Cries of rage emanated along with the ringing from the bell tower as Alonzo ripped and slashed at the space around him, trying to destroy the shadows that lurked in the darkness. He would make a lunge, and after the occasional strike, they would fall back, reorganizing themselves for another assault. This would continue on and on, frustrating the furious creature more and more as he continued to crush the minor beasts under heel only to be met with more and more.
The details of this odd creature’s appearance in this world were in the back of his mind, his focus entirely on these mysterious beasts. However, Alonzo still remembered the important details that led to this bout. The Corridor dropped him on a high vantage point in this odd cityscape, as it often did, this time a roof overlooking the streets of this land. He did what was expected of himself, searching in the alleys for Heartless and empty vessels to rend apart with his blade, and he was often not disappointed, engaging in a scuffles with the beasts. He always tried to make it quick, however; he knew that his appearance and mannerisms would not lend itself well to sudden encounters, so after the battle, he’d always claw his way back to the safety of either the roofs or slink into the shadows, traveling deeper and deeper into this town, thankfully having the cloak of nightfall to assist him in this journey.
But then Alonzo made a mistake. A pack of the shadows were on the move, and he refused to let them go. He trailed them from the rooftops, watching the flock slink through the shadows, and he followed them for what felt like ages until finally, he saw them move to the center of the town, to that odd, large structure. So, he followed behind, lurking in the same shadows his prey hid until he was close enough to climb the walls of this tower, scaling the walls with ease until he snaked his way into the top through an opening.
The Savage Keyblader found a room filled with bells, a strange sight to the animal-skin clothed wanderer, who had never seen such an implementation of the ringing device back in his home world. He could assume what the purpose of these bells for; an alarm, most likely, like the horn bearers in his world, to signal incoming events. This creature heard many of those calls during his unfortunate time as a “soldier”. Remembering unnerved him, and he pushed his thoughts away from the time, focusing on his mission.
It was almost pitch dark in this room, but the creature’s eyes shined bright enough that he could see at least a foot in front of him. He crawled his way to the rafters, softly stalking across the beam than crossed between the bells. His eyes were wary, constantly darting about in search of his prey. He found himself at a disadvantage; often, he had the visual on his targets, yet here, in this encroaching darkness, he was lost, only able to rely on his limited field of vision and the general feeling of unease that permeated through his bones as he stalked across the path. The shadows were here, and he could feel it.
Yet unfortunately, feeling would not be enough. Suddenly, an armored Heartless launched through the darkness, slamming into the dark skinned warrior. However, Alonzo was able to balance himself before he feel deeper into the cathedral and started to grapple with the beast, the larger man using his height and weight advantage to lift the Soldier in the air and tossed into the darkness, slamming the beast into into a bell.
Suddenly, the gong-gong-gong of the large instrument emanated through the darkness and through the night covered city streets, awaking several confused people down in the city proper. That noise only offered more danger to the Keyblader, for it seemed to call the Heartless still hiding into the darkness to Alonzo’s position. The beast started to brawl with the oncoming horde, using both his ancient weapon and his powerful limbs to crush any Heartless that would appear, yet they would only return, hungering for more. The red-haired man was locked in a struggle, hoping that maybe, just maybe, the fates would smile upon him and finally make the Heartless he had just destroyed the last one, only to be disappointed by another monster taking the prior’s place.
The savage would not rest until his foes were defeated, and so he battled deep into the night, his conflict accompanied by the cries of the bell, reminding him that only more danger was coming. He could only hope that the end to this conflict would arrive before tidings of even greater danger.

As he walked through the streets of 'Paris,' the name one woman had told him this place was, everything was much more familiar. Well he suppose that was the best word to describe it. The word unlike many others he had been to didn't have all this high techy stuff that Felix had once described to him. There was no, oh what was it? 'Electricity?' he questioned to himself in his mind unsure if that was really the word or not. Though it didn't matter much at the moment, he didn't have to over think about the stuff since it wasn't here. This place was still much nicer than his own home that was for sure, and like every other world he has been on this world was mainly infested with humans. That was definitely a nice touch compared to what he was used to back on his own home world. 'I should make a note to come here often to rest,'' he thought to himself with a weak smile on his face.
Through out the day the young boy had just traveled the streets, watching the gypsies for the main part of this day finding them quite amazing in the way they dance. When he had come to this world he had expected it to be filled with heartless and such just as every other world he has been in. Sure he had to summon his keyblade for a one time encounter with some simple shadows but that was it. Though considering the fact that most of the time he had Dusk to lead him to where heartless were did play a big part in that. He sighed at the sad thought of his spirits still gone, however he was learning to survive on his own somewhat. Well kinda, he had been spending a few weeks with Felix surviving, though now with his new trick he learned with his keyblade he was able to travel again unlike before.
Hours had past on, and Night had lost track of time, the young boy looking as the sky began to go dark as it's sun began to set. After purchasing a sandwich to have for dinner, the young keyblader went to a roof of a random building, enough so that he would be out of sight from those on the street, as well as the any windows around him. He didn't care to get in trouble for sleeping on another's home. As he just lazy about munching on his food, he looked up as suddenly the bells had rung unexpectedly. He looked up to them a bit confused as he looked at the large building. He had been listening to them ring all day, but the way they rung now, something was off about them. "I should try and check it out.''
With that thought in mind the young keyblader summoned his Way to Salvation keyblade before throwing it up into the air as it transformed into his keyblade ride before jumping into the air and flapping his wing. Very happy it was nightfall and most people were in their homes to not see him. He quickly flew to the building to recognize the familiar yellow eyes of the heartless. "Time to (hero up) get to work," he muttered before diving into the darkness of the room of bells just to quickly stop himself as he noticed the other that the heartless were first attacking. The way he fought was like that of an animal and quite terrifying. He slashed at a few heartless of his one with the blades of his win, before looking to the silhouette of the man.
"Are you alright?'' Night called out to the other keyblader, whose fetures he couldn't take in that well as of yet.

(*stretches wings and self out* Okay enough down time. Mind if I join the fun?)
Having a gummi ship was so much better than randomly being picked up and tossed about by the dark portals that liked to randomly pop up around the world known as Traverse Town. By some miracle, Koki hadn’t walked into or fallen into one of the sneaky little holes, trying to rip people away from the place and throw them to who knew where. He had somehow managed to avoid or stop himself from falling into misfortune's hands for the few days he had been in the town playing Heartless Slayer for the townsfolk. He didn’t do the job for fame as one might assume out of someone his age. No, he did the job because it needed to be done, the townsfolk needed back-up, and he liked the town. Paid or not, he patrolled the streets and took out the golden eyed shadow wherever they cropped up. When he wasn’t doing that, he either sleeping to recover from the day’s battle wounds or chilling around town as he tried to figure out what to do about leaving the town. A simple thought made complicated when the vehicle maker in town, Cid, was MIA and one had to not be tempted by the dark portals that popped up every five minutes.
For days, he had moved through town at his own pace wondering if he’d ever find a solution to his problem when fate decided to side with him for once and give him not only the solution to his thorn like problem, but also gave him a partner for the time being. The latter came in the form of a blonde woman in a suite named Elena. While Koki was still not sure what the Turks were exactly, he didn’t really care at the moment. The woman was a bit of a talker, but at least she wasn’t useless and she was easy enough to tolerate to boot. Sure, she could get under his skin at times, but that did not matter in the long run. What did matter was that she could fight and in the end proved to be easy to work with.
He and she had met back in Traverse Town, took out a rather large problem there—literally— found Cid, made a deal to not kill each other and instead work as a team to find both friends and information, and had gotten a ride built up for them for free! Whoo! A lot to say in one go, but that just goes to show you how much work the small victories had gotten done.
Free at last, the pair had left on the gummi ship heading to whatever world they could to continue their own missions. While they both had disagreed on where to go first, they did agree that they needed to go to a place that was full of people. So after what felt like an hour of debating, they had settled on a world that came up as La Cité des Cloches on the electronic map the gummi had installed. Of all the random worlds they had argued over, this one seemed to have the most potential as far as information went. The other was Spira, but seeing as the first was closer they had decided to go there first.
