(This thread was on V3 and has simply been moved here. Below is pretty much what has happened, now all we have to do is continue from here. Posting order thus far: Tinkerbell, Rinoa, and then whoever comes next.)
Tink's Post
From the moment Tink was yanked from here world, she thought she’d never get back home. Thankfully, the first world she ended up in was Disney Castle where she was able to meet old and new friends alike…although the scene around them was not as joyful as the reunion. Disney Castle and the town around it had been in ruins when she first arrived, making the small little fairy feel sad at first, but when she found that Donald and Goofy were making an effort clean up the place, the small fairy’s Heart leapt with joy and she quickly joined the crew. She may be small, but the small fairy did her best to help the town putting her fairy magic to work as she did what she did best—tinkering. She fixed items and helped get bricks from one place to another. She was a fairy that had a passion for fixing things and helping others, so the hard work did not bother or exhaust her too badly. When the project was done, Tinkerbell had been proud of what they had accomplished and had wanted to stay in the newly fixed town; however, it would seem the dark portal from before had a different idea.
Like a gaping maw, it opened without warning right behind Tinkerbell. Hearing the thing, the small fairy had tried to get away from it, but just like before it pulled her in. Tumbling through Darkness, Tink was sucked through the vortex until finally she was twirling through open air. It took the small fairy a while to slow herself down and reorient herself with the world as she hovered in the air. As her world stop spinning and finally became a place she comprehend once more, the small fairy was shocked to discover where she was. As she scanned the area taking in the familiar landscape and smells, she realized she was indeed at home once more! Despite the dark air that hung like a choking hand all over the place, the sky night sky still remained clear and full of stars since the moon was not out. Doing a happy spin in the air, Tink flew towards the land below to begin her rounds about Neverland to see if maybe her friends had appeared once more, but once again she found them gone. Disappointed, Tink headed towards the water surrounding Neverland and landed on a rock jutting from the ocean’s deep and dark waters. As she sat there wondering why she had been brought back when no one was here, something white and shimmery caught her eye. Slowly, the small fairy looked away from her knees and out towards the water. As soon as she did, she was back on her feet in an instant, startled beyond belief.
There was something a few feet from the rock moving under the water, but there was something very wrong with the picture. Although the form the fairy saw was one of a mermaid, this particular mermaid was a pale white color and glowed slightly under the water. As the mermaid came closer, turning in a in an arc to go back the way she came, Tink noticed she could kind of see through her and the form did not cause any waves to stir. Speaking of waves, why was the ocean so calm and glass like anyway? It was almost as if time had frozen as a chilled air blew through the area. Tink watched the mermaid jump from the still water whispering and beckoning for her to come.
A bit scared, but more curious about this strange ghost, Tink took to the air and followed the mermaid. Over the dark waters and far pass Hook’s abandoned ship, the mermaid led Tink to a thick fog that sat unnaturally in the middle of the ocean. Stopping at the edge of the fog, Tink peered through the thick mist and could kiss what appeared to be a ship in the middle of the fog. It rocked in an eerie fashion in the fog that let off an icy chill. Tink stayed where she was, trying to figure out what sort of ship she was seeing.
“Save them,” a voice whispered from the fog, setting the small fairy on edge. Despite the fear, the small fairy felt the urge to go in there and help, but there was only one tiny problem. She didn’t have a partner or anyone to help her with the request. Sure, if Peter was here they’d dived right in no problem, but he wasn’t here…so what to do? Tink thought for a moment and then coming up with an idea, she nodded at the fog. Telling it she would be back with help, she speed back towards the mainland and began to search once more for people. With any luck she might be able to find someone to help.... even if they weren’t from her world.
(Okay, a mini quest thread. No rewards just fun. Posting order is determined by whoever gets here first. Also, if you have problems with the thread or wish to change the activity to something else, let me know. If not then here's the theme and away we go! Have fun guys.)
Rinoa's Post
It was sight-seeing time. Rinoa had only taken the Ragnarok out on one trip that that was the Blitzball tournament on the Spira and she was eager to fly the airship once again. She picked a day when she didn't have a lot to do at Balamb Garden to go for a little pleasure cruise. She hadn't intended to leave the planet all together but once she got out into the open sky the infinitely vast area of space called to her. Sure she could do some fancy flying in the atmosphere but there are many less possibilities of crashing in space. With that train of thought in mind, Rinoa pulled up on the controls and soon the airship was cruising along in the emptiness of space. Rinoa practiced her maneuvers and was actually becoming pretty skilled in piloting the large aircraft.
After some fun had been had flying around Rinoa decided to see how far away from the planet she could get before having to turn back. After a few hours she was still going and Archipelago was just a dot of light poking through the black curtain of space. But determined as she was she would keep going. The fuel levels in the Ragnarok were still fairly high and the reserves still sat untouched. After chatting with Cid over the comm system a bit along with a couple of other friends Rinoa decided to relax and simply drift along in space and enjoy some peace and quiet. She engaged the auto pilot and cut the engines. She didn't have to worry about anything hitting the ship or crashing down onto another planet while the ship was off because of the state-of-the-art early warning system on board the ship. Rinoa leaned back and closed her eyes simply enjoying the feeling of drifting along without a care.
It hadn't been that long since Rinoa dozed off when the alarms began going off around the ship. Rinoa awoke startled and looked around to see what was going on before her eyes rested on a planet visible through the front window. She wasn't crashing but the alarm that sounded was simply to indicate that the ship was approaching the planet. Rinoa looked on the navigation charts and saw that she wasn't even in the same system as her home world anymore. She didn't know how she had gotten so far away in such a short time but it wasn't an issue really, just a surprise. Rinoa considered returning to Archipelago but the beauty of the planet before her was breathtaking.
After a short debate Rinoa decided to touch down on the planet and do a little bit of exploring. She knew the dangers of doing so but she was also very well equipped to handle any threats that might rise up and if worse comes to worse she can always just leave. Rinoa touched down on the dark side of the planet and found a clearing not far from a large ocean. The airships light scanned the water and the forest underneath until she got a visual on the clearing. She landed and powered the Ragnarok. After making sure her Blaster Edge was securely fastened around her arm she lowered the loading ramp and took her first step onto this new and excited place.
This place was beautiful even though it was dark. She wondered what it looked like during the day and if her view from space was any indication is was simply amazing. She couldn't wait to the the sun rise on this exciting new world. But even with her excitement she couldn't help but feel like something was off. It was too quiet. Not this this part of the planet seemed to be particularly populated but she didn't even hear any animals or people, she didn't hear anything. She made her way to the beaches at the edge of the ocean and what she first noticed was some kind of wreckage. She could tell if was a ship of somekind but it wasn't anything like what she had seen. It looked ancient.
But that wasn't the what unsettled her. It was the water itself. There were no waves, no ripples, nothing. it looked like a crystal clear mirror floor that she could walk out onto and nothing would happen. The surface reflected the starry night sky perfectly and Rinoa simply admired it's beauty. But still, an ocean of this size would still have waves moving about on its surface. This wasn't natural as far as she could tell. She looked over to her other side and she noticed a fog the blemished the otherwise pristine surface of the water. If the stillness of the ocean wasn't natural then that fog seemed even less so but again she was new to this planet and she didn't exactly know how things worked here. Rinoa decided to not let the fog bother her too much and she layed back on the beach and looked up at the night sky. Could she see Archipelago from here? Soon the stillness and quietness of the beach coaxed Rinoa into a light sleep as she waited to see the sunrise before returning to her own world.
