The Fruits - Effects
Bananas: If hit twice, they turn into 5 banana peels. If bumped even once they turn into peels as well. If stepped on, they stun the played for 1 post. [RGN | 1 or 2]
Grapes: After they are hit three times, the grapes separate from the vine and break off. Each individual grape can score a goal and count as their own individual fruit with no effect. [RGN | 3 or 4]
Watermelons: If hit, there is a 50% chance you will be stunned for 1 post. This will be determined by your randomly generated number. Odd - Stunned | Even - Unaffected [RGN | 5 or 6]
Pineapples: You will be stunned/dazed for 1 post you if you are hit. [RGN | 7 or 8]
Apples: No Effect [RGN | 9 or 10]
Movements | Abilities
Similar to raids, you can only use two actions per post. However, because you are playing fruitball you must use the following moves to hit the fruits.
Bump - This allows you to jump into the air after knocking the fruit up to pursue it before spiking the fruit toward the opponents side of the field.
Curve - You swing your weapon at the fruit, curving the ball instead of hitting it straight.
Shoot - You "shoot" the fruit in a straight line at whatever you are aiming, be it the goal, or maybe your opponent. (Be careful not to spam a single move or "button mash" as it may decrease your odds of scoring.)
ObstaclesRandomly a staff member may comment and a net will appear on the field. These nets, if a fruit is knocked into them, will shoot the fruit toward your side of the field. They can appear in mid-air and will block your attempts at bumping fruit. These nets will appear for 1-2 posts at a time.
Randomly Generated NumberTo use the generator, you will need to reply to the thread. Posting in the "Quick Reply" will not work. In each post during a mission, you will use the code [rand*] without that asterisk. Depending on the number, this will tell you what fruit appears on your side of the field. If you get a 0, no fruit appeared on your side of the field.
Time Limit | JudgingEach member will need to post within 24 hours of the previous poster. The first round of matches will end in 10 days on September 17th. The games will be judged on your "Score", "Realism", and "Creativity". 3.. 2.. 1.. BEGIN

Deshi came to Disney Town searching for answers on how to control the Void or destroy it for good. He had learned through whispers and information he found at the Academy that Disney Town was the strong hold for Light and thought that maybe if he could reach the castle located at the heart of this town, he would be able to perhaps get an audience with the King and Queen and in turn ask for their assistance in helping him find the answers he sought.
Sure, he had Felix already helping, but he thought that maybe seeking aid from the Light would be a wise choice. He didn’t think the Dark could help him. From what he understood, Dark was bent on destroying and twisting the world, where as the Light sought to heal and aid. Healing. Heh. He needed lots of that for this problem and had to wonder if this plan would work at all. While the answer was probably not at all, he had to take his chances and just pray for the best.
In any case, he had decided to approach the castle from the town instead of appearing directly inside of it. He didn’t want to intrude and cause suspicion if he could gain access by simply following the rules and asking for permission.
If the calm warrior was turned away, he’d just have to try again later. He wasn’t going to force his way in unless he had no other choice and desperately needed the help. Thankfully, he had not reached that point yet, so he could take his time….for now; however, when he got to Disney Town, Deshi found he had come at a bad time. The town was in the midst of celebrating and the castle was off limits for the time. Feeling a bit disappointed at the turn of events, Deshi drifted about the town looking at the sites around him. With no other choice but to wait the party out, Deshi turned his slightly depressed mood into a positive as he let his attention be drawn to the festivities. He explored this booth and that booth and tried a bit of the food around the place before becoming heavily distracted by some games and contests booths that were heavily crowd by people he did and did not know. As he read the names of each of the booths, he was very interested in each, but threw out what he knew he could not do well—cooking and drawing to be exact—before turning his attention to the others. Command Board sounded too much like fighting and he definitely didn’t want that, so he glanced over it before his eyes landed on the strangest of the signs: Fruit Ball. His eyes lingered on the booth taking note not many were over there. Curious as to what this Fruit Ball was, he headed over to the….um…horse man? Yeah. Horse man! He headed over to the horse man named Horace and after listening to what the game was about, he decided to sign up for it. After all, he had time to spare.
Once he was all sign up and had learned the rules, Deshi stood on his side of the field looking around at the few spectators of the sport before focusing on the opposite end of the field and looked at his opponent, a kid with blonde hair. Nodding slightly at the kid, he flicked out his left hand summoning Crimson Rose. Then listening to the countdown, he heard the buzzer to start go off and waited for the fruit to come. When the first one appeared, he was shocked to see how large these fruits were and so for the moment attempted to bump the fruit towards his opponent with his sword.

