints of white hair that spilled over the figure’s shoulder.
The strange man remained with his hands folded in his lap looking as if he belonged to the study and had only appeared because someone had stepped into his sanctuary. Ansem, kept the innocent act up, only watching the keybearer in amusement, never giving off the true nature of his being. Like with the child called Gobi, Ansem had decided to play nice for the time being; however, anything could turn this harmless encounter into a fight for survival. The situation was a strange one. One strange enough to make one to question why the Heartless was here in the first place and why he was suddenly playing nice with keybladers, beings who he supposedly despised to no end.

There was less guards this time around, the hearts of those affected by the sudden carnage attack of Rosso upon this world holding hidden crimson stains in the hearts of everyone. Even as Mickey walked the halls of his familiar castle and home, it felt much more empty than it should have been. The normal hustle and bustle of guards, even the broomsticks, was gone. “Gosh, I never realized just how much those guys made this place… seem lively..” Mickey muttered to himself, shaking his head and sighing as he paused to look over the garden. Behind him was the grand doorways into the Throne room, far too large for the mouse and the reason that a smaller one existed in the first place.
Mickey took in a deep breath and sighed, resting his head on the palm of his hand, the arm it was connected to resting on the railing. He watched isly as he used a finger on his other hand to trace out random squiggles and circles and designs on the railing, no dust on it to leave the impressions of his boredom artwork. No one to talk to, no one to see. Even Minnie, bless her heart, had elected to spend more of her time in the worlds to help improve relations. But with people Like Maleficent, Jafar, Xehanort, and others out there… just what was the little mouse King to do? He may have been one of the last Keyblade Masters in existence, taught by Yen Sid himself, but even a Keyblade Master could only do so much to protect the balance of the world.
Mickey breathed in and sighed, pushing himself away from the railing and letting his thin tail flick back a bit. He wasn’t here to dilly dally. He had reports to write and had to keep up to date on everything. If anyone had attempted to send him notes or letters, then he’d need to respond in time and be punctual. It’s why he was here, to check on things and make sure everything actually ran smoothly, or as smoothly as it could. At least this world remained a bastion of hope for the Light. But for how much longer? This was the thought Mickey had as he pushed open the door to his study, seeing a young figure standing there.
“Huh?” He said, not expecting anyone now. Yet what was curious was the figure sitting in his desk seat, wearing a dark brown cloak… a Cloak that seemed familiar, and a figure that seemed to hold something that set of alarms in the King. He clenched his fist and stood at the Doorway, watching between the two. The boy seemed harmless enough, but the one in the cloak… it was… familiar… a bad familiar…[ BAH![/style] |

While he examined the books Gene continued to think who lived in the castle. He was pretty sure there were some paintings on the wall that could probably tell him who lived here but Gene didn't look and didn't feel like stopping what he was doing to look at them. Maybe it was a King who valued money and glory more than anything and lived alone in this castle. What if it was tyrant that ruled with a iron fist? Maybe it was a Gladiator King who was out now conquering other faraway lands. Gene got a bit lost in his thought as he ran his finger across the spines of the books neatly placed on the shelf. To be honest he wasn't exactly sure what he was expecting to find on this shelf. He hoped that maybe he'd find some kind of clue as to where his Master was or even his family. When he snapped out of his thoughts he was a bit disappointed to noticed that he was pretty much not going to find anything.
"Man what am I doing?" Gene sighed as he placed his hand on his forehead and then shook his head from side to side a bit. "Master Gallarus would surely scold me for trespassing in someone else's home," As those words left his mouth Gene the heard something, a voice. This took Gene by surprise as the teen jumped up a bit and then looked around the room to find where the voice had come from. To his surprise there was a cloaked figure sitting in the chair at the desk, was he always there? Gene was sure that the chair was completely empty before. Maybe this cloaked figure came in while Gene was lost in thoughts while looking at books. For a second Gene thought this was the masked kid from before but just with his hood over his face. Two things made Gene decided otherwise, the color of the cloak and the voice. What if this guy was the owner of the castle?! Oh no this guy must be completely furious with Gene.
"Oh man I'm so sorry for just wondering around like I own the place!" Gene exclaimed, his face a bit red, as he then quickly put his arms to the side and quickly bowed. He was about to go on and on about how sorry he was but then realized that the man had asked a question. "Kno-knowledge?" The spiky haired teen questioned with a puzzled look on his face as his body rose back up from his bow. The boy then quickly let out a big oh as he realized that the cloaked figure must have asked that since Gene was looking at all the books. "I like knowledge. I mean no one wants to be ignorant all their life right? It's good to make yourself more knowledgeable," Gene said with a bit of a laugh as he scratched the backside of his head. As Gene got a better look at this guy there was strange urge to summon up his Keyblade but he decided that it would be best not to summon up a weapon in a stranger's face. "Name's Gene by the way mind telling me your name sir?" The black haired boy asked introducing himself with a smile.
