In his younger days, Prince Eric would have always planned for some sort of escape by now. In fact, the likelihood was still quite high due to such esquisite situations. Though much has change back when he was a boy, now a married man, and ruling the nation of his country, Eric seemed to have changed both maturely and responsibly over the years. "Ah Eric, I am so proud that you have finally decided to host this years Grand Diamond Ball for your 20 year anniversary of ruling this kingdom, your Highness. This year will bets it's 125th anniversary since this Grand Ball began, Ooooh I am sooo excited!" Grimsby praised the young man with high regard, as an old yet fuzzy smile appeared on his face, it looked as though the old manservant was remembering the days as to how much trouble Eric would cause, always avoiding such Royal Duties. "I have taken the liberty to inform the Royal Chefs and decorators to prepare for the Royal Ball, I'll make sure to proceed with the invitiations." Grims spoke with glee, as he dissappeared in a flash.
There was only one time Prince Eric would see Grims behave in such a way, and that was when he is in a extremely good mood. That was only when Eric's parents were around, and still alive. It was slightly upsetting to remember his Royal parents, but it would be replice by a slight joy, to see the manservant who was like a second father to Eric still fiery as all those years ago. "Be sure not to hurt yourself Grimsby. Take it easy, and don't rush." Eric informed to Grimsby, hoping tht the manservant would at least follow The Prince's advise. Though there was still so much work to do, and the Royal invitiations from across the many other worlds needed to be sent. Eric remembered that the portal's were still open, which gave him the right idea to write down multiple letters to be sent to everyone. Eric smiled, as this maybe the right time to get to know those who he has not met.
"To all who are concerned across the Kingdom and the vast Worlds beyond our own.
I am wiriting this letter to inform you that you are invited to participate in The Grand Diamond Roal Ball, celebrating it's long 125 years worth of History. For those who are beyond the many worlds that have been opened, I would be honored as Prince Regent of my Kingdom to see you come to the Royal Ball. There shall be dancing, food, laughter, and a great chance to meet and get to know people.
I look forward to see your company to The Grand Diamon Royal Ball, and to celebrate it's 125th Anniversary.
Signed: Prince Eric, Ruler regent of The Kingdom of the Land. "
The Prince added the crimson red candle stamp on each completed letter, and would see them carry off into the portal, hoping for those who'd recieve the letter to come and participate.

Copia had always been a pleasure with it's vast lands and different places to be but as the Chosen of Copia James had been tasked to protect it though there was nothing to protect it from currently and that made things a bit boring as of late. James had been training in his parents backyard with his uncle who had shown the boy more on swordsmanship when suddenly a portal of sorts opened to leave a single letter on the ground with a red candle stamp on it.
As James carefully opened the letter as it looked very fancy and well made he carefully undid the seal and read it.
"Wow this actually sounds like fun but what does he mean by world?"
"I Imagine he means there are other kingdoms besides our own kiddo. Though it does sound far-fetched." said John
The portal still stayed open as if waiting for an answer.
"I'd like to go but will you all be fine without me?"
"Remember I'm the one who taught you kiddo! We'll be fine! Go and have fun!"
James rushed through the portal with the invitation in hand with his lantern around his waist and sword on his back just in case.
At the new world James took site of a huge castle
"Whoa! this place is huge! It sorta reminds of Hykan but a lot more people and buildings."
As James walked through the streets a lot of unfamiliar smells wafted through the air. Looking around James noticed all types of new foods he hadn't tried before. James focused on the palace and was promptly stopped by the guards asking for an invitation. James showed the man the invite with the envelope intact, well as much as it could be for being opened.
The guards looked at each-other then the letter and nodded and said to go on in but to leave his sword here during the party. James obliged and took off the sword on his back and placed it near other weapons that had been either confiscated or just plain relieved for the party. James was lucky he was getting his sword back after this.
As James walked down the hall into the ballroom he suddenly felt under-dressed for this occasion as many were in tuxedos and dresses. James had his title but that only worked for his Kingdom so he can only hope on this invitation he was sent. James still had his lantern around his waist and that would be one sight to see for this Kingdom since fire like this doesn't exist here, it rarely does anywhere else on Copia besides Hykan.
James just hoped he could fit in.

As Eric appeared from his chambers, entering through the doors into the Great Hall, he noticed a most unfamiliar person who has arrived into his castle. He smiled upon noticing James, and opened his arms as a sign of greeting. "Hello there friend!" The prince welcomed James, as he walked over to him with a smile, figuring that the letters that he sent must have been successful afterall. "Welcome to my kingdom. My name is Prince Eric, I am the ruler of this kingdom." He introduced himself with both formaily and a friendly manner. "I'm glad to see that the letters I sent actually worked, you can never be too careful with these portals to other worlds these days, I hope Ariel will be able to join us."
"So, what is your name my friend? You seem to be the dashing sort of hero aren't you?" Eric smiled at his somwhat joke, grinning at the young boy motioning his hand, beckoning for the boy to follow him as he wanted to talk and have a little tour around the Castle. "So, what world are you from? Perhaps you are from the world that Sora lives in perhaps? Or maybe where Donald and Goofy live? All these worlds that have opened up is amazing, and yet will take time to understand for me." Eric asked him with a smile, whilst he looked over a window that had a gorgeous view of the vast ocean. Eric placed a hand on the glass window and sighed. "At First, I wondered if it was possible for other worlds to exist, but when Ariel founded help from Sora, Donald, and Goofy, who clearly were not from this land, it helped me opened my eyes."

Sitting like a lotus in the middle of a modest bed, Jasmine was alarmed for a letter to drift onto her lap. The bed bobbed as the weight shifted. Rajah lifted himself up from his sprawling position next to her. His loud purring tickled her ears as his muzzle nudged her face. Her slim arm curled below and around his neck to pat his full cheek and shield.
