Time: After Raid # 25This was it, the moment of truth! He would end the wicked clown’s evil ambition and surely look like a true hero! One blow was all he needed to send this creepy bozo flying as if he was a fighter in Super Smash Bros….man how long must he wait for his invitation?! Anyways, with his mighty and totally not ripped off Luster Sword, Gilgamesh swung the mighty blade horizontally, but time was up unfortunately for the gallant warrior. Right before the blade could connect to the skin of the wicked clown, right before he could slash him to pieces, the clown was gone, teleporting away from his mighty blade.
This was an outrage! It was a frustrating move that totally was not fair. Geez after all that hard work, after crashing into that family’s house like that desired compensation! But nah…a hero shouldn’t sue a family for having their house there out of all places….maybe he should just sue for laundry, he hated his cape getting dirty, despite the legends of his Genji Armory getting bathed in blood…it sounds gross…but epic nonetheless!
With his blade slashing the empty air, the effects of gravity took effect and Gilgamesh began to descend, giving him a moment to show off his graceful landing skills as he began to summersault downwards. The plan was to summersault downwards and land gracefully on his feet before his companion, but like most of Gilgamesh’s grand entrances, the mighty swordsman managed to find his head suddenly lodged into the ground with his body sticking upright. How his head managed to get stuck when his head was tucked in during the summersault? Well it a mystery, but not as big a mystery as him finding Excalipoor all over the place.
His voice was grumbled due to the interior of the ground, however after having his hands press against the ground, Gilgamesh used his strength and pushed himself out of the ground with a mighty push, allowing him to jump into the air, spin mid-air better than any ballerina, and land on his feet as he placed his hands on his waist and stood before Rinoa.
“Nice work dear apprentice! With your assistance we were able to drive the wicked clown away from these innocent bystanders! I must admit you were truly impressive!” Gilgamesh said truly meaning his words. From her appearance she seemed frail and weak; however it was obvious that she was not one for melee. He could not however say he knew much about her abilities and boy he was given a surprise! He saw that his apprentice could fight! Better than when the two fought off those hideous spiders hiding in the barrels! Why they were hiding in the barrels? Probably some shame reasoning. “Truly you handled that match with grace and held a composure truly of that of a hero’s!” Gilgamesh said, thinking back to how totally in synch their battle cry was!

| ❤ I don't want the future. I want the present to stand still. I just want to stay here with you ❤ |
The streets were silent when the raucous battle had finally come to an end. Just as quickly as it started, everything seemed to sink back into a calmness, shaded by the unease of surrounding citizens. The ground beneath their feet lay scorched from the devastating spells of fire that nearly burned the asphalt to it's return state of tar. People's heads could be seen peering out of doorways and from behind convenient walls of cover provided by the piles of goods meant to be distributed to the various shops of the District.
The bright afternoon lunch had been disturbed by the combat and people wanted an explanation. Arming themselves with torn lengths of plank or shard glass those brave enough slowly approached the pair. They had only seen the caped catastrophe tumble through the roof of a bakery and his minion have a fire match with a mad pierrot. It did not help that the armored titan had been intimidating but the caped swordsman had handled that massive blade without second thoughts.
Angelo let out a bark to alert the distracted sorceress of the tension. Rinoa had come to focus on her fingers. With the Para-Magic machine she hadn't need to tap into her powers, but the tingling sensation left behind. The best way Rinoa could describe it was a trigger finger! It was like wanting to reach for a slice of cake after you've had nothing but vegetables all day! She noticed Gilgamesh bounding about like a goof. It was moments like this she felt him akin to Tell; silly, but earnest in all he did! It was a nice thought for her to hold onto.
"Uhh..sensei?" Rinoa looked down to Angelo, only to realize they were suddenly surrounded by upset citizens looking for an explanation or at least someone to blame for the damages.
And there had been quite a bit of damaged amassed in such a short amount of time. Throwing up her hands the witch would make chopping motions through the air, as if she had more than zero skill with the martial arts. Her calling was magic and running away, and she was hardly any good at those! The folk shouted at the pair, demanding an explanation, but there was none! Who was to know if those guys were considered delinquent heroes! She highly doubted this, but Rinoa was not used to being directly painted as the villain (even if she was Galbadian and it was the natural, indirect, perpetuating stature of such a militaristic state).
"Hey! We're the heroes!" At least the sorceress liked to portray herself as such.
Maybe it was simply always a quiet dream of hers. Galbadians were looked at sorely by those under their rules. Where many were raised with the pride of their military families or the peace of mind that nothing could defeat their powerful army, Rinoa herself lacked both the pride and solace of either things. Having faced her mother's death early in life she quickly learned that no matter how powerful one thought they were, death was not something a human could avoid. Watching her strong father break upon her mother's death showed her both how utterly powerless the military was and how human her father was; Fury could not stand above others when he was their equal.
