Legends told of some of the worst creatures of the world of Archipelago. Creatures so powerful no mere man could defeat them and come out alive and on top. Some where vanquished by a lone brooding hero, who saved the world from time itself. Others lay in wait, just waiting to have their bellies filled by those stupid enough to face them. One tale spoke of a Weapon so powerful, even the hero of time could not defeat him quickly like the others. But could two defeat him in a time?
It was here, at the Fountain, that we would find our heroes. The battle to commence would be long and hard, but perhaps they might yet come out on top. Perhaps. Within this Time Sorceress’s castle lay the most powerful creature in existence. Should our heroes come out on top, perhaps bragging rights would be within reach. But could they survive a battle against something that seemingly never died? In this old castle of the Time witch, stuck in a loop forever doomed, the old fountain ran still, the dark air and dark atmosphere sending chills down the spines of anyone not strong enough to contend. The wooden doors of the Chapel lay ahead, but our heroes were smart. They knew how to awaken the behemoth beneath the castle, yes? Could they accomplish that much of a simple task?

Well I’ll tell you what he does, he goes off looking for a challenge whether it was in the form of picking up a girl playing hard to get, gambling in a dark and skittish bar, or fighting a giant monster that few lived to tell the horrifying tale of. In today’s case it was behind door #3 that Felix would be, having travelled to a very peculiar castle on the world known as Archipelago. It was in this castle that the red-head would attempt to summon a beast of legend, a creature so terrifying that even its name made most shake. Perhaps it was ignorance but from what he had heard about the creature he was far from terrified, in fact he was nothing short of excited. It had been a while since he had a fight where his life was one the line and if this monster was as strong as everyone claimed then it should prove entertaining. The one issue he was having though right now was getting to that creature in time after he performed the little task required to summon it.
”Gah why the hell did they have to put that done bell so far away?!” he shouted as he scratched his head furiously, ”I mean come on what use is it if you can’t even hope to get to the damn church in time to fight this stupid thing?!” he added, kicking a nearby wall in frustration. It wasn’t a particularly good idea as the walls were made of some rather sturdy stone and the only result was an incredibly painful sensation in his right foot. Hopping on one foot as he grabbed the other one, the freelancer would shout a few obscenities at no one in particular in regards to the pickle he was in. He wished to fight this creature but the bell he had to ring to summon the creature was rather far from the chapel he found himself in. He had attempted three times already to sprint over here as quickly as possible but had failed each time, only catching a brief glimpse of the creature before it vanished. How such a huge monster could vanish so quickly was beyond him but the reality remained that he couldn’t pull this off by running at normal speed. It seemed like his only choice would be using Mass Manipulator |
to get here in time but if he did that then he wouldn’t be in his best condition to fight. Even if it was only one mass switch, it could mean the difference between life and death against this creature which was spoke so highly of. ”Ugh, what I wouldn’t do for a teleportation technique right about now,” he complained as he placed his right palm to his face. Indeed, such ability would certainly make this ordeal trivial in accomplishing and wouldn't require him sprinting all the way back and being exhausted before the fight actually begun. Thus the question became more so than could he defeat the monster, but could he actually summon it and get back to the chapel in time to battle with it? He racked his brain for ideas in this hopeless situation but couldn’t really think of much short of having another person with him. ”I really should have brought the brat with me,” he mused aloud to seemingly no one in particular, ”I mean he probably wouldn’t be that helpful when the fighting began but he could at least pull the rope to chime the bell ne? Going back to get him at this point though would be far too troublesome and it’s not like I can convince anyone in a nearby town to help me with this. I can imagine it now, “hey want to help me summon a beast known for mass destruction that is said to be able to kill you with just a glance?”, I’m sure that would work incredibly well,” he commented, sighing lightly as he sat down for a moment, placing his hands to support him from behind. Looking up to the roof of the chapel, a small smirk curved against his lips as he rolled his eyes at what thought occurred to him upon doing so. ”I don’t suppose you can hook me up can you “God?” he asked as a small “hmph” escaped his lips, ”Hell maybe you can even make my assistant be a beautiful young lady who can hold her own and shall not disappoint me if you’re feeling particularly generous today,”[/style] [STYLE=font-family: trebuchet ms; font-size: 9px; color: #606060; opacity: 0.9; text-align: right;]MADE BY AYU OF BACK TO NEVERLAND ( x)[/style]

The people at the board really didn't have much in the ways of interesting catches for the hunts. Some giant fishes, stinking plants, and even a weirdo gecko with a lantern. Talk about coming up short on the fun scale. Whatever happened to those days where dragons of titanic proportions terrorized countrysides and burned poor farmer's crops? Emblem was all hyped up from the war stories some of the tales she managed to catch wind of in Traverse Town and Port Royal. Ones about devils of the sea, flying suits of armor the size of clock towers, or even of ghostly vessels that claim the souls of travelers. She couldn't fathom any reason why hunters wouldn't dare to tackle that tattered request way in the corner within Esthar.