It had been another day in Traverse Town, work had just finished and Lucius was ready to go home, he was not tired however today. Work seemed easier today for some reason. He shrugged it off and walked home, until he caught something strange. Well saw is more like it. He saw a door, a glowing door. The door was just in the middle of the road though, not connected to anything. Lucius, being the scientist he is, walked up to the door and opened it. When he opened the door all he saw was pure light. He walked into the door, curious of what was going on.
After a moment he opened his eyes, after blinking, and saw he was in an alley way in some other place. "Wait. Where am I?" He began to wonder, rushing out of the hallway to see a BRAND new town. "Did I move between worlds?" He thought out loud. This was defiantly not Traverse Town.
After doing some snooping around the town he learned two things. First he learned that he was in a new town called 'Disney Town'. It was a grand area, that much was true. The second thing he learned was that the town was in the midst of celebration. Lucius was interested in the celebrations and began to search among the booths. He found one, listened to a horse-man, well that's what he seemed to be, and nodded. He was up. The rules seemed easy enough, he would have to use his key blade though.
He stepped onto the field and quickly yelled over at his opponent. "Best of luck!" He said with a large smile across his face. The fruits appeared. Working in a fruit shop, he's seen huge fruits before but this was just INSANE. "HOW are these fruits made even!?" He thought in his head. His opponent didn't seem to get as much star struck seeing as he was all ready attacking. He already bumped it into the air and shot it towards my goal.
My right hand went out to the side and I summoned my key blade, Caelo. I jumped into the air and BLOCKED the upcoming fruit with Caelo. As my own fruit appears I land on the ground and hit it with a curve, trying to make it go around my opponent and go into the goal.

(Sky, your random code didn’t work, so I have no clue what fruit you have. Anywho, I’ll play this by ear.)
Before the game started, Deshi heard his opponent wish him luck and after a quick nod, the action had started. The first fruit to appear on his side of the field was a giant apple which he had immediately bumped over to the other's side of the field aiming for the goal. His opponent was quick in summoning a strange key like weapon and using it to defend his goal by blocking the apple which was reflected back towards Deshi. A keyblade wielder? Interesting, but he had no time to think to hard on the matter. He had a fruit coming his way and perhaps another fruit to worry about. He wasn't sure. Deshi suppose a fruit was suppose to appear on his opponent's side of the field for it seemed as if the blonde was attempting to use a technique that maybe would’ve sent the fruit in a curve like fashion towards him; however, no fruit appeared on the other's side, leaving only the apple from earlier to deal with for the time being, so as the large apple came towards him and his goal, he ran to meet the apple and swung out his sword in a upward swing to hit the fruit into the air and then leaping upward to follow the apple, he swung his sword in a heavy vertical strike to send the giant fruit flying back towards his opponent in an attempt to shoot the fruit into the goal. With any luck the fruit would go in. If not, he could adapt.
As soon as his actions were done, gravity took over and he was falling back towards the ground. He landed in a light crouch on the hard ground and then was standing once more as his eyes scanned the area for any fruit that may have cropped up on his side of the field.

The fruit came towards Lucius's side of the field. They were simply exchanging the same fruit, Lucius had to make sure his opponent did not score. He ran in front of his goal and blocked with Caelo. This was a simple swapping game at the moment. Lucius may not have liked the idea but it was time for him to become tactical, use different plays to mess with his opponent. Lucius swung his sword, shooting the apple that was on his side straight at his opponent to hit them.
It wasn't his proudest moment but the opponent would either get hit, block it or dodge and it and let it score. Either way it would cause some advantage for Lucius. [#@rand#=7.821570003405213%@]