Putting the ship in stealth mode, they had landed in a quite part of town and were able to get out of the ship without much trouble. After a bit of discussing, they decided to split up to cover more ground taking communicators with them just in case they needed to get in touch with each other for any reason and then had headed separate ways. Koki moved along the ally not worried about Elena double crossing him or not. He had taken a chance with her and if she wanted to steal the gummi ship then that was fine by him. He was pretty sure with patience he’d find a way off this new world too and in time run into the woman again; however, the idea of Elena pulling such a trick was slim indeed. She seemed pretty genuine in wanting to work with him, so he’d give her the benefit of doubt and simply trust her not to do a 360 on him and abandon him.
Pushing that issue out of his mind, he focused on the path ahead that was becoming wider and nosier by the minute. People were also appearing more and more. It started with the poor, who eyed him and his wings with high caution that suggested they were either superstitious about something or he was just plain weird to them. He couldn’t tell and he didn’t bother to focus on what the stares meant. As long as he was not getting in trouble for simply existing and walking about, he could care less what was going on in everyone else’s head. It left less stress on his plate when he let the trivial matters of life slid off him.
In any case, he kept walking until the ally way opened up into the a wider area, jammed pack with people, sounds, smells and more. While the crowds weren’t a problem, the way of life here definitely was new to the Reaper. Despite being a lively and booming city, the people here were straight out of the medieval arc of history. The odd clothing of the rich, the flashy and showy colors of gypsies, and the more plain clothing of common folk. On top of this, there were merchants yelling and waving people over or trying to shoo stray dogs away from their goods. It was overwhelming and the smells around some areas were strong enough to knock out someone if one were to sniff too much of the scent in.
Yeah, the place was odd and far away from technology let alone light bulbs and yet, this Reaper felt right at home in the place despite the differences all around. With ease, he slipped into the crowds of such diverse people that they did not seem to care he had wings or that he was pretty much out of place in this world. They talked to him, gave him information, free food samples, and more just for being nice. It would’ve been easy to get suck up into all the festivities and business of the place without a focused mind. Thankfully, this was actually one of Koki’s strong points. He knew exactly what he had come here to do, but the way he gathered information and searched for clues as to where his partner might be was in a social way that came natural to those used to crowds and who loved to be around people. While some would say he was slacking off due to the laid back way he went about doing this, Koki was still working if a bit slowly.
He spent the whole day chatting with people and having a good time in the place, pausing every now and then to listen to the bells that sounded off the hours that went by. When night time fell, the crowds increased and the partying got heavier if that was possible. Through with the noise for the moment, Koki wandered away from the crowds and took to less traveled streets exploring until he finally came to a rest at the base of the largest and most defining landmark within the city Notre Dame de Paris, the beautiful giant cathedral that could be seen from almost any spot in the large city. While Koki was not one to follow multiple gods and what not as some cultures did, he remembered believing and still believing that there was a higher being that controlled life. Thus the life and death circle. Now, how he or the other Reapers were seen in the cycle was a different matter. On one hand, they could be considered demons since their job was pretty much ensuring Players didn’t get a second chance at life if they failed in the Games, but on the other, they could be considered angels and their actions merciful to the souls stuck in limbo. It really depended on who was looking at the subject, but to Koki, he was just him and he just so happened to have a job that dealt with passing or erasing souls stuck in Shibuya. No reason to start slapping complicated concepts on a not so ordinary job, right?
Still, people would be people and judge as they saw fit. Lucky for him, as he stood before the grand structurem no one came charging out to chase this “demon” or “abomination of nature” away. No, whoever lived in the place or kept it up, left the Reaper to be in awe at the powerful presence the structure had as if it was guarding and watching the people of the place. A symbol of hope and light. A nice image that brought a smile to the Reaper’s face as he moved around the building admiring the time and dedication put into the details of such a grand place.
He moved around the side where no one was before looking towards the top of the building. He wondered how much of view he could get if he got up there. He bet it was beautiful up there, but the problem was flight. While he was getting use to using his wings in this strange reality that made doing such a feat tiresome and painful at times, he wondered if he could actually get high enough to get the view he wanted. He took a few paces back away from the building looking for a landing that wouldn’t strain him too much. It took a while, but he eventually found one that was still a good ways up, but looked manageable. If he was misjudging the distance, well he could always turn back before he got too tired. The last thing he wanted was to fall from a high height and break something. He didn’t want to find out what the hospitals were like here and he most certainly didn’t want to explain his strange appearance or his wings to a people that would kill him for truly being some sort of demon or creature of witchcraft instead of just a person in a costume as he had said. Yeah, he had been told that by some of the more superstitious folks eying his wings. They pretty much said, if his wings were real they were going to get him. So yeah getting injured from a fall would not be wise, especially after he worked so hard to pass the wings and dress ware off as costume pieces. He hated telling a lie, but to survive he’d swallow the bit of dishonesty for now. As long as he wasn’t caught he was safe, right?
So then back to getting up on that ledge. After double checking his surroundings for peeping eyes, Koki refocused on his task as he flapped his wings and then pushed off from the ground easily taking to the air before going upward. He was able to make it to the landing he had in mind with little trouble. It still exhausted him and he was sure his wings would be stiff in the morning, but at least the amount of time he could stay in the air and the distance he could go was improving, so he couldn’t complain. Besides, the view up here was worth the work.
This place was a masterpiece. On street level, it seemed like a chaotic mess full of noise and fun, but up here away from all that, there was no words that could describe the drastic change from chaotic to calm and whole. All that could be said was that this place brought peace to one needing to think or just a place to hide. Here in the shadows of the great structure, there was safety from the world. It made one relax almost instantly and want to stay in the safety and peace forever.
As Koki leaned against the wall, eating a lollipop, looking over the city, he wondered if Uzuki would think the same of the place if she were her. A shame not to have someone to share this view with. Maybe Elena could be found and brought her, but he doubted that. He hadn't heard much from her since the last check in report, so alone with the beauty it was. The thoughts made him miss his real partner even more; however, he didn’t get to linger in that slightly depressing thought for long because as soon as he began wondering where to look for Uzuki next, the bells above began to ring loudly.
And this was no ordinary loud either. The bells that told the hour were deafening from his position and had nearly caused the Reaper to fall when they startled him. The sound was not expected for at least 30 more minutes. What the hell was going on up there to cause the timely bells not to be timely?
With ears still....well ringing, the Reaper looked up towards the top of the tower where the bells were housed. As he did he saw a shadow fall down and land on the landing with him. As the bells continued to clang above, Koki focused on the shadow that was picking itself up his mind slowly recognizing the form as a the Solider Heartless from Traverse Town.
Seriously? They are here too?[/i] the Reaper thought before having to use a force round to obliterate the creature that had decided now was a good time to attack. Tch! He thought he had gotten rid of the pests when he had left Traverse Town. Did that mean the Heartless would be everywhere he went? Now, that was not a pleasing thought and one not good for thinking on at the moment. If there was one Heartless there were more and from the sounds above it was a lot more.
Digging in his pocket, he found some earplugs there. He sometimes kept a pair on him so he could sleep soundly since he was a pretty light sleeper. Sometimes, he put them in his pocket and sometimes he didn’t, but for once he was really glad he had stashed the plugs in his pocket and they had come along for the ride when he was snatched from home by the wall. Thanking whatever spirit watched over him for this good fortune, he placed the earplugs in his ears muffling the sounds of the bells that could still be heard, but at least not in such a way that he’d have to worry about going deaf. Knowing that the sound would only get louder, he held the lollipop with his teeth as he flew upward, bracing himself for anything.