"Omega Weapon eh? That flier was pretty descriptive as to what to do." the raven haired merc said, scratching the back of her head in response to what she needed to do to even face this beast.
Whoever placed the call for this creature did so in a weird language. Even with the over usage of 'ze', she could make out the entire process. Yet no matter how much she asked around in guilds and even the Garden SeeD, nobody would take her offer. I mean, how rude was it to deny a request from such a cute girl! Part of her self-conscious nature went to her somewhat hill of a chest, but the disciplined side snapped that fantasy right out the window just as quickly. She certainly had more to offer than just eye candy in that area! Was it really so difficult to appeal for a team to take down a dorky named creature?
Regardless, now Emblem had to walk this creepy castle that only a vampire could love. Seriously. Tattered carpets, noble chandeliers, and paintings with the habit of staring at your every move. She couldn't help but shake off those heeby jeebies from the creepy atmosphere. To make things worse, these creatures that inhabited the deserted grounds were just as freaky! She saw what would happen if a lion, a bull, and a hot dog got their game on one night, and woke up with an abomination of a child. One with a pretty foul temper, who she believed was still rampaging somewhere in the dining room back in the main house. Probably feeding off on all those mummy hands she slayed.
They had it coming. NO samples! How hard was it to understand that simple of a concept?!
Emblem's search for clues eventually brought her to the chapel. She had been exploring for a bit with rest breaks here and there, so this so-called 'bell' was already located. Now on her way down into this weed infested courtyard, the girl was little ways away from the chapel's entrance. Something that was probably just as fitting for the creep factor of this place. As well as being inconveniently located far away from the bell, with no mystical portal to fast track between places! Seriously, who had a hard on for this kind of crazy stuff?
"Probably the same guy who's got a penchant for cobwebs and letting freaky monsters roam free in their home. Yuck." Emblem ungratefully dissed at her surroundings.
The white jacketed girl climbed the small, but very aged stairs to the chapel's grand doors. Noticing it was practically screaming the same vibes as the initial doorsteps, the foyer, the courtyard, and heck...even the dungeon, the girl decided all was still right in this crazy rig. It wouldn't hurt to take a look around inside. Not like the area could throw her any more curve balls at this point. One could hope though! Maybe Emblem could chance upon a doohickey that can time-release activate the bell tower, so she could casually waltz on back to the chapel and take on this beastie!
Or she could look like a complete retard that was incapable of opening the chapel doors. Creaking sounds of resistance sneering at her feeble strength only made the irritated Emblem motivated. So what would any right-minded, power amped pugilist do when presented with a problem like this?
"TESSHOU!" chanted a wide-legged stanced Emblem, symbolic of the Eastern karate's fortified position. Her gauntlet struck the rotted doors with resounding force, blasting them off their hinges and into the chapel. It was a simple tactic known by the students of karate, and one that had its uses even outside of battle. Best of all: It allowed safe passage without getting too dirty! At least...until the dust settled from that sonic punch to the doorway.
"Pfft.." the girl said, pouting while putting her hands on her hips, "The only real good thing I can see already is that organ. Bet it doesn't even work."
Though her instinct said no, she couldn't resist going in to check. Who knows what she'd find. At the very least, it couldn't be any less productive than what she already got done. Push came to shove, she could always use the Gates of Deus to warp from the bell tower; now that she's seen where this battleground was gonna take place.
