[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,480px,true][atrb=cellpadding,3px,true][atrb=cellspacing,3px,true][bg=939d8f] You were that, foundation, never gonna be another one no I followed, so taken, so conditioned I could never let go
It might be hard to start a new journey... or maybe it had already just begun.
No truer words had been written on a parchment of paper, and had been neatly and delicately folded and tucked away into his pocket, before Sora had taken the controls of his gummi ship and blasted off into the heavens from his little island. He had no idea of any incoming darkness that was to wash over his home, but he trusted it was in good hands, and he could not wait there forever. That very letter nestled in his pocket was one of the reminders of his journey, that it was far from over yet, and the very people that had fought and sacrificed themselves to stop the terror from spreading across the sea of stars were left scattered and hurt in places unreachable for a very long time. Whether it was alone and asleep in a secret room within a castle, or waiting with fettering hope within a darkened realm, or like his letter tucked away and nestled within a human heart unknowingly. It was deafening the silence, and the chill of the coldness of the night sky that made one refrain from being alone in a gummi ship, but no matter where Sora went he knew he was in good company as long as he had the friends in his heart he held so dear.
He had just come from Destiny Islands after meeting a solemn but sophisticated young woman named Raine, who he had learned was a keybarer like himself, and she had asked him about the ways of the keyblade. He had asked her to come with him on his journey for a while, at least so he could help her find her sister and her home world of Ivalice, but perhaps he could bring her to Master Yen Sid to help her with her keyblade training as well. He supposed he would be seeing her soon enough after having made that question as he had invited her to ride with him in the Gummi Ship as well, and as the gummi ship rocketed through the darkness of the Lanes Between the special gates Sora had opened with the keyblade many years ago, getting Raine and himself to their destination would have to wait as he spotted an upcoming world. There seemed to be a distress call froming from the light of the world, in a clear beacon as the shape of darkness swirling around it, and Sora recognized the small turrets coming up from the biggest structure when dipping his gummi ship closer to the surface that it was Beast's Castle. He had not seen Beast in the longest time, and while he hoped for a joyous reunion with the Prince of the castle with his curse lifted and a blushing bride by his side, such joyous reunions were going to have to wait if calamity had somehow struck the world so drastically and his friends needed help.
He lowered the gummi ship and parked it in the Forbidden Forest, just behind the treeline before the path to Beast's Castle. If Raine were soon to be with him in what manner she had chosen to travel, he would soon be explaining to her the reason why they were here, although words didn't have to explain to her the nature of the boy's heart seeing a world engulfed with smothering darkness. The castle gates were left open askew, and Sora made his way briskly inside in a slow jog, taking a walk across the Bridge that crossed a very large chasm for a moat. He remembered his climatic battle with Number III of the Organization here, the man named Xaldin, and his and Beast's struggle to defeat the villain before watching him fade to darkness before his very eyes. But it wasn't this memory that made him slow down in his tracks, nor the unseen whispers of the chilling winds between the trees of the shadowy woods Sora had left behind; something wasn't right. Something, or someone, was here. Sora stopped at the end of the bridge closest to the stone courtyard which eventually lead to Beast's Castle, which one could see the wide expanse of pavement and wicked statues of ferocious animals before a looming and menacing castle before them.
He had paused to open the gates there, which took some effort, but they were nothing a keybarer like himself could not pass through. He walked through the courtyard, up the steps, and pushed open one of the front doors to poke his head inside. "Hello? Hey, Beast? ... Belle? Lumiere? Cosworth? Mrs. Potts?" he called for names... but no-one responded. He repeated this as he went through the castle, once again exploring all the rooms, and if he happened to have any company with him in the form of his friends then he would have basically given them the grand tour... unchallenged. Where was everyone, he wondered? Beast's Castle definately was not an abandoned one, and concerned, he returned back to the Courtyard in dismay. The only option was to check the Courtyard and the Bridge again... maybe while he was in a room he had happened to pass them, and so retraced his steps back to the Bridge until he had passed the front gate again.