When he got up to where the main battle was taking place, he saw what he thought was some sort of creature fighting a mass of Heartless wielding what appeared to be a stick or something in the shadows. Up here with him was a kid wielding what appeared to be a strange key like sword. Wait a minute. Key swords? Hmmm, okay...right. Moving along. The pair seemed to be making short work of the Heartless that would’ve blended in if it hadn’t been for their glowing yellow eyes, but the creatures kept pouring in. Deciding to help with the pest problem, Koki took to the air keeping the swinging bells in mind as he took careful aim to ensure his blasts of energy would not hit the other two fighting and flying in such a way that the large bells would not knock him senseless. Whether it was because the three of them were doing a good job at keeping everything at bay or maybe the Heartless finally decided to take a break, the Heartless backed off for the time being giving everyone a breather and thankfully giving the bells time to quiet down. When the bells could not be heard anymore, Koki took out the earplugs just in time to hear the kid ask a question not directed at him, so for the moment he didn’t bother answering as he landed on a beam and tried to get a better look at the one that was attacking more viciously.
The shadows were hiding him, her, it, whatever well, so it was hard to say if this thing was trouble or not…even if it was fighting the Heartless. Even a Noise would attack another Noise if it felt threatened. It was animal instinct and dangerous. Speaking of dangerous, what about the kid with the strange weapon? Was he going to be a problem too?
Sure, he had express concerned about the other's condition, but he wondered if this was an act too. Hmph. Well now, he’d have to play this one by ear then. Taking the neutral position in this maybe soon to be conversation, he watched the pair that were on either side of him carefully as Reapers do Players, but instead of gathering info to take back to the boss, he was gathering info for himself and if push came to shove he did not need permission to defend himself should this whole ordeal turn ugly.

Rip. Tear. Rend.
Thoughts of violence ran through Alonzo’s head as he did everything in his power to sate them, releasing his anger in full on these beasts. Keyblade strokes were often not satisfying enough, and so he often found himself gripping his ancient blade in his teeth as he used his hands for more personal work. Sure, his sword would always deliver the final stroke, but leaving his claws free gave him more options to deliver more pain to these demons.
Silently, Alonzo appreciated the struggle. For one thing, at least, he hoped, he drew these creatures away from those who are innocent and undeserving of the pain the Keyblader knew from experience the Heartless would deliver. He would willingly battle hundreds of these beasts if it would protect one soul from suffering like he did. However, there was a bit of primal satisfaction in destroying these monsters, the thrill of the fight as his nails tore into their ephemeral form, one he hasn’t felt since his time as a warrior. It was not a feeling he was proud of at all, and he tried to move past such base instincts, but at the very least, as long as he was merely harming these monsters rather than those who actually had dreams and aspirations, he supposed he could tolerate it for now.
Yet something pulled him out of his violent trance; the sounds of something solid striking the Heartless and landing true, the familiar fading noise that accompanied the death of ach monsters clear to Alonzo’s heightened senses. However, such a noise did not come from his hand, but by another’s, and at that point, the Keyblader knew something else, something different from the demons, was here. That was not the only assault, however, for he could hear the sounds of projectiles landing on the form of more Heartless, ripping through them with ease. The origin of that blast was not the same as the physical strike, though, Alonzo could tell. There were two some things in the room with the Keyblader, and he had wondered if perhaps these were actual humans, rather than Heartless. The fact that they attacked the monsters and had not made action against Alonzo, who made little effort to hide his rage as he fought with these beasts, seemed to indicate as much.
Even as Alonzo bisected the last Heartless surrounding him, he could hear the beasts still lurking in the shadows, the soft pad of paws on the wooden scaffolding of this place clear as day to him. All he had was a temporary reprieve.
A voice broke through the darkness, and for the briefest of moments that it was merely a trick of a delusional mind, but after peering into the darkness intently, he could make out the faintest outline in the darkness from what he presumed was the origin of the tiny voice. It was a small shape accompanied by a something he couldn’t make out attached to his back. Alonzo assumed the shape belonged to that of a boy, considering his stature and tone. The Savage Keyblader looked to the side of the small shape, and there, he assumed that was where the projectile came from, along with its owner, and he swore he could see something taller than the other shape standing. Or levitating. Could have been either to Alonzo, considering how dark this room was.
The red-haired man broke the silence in the bell tower, a low, silent growl emanating from his form as he removed the Keyblade from his maw, his eyes flitting between the two shapes he could scarcely make out in the darkness. There was a bit of concern in his heart as he minded the two, considering how to respond. Rarely had Alonzo ever truly interacted with those who were sentient and intelligent, but the few times he had, they often ended in screams as the unfortunates who met the Savage Keyblader ran in fear, believing that he was a monster of some sort. He would prefer not to have that happen again, but he wanted to know who was out there. After all, they seemed to know how to handle Heartless, unlike the natives Al generally met. So, the darkness, as usual, would have to protect him before he made a final judgment call to reveal himself.
“...Fine... hurt, but fine... more will come...” Alonzo replied to the voice feeling he should've at least honored the question asked by him. He waited a moment before asking his own question, directed at both shapes in the darkness, his speech patterns stilted and tinged with distrust, yet a sense of wonderment present as well.
“Different from rest... who... who are you... both? More than one?” (Thanks for joining guys!)

Despite his feeling he was getting better in battle, and that it was pretty much his job to help take out heartless and protect the world from their darkness, it still didn't feel good to battle them knowing what they were and his own fear that he wouldn't be strong enough to take them own. Not on his own the way he has been forced to do as of late. He looked back to the dark figure when he asked if he was alright, the young boy just waiting for an answer for now until finally.
“...Fine... hurt, but fine... more will come...”
'M-more?' Night couldn't help repeat in slight fear. Having to deal with more of them sounded terrifying, especially in this darkness where he could barely seen. Never before has he wished he had Dusk with him so bad before, because at least THEN he could see, then he could sense the heartless from wherever it was they were coming from. He hated this so much right now. However despite the faultier in his voice he made sure that his body didn't show the same nervousness as the other asked a question.
“Different from rest... who... who are you... both? More than one?”
When he asked this a questionable look came on his face due to the way he spoke. When he first spoke Night thought he was just tried, or out of breath, though now as the faceless man spoke more he was beginning to think the case was different. Though the more surprising thing with what he said was that there were two of them. Light blue eyes looked around to look for the other until he finally spotted him, the young teen blinking a few times. Wait when did that guy get there? Has he been there the whole time? He couldn't help but release a grunt at yet another presence he wasn't able to detect because he no longer had his spirits. Though no matter he suppose.
"Yeah there's more than one it seems, I am Night nice to meet you," he said with a slight bow to show some respect. When there seemed to be no danger around for now Night allowed his keyblade ride to transform back to its blade form in his hand, keeping the blade drawn just in case there were more heartless to come. "And you are?" he asked the other since hopefully the other guest would introduced himself as well.

(Nonsense Night. Your post are just fine. ^^)
Silence fell on the area after the boy that was somewhere in the darkness off to the side of Koki had asked his question to the other. In the brief moment of quiet Koki tried to find the other in the dark that he wasn’t sure was human or not. He had heard quite a lot of aggression from where the third party was fighting so it made the Reaper wonder what exactly it was. Unfortunately, no amount of searching would be able to show him what he sought. It only gave him an outline of something that was at least human like in shape with maybe something in its mouth….or maybe that was the mouth. Whatever. The point was the Reaper couldn’t see what he was dealing with and that was not good in his book. There was nothing worse than having to rely on hearing within darkness. Do you know just how badly the mind could play tricks on you when the situation was like that? No? Well then, let’s make the answer to the question clear. It played a lot of tricks on you, making the situation uncomfortable and tense.
Like now for example. While no one had attacked the other, the air remained tense between trio present for more than one reason. For the Reaper it was mainly because he had two capable fighters he did not know to either side of him that were both relatively quick on their feet and close range fighters from the sounds of things. On top of this, the Heartless were somewhere lurking about and having to figure out where darkness was within darkness was asking way too much work out of the Reaper, who much rather be out of the confined area where he could see. To make matters worse, what Koki heard next only served to set him on edge even more.
