| ❤ I don't want the future. I want the present to stand still. I just want to stay here with you ❤ |
It certainly was a beautiful town. Rinoa could not deny that sometimes there was beauty in moments like these. Back home on the dark hills of Galbadia the city was always in near, perpetual darkness. If it was not the heavy clouds that were beckoned to the fields by the mountains beyond, than it was the shadows cast by the tall buildings and dark nights that seemed to last longer than they should. Most mistook the Capital City of Galbadia the only standing presence on the Western Continent, but traveling out you would come across the Town of Winhil and the Desert Prison.. Timber was an unfortunate victim of Galbadia’s presence on the continent. Great forests used to fill the empty plains with life, but thanks to Vinzer’s role as a leader there was naught left by a tiny patch of woods that provided the few remaining owls and monsters with homes, leaving free deadly Ochu and mutated Geezard to roam. Their power stretched from the dark plains to the sun scorched deserts. Being anywhere that was not Galbadia was paradise for Rinoa. If this world of Twilight wanted to remain frozen in that span of time, so be it. It was beautiful and peaceful. There was no war, no fear of it. Rinoa could see these people lived without soldiers on every street corner or military jeeps speeding down the highways, likely to take you out in the process!
Beyond the Vaulny Canyons say Obel Lake. For Rinoa this had been one of her most favored spots in all of Galbadia. It was the last place of peace she could find that town by war, strife or man’s greed. Just knowing there were were wolds like this -- tore her heart! Yes, this place was without soldiers, but that also meant they were vulnerable. Without soldiers there may be no war, but without their protection, something far worse than war may come. She has seen the subjugation of the Timber people who had lost their rights to bear arms. Without military they had no means to fight, even with their combined wills. They suffered. If these worlds had no balance between peace and might, how could they survive? Rinoa was no fool, she knew that weapons were a necessary evil. Without her Pinwheel she would have never had the courage to fight, but now she suffered with her magic. So much power yet there was no balance, no peace in which allowed her to wield it so. Her magic was a terrible curse of power that no man could control, it was the reason Hyne had given it to women. Women were guarded, were protected. They would best harbor the magic’s power without succumbing to the darkness.
Looking to Gilgamesh as he proudly declared his victories she could not help but admire the strength he had. Not just the physical but the pride he had in his actions. He was a bit goofy, even clumsy, but he was strong. She could not quite describe what it was about him, but his theatrics aside: she could see the heart he held and the warrior’s spirit he embodied. She could not help but laugh. How could she not? Seeing Gilgamesh so happy made her happy! He was what it meant to move forward! Nothing seemed to get him down. And here she was with her weak, passing thoughts. She was so easily unsettled, but it was to be expected of someone who had been used like a tool under the wills of others so evil. Gilgamesh was a superhero! She clapped her hands together, causing Angelo to bark. The dog wagged her stubby tail, aware of the warm feelings coming from her mistress. It had been some time since Mistress was happy and Angelo wanted her to stay this way, but it was not always possible. Rinoa was afraid. Though she may have slept in the arms of Darkness itself, she was terrified that the monsters which go bump in the night would come after her again. Angelo stilled and looked to Rinoa. She noticed something wrong, but before her Mistress could be focused upon -- there it was again, in the alley. It was watching them...
At the mention of his gaining the weapons under the volition of his own power, Rinoa was set on making this happen. “I -- I want to be strong too!” She could not stop the trembles that suddenly encased her body.
Her arms wrapped around her body as she cried out, head falling forward in sudden despair. “I’m afraid of being so weak!” The pain of it had hit her suddenly, the memories of nearly killing her friends.
Closer the sneaky figure came -- closer still. Angelo began to growl and back up, her eyes focused on the strange creature, but if Gilgamesh or Rinoa were to look there was nothing there -- nothing there but a Barrel…. Inside of the barrel was the distinguishable form of a Heartless. The Barrel Spider was an Emblem Heartless, its emblem somewhere on the underside of its belly, making it difficult to distinguish until it was revealed and it was too late... ❤ tags: Gilgamesh~! ❤ powers used: n/a ❤ notes: The itsy bitsy spider...♪ ELECTRIC OF GS AND BTN

Ah this was truly what Gilgamesh liked to see! His words rung true to his companions and it seemed they were actually heard instead of merely ignored! It was already apparent that the girl had bore witness to the radiance of the great Gilgamesh, but even so there was far more things that the mighty swordsman had to show her! He had yet to draw his mighty blade and he had yet to show her his great and awe filled power.