She wanted to become a person others could depend on. It was why she was attracted toward people like Squall, Zell, Selphie and all the rest. They had not only confidence in their abilities, but an unwavering spirit that knew just how human and weak they were. Humans had to fight and make up for the weaknesses deep in their hearts. The scars would not heal, but they would toughen up and make it harder the time next. ❤ tags: @gilgamesh~! ❤ powers used: n/a ❤ notes: I think we're in the wrong neighborhood... Ah the taste of victory was always the sweetest. True the mad clown had abandoned their fight and true it made their victory more of a bittersweet once, but a victory was still a victory and they were making great strides in their progress to greatness. Gilgamesh wasn’t always the most virtuous of men and he did manage to get in to numerous forms of trouble, some he quite enjoyed talking about while some he was not so happy to speak about. His struggles in the rift and the separation from his home were only something that could have been considered a punishment for his actions.
Regardless of all these thoughts of bad times, Gilgamesh was one who would toss aside those thoughts and think happy thoughts that just kept moving him forward. Hands still resting upon his waists, Gilgamesh closed his eyes and raised his head up high as he laughed a hearty laugh. Playing the hero was quite the pleasant feeling and he enjoyed it quite a deal. The two of them were able to save the land as well as the people residing in this land as well. There were no casualty nor were there any blood spilt on the scotched ground. They were able to of acted quick and effectively, not allow the dastardly dastard get away. Yes, truly he and his apprentice would be showered with thanks.
And so the sound of footsteps was heard and his expectations were beginning to be fulfilled. Soon enough the murmurs of a crowd were beginning to be heard and Gilgamesh heard Rinoa call out to him a bit worried. Was she a bit shy when dealing with a lot of people? Daw his poor apprentice! He would have to help her out with it! He continued to laugh happily as he opened one eye to peek “bwahahahah...hahah…ha….uh oh” Gilgamesh said as his laughter died down and he stared out the angry crowd before him.
“Well…this is not good…” Gilgamesh muttered as he listened to Rinoa speak out about them being the hero, which was completely true! They were all pissed off, but Gilgamesh had encountered such situations numerous of times. Like a grand and noble hero, he took a step forward. “Yes, I can see that your angry…however I have one thing to say to you…” Gilgamesh said leaping back. With his right arm he suddenly wrap his arm around Rinoa’s waist and with his left he scooped up Angelo. With the two in his arms, Gilgamesh suddenly rocketed straight up into the air using the ability of Jump. “SO LONG SUCKERS!” Gilgamesh said laughing happily as he raised two fingers up to his forehead and gave the crowd a mock salute as the trio flew up into the air.
“That’ll give em the slip!” Gilgamesh said as they continued to rise, however all things must come down and Jump was a move that lacked the proper escape routes. And so, only able to move a bit forward, Gilgamesh paused in the air “…oh darn…” Gilgamesh said as he suddenly began to plummet downwards, releasing Rinoa and Angelo as he began to flail about and fall. Landing on his back, a small crater formed and laying in it was the caped swordsman. The angry crowd slowly crept up and began to peek into the crater, looking in bewilderment, but suddenly backed away as the girl and dog accompanying the swordsman descended and landed on the swordsman, as if he was some sort of cushion.
Cringing, Gilgamesh opened one eye and stared up at the crowd peeking back in the crater once more. The sheer moment they made eye contact, the looks of bewilderment turned to anger once again. “Well then…looks like I have no choice” Gilgamesh said seriously as he narrowed his eyes. “I didn’t wish it would have come to this…” Gilgamesh said with an aura on seriousness forming. Immediately slithering his way from underneath Rinoa and Angelo, Gilgamesh leap up to his feet and turned away from the crowd. He stood there for a bit, the aura growing stronger as the crowd looked on nervously, questioning whether to fight the man, but suddenly Gilgamesh begun to act! “RUN RINOA! RUN AWAAAAAAAAAY!” Gilgamesh cried out as he began to run, doing what he was best at

Rinoa was not a fan of large noisy crowds. That usually meant you did something wrong. Being one who believed in fighting for others, and she was looked upon like some monster-- it honestly hurt. Rebels we not looked upon fondly. Guards saw them as nuisances while those unwilling to struggle for their freedom turned to them with scorn. For all she knew, this world likely looked up to degenerates such as that mad clown, just like those of her world saw the destructive terror of sorceress' as something to be admire, or worse yet: worshipped. Rinoa just wanted to do what was right. She did not think it was too much to ask.
The anger the people held was not so intense that se felt the desire to flee, but it was welcoming all the same. Angelo, who was very protective of her mistress, had backed up so she stood close the the garbed warrior and Rinoa. The small dog was quite fierce and was not to be so easily deterred by their opponents, be the military ir unarmed civilians. With he fists in the air Rinoa was hesitant to use her weapon and magic was certainly out of the question. The witch was determined not to start problems. She was more than aware that if Squall caught her prancing about setting fire this way and that it was a one way try to a super boring lecture! She could not help but roll her eyes at Gilgamesh. She felt a little more than 'this was not good', but the point was now moot.
"Look, let's just expla--waah!" The sorceress exclaimed. "S-s-sensei! What are yoooou--eek!" Rinoa cried out, suddenly feeling the ground vanish from beneath her.
Out of some feminine instinct the wild Rebel Princess pushed her hands down over the front of her duster. She squeaked out at the unexpected overcoming of gravity from her super-powered teacher. It went beyond and, clearly, above anything she was expecting from his skill set. In the throes of their earlier battle he had not seen the earnest once of the Jump her sensei had rained down upon the fiends in question. Had she known she would have perhaps asserted her need to be warned before her stomach was suddenly rolled upside own by their upward climb. Angelo let out a bark that caused the Princess to blink open her chocolate eyes.