There was a low growl followed by a strange speech pattern that easily matched up with any form of monster one could imagine. What made this little revelation even more unnerving was that said sound was coming from the third party. Okay….so maybe this thing wasn’t human after all. That was all fine and dandy, if he could see the thing! Being in the dark with the knowledge that some sort of monster or creature was in the same room with ya was not helpful. It was enough to send shivers down Koki’s spine which was actually a lot easier to do then some would think. Sure, he had been dead for a while now and he could hold up pretty well under pressure; however, there were some fears and imaginings that just didn’t where off…even if you were dead. You just kind of pushed them away because the only true monsters among the dead were the Noise. Having fear reintroduced to him just reminded him just how truly alive he was now. Wonderful. Just wonderful you know, but there the thoughts go getting off track again. What was happening here again? Oh yeah, the creature speaking and what not.
So anyway, the creature said it was okay. Hurt, but fine. Right. Guess that could be translated into minor injuries since any other interpretation would’ve made the words very confusing. Still he couldn't assume they were minor, since they could not see. The injuries could've been worse and the thing just had a high tolerance to pain. Anyway, he wouldn't find the answer to that question as long as they were in the dark. Okay, what else? The creature said the Heartless would return. Well, no duh there. The little creatures were persistent so of course like the pain in the behind they were they would come back looking to annoy again. Another reason they should be out of the dark.
In response to the creature’s words, the kid responded in a voice that was filled with fear. What was this? A newbie to the fighting world? Nah! Couldn’t be. The kid had held up against the Heartless, so was he afraid of the Heartless, then? Heh. It made the Reaper wonder how’d he hold up against Noise then, if shadows already bother him. An ideal test, but no, no. He’d be nice. He didn’t want to play with people he did not know or that was living for that matter. Unlike the dead, the living had rules to be followed so as tempting as a game was, he simply could not do that off his home turf. Bummer, but that’s life for you at times.
In any case, there was another brief silence and then a question asked from the creature. Ah, now this was an interesting little set of words that told a lot. First off, the creature didn’t trust them. Koki could hear that in its voice. A good thing and a bad. On one side, the distrust meant that he was cautious and probably had a higher chance of attacking and not giving out information, but on the other, Koki now knew he wasn’t alone in the don’t trust everyone department making the ground even once more and in a way helped the Reaper relax even more since he could easily play this sort of game. On top of this, the creature could at least sense him in the dark. Maybe a bit of animal instinct going there or something else? Well, whatever it was it was a useful bit of knowledge. Perceptive, cautious, logical enough to not attack on sight provided you weren’t a creature or Heartless….okay. Getting a better read here on the creature now what of the kid? Nervous or easily scared was a given—the thoughts paused as the boy spoke and confirmed more or less that the Reaper was really there to the creature—open and maybe too willing to give information. Another Elena here or perhaps just a child’s trust? Hard to say.
Anyway, the kid gave his name. Night, huh? Peculiar, but whatever. Everyone had odd names at least this one was easy to pronounce and remember. So that’s was a plus. Anyway, the Reaper was quiet for a second before, he shifted the lollipop in his mouth before pulling it out and speaking.
“Yeah. Yeah. I’m here,” he said in his laid back fashion confirming the uncertainty of his presence for the pair.
“And I have to agree. Those little shadows will be back. So why don’t we leave this darkness and so they can’t ambush us, hmm? Besides you said you were hurt, right?” he aimed the question in the direction of the creature. “Maybe in the light, we can see the wounds better and determine how best to help you there, no?” the Reaper paused for a moment after saying the words giving the folk present a bit of time to consider these suggestions. While he was no medic, he could wrap a wound or two if they weren’t too bad and the person or thing allowed him to do so. Besides, he wanted to get out of the darkness anyway and he didn’t particularly want anyone hurting or what not if it could be helped, so the suggestions were beneficial to all and perhaps seeing each other would disperse this aggravating tension. At least it would help the Reaper throw a better judgement call. Anyway, he had been asked a question hadn’t he? Better be nice and answer like the kid had, right?
“My name is Koki by the way. Pleased to meet you both and so on,” he said keeping his tones friendly and light. There was another moment of silence filled with what sound like something shifting in the dark and what he thought was light, but it was too quick to be sure. He thought it might’ve been the kid since that’s the direction where the sound had come from and nothing attacked. Anyway, the kid broke the silence with a very valid question, so the Reaper remained quiet until the third party answered. Only fair fo the creature to give a name too, right?

Alonzo’s muscles relaxed slightly as the two strange men spoke. They were likely not Heartless or White Husks, at least, he hoped they weren’t, and were more than likely just humans. The words they released did not seem to harbor ill intent, for if they wanted to harm him, they would of done so long ago, using the cover of darkness to deliver a masterfully executed stroke. No, they seemed to harbor a reasonable modicum of apprehension, instead, as all sensible people would in a situation like this would. After all, several unknowns in a dark room filled with Heartless did not lend itself to a comforting experience. Didn’t mean he trusted them, though; all humanity had to do to see the worst possible creature out there was look in a mirror, and the Savage’s current form proved the depths man would sink to while enthralled by fear. However, they had helped him, and he felt like he owed them in that regard. Not only that, the Heartless would likely not pass up on a bounty of three hearts, so for now, the three of them were in this together.
The child among them had taken the initiative of replying to Alonzo, answering his first comment with a fearful “M-more?”, in regard to facing more Heartless. The child was unnerved by these beasts? Then why was he willing to fight? Alonzo supposed there was a sort of bravery there, in helping others despite your cowardice, yet that could easily turn just as foolhardy in but a moment’s notice if you lacked a killing edge.
The Keybearer disregarded those thoughts when the boy asked his second question, asking who he was. Alonzo hesitated to answer. He couldn’t even remember the last time he had answered that question to, well, anybody. The memories of his past life were so muddled that sometimes the facts slipped from his fingers, and all he remembered was his time as a beast, destroying anything that cross him. The fact that he still wasn’t sure if he should trust these men only compounded his fear and hesitation.
Yet then the second figure chimed, casting away any doubt that they were alone when he verbally confirmed his presence. He had a smooth voice, calm and relaxed, even in these dark times. Alonzo wondered if this was a front or if perhaps this was simply his nature, but the situation was so dire he didn’t care enough to continue considering his personality. This man confirmed the boy’s fears that the Heartless would return, yet the second comment he made was what pierced the keyblader’s hesitance. His red eyes looked down at his side, and even in the darkness, he could see a rather ugly gash. The Soldier had cut into him harder than he expected, he realized, and lightly touched his wound, immediately hissing in pain just from the touch. He’d have to Devour something later to patch this wound fully, but they offered to help him, so he figured that he may as well agree to their request to go to the Light. And hey, if they did prove untrustworthy, he could easily escape without the confines of this bell tower.
Silence fell over the room once more, before finally, the red-haired man spoke once more.
“N-... Night... K-... Ki-... Koki...” The voice uttered, sounding the names out, seeing how they rolled off his tongue. It was certainly odd to have a conversation again, rather than uttering one word or line before he had to flee. He found it a rather... nostalgic experience. After another moment of hesitation, he spoke once more.
“Name... Alonzo. Heart-less will find us, but they wait now. May be safe for time if together. Top of tow-er. Under light. Follow. Be secret. Do not want those below to see,” the keyblader spoke, his thoughts disjointed and jumbled, making it completely obvious he did not have any sort of mastery over his language. However, he did not allow that to slow him down as he gripped his weapon in his maw and hunched down on his hands and feet, and immediately made a quick and agile leap over the rafters, jumping to an opening to the night sky. He movements were silent, almost cat-like, the only sign the other two would be able to see of him being the blurred shape in the darkness and finally his silhouette in the window out of the bell chamber before it disappeared.