Just watching him would only make him even seem even greater in her eyes! Oh he was quite looking forward to this and he had to resist the urge to quiver in pleasure. Somebody as great as him should be allowed to show off a bit once in a while shouldn’t he? It had been so long since he made a new friend, and it was odd too considering he did not actually fight this person to become friends. He expected great things for the future and maybe things would actually go along smoothly for once and maybe he wouldn’t be so alone.
He closed his eyes with a content smile that was veiled by his red scarf. Arms crossed he stood and awaited an energetic reply from his perky feminine companion, but oddly that response he awaited did not arrive. Instead of the youthful and spirited respond, he was met with one that quivered and shook. Opening one eye he stared over at the girl and watched her shake and begin to doubt herself. She was afraid, scared of being weak. Was this why she chose to follow him so easily? Did she really wish to grow stronger? She really seemed to want to with all her heart and Gilgamesh was starting to feel a sudden pang of doubt.
Was it right for somebody like himself to barge in claiming that he would make her stronger when in all odds the two would be running from those that best them? Did he have enough to actually help with an emotional plea? He thought about, but the answer would come instantly and surely.
Gilgamesh will do whatever he could to make her stronger so that she would rid herself of this self-doubt
The eyes of Gilgamesh stared forward at the barking of Rinoa’s dog Angelo and Gilgamesh raised an eyebrow as he stared at what the dog barked on about. Usually one would play ignorant to such a warning but having dealt with canines before Gilgamesh knew to respect their instincts. He would keep an eye out, but for now there was one thing he needed to deal with.
Unfolding his arms, Gilgamesh immediately used his hand grabbed the shoulders of Rinoa with both a firm yet gentle grasp. “Now listen here girly, there’s nothing wrong about being weak nor about being afraid! Heck I’ll let you in on a secret…even the mighty Gilgamesh get scared once in a while! You must use that as strength! You have to believe in yourself and use your fears as power! Learn from your mistakes and look to the future with a bright smile! You have the greatest of teachers right? So then that automatically will make you the greatest of students! You shall grow and become powerful! I promise you! So quit moping around! Tears are fine and all, but now is not the time for tears! There is evil afoot!” Gilgamesh exclaimed enthusiastically before pointing dramatically at the area Angelo was growling at. He didn’t exactly know what the dog was growling at, but he decided to go with it.

Rinoa sometimes felt the things she did were not enough to satisfy this unabating fears that lingered in the back of her mind. Bad things happened all the time, it was the coarse truth of life, but what was worse was being powerless to fix it. She wanted to be a hero too and not always fumble about playing the role of the wicked witch always spoken of in horror stories in Galbadia. Esthar had always been ruled by a sorceress, and the state had stood as the only ones to rival Galbadian power. Sorceress were the boogeymen that haunted the dreams of the Western Continent.
She felt as I'd she wore this heavy mask over her face that kept her weighed down, powerless. It was like watching as every wish she made twisted by a vengeful djinn into a horrendous, twisted nightmare from her original vision. But Diabolos was her vengeful djinn. With him she felt she could take on the world, but he bore her weaknesses to the salty ocean winds as if they were offerings of fruit to Hyne. She was never physically strong and her fitness came with the struggle of lagging behind everyone. It was no fun being the one running after the train during an escape and the more rounded Watts kept up with little trouble. She was always just a little behind everyone. But she kept try her best, even if no one believed in her or if everyone believed she had done enough. Her intentions were always good
Gilgamesh had put his hand on her shoulder. The man's warm fingers were hotly felt through her cooler skin. Funny how there was always such a stark, physical difference between men and women like this. Always so noticeable. Before she could bury herself against him inna hug, Rinoa never one to understand her physical boundaries with other people, something stopped her. At first it was like a voice in her head, Diabolos muttering in annoyance about one thing or another, but when Angelo barked and Gilgamesh confirmed it, the situation became clear.
Someone, or something, was watching them. Rinoa took a step back and looked to Angelo, who turned her eyes toward her Mistress and whined. Her stubby tail wagged before the tri-colored mix sat her rump on the ground and barked! Something was there. Rinoa followed Angelo's glances and moved to walk forward.
"A bright smile, huh?" She could not help but remember her mother.