She knew what that bark meant. "Wait, we're what!?" Before anyone could truly question if Rinoa could truly believe she could speak to Angelo, the Witch felt a sharp tightening in her belly as they began to plummet.
She felt a tight grin quirk up on her features as a defined tick of annoyance bubbled against the side of her head. She slowly turned her head to Gilgamesh a her grip remained on his fabric of her duster, even if she had shorts beneath (it was the principle of the matter). She sighed in disbelief as the safe grip of her teacher left her waist. She her out her arms to pull Angelo into a hug. Worst escape attempt ever. And she should certainly know about bad escape attempts! She has either fallen into inescapable enemy traps or helped to escape thanks to her family name, even if she did not wear it as proudly as was expected of her. Half was down a Jump ability the witch had neither her name nor the devil's luck to improve her situation.
Diabolos was most definitely just sitting back and laughing. "Tsk, jerk." She held Angelo close as she complained.
The witch squeaked when she landed on the plush pudge that was Gilgamesh. She warned him about all that bread! Never-the-less she felt obligated to assert this fact verbally. "Baguettes weighing you down?" Okay, she was a little bit annoyed.
She let Angelo toddle onto her own paws before sliding of the fallen warrior. Pushing her hands back against the fabric of his cape, she would land with a crunch in the small, but impressive crater. She was glad he turned to talk to her citizens. Right! All hey needed to do was explain what happened! But such desires of diplomacy, however rare for Rinoa, were hopelessly shot dead when the sword hunter took off running like a bat out of hellfire!
Rinoa and the citizens were struck with a deep, wavering confusion. Maybe the guy was just a clumsy idiot that was caught in the crossfire? Rinoa pouted, having the distinct feeling she was reliving her days with Zone and Watts. They were always brilliant at escaping. Rinoa was a stubborn fighter who little believed in retreat, though the pay blamed that on her Galbadian blood. Even now she felt retreating was not the way to go.
"No way! Don't just ditch me sensei! Uncool" She hurried out of the mini crater and head after Gilgamesh, Angelo close behind.
It was not long until the trio had escaped the confused crowd. It was about that time that Diabolos thought it a good time to chime in. She could feel his cold, needle-like fingers along the edges of her thoughts.
"It's too bad the darkness had overrun this place..." The Guardian whispered into her ear, revealing a corruption.
She turned her head up toward stone steeps that lead up the the Bastion's Bailey. She said to a halt, hand coming to rest on the stone wall. Blinking her dark eyes something, or someone appeared to be looking back. Suddenly it dashed off in the darkness.
"Sensei look!" She tried to call out, but it was too late. "Do you think, maybe, those two goons are still here? I mean they looked to be using some kind of transportation ability..." Though even as she spoke the idea it seemed a little farfetched. ❤ tags: @gilgamesh~! ❤ powers used: n/a ❤ notes: In a world filled with Dark, the shadows are even greater. ELECTRIC OF GS AND BTN

Swift like the wind and skillful as a man with many years of experience, Gilgamesh ran and ran until at last he had accomplished his very own mission. The noise of the crowd slowly beginning to fade away as he ran and the only pattering of paws and one set of feet were heard running behind him. He was glad to of known that the girl was able to catch up! Would have been a real shame if he had to of carried her around as they ran.
With the three of them having escaped the angry cries of the angry of the townspeople and finding safety in wherever they ended up, Gilgamesh let out a big sigh as he crouched slightly and placed his hands upon his knees, panting heavily as he tried to catch his breath. All this fighting and running, though exhilarating, was tiring all the same. It was true that maybe Gilgamesh was able to talk his way out of the situation, though then again running away always seemed to be the option that he found himself taking so it may have been in his nature. Being a hero was a lot of work and ill rewarding! Gilgamesh did begin to wonder if Bartz and co managed to get caught by the very people they saved, that would have been uncool, but Gilgamesh could like…he would have chuckled at them.
As he panted, Gilgamesh was immediately alert by the sudden voice of his apprentice and immediately Gilgamesh shot up and glanced towards where his apprentice was looking towards, only to view nothing of importance. Walking up to the side of Rinoa, Gilgamesh crossed his arms and continued to look on at the direction. “Hmm…I dunno, they could be long gone, but there is still the chance they are still lurking around” Gilgamesh said glancing down over at Rinoa “We can’t just let those dastardly dastards get away now can we. Even if their long gone we can surely find something. Being a hero ain’t about fame or glory; it’s about punishing the wicked and helping the innocent! ” Gilgamesh said with a smirk. He had met many heroes and fought against them so perhaps it was time to take a lesson from them! He was the greatest swordsman after all!
Pulling out something wrapped in a foil wrapper, Gilgamesh handed what seemed to be a wrapped up baguette, still fresh and delicious as it was when Gilgamesh had swiped it from the bakery. “Here eat up! We’ve got some hunting to do!” Gilgamesh said. Rinoa was right, he was getting too fat! True he hadn’t had a decent meal in a long time and that piece of the baguette he had was the closest decent thing he had in a very long time, but he couldn’t call himself the greatest warrior if he couldn’t best hunger and surely his dear apprentices were starting to get hungry and tired by now!

