To the earlier question, Deshi got an unexpected answer from the strange dirty man. He was saying that he once called himself a savior, but the way he spoke of calling himself such a name made Deshi wonder how sure he was of this anymore. As the man continued to talk, Deshi became quite certain that the man was not convinced he was a savior anymore. He spoke of trying to learn his purpose in life after things turned out badly for him in the past...
The similarity between his own goals and this man's were unnerving. It was like they were a part of the same coin even if Deshi and this man had taken different paths to get to where they were. They were both still lost and confused as to what to do with themselves now that they were free of the life they had once known. The one that consist of fighting and obeying a master. Now they both wandered, Deshi as mercenary and this one as his own self. The major difference?
At least this guy had a smaller goal in mind he wanted to achieve. He wanted to save this world with the Darkness. Make it liveable again. While Deshi did not have anything like that to fight for.
This man...he had an honorable goal, but it was the method he wanted to use to achieve said goal that Deshi could not agree with. It was a method the core of his being rebelled against and in turn this made him do his best to fulfill his contract with the world.
Staying quiet for a moment, he let the words of the other continue to sink in before considering the other half of the equation the man had revealed. The path of simply ignoring purpose and forging one's own path in life.
That was a path he had not considered before, but now that it had been presented to him, it was a new path he could to ponder; however, he would not pondered that here or now. He had a job to focus on.
Bringing himself back to reality, he did his best to counter the blows swung at him only receiving more damage as he continued to work and move. As he wrapped his chain around the incoming weapon and did his best to yank it out his opponent's hand, Deshi found himself to be in for a shocker as his opponent made a clever move.
Instead of trying to hold his weapon, the man let it go. Naturally, the lack of resistance was designed to knock him off balance. It was something Deshi had anticipated and so was he was prepared to make the necessary adjustments in weight distribution. Adjustments that only worked when you still had a weapon trapped within the chain. Unfortunate for Deshi, this was not the case.
As his enemy released his weapon, the chain became loose as it cut through smoke instead! Not prepared for having absolutely nothing to help with rebalancing, the yank and injuries on the mercenary indeed caused Deshi to stumble forward. Hopping a bit to keep from crashing into the ground, Deshi caught his balance just as he heard the sounds in the air change.
He has a long range weapon now? Damn it!
Deshi thought as he took in the familiar sounds of a something long, then and metallic-like going through the air. Since Deshi's back was turned to his opponent when this happened, he relied on instincts as he quickly gathered up the links of his chains in his hands and dropped to his knees. As he did this, he wrapped he chains around his hands and arms before raising his now chained covered arms and hands to protect his head from whatever blow may come his way. It was a good thing he did this too, for it would seemed as he was stumbling forward his opponent had not only created a chain of darkness, but also had slung it at his head at an angel.
His instinct to duck and cover his head saved him from most of the damage that could've been done, but not all of it. As the shadow chain came down upon him, Deshi felt the impact of the heavy weapon as it whacked against his guard and naturally bent over with its extra length. The sharp tip was able to whack him in the back of the head, but thankfully, the quick guard had kept it from going in too far. Regardless of the save, the blow cut into his scalp creating a shallow cut that shortly began to bleed.
After the attack was over, Deshi pushed his arms upward and shrugged off the shadowy weapon before getting back to his feet and turning. He faced his opponent and looked at him within the gloom not seeming to register the pain dealt to him at all. Perhaps he would've attempted a counter attack, but as he moved to take a step forward he unexpectedly swayed before falling to one knee. He supported himself by bracing his hands on the floor while his head remained bowed slightly.
Deshi didn't show any signs of feeling the damage on him; however, it was quite clear from the way he stayed down that the leg wound, shoulder wound, and two head wounds had finally taken their toll on him. The blood loss wasn't heavy, but it was enough to make the mercenary's vision blur and his world spin a bit. As a result of this, he had collapsed and stayed down for the moment completely open to an attack....

Deshi stumbles forward thanks to the lack of an item's weight after yanking at Whatever's sword.
In reaction, to the sound of a long ranged weapon coming his way, Deshi wraps his chain around both hands and used the links like arm guards as he ducked and raised his arms to defend his head on instinct.
He blocked the incoming blow, but still took damage to the head thanks to the tip of the weapon striking him. He moves to counter, but blood loss has caused him to become a bit weak and dizzy. He collapse and is stunned for the turn.