"Best go and scope out this place. At least I can gates here whenever I feel like."[/style]

Actually, more so than an echo, it was the sound of the chapel doors being blown off their hinges and crashing onto the floor with tremendous force. It was a sound that the freelancer wasn’t particularly pleased to hear for his first thought was that it was going to be another monster to deal with. Indeed, while not mention previously the red-head had dealt with a few monsters himself during his stay here and one that was able to knock those doors down didn’t sound particularly entertaining. He had to save his strength after all and any fights that could be avoided he did even if it had been extremely tempting to slay any one of the numerous beasts in this odd castle. Never the less, if said beast had come to him though instead of having stumbled upon it he didn’t really have much choice in the matter. Standing back up and dusting himself off, he turned around to face the creature, slipping into an Orthadox Thai stance… only to be shocked to see what had actually preformed such a daring feat. Yes, instead of a huge monster with giant monkey arms of death (his one weakness), it was a rather petite looking woman who seemed to be wearing gauntlets. Indeed, a rather fine looking woman at that upon setting his eyes upon her caused the freelancer’s lips to curve into his signature grin. Looking up to the ceiling once more, his facial expression would become a bit more mischievous as he nodded to whatever God had granted him his request in gratitude. He had gotten his wish and if the girl could blow off the chapel doors with very little effort than he figured that she would be able to hold her own in a fight. In fact to get through this castle surely she had to have been able to, not all monsters could be avoided here after all. Some were more persistent others so if this girl was weak by any means than she surely would have been taken down before she even got a few feet past the front door. She was most certainly a keeper and if nothing else she could pull the rope and summon the beast for him to take down ne? That being noted, the freelancer would slip his right hand into his pocket, pulling out a breath mint for the occasion. Even though he wasn’t that worried about his breath being smelly, it never hurt to be sure before approaching a cute looking girl did it? Slipping it in his mouth, he would also check his hair off a nearby reflective surface, making sure it was still in its usual shape. Indeed, the usual shape of messy bed-hair that was done on purpose in such a way that it actually looked good as opposed to scummy. With that check done, he would also make a quick once over on his clothes, examining it for any stains that he might have incurred. Sure enough, his white sleeved shirt had some rather undesirable spots showing on it and with no change of clothes left the freelancer little choice. Discarding the shirt for the time being, the freelancer would opt to approach her in the black muscle shirt he had on underneath. Walking toward her as she seemed to go about exploring the chapel, the freelancer would raise his right hand and wave over to her as he smiled. ”Why hello there miss how are you today?” he started, stopping when within a few feet of her and slipping his hands into his pockets, ”If you don’t mind my asking, what’s a pretty woman like yourself doing in a place like this? I don’t suppose you’re after Omega Weapon by any chance are you?” he added attempting to discern her reason for appearing here. Indeed, while the freelancer doubted anyone would be crazy enough to take up this challenge like he had, the fact that there was another living soul in here was odd enough. It wouldn’t be too far-fetched to believe someone might also be as foolish brave as him and wish to slay the beast of such grand and intricate legends. If that happened to be the case it would be rather pleasant anyway, if she could blow massive doors off their hinges then surely she could also be of assistance in fighting the beast. Or at the very least she could pull the rope while he fought and then finish it off before she came back so he could take all the credit. Yes, that certainly did sound like a pleasant idea and thus with that thought in mind he continued soon after. ”If so perhaps we should cooperate… I’ve been feeling up to fighting the thing myself but summoning it is proving to be a giant pain in the ass,” he started, his facial expression showing his frustration although far more controlled than it was previously, ”I tried to do it myself but pulling the rope and running back here through the hordes of monsters isn’t exactly easy to do. That being said if you wouldn’t mind could you go and pull the rope so we can get this show on the road? I’ll engage him right away so I can keep him busy until you get back and then we can really lay into him as I imagine with gauntlets like that you’re a bit of a brawler too ne?” he finished, throwing a quick combo to show a bit of his ability in the martial arts. It was a simple combo, at least for the red-head anyway, that consisted of five strikes and two feints. It began with a double left jab as he slipped into his Muyi Thai stance and then moved right into a right cross. Or at least that’s what it would look like but instead would merely be a feint setting the freelancer up for a left body hook. Next would be