Sora swept his eyes over the front square within the castle walls through the gate, then turned to look over his shoulder at the seeming bottomless pit that was the moat below, before completely turning around to look the way he came. It might have been how bone-chillingly quiet it was, or the way the autumn leaves swept ominously by that unseen wind across the length of the bridge, but Sora didn't have to have superhuman powers or have been a keyblade wielder for very long to have sensed that something was coming. Had Beast sensed this darkness, too, and gone to intercept it in the Forbidden Forest? But whatever it was was no longer in that forest, and he could see a figure of a silhouette far off in the distance, his fingerless gloves clenching into fists in the slightest anticipation. Was this figure the source of the darkness, or had a familiar face arrived with a dark wind unknowlingly at their backs? It was no trick of the mind as he heard the snapping of dry twigs and foliage underfoot, and out of pure instinct as the figure approached wielded his Kingdom Key, two hands wrapping around the silver handle as he confronted the unknown had-on. His friends... where were they?
(OOC: Raine, if you wanted to travel with Sora, you can say you rode with him in his gummi ship and accompanied him so Raine had a quick look around Beast's Castle; if not then I've written it up in a way where you can arrive however you like. Even Rinoa can come ride in Sora's airship if she's not borrowing Squall's Ragnarok while he's being applied for. This is gonna be fun, hope everyone does as well~)

Well, perhaps that was not the whole truth. Raine had traveled by airship often when she deigned in necessary to visit Bhujerba. One could not reach the Skycity without flying by way of airship. This was much more than that, though. Ivalice’s sky seemed so small in comparison to the vast universe the lurked beyond the windows of Sora’s gummi ship. She could finally empathize with how many of the sky pirates of her world felt when traveling the vast, endless horizon that laid before them. Was this what freedom tasted like? She closed her eyes for a moment, leaning her head against the cool glass. It was a word she had sought the meaning of for the past few years, finding it more elusive than the meaning of life. It was something that could be stolen so easily and found just the same. Freedom was whatever the person wished it to be. Perhaps it was this that would eventually guide her home.
All she wanted was to find the meaning of home for herself and her sister. She had seen and done enough to last her an entire lifetime. Such thoughts were for another time, though. Playing the weary and saddened soldier had never been her preference, so she would continue on. It felt easier with someone else that could empathize so well with her situation. Raine did not know how she would ever repay Sora for his kindness. Then again, he seemed the person to do such a thing for anyone that asked for help. He was certainly someone that everyone should look to as an example in being a decent human being. She felt very grateful to have met him. She had to wonder if she would find her sister in Rabanastre. Would Laine like Sora? Her lips curled into a small smile, wondering how anyone could dislike such a cheerful, optimistic boy. She should focus more on the matter at hand, though.
The smile disappeared from her lips as she sensed a rather menacing darkness emanating from some point. She leaned away from the window, looking to Sora with mild confusion upon her features. What in the heavens was that? Raine was unsure, but the younger male appeared to know just what it was. He had veered the ship from the course to her home to another world. She was not about to protest, because this matter was far more urgent than her own desires. The ship began to descend as Sora navigated to the distressed world. Was that what she had been sensing? There was some menacing presence that had her skin rise at the chill. Raine had sensed darkness before, and she had been surrounded by it for months. This was different in a way that fazed even her. As they landed in a rather dense, wooded area, Raine unbuckled herself from the seat.
The young woman hastily followed after Sora as he began to jog toward the looming and eerie castle. It painfully reminded her of the deadlands Nabudis had become. The wind was chilling to the bone. There was something menacing lurking within this darkened world, but she would follow Sora where ever he lead. She stayed silent as he paused in his step, glancing around herself warily. What was lingering here? She followed after her companion as he began to explore the empty castle, wondering where the inhabitants were. Sora had friends that lived here, and it worried her that no one was answering his pleading calls. Her heart began to race in anticipation for the battle that would be soon coming. If she did not count her skirmishes with the Heartless, then the last fight she had participated in had ended up with her nearly dying. Honestly, the possibility was not all that favorable to Raine.