He had shot the ba….er…apple at the boy’s goal; however, despite his attempt at getting it in, the boy had blocked the oncoming fruit from entering goal and was now shooting it back at him. Deshi raised his eyebrows at this slight turn of events. He didn’t think his opponent would go for such a trick to win; however, if he wanted to play dirty, he could do that. With a slight smirk on his face, Deshi saw an apple drop down nearby on his side of the field out of the corner of his eye, his smirk widening slightly as the extra apple bounced towards him. Quickly shifting his position and hold on his sword, Deshi swung about in a circle in an odd spin attack that sent the apple intended for him and the recently spawned one sailing back across the field in two wild paths. One apple was heading directly towards the boy while the other was going off to the side and hopeful towards the goal.
The slight smirk remained as Deshi watched to see what the boy would do. On one hand, he could block the apple coming towards him, dodge it, repel it back, or be hit, but if he focused on the apple coming towards him, the other apple would be able to sail by without a barrier to worry about and in turn have a higher chance of going in the goal; however, if the boy got away from the apple meant for him and tried to defend against the second apple, then the reflected apple would go in the goal. Granted, the boy could find a way around both, but as it was now the chances of that were low. Still no one could ever tell what another was capable of doing. In any case, as he waited to see what the boy did, he saw yet another apple appear on the boy’s side of the field this time and for a moment wonder if apples were the only fruit in this game.

Lucius saw the two upcoming apples. "To many apples." He thought to himself as he quickly thought up a strategy. In a regular fight Lucius knew he would have used magic to gain the upper hand, but he was not allowed to use such magic here. He would have to simply rely on his speed, a quality he was great in. His timing had to be perfect or it would simply have no effect and the opponent would gain the upper hand.
He swung his arms around, the left arm being a fraction slower even though it was not holding the keyblade. Lucius hit the apple on his right side, shooting it back at his opponent straight on, then he did something strange, he let go of his keyblade, and it disappeared. His left hand however was opened, the second fruit coming in, seeing as Lucius was standing in the middle of his goal. He began to move his feet quickly to the left though so he would hit it perfectly. The keyblade re-appeared, this time in Lucius's left hand. This time thought Lucius bump it up and spiked it down.
Both the apples were flying at his opponent's goal. He would have to block one from the sky and one from the ground heading straight for the goal. This would be a tricky situation but Lucius had faith his opponent would prevail nether the less.
Lucius noticed a new fruit, a watermelon appearing on the other side of the field. He had to be careful. He knew about fruits, he knew that the watermelon was quite delicate.

Without any warning, there is a poof of smoke and a decent size net appears in the middle of the field on the left side of the court, floating in the air to prevent bumping on the side of the field. (The right side and floating for Lucius). It looked a lot like a tennis net and would throw fruits back at you, making it possible to shoot fruits into your own net.