That's when Gene noticed someone else at the door and he was surprised to see this individual. It was a mouse standing in the doorway and he seemed to be a bit on guard. "Oh hello there!," Gene said with a quick wave to the mouse. Now who exactly was this guy? Was he the owner of this castle or was he just someone visiting the man at the desk? Gene was quite confused and hoped that someone would give him some answers soon.

Some time after Gene appeared, the all too familiar sound of a Dark Corridor could be faintly heard as it manifested right in the center of the courtyard. From within the jet black void stepped a hooded figure donned in all black. A sleeved arm raised, gloved hand extending outward, closing the portal behind him with a flick of a wrist. Taking a quick glance to survey his area, he swiftly moved to the shadows, staying out of sight for the time being.
"Fancy place..." Lea muttered under his breath as he took in his surroundings, actually feeling a little jealous of whoever owned this place. Whoever did..had to be seriously loaded in the munny department. Walls and pillars appearing to be made of marble extended as far as the eye can see. A large door stood to his right as he continued down the long hallway, causing him to pause a moment. "Well..would you look at that. Wonder what kinda person needs doors that big..."
As he continued down the hallway, another set of doors soon appeared. However unlike the last set, this one was smaller and...opened a little? Deciding to investigate, he silently crept closer, relying on his Organization training he had received to remain stealthy. As he drew near, an all too familiar pair of round ears caught his eye, causing him to grow relieved. However that relief didn't last long. An all too familiar darkness could be felt in that room, even to the novice Keyblader.
A hand rested upon Mickey's shoulder, the other moving to pull his hood back long enough for the King to notice who it was before it was pulled up again. A brow raised as he peered into the open doorway, spotting a strange boy and the source of the dark feeling he and likely the king had felt as well. Moving his hand from Mickey's shoulder as he pulled back his hood once more, surveying the area. A bad feeling emanated off of the guy in the brown cloak, however Lea wasn't exactly skilled enough to place it. As for the new face however..."A new face huh. Names Lea. L-E-A. Got it memorized?"

He asked his question, but did not get an immediate response, but he did not mind. He could tolerate this sort of obliviousness. It gave him time to observe the keyblader more and learn a bit more about his ways without asking a million questions. Besides, he had not come to the castle to start a fight, so why become aggressive over little things when the goal at the end of the line was so precious? So instead of speaking anymore, he just continued to watch the boy as he moved amongst the books searching for something, but what was the boy searching for he wondered. He wanted to know. He wanted to know so that he could...help the boy gain what he sought. Even if he was Light and the Heart was tempting to take right then and there, Ansem would not act on the impulse. Nor would he allow the lower ranks to enter the castle. No. It was not time for anything of that sort and unless provoked, peace was exactly what the Heartless wanted to keep in this Light infested world. He could not risk, any slip ups. This had to go smoothly.
And smoothly it might go. After all this child does not know me, the Heartless thought keeping the malicious smile from appearing on his face. He continued to watch the boy, who after a moment of searching began to speak out loud. Ansem listened, gaining valuable information from the few words spoken. As he knew, the kid was an outsider and one that did not come here out of curiosity, but rather by chance. The Darkness had been busy. Not only had it displaced countless of others before this boy, it would seem the Darkness took acquaintances of this boy and scattered them to the winds too….and now he had the name of one. Master Gallarus, the boy’s teacher no doubt. Hmmm…maybe. Just maybe he could use that little bit of information in the future for some other plan. For now, he’d simply store the name in the vast banks of his memory.
In any case, shortly after the boy had spoken, he realized that he too had been spoken to. Not shifting from his position in the chair, Ansem watched the boy jump before turning and searching for the source of the voice. The Heartless’s amused smile on growing the tiniest bit as he watched the boy go from startled, confused, and suspicious to guilty in the span of a few seconds. Then the boy was speaking, apologizing to him for intruding. In response a faint chuckle came from the Heartless, showing he was not angry, but simply entertained by the boy’s action. In reality, the Heartless was pondering the irony of such an assumption.
