A BROKEN MARIONETTE , unfortunately, due to the nature of Miumi’s work as a MARK HUNTER , he had been under pressure due to the slew of sudden jobs, which had mostly been caused by his recent rising within the rankings. Dark circles and bags lingered underneath his eyes giving an almost raccoon like appearance, but also is movements were strange and almost faintly robotic as he lacked the fluidity of his normal movements and often stumbled. He had taken a brief break in the OUT POST , relying on his precious weapon OKAMIGA NO ONI to cleave open one of the nearby cacti and drain of its water in order to sustain himself. He also ravenously and gluttonously devour a piece of meat that had managed to buy off one of the merchants, however it only managed to sooth the pangs of pain, which occasionally erupted through his stomach as well as tide off the waves of nausea and dizziness that had been sweeping over him. He had yet to grasp while within his humanoid state he was far weaker despite being the same being and had yet to fully realize his own limits against some of the feeble prey he hunted.
Slowly, he would rise up from the wooden crate that he had been resting upon, as he would adjust the crimson ribbon that bound his layered sable locks up and kept them from sticking to his neck. Unfortunately, one of his marked missions required him to traverse through the Yardang Labyrinth . A faint sigh would escape from between his coral colored lips as he looked upwards towards the wide expanses of the cerulean sky, but avoided looking at the blazing and hot Dalmascan sun. His thoughts drifted away from the task at the hand for the time being and as they did, a low and seductive voice rang out within his ears. He no longer flinched when he heard that voice of velvet and had long since given up looking over his shoulder because no matter how quick he reacted there was never anyone there.“Find our Lady Altima.”
Unfortunately, that voice often leads Miumi to question his sanitiy, because he was the sole person whom could hear it. However, he embraced the voice perhaps because it had been the first thing he had heard when he had awoken within that village. Oddly, he had no memory prior to that aside from waking up within a puddle of blood perfectly fine, but surrounded by many dead bodies. He would push those thoughts back into the dark chambers of his mind, as he would turn to face the steep canyon entrance to the Yardang Labyrinth . His petite body looked miniscule in comparison to the high walls that surrounded him now. He didn’t remember how far he had walked encountering a few cacti’s, which had managed to easily dispatch with a few swings of his scythe or a quick spell. He seemed to almost drone onwards as soon beads of sweat had begun to cling to his forehead and glistened like crystals. His porcelain hands kept rising upwards to wipe it from his brow and prevent it from spilling into his eyes, which were darting around taking in ever little detail.
Oddly, one would probably notice they were not only different colors, while one was an icy blue the other was a deep chocolate brown, but they also were slit much like a serpents. An occasional sound would cause his ears to twitch or cone towards the source of a sound much like a wolves would naturally do. He also had gotten into the habit of twitching his tail when a fly or a mosquito would land upon it. However, midway through the labyrinth, suddenly his entire world would blur and he found it hard to focus. It lasted for a couple moments before his world went black as his body fell forward collapsing upon the ground. His legs sprawled at strange angles upon the scorching alabaster and golden sand. His weapon had been stored a while ago and lay in the holster that hung loosely from his hips. His petite body had only the leather jacket, which had a fur, lined hoodie and a shirt that was split at around the navel to frame his body’s shape as well as allow a full range of movement. His skirt, which only managed to cover the bare necessities and a little more, while it, was also made of leather, but it had layers of cloth stitched to the outer layers so that it did not cling to the body when he got hot.
Finally his legs which had a variety of straps made of leather coiled up and down their lengths and locked in place by a series of golden clasps. While his eyes flicked open once or twice, he saw figures approaching him and for a moment felt weightless as he was picked up, but that was the last thing he remembered. It was unknown how much time had passed but when Miumi awoken he was within a room that had over hanging fluroscent lights of some sort. His first instinct was to sniff the air, while there was a mydrid of scents he couldn’t recognize, countless people must have been through the room various times, but unfortunately Miumi picked up the undeniable smell of sickness, albeit faint and well masked by the smell of disinfectants. His focus soon came to the faint pain in his right arm he had been attached to a series of tubes which were filtering water into his system. He looked down and slowly began to reach his hand over to remove it but was stopped by the sound of foot-steps approaching. Instictively he reached for his weapon but found that it wasn’t by his side where it should have been.