another right cross or rather another right feint, instead throwing yet another left hook but this time at the head. The last strike would end with a right elbow aimed toward the face and where one’s eye would be; making use of the fact elbows could cause cuts and blind any would-be opponent as blood leaking into one’s eye often made it hard to see. Each blow was thrown fluidly and aside from the two jabs at the beginning, each strike had involved a pivot, throwing Felix’s weight behind each strike. Not only that but the freelancer also kept his defense in check with his chin down and always bringing one hand back to his face to guard. To be frank it was all really basic stuff but any fellow martial artist would know that the basics were what matter the most in a fight. Indeed, you wouldn’t always be able to land an impressive ten hit combo or a spinning back-kick and trying to force it was just the epitome of foolishness. No, the most important thing was sticking to the basics as they were often just as effective, if not more effective than a bigger combo or technique. Whatever the case, once he finished his little display he would grin widely as he winked at her, cracked his knuckles, and let a small snicker escape his lips. ”So what do you say miss want to take on this beastie together?” he asked although as the words escaped his mouth he realized something incredibly important… he hadn’t even introduced himself! ”Ah I’m sorry I didn’t even introduce myself yet! My name is Felix Maximilian, the #1 Freelancer of Radiant Gardens! It’s a pleasure to meet a cute girl like you Ms…?” he trailed off, allowing her to fill in the blank. Other females would probably find it cute to have such a decent guy hitting on them. Something Uchitel thought he was doing. The whole experience was pretty new to her, since there weren't a whole lot of males her age back in Traverse Town. Many of the nice shop ladies did talk about their youth and this 'hit.' An act of romantic gestures in attempt to sway the female to join in a bond that can lead to marriage in the future.
Sadly, Emblem wasn't the best target for such advances. Every smooth amour mixed with a bit of useful logic just happily pranced over the fence that was her mind, at a speed which she could just happily watch them pass through. Somewhere, mixed in with the rest of the jargon, was the following messages she managed to get out of it:
- Felix Maximillian. - Wanting to cooperate - Ginger.
Not the best translation, but she got the two essential parts of the endless jibber from this fighter of Radiant Gardens. Nodding at everything, even the whole 'fending' off bravado, Emblem swung her arm forth to give a very fierce handshake to her newly joined teammate. A bright smile to show her emotions, united by arms, and a greeting to get this group off to a good start!
"Pleasure to meet'cha Felix Maximillian. I'm Emblem, and I guess my hometown would be Traverse Town. Can't really recall much else to be honest." the raven haired girl spoke jubilantly, kinda letting the compliments pass on by her. Felix could blame the focus she had in her eyes for that, with its radiant innocence and all.
"You're just what I've been looking for in this dusty old keep! Seeing as we're both on the same wavelength about this here puzzle..." Emblem began, patting the piece of parchment she got from the job with details about the process of engagement. "...I'ma go back and ring that bell to get Omega Weapon to come on out! Shouldn't be too long for my return, so long as nothing destroys this!"
Her white jacket moved rapidly for a few moments, performing a few seals that may have been associated with a technick of sorts. Ending in what appeared to be a formation having her thumbs interlocked, the girl touched the ground and formed two stone pillars. Nothing was between them, but it was close enough to be a gate of sorts if it had an arch or a door. Looks didn't matter so much as the purpose of it all, which Emblem needed for her convenient quick travel back.
Winking and waving her index finger towards Felix, she gave a quick warning playfully before heading on back towards the main castle, "Don't let anybody or anything break those till I come back! It's super important you know!"
Off she went and back tracked through the elegant horror house of the castle stuck between time's rifts. She was making sure that her endurance wasn't being drained too rapidly, but moving faster than a walk. Several beasts stood in her way during her ascent, but were just punched or kicked out of her path. There was hardly any time to be wasting on the small fry! If there was enough care remaining after this hunt, then she could spend some of it beating down the numerous oversized horned puppies and undead molesters on the way out. Emblem wouldn't hold her breath for it though.
With a pounce off the protruding, grounded face of a Vysage, the girl bolted through the mahogany doors and immediately shut them afterwards. A quick look around, and she eyed out a candlebra that would serve as a brace between the door's latches. Once secured, the girl moved away from the pounding on the other side that belonged to some agitated Vysage's along with its cohorts. They were something she could deal with, and so could the door. However, Emblem was pretty sure she came across a Behemoth or two along the way here...with their sharp horns and big body and....