This place that belonged to the Light. It would be nice if the Dark really could claim the place forever; however, with as many Light Warriors that always rushed to this places aid, the task of keeping it in the Dark was proving to be quiet tedious, so the Heartless had decided to let the Light keep what they laid claim to for now. Why? Because those who thought they were safe were easier to study than a cornered rat. To make the situation, even more ironic than it already was, was the fact that the boy bowed to him. Yes, he understood the action could be a culture thing, but still. To bow to the Leader of the Heartless and be a Light Heart too? That was hilarious! But the action, also made the Dark Heart wonder about something.
How was it that this kid was a keybearer, but didn’t at least pick up that he might’ve been dangerous. Still in training perhaps? Or could this one not sense at all? Hmmm….
The Heartless continued ponder his thoughts and watch the boy careful. It would appear that the boy had more to say, but the Heartless’s question from earlier finally sunk in and instead the boy repeated the word “knowledge” as he composed himself and tried to understand what was being asked. It took him a moment to process what had been said. A few seconds at the most, but a few seconds that almost made the Heartless think he would have to repeat himself…something he did not like to do, but in this case would make an exception for; however, the boy saved himself as he finally comprehended what had been asked and in turn began to speak. The words he heard were pleasing to the Heartless.
He nodded in response to the answer.
“Wise words from someone as young as you. I wish there were more that thought like that around,” the Heartless said after the room had fallen silent from the boy’s laugh. After he had spoken the words, the Heartless sensed a change in the boy. A sudden tug that suggested the boy may indeed attack him, probably finally sensing something amiss now that he was able to observe the Heartless better; however, the only thing that Ansem did was tilt his head slightly to the side. He was not worried about this child attacking. He was quite confident he could defeat the Light Warrior if it came to that, but the boy was smart and did not act on his impulse. Good move…and besides the boy was no longer the center of Ansem’s attention, his focus moved to “see” who the bigger fish of Light were that had just arrived. He stretched out his senses and listened to the whispers of the Dark.
He could sense the powerful Light that belonged to the mouse that was king of this castle— Mickey— long before he got near door and the Darkness had already whispered to him about the second familiar presence. So, as the boy introduced himself and then asked for his name, the Heartless smiled and took his time about answering.
For you see just then, the King entered followed by the familiar cloaked form of an Organization member. Knowing who it was without seeing, Ansem watched as the Organization pulled his hood down as he spoke introducing himself, but like the King did not seem to recognize him either. Heh. This could be beneficial…if….the other two did not cause trouble. It would be interesting to see how this all played out when he revealed himself. He definitely had to adapt his plan, but maybe it was not all lost. Just maybe. Can’t hurt to try, right?[/i] he thought to himself as he scanned Lea up and down from under his hood. He knew the man had a Heart once more, but what he was more interested in was the fact that the man had figured out how to gain a keyblade, making the battlefield more uneven for the Heartless; however, he was not afraid. No, his interest in those preset had just went up. He wanted to test them these new keybladers, but to do that would ruin his plans, so for now he’d have to collect data the old fashion way with time and patient. He could do that…for now.
Even more amused than before, the Heartless’s smile grew even more as he leaned forward, resting his elbows on the desk as he folded his hands together, and rested his head on them. His strange amber colored eyes seemed to glow from the shadows of the hood as he watched the trio for a moment before speaking into the small silence that had fallen over the area.
“Gene, I’d like to meet King Mickey, the owner of this castle,” he said waving a hand in a bored fashion towards the mouse before clasping his hands back together and nodding at the red head. “The other has already introduced himself, so no need for repetition, right? As for myself,” he paused a bit as his amused smile became a smirk. “My name is Ansem,” he said as he raised his head enough to reveal even more his face and white hair under the hood, his eyes shining with amusement, but also a hint of something not so human.
“I am sure we can all get along just fine, no?” he asked his tones harmless enough to the untrained ear or those that did not know him well. Hidden in those words was a warning to both the King and Lea not to do anything rash. For if they did, more misfortune would indeed befall a place that was still recovering from a previous attack. So what would the pair do? And the child? How would he contribute to it all? Anyway, the words were out there and the Heartless fell silent as his eyes flickered between Lea and Mickey before going back to the boy. He really didn’t want a fight, but on the other hand it would be interesting to find out exactly what Lea and Mickey would do. After all, it was not like three that were familiar with each other were on friendly terms now were they?

But as much as the King thought and thought about that, he could not place this man. It was though the feeling made it so familiar, and yet... nothing. Still, he had at least managed to gain the boy's name by coincidence, hearing it as the boy had introduced himself. Gene. Simple, easy enough to remember. And the kid seemed genuinely nice. In fact, he gave off a familiar aura as well in a sense. A feeling not like the King knew him, but knew something about him that he could sense. Like he was another that held something.