The savage finally stopped climbing when he reached the top of this structure, clawing his way over a ledge to a flat surface overlooking this peaceful city. In the light, his features were revealed in full; his bizarre clothing dark skin, his amber hair, his black eyes punctuated by red dots. It was a grotesque look, one that he hoped the others would not be frightened off by. He looked down at his body, and saw that while the gash on his side was the most pressing issue, there were several other minor wounds. He chided himself; he hadn’t given himself proper time to rest, rather just wasting his time running amok. Now, the pain had accumulated. He lightly touched the ugly scars running across his chest and neck. At the very least, they hadn't opened. Perhaps, one day, they would finally heal.
Alonzo stood as he anticipated the others, hoping they would indeed be able to help his wounds. A slight bit of hope had started to grow in his heart, that maybe he found others who might somehow be able to overlook his appearance. Sure, they hadn't seen him yet, but if they could fight the Heartless, then perhaps they were brave enough to at least attempt to communicate with the savage, and finally, he might be able to continue speaking once more.
Only time would tell, he supposed. He stared up at the big, fat moon in the sky, the light shimmering down as he waited.

Just listening as he confirmed about the whole heartless coming out. Last thing this keyblader wanted was to fight more of them. It was all just..... troublesome really. Though he kept up his attention as he just listened to the voices around him, hearing as the first one suggested getting to the top so that they could get out of this darkness. Sounded easy enough, if he could actually see. He heard a few thumps of what probably was climbing as he watched a shadowy figure jump out into the light with swift movement.
"Uhhh right...." he muttered not to sure about following the man at first however he was fighting the heartless so that should be reason enough not to think the guy was all bad right? Unsure if he'd be able to climb up like the other had so once again he activated his keyblade ride to allow him flight once more. Which would be a good thing considering how high they were so yeah, flight was a good thing.
Without waiting for the other guy the young keyblader kicked the ground and took to the air being careful as he floated outside. He didn't allow himself a second to look at the scenery of the world since as the other said, they didn't want to be caught. He could sight see once he landed. His wing shifted as it lifted him to the top of the structure. He looked to the man who had arrived first, and floating down to land several feet from him. He took this chance to take a look at him and get a full idea of just who he was dealing with. Blue eyes widening in surprise at first when he took in the man's (was it even a man?) features. The large stitches that covered the man's body was defiantly what took out most to him as he looked at him from toe to head. Well it was until he saw the black in his eyes and it was in that moment his eyes couldn't be any wider in terror.
The black eyes were all to familiar to the young keyblader, in his home world they were a symbol of those with the synchro gift. They were the masters of his world, they controlled everything, and were also part of those who kept humans like him as slaves. Was this man one of them? No, how could have any of them left that world? It wasn't right for him to be here, this couldn't be happening. Dark memories of the synchros flooded his mind, he could never forget the black eyes of those who had beaten, or whipped him when he did something wrong. His mouth tried to open in an attempt to form words but no sound would come out. Night was stuck in this terrified state of just staring at whoever this 'Alonzo' guy was. His body stiff, feeling like he was unable to escape.

There was silence after each had spoken, but at least the air seemed to relax a bit more, making the Reaper think that maybe the silence was a sign of some sort of agreement being made between the three of them. If this was true then perhaps they were one step closer to getting out of the darkness and into the moonlight. In any case, the silence was broken as the creature spoke again repeating their names in such a way that suggested maybe he wasn’t used to this whole conversation thing. Odd to a social butterfly perhaps, but for Koki this was just another trait to be added to what he couldn’t see of the creature. Maybe being a creature had caused this disconnect with people? Or maybe it was something else. Who knew?
In any case, the creature tried out the names more or less and then fell silent again before speaking once more. This time he gave his name. Alonzo, huh? Well, another simple name to remember and no more having to worry about calling folks “hey you”. In any case, the creature spoke, saying the Heartless would indeed return, but for the moment they were waiting, but he seemed to think if they stuck together they would be safe and he agreed to go out into the light…as long as they were secret about it? Okay. The townsfolk had already seen Koki for the most part and while he couldn’t speak for the kid, the people here were pretty nice if a bit superstitious. Maybe this creature or guy was hiding because of the way he looked then? Well, he’d just have to find out in time.
After the words were spoken, Koki heard some movement and looked in the direction of the sound. He could see something moving with grace despite its size and wonder what exactly the man creature was. If he could jump like that then, it would be interesting to see what the light would reveal to him. After a moment, he heard more moving and then saw a smaller form of the kid moving upward towards the other. They didn’t bother waiting for him and he suppose he could’ve just walked away; however, he much too curious to back out now that he had two very interesting folk to deal with. So after another second, the Reaper stretched his wings, flapped a few times to get off the ground, and then headed up. As he moved upward, he stuck close to the bells to keep himself from ramming into the large beauties. It was a slow process, but he was finally able to make it up to the light. Instead of landing or coming completely out of the opening as the other two did. Koki floated where he was half in and half out of the opening as he looked at the scene around him.
The night scene was beautiful still, but Koki didn’t focus on that as he hovered there noticing how the kid had stopped moving and was frozen to the spot as if he was terrified of something. Peeking around the kid, the Reaper’s eyes landed on the third party. His eyebrows furrowed and his eyes narrowed slightly as he took in what he saw.
What is that?[/color] He thought taking in the stitched up body, reddish hair, strange eyes, and animal clothing. This guy was almost like Frankenstein’s monster except, he wasn’t made up all that undead stuff. Whatever this guy once was in life was hard to tell with the way he was now. It was horrifying, but….Koki actually felt a bit bad for the guy.
Look, he didn’t choose to look that and even if he did that was his choice. Whatever the case, the guy didn't seem to like the situation and was pretty conscious of how other reacted to him. Why bring them up here and be secret if he was not regretting the choice or against it. Anyway, one shouldn’t judge by looks, but unfortunately everyone did. This guy may have been a monster on the surface, but inside he probably was not so bad. Once you got over the initial shock of seeing what he was, he wasn’t that hard to look at. It just took the right state mind. He glanced at the kid again...yeah...not that state of mind.
With his observation done, Koki's features realaxed as he flew out of the hole and landed on solid ground. he walked to the kid’s side and rested a hand on his shoulder.
“It’ll be alright,” he told him with a reassuring smile and then looked over Alonzo and his wounds as he shifted the lollipop in his mouth. For the most part the wounds were minor, but there was a particularly nasty one in his side. Hmmm…Koki dug in his pockets to see what else he might have placed in them while he was back home.
He was by no means a healing type, but he was smart enough to carry bandages and needle and thread….although the latter wasn’t for stitching. He never tried that before. As he pulled the items out of his right pocket and looked back at the wound on Alonzo, he wondered if he had enough bandages to keep the wound from killing him….or if he really would have to try his hand at stitching. Not a pleasant thought.
He looked over at Alonzo with a slight smile.
“Well, now this is much better. I can see you and your wounds,” he said and then showed the items he had found in his pocket. “I have a few bandages here for emergency cases and needle and thread, but I’ll tell you now I’m not a medic; however, I can at least wrap up some of that wound so you won’t be bleeding to death. What do you say?”
Koki’s voice and features remained relax and non-threatening despite being faced with the sight of Alonzo. Despite not being to afraid of him, he wasn't about to approach him without permission. After all... they were not friends yet.

The fear that Alonzo would be left alone was lifted when a figure reached the roof. He turned toward him, holding the wound at his side to see who were these mysterious men. For perhaps the briefest of moments, the corners of the savage’s mouth might have ever so slightly turned up. Realizing this, he quickly returned to his usual grimace. If he had learned anything, it was that happiness and peace were often brief, and that you could spare yourself the disappointment that would come from reality returning if you mentally prepared yourself for the worst. The Heartless were still ever present and, more pressingly, he didn’t know what to think of this pair, or what they would think of him.
First appeared Night, the child, as Alonzo expected from the small silhouette in the bell tower. He was a tiny, frail thing to the savage, perhaps because the keybearer was taller and broader than most or perhaps simply because the boy was small for his age. The red-haired man couldn’t be sure; he lacked the frame of reference he used to have as a man in regards to people after all his alterations and mutations. He couldn’t even remember how he used to look like before the mages got to him, much less how he was as a child. Another thing lost to the bastards in Dark Woods, he supposed.