...She needed to hurry. That's all there was to it.
Making her way and marveling once again at the large bell overhead, she kicked the level little ways away from the base of the spiral staircase. A couple rings and dongs later that surely knocked out an eardrum from her, Emblem recalled hearing a roar through this rather obnoxious sound in the room. That probably meant she did her job well, and that Felix would be requiring her presence in the very near future. He looked capable, but was he so to the point where Omega Weapon could be tackled by him alone? Emblem highly doubted that.
The pounding on the door grew fiercer, and that candlebra didn't look too well in terms of durability. Apparently this bell also seemed to do a number on the normal monsters within the castle, making them more aggressive than they previously were. That was her deduction, for those lefty and righty creatures didn't hit nearly as hard to the point of causing cracks to form in that solid mahogany wood. It was time to go.
Forming the seals and summoning the twin pillars once again, this time melded together by a purplish light. The grand gateway formed through Emblem's core was primed for immediate use, which she gladly used after taking a look back and noticing the very shanty condition of the room's doors. No further reasons needed to leave the area, the merc jumped right through the portal of light. Her ticket out shattered into pieces behind her, just as the creatures managed to break in with their driven madness.
That momentum the beasts from the castle had wasn't the only one present. As Emblem moved through the sudden flashes of light before her, a new sensation burned into her nerves. She felt new thoughts taking priority over those present, as well as the awkward tingle of having hair rapidly grow. It also wouldn't be fictionally incorrect to say she felt a bit ravaged from the light, as her clothing and muscles shifted about in their own unique ways. This was a sensation she had grown accustomed to when utilizing the magical arte known as the Gates of Deus. Her mode of transportation, as well as the key to unlocking her battle prowess.
For as she stepped out of the newly activated gate in front of the fountain of the cathedral, her looks had changed drastically from when Felix last saw her. No longer was it the raven haired pugilist with a white battle jacket. The Emblem that emerged was much more regal in appearance, with her color scheme shifted to red, gold, and purple. A white jacket was swapped out for a brilliant ruby mantle that covered her sleeveless dress top. Emblem's unruly raven hair was now straightened violet strands that had the bangs held back by a decorated cachusa. She was dressed more appropriately for a royal dinner rather than a grand battle against a legendary creature, or perhaps befitting for an archsage.
Either way, there was a considerably different air about this new Emblem. Her slender fingers revealed a satin fan, which was whipped open and placed to where only a pair of amber eyes were visible. Slender in shape, this girl walked forward and into the blown open cathedral. She would give Felix a glance; one that was slyly teasing any expression he could possibly give back.
"Ara? Does my new look appeal to you Master Maximillian? I took you to be the type that liked a bit more flair and was honest about it~ Fufun~" Emblem teased, hiding that smirk behind her accessory. "We should spend more time talking if time permits. I am sure your libido would be most pleased if given the chance to flex a bit more, would it not fufun~?"
During that playful exchange, Emblem's petite body began massing magical force into a spiraling circle underneath the robes. Her long hair expelled outwardly under the gathering power, as she focused her attention upon the lumbering beast near the altar of the cathedral. Something she found ironic upon turning to the Alcadeius form. A monster, whose residence was in a sacred place, and was ready to drive out the very beings who crafted the concept of religion. Oh how the fates were twisted!
Behind the fan did she chant, utilizing magical lore from ages long ago. As she spoke these words, they materialized specifically as she put them in a phantasmal form. Coated in the contrasting red in the scenery, Alcadeius declared using her magical power,
"Whenever I speak the truth, it shall be within the red."
Those words continued to spiral around the sorceress for a moment before fading away into the area. A sense of acknowledgement was present now, as she closed her eyes to continue on with her declaration. This time, mixed with a bit of casual speech.
"From times before, man has called upon the might of the hallowed walls of god to shield them from those who would tear them asunder under their persecution. Before me stands yet another one who will test the might of the church's walls and their conviction."
Spreading her arms to the side, she dismissed the words she crafted and declared in red,
"Felix Maximillian and Emblem declares sanctuary within the halls of the church!"
As if the walls heard her plea, the red declaration spiraled outward and into the stone architecture in the house of god. It glowed for a moment, and then was coated in a magical aura. A hymn could be heard now within the halls, with a source unknown at the moment. Not like Alcadeius cared, since the strategy to take down this creature was already in motion. In this sanctuary, the grave of the Archipelago's strongest fiend would be dug.