He'd noticed Mickey just as Mickey felt a hand on his shoulder, seeing a black coat familiar as ever, but with eyes and an attitude that brought a sense of familiarity. “Axel..?” Mickey has said low, before correcting himself after Axel had reintroduced himself by his new name, Lea. That was, after all, his real name. But his attention was redirected once he heard the figure in the brown cloak begin to speak. He knew Mickey? How was it he knew him? And knew this was his castle? He couldn't recall this person, but with their head so hidden... He spoke with such suaveness and charisma, it was so familiar, the sense he did know this person, and knew who it was..
Then a name was spoken. Ansem. Mickey's eyes shot open, as two possible avenues crossed here. There was Ansem the Wise, former leader of Radiant Garden. He hadn't seen him since taking on the moniker of DiZ, and the man, when Mickey had last encountered him, did seem to have an odd aura of darkness on him. But this man had so much... had Ansem the wise been affected by more darkness? But Riku... Riku had shown that Darkness was not evil, or at least not inherently evil. So why... Those eyes... that hair, could it be... Seeker of Darkness?
His body reacting on instinct, Mickey's clenched hand flashed a brilliant light, the golden Kingdom Key D shining in his hands. Yet he was trembling. If this was Ansem the Wise, then he should be a friend, yes? But if this was Xehanort's Heartless, who had taken the name Ansem, then how did he get here, why was he here, and why was he trying to be so friendly? He even seemed to suggest they might get along. Anyone with half a brain could see the King's hesitation, body and heart reacting seperate of his mind and in such a three tiered war that even Mickey could not budge from his seemingly self-inflicted paralysis.
“A-Ansem...?” Little stumped for what to do ^^;;[/style] |

At first Gene thought this place was dead but it was getting rather lively now huh? First there was the cloaked man and then the mouse and now there's Lea or was it Axel? The mouse called him Axel but the man introduced himself as Lea, weird. Gene was a bit distracted by the new arrivals but he managed to hear what the cloaked man had said. Gene blushed a little as he smiled, he didn't mind the compliment, it was nice. "Well I guess I got it from my parents. They always said school work and being educated was important," Gene said with a small laugh, see now he'd be a lot more intelligent if he had completely followed those words. The boy then turned his attention to the red haired man. The way he had introduced himself intrigued Gene, it was cool.
"Lea eh? Well I've definitely got that memorized so don't worry. It's also a pleasure to meet you," The black spiky haired boy said as he tapped his index finger on the side of his head. "You've gotta memorize the name Gene, G-E-N-E. Got all of that?" He added with a big smile as he stopped tapping his head. Now back to the cloaked man who introduced the mouse. Gene was honestly surprised it was the mouse who owned the castle and the fact that he was a king was even more surprising.
"Oh! I didn't realize this was your castle!" Gene said as he jumped up a bit. He then bowed to the mouse and contined to say "It's an honor to meet you your majesty I'm Gene. Sorry I just barged in the way I did! It was an accident really I kind of just wound up here!" He said in his bowed position as he then rose up as he was done speaking. Oh boy he wondered if Mickey would be mad at him, he hoped not. It wouldn't exactly end well for him if he ticked off the King of most likely this world. He wondered if Mickey was exactly the King of this world or maybe he owned many worlds. If he did rule over many worlds then no matter where Gene went he couldn't escape Mickey's wraith. Gene then let out a deep breath to calm himself down as he was just overreacting. The name Ansem ran through Gene's head for a bit. He felt as if he should know who that was.
"It's a pleasure to meet ya Ansem," Gene said as he then noticed Mickey summon up a Keyblade.....wait.....a Keyblade?! This took Gene by surprise as he didn't think anyone else would have one. Was this guy a student of Master Gallarus'? Maybe he was the student of someone else? Could this guy be a Master himself? Maybe he knew where Master Gallarus was. The more important question was why did he just summon his Keyblade though? Their were no heartless or nobodies around or anything. Ansem's comment made Gene a bit worried, was someone here enemies with anotehr. "Is there something I'm missing here?" Gene asked a bit concerned as he wasn't sure if a fight was about to break out or not.