“This is rather disconcerting. Whatever lingers does not bode well for us nor this world,” she murmured to Sora. She followed his example and summoned Ascention to her hand. The weight was familiar but still new. She had no wish to hinder Sora in this fight, but she certainly knew when there was a stronger opponent than herself. Whatever this presence was had power far greater than her own.

The air was rich with passion in this world. Very different forms of life compared to that of Pulse, the world she just came from. She wanted to say that this realm was innocent to the ways of war; though that would be about as helpful to a knave as telling them a sword was to cut. Ever since she materialized onto the coveted roof tops of this extravagant castle, the sickening purity of the land's serene nature was without a doubt an eyesore to the fallen angel. Every un-turned leaf from this so-called 'forbidden forest' held only a mask of malice. She could tell the people of this world had grown soft without being subjected to true darkness. A scowl on her complexion was a sign that she would aim to fix this issue.
Musing to her own thoughts on the coned roofs to the sides of the main gate was brought to a halt after noticing a strange vessel landing little ways away. It reminded her of the airships Ivalice's glorious history was famous for, but perhaps one that was designed by a mere child. She didn't need her clairvoyance to tell that it belonged to the warriors of light. Wherever the would-be heroes traveled, the glow from their radiant resolves and hearts traveled as well. It stood out prominently when two specks crossed the vast bridge and into the keep's hollowed halls. A trait that even the seraph wasn't quite sure on the reasoning for.
Her vision was weakened, but one thing was for sure. Those two had a very bright aspect to their souls, even if different in nature. This caused a rising suspicion to dwell in her. Her demon spies had spoken of beings who wielded weapons of pure energy. An energy as strong as their heart was and in the form of a key. The idea sounded ludicrous as it was, but these spies were not Shemhazai. Try as she might to gain more out of her servants, there were just hurdles you couldn't force any mutt to leap over. Altima found that the idea of losing to an item that unlocks chests to be pathetic, but they obviously had something more to them. It wasn't their eyesight though, as they were oblivious to the fact they passed her overhead when going through the castle's main gate. Such a shame what peace and serenity does to one's instincts.
She had decided to maintain her perch, wondering if the mongrels would re-emerged from their fruitless search. They did not appear to be armed with the usual equipment of warriors, nor did they exude the frailty of mages. Eliminating possibilities left only this supposed 'keyblade' wielders her spies mentioned.
"Chevaliers of one's heart and guardsmen to the creed of the light in a siege within a castle? The irony of this classic tale is insulting." Altima mumbled to herself, beginning an incantation under her breath. They were soft and angelic; eerily resonating to the ears of those within the castle's area.
Her mind reached out to her servants, speaking in the gaelic tongue and delving into the darkest corners of the abyss. The howls and moans of those who were condemned filled her mind, each begging to serve their lovely master. She was seeking two in particular this time; known for their combat prowess and there with her during the last encounter in the Airship Graveyard underneath Mullonde. Loyal to a fault, Altima heard their responses almost immediately. They would arrive to aid the fallen goddess momentarily. It was good that she had chosen two who were almost consumed in the ecstasy of bloodshed. She felt that having several pups at her side would be beneficial, especially because the light always had a habit of congregating at a moment's notice. Altima lost her life once due to underestimating the power of man. She would not make that mistake again.
Altima's angelic voice continued to chant, though now it was for a different spell. She rose to stand from her perch, now truly visible and practically gleaming under the moonlight's grace. Yet despite the angelic sounds and looks, her piercing eyes showed nothing but the purest of hatred down upon the keybladers. The fallen angel let loose killing intent to draw their attention and singled out the presence of the boy who appeared to be the leader. He would be made an example of first, and then came the woman who disturbed Altima's thoughts slightly. It was in nature, after all, to savor the better aspects for last.