She always wore a bright, unblinking smile regardless of her situation. Even when she was gone… it was a smile that Rinoa had seen on her face. Rinoa came into this world seeing her mother smile and watches her leave it with one. So, was that the trick? Regardless of what situation she was faces with she had to be courageous. Approaching the mouth of the alley she pulled her thin arms up as if ready to fight off her opponent. Her pinwheel was not set so it put her in a place of vulnerability. Angelo perked her ears and rushed after Rinoa with haste. The dog looked back to Gilgamesh and barked again! There was definitely an enemy hiding.
Rinoa trusted her partner, but there were sometimes things Angelo pointed out she could not see. There was nothing in the alley but darkness. Putting her hand on her hips she sighed and whorled around to face Gilgamesh. But when she about faces, the heel of her boot bumped the nearby barrel, rousing the ambush predator from its place. The lid of the barrel slowly lifted up, revealing the single, beady eye if the Pot Spider. In the blink of an eye its legs burst from the wooden horse of a structure. Raising the sickle like leg it would swipe at Rinoa's back.
The sorceress was sent forward, face nearly meeting the pavement. "Owwie…" She whined, glancing back just in time to see Angelo barrel-rush the Pot Spider and knock it over.
Realizing her position she scurried to her feet and dashes toward Gilgamesh's side. Angelo hurried to the back lines, her tail stiff and eyes focused on the Heartless as it bounced back to it's feet. Shaking in annoyance from the attack it would slam it's claw tips onto the solid ground, waking other nearby Pot Spiders Rinoa's face pinched back in guilt as she equipped her Pinwheel and locked it in place.
"Whoopsie." Was all the sorceress could admit to.
Her sense of danger was really bad… A walking calamity.

Upon his cue it had seemed that Rinoa had listened to his warning that he himself was quite unsure of. If this dog was right about any danger then Angelo would be quite the help in any travels. Sneak attackers would perish before their awesome might and they would be the ultimate team and…man he missed Enkidu. Either way he stood and crossed his arm like a concerned parent as he watched Rinoa walk towards the alleyway, watching her attempt to examine the area that Angel was looking at. It was almost like one of those scary movies where one of the teens would check a suspicious room only for some gruesome monster to pop up.
As Rinoa continue onwards, the sudden urgent barking of Angelo immediately made Gilgamesh unfold his arms and rush forward along with the dog. There truly was something there and if Rinoa wasn’t careful then she would get hurt. He stopped the moment he saw Rinoa begin to turn around, believing there wasn’t something after all, but in that mere second the enemy made its appearance and slashed his poor naïve apprentice and sent her flying to the ground. “Barrels?!” Gilgamesh shouted as he stared over at the barrel heartless and prepared himself. “Well then, they won’t be getting away with that! Let us pay them back in double! Let our first lesson begin!” Gilgamesh declared enthusiastically as Rinoa joined him by his side. Pointing his finger high into the sky, he immediately pointed it at the group of Barrel Spiders and narrowed his eyes in anger.
“How dare you harm my apprentice and interrupt my motivation speech!” Gilgamesh said even though he was kind of happy they interrupted because he probably would have ruined the speech by saying something stupid. “Now quake in fear as you face the mighty GILGAMESH and his Gilganites!” Gilgamesh said waving his other arm over towards Rinoa and Angelo. Dashing forward with the speed of a great swordsman, Gilgamesh opened up his palm as a sword shaped as a blue lightning bolt appeared in his hand. With a graceful slash, Gilgamesh dashed past two barrel spiders and stood with his back towards them. After 3 seconds the barrel spiders split in two, having been cleaved by the mighty sword of Gilgamesh. Unmoving and remaining in the pose he took after finishing the slash, he stood there for a bit to rack up the cool points before he stared down at his sword and immediately turned around and held up his sword excitedly as he showed it to Rinoa “Hey look! Its Zantetsuken! Zantetsuken has listened to the mighty voice of the great GILGA-BLEH!” Gilgamesh yelled as he was interrupted by a barrel spider that collided it’s head into Gilgamesh’s face and sent him flying back and land on the ground with a groan. “Not…cool…” Gilgamesh muttered.