Rinoa could not help but wonder if she was starting to see things again. Again… ka? The last time she dreamt while she was awake was because she was in grave danger. Diabolos was not the most subtle of Guardians. He had a lovely happen of scorning her with Nightmares did she not take the correct path, but he did release her into dreams when she was able to succeed in her endeavors. A blissful sleep that was unlike any other. There was also the matter of why she carried this feeling of familiarity with Gilgamesh.
This comfort was probably the only thing keeping her from responding so illy to the sudden swarm of events. Facing enemies alone was something Rinoa often did, but never without fear. She faced her enemies knowing that her physical prowess was but a speck in the ocean. Her magical powers were not something she confided in and struggled to keep locked away, sometimes at the cost of her own health. A sorceress’ magic was part of the sorceress condition, so depending on the woken powers was like becoming a whole person. She fought to remain shattered and broken.
Rinoa nodded at her sensei's vigor. He always seemed ready to play the part if the hero, even though she seemed aware that goofin off stood to be of higher priority. He offered her a baguette to snack on. The strain of battle was a real one! Rinoa, though oft with complaint of Gilgamesh's snacking, was too guilty of gorging on occasion. Her slender figure was not without its tribulations. What added to her more dangerous snacking habits on cakes and other sweets, was the fact that her cooking skill was below abysmal. The rebel princess wasn't even capable of the basic necessity of boiling water.
She took the snack without a fuss, for now. Looking toward the steps she had recalled that this was the spot she had first arrived in Radiant Gardens, following a promise made, in what felt like, ages ago. This place always seemed infested with those shadowy critters, but this time she was not so alone. Dusting off her hands of breadcrumbs the sorceress made headway toward the steps!
Feeling something off she paused and looks behind her. "Come on sweetie." Rinoa urged Angelo, who seemed hesitant to follow.
Angelo had stood there, staring up at the steps. The dog was Rinoa's partner and knew when she should act and shouldn't. The must did not feel their current path was safe, but at her mistress' insistence, she padded forward before pulling her small, round body up the stop steps.
Atoo the Bailey the pair would stand amongst construction equipment. The stone walls had been reinforced, heavy gates holding back what it could of Heartless an fiend scourges to assault the capital. The path lead to a partially rebuilt trail which lead through a twisting avenue of stone and steel. Angelo walked beside Rinoa in a calm, even pace as the witch skipped along in awe of it all.
"Sensei," she called out a she turned to face him, stepping along backwards. "Have you ever traveled to the world a beyond the stars? Like other places?" If he was an experienced warrior, could it be safe it assume he has? "Where is it you call home?" Or maybe he was a real life ronin!?

Rinoa took the bread all too quick and it was this that Gilgamesh loved to see! Gilgamesh crossed his arms and watched her with the piece of bread and once she was done he gave her a nod before he walked behind her, something of an odd feeling bothering him, but at the same time he was one who would usually ignore such a feeling. He was mostly called foolhardy, but that just was who Gilgamesh was. If he succumbed to fear the many times he faced it than he would have never found those legendary treasures he now held. There were so much left to discover and he could never falter if he wanted to gain it all!
Of course this feeling was near non-existent, more comparable to something less than a mosquito bite! He crossed his arms and continued to walk on, keeping a close eye on the girl and her canine companion as they walked on. There was something bothering the girl at certain times, but even so the girl was able to remain bright and happy, something that was great for an aspiring hero such as himself! She truly had potential and Gilgamesh would be lying if he said he did not enjoy the company! It was nice to have somebody he could talk to and walk alongside with. Travelling with Enkidu was something, but it was totally different than travelling with the girly he called apprentice.
He continued to walk on but raised an eyebrow upon hearing the girl suddenly speak about his travels and the place he called home. “Of course I have travelled beyond the stars! You’ve seen it for yourself! My travelled through that blackened rift! Through that land, I’ve witnessed many other lands, many different cultures and faced many powerful warriors! I traversed so far and wide following the excitement of my heart!” Gilgamesh said passionately before closing his eyes “ah…but home…that is another issue…” Gilgamesh said suddenly as the passion dropped, opening his eyes as he stared upwards at the sky. “Ah, how I long to see that world I’ve once called home, that is if I can still call it home, but alas…it’s been so long, it almost feels as if that very rift is my own home now…it aaaaaalways just sucks me back in” Gilgamesh said.
Suddenly, in a mere instant Gilgamesh stared forward at the girl once more, on his face was that of a concealed grin “but hey! Through it I’ve been able to find the legendariest of weapons! Meet the greatest of warriors! And the bestest of students ever!” Gilgamesh said happily before closing his eyes as he laughed happily.