A mighty push and Altima's pristine wings lifted her chanting self off the roof. Her crimson eyes did not stop staring at the young boy, even at the distance she was at. The crimson orbs that had seen life's cycle one too many times, and now held a public display of her malice for mankind. She landed onto the the top of a spherical roof, also ceasing the lovely hymn in a foreign language. Altima made a motion in the distance, which would be her pointing out towards the boy as if she were marking him.
Three lights fell from the dark skies at that point. Two appeared to Altima's sides and joined her in smashing through the roof of the Ballroom. The other enveloped her prey, with a little glimmer coming down as if it were the heavens bestowing a gift of sorts. Its glow was bewitching, and the wisp was harmlessly descending towards him; like a curious child. It did not stop its fall, and it did not lose track of the designated landing area.
In the extravagant halls was where the angel stood, along with her new escorts. One Eastern looking woman dressed in an attire common in a city with a katana, and the other as a blue haired battle maiden sporting a war hammer that should be unwieldy to one of her stature. They were her Ultima Demons in disguise, and ready to commence battle under her command. Altima rose from her position to see the grandeur of this ballroom, now with a new moon roof and bathed in a rain of angel feathers falling from the ceiling.
She would wait for them. The angel and her subordinates desired a taste of blood this evening, and did not want to be disappointed. Any target who couldn't dodge a raw Holy spell was hardly worth her time, but she had a feeling the boy and his companion wouldn't disappoint. They would come like the brave knights they are.
"And you will fall, like the mongrels you are." Altima spoke, rising up with her wings so that she would be able to look down upon those who entered from the center door. Her demons smirked in delight and anticipation.
Tonight would be a good night.
------------------------------------------
Actions Taken:
1.) Two Ultima demons in disguise have entered the fray! 3 HP each!
2.) Holy has been cast upon Sora!

Altima pictures who she wishes to call forth and they transcend the stars to appear at her side from a beacon of light. Altima can summon up to two non-Lucavi beings in one summoning. If a Lucavi is being summoned, only that being will come. Subjugation's cooldown starts after the summoned being enters the field. Each being, whether a fiend or a Lucavi, has a set amount of HP that determines their durability in battle. That HP is defined in the profiles through the "*" marks.
Example: A demon with tier two durability (two **) is equivalent to a 2 HP heartless. It will take two hits in order to bring it down.
Beings called by the Subjugation skill are called into battle to fight and serve as a shield. They do not fear the thoughts of injuries and death, as their morale is fueled by the guidance of the High-Seraph. As such, they do not naturally block or dodge attacks outside of skills that are defensive in nature.
Lucavi have a time limit in addition to the durability, but generally are far superior in power and ability to any of the minor fiends Subjugation can request. They will have a post-limit to how long they remain out on the field, as every Lucavi is unique in its own right (max. 4 turns.)
[Invocation]- Slow [Cooldown]: 10 posts (Starting after the creature(s) are summoned)
- Holy "Bright light! Shine down on the bloody impurity!”: White magick’s famous offensive spell. Altima singles out a target and marks them with a spectral spotlight from the sky. A glimmer falls and tracks the foe’s position until it reaches the ground. Upon reaching this state, a spell circle forms in its place (made of white light) and erupts into blasts of holy elemental magical shots. Once the glimmer reaches the ground, the spell’s eruption occurs at that marked spot.