Theme for this Post: Guardando nel Buio-Kingdom Hearts OSTA smirk appeared on Lea's face as Gene mocked his introduction in a not so subtle way. That smirk soon turned into a chuckle, eyes actually holding a hint of amusement at this. "Funny guy....yeah I've got all that." he said before growing serious once more, attention focused on the man in the brown coat as well as Mickey. Something...just..something was familiar about that man and the feeling he was getting. Like he knew he should know it...that he had felt it before in his past somewhere...but where? Lea's eyes widened as that name practically echoed through the room, sending a chill up his spine. A flash of light caught his attention..head turning in time to see Mickey's Keyblade appearing in his hand. However...he could tell the King was uncertain, and even he wasn't so sure. But was it really worth the risk? I mean they could be wrong. Taking another glance at Ansem as he noticed those yellow eyes he scowled, arm raising as he closed his fist, flames blazing to life in his fist as he summoned his own keyblade forth. "Yeah...we could all get along real well..."Like Mickey, Lea didn't dare make a move beyond summoning his Keyblade in case things weren't as they seemed. Mickey seemed to think there was a possiblity this was someone else. Perhaps Ansem the Wise...but just...the feeling Lea was getting. "I think you're losing your touch in your old age your Majesty. This guy's giving off way too weird a vibe to be anyone good. You and I can both agree on that right?" he asked before turning his gaze to Gene. "You might wanna get outta here kid. I have a feeling things are about to..." A fireball appeared in his free hand as he focused his attention on the brown cloaked man, ready for anything. "Heat up. Don't want an innocent like you getting caught in the crossfire if ya catch my drift."

Xion wasn't sure why her steps had led her through the Corridor to Disney Town's Castle.. She didn't remember ever being here, and yet something had seemed to pull her, tug at her thoughts and her feet...so that seemingly of their own accord she found herself standing in a majestic hallway, studying her surroundings with interest and curiosity...as well as caution, since Darkness seemed to be hovering, though she could not place the presence or the reason she felt it. She certainly didn't see anything that would cause her to feel anything like that..
In fact, she didn't see many people at all. Was this normally how the place was, seemingly almost deserted? Or had something happened to cause the inhabitants to be absent? These and other questions filed into the back of her mind as she began to wander, letting her feet take her where they would. She stopped at a door, hearing a voice that was very familiar. Her heart stopped. Was it...could it be??
Pushing open the door, forgetting the hood she still wore, she stared at the room's occupants. A young boy, who reminded her of Roxas, seemed to be of the Light..but again, she wasn't sure how she could tell that. A brown-cloaked man was nearby, and she stared at him, as his presence seemed awfully familiar, almost like... No, she would not even think his name....for the dread that he might return if she even thought it. She recognized Mickey, even though she had never truly met him. Her eyes turned to the other person in the room, and everything seemed to stop...time slowed... Could it be?
Axel...?!

The roomed filled up with delicious Light Hearts, all powerful in their own right. All tempting to test and at least attempt to consume. The Heartless wanted those Hearts of what they knew were keybearers. They wanted to consume them and claim the power they held for themselves, but Ansem held them back and even kept his own nature of wanting to experiment and test these keybearers in check. It was a hard thing to do, but his purpose here was not to fight. He had come here for something so simple, yet complicated at the same time. While the boy would’ve been an easier person to deal with, Mickey and Lea would probably make negotiation hard…and a fight just might break out between the former foes. It would be unfortunate if that were to occur, especially when at least Gene was so trusting, but only time would tell how this event would turn out.
The Heartless’s attention rested on the Gene as he spoke, seeming to be embarrassed by the small amount of praise the Heartless gave him in regards to wisdom. He said his parents taught him what he knew, placing an emphasis on education. Again, the information was pleasing to the Heartless and with ease he expressed his approval. “I would have to agree with them,” the Heartless said innocently enough, but inside he wondered just how much the boy listened to his parents…and where those parents might be. Were they alive? Dead? In a world where more Hearts existed? More Hearts to harvest for the Darkness? He wanted to know the answers, wanted to see if wherever this boy came from was a suitable home for the Darkness and his kind. Wanted to see what the Hearts there were capable of. He would have to find the boy’s home one day and in time perhaps take it for his own reasons. Test subjects were always good to have around to further his research into the Heart and what made humans and other beings tick. It would be an entertaining trek nonetheless, but for now that would be put on hold. He had business to attend to before he could play.
In any case, the Heartless refocused on the three at hand watching each person’s reaction to the other. Gene, the friendliest of the bunch, seemed to easily take to Lea and even mimicked his way of introduction, much to the red-head’s amusement. Ansem, on the other hand, simply narrowed his eyes slightly at this, seeing a flicker of Sora there in the boy’s bubbly attitude. Annoying, but something the Heartless quickly brushed aside as he continued to remain quiet and watch the show. Next, he watched as the boy apologized once more for his intrusion into the castle without permission, this time to Mickey. Half of this apologizing annoyed the Heartless who could only handle so much groveling before becoming biting and cold. It was not that he hated apologizes. No, he could handle one at the most, but expected actions not words to make up for errors. Too many apologizes worked the Heartless nerves to no end, he saw it as a sign of weakness and in turn lashed out at it when it became too much. Harsh? Perhaps, but in the Heartless’s eyes there was no room for excuses or weakness. You either did well and survived or you failed and became food for the Heartless. There were no other options in the Black Heart’s mind. Despite the annoyance, the Heartless also found this apologizing a little enlightening. The boy took what he said to be true, making him wonder how gullible the boy was and in turn how much he could use that to his advantage now or in the future. Hmmm…An annoying and yet perhaps a useful little human, then?[/color] Only time would tell.