The confident caster turned to look at Felix, once again hiding her face except the eyes coyly, "The game begins de aru~"
--------------------
Gates of Deus: An ability all forms are capable of using. Originally a technique for Alcadeius to use, this is a dual method technique. By performing an action of sorts, a gate with light drawn patterns spawns in front of Emblem. Emblem, after traversing the gateway, is capable of switching into one of her different forms. The doorway of energy dissipates after the user crosses it and goes into cooldown.
Emblem also utilizes this to traverse between different worlds. The change aspect still applies. [Cooldown]: 2 posts
Red Truth: A subjective fact that is stated without any need for proof or need for investigation in order to support the claims. It is undeniable as a truth, but the subjective nature leaves the statement open to interpretation. Not only that, but the statement must be of an occurrence happening in the given situation. Alcadeius cannot conjure a statement to spawn anything out of thin air. There must be a logic to the statement, even if it is miniscule in scale. When a red truth is stated, it cannot be reversed nor countered by a conflicting statement. This will cause an error in logic and for the spell to backfire on the user, dealing heavy non-elemental damage.
Systematically, the red truth will exploit the terrain or a given aspect of her target. The words spoken will take effect immediately and usually create a miracle of some sort through altercation of properties or aspects of the given target. All red truths will appear in red to the naked eye. When an effect is placed due to the Red Truth's statement, the status effect (if any) will last 1 turn.

With the Bell Rung, and the stone alter depressed, the grand creature was called to existence. The doors that Emblem had sealed behind herself smashed just as she passed into the gate, the monsters of this castle attempting to grasp her but narrowly missing their chance. Their stomachs would go unfed, their appetite for Murder and chaos unsatisfied. But that mattered little, didn’t it? What mattered was what Felix would hear behind him from within the chapel as the bell rang. The grand call of Omega echoed, and the door opened upon itself to show the figure far in the back of the chapel, taunting him. With Emblem’s return and Wardrobe chance, then the real games and festivities could begin. The Red truth called out, an aura seemingly to reflect upon the grand structure of the chapel before disappearing. The effect took hold, though that would be determined in time. What mattered now was that the Silver and Aquamarine monster before them, as big as the Chapel itself within the castle, was raising it’s hands high to cast upon the people who dared awaken it. A dark spark flew from one of it’s upper hands as it whirled it about, casting a spell devastating to some. With no Deaths potentially junctioned to either, this could already be the end of the two in just one simple swipe if luck did not shine upon them. But they would need to act quick, for almost soon after did the grand creature call upon a great feat, a rock as big as it to form above it, coming down towards the two in flames. Perhaps not a grand damage attack, but one that would hurt should the two not act quick enough to counter the possibility of their own death. For why would they elect to fight this grand beast if they were not suicidal?

It was disheartening as he did fancy a girl that could fight quite a bit but if nothing else she did replied with her own introduction. Her name was Emblem apparently; “hometown” Traverse Town although the way she worded it was a bit questionable to say the least. It didn’t linger in his mind for too long though as she also added that she “couldn’t remember much else”, an eyebrow being arched at that comment. An amnesiac? |
he mused as they gripped each other’s right hand tightly and shook. And quite the shake it was, the freelancer rather impressed at the strength this girl boasted both in her grip and when she shook his hand. While it may have seemed obvious to others that one needed to be strong to get around this castle, it still didn’t make it any less surprising. After all it wasn’t like she boasted some incredibly muscular build or anything so how she was able to command such strength was a bit intriguing. Perhaps it had something to do with her memory loss, perhaps she was something special and she simply didn’t remember what that was? For all intents and purposes she looked human to him but there were plenty of people that had looked human to him before that were anything but human. Or she was lying, there was always that possibility as well although Felix didn’t believe so, he couldn’t really see what she would gain from doing so. Then again he hardly knew her so establishing a motive for why she would lie to him if that were the case was impossible to begin with ne? It’s useless, it’s all useless, he added mentally ending that train of thought as it was irrelevant for the time being. The more pressing matter was summoning Omega Weapon and a small smirk spread across his lips as Emblem seemed to believe the same. Indeed, they were both on the same wavelength in wanting to smash this beast to dust and since they were both here anyway