There was no way to explain it, but Beast somehow knew. Even as he was barreling down one of the upper passageways of his castle, once—unknown to Beast—utilized by Roxas, and possibly by his own servants, Beast just couldn't shake the fact that somehow, in the pit of his stomach, in the ache of his heart, he had known something was coming to his small world. Even far away as he was, in some world not like his own and completely different in nature, Beast had known that evil was arriving on his shores, and he could not stand idly by while it was to occur. He couldn't explain the feeling, couldn't explain the sensation, could not explain the deep dreaded feeling. Belle was still there, left alone in the world and without protection. His servants were clever, but the deep darkness he could feel breeching his walls was too much for them, he just knew it. Yet even as the dread rose to his mind and he found himself muttering the name “Belle” beneath his breath, Beast knew that he wouldn't be alone either. What had occurred was much a blur to Beast. Emotions and instinct took over, but not in a rage or a fit of anger. No, this was determination. He would protect his den and his mate. He would protect her, his love. No way would Beast let them die while he still lived. No way would he let them be hardened so long as his heart beat. No possible way would anything happen to them, so long as his will persevered. It was why, whilst in a bright forest in some world he did not know, Beast suddenly brought his claws into the air, then brought down a dragging motion, cutting through the very fabric of reality, time, and space. His claws ripped open to show a brilliant light, a light not unlike Kingdom Hearts, one might perceive, and Beast barreled through at a full speed. He had wondered how it was he could open these now, but somehow at this point, it had clicked with him. This was nothing more than Beast's very heart guiding him to where he needed to be. He was a Beast, but he was still a loving person. There was love in his heart, and it would not let him stand idly by, unaware as his world and his charge descended to darkness. Truth be told, Beast had expected to find himself in a world once more being eaten by the darkness of Heartless. He had expected the world to be descended into the realm where no light breeched, and instead, he found himself in a world relatively... sane. The world was quiet, but Beast could sense the darkness. The portal of light had opened into corridors above his castle, passageways he perceived to be used by his servants. He did not know these, and he barely fit within them, but Beast did not let that stop him. His heart would guide him where he needed to be, and it did. He felt the drawing force down one path, and followed it he did. Eventually he came upon a damaged opened, perhaps opened years ago and not yet sealed up. Beast knew that was where he needed to go. And go he did. And that was when the Angel Altima would hear and see suddenly upon her the 300lbs of muscle, rage, determination, and love falling upon her. Just as Beast burst out of the corridor, leaping to the figure floating above his Ballroom, Beast Roared a roar so loud, so filled with love, that it shook the very foundations of his castle. The very trees in the forest billowed away from the overpowering roar. Wherever Belle or his servants were, Beast did not know, but they would know now to stay away, whilst others willing to fight the good fight would know to stay, and where to find him. For following the 300lbs of muscle bearing down upon Altima was the sudden crash of glass shattering, Beast's leap forcing them, should she be caught by his pounce, to smash through one of the beautiful stained glass displays and into the garden out back, some of which was returning to life by Belle's very hand. With luck, Beast had caught the angel in his pounce and would crash into both the edge of the balcony above the garden, breaking stonework, and then crash and slide into the dirt and grass below, Beast all the while if he had caught Altima clawing and trying to tear the angel limb from limb by clawing, punching, biting, and mauling. If he hadn't caught the Angel in his pounce... well, then Beast would be the one to suffer a blow to the balcony's stonework and then the rough dirt and ground, inuring his own self. Yet this was a selfless act of violence in defense of his kingdom, his prize. And Beast cared little when the safety of Belle was at stake. Ferocious Shout: Beast lets out a deep Roar to both send enemies into panic and to damage them from the sound waves. [Cooldown: 1 Post]

These flowers were beautiful. Who ever had been tending to these gardens had done an amazing job and has taken great care to make sure that these flowers bloomed as radiantly as they have. They reminded her a lot of the flower fields near the orphanage on her home world. That in turn made her mind's focus move to Squall. She hoped he was doing alright. She missed her knight very much but she knew that as long as she kept him in her heart they could never truly be separated. The sorceress smiled fondly at the thought of her knight. One day all this craziness would be over and she and Squall could go on with their lives.