Okay.... Now this was getting a bit chaotic. After Deshi had done a spin attack to send two of the apples back towards his oppnonet’s side of the field, he watched as the young man did a nice little trick of his own to get around the problem. For the first apple, the boy used a strange maneuver to be able to reflect the apple right back him as he took his shot at him. Then letting his keyblade go and causing the strange weapon to disappear, he began to run towards his left side where the second apple had gone. At first Deshi thought that perhaps the boy was going to miss the apple as there was no way he could get to it without extra..oh! Deshi saw the keyblade reappear in the boy’s hand and he used the extra reach to bump the fruit upward and then spike the ball downward towards him and his goal. Now, all this was good since both apples despite their directions were coming for him. It would be a simple matter of uh-oh.
The third apple had appeared on his opponent side of the field and began bouncing around just as a large watermelon appeared on his side. As the watermelon began to bounce about becoming quite a large distraction, Deshi heard a distinct sound of something being summoned and looked quickly in the direction of the sound to see a third net appear and block the right side of the field as it headed towards his opponent. It was high enough to make bumping hard to do on that side, but also making planning what to do next a bit tricky. On top of this, he caught a second watermelon appear on his oppnonet’s side of the field making a total of five fruit with all together and three of the five were on his side of the field! Wonderful. His scan of the area was quick and then he was in action thinking as he began to move.
Since one apple was aimed at him and the watermelon was indeed the bigger fruit and happened to be in the prime position right now, he used a powerful swipe to shoot the watermelon at his opponent, making sure to aim it towards the left to give it an odd angle to come from and avoid the random net on the right side of the field. He was also sure that when he shoot, the watermelon it would ram into the apple shot at him and hopefully either crush, knock the thing off course, or send it right back at the opponent giving the kid on the other side a apple and a watermelon to deal with at once. In any case, the watermelon became his shield and now on its way to the other side. Whatever happened he hoped that the larger fruit and apple would be enough for one of them to hit the kid and maybe even stun him if it was the larger of the two. If this plan failed, he’d adapt.
As he thought this, he continued to move running to meet the second apple that was almost at his goal. In the nick of time, he dove for the apple batting his sword like a tennis racket to knock it away. While the move did indeed block the apple from entering the goal--just barely-- the fruit was only caught by the tip of the sword so now it was making a wobbly path towards the opponent’s side of the field. After the move had been done, Deshi hit the ground as gravity took over and finished his dive for him. Barely making any sound, he got to his feet not feeling any pain as he shook the fall off and focused. His moves were not the most graceful of moves, but at least now he had a brief breather to see just how good the boy was. After all, five giant fruit were on his side of the field with at least two hopefully going towards him and the apple that was going its own wobbly way not really aimed for the boy or the goal. Maybe he'd get lucky and the stray would go in. Anyway, surely one person couldn’t handle all that chaos without something getting in the goal, right? Also, what about that random net that was heading over there to give his opponent more trouble? How would that play into the boy's thinking?
Deshi knew if it were him, he’d be having trouble, but Deshi was himself and while he was quick, he could only do so much. Maybe his younger opponent had something else up his sleeve. It was hard to tell. So wishing his opponent luck, he took the brief moment to catch his breath. As he did this, his ears picked up on the sound of another fruit being released on his side of the field. Just how many of giant fruit could fit in this small area?

So the attacks had no effect really. Lucius had to find a different way to get in. I had to do something tricky. Lucius's opponent was quite clever though. He saw a watermelon fly over and hit an apple that began to go straight towards his goal. Two could play at that game. He ran off, away from his goal slightly, towards and apple on the slight left of his field(right for Deshi) and used a shooting move against an apple on my side of the field to intercept the fruit coming towards mine. Lucius then burst out in speed and appeared next to the watermelon around the middle of the field, the one his opponent recently tried to hit towards him, and bumped it up and shot it straight at his opponent.

How on earth? Deshi thought as a slight frown of confusion crossed his face at what he saw. There were a total of five fruit on the field, so when he shot the watermelon towards the boy and knocked the apple away, he was for sure that at least one fruit if not more would go into the goal, but none of that happened. No, in fact something quite strange happened. When he knocked the watermelon towards his opponent causing the large fruit to hit the apple and carry it over, the boy hurried over to an apple on his side of the field and used it to block the apple that had gone off course, then using speed he bumped and shot the watermelon headed towards him back at Deshi.
…….
Okay. That didn’t make sense and neither did things that followed. While using an apple against the wobbly apple was a smart move for it indeed did knock the stray apple away causing both fruit to bounce around randomly, adding to the chaos of the constantly growing fruit salad, what didn’t make sense was the watermelon move. While his opponent was indeed fast and could intercept the large watermelon, how on earth did he dodge the apple that came with it? He completely ignored the tag along fruit as if it did not even exist. On top of that, there was the matter of the other fruit lazy bouncing around. How didn’t he see or attempt to deal with them? It was truly mind boggling what was happening, but Deshi didn’t let it distract him for too long since now he had problems of his own to deal with. The ignored fruit bouncing around were now coming his way along with the watermelon that was traveling faster than the others. On top of this, a pineapple appeared on his side of the field and another on his opponent side.
So now there were 7 flying fruit! Okay. Okay. Don’t panic and take this one step at a time. First. There was a the sound of something vanishing, but thanks to the fruit bouncing around Deshi couldn’t see what it was, but assumed that it was the random net that had appeared vanishing. Good one less obstacle to worry about. In any case, he had no time to linger too much on the sound before he had to make a move. Deciding to move out of the path of the watermelon, Deshi headed towards the right side of his field where most of the fruit were gathered. Using a wide upward swing he bumped into the air two fruit--an apple and a watermelon--before using the larger of the two to send both right back at his opponent's goal. The fruit went wide thanks to the strike and in different direction, but Deshi didn’t care as he ran towards the two apples and the pineapple on the other side of the field. As the pineapple bounced upward, Deshi leaped up and did a twirl to whack the pineapple towards his opponent's goal in a curved fashion. As the pineapple spun about, it knocked into the two apples scattering them back towards his opponent’s side of the field, leaving the blonde boy with five wildly flying fruit coming from a variety of directions towards him and his goal. On top of this, the boy had a pineapple of his own to deal with, so how would he deal with this dilemma?
As for Deshi’s side of the field, he had kept it cleared once more, although he did hear the buzz from the watermelon he had avoided earlier entering his goal and the distinct sound of yet another fruit appearing. He wondered just how this game would end.