“I don’t know who it’s from. Is this sort of thing normal?” Her lips pursed pondering before her lithe fingers neatly broke the seal to read its content, “To all who are concerned across the Kingdom and the vast Worlds beyond our own…”
She paused with a hum, “so much for world order.”
A lot must have a changed; it has been years. What’s been going on for a lot of borders to be crossed? Concerned dipped in her brows. Was Sora okay? He wouldn’t let Aladdin journey with him in pursuit of her to keep order amongst the worlds, and she hadn’t shared that side of her life with her only father. With the ominous cloud of darkness, it was unsettling.
“I am writing this letter to inform you that you are invited to participate in The Grand Diamond Royal Ball, celebrating its 125 years’ worth of History,” her eyes ran left to right reading the rest with soft mutters. Rajah reclined back on the bed uninterested in another royal gathering. It should be no different than Agrabah, and as such, he never attended. He grumbled in anticipation to stay here in this small red room in this strange night-filled world. He huffed when a hand patted his stomach, “It looks like I’ll be meeting a prince, Prince Eric, such an odd name, but simple.”
With a single beat to sit, she jumped out the bed. With a light airy gait, she walked to the closet to rummage through the attire she brought with her. Hearing the swishes of fabric, Rajah perked his head and grumbled lowly.
“I know I should wait for Aladdin, but I don’t know how long he’ll take. Plus he knows our meet-up point. I’ll fill him in when we touch bases,” she flipped through her wardrobe, and nothing ‘called’ to her, “It’s my time to be diplomatic, mingle, meet new people and fellow royals. It could be beneficial for Agrabah as well as getting information.”
Rajah stared at her back as she tried to rationalize everything. His tail swayed like a bored cat. Nothing she said sat well with him. When she finally faced him, she was holding up multiple clothing.
“I should dress appropriately, but it’s a different world,” a couple of them left her stomach exposed, and she wasn’t sure if their level of modesty was higher. People here certainly stared at her longer than she liked. After a few exchanges with honest civilians, they said she looked beautiful, but for her there was a thin line between beauty and exotic. She was an heir not an Almeh; being in a different world placed a different lens. Would they be able to tell the difference when she needed it?
She wasn’t stomping through Traverse Town as Princess Jasmine and was smart enough to wear her bland dull brown robes over her royal blue garment. The few times she dropped her guard and unveiled too much made her more self-conscious of how she wanted to present herself and when. She was even discreet with Rajah, who was getting restless for not having a bed of his own.
Holding up what looked more of a dress, she settled, “This will have to do. We’ll see what this Kingdom of the Land is like.”
---
With a blue gem around her neck, she faded in a blue glow with the letter in hand.
“I’ll be back soon Rajah.” Her voice thinned to an echo whisper as she appeared elsewhere. The main colors she saw immediately was green! There were so many trees; she thought it was unbelievable. The sky was tinted with pink and had the fluffiest clouds. This was nothing like Agrabah, and her smile matched her awe filled eyes. Biting down on her lip, she actually felt giddy like a teen. She really wished Aladdin was here to see this with her; this would blow his mind. There was even SHADE! There was a cool touch in the air, which instantly made her shiver. Gentle off shore breeze whispered through this cute cobblestone kingdom with lush browns and greens.
The palace itself was large with multiple pillars. Unlike home, they peaked to a point with flags rather than the large domes. The gates to the palace had three doors; they were opened for the on-going celebration. Appearing her by magic, she felt out of sorts as others climbed out of horse drawn carriages, but Jasmine wouldn’t let that faze her. She will not falter here. She was the future Sultan of Agrabah. Embarrassment was the last thing on her mind.
With her head held high, she followed the others towards the main door. Their dresses were stuffed and ballooned below their waist. It made them look so round and bulbous. How much fabric was needed for that appeal? Glancing around, she noticed that was the norm in contrast to her wispy flowy dress. She hadn’t walked into the palace, and she stood out already aside her dusky skin, large almond eye, and jet black hair. Her usual blue gem crown adorned her head.
When asked for her invitation, she held it up without hesitation. With a gesture to go in, she nodded with a short, “thank you.”
The ballroom was long and wide. Dancing had already commenced in the center, but through the people she could see the multiple doorways panning the opposite wall. It led to the outside world: the sky, the horizon, and the ocean. There was so much water; it was endless.
“It’s beautiful,” she whispered to herself, while she proceeded inside.

James had always been taught to bow when in the presence of powerful leaders like the Duke and Duchess of Copia. Which James almost forgot to do as he was caught up in the moment. Though when asked his name he quickly bowed as he had forgot to earlier.
"Your highness my name is James Cabuelo and I wish to thank you for your humble invitation." James lifted his bow and nodded as if to agree with the prince
"I have been Chosen by Koa', A Goddess of Light that protects our world from what ever may threaten it." James looked downcast now.
"Although I have yet to accomplish much at all as it's chosen hero."
James wondered who Sora, Donald and Goofy were. As for Ariel it sounded like a friend of the prince.
James calmed himself as explaining everything about his world in a regal manner would take its toll.
"Copia is made up of five different regions all on one huge island. We are ruled by a Duke and Duchess who rule all of Copia. As for the regions themselves there is the main land and center of trade called 'Hykan'. I live in small house in the country next to Hykan with my parents and my uncle who runs a blacksmith shop next door. Agon is a Tundra but has pure waters and not much population due to the cold, Cairn is a Jungle like area with many wild beasts and unique foods, I remember some ruins being there too and they were dangerous but i heard treasure was in there once but ignored it. Rubai is a desert but home to a colliselum in the sky above a lake. Lots of competition and lots of people falling into the water. Then finally there's Yssam, I don't go there much since it's supposed to be haunted and these dark creatures show up everywhere around it. It's a woods with a perpetual night and the only safe place i've seen is that mansion far into the woods. That's pretty much it for Copia other than the constant monster threat and Koa' the Goddes of Light."