Rinoa took her time in the gardens. After all she was in no rush to go anywhere. But it would seem that the peaceful silence was not to last. In the Ballroom there was a sudden crash and Rinoa could see debris falling from the ceiling through the massive glass windows that extended all the way up to the curve of the roof that now sported a large hole. She couldn't really make out anything else because of the dust but she could vaguely see what looked like someone with wings floating through the hole and into the ballroom.
Rinoa was certain that this type of thing was not commonplace here. Something bad as happening. She was sure of it. Just in case she needed to fight she Junctioned Tornado to her Elemental attack so her Blaster Edge would do extra wind damage in addition to the weapons normal damage and Waterga to her Elemental Defense to protect her form water damage. After this she cautiously made her way up the staircases up to the ballroom last window on the left side if one was facing the gardens from inside the room and peeked in.
She saw a woman floating in the middle of the room that had a pair of angel's wings not unlike her own when she entered her Angel Wing limit break as well as two other women standing on the ground below and in front of the angel woman. Shortly after a large animal burst into the room and immediately bolted for the angel attempting what looked like a tackle. Whether it hit or not she was sure that one or both of them would crash through the large windows and into the garden. There was something evil that she could sense coming form the woman that didn't sit well with her at all and considering how she entered the room she determined that this woman did not wish well for this place. Especially if she caused all that damage without even caring.
She felt the opposite from the creature. She could see the light in him and she thought that maybe he was defending this place. He seemed out numbered at the moment but he wouldn't be for long. Rinoa ran into the ballroom through the door leading out to the gardens and decided that she would help take care of the angel woman's allies. She cast Blizzaga at the woman with the katana in hopes that she could remove the threat she posed. The sorceress would do all the could to help win what she was sure would prove to be a very tough battle.

Raid #2

A large castle loomed in the distance, shrouded by the large, endless forest that grew in all directions. The massive moon hanging within the black sky poked out from behind the thick clouds from time to time, revealing one of the tall spires of the castle as a pitch black silhouette. Every time the clouds parted to reveal the moon and spire once more, the closer and closer it became. Soon enough, small, grotesque statues were coming into view of gargoyles and other hideous creatures attached to all corners, all flat surfaces of the castle. They must be in place to scare away the weary but clearly their purpose had failed on this day. Soon enough, the forest parted and a large stone bridge stretched across and deep chasm that ran a circle about the entire castle. A fine defense for any fortification, but this too was also unsuccessful in it's primary purpose. There appeared to be others visiting this world today and none of them seemed to be your ordinary, everyday traveler. Each of them were the ones in question being able to bypass both the lifeless stares of the stone gargoyles and the deathly drop of the chasm.
A sixth was added to the list, though the newcomer to this world stopped short of the stone bridge that crossed the chasm, the snapping of twigs and the rustling of dry leaves causing the figure to glance down at his feet. Brightly glowing eyes shot back up and pierced through the darkness of the night, glowing like flames dancing upon candles. Two small figures could be seen on the other side of the bridge, lingering next to one another just short of the main doors that made the grand entrance to this equally grand castle. What little light being produced on that side of the bridge allowed the new arrival to see that one of the figures was the 'Key to Everything' himself, accompanied by an unknown woman. Further auras of powerful hearts could be felt deeper back beyond the two outside, but they were of no concern. A smirk spread across the lips of the user of Darkness when a flash of light shone from across the bridge. A key, much larger then your normal house key, was summoned into the hands of the boy, only further confirming that this young lad was indeed the said 'Key to Everything'. Leather bound fingers flexed to and from fists at the anticipation of what was to come, but a question lingered in the back of the figures mind...