why not work together? After all if the creature were as powerful as people made it out to be, then being on the same page and working together was a much more prudent course of action. If they were to begin fighting the beast and argue about who got to kill it or what have you then it was possible they’d leave openings for the monster to exploit. One second of negligence could cost them their lives so despite wanting to fight the thing alone originally the red-head was willing to compromise and fight together. Plus he didn’t have much of a choice anyway; he couldn’t pull that rope and get back here in time anyway so it was for the best. And who knows, maybe if he showed off his battle prowess he could impress the little lady a little and get her digits or something like that. During his moment of thoughts though something unexpected happened and two pillars emerged from the ground, knocking the freelancer back in surprise. He fell back on the palms of his hand just barely, catching himself from a much nastier fall although he narrowed his eyes at Emblem for a moment as he pouted. ”Jeez warn a guy next time,” he complained although his tone showed that he didn’t care all that much. As the saying goes, “Poop happens” and he wasn’t about to get his knickers in a bunch over something so small especially when he had a duty. Indeed, it seemed that Emblem was entrusting him with the safety of these two pillars that had appeared, a small smirk curving against his lips as he gave her a mock salute. ”I’ll be sure to keep a close eye on them Ms. Emblem,” he noted as she made her way out and toward the rope that needed to be pulled. Whatever the case, now that he was simply waiting on Emblem to return he began to examine the two pillars she had conjured up. Putting a hand to his chin, he went over them a few times trying to figure out what they were exactly, not having the faintest of clues. While he imagined it could be a teleportation technique of some sort, most of the techniques he saw like that used different means. More oft than not the user of such a technique went through a Corridor of Darkness so naturally his curiosity got the better of him. Was this simply another method of teleportation or was there something more to these pillars than met the eye? Scratching the back of his head, he released a sigh as he figured he’d ask the person who made them later to see if she felt inclined to let him in on the secret. He could only go so far with deductive reasoning after all before he started making wild guesses so he’d have to ask if he wished to know. And it was upon the end of that thought that he heard the bell ring loudly, another odd sound being heard behind him as well. He didn’t need to look to know who it was there and merely twisted his head back a bit, a wide grin curved against his face. ”So you’re the big bad monster I’ve heard so much about huh?” he started, cracking his knuckles, ”Well I hope you don’t disappoint, it be a shame if I went through all this trouble just to take you down without even breaking a sweat,” he taunted as he had finished his taunt another odd sound filled the room, specifically right next to him. Turning his head back around, he was expecting to see the Emblem he had met just moments ago… and saw that she had changed? No it was more than just her clothes, her entire appearance and body frame were different, far more slender and cute although in a different way. No doubt, Felix had a rather puzzled expression on his face but it would be wiped away as she began to talk, a small smile curving against his lips at that. He wasn’t sure why but it seemed she had done a 180 in personality and this was a girl he could get along with, one that flirted back was always fun. Thus as her second line of dialogue came out he couldn’t help but grin as he returned her gaze with a cocky look in his eyes. ”Hehe well I certainly wouldn’t mind doing so, conversing with a beautiful woman has always been a rather enjoyable hobby of mine,” he started, as he gave her a quick once over and let out a small snort, ”And your new outfit certainly is rather appealing, I can’t say I’ve seen much like it before although it does seem to suit you incredibly well,” he added as he she suddenly begun to gather a large amount of magical energy. He let out a small “ooo” as he watched the display of magic and listened to her declaration soon after, her words seeming to hold a rather frightening power. Indeed for as he turned about to look around the church he noticed the strange glow about the walls and everything else, rather impressed at both the display and the tactical advantage it provided them. While he wasn’t entirely sure the full extent of the power Emblem had just displayed, he had seen that type of glow on other structures. Most recently he remembered seeing it around the arena at the tournament and if it were the same thing that would mean it would protect the walls from being destroyed. Why this was relevant was because it meant that any big spells that the monster might throw couldn’t possibly also cause debris to spread about the place making evasion increasingly difficult. Not only that, but they could potentially use the environment to shield themselves from those types of attacks to a certain degree. That being noted, he couldn’t