There were so many fruit incoming at Lucius that he though he would simply get crushed by the trample of the flying giant fruit. He had to defend against this somehow, he couldn't just stand back and let it all score. Five fruits flying around on his field. This was simply not pleasant. "Maybe I should just quit my job in Traverse Town... These fruits are obviously going to scar me for life." Lucius thought to himself. What would he have to do? Five fruits of all different shapes and sizes coming at his goal. He could just let them all by but what would be the guarantee that he would be able to catch back up in points? Lucius had to at least try and save the goal a bit from the incoming doom.
3 apples, a pineapple and a watermelon. These just seemed like it was a disaster. One fruit salad gone HORRIBLY wrong. As the watermelon came in first Lucius pulled back Caelo and swung at it with an arc, The watermelon curved off, hitting an apple on Lucius left that wasn't to far away, The two fruit being sent straight at the net, a gap in between the two. and the second apple flew into Lucius's goal. It was inevitable. You could only block perfectly for SO long. Now his worry was another apple coming towards him with a pineapple. Oh wonderful pineapples. Lucius dashed to the side of the pineapple and swung another curve that went off to the side of the field, with its curve it went off and hit the apple, the apple simply bouncing away, staying on Lucius's side of the field while the pineapple was swinging around toward his opponents right side of the goal. Not having enough curve to go into the goal but enough to hit the border and the trajectory to scare the opponent.

How could one keep up with so many fruit? Seriously, look at that chaos! What did we have here before the addition of more fruit? 3 apples, a watermelon, and two pineapples...okay. Now, after making his moves and sending the chaotic fruit to his opponent’s side of the field what happened? First, he noticed that an apple appeared on his opponent’s side of the field and another appeared on his side of the field too. So that made the number of apples rise up to 5. Why? Why so many apples?! Anyway, besides the bouncing apple off to the side, Deshi saw that his opponent had decided to deal with the watermelon by whacking it in such a way that it curved off to the left, hitting an apple on its way over. As the pair collided, they made their way back towards Deshi side of the field in a wobbly fashion to join the apple already lazy bouncing about. His mind took note that the whacked pair were heading towards his goal before it focused on the next thing to happen.
Next, there was the distinct buzz of a fruit going into his opponent's net, letting him know that he had finally made a goal and from the looks of it they were apple short, so that was what must’ve gone in. After the buzz, his opponent was making another move. This time he was moving to the side of the whirling pineapple hitting it with a second curve shot causing the pineapple to come back towards him. On its way back, it bumped into the apple, but thankfully the apple did not come over. All this was taken in, his mind slowing time down for just a second so he could comprehend what was going on. Then time was coming back to its regular speed as Deshi thought fast on what to do.
If he had followed this all correctly, there were currently seven fruit on the field. Two apples and a pineapple were still bouncing around his opponent’s side while two apples, a pineapple, and a watermelon was on his side of the field. The most threatening of the fruit were the watermelon and apple heading for his goal from the left. So moving quickly, he ran over to the randomly bouncing apple and shot it as hard as he could towards the watermelon and apple. The fast moving apple had enough force behind it to send all three fruit rushing back towards his opponent at various angles that would be a bit tricky to get around when three other fruit were currently in the way. With luck maybe the wildly flying fruit could hit the other three and make even more trouble for his opponent. It was hard to say what would happen. After all, his opponent took well to what had been thrown at him thus far.
Anyway, Deshi was happy that all fruit except one was now on his opponents side of the field. Content, he turned to deal with the pineapple; however, his time to face off with the large fruit was up and instead he had to pay the price for protecting his goal. In the time it took to use the apple to protect his goal, the pineapple that had been curved towards his goal had bounced off the edge of the goal and being repelled came right for Deshi. Being distracted for a second, Deshi didn’t see the fruit coming back until it was too late. With no time to block, the pineapple bounced, arced, and then whacked Deshi so hard across the head that it made his world spin. He didn’t feel pain, but that didn’t stop the effect. Dizzy, Deshi swayed back before losing balance and collapsing to the ground, ending in a kneeling position on one knee on the ground. After the blow had been made, the pineapple bounced lazy across his side of the field as another fruit appeared....