Rinoa listened to how Gilgamesh spoke of seeing the world beyond the stars. He seemed so happy about it. He was free. She had never met anyone like that before, yet in the back of her mind she felt like she has. At night she was haunted by the memories of her past she could no longer see, and driven toward an obscure future blinded by a dense fog. No matter how far she traveled or how many worlds she saw she was disillusioned by her time in Galbadia, in Timber. She had seen naught but conflict over land and the weak pushed into the ground by the strong. She had wanted to become a bigger part of the world and maybe change it. But she was so ordinary. Outside of Archipelago she was an ordinary person. She wasn’t a hero, a sorceress or a rebel. Maybe she was selfish for wanting to be ordinary, for wanting to covet this life. Traveling with Gilgamesh had made her feel safe and gave her a sense of belonging she hadn’t traveling alone in the Darkness of her path.
A smile drew on her features as a darkness began to snake from her form. No sooner was it there, it was gone in the blink of an eye. “You’re … so brave.” She opened her mouth to add to her words, but nothing would escape. “I want to keep traveling with you until I can’t walk anymore!” She knew that it was coming, but she had to fight that feeling.
Yes! She wanted to play Hero a little longer and stand by Gilgamesh's side. Though he had no home never was there a frown on his face. He rushed forward and lived his life! She clutched her hands to her chest and stepped back. A chill rushed up her spine as Angelo backed up, her fur standing up on end. The rebel princess blinked her dark, brown eyes and looked up. Looking down to Angelo she would follow her line of sight. The dog began to growl and let out a howl when something appeared from the snaking darkness that lined the cavernous walls of the Bailey’s passage. A Wizard Heartless appeared behind Gilgamesh, its wand raised in the air in preparation to strike. The spell on its staff was already cast outward, the Gravity spell almost instantaneous. Rinoa threw out her hand, her mind reacting faster than her body could process.
“Gilgamesh!” The sorceress threw out her hand and set loose a Firaga spell before she could properly respond with a smaller spell.
The spell escaped from her own powers rather than the Para-Magic Machine which made the spell far deadlier under the command of a sorceress. The imploding sphere of fire crashed onto the Wizard with immediate devastation, sending it sprawling to the ground. But magic did little more than spur the magical Heartless into a Magic Berserk. Wizard Heartless had complete immunity to magic and it posed a threat for those such as Rinoa who had a greater dependence on magic with skills that lacked in physical combat. It floated into the air and waved its arms frantically sending out a volley of elemental spells! In an instant, all around, more Heartless made themselves known. Smaller Bookmaster Heartless joined the Wizard and began the duty of reading through their books and casting spells onto their enemies. Angelo backed up, barking at the heartless which now blocked Gilgamesh and Rinoa’s path back into the Bastion. They were now trapped on the Bailey with nowhere to go but further into the wilderness of the great Crystal Vale. ❤ tags: @gilgamesh~! ❤ powers used: Firaga ❤ notes: I an effort to hide who I am, I can't help but feel paralyzed under the weight of my own ability. Gilgamesh continued to laugh on in order to show just how truly happy he was. Sure the thought of home still managed to affect his somewhat and true he really did miss it, but in the end it was this laughter that helped him out and shows the girl that he was truly happy and did not truly mind that he was far from home. His laugh was not that loud, didn’t want to break the poor girl’s ears with his amazing and powerful voice that everybody said he had a big one of.
He continued to laugh forth but the very moment she spoke and praised him he instantly stopped laughing and stared at her surprised, caught off guard by her words. It had been a while since they were at the twilight lit town and Gilgamesh was still trying to adjust to the many praise he had received from the girl. To hear her return to the praise him again and even say something like following him until she couldn’t walk anymore was really something…but what if she had a walking problem and she found herself unable to walk at times…that would be a crappy phase for her to say to him.
Scratching the back of his head he felt a bit embarrassed, something he really disliked showing, but that stopped instantly. Something was close and Gilgamesh could feel it. He tried to figure out what it was, but it was too late as the wizard attempted to strike from behind. Gilgamesh turned and attempted to jump back and dodge, but it was too late, he was about to get hit by the spell which would really suck, however it was stopped!
Gilgamesh’s eyes immediately widened as a blast of fire immediately collided with the enemy before him. Due to the act of dodging Gilgamesh was able to escape the attack of fire, but Gilgamesh could only watch the spell cause the enemy fall to the ground. He glanced over his shoulder at his apprentice immensely impressed with his apprentice. Right when he thought he had begun to gauge her strength he was immediately proven otherwise.
Though the fire spell was immensely powerful, Gilgamesh could see that the spell was unable to harm the wizard, only making it go in a furry and even join alongside another being with a book. These beings were just like that barrel spider they had faced earlier and Gilgamesh could conclude that these beings were truly weird. A flurry of spells was sent towards the heroes and Gilgamesh needed to act fast! Leaping up high into the air above Rinoa and Angelo, Gilgamesh immediately spread out his arms and began to spin. He spun and spun faster and faster as the winds began to spiral into a hurricane. With the three in the eye of the hurricane they were safe as the winds shielded them from the onslaughts of magic.