James exhaled and noticed a woman in a very unique dress. Had he not noticed her before? He must have been concentrating on Eric to notice.
Noticing how well dressed everyone else was he felt rather upset at himself for not bringing proper clothes.
Koa' was staying quiet for once and didn't appear in ball form like usual maybe she just wanted him to enjoy the party and relax for once.

Megara`s dressA Ball wasn't usually Megara's number one choice of things to do, in fact she would rather be somewhere a little more reserved than this place. Whether it was the enticement of adventure or the hope that Hercules had stumbled upon the place, Megara wouldn't admit it. Pride stopped her from confessing her loneliness without Wonderboy, but with the invitation in hand her immediate thought was of him. The confession would never leave her lips, instead she would fold the letter back into the envelope and slip it back into her quiver. Phil had convinced her to learn how to shoot with a bow and arrow to better protect herself, weapons of strength were wasted on her but the abilities he taught her would come in useful at some point. The idea wasn't for her to leave but without everyone together - without him - things felt empty and she couldn't just sit around. A Ball with strangers from all other worlds intrigued her, maybe Sora would be there too, maybe he knew something she didn't. Of course he would though, it seemed like she was always in the dark but this was her chance to do something. Because of all this, Megara gathered her things (which wasn't a lot) and headed towards the portal whence it came. Before she stepped out her lavender eyes glanced back at herself in the mirror, she wasn't dressed right for this…her purple dress was nice but not Ball-esque. She rolled her eyes at the thought, did she really care about what others thought of her? No, she didn't but this wasn't about that, the bottom line was finding him and there must be something…anything that she could bring with her. And then she remembered something she was given by a certain Goddess. Aphrodite had given her something to celebrate her new life with Herc and it felt strange to wear it with him not being here but still, it was all she really had to meet the Prince and his guests. She sighed thinking about going by herself but was still stubborn enough to continue to get ready. "Things I do for you, Wonderboy." She scoffed and smiled at the thought of him again, "you better not be standing me up Mr. Hero." In truth she wasn't sure he would be there at all but it was her first chance to leave Greece. Now she felt almost appropriately dressed in her long purple and gold dress, it was a bit much for her and she longed to change back but it was now the time for her to take some risks. Meg edged near the portal, it hadn't disappeared yet and deep inside she could see the bridge that led people into the castle. Unless it was a life or death situation Megara wasn't generally brave but neither was she sure this was dangerous. Perhaps that was the problem. Finally stepping into the portal without so much as a look back, Megara took a moment to take in everything on the other side. The air was colder than that of Olympia, and the place had a different feel…western. She wondered whether the gods had created this place too, there seemed to be a lack of their presence. Still, there was a different feeling about the place, it was perhaps the lively atmosphere rather than the decor but Megara stayed cautious. By herself she was vulnerable and she knew that but this was what Phil was preparing her for, right? Otherwise what was the point? As she walked inside amongst excited guests and couples, Meg's eyes flicked between them. It was subconsciously for Herc, although she was also looking at all the different clothes others were wearing. Despite the fact she was different from others in terms of looks, so were many of the other guests, all these worlds joining into one. With the swing of her hips her feet and sandals carried her straight through to the hall. Dancing would be avoided for the foreseeable future, instead she was more preoccupied with everything around her. As she stepped inside she could see the beauty of the place, and nearby to her a woman in white stood close to the Grecian. The girl whispered what Megara was thinking although Meg was never very sentimental she couldn't help but feel in awe of the place. Meg leant on one hip and crossed both her arms, her bow and quiver were taken from her with the invitation as she entered the place. Now she was like every other guest here, with the thought in mind she turned to the stranger curiously. "Do you know his royal highness, here?" Her voice was laced with a sarcastic tone, "There must be something more to this than a party, don't you think?" Megara was a natural cynic but she also wondered whether there really was more to this whole charade.

Belle was in the midst of re-arranging books on the shelves in the great library of Beast's Castle. Every so often she would give them a new home, and pull down the books she had not read in a while. Some of her favorites were on shelves closer to the floor, while those she had read more recently found higher perches. It was nice to have peace in the Castle, though it seemed there had been (dare even think it) too much quiet lately? Though Belle certainly was not complaining, she had been hoping to have some visitors, ones who would not damage the place or try to harm those in it. It was as she sat down to re-read the old-time classic of Romeo and Juliet that a portal suddenly appeared, an envelope falling through it. How curious... Belle stood, setting the beloved book aside to pick up the waiting envelope. Smiling at the red candle seal, she opened the envelope and read the letter contained inside. An invitation..to a very important-sounding ball. How very wonderful...and rather astounding. Here just a little while ago she had been contemplating the need for socialization outside of the Castle and now an invitation shows up. It was rather..refreshing. Standing, Belle realized the portal was still waiting. Hopefully it would wait just a bit longer, as she hurried to her room to change. Feeling that since this was a very important occasion, her blue dress would be too plain, Belle put on the gold ballgown Beast had given her a long time ago. When they had shared that first dance... her thoughts drifted back to that night, but she realized she needed to hurry and not be late. Quickly attired, Belle returned to the library and stepped into the portal with the invitation (and a book) in hand. Arriving at a bridge where several others were crossing, Belle was relieved that she had chosen to wear the ballgown. She would have been very under-dressed if she had simply worn the blue dress she most often went about the Castle in. Entering the castle, Belle looked around in amazement. So many people had come...and although she had some experience with traversing other Worlds, Belle was still astounded by how many people were gathering. It would be hard not to meet others.. Her invitation was received with a polite 'thank you' and as she had no weapons, just a book, Belle entered the large room where people were heading. Walking along, the layers of her gown rustling gently and waving with each step, Belle admired the decor and the wondrous architecture of the space. Pausing, she noticed two others standing to the side..one she recognized as the Princess Jasmine..though they had not really met, she had heard of her. And the other was speaking to her..dressed in clothing Belle thought most like the history books with the tales of gods and heroes.. Moving closer, Belle hoped to greet both of the ladies, and make their acquaintance..get to know them much better.

