I am Lilo Pelekai and I’m judging the match between Blackout vs. Aerynn. Facts|Style|Sportsmanship System
Facts:
What an interesting match. While the Western theme in a previous match amped up the bass, the caverns dragged out this match with the increase chances of evasiveness. I need to bring snacks to these things; the anticipation gives me the munchies.
Honestly neither really utilized too much of their skillsets; it’s as if with the new environment change it enforced more creativity with wits to corner one another into a ‘checkmate’ rather than dishing out all the juicy attacks.
Aerynn did however utilize her key advantage, her wings, to mask herself and fly amongst the bats for cover, which was pretty obvious to Shiro to ‘clip’ them per say. Again technology is really giving other’s the edge. [Tie] Style:
The control of the battle was hard to tell when it all comes down to reacting and waiting. It’s as if the stakes heightened as one prolonged to evade the other, whiiile the other hunted. It just makes you wanna hurry up and take the kill!
But I must admit a lot of the gruntwork was on the mouse to find other avenues to last in the round, while getting a few licks in before you know taking a bullet to the wings.
But it’s hard to tell since the endings blew my mind like Kadooosh BOOM! I guess nothing else say ‘quick thinking’ then a rock to the head with a date with like Shank Shank the knife. Still I will highlight that a sword to the shoulder and voluntary drowning takes me back to Mortal Kombat fatalities.
[Aerynn]
Sportsmanship:
This round displayed great sportsmanship and even an exchange to take hits. From observation…and by simply knowing, there was a lot of communication in play with this round even when structuring closing posts for either character.
As a note, the lack of Shiro’s sword in Aerynn’s post was requested by Shiro, so from a quick glance how fishy that was for it to be opt out it’s a-okay since it was discussed.
IC wise, >:3 GO LICK YOUR WOUNDS!
[Tie]

Facts|Style|SportsmanshipSystemFacts: I admit, it was definitely not a full on physical match. It was an interesting battle of whits. The chess reference fits in rather well. There wasn't much of a fight here. Shiro had attacked more often and had seemed to do the most damage. He had shot her, hit her with a knife, vibrations, headbutt. If you bring the two final posts into factor, Shiro's post leans in his favor while Aerynn into her own. Soooo, I left those out of this section. I believe that Shiro did the most damage and made the most out of his actions. *thumbs up on the chess references* You should have said check-mate or king me whoops, that's checkers!. [Shiro]
Style: The style here was amazing. It was certainly not your typical match. There was some fun and interesting elements that made it a blast to read. I rather enjoyed the ending post collaboration.
Aerynn, however, hid most of the match. In my opinion, Shiro certainly lead the match. He had Aerynn on the run majority of it. He'd caused the echo that bothered her ears. Aerynn was defensive while Shiro was offensive. Nothing was extremely out of the ordinary. The hardest part was trying to take both of the final posts on their own as part of the review. Honestly, I didn't include them in this section the review for the fact that both give the poster an edge.
I did find a few parts a little iffy, but they seemed to be discussed and talked through. So, it was fair on that aspect. I kinda found the throwing of the knives and the roll a bit fishy seeing as I still don't get how Shiro saw her in the darkness. But that's me. Aerynn used the terrain better. But, Shiro led the match and kept it rolling. Aerynn was reacting most of the time. [Shiro]
Sportsmanship: In all honesty, I have to give this section to Aerynn. It impressed me how well she played on the cavern. She used bats from the cave, moved around the rocks. I like that she knew when to quit and flee. She was a good sport and definitely deserved this.
My favorite part was how two members both collaborated on each others final post to have two different endings. Reminded me of all those "CHOOSE YOUR OWN PATH" books I read as a kid. I really enjoyed that and I give props to both members for that. It certainly made me smile. This was a fun one to read. I honestly would have loved to read more. I have a feeling Aerynn might have done some serious damage had she had another post before the finishing alternative endings.
Also, *hurts Shiro for four actions!!!* >~<# <3[Aerynn]

Facts|Style|SportsmanshipSystemFacts: Battle, as with anything requires two opponents. Given the fact it is a coliseum battle one must prepare to face an opponent, but the majority of the starting posts was playing cat and mouse and the mouse hid too long while the cat tried to lure it out. In a slow paced thread it is all well and good, but it carried a pause a bit too long. Though one at least tried to strike the other first. - [Blackout]
Style: Both fighters had their own unique style. Ground versus Aerial. Both were skilled with close quarter combat as well, but in the end because the Aegyl only used close ranged abilities and took advantage of the darkness, Blackout took advantage of both skillsets he had and aggressively took charge of combat. - [Blackout]
Sportsmanship: They fought well together as players, but their characters had a very strange, abiding relationship in terms of their chess game played during the match. They fought hard and did not stoop to any underhanded tactics. They flowed well together. - [Tie]
In the end, due to overcoming 2/3 brackets I feel Blackout is the overall winner of the match