With the end of the ability, Gilgamesh landed on the ground, a bit dizzy, but still standing strong. Opening the palm of his hand, a blade appeared that allowed the swordsman to take grasp of as he dashed forward. The sunflowered sword Tournesol appeared in his hand and immediately he jumped forward towards the wizard. “Let’s go beat up these nerds Rinoa! Feel the flow of battle and take them down!” Gilgamesh said jumping up into the air and attempting to slash the wizard, only for it to teleport away, causing the mighty Gilgamesh to fall to the ground. He attempted to ease his fall by falling into a somersault and though the somersault succeeded, he was like a ball and kept on rolling, crashing into a wall. Breaking out of his ball shaped form, Gilgamesh rose to his feet “Even if you have the disadvantage, use your friends and background as strength!” Gilgamesh said as he leaped back and pressed his feet against the wall he had crashed into “Like THIS!” Gilgamesh yelled as he pushed off the wall and dashed towards the bookmaster, slashing it from behind “HA HA! TAKE THAT YA NERDY BOOKWORM!” Gilgamesh yelled.

Gilgamesh never failed to impress her. The sorceress was still stunned by the speed in which the spell left her fingers. Though the incantation was barely above the call of a whisper, the rapid accumulation of power that settled in her fingers were cast out, leaving even the most well maintained Para-Magic Machine behind in shame. There was a sense of pride hiding beneath the shadow of fear she held for wielding such deadly magics, there was still the weight of pain that came with the unfamiliar use of her spells. Seeing the Wizard Heartless fly into a fury and slip into a Magic Berserk only did well to strike the mistress of magic with a fear. She had gone into a trance once. A state in which nothing but the formulaic calculations of spells twisted through her mind as she manipulated every vex of curse and drew from all known elements to cast an unrelenting chaos upon her enemy, obliterating their seemingly omnipotent existence from her world.
A warbling flap of fabric fluttered from the Bookmaster when he was suddenly struck from behind. The Heartless caster’s greatest weakness was the fact that it could not summon a great repertoire of spells from a memory of a natural vein of skill. The books provided it with the immediate knowledge of the incantation required to pull the spell from the leylines of magic that drew through the many worlds. After all speaking the spell was only part of it. Three still had to be a means to draw the magic from the leylines and the magical Grimoire was one such object. The book hit the ground with a weighty thump, the pages fluttering in the wind of Gilgamesh’s speed. In a flash of Darkness the Bookmaster and his Grimoire were gone. This left one more Bookmaster and the rampaging Wizard. Angelo barked and charged into the battlefield as the remaining Bookmaster began its chant. It drew, from its book, a spell of Thunder, aimed for the unarmed sorceress.
Rinoa had to unlock her Pinwheel so she could stand the challenge of battle without the use of her spells. Her range and Angelo are what she depended on in the open battlefield. She was no good with much else beyond her systematic plans of battle, some of which ended with her in the hands of the enemy. As Angelo took down the remaining Bookmaster with a Rush, Rinoa aimed her Pinwheel at the Wizard. The Wizard, just finishing its Berserk casting of Thunder, Fire, and Blizzard would spin about to face Rinoa. Its glowing, yellows eyes caught the chocolate orbs of the sorceress. Darkness surrounded the Heartless before it faded out into the Darkness. Rinoa had been entranced with its gaze: a fear of similarity gripping her body. She had not noticed the spell coming right for her. As the Fire spell went for Gilgamesh and the Blizzard spell striking the grounds near Angelo’s paws, the young sorceress let out a scream as Thunder struck and coursed through her body. She was wrecked with trembles and fell to her knees.
As she caught her breath the Wizard reappeared from the Darkness: this time behind Rinoa. It raised its staff. Angelo barked out in warning, but the dog’s eyes turned toward shadowy movement down through the narrow paths that cut between the steel of the fortifications and stone of the mountain. Someone, or something, was there. It was watching, or perhaps waiting? Whatever it was doing it was gone but a moment after. ❤ tags: @gilgamesh~! ❤ powers used: Angelo Rush ❤ notes: The hardest part about facing yourself is that you know all your own weaknesses. The blade cut clean and freely through the body of the strange nerdy midget that had dared to attack them. With the blade passing through, Gilgamesh smirked as the being was turned into a black mist that would soon fade away like all mist should. Just what were these strange little beings? Their eyes would glow an ominous yellow, but at the same time their bodies were so ridiculous and weird. They acted purely through their instincts, but they were not like the man beasts he had slain before. They shed no blood and disappeared as if they were darkness itself. Was that it? Was it that they were made of darkness?
Of course Gilgamesh was one to put such thoughts aside and focus on the now and the eradication of the enemy before him. Due to the dashing slash he did, his legs skid on the ground forward as he pressed against the ground as if pushing the breaks of a car. The momentum Gilgamesh had slowed down and came to a halt, allowing Gilgamesh to turn and glance over at the final enemy still bouncing about in its maddened state.
The dork was bouncing around like an idiot, as if the spell that Rinoa cast upon it was actually some magical drugs that made it both high and drunk. The position they were in was definitely not the most advantageous. Rinoa was far from the best at physical attacks and it seemed magic failed to do the job. Gilgamesh had hoped to provide back up for her but he was a bit far from her and the enemy seemed to have its attention on the girl. The dog companion had also been preoccupied with finishing off the other book nerd on adding on to the not so great situation.