Silence among the floor of crystal, a true beauty of a floor befitting only the emperor of death and life. Residing in the top floor of Castle Pandemonium, the emperor Mateus remained upon his throne sitting upon the grand throne. It didn’t matter whether it was Pandemonium or Arubboth, for the Emperor they were both his domains and he was free to choose whichever he desired. He sat upon the throne, his eyes closed as he rested his check upon his knuckle.
This silence was something that was something that Mateus would use to compile his thoughts and rest, but even so it was not as if anyone would dare to trouble him in his own domain. Those that would even so much as think of doing so were nothing more than the rebel fools and even then Mateus was more than willing to punish the mongrels. Rest was what he needed and desired, however Mateus was no fool to blindly ignore all that would occur. The sound of footsteps were heard however Mateus remained calm and unmoving, already knowing who had arrived.
“Milord…”
The voice was silent and smooth, a voice from one of his knights that desired not to interrupt his lord.
“You may approach….speak”
Eyes remaining closed, the black knight stood before his emperor and knelt down before the emperor with his head lowered. Raising his hand forward, the hell spawned knight presented what seemed to be a letter stamped with a candle stamp, clearly marking that of royalty.
“A portal formed and this letter originated from said portal…”
The eyes of the emperor opened forth and glanced down upon the servant holding the letter and upon taking a glance at it he took the letter and opened it. Mateus had to admit he was quite curious about said letter. Just who sent it and for what purpose did it hold? By opening it he would soon find out the questions?
“Eric…how amusing” Mateus said closing his eyes with chuckle arising to his feet before walking forward. “Show me where you found this…portal. I will admit I have found interest in this” Mateus ordered before the two walked off.
In no time, the two of the arrived before the portal and Mateus glanced forward at the distortion of space before him “…you may leave” Mateus said before the knight nodded and left with a nod. Mateus continued to stare upon the portal, looking upon it and wondering just what caused such a thing to appear. He had been to other worlds, but the balance between worlds was being broken in quite the fast pace, not that he minded. “Intriguing…was this caused by the war of the gods….no…in any case perhaps I shall humour myself” Mateus said as he tapped the bottom of his staff on the ground, changing his appearance to one more suitable. His demonic armour was now change into purple robes that held the elegance of a ruler. His blond hair had changed white and the hairstyle changed as well. “It will not match those of that world, but it shall do” Mateus said before walking forward and entering the portal.
Past the boundaries that separated the very worlds, Mateus found himself taking steps upon a new world. This world was surely one that was blessed by the light and the near endless see they were blessed with was quite beautiful. It was quite different from his desert of a kingdom Palamecia, but even so this world’s purity would not last quite long and all he needed to do was be patient. He continued to walk on, placing his staff among the others as the rules of this kingdom demanded. It was a pointless jester as he could merely call upon his weapon at any time.
Mateus was quite the deceptive man and to retain a calm demeanor that held absolutely no malice was something the man could do simply. He walked on through the halls, presenting his invitation, however the emperor suddenly stopped in his tracks as something caught him off guard. “Light…” Mateus muttered quietly under his breath. There was two being in this very world that held the scent of light, it was no normal form of light but one of purity, one that was never stained by darkness in the slightest. He had met a man with such a heart as that, that sheer devotion and intuition that man held was annoying and prevented him from staining that man’s heart, but he did wonder if these two beings were as strong willed as that warrior of light. For now Mateus stood by the sidelines, observing the scenario.

None of the others were present as the piercing aged eyes looked over it once more. If the futility of the so-called "hero's" struggle was naive, then what did that make this? The yellow orbs continued to dart swiftly over and over, reviewing the same simple words in repetition. Ah, simplicity. Foolish and naive simplicity couldn't help but bring a devious smile to Master Xehanort's face. The tight grip of his gloved hang began to give way, as with a flick of the wrist, the invitation was sent back unto Master Xehanort's person as it dissipated into darkness. The second gloved fist continued to cradle the genius mind that rested upon it. For now, the eyes darted across the twelve empty white seats. All of which were assigned, save for one.
The white glove twirled and stroked the insidious grey goatee, as the gears within the ancient Keyblade Master's mind continued to endlessly turn. Plans were reviewed while failsafes were evaluated, both old and new. As for the latter, simplicity would suit this situation perfectly. The Prince was trying to effortlessly wield a double edged sword with this pathetic ball. Through attempting to make contact with the other worlds, he has unwittingly opened the door wide open for schemers to further their own desires. Yet, with simplicity, comes a great benefit. Manipulations of alliances, the unending quest of knowledge...the purest of heart.
Should the overconfident Keybearers be present, it would simply be their choice to expose themselves as tyrannical aggressors who make it their goal to meddle in the affairs of other worlds. Yet all he had to do was simply observe, and play the part of the victim. Ruses were always so efficient, and the ruse of innocence was one many had made the mistake of falling for. Lifting his head from its gloved resting place, the two gloves assisted the ancient villain in rising from his pristine white seat. With a simple act of his will, a melding of purple and black appeared before him. A void that allowed its wielder to traverse across the stars. A corridor to thrust his plans to the forefront.
As the arms folded themselves to their usual position, the sound of his boots filled the pristine white room. As the void dissipated, silence fell upon the place of non-existence once more. Finding himself surrounded by gilded halls and arrogant elite, the skilled deceiver continued his unwavering steps. A passerby here or there would glance in his direction, only to swiftly lose interest in the frail old specimen. A servant here or there would inquire if he needed assistance, only for a well-placed smile and a few gentle words to ease their worries. Another would ask for his invitation, and rather than allowing the ruse to give way into pride, a slow reach into his pocket helped continue his ploy.
