陰 Dragon ☯ Shaman 陽
Can you see through the mist !?
The beast was left with serious consideration on their current situation. If they could barely handle such concurrent battles, it did not seem they were prepared to face true opponents were they to come at length and in force. It left him to worry that his current state of power, though growing, was still not near enough if this mutant tree, cursing the ground of his hunt, was overpowering them with such minimal numbers. The worrisome prospect left the dragon with the thoughts of his future. Could he grow fast enough to fill the gap between him and, possibly, future opponents? His amber eye drifted toward the gargoyle as she rampaged. Even with the exhausting amount of fighting they were forced into she continued on. Did something drive her that was far more substantial or was she simply a greater force to be reckoned with? He could not fall behind, lest appear ‘less than’ worthy in the face of his current hunting party. Maybe it simply took time to get used to daily combat, when compared to the lazier days in the mountain where tactics relied more on clever trapping than actual frontal assaults.
Pushing to stand the beast glared at the Wizard who had reappeared a great distance from his current position. With Demona concentrated on the Lord of the Woods he was left with the only prospective prey that remained. Flexing his fingers and tightening his muscles the dragon kept focus on the Wizard as it bobbed and weaved. He had to step up and finish off his foe or they would be unable to make if forward. Rolling his shoulders he focused his mind on the possible chain of actions available to him and the variables involved. Turning his eyes toward the Wizard he stood between it and Demona, as well as the wild target. Its flailing and rampaging made it appear as if both the Lord of the Woods and Demona were berserk, but perhaps that would fuel into his actions. He took off in a full spring and ran toward the Wizard. Just barely rolling out of the way of a fireball the dragon threw a forceful, straight punch at the Heartless, obliterating it where it floated.
But the beast did not cease his forward charge.
Instead of halting to savor in his victory; the beast rushed toward an adjacent tree and kicked off the ground, his boots clipping into dirt, grass and loose pebbles. His long arms would reach out and anchor his heavy body onto the stable support. He did not allow his momentum to break as his weight was further elevated when the toes of his boots dug in to the scaled flesh of wood. He began to scale it, pushing his body forward with the east of a snake. His eyes were focused forward on his goal while his fingers dug into the textured bark. Dragging himself up and around the trunk he would hurry over one of the leaf covered limbs, body weighing down the support. Looking down he would see as Demona slammed into the tree and ripped into its flesh in her rage. The dragon had to help end this or that treasure would be lost, whatever it was that lured them here.
With a roar the dragon jumped, moving to slam himself down against the weakened tree. With his arms drawn over his head he would come careening down like a meteor. Using his dragon’s strength, or as much as he could tap into at this moment, he would collide with the tree, fists coming to slam down when his feet pressed to its surface, giving him the push needed to put his all into the attack. He only hoped it would be enough to finally bring down the troublesome tree fiend.