Regardless of this fact, Gilgamesh still believes he could turn it around and end it fast. With his sword in hand he rushed forward towards the wizard, but was interrupted by a sudden burst of fire heading his way. Gilgamesh’s eyes widened as the fireball head his way, but the sheer moment he heard a scream he narrowed his eyes and dashed forward. The fire spell collided with Gilgamesh and the swordsman was burnt, but even so the fearless swordsman did not falter and continued to rush to his apprentice’s side. It was a hardy and reckless move, but Gilgamesh was always reckless and something strong told him to move to Rinoa’s side.
He did not wish for his apprentice to sustain any more damage, after all it was a teacher’s duty to protect his student and though he was a total newbie at this, he would give it all his might to do his job. He would stand by his apprentice’s side and protect her while her mind was in turmoil. He could not tell the reason for it, but Gilgamesh was not blind and he would not let anybody take advantage of her turmoil! He continued to rush forward until he saw the wizard appear behind Rinoa.
It was truly a cowardly act of the wizard! He would not let it get away with it! Timing was everything! Finally reaching Rinoa, Gilgamesh stomped his foot on the ground mightily as he swung his blade horizontally, cleaving the creature in half and reducing it to dark smoke. “That’ll teach you!” Gilgamesh said with a pant before he crouched down over to the girl and held her shoulder “Hey! You okay?” Gilgamesh said.

After the last Heartless was sliced twain, silence filled the Bailey. The haze of the Darkness left behind by the Heartless’ defeat was quickly whisked away by the strong presence of the Light in the Gardens. The Darkness had a weak hold on the world so there stood difficulty for the Heartless to spawn, let alone make presence among the remnants of twisted steel and stone that lay forgotten in the vales below.Even if the Heartless did not belong, they made their place in the Hearts of the people of the Bastion that even their everyday lives revolved around dealing with their mischief. But everyone had their place in life. But where did that leave Rinoa? Even Gilgamesh seemed to have his own place in the world. It was a place he had built up under his own power, but it was still a place. Rinoa wanted to share this feeling with them, but drifting in and out without the old Owls or even Squall’s team, she was a third wheel.
Rinoa had felt the cold chill of Gilgamesh’s movements against her back, causing her shoulders to arch and her head to bow forward. She fought back the tears that crept behind her in fear. She clasped her hand over her mouth. Angelo padded toward her, the canine sniffing at her face before pushing her nose to press to Rinoa’s cheek. With the mutt’s help she pushed to her feet and locked away the pain. But little did she realize was this tantalizing curiosity that flowed through her tempted the few Heartless out. She had a strong heart, a powerful presence, but more so hers was not quite driven toward the Light thanks to the presence of her Guardian who was a maester of the Darkness where it counted.
“It has to be their doing!” She pointed off toward the depths of the valley, toward the Crystal Maw. “I betcha it’s those crooks making all those squirmy heartless appear.” Though she did not quite know what “heartless” were, Squall had told her that was what these shadow creatures were called, so why couldn’t she call them that too?
But even when knocked down Rinoa got back up. She turned to Gilgamesh, cheeks pouted at her own, personal frustrations. Her past was trying to catch up to her and she would run away. This time, it was there for all to see! A figure standing along the path. It turned and raced away! Angelo let out a warning bark! All other troubles aside something was brewing out there in the Crystal Maw. It would easily give one the heebie jeebies! Without even a second thought Rinoa hurried down the dilapidated steps toward the path, Angelo not far behind.
At the bottom of the steps she raised her arm and waved it out. “Come on Sensei! We have justice to uphold!” She laughed out. Even with the clouds over her head she tried her best to smile!
But whatever was lurking out there was far stankier than what Justice could apply with a fresh breathe of air...

The sheer moment he managed to touch her it seemed to cause the girl to move forward, crouching forward in pain as she covered his mouth. Immediately Gilgamesh released her in the fear that he had made things worse in some way. Healing was something that Gilgamesh was definitely not skilled in. For a mighty warrior such as himself, he was one who focused on taking hits and returning the hits back at double the force. He really did not work with others and the only exception was Enkidu. Even so the beast also was like himself and usually did not need healing…albeit the beast did tend to fall before the warrior did anyways. Regardless the inhuman man hovered his hands over Rinoa still worried about her condition, sticking by her side as he observed her.
Through the help of Angelo the girl was soon back up on her feet and Gilgamesh backed away a bit to give her some room. He crossed his arms and just watched on as the girl pointed out towards the Maw. He knew that Angelo had been on guard a good frequent amount of times, but it was only now that Gilgamesh was able to heed that warning. She said something about them being called heartless. It was a weird name to say the least; however they are weird as well so it was a match Gilgamesh guessed.
Glancing down at Rinoa, he noticed her looking back at him with quite the depressing look. She obviously took the hit pretty hard and it was not in the physical sense. This girl was strange, and not in the Gilgamesh kind of strange…well maybe a little in the Gilgamesh way of strange…but still the point stood. Just who was this girl and what caused her so much grief and loneliness? Why did she seem so scared? It seemed Gilgamesh was not doing the greatest as a teacher, but this only meant that he needed to step it up!