When Night finally arrived to the roof, two immediate things sprung to the beast’s mind. First off, he noticed the strange sort of wing attached to the boy that him flight, something that seemed clearly artificial and forged from some material the simple man from the Dark Woods would be unfamiliar with. On the inside, he was absolutely fascinated; what such sorcery could spawn such an invention as a singular wing that could give men the ability to reach the skies? The worlds outside of his own were truly enlightened. Admittedly, that wasn’t saying much, considering what a hole his homeland was, yet the dark-skinned brawler tried to push those thoughts aside. They had no place here.
No, what did matter was the second thing Alonzo noticed when Night arrived and saw him; his expression. There was a look of absolute fear and revulsion, one that the keybearer was incredibly familiar with. He had seen that face on the men who ran from the demons in the Dark Woods, along with those he himself had chased while enthralled by the Sable Kingdom and later brutalized. It sickened the Keybearer, and but perhaps because he wasn’t able or willing to realize the truth, he assumed that something was behind him, waiting to attack. Immediately, he got on the defensive, summoning the Path of the Forest, gripping the ancient key’s handle in his powerful maw. He turned sharply to his back, swinging the blade at the foe, only to strike thin air. Slowly, he turned back, locking his black eyes on the child’s gaze. Slowly, he allowed the realization to dawn on him.
The boy was terrified of him.
Again, a growl emanated from the Keybearer that continued as he spat out the blade to his feet, his frustration clear. He hunched down on all fours, his taller frame instantly cut in half, seeming shorter than even the boy. Alonzo’s eyes were both angry and incredibly disappointed; they were just like the rest, it seemed, fearful of him and his appearance. And who could blame them, he thought. He wasn’t a man anymore, just a damned beast. Who could accept him in this state?
Eventually, the growl disappeared, and the forest dweller looked at Night’s eyes, and the sadness in him, despite his attempts to hide it, were clear.
“Have pro-blem? Speak. All prey of Heart-less now. All e-qual in Heart-less eyes,” he muttered, the frustration still obviously present, along with a slight edge of sarcasm.
Eventually, the other man appeared; a figure with a shock of orange hair, descending with the wings of a demon. He was certainly not from around here, much like Night, yet that didn’t matter, not right now. He saw Alonzo, and while he didn’t react as negatively as the boy, the Keybearer could tell he was still unnerved. Or perhaps that was merely the anger talking, he didn’t know, and right, he was so frustrated he didn’t really care.
The dark-skinned man was considering whether or not to snap at Koki, but when he got the bandages and Alonzo felt the pain of the wound at his side, he relented. They were in this together, whether they liked it or not, and had to survive. Besides, if he did attack, he’d just prove the boy right.
Silently, the Savage regarded Koki, and eventually relented. He picked up his keyblade in his left arm and sent the weapon to the aether until he needed it again, which he was sure would be soon. He then rose himself slightly to be close to the level of the black-winged man and moved his vest back, revealing the damage done by the Heartless.
“If still want help thing like Alonzo,” the man muttered, the anger still present, “Be quick. Heart-less learn, move out, find. Have to fi-gure out what do next, or all die.”

Of course it could, he shouldn't be thinking like that. Though his mind was still in dark places as he looked at the dark eyes. He took a step back in fear when suddenly it summoned his keyblade and attacked behind him as if expecting something. Though what was it expecting? Could it be that it was expecting something behind him? He cringed a bit when it growled at him and spoke about his having a problem. What was he suppose to say? That he reminded him of the people of his home world? It felt like an odd thing to ask.
That was when he felt a hand on his shoulder and suddenly which made him flinch quite violently as he moved away from the one that touched him. He looked up at his reassuring smile telling him that things were fine. Were they though? The black eye guy was there talking of more heartless that may come how was this suppose to be 'fine'?
He looked back to the man as the one who introduced himself as Koki went closer to him and offered help. Blue eyes taking in the site of both his wounds and the keyblade he picked up. Eyes narrowing in slight pain as Alonzo called himself a 'thing' knowing well the pain in those words, and what it was like to be called such a name. Though if that was the case then there was no way this man could be one of the Synchros from his world. So maybe he could try and fight this fear of the memories that have been brought up so he can treat this MAN, not thing, like he should be treated and not an object to be feared. It might take a bit but he knew he would get over it...... eventually.
"I-I'm sorry about that.... Night tried to apologize, "I didn't mean to be so scared of you," he continued not really giving any reason as to WHY he was, just wanted to be sorry for it. "I-I'm sorry about that.... and you're not a thing, you're a keyblader" the young boy tried his best to give a smile, though it was weak and it showed that he still had some fear, but he was ATTEMPTING to get past it at least. No one could say that he wasn't trying. "like me," he added, though he didn't turn his keyblade back to normal since he might need the wing if more heartless came. "Sorry, though I have no way on helping out your wounds or even an idea as to what we can do." he commented before looking to the guy with a demon wing to see if he had some kind of plan.

Tension came into the area again as the creature man thing….hmm…maybe it would better to use his name. Yeah, so like Alonzo took note of the kid with the wing’s...ummm....Night’s fear and reacted to it as if the kid was looking at something behind him. Alonzo turned to attack the invisible attacker with the strange weapon he carried in his mouth; however, since there was nothing there the guy ended up hitting air. Eventually, the guy turned back to them face them spitting out the keyblade with a growl before hunching over and resting on all fours like an animal instead of a man. The guy was ticked, probably at the reaction given to him for like let’s say the umpteenth time in his life from the kid and probably from the realization that the emotions were directed at him and not at some new foe in the area. Fear and hate….so it followed him too. Outside of looks, he wasn’t so far off from a Reaper in that regards. People reacted the same way to Koki back home, but the only thing different was that this Reaper enjoyed that look on folks face, especially when he was not going to anything to them anyhow. It made playing with the Players so much fun, but Alonzo despised the look for some reason or another. Perhaps people hunted him down or something. It was hard to say.
In any case, the man asked the kid if he had a problem and if so he should just say it. Koki took note of the sarcasm in the man's voice that only stressed the guy’s agitation and in turn just how on edge he was. This could be bad, but Koki kept his cool regardless. As he pulled himself out of the hole and landed on solid ground, he passed the kid and tried to disperse the tension and fear in the kid with calmness. The reaction to the slight touch and smile? Jumpiness and more fear. Geez mon. You’d think by the way the kid jumped that he was going to eat him or something. Granted, they were all strangers and the kid was already afraid, so the reaction wasn’t completely unexpected. He was just glad the kid hadn’t attacked him in the process. In any case, the kid didn’t seem to think it would be okay as his fear continued to maintain control of him, so Koki moved between the two to effectively becoming a shield for the kid should this go wrong. He had already taken notice of the nasty glare he was given by the mistrusting man, making him wonder if he’d have to take back his offer of help and actually fight the man. He really hated to do that, especially if things could be smooth over with some work.
Thankfully, the creature seemed to at least be sensible enough not to attack and even dismissed his weapon and gave Koki permission to approach, telling him to be quick about whatever he planned to do as he showed him the nasty wound he had gotten. Hmmm….looks like he would have to end up attempting to stitch some of it up. There was no way the bandages could save him alone. Fun. Fun.
Nodding at the creature’s words, he headed forward as the kid began to apologize to the creature for his reaction. He could tell by the tones of his of voice that the kid was hiding something, but for whatever reason and instead apologize once more and telling the guy he was a keybearer like himself before he admitted he could not do anything to help with the wounds. He gave the kid his props for hanging in there and trying to work through his fear. Perhaps things would be okay after all between the the trio.
“That’s okay. I more or less got this one covered this time,” he said calmly to the boy's last comment before coming to a stop before Alonzo.