The young sorceress looked to Gilgamesh as he seemed utterly offended by the Barrels' appearance. The cloaked warrior called out a herald of battle. He was ready for battle the moment it was offered in challenge. She was not surprised by his enthusiasm, but she was a little taken aback by their title. It seemed a bit silly, but it was no stranger than having to be called a Galbadian, or Timbernite, or even Rebelling Princess. It was just one more title, she supposed, to add to the list. Holding out her wrist the young sorceress would stand ready for battle. Though she could not quite recognize what kind of fiends these were, they looked an awful lot like Heartless and were most certainly a threat.
Without fear the warrior charges forward to face his enemies. If Gilgamesh could face his opponents, so could she! Slamming her palm down against her Pinwheel's trigger the weapon would release with a snap into the field of enemies. The barrel that had attacked her was deftly struck against its side. The Barrel Spider flailed and shuffled its long legs back into to confines of its shell. Rinoa looked over toward Gilgamesh as his actions obliterated the Barrels with ease. His swordsmanship was familiar. The way the blade curved and sliced through those thick shells of wood reminded Rinoa of a Guardian she once met. He was a great warrior with regard for power and strength. She had heard Squall had gained his favor with ease. She knew, had she met such a guardian, that she would have never succeeded. She had only bonded so well with Diabolos because he was tempt by her memories and her dreams of becoming more than she was.
“Look forward!” She felt her Guardian growl between her ears.
The witch turned her head up as the Barrel she had attacked regained its composure and popped out of its barrel once more and charged the witch. Rinoa’s eyes widened in surprise, Angelo barked, warning her of something not right. While Gilgamesh proudly displayed his might over Gilgamesh’s weapon, but he himself was suddenly overcome by another Barrel Spider. Rinoa pulled her arms close to her chest, the Pinwheel useless as such close range. With a shout the turned to hurry away from the scurrying, spindly legged Heartless. She began to understand why people were so afraid of spiders now! She had never been scared of them, now maybe she would be a little more wary of them! As she ran the witch miscalculated her step and would tumble right over the toppled Gilgamesh. Flailing her arms she would fall backwards and land on her back, knocking the wind out of her.
“I really find these Heartless things super icky…” She pushed her hands between her legs to push the flap of her duster down. Even in her biker shorts it was kinda weird falling splayed like that over a big guy like Gilgamesh.
The Barrel Spider that was chasing Rinoa clumsily clambered up to the fallen pair and sucked its legs back into its body, a strange hissing noise coming from it. The Barrel Spider was seconds from exploding! Angelo barked and tried to warn the pair of the danger, but honestly the pair seemed to be walking disasters!

Man down! Man down!
How dare the squirmy little barrel smack him in the face like that! He was so enjoying the retrieval of his legendary sword and then it was ruined by the body slam to his face. As he laid on the floor sprawled on the floor he thought back to the very moment he got the Zantetsuken. He recalled a group desperately fighting but that didn’t really matter to him because what allowed him to witness the fight was the rip in the space caused by Zantetsuken. It was like a divine gift, allowing him to catch the blade. He had thought he finally reached back home, but apparently he was in another world. Gilgamesh was not an ungrateful person however. With his might he easily smacked away the white coated cocky loser he saw and decided to help out the group that was there, a group that reminded him of Bartz and co the first time he laid eyes on them. The lead did look a lot like Bartz, but those two were totally different…though that Squall did have a cool gunblade very similar and yet totally inferior to his own.
There was something about Rinoa that bugged him, something that he was forgetting but couldn’t put his mind on. Just what it was…he decided to forget. All he knew was she was his trusted Gilganite and while he was on the ground Rinoa and Angelo was sure to deal with the opponent and finish them off! They were his companions! They were his students! With this they were sure to take after the mighty Gilgamesh! They were sure to take after all his greatness and-
“Shebleeeeeeeeeh”
Gilgamesh immediately cried out as his eyes widened upon the sudden weight that fell on top of him causing his to drop Zantetsuken. Surprisingly the girl was much heavier than Gilgamesh thought, but Gilgamesh would not say that out loud because he was quite the gentleman. Composing himself and ignoring the weight on top of him, Gilgamesh raised his head from the ground and watched as the barrel spider suddenly stopped as it let out a hissing noise that clearly told Gilgamesh that it was not a good sign. “Uh oh that…not good” Gilgamesh said suddenly looking towards Zantetuken which had slide away due to the collision. “whaaaaaaaaaa! This is definitely not good!” Gilgamesh yelled squirming around trying to get up in vain. Getting up was something Gilgamesh embarrassingly had trouble due to his clumsy nature with and with the added weight it only proved to be more difficult. “whaaaaaaaaaa I need something quuuuuuuuuuuick!” Gilgamesh yelled opening his palm “don’t let me down!” Gilgamesh said summoning forth a sword he was all too familiar with….the bane of his existence “EXCALIPOOR?! THIS IS FAR FROM USEFUL!” Gilgamesh yelled out in anguish as he tossed the sword away…but then a miracle happened for you see the very blade that Gilgamesh tossed hit the barrel spider dead on the head. Had it been any other sword the barrel spider would have exploded from the contact, but with Excalipoor, the blade instead tipped the barrel spider causing it to roll towards the other spider and explode. This explosion then caused the other spider to be weakened enough so that it exploded as well.