In any case, the friendly air that was present in the room suddenly shifted as Ansem’s eyes rested on Mickey. The quietest one of the group. The Mouse King had remained tense and quiet the whole time, but now he seemed to react as he heard the Heartless’s name.
Gene remained friendly enough, but his pleased to meet you was ignored as the Heartless became completely focused on Mickey as the tensed mouse’s fist clenched and the distinctive flash of a keyblade being summoned filled the room. The smirk that had been on Ansem’s face did not fade as his golden colored eyes remained locked on the mouse who seemed like he did not know what to do. He wanted to attack on instinct, his Heart telling him exactly what the cloaked figure was and yet the name threw the mouse for a loop and kept him hesitating instead. He heard the mouse repeat his name, catching onto the internal war within the mouse and becoming even more amused.
Could it be possible that Mickey thought that he was Ansem, the Wise? The foolish man who had blown himself into the deepest corners of the Darkness when he had tried to stop Xemnas from completing his version of Kingdom Hearts? Ha! He was far from that sad excuse of a human. Regardless of the uncertainty of the King, Ansem did not mock him or attempt to do anything else that would put him on edge. In fact, the hesitation became an opening for the Heartless that he was eager to take. He wanted to speak and explain what the king sought to know. The boy’s questioning only made this opening even better to take advantage of…however, before the Heartless could make his move the last in the room decided to add fuel to the flames already burning.
At first the red head was just as confused as the boy, but then taking a second look at Ansem, green eyes met with amber colored ones and that was all it took to cause the other to scowl and summon his own keyblade from an angry blaze of fire. Impressed the former Nobody had managed to figure out how to summon a keyblade, the Heartless leader’s smirk became a shark like grin, temptation pulling at him again, but once more he held back the desire to take up the challenge the keyblades posed. In time, he’d test those blades, but not here. Not now.
Despite what the Heartless thought, there was a response to the situation threat. Without really asking for anything to aid him, a Corridor opened and a second cloaked figure stepped out dressed in a cloak similar to the Organization’s, but made of pure darkness instead. The figure’s face was shrouded in shadows, but the stance it took would be familiar to the King and Lea. Taking a quick step back, the cloaked figure raised its left hand to chest level with its palm facing upward as it moved its right hand slightly above the ear as a shadowy version of the Way to Dawn appeared in its hand. The creature was ready to fight, but did not make a move as its head turned slightly towards Lea - the most threatening of the group in the room.
There was a tense silence for a few seconds and then Ansem chuckled, finding it interesting how it was the Anti-Heartless that decided to protect him from the threat and not something lower than itself and ironically it had decided to mimic the boy that refused him so. He wondered if those present had something to do with the form it chose… or if perhaps the creature, unlike the lower ranks had picked up on the reason he was here and decided to give him something to use to his advantage instead. It was hard to say, but he was glad at least the creature did not attack. That would’ve undone the already fragile plan in play.
In any case, Lea’s words reached the Heartless’s ears easily enough, the sarcasm in the first comment easily heard and brushed off as he instead focused on the next set of words. To them Ansem simply shook his head before speaking.
“Tsk. Tsk. Tsk. So eager to fight without even hearing me out and putting this one on edge for no reason too,” Ansem said in calm tones that held a hint of disappointment in them as he nodded in Gene’s direction, but remained focused on Mickey and Lea.
“But I supposed one such as myself would put keybladers on edge. Don’t all Heartless have the same effect?” he asked, his smirk returning for the briefest of moments and then it vanished as he became serious. “However, I did not come here to fight with you keybladers,” he said as he leaned back in the chair resting his white gloved hands on the arm rests before continuing, his eyes locking on Mickey as he peeked around Anti-Riku who guarded him. “If it is not a fight then why is a Heartless here and how? Those are the questions that are probably going through each of your heads, no? Well the answer is simply. This place is full of Light and so in turn draws the largest of shadows. You pretty much invited me here when you tipped the scales in your favor. Besides, there was not much resistance left. It seems something else took a heavy blow to your forces didn’t it, your Majesty?” the Heartless said as he watched Mickey for a moment longer before focusing on Gene and Lea. “You Light Warriors want to destroy the Darkness and bring Light to the world; however, you are only asking for Darkness to come in going down that path. On the flip side, Darkness does the same as it consumes worlds. We pretty much bring this war upon ourselves in our fight for dominance over the other, but don’t you ever get tired of it all? The loss and constant fighting? Constantly losing those you care about? Fighting a battle that can never be won?” he paused to let the words sink watching each in turn and then his eyes rested on Mickey.