Angelo let out a bark and Gilgamesh’s attention was directed over to the figure heading to the Maw. It was great! He would finally have somebody to beat out his frustration! Before he could act his apprentice was already down the stairs waving at him to come join her. Despite what happened that happy smile was back on her face and now she was making him look like a slowpoke! He was glad to see her happy but he couldn’t have her out do him so early in the lesson! “Well said! Let all villains fear our presence! Let justice be brought forth!” Gilgamesh cried out calling out to the being as he ran forward with his companions into the maw, for they were the heroes Radiant Garden need, but not the one it needs right now.

It was truly absurd the amount of walking one had to do to get from point A to point B. Even trekking across the Galbadian Plains was never this hard. Rinoa felt tired, for some reason. Sure after a big fight like that, a long run into getting lost and a few Heartless a hero should still be able to go forward. She had gotten some training at the Garden. She had worked hard for months, so she should be a bit more situated in these daily events. That was right. Angelo and her had arrived at the garden and were lonely. Than they were visited by Squall. Getting on the train after a meal she … Her hand came to her head. But she did not remember getting off the train. She remembers waking up in a cold, isolated place, people calling her a witch! She met a woman there, in that world. She remembers it was raining and she had taken shelter…. she went to sleep but, she doesn’t remember waking up. She had met a pair doing combat with Heartless amidst a desert. But was that before or after the giant monsters sweeping the beach?
“How did I get to Twilight Town…?” She suddenly asked.
As she walked she felt the heat rush to her head. Heat? It wasn’t hot outside. She looked up, hand reaching out to press her fingers to the stone wall, the cold steel of the pipes embedded into the walls brushing over her knuckles. Her other hand came up to her head as she felt her legs wobble. Straight down the path was that shadow that had been leading them. Angelo turned and growled as the figure stepped toward them. It was a woman about Rinoa’s height. Black hair and red skin stood out against the inverted color scheme on the figure. It looked like the witch, but more like a nightmare out from her own dreams. Rinoa’s vision became blurry as she tried to focus on the figure. Who was this? They looked familiar.
“I don’t know…” She rasped out. “Why can’t I remember…?”
The dark figured looked up to Gilgamesh. “Don’t follow me.” Whatever this shadowy figure was, whoever it was, it would raise her arm where a replica of Rinoa’s Pinwheel sat. It opened fired at Gilgamesh and would vanish immediately after the weapon was launched.
Rinoa collapsed. Her body was feverish and she was unconscious by this point, muttering deliriously. Angelo barked out at the figure and raced off toward the Crystal Maw!

Gilgamesh dashed forward with all the haste he could, adrenaline filling him as he attempted to encounter the mastermind of this encounter. At this time Gilgamesh was truly looking for the thrill of battle and he wanted it not against those mindless heartless. Perhaps he would be lucky and manage to take the mastermind’s weapon, his lack of weapons was a disappointment and earning a new weapon to use would really tickle his fancy good. Just thinking about a new weapon was always a beautiful thought. Losing access to all his weapons was a travesty, but being able to at least have some access to it was something he could live with and not make him want to commit suicide…he already tried that and it sucked.
Tournesol was held tightly in his hand, ready to be used to slash the opponents before him but he was approached with an odd question “hmmm…Twilight Town?” Gilgamesh said as he suddenly noticed Rinoa paused in her trek. Pressing his heels against the ground, Gilgamesh skid a bit forward as he soon came to a halt and turned to stare over at the girl “Whoa hey! You okay there?!” Gilgamesh said noticing the girl was definitely far from okay. He immediately began to make his way towards the girl in order to help her out, but at an instant, Gilgamesh paused as his eyes widened. His sword gripped tightly Gilgamesh instantly turned around to face the person behind him “AH-HAH! SO YOU ARE THE CULPRIT” Gilgamesh said pointing out his index finger at the girl before him.
Glancing at the black haired woman, Gilgamesh tilted his head looking a bit confused “eh? A girl?...have I met you before?” Gilgamesh said before shaking his head and prepping his sword “Doesn’t matter! For you shall face the mighty Gilgamesh!” Gilgamesh said. He heard Rinoa begin to mutter something, but his attention was focused on the girl before him “Do not follow?” Gilgamesh said raising an eyebrow before suddenly dodging the sudden projectile sent straight at him “WHAAAAAT?! HEY! HOW RUDE!” Gilgamesh yelled out before glancing out at the sudden vanished girl “H-Hey! Where’d ya go?” Gilgamesh said before cupping his chin with his free hand “Hey! Running and retreating during a battle is incredibly rude and….so this is how it feels for an opponent to ditch you….” Gilgamesh said come to learn a valuable lesson he’d probably forget in a few hours.
During his pondering, Angelo had already begun to run off after the shadowy girl leaving Gilgamesh and Rinoa behind “Hey wait! She said not to follow!” Gilgamesh called out as he repeatedly looked between Rinoa and the running Angelo. He was at a crossroad and he had to decide on two choices. Rinoa was obviously not feeling well and might of needed help which he should have begun searching for, but at the same time that shadow girl could have been the reason for Rinoa’s ailment and they might lose the chance to deal with the girl. In the end he knew that Angelo had the right idea and Gilgamesh was more than willing to follow the dog. Scooping up the girl in his hand effortlessly and placing her over his shoulder, he began running after the dog, off to find the girl and deal with her and her rude nature.