After numerous explosions Gilgamesh merely stared on at the scene and blinked a couple of times. “we won…” Gilgamesh said before suddenly pumping both fists up and down “Victory!” Gilgamesh said happily humming a tune “.....now can you please get off faithful student?” Gilgamesh said.

Rinoa had done many a foolish things in her life. She once tried to kidnap the President, and tried to trick a powerful and mighty Sorceress into wearing a magical suppressing bangle and even tried to bake. Each event had ended in disaster! But among all of her escapades she could easily dub this as her least planned course of action. At least all those other times she had planned out and failed trying, but this round she was not even given a chance to show her worth as a try hard. Ugh. Maybe failing when you had a plan was a bit more embarrassing. Oh poo! Rinoa was not okay with this! Her life couldn’t end always at the butt of her enemy’s jokes! The witch peered over her knees as the Barrel was about to make some sort of lightshow, she knew it! Well not really. But it could not be anything good when a bunch of wobbly Heartless made creepy noises like that. Angelo bounded around in a circle barking before she dropped down by Rinoa’s side in an attempt to protect her Mistress. Maybe Rinoa deserved to be eaten?! Oh maybe it was her fault for not listening to the signs that led up to this point?! Why did she skip breakfast today? It was alway the little thing that seemed to come back and bite the rebel princess on the behind. Her hands came up to her face to cover her eyes. Angelo let out a whine and pulled her paws over her muzzle as well.
The explosion would manage to take out the two Heartless with ease, showing off the Devil’s Luck Gilgamesh seemed to possess. The dust of the exploding Heartless spread over the field. When everything was quiet the witch peeked through her slender fingers, Angelo’s ears perking as she too poked a nose out to give a sniff of the air. A soft, concerned sounding murmur escaped her sensei as she felt her heart calm from the excitement of battle. She would likely never grow used to how suddenly combat began and ended. A stillness came over the air, stifling the dread with the calm the town seemed to naturally held. The twilight had been as quiet as it was when they first arrived, at least until Gilgamesh broke it with his enthusiasm. Rinoa swallowed a shriek and rolled onto her side and pushed back onto her knees. It was over?! Angelo stood up, her stubby tail wagging. The dog rushed over to her Mistress’ side and nuzzled her head into Rinoa’s body. The sorceress’ arms almost instinctively moved to wrap around the dog’s neck as she pulled her partner into an embrace.
“W-what?” She dumbly mumbled out as she looked around.
It all seemed fine… Reaching up to pull strands of hair that came to stick up in the scuffle the knobby kneed witch staggered to her feet. Her boots scraped against the ground as she managed to stabilize against gravity, ironic given her Guardian. In all honestly it had been her first time against Emblem Heartless, any Heartless really, where she did not end up running for dear life! She really had trouble with those things! No amount of persuading could get them to shoo and sometimes, well all of the time, they would catch her off guard, sending her into a panic. Unwittingly using her magic was way too dangerous and without time to set Diabolos, well she had no chance of using her Para-Magics, not that she ever had magic stocked for it, but it did give her peace of mind. She pumped her fists into the air excitedly.
“We did it!” Oh she was just as enthused as the warrior, even if luck had just been on their side.
The bright-eyed lass was not going to desert an opportunity to snatch victory from those mean old shadow monsters. She looked over to Gilgamesh and smiled, her eyes pinching up as her cheeks reddened. Lowering her head in a moment of shame she allowed her arms to fold behind her back and cupped her hands together. She felt badly that her curiosity stirred up trouble. It was not the first time, nor would it be the last for miss Heartilly.