The fruit were coming back. "I can't handle this much fruit...I think after today I won't look at another fruit the same way." Lucius said out loud, not even able to think, that much astonished by the whole fruit facts. Planning out this defense seemed a bit easier however, thankfully only three fruit were flying at him this time.
Lucius dashed to the center of his gate and put Caelo in his right hand quickly and counted the the moments. Lucius was practically standing inside his gate, watching the watermelon. He knew what he must do. As the watermelon got close enough Lucius pulled back and swung Caelo, shooting the watermelon out straight towards his opponent's goal and the two apples coming with it were rebounded, bouncing towards the ends of the field, bouncing off the walls and now going roughly towards the other goal, each apple which was hit by the huge watermelon went to the left and right side. Lucius then quickly ran over to the left side of the field and bumped an apple on the left side and shot it straight towards the goal, mainly going for at least two points. Lucius then quickly ran to the middle of the field, waiting and watching for what would happen.

Deshi was still slightly stunned when the watermelon with whooshing by and entered his goal with the distinct sound of buzzing that let him know a goal had been scored. He shook off the rest of his dizziness and got to his feet quickly as he took in the situation. So the watermelon had entered his goal and had apparently knocked two apples over to his side of the field on his way over. Both were bouncing off the barrier and coming back towards his goal from different angles. On top of this, a third apple was coming his way from the left and another pineapple appeared on his side of his and his opponent’s side of the field. As for that fourth apple, he saw it bouncing lazily onto his side of the field to add on to the chaos that he already had to contend with.
Alrighty then. First to make up for lost time. Seeing, the two apples coming from the left, Deshi moved over and swung his blade out horizontally so that he whacked both fruit off their course and back towards his opponent's side of the field, not really aiming them. The twin apples flew wildly towards the opponent and his goal as they went on their path. As the pair flew, the left one clipped the lazily bouncing apple causing it to drift back over to his opponent side of the field as the one that had hit it began to wobble as it continued its path. He wasn’t sure if any fruit would make it into the goal, but at the moment didn’t have time to care as he quickly moved towards the pineapple on the left side of his field and positioned himself in such a way that when he whacked the large fruit at a strange angle to give it a spin, it almost appeared as if he had lost his mind. The pineapple wasn’t knocked towards his opponent or his goal. Instead, it was whacked directly towards, the apple heading towards his goal and the other lazily bouncing pineapple on his side of the field. The spinning fruit was able to intercept the apple knocking it back towards his opponent's side of the field in a wobbly fashion, collide with the other pineapple causing it to bounce wildly towards his opponent’s side of the field before it hit the barrier curved and began to make its own way over to the opposite side.
In the end, Deshi never aimed directly at the goal or his opponent. Instead, he choose to send 4 apples and two pineapples over to his opponent. All six fruit were going at different angles and speeds in a chaotic fashion made even more confusing thanks to the extra pineapple bouncing around on his opponent side of the field. Maybe through all the confusion he could make a few goals and if not he could adjust….His thoughts paused for a moment as movement caught his eye.
He watched as the pineapple that had knocked him silly earlier drifted lazy in front of him as the sound of yet another fruit appearing was heard. Okay…maybe….maybe he could adjust.