The piercing eyes darted this way and that, leaders congregated and spoke of the virtues of their lands, nobles boasted of their bloodline, servants scurried about the place with hors d'oeuvres and finely filled delicate glasses bubbling with their liquid contents, and maidens waltzed and danced to their heart's content. Yet no mere maiden's heart would suffice, there were only seven in existence, unlike any other. Through the idiotic crowds he could feel it ever so slightly, an untainted brilliance that beckoned the whispers of the Keyblade War. A swift pluck from one of the passing trays place a filled glass firmly in his grasp, while the other arm had remained folded behind the Seeker of Darkness.
Another step here, another step there, as the warm brilliance grew ever so noticeable, irradiating like the nostalgic sun from his pathetic homeworld. A tiny, yet all important prison that had set him upon this destined path. Yet there they were, their dresses were remarkable, and their presence was...pure. Yet the Keyblade Master stood across from them, observing with keen eyes the individual who was attempting to occupy their attention. Another false smile was drawn upon his face, as the role of the serene old man continued its act. The gloved fingers tightened slightly around the glass as he took a meager sip, deciding to continue his observations before beginning deceitful introductions.

"Do you know his royal highness, here?" A sarcastic voice sighed next to her. Her head turned slightly to see the discomforted woman. Although she was dressed beautiful, she seemed like a fish out of water. She found herself chuckling reading her sentiments. This wasn’t her typical thing or crowd, "There must be something more to this than a party, don't you think?"
“You’re not use to these gatherings, but just relax,” she advised kindly, “it’s simply a party and unworldly networking. It’s not every day a prince hosts a party for foreigners of different worlds. From the invitation, I take it this is his first grand ball of this magnitude. It must be an honor, to be invited on a significant 125th anniversary.”
At times, she surprised herself; so many years ago she would be just as agitated and ready to leave rather than succumb to another party, to sit and be poise, to smile and wave, and to be everything she isn’t. This was one of the few she was excited for including her wedding. As the gem of Agrabah, she had a station to stay, while entertainers enthrall her. This ball was so interconnecting and intimate; people, royal and commoners, were all under one roof. It was an intoxicating experience that can be good for Agrabah; there can be good in world disorder: sharing ideas and meet new people and kind souls.
“This is a first for me too,” she looked at her fully with a smile, “so you’re not alone. If your partner doesn’t show, we can keep each other company.”
She held her head high, while eying the crowd,“it’s very unusual for two lovely ladies to attend these things alone.” Her large eyes scrunched with a mischievous smile, “at least together it will give the men more work to ask us to dance.”
Pairs walked about with linked arms, and Jasmine casually followed suit, lifting a curved bare arm to the other guest. Oddly enough, they mirrored each other with their asymmetrical gowns. With their obvious exotic and foreign appeal, Jasmine’s regal air, and her curt down, they could easily stroll about the ballroom un-bothered. Their charm and aura alone can disenchant stray men.
Honestly she didn’t mind mingling, but she felt more comfortable through others comfort.
“It’s Jasmine,” she introduced shamelessly.
From the corner of her eyes, she locked for a moment with another, a boy; his bright blue eyes screamed youth, and his attire yelled inexperience. She hummed noting the tan man talking to him, while still being attentive to her company.
“How much do you want to be they’ll come this way,” she never really had a girlfriend or a sisterhood. There was a brief time with the Princesses of Hearts, but that was so long ago. She doubt she would remember what they look like after spending so many years blocking it out, “The key is to look unavailable, but it doesn’t work on the bold and daring.”
“So,” she chirped, “we can stand like sitting ducks, or walk and talk, while getting refreshments.”
Foreseeing her answer, Jasmine started moving, “Now where are you from, and who should be joining you?” As she spoke, she felt it like a heat wave. Her eyes unknowingly searched for it until spotting a woman in yellow; she was literally walking in gold. Her brows scrunched at the buzzing familiarity, but she couldn’t put a name to the face. What she did notice was a book.
She brought a book to a party. It was a tragedy in the making.
“You should ask her to join us,” Jasmine suggested, “you can test your networking skills.”
Inwardly she was smiling to herself; at her rate, she could be a party host. It was one thing when she HAD to do it for formalities and appearance, but here she was another face in the crowd. She still carried her title, but THIS wasn't centered around. Now she was Jasmine simply being Jasmine. It gave her warmth to see how some aspects of a princess was naturally in her. She never thought she would be a socialite by choice. This was turning out so nicely; she wished Aladdin was here to see this. Her eyes darted about wondering how many other women she can string along with them. Her eyes landed on a ghastly woman. She nearly choked on a cough realizing it was a man.
Good job Jasmine, she rolled her eyes at her silliness; still she got a strange feeling, what a strange strange little man...