“I’m sorry… and thanks. I’m glad you were here with me, or I totally would have been toasted and hung out to dry!” Though that set of phrasing was a bit nonsensical, she had heart to it.

“No need to apologies my dear for you did amazing!” Gilgamesh said proudly as he immediately leapt up to his feet with a great jump, spinning in midair before his feet landed upon the ground as he placed his hands upon his hips and let out a hearty laughter. This victory was definitely not the most graceful and they won it by sheer luck, but even so this was not the case for the mighty Gilgamesh. In his eyes the fight went a much more different way, filled with awesome music and awesome techniques that made the spiders cry as they were slain. Oh course one would cry for the spider due to the horrid beating they got, but alas evil never triumphs and justice always prevails.
Despite believing that this match was so amazing he could not exactly say that it was the perfect match that he was looking for. There was something missing from it and Gilgamesh began to think and ponder about it for a second before it instantly hit him. It was reasonable for this to have happened; after all it was not his fault nor was it the girls fault. It was her first fight along with him and if she wanted to be such a mighty warrior she needed to learn this important face. Of course this was something that might time for her to learn, but Gilgamesh had faith she might be a quick learner and it wouldn’t be difficult for her to learn it.
“Our battle was great but it needs more oomph! More style!” Gilgamesh said enthusiastically. “A true and mighty warrior must have a great and mighty introduction! They must let their opponent know what they are getting themselves into!” Gilgamesh said immediately twirled around on the tip of one of his feet before stopping, crouching and bending his knees a bit, holding his right open palm forward and his left elbow bent back as he pointed the tips of his left fingers forward “see? Something mighty like this! Together we can form the ultimate pose that will stun our opponents!” Gilgamesh said before breaking the pose and standing back straight “its something that we can work on…but for now we continue on!” Gilgamesh said turning around before leaping towards the Zantetsuken on the floor, picking up his sword and holding it out “Behold! Zantetsuken has answered! The legendary sword is in my hand!” Gilgamesh said proudly “With this sword we can cut a hole into the rift and traverse many different worlds, find different lands and see many new places using nothing but its might! We can leave this world and continue our lesson elsewhere….” Gilgamesh said happily, but as he continued to speak his happy voice began to lower before he turned around, facing away from the girl and rested Zantetsuken on his shoulder.
“I um…have to warn you though…the path Zantetsuken cuts for us isn’t quite sunshines and rainbows……the interdimensional rift…it’s a dangerous filled with darkness and all sorts of creepy monster are all about, roaming the shadow….” Gilgamesh said closing his eyes. “I wouldn’t blame ya if you chose not to go there…we can still travel this world and find another way” Gilgamesh said softly still thinking about the lonely and fearful times he spent in the rift. It was almost like this place was his home and even though he did get used to it he didn’t want anybody else to traverse that spooky place. “Though if you do choose to go then I assure you there is nothing to fear so long as you stick with me! At this point that place is like a second home for me! So long as you stick by me I’ll cut away all the darkness and monsters!” Gilgamesh said very reassuringly as he glanced over his shoulder at her, his smile being covered by the cloth covering his face.

She didn't know why, but Gilgamesh was inspiring. He did not let anything get him down. He was the complete opposite of Squall in terms of battle! She was sure if she has such a battle around her Knight he would have scolded her excessively! Not that he hasn't the right to. She knew she could be a little excitable, and by a little if someone meant completely reckless: that was the perfect definition for the sorceress. The Lion would have a conniption fit if the Princess threw herself into trouble without the consideration of her tactics, weapon readiness and let us not ignore he blasphemous ignorance of one's surroundings! But Squall worried. She made him worry. Even now she was probably worrying him not being anywhere easily accessible.
She had kept her heart on that place she wanted to meet him, but she continued to fins these passages to worlds either not her own or sometimes the same place. Whatever Diabolos was doing he was doing it in a roundabout way. The Guardian had told her he can only open paths to places her dreams open. She found it super cryptic, like Diabolos was some super villain and she was the super shojou protagonist meant to stop his evil ways! As much as it catered to the sight of a tiny girl in blue and a gigantic red and black djinn, Diabolo was a good Guardian that protected herself. She felt she could trust him. It was the same feeling she got from Gilgamesh! All warm and fuzzy despite his size and looks! Gilgamesh may be a bit goofy but his heart was big! His heroic pose had the young witch practically sparkling out the ears.