“Light and Dark are of the same coin, so why fight to erase the other when in the end the solution to the problem is simply giving each side enough space to live comfortable alongside the other, hmm?” Ansem asked with a slight smile and then he fell silent to wait to see the reactions to what he was suggesting. If things went well, no one would get hurt and the Heartless would move on to his next step in his plan, but if things turned sour. Well….that would be unfortunate for everyone now wouldn’t it?
In the silence, only the crackling of the fireball in Lea’s hand was heard as tension ran high in the area. Anti-Riku remained calm and unafraid just like the original as its gold colored eyes continued to watch the potential threats for a moment longer and then its head moved slightly to look behind the King and Lea at the new presence that had come in.
Ansem took note of the slight change in Anti-Riku as his eyes drifted from three before him to the direction the other had looked. His eyebrows only raised in slight shock as he saw what was there. A small figure clad in the Organization’s cloak, every bit as empty as a Nobody and yet, so different. And now we have the puppet Xemnas had created? Heh. What will crop of next?[/i] the Heartless thought as he wondered how much of the conversation the girl had heard and what she would do in this situation. ___________________________________________________________________________________

So much that seemed to flow and happen both outside the King's world and within this very same room. The hand of fate tugged close on the strings of life, and yet wove them perfectly so that it would seem that the Strings of Ansem, Lea, Mickey, this new boy Gene, and yet one other would all collide, here in this very room, on this very day. Once thought as Ansem the wise, Mickey kept staring at this figure before him, even as Gene spoke and apologized for intruding. The boy's words did not go unheard, though they did go unanswered. Much more pressing matters were at hands than the frankly trivial matter as to how this boy came to exist here, and what the lack of security guards now meant on this world. Perhaps it best if he looked into hiring that Red Head Felix as a part time guard, at least until the Knights could be replenished. But all of this mattered so little. So, so little, unless fate decided to let the strings come unwound, without any of them breaking.
Mickey shut his eyes for a moment, needing to concentrate. His grip on his keyblade tightened, hesitation at it's highest as Ax... Lea's word's reached his ears and commented on him losing his touch. Ha! If only he knew how spry Mickey still was. Well, he probably did actually, but there was much more to think about than that. Ansem had been in a darker time, when everything seemed to make sense and was simpler. Back when things were black and white, light and darkness. But ever since the defeat of Xehanort's Heartless that first time, it had been so less simple. Riku's mastery over darkness and it's power without succumbing to it's taint, the rise and fall of the Organization through Xemnas, and now it's second rise through Xehanort himself. What else was there, and what else would come? Nothingness... It all ended in that, didn't it?
“That is none of your concern,” Mickey muttered, reopening his eyes with his stern, seriou gaze. Head low, eyes glaring at Ansem. There was hate in there, perhaps, but it was more at the knowledge that this Heartless was less just the Heartless of the Apprentice Xehanort, but in a way, also part of his old friend Terra... It was all so... heinous. “You speak as though we can coexist, and yet not four years ago, you tried to bring ll the worlds to darkness, claiming we all return to it through Kingdom Hearts. A different song to be singing now. What changed your tune I wonder, Sora's victory over you? Riku's eventual victory over you from within, or something more?”
Mickey kept his keyblade out and ready, but did not take his eyes off Xehanort's Heartless. Even as a girl who's presence seemed familiar, yet lost, like a friend forgotten long ago entered, Mickey stayed locked on the figure of Xehanort's Heartless and the anti-Riku. “Light and Darkness need to exist together, we all have some part of each within us. Yet there's more for you being here than to just try and explain that to us, isn't there? Say it and be done with it, and none of your tricks. We've grown in power since you last rose to yours, do not try any tricks!” Mickey Demanded, using his Kingly voice and presence that he so often evoked. I swear my Mickey muse must be on the fritz -.-[/style] |

Things were getting more confusing by the moment when Lea had warned Gene that he might get hurt. When Lea then summoned up a fireball and then pointed it at Ansem it was obvious now who was enemies with who. Why was it that Lea and Mickey seemed so against Ansem? What was their relationship with one another? It was clear that Lea knew Mickey but why again were they so against Ansem? Gene was also shocked that Lea had a Keyblade and was kind of impressed by the way he summoned his. Gene took a moment to look at Ansem again, there was still something about him that didn't seem right. He then remembered Master Gallarus' training about sensing strong presences of light and darkness. The spiky haired boy closed his eyes and took in a deep breath before muttering the word "focus" under his breath. He imagined as if he had his Keyblade in his hand and was putting it straight out in front of him. There were two sources of light and one strong...very strong source of darkness. Who was it though? He focused harder and it was clear to him that the source of darkness was coming from Ansem.