Jovial Prince of Thieves Far be it for the young man to be the pillar of any community and be invited to a ball that was the revelry of the uppercrust of society. Far be it for him to join the posh and snooty at any sort of venue that did not involve him stealing the gold encrusted scabbards from right under their tailcoats. Seeing as the absence of attentiveness from the Kingdom of Alexandria due to the unknown location of the Queen, the rogue was left with a respectable opportunity to really gauge the presence of power between the different worlds that existed across the verses. Far be it for a Knight of Cosmos to ignore the chance at determining the balance of power between the figureheads of societies. And far be it for the rogue to ignore the chance at mingling in the presence of free food and drinks. He supposed he had to keep some face for her sake. He would do his best to behave, but he held no general promises in holding his tongue. It was not hard for the thief to make headway in his travels. It stood more a vexing complication to make sure not to expose any questionable aspects concerning him. He was not quite Gaian, but neither was he quite Terran in those respects. He knew that a number of folk outside the worlds found guys with tails pretty peculiar and he wasn’t out to really raise questions, as much as he liked to hear himself talk! Admittedly he was hard pressed in dressing up for the shindig. It would mean he had to tuck in his shirt and really primp up like some dazzled up bird during the spring. Even still he supposed he would take the effort. Luckily the troupe had plenty of outfits he was fitted to. His height was always an issue with clothing, but hemmed shirts and pants were never a problem for an official theater troupe such as his. At least mostly official. One could hold general ignorance to the fact the leader of the troupe was the head of a band of thieves. Though the rogue did not bother to change his undershirt, finding himself quite comfortable in his sleeveless top. He wore on top a collared, short-sleeved shirt. Over that he would sit over it an olive gilet, that sat down to his hips, unlike his waist level gilet. He traded his lace jabot for a crimped jabot and a thicker, light blue ribbon to tie it together. Over all of it the thief wore a long-tail, teal surcoat. With gray, knee-length knickers and blue leather boots, which climbed up to his knees, with white spats pieced the whole outfit together. Of course it was quite handy that the longer tail of his coat his his actual tail in the process… Tying back his hair with a ribbon matching the color of his necktie the rogue headed toward his ship with invitation in hand. Of course he did not stand to trust living a life without his blades. He was not sure how nobles even considered leaving to parties unarmed. Sure for the sake of courtesy and the jobs of the Knights Errant, not having any weapons made good and sure no assassins came through. But if there were any interlopers the rogue would rather his trusty blades at his side. His holster was settled beneath his surcoat, hidden from view. The belts that seemed to always be hooked on his waist not only held up his knickers but kept him feeling balanced with his satchels and holster hidden beneath the loose fitting top. He did well enough keeping Invincible out of the view of others and disembarking on the world. Though he was not sure where Atlantica was, Invincible had no difficulty locating it. “ You wait right here. I’ll call if I need help.” He pointed toward the sky, before waving his hand and heading off. He was already starting to feeling the choking serenade of his clothing. “ How the hell do they wear these all day?” The rogue cursed before popping his collar and loosing it a bit, letting his necktie flow out over the crimped jabot. He kept his tail curled up behind him, sometimes wiggling it a bit as he walked. Old habits really died hard. Though, contrary to popular belief, the tail was not something really necessary for walking. He was an upright humanoid after all. But when it came to his acrobatics and otherwise death-defying and gravity abusing high climbs, the tail helped… a lot. Bartering his way through the doors with smiles and bright greetings the thief already stood out. Not one person was left out of his gentle gaze. Servants and guests alike were greeting with a wide smile and loud, audible voice. He was someone who wasn’t afraid to talk to others and mingle. If his height did not draw the attention of others it would be those blue eyes of his that held focus. Though there seemed nothing too bizarre about his eyes, if one looked closely they would certainly see the narrow slit of a pupil that seemed rather out of place. Of course staring too long was rude in polite company, so the boy had nothing to worry about. Zidane was all for mingling and observing. He had a sharp eye and a piercing wit. Anyone who was carrying valuables never escaped the rogue’s notice for long. Be it hefty pocket watches that weighed down the vest or gilded monocles that perched on the face of a snub-nosed man -- his eyes counted and measured everyone’s goods and location. He was a handy pickpocket but always lived for the chase. Perusing the selection, said rogue would eventually catch sight of the wall of lonely beauties. His white-gloved hand reached up to brush back his wild bangs of blonde, in a wasted effort as they sprang back up in defiance. He sidled his way toward where Megara and Jasmine seemed to be playing the part of wall flowers. “ Ladies~! And here I thought I wouldn't find any interesting company.” The boy’s voice seemed to perfectly match his size. “ I gotta say this this party’s even more awesome now.” He verbally laid out with a smirk on his face. He looked young, far below the years expected of a seasoned adventurer or any so-called Angel of Death. But the way he moved and the manner in which he talked were both peculiarities. His speech lacked any sense of formality. He spoke to them as if he was a close friend. For a crook the brigand cleaned up pretty well. He supposed he would avoid saying anything about being a rogue, he would find something to rally up some interest. After all, what was a party without a few ladies laughing and smiling? |

As Megara listened to the dark haired woman, she realised that she wasn’t as common as herself or others of her ranking. Whether she were royalty or of some other descent, she hadn’t quite figured it out yet but by her wording it seemed as though the Ball wasn’t something that gave her any unease. What she said was true, to ‘network’ as she said would benefit her greatly at this precise time, Megara needed to meet new people and to understand what was going on in all the worlds for them to join like this. She also wondered whether they would have heard of or seen Wonder Boy, a man that could lift ridiculous amounts of weight without much effort though by the looks of him and those huge muscles well…
Megara snapped out of her mind and pressed a hand to her hip, raising the other to press against her forehead, the girl hadn’t answered her, perhaps seemingly hypothetical question straight off. Instead she voiced her own opinion, Megara had to respect the fact the woman held her own and wasn’t swayed by the Grecian’s comments, perhaps it were just men that those tactics worked on. It wasn’t as though Megara had a lot of girl friends and there was actually good reason for that…well a good enough reason for her anyway, now she had Hercules and things were different…they were a lot better.
“Honoured? I guess that’s one way of putting it,” Megara retorted unaggressively, her movements and voice were always like a wave of effortless grace, “I’ll admit that I’m not usually one for ball gowns and canapés.” Megara listened to the woman in white admit this wasn’t her type of thing either for the most part, she now let out a smile feeling a little more relaxed and gave an appreciative nod, “Well I’m glad we’re on the same page,” It was the truth after all, “I somehow don’t think Wonderboy is here…believe me, we’d notice.” The strongman would stand out to her sure, but what was most noticeable was his clumsiness and then sometimes him forgetting his own strength.