"Super cool sensei!" A team pose?! Angelo barked! "I wanna learn a cool victory pose too!" She threw her arms out to cheer on Gilgamesh.
The last time she tries a team pose it ended in disaster. Sometimes leaving Rinoa alone any amount of time with Sell spelled d-i-s-a-s-t-e-r. One cannot say who brewed up the idea, but it left about three injured (that poor passerby) and put an expensive Garden issued vehicle in the shop for days. Said vehicle was supposed to withstand gunfire.
She laughed a bit when he displayed his weapon. It seemed to be no small feat, but the witch did not understand why it was a bit deal. Maybe it was like Squall and Seifer with their Gunblades? They seemed to treat those weapons like people, but than again there really were no true Gunblade specialist in the world and those blades were key to their survival, in many ways. Without it the boys would have nothing to fight over, or fight for.
"I guess this proves you're strong." The way she said that, with a tone only a mother accepting a child's strange love for wild toads. It was without judgement and a pure acceptance of watching that individual truly enjoy themselves. "I'm proud of you sensei."
The warrior felt it was time to move on, but warned of the world paths that were drought with nightmarish horrors. She smiled at his words as he spoke and expresses the gentle feelings in his heart. Gilgamesh was decked out in a fruity outfit that suited a pierrot. He was loud and swung around enchanted swords as he bumbled across the battlefield. Even still his words were filled with such joy.
Never judge a person by how they look, but instead how they smile.
It was something she had remembered it was something her father told her once, at a young age. It was hard to tell if it was the Caraway's own wisdom, or something he shared with her mother, but it was good advice none-the-less. A person could be a giant, hulking sword otaku, but his smile always let you know when he was enjoying life. The way Gilgamesh's cheeks pinched at his eyes showed a pure smile. He was thankful to Diabolos who carries her through the dark dreams and into the world her sleeping heart desired. She was meant to find Gilgamesh.
Maybe he needed help just as much as she did?
Darkness did not scare her. She was no pure being or light or darkness, but she understood both sides well enough. She wanted to be a hero, but being afraid of your own shadow would so you know good in the business!
"Don't worry about me sensei! With you and Angelo what do I have to be afraid of!?" What indeed… "Lead on! To herodom!!" She cheered.
Then maybe one day they could find the people they had separated from. Returning to that place one's heart ached for was always reason to travel and adventure! ❤ tags: Gilgamesh~! ❤ powers used: n/a ❤ notes: To Herodom and Beyond!! ELECTRIC OF GS AND BTN

The girl before him was an emotional one, but even so Gilgamesh could commend her for her bravery that she held. Though his words of warnings were perilous, Gilgamesh was almost proud to see that the girl was truly prepared to jump into the darkness with him in order to truly get to their next destination. He had only been with the girl for a really short time and yet he felt a sense of pride deep within, a true sense of pride that only a sensei would hold when watching his student grow and do feats they never truly could do before!
Maybe he was exaggerating a bit when he thought about his benevolent feats but even so the rift did not scare him in the slightest now. The brave beings would now enter the rift and together they would be able to effectively cleave their way towards their path…yes…thing were getting much more bright in Gilgamesh’s eyes. He had a student, a student he could probably bring along and eventually find Bartz and co with! It would be perfect! All he needed was two more individuals to aid in his cause and he’d have a perfect party that would be able to band together and whop Bartz and friends.
Maybe he was just lucky that he found Rinoa, but that though would not make him falter! He could always try and convince that Shadow guy…but the ninja was far too antisocial and scared him a bit…regardless! Even if he could not find others Rinoa was good enough! They would be the ultimate fighting duo! Their adventure was to begin now!
In response towards the enthusiastic response of Rinoa, Gilgamesh lowered his blade “And towards the ultimate greatness!” Gilgamesh yelled out smirked as he tossed his blade up into the sky. With the blade spinning upwards and then proceeding to fall towards him, Gilgamesh caught the blade by its handle and began twirling it around his fingers before grabbing the handle with both hands and slashing the empty air in front of him with a might slash. Of course excluding the slash all the things he did was not really needed, but it never hurt to look like a badass, no, it was essential for a great warrior such as himself to look like a badass….it was one of the rules of cool after all.
With the slash cutting through the dimension before him a portal formed before the two, granting them access to the forbidden space that connected each and every world. Together the two would march and together they entered the interdimentional rift, hoping for the true strength and destination that the two desired.