help but grin widely as he turned his gaze toward Emblem, the woman doing the same as she declared that the battle or rather “the game” was about to begin. ”Well then time for Player 1 to step up to the plate,” he started in reference to himself and begin to walk forward. But before so much as the first step was made, a spell was cast by the beast directly in front of him, an image of the Grim Reaper appearing and attempting to slash him. Leaning back far, the freelancer narrowly evaded the blow but as he leaned back also noted that another grim reaper was present… and behind Emblem. Not even having the time to speak, the red-head shifted his momentum and pushed off his feet as he tackled Emblem down to the ground. This in turn protected her from having been attack from behind but as for the freelancer… well the result was evident as blood began to drip down his left side. Gritting his teeth as his body shook, the freelancer was hardly able to keep himself propped up on the hands that were to either side of Emblem’s head as he hovered above her. It was an incredibly painful sensation unlike anything he had ever felt before, the adrenaline in his body already pumping at full blast to help him cope. Yet the blood wasn’t stopping and spilled on Emblem’s attire a bit, the freelancer grimacing at that as he shakily stood back up, pressing one hand against the dire wound. ”My apologies, I didn’t mean to get blood on your clothes,” he started, attempting to lighten up the situation both for her and himself as he struggled to stay standing, ”In any event, I’ll be sure to get you a new one right after I pay that guy back for what he did with interest,” he added, his tone confident despite the fact he had taken a damn near fatal wound. It didn’t matter though; it wasn’t like this beast was stopping either as he summoned a ridiculously huge meteor, Felix clenching his right fist tightly. Taking a deep breath before releasing it, he would sprint as fast as he could, a speed that was seemingly much faster than the norm. It was his thing anyway, in these life or death situations was when he shined and with that thought he would activate two techniques as he ran straight at Omega Weapon. The first would be his Elemental Mastery technique, a white glow surrounding his body as it seemed to permeate around the entire room, almost like an aura. The significance of this was that if the beast happened to be immune to any elemental damage, the freelancer had just negated those resistances completely. It was likely anyway that it did have some resistance, big bad monsters often did have certain resistances and it wouldn’t surprise Felix if this damn beast was resistant to everything. Thus it was best to be sure especially considering the technique he was planning to use immediately after this one. Yes, suddenly the monster known as Omega Weapon would find him encased in ice as Felix narrowly escaped certain death by the means of meteor. It would be impossible to escape for the moment until Felix caused giant pillar of earth to form beneath Omega Weapon, pushing him to the ceiling. The monster would be smashed against the ceiling hard, shattering the ice as the pillar came back down just a bit as Felix ran up it. Once he reached the top, he would jump into the air, spinning his body in the air before coming down on the beast with a double axe kick. His feet would smash against the beast’s head, crushing it with tremendous force as a giant bolt of lightning followed. Indeed, the bolt of lightning would shock the beast severely and came down with such force that the pillar below was obliterated into several pieces. The monster would the begin to fall, surely going to take heavy damage for such a high fall but Felix would not be satisfied with just that. No, he would instead control the air around them and use it to pick up the rocks and send them hurtling past Omega Weapon. While perhaps not as effective on a monster such as this, certainly rocks even of the size of softballs would have some effect when coming at such great speeds. After all, the formula for calculating power or rather momentum was mass x velocity so even if the mass wasn’t too high, with enough speed even smaller objects could hurt. It was of little consequence though for the finish is what Felix concerned himself with and as Omega Weapon collided with the ground would suddenly find itself immobilized by a powerful vacuum of wind. There was no way the red-head would let his prey escape and as his descent got him ever closer to Omega Weapon he would pull back his right fist now covered in flames. When within range he would punch down with all his might, the vacuum of wind opening and causing a massive explosion as oxygen was provided. The explosion in question would deal massive damage to Omega Weapon and would send Felix hurtling back toward the door of the chapel. Landing on his feet and sliding back for some distance, the freelancer would breathe heavily as he clutched at the wound on his side. ”I hope you’ve enjoyed the show,” he started, the statement directed at both Omega Weapon and Emblem, ”Because there’s a helluva lot more coming right up!” [/style] [STYLE=font-family: trebuchet ms; font-size: 9px; color: #606060; opacity: 0.9; text-align: right;]MADE BY AYU OF BACK TO NEVERLAND ( x)[/style]