Megara’s eyes followed the Asian’s across the crowds that have gathered in all corners of the room and then back to her when she mentioned dancing, Megara let out a short chuckle, “The only dancing I’ll be doing is the strut to the exit.” Lavender eyes dropped down to the arm that was now held out to her, she spoke her name, Jasmine like the flower and Meg parted her own lips to speak hers, wondering whether she’d actually made a friend here. “I’m Megara, but call me Meg,” Her own arm linked into Jasmine’s and she felt a pure decentness about her.
“How much do you want to bet they’ll come this way,”
Eyes parted from the other mingling guests back to the Prince and a blonde haired male, Megara recognised one of them as who she believed was the host greeting people as they entered. Jasmine seemed to be trying to teach Megara a thing or two, it was funny thinking about some of the sticky situations she had gotten herself into. Still, it wasn’t a competition and Megara gladly accepted her company, “Or the one’s with hooves and a temper.” She remembered the first time she’d met the demi god while she wrestled that half-horse off of her. Jasmine wanted to walk and talk and Megara still held her intrigue, “Sure…I’ll bite.” She said in response to her, not in the literal sense of course, Megara was growing more and more curious with the woman as she spoke.
“Greece…where the horses fly and the god’s live in a palace safe in the clouds…” Megara trailed off remembering a certain familiar one herself, “Mostly that is, one of which I hoped would be here, his name’s Hercules if you ever stumble upon a man who can lift this palace with his little finger, send him my way.” Megara knew he wasn’t exactly a god anymore but to her he still was despite what he’d given up for her. “And yourself? I hope I’m the only one of this duo being stood up here.” Jasmine really was taking in everything around her, Meg was constantly following her lead and following what would distract her from the two of them, although she didn’t mind, this particular time had seemed different than the others. Perhaps it was someone she too recognised, “Are you okay?”
“You should ask her to join us,” Jasmine suggested, “you can test your networking skills.”
“Erm…I don’t think I need to…” Megara’s voice trailed off until she was silent, the woman was already coming closer to the pair…as was a short blonde man who greeted them quite happily. Megara smiled and nodded to the young man, “I hate to break up the small party but excuse me a minute. Jasmine here would appreciate the company while I’m gone.” Megara gave a light smile to the dark beauty and unhooked her arm, “I’ll be right back.”
Wandering off towards the woman in the golden dress, Megara’s hips swayed whilst trying to lock eyes with the second Princess (unbeknown to her) to draw her attention from the others. As she had gotten closer, Megara smiled and parted her lips to speak to the woman, “Hi, name’s Meg.” There was no need to give her full name every single time, “It was getting a little crowded over there, three’s a crowd, you know?” She glanced over to see how the others were getting on and then as she looked back she noticed the woman carrying a book, “What about you? You know study time’s over right?” She chirped light-heartedly, “I’m kidding,” She waved a hand in front of her as if to brush the comment away, “Do you know Jasmine here? Quite the strong character.” It was true, she did seem to know her own mind, Megara, although dressed the part as being someone of royalty felt as common as every other person, being with a demi god didn’t change that. Perhaps present company would do so? Whether that were before the people watching them interfered none of them would know.

The Prince Eric seemed rather focused on the concept of other worlds though it still seemed rather far-fetched until as if Koa' was spiting him more guests of all kinds and traits arrived at the ball in more than casual fashion unlike James who had arrived in his normal clothes expecting it to be a regular party as James had no idea what a grand ball was so he went with his normal clothes.
As more arrived the ones that James' took notice of a boy with longer blonde hair talking to the ladies with their lovely gowns.
"Young James I sense malicious intent in this hall but I cannot pinpoint the sources .The hall and the other guests from different 'worlds' seem to be blocking my vision of who they are."
"Well I guess the prince let in a few he did not mean to. I should put a stop to whoever they are."
As James ruled out many suspects like the old man and the ladies that left the boy who was talking to them and the man who looked like a woman.
James didn't want to worry any of the guests or give himself away so he just acted like he normally would.
As he paced over the ladies and the boy he glanced at him quickly as if checking to see if he was one of them. The boy was suspicious and most likely dangerous that's why James had to be careful.
James bowed and introduced himself
"Hello. My name is James Cabuelo the Chosen Hero of Copia and this...." now referencing the ball of light that appeared from out of James.
"...Is Koa' the Goddess of Light and protector of Copia. Sadly she can only speak to me but i can translate anything she says to you."
Koa' starting speaking an ancient copian language that only James can understand normally as regular words.
"The young chosen has picked a good time for this grand ball. So far not many dark forces have gotten through my protection but that has not stopped the monster attacks. The monsters appear to be in their mating season which has given the people of Copia an opportune time to rest and repair."
As Koa' finished James translated it for them as only James heard it as normal words.
"It is a good time for this party though I never been to a grand ball before,"

The gloved fingers gracefully tightened around the glass once more, and another sip was taken. The ancient globes continued to dart as always, ever curious of their surroundings as the events unfolded.
The gears kept turning as the ever expanding repositories of knowledge assisted the aged master in deciphering the figures who stood across from him. Countless years studying under his own foolish master and former "brother" Eraqus, and seemingly endless decades as a Seeker of both knowledge and Darkness. It was ironic really, being tasked to safeguard both the Worlds and the Purest of Heart from dark forces, and it was that very knowledge that had given him another dominating advantage in this little game.
First, they fell upon the darker skinned Princess, her light still shining bright and defiantly. Ah yes, the dark skin. So many a world graced its residences with its touch of beauty, but if one payed attention to the tiniest of differences in tone, in culture, in facial structure, they could decipher would years of knowledge gave them.
Agrabah.
Yet she was conversing with another female, though her heart held a tainted radiance, much unlike the pristine purity he so desired. But all hearts could serve a purpose, both the weak and strong. He observed their mouths carefully, and cared not for what they discussed. All that mattered was....where. Where to drift towards. Where to continue his ruse and blend in. Yet, when the other female began to congregate elsewhere, his attention was forced upon the second Light that she arrived at.