This darkness felt like the darkness coming from that masked kid and the purple eye man. Honestly this darkness felt as if it had been stalking Gene all of his life. He hated the feeling of being watched and it was happening all over again. Even if the darkness was coming from Ansem that didn't give Gene the right or instinct to try and destroy him. Ansem seemed like a nice man so why would Gene be hostile to him, unless Mickey and Lea know something that he didn't. To be on the safe side Gene would remain silent and just watch before he made a move. As he reopened his eyes he listen to Ansem speak about putting Keybladers on edge. Did Ansem have a Keyblade as well? Maybe he just knew about them? It wouldn't surprise Gene if he had one though, Mickey and Lea had one and so did he. Before he knew it a corridor much like the one the masked kid used appeared. Instead of a masked boy appearing a cloaked one did. Where did he come from? Was he friend or foe. Before he could say anything the next sentence spoken got to Gene though....Heartless. The word made Gene remember what happened in Radiant Garden. He didn't want to remember it! He shouldn't be remembering it! Now was not the time to be freaking out he needed to relax himself the look on his face was giving away something was bothering him. As he was fighting off the memory he still focused on Ansem's words. Good so he wasn't here to start a fight. That didn't answer for his friend though who seemed ready for a fight.
This place full of light? Well now that Gene thought about it Ansem was right this place was more than full of light it was bursting with it. So it was clear now that Ansem was a Heartless something that Gene was told he needed to destroy. The next comment made Gene wonder if this castle was recovering from a fight and that's why it seemed pretty much deserted. Did he just call Gene a Light Warrior? Sure he didn't exactly fight for Darkness but he surely didn't fight for light or well at least not yet. All this talk about light and darkness it hurt his head. What Ansem said was true but there were a few things he could call the man out on. Gene then turned his head when he heard Mickey begin to speak. What the mouse King said somewhat surprised Gene and angered him at the same time. Ansem tried to bring all worlds to darkness and then try and spew this stuff as if that never happened? The names Sora and Riku sounded a bit familiar to Gene but whoever they are he was glad they stopped this guy.
This made Gene so furious! He was kind to this guy and believed he was a nice guy. Not only was this guy the opposite of what Gene thought he was just like the masked kid and purple eyed man. "Lea don't worry about me getting caught in the crossfire," Gene said breaking his long silence before he extended his arm out and summoned his Keyblade in a flash of light around his hand. "I can take care of myself just fine with this. I'd put Master Gallarus' reputation and my own honor to shame if I didn't know how to fight properly," He added with a bit of a cocky grin on his face. "Ansem what you said might have been true about Heartless being drawn to light and that we might bring war upon ourselves but how can you say that if we give each other space when you yourself tried to bring all worlds to darkness?!" The spiky haired youth's voice was becoming loud and his face became fierce and filled with rage as the memories of losing his family and home twice to darkness ran through his head. "Like Mickey said Light and Darkness need to coexist with each other, you can't have one without the other. But how can we give each other peace and space to live in tranquillaty when there are people like you, those Heartless that took over Radiant Garden. That half-masked punk and that Purple eyed man that want darkness to consume everything!" Gene then tightened the grip on his Keyblade as he kept it pointed at Ansem.
"Maybe now Light Warriors are necessary to keep the balance between Light and Darkness so that the Darkness don't consume everything. If we are fighting an endless battle that can never be won I'd rather have that than have it so that then let the Darkness have it's way. I'll fight until I die Ansem!" Gene felt as if he was staring at everything that had bothered him, everything he wanted to destroy. "I don't know much about anyone in here but I can feel the darkness coming from you and that cloaked guy guarding you Ansem. Now tell me is what King Mickey said true?! Did you try and consume all worlds into Darkness?!" Gene wasn't going to let something terrible happen to this world or anyone in this room that was good, not again. He then looked up and noticed a person wearing a similar cloak to the guy guarding Ansem walk in. If they were associated with Ansem then they might mean trouble.