“You ready for this?” he asked before giving a few simple warnings of the pain that the stitching and bandaging might causes the man. After the warnings had been given, he got to work being as gentle as he could when attempting to close up most of the wound. The process went by eventless enough and he did succeed in stopping the wound from bleeding although all of his supplies were used up in the stitching and wrapping up of the wound. Oh well. At least the materials had been used to save someone, so he didn’t complain.
After he was done, he nodded at his work. Not bad for someone with little medical skills.
“Well, at least now you won’t bleed to death and I have to agree with the kid. You aren’t a thing. You’re just you,” he said with a slight gentle smile and then moved away from Alonzo to a respectful distance positioning himself so that he could see both Alonzo and the kid and they could see each other. No blind spots for anyone.
“As much of a hurry we are in, before we go planning anything fill me in on one tiny detail would you kindly. What exactly is a keybearer?”
It was a point blank question and probably one that could get him a lot of trouble, however, it was something he wanted to know and kind of needed to know if they wanted to plan together. And if they had questions for him they could ask, but how straight forward he’d be would depend on the question. Sure, he was willing to share some information with them, but the rest of his cards would be for him to see alone. He wondered just how well he and these two could work together. As it was now they were off to an okay start.

The scowl on Alonzo’s face was only deepening as this conversation went on. The Heartless were slowly regrouping, he could feel it, and they would likely be drawn to their presence, even more so thanks to the savage’s key. The night’s blessing that hid Alonzo from the unknowing people would only last so long, though, and soon, the sun would rise once more, and, hopefully, the Heartless would settle into more reasonable numbers. However, that was a piddling concern to him, as much as he loathed to acknowledge the fact. These people... they feared him, that much was obvious. Now, how much so was up for debate, yet paranoia indicated to the woodsman that it was quite a lot.
He loathed this feeling of shame and disgust for his very existence, and the pair- well, let’s be fair, the boy, since the orange haired man seemed to try to put up a brave face and simply treat Alonzo as another man, which he appreciated- were doing nothing to abate it. Everything about him was wrong, he knew this- his ugly, beast-like body, his claws, his red-tinted skin and scarlet hair, and his eyes, his wretched eyes, that would forever ensure he could never join the kingdom of man and would have to live in the squalor of beasts for the rest of his days. He was an outcast, he knew this, and even to this day, he couldn’t understand why the Mage and the Key picked him. His lot in life was as a savage.
But he could not surrender. He had hope that perhaps one day, if he learned enough, he could finally have the life he lost restored. Alonzo doubted it, but what else did he have? He had nothing to his name now but the clothes on his back and the Path of the Forest, and any meager hope he could keep his claws attached to, he would not surrender. Yet even those thoughts were abated, albeit only slightly, as the boy, the Night, spoke his apologies. He was still fearful, this was obvious, but at the very least, he either realized the error in reacting in such a way to a stranger, or realized it was not a good idea to be on the bad side of a man who looked like Alonzo. Perhaps both. Regardless, the savage was calmed slightly by the Night’s words, yet then, just as suddenly, taken aback his his last words.
“‘...K...k...key-blader... like me’?” The Bianite repeated, the poetry of Night’s simple phrase lost by Alonzo’s condition. However, the meaning still held true, and for perhaps the briefest of moments, Al felt something akin to... what was it...? He wasn’t sure of the name, but it had something to do with a connection... kinship? Yes... yes, that’s it. Such an alien concept to the savage, one he had no familiarity with now, after his alterations. This was the first time in a year he had any similarity with anyone, and it was certainly shocking.
So shocking, in fact, that he didn’t even resist when Koki came to him with the needle and stitches. Normally, he would have stepped back, maybe even snapped, at the sign of needles, since they brought back memories of the other scars on his bodies. He was so distracted though that he allowed it. Of course, he almost immediately wished he he hadn’t. The needle stabbing through his flesh brought back memories of the cruel scientists, poking and prodding and altering his body. Phantom pains started to come back to the forefront of Alonzo’s mind, and he considered smacking the pin away. But he didn’t. He realized that there was no point in struggling, seeing how this Koki was just trying to help him. So, he fought through the pain, trying to keep a stiff upper lip. A momentary look of grief crossed his brow, and Alonzo did his best to immediately hide this weakness.
“...thank...you...” Alonzo muttered to Koki behind gritted teeth as the pain settled. He massaged his stitched up neck, trying to rid himself of the lingering pain that suddenly awoke in his form. Again though, he would have to push those thoughts away as Koki spoke once more, saying that Alonzo wasn’t a thing, just himself.
Alonzo was not a thing. Alonzo was just Alonzo. Those words had never been uttered to him before, and for brief moment moment, the savage felt something... nostalgic. For once, a smile crossed his harsh, stern face, and it was right there, right in front of the pair. He quickly changed back when he realized that now was no time for fleeting joy. His face quickly changed again back to his usual scowl when Koki asked his question; what are Keybearers? While usually, Alonzo would of brushed the question off, he felt he owed Koki enough to give him his own explanation.
“K-key... bear-ers,” Alonzo managed to choke out, but slowly started to pick up speed from his sputtering start as he explain to the orange-haired man. “They who carr-y Key-blade. Like Alonzo... and Night,” and he punctuated this by holding up his keyblade and gesturing it at the boy’s wing, which he assumed was the the weapon in an altered state. He spoke the word Night with a slight edge, as he was not yet completely convinced of the black-haired boy’s words, yet at the very least, he wasn’t angry. For now.
“Key-blade pow-er-ful. Free Heart-less, free Husks, free man. Keep man safe from the not pure in all Heart, even when man e-vil and wrong. Save the peo-ple’s dead and dy-ing worlds from demons. Last-ly... give hope, to all... ‘for... a... bet-ter... future... for.. a... bet-ter... peo-ple’...” he finished, ending his explanation with the last words his master told him before he sent him on his journey. He looked back at Night. “That... what Mage of the Key told Alonzo. Gave him Key to sur-vi-val. Saved Alonzo, e-ven though Alonzo monster. Told him to learn. So Alonzo does... course, Night may have... own reasons...” the savage finished, passing the buck to Night.
Slowly though, a darkness started to spread into the roof, several black wisps that whipped two and fro across the surface where the trio spoke. Alonzo’s eyed the darkness, and put his Keyblade’s handle in his mouth and hunched down on all fours, looking that much more feral.
“Speak quick, ask your last. They return soon,” he muttered through clenched teeth, preparing himself for an eventual battle. (Sorry for the delay! And feel free to control the Heartless, they’re just NPCs.)

“‘...K...k...key-blader... like me’?”
The young keyblader nodded to this, "I'd show you, though if there really is a heartless problem it would be best for me to keep it like this," he commented as he pointed to his wing. Part of him wondered if this other keyblader also knew how to transform his blade to allow himself flight. Though he himself would have never figured it out if it weren't for his spirits but maybe this guy had more knowledge of the keyblade than him? Who knew, though he could always ask later.
For now he just turned his body around as Koki began to patch Alonzo up with some bandages. Blue eyes scanning around as he was on look out for any heartless while Koki helped Alonzo. All just so he could try and not think about Alonzo's looks about looking like the masters of his world. The thought of it all made his old whip wounds burn. He did not like to think of his old world, but when he came across monsters, or people like Alonzo it couldn't be help. What seemed to bring him back to reality was when Koki asked what a keyblader was, and at that Night seemed confused. He honestly had no idea how to answer that question. He barely understood it himself.
That was when Alonzo spoke and Night looked very confused by his explanation. Freeing the heartless he knew because the keyblades released the hearts that they captured, but what were husk? And What did he mean by 'free man' that didn't make any sense to the young keyblader. And giving hope to people? If that was true Night didn't think he did a good job in that department. He locked eyes with Alonzo as he seemed to pass the torch to him to continue explaining and the boy just shrugged, unsure what to say.