Another sip.
A slightly raised eyebrow gazed swiftly at the held book. Could it be one of the myriads of texts he had devoured over the years in his unquenchable thirst for answers? One of the petty tales he had read under his years of training? One of the dead stories of old during his times as a Seeker? Ah, but it was not the novel that mattered, but its reader. Two pure Lights in one place. This one would be more difficult to identify without fail....a closer inspection would be needed if any attempt of discovery could be made. But the ancient master continued to stand aback, preferring to view the events unfold once more.
The eyes darted and drifted, ignoring with ease the doings of the arrogant elite. He cared not for the foolish Prince who had pathetically opened the way for his plans. He cared not for the boasting of riches and the tales of extravagant kingdoms. He cared not for the dimwitted actions of the young who pranced about the halls, seeking adventure and merriment.
But the lingering presence of Darkness could not escape his senses.
Another sip.
The eyes finally fell upon such Darkness. Whether it be the destruction of competition, or the forging of alliances, his legs began to finally traverse him at last. Yet as he walked, he noticed how light the pathetic glass felt in his hand. The emptied glassware was soon met with a struggling servant, who offered to place it with its brethren upon a large carried platter. With a humble smile, the gloved hand relinquished it. A soft chuckle escaped the Keyblade Master as the two gloved hands were reunited to their usual position.
Curling and uncurling swiftly and unnoticeable from behind the old man's back, a mere exert of his will was sent forth. In an instant, the struggling woman felt as if she was carrying the weight of her own world upon that pitiful platter, and with a shriek the platter escaped her grasp, and fell to the floor. A symphony of broken glass was accompanied with another shriek of a naive woman whose dress had been subsequently ruined.
A slight smile formed upon his lips.
That should keep the interference at bay.
The legs continued to carry him as he arrived at his destination. He could feel the Darkness brimming off of him. But whether it was a rival or a tool remained to be seen. Continuing his ruse, he finally spoke.
"It seems this celebration has brought more than intended."
Not just in number, but in the individuals themselves.
"Who knows what really lies behind these faces."

Fools dancing about and boasting without a care in the world, it was quite pitiful to watch. They took pride in things that seemed rather basic and things that only seemed to be earned from the work of other and good fortune in the land. Humankind was quick to take credit for things that they did not earn themselves, though Mateus had earned numerous victories, he at lthe very least did it through his own power. The force of Palamecia was nothing more than a beginning step towards his plans. Everything that he worked up towards was all his doing. He used his resources and was able to easily claim the kingdoms of Deist and Kashuan as well as cause devastation around the very world itself.
The desire to merely act out and claim this kingdom as his own was great. The kingdom itself was not the greatest, however the scenery was admittedly beautiful and he did hold a desire to claim it, but Mateus knew that the beauty of such scenery would not last for long. He desired to spread a bit of terror to set an example of the people, but patience was a virtue, especially when there were two hearts of pure light roaming about. Such a being was hard to imagine, but nonetheless it is a rare existence in the entire world, perhaps even the universe. He may have not been able to use the warrior effectively, but he still had a chance with these two women.
He may have acted, but however he could sense a presence of darkness lurking around the area. It was no surprise that there would be a member of darkness roaming around and Mateus was actually hoping for this. If another fool was to create chaos upon this land then he could reap many benefits from it and still keep positive appearances here. It was times like these that he wished the idiotic jester was still about, but upon further thought about it, being away from the annoyance was something that Mateus enjoyed.
The party went on and Mateus chose not to glance over at the princesses, merely choosing to wait for anything of interest to occur, but however something or more like somebody disturbing had occurred. The chances to see one of them was astounding but nonetheless the boy stood before the princesses filled with glee. Zidane Tribal, one of the warriors of Cosmos now had entered the party. The boy was an annoyance, however the boy should not of remembered him and there were only a few that could have even remembered the conflict of gods. In his case he was special due to the case of his crystal of darkness, but he figured that there were a rare few that escaped that battle with memories intact. For now he would treat the boy as if this would be their first encounter, should they ever interact that is.
A glass of alcohol was held in his hand, a mere thing for the emperor to hold and sip to pass the time. Sure holding a glass of alcohol was pretty villainy, but he was a villain so sue him. He kept his eyes calmly, but could not help but open his eyes and glance over at the sudden shrieking girl. It was disappointing to see the girl merely screaming over trivial mattered, however his eyes stared over at the old man. The old man looked frail, yet held a sense of experience, but that was definitely not the defining point of the man. The being of darkness he had sensed before, though he hadn’t attempted to locate it earlier, it seemed this being chose to approach him nonetheless.
He glanced down at slumped old man as he spoke and closed his eyes, merely letting out a small chuckle. “Indeed, all faces…or rather all hearts hide behind a shroud of deceit…no matter how… pure. They are merely false veils that exist to deceive, even if the one they are deceiving is themselves” Mateus said. “ah, but nonetheless, such a gathering can be such an interesting event. Beings from all over, no matter how light or dark shall gather” Mateus said , bringing the glass of alcohol to his mouth. “Hubris, foolishness, or merely naivety…I do wonder which one has taken place in the young prince’s mind…perhaps a combination of the three” Mateus said silently to the old master before bringing his lips to the glass of alcohol, finishing off the last bits of the liquid with a smirk , the glass fading into tiny dust the moment he released it. With the noisy barking of nobles and the loud music playing it was far difficult for any other to merely listen to his conversation with the old man. Mateus was a man blessed with both light and darkness, though for this old man to spot the darkness was impressive to say the least. He looked fragile, but at the same time he seemed to be an intelligent man and that was something much more fearful than mere physical appearances. Things were truly holding the potential to become much more interesting.