"Well I personally don't know what he means but 'free man' or 'free husk.' Truthfully I don't know much about this thing at all other than that we are suppose to uphold balance in the worlds. Mainly by destroying the heartless to save the worlds from dieing, as Alonzo had put it , outside that I can't give you much information. The keyblade just came to me one day it wasn't given to me so no instructions came with it like it seemed to with him" he explained briefly as he pointed to the other. Hopefully though that would be a good enough explanation for him.
That was when a chill went down his spin as he noticed a soldier heartless coming up behind Alonzo to try and attack. "Look out!" he tried to give warning to him before the attack could connect. He looked around and began to notice other heartless beginning to pop up shadows taking up a majority of the group. With a wave of his hand all three wing blades took a swing as Night used his Twilight Edge |

(Alrighty. As discussed in the c-box I am exchanging Koki for Marluxia so the thread can still go on even after Koki has been dropped. This the transition from one to the other.)
Koki had watched the creature called Alonzo’s frown deepen as the group continued to speak whether this was because of him and the kid or something else entirely was hard to say. The good thing was that whatever was making the guy frown, he didn’t act out on the thoughts so no conflict broke out. When Koki began to approach him to make his attempt to stitch him up, he wasn’t sure if the guy was going to give him trouble or not. Sure, he was given permission to approach, but as much tension as the guy let off, the Reaper wouldn’t be surprised if the guy resisted his aid in the end. Thankfully, the kid mentioned the guy being a keyblader like himself throwing the creature off enough to cause him to forget about the Reaper more or less and be still as he went to work on the wound. As he worked, he stayed quiet listening to what was being said as he picked up on what was important to know. After all, he knew nothing of this keyblade, so what was he to say?
In any case, the Reaper continued his work taking note of how the creature tensed up when he first started. In turn, Koki tensed slightly preparing himself to get out of the way should a blow come towards him. He glanced up and caught just the briefest form of distress on the creature’s face and realized that this simply little act might be pushing him into memory lane and not the good one either. Anyway, the Reaper focused back on his job going at a steady pace to get the job done quickly, but carefully. Thankfully, the creature didn’t strike out and took the pain…pretty well he supposed. It was really hard to say once he was done and got a thank you through gritted teeth. Regardless, Koki remained calm and kind to Alonzo and even got the guy to smile. See. He wasn’t so bad, but like many good things in life, the smile didn’t last long before the creature was back to his usual frowny face. Oh well. At least now the Reaper knew that the guy could indeed smile. That was a start.
Anyway, the Reaper moved to a respectable distance away from the creature and the boy before asking his question and then listening to what they had to say. The whole time this was going on, the trio did not realize that someone was listening to them from the shadows below. A figure that remained out of sight and perched on the highest of the rafters listening as the words drifted down from above. This figure dressed in all black had been wandering around the strange town for a while now gathering information on the new place when he had spotted a man with wings that did not belong. Trailing behind the outsider, the cloaked figure had been led to the bell tower of the great cathedral, had heard the battle and idle talk and had seen the winged man and two others escape to the light above. If the trio had been ordinary, the Nobody would’ve simply left; however, he had seen the way they took out the swarm of Heartless and saw that each had their own powers. While the winged man was of no concern, the child and the creature were another matter. Something about them made the Nobody curious and now as he sat there listening he found his answer why. Keybearers and not just one, but two in one spot? Now how did that happen? Was there something special about this world that drew many bearers here and would there be more to come? Would they pose a problem for him in the future?
Questions, questions, questions. He guess he’d find out. See how strong these wielders were and if they would be like that brat Sora, but first what was being said, hmm? He tilted his head listening some more. The creature.....what had he said his name was? Alonzo? Well, Alonzo was trying to explain what a keybearer was to the winged guy called Koki who had asked the question. He listened to the explanation thinking he’d not learn anything except what he already knew, but he was wrong. As the creature explained, he learned that keyblades had the ability to free Heartless, husk or rather Nobodies, and men too. It kept man safe from the Darkness, even if the person was already sunk into Darkness. It protected the worlds and gave hope to all for a better future and people. Okay, he never heard that one before. Sure, he knew a little about the keyblade thanks to working with keybearers in the past, but the meaning behind them had never been explained…but then again, he had never wanted to know that meaning until he was slain by one. It made him wonder how true the words were or would they alter depending on which type of keyblader was asked the question of meaning. Interesting.
Anyway, he disregarded the rest of the words the creature said not caring if he had been given the keyblade to survive or was told to learn. What the Nobody wanted now was what made the keyblade powerful. Maybe he’d get his answer from the next who spoke the kid called Night.
He spoke to the creature first answering a question before falling silent for a moment as the lengthy explanation came from the creature. Then getting the subject passed over to him, the child spoke and the Nobody automatically felt disappointment. The kid was clueless. He didn’t know what a Nobody was, but that was no surprise. Unlike the Heartless, Nobodies weren’t just any and everywhere. They lingered in Twilight Town or were found in the World That Never Was, but outside of that Nobodies only appeared when one of the Organization members were within the area. Always there, but like their name suggested remained hidden as if they were nothing. Thanks to this existence the Nobodies had with the world, not too many had run into them, so no problem there. As long as he remained hidden, he wouldn’t have to worry about explaining himself either.
In any case, the talk of “freeing man’ was as confusing to the boy as it was to him. What did that mean? How was shattering a person into a Heartless and Nobody freeing anything? Or was the creature referring to something else? Hmm? He’d have to find a way to poke into that too, but that was for later. He focused once more on the boy’s words and sighed inwardly.
Now that was an explanation he had heard before. Keybladers and the Heartless despised each other and so always clashed. Keybladers could slay the pesky shadows and free the Hearts they had in them…to free them or leave them for someone else to gather together. The Nobody frowned slightly, remembering how Xemnas had used Roxas and Xion to do this very thing. Back then, he had been too power hunger to question Xemnas’s way, but now that he had space to think, the Nobody began to wonder: how did Xemnas know about the keyblade or what it could do? What was that Nobody really? The Nobody pushed that set of thoughts away quickly. No need to get distracted right now when he had a good source of information right above him. He could find the answers to his questions later. Right now he needed to focus. The rest of what the boy said was not that important. What he was able to pull was that some received the keyblade from another while some did not. So what made one different from the other? Was one stronger or weaker than the next? What were the differences and similarities between the two and could he, a man without a Heart get said weapon himself? Questions, questions, questions.
The Nobody would’ve pondered the strange thing known as a keyblade even more if he hadn’t been rudely interrupted by the arrival of the Heartless. They came out of the darkness to attack not necessarily him, but the ones with Hearts above, but simply because he was in the area, the Heartless had decided to bother him too.
“Tch,” he said as he used his ability to levitate to move himself out of the hole and into the open area where the trio had been gathered. As the first warning came from the kid and the man with wings moved into action, Marluxia landed quietly behind Night as his eyes briefly darted about to survey the scene. The child was using his wings to attack the gathering crowd of Heartless with Light and Dark attacks. A strange mix of powers, but whatever. The creature had his keyblade in his mouth and was prepared for battle, while the winged guy had taken to the air and looked like he was about to use some form of attack, but never got it out as a swarm of Shadows over powered him and pulled him into the darkness (Koki is gone in other words folks).
Hmph. Well, he hoped the winged person could find his own way out of the Darkness for he had no time or the desire to fish him out again. No he had something much more useful to him right now, but first he had to deal with the pests. His cold eyes locked on the Heartless as they began pouring out of the hole he had escaped from forcing him into battle. Without hesitation, Dahila was in his hand and lashing out at the Shadows and Soldiers Heartless coming forward. With ease, the Shadows were sliced into two, but one or two Soldiers attempted to leap over him and get at the boy’s back; however, with careful aim, the Nobody had turned and spun his weapon in such a fashion that the two Solider were caught on the tip of his blade, being impaled before being slammed into ground and getting destroyed by heavy blow. Staying in motion, he moved back slightly to give himself some swinging room to take care of the creatures.
To the two keybladers fighting, they would find that instead of Koki they’d have a mysterious cloaked figured with a scythe as an ally…for now.