~Do you remember my name...?~ The silver-haired Remnant thought to himself, causing his smirk to fade slightly as he remember the last time he and Sora had crossed blades. It was back in Disney Castle, a long time ago. Twice, in fact. The first time was when a massive force of Darkness had split up to attack the Castle from different locations. While Sora was not facing the group the Remnant was in, his side managed to hold off the enemy. The same happened on the silver-haired youth's side. The Light buckled and their forces lost to the might of Darkness. Only a couple of warriors from both Light and Dark had the strength left in them to continue the fight... Sora, Gilgamesh, Valerius and Kadaj himself. It was glorious, but the Light managed to sneak in victory and claim the home of the Mouse King as theirs. No matter. Kadaj had only joined in to have some fun, he cared little for what the goals of the Darkness were. As such, only a short time after their win, Kadaj had returned to Disney Castle in hopes of corrupting the Cornerstone of Light and turn it into Darkness. Once more, the Key to Everything was in his way and once more had stopped him from having his fun.
~Third time's a charm, or has your luck run out?~ Pondered the Remnant as his smirk returned at this new thought. Who knew? One thing that was known however, was that Kadaj knew he was going to have a lot of fun today. He had only hoped that Sora had grown stronger since their last battle, for the Remnant Leader had and he wasn't afraid to show off what he was capable of. The wind blew by, picking up the leaves upon the floor and pushing them down across the bridge towards the Keybarer and... oh, the second Keybarer. The woman was one too? This was going to be very entertaining! So much so that Kadaj's smirk only grew wider, bearing his teeth in a sinister grin as he begun to move. One step after the other, he slowly, calmly carried himself across the bridge until he was on the other side. His cat-like eyes flicked from the girl to the boy and back again. His hands were shaking slightly. He was so excited!! "Hi!" The shattering of glass broke the gaze he had locked on Sora, causing the youth to peer off behind him towards the main doors of the castle. A shrug of the shoulders later and the Remnant's attention as back upon Sora and his lady-friend.
However, once more he was interrupted. This time from a light that fell from the sky. It was hard not to miss due to how bright it was and from the other auras he could feel within the castle, this was only a spell coming from someone out to spoil his fun. Not this time! Not when it came to Sora! Suddenly, Kadaj flexed his knees and pounced towards Sora and Raine. With no weapon in his hand, the Remnant Leader thrust out both his hands and aimed to take hold of both the Keybarers Keyblades. A second and a smirk later and Kadaj vanished into a cluster of feathers, Angel Teleportation
[/b] being activated. Hopefully, while being in contact with both Sora and Raine, they too would come along for the ride and all three of them would reappear in a second cluster of feathers on the opposite side of the stone bridge leading to Beast's Castle. If not, then they had to deal with Holy on their own, but should the pair of them not freak out instantly, they'd realize the favour Kadaj had just done for them. "Sorry about that. No one is going to take away my fun today. Shall we start again with the introductions?"Kadaj joked darkly, his smirk back across his lips as his eyes glowed brightly once more in excitement. [/blockquote] -=Cooldowns=- Angel Teleportation[/b] - 1 Post. -- Vanishing into a cluster of black feathers, Kadaj can teleport himself instantly across the battlefield. Useful for sneak attacks and to dodge enemy projectiles.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,480px,true][atrb=cellpadding,3px,true][atrb=cellspacing,3px,true][bg=939d8f] Then sorrow, then sickness, then the shock when you flip it on me So hollow, so vicious, so afraid I couldn't let myself see
(OOC: If you don't like being the damsel in distress Raine, then you won't be. I'll help you and you'll help me, so we'll fight together on equal footing. A boy helping a girl find her sister reminds me of Noel guarding Serah, but Serah guarded Noel just as much as vice versa, so let's work together okay? 8'D That goes for everyone, even you villains, everyone gets a equal share of this epicness. ^__^)
It was a relief to have Raine accompany him on his journey; ever since his last companions had left, it was nice to have someone else there to talk to in his gummi ship during the often lonely trips through the Lanes Between. He remembered watching her press her head against the cool glass, as if she was taking in every single moment of what it felt like to safely travel between worlds, instead of being thrown about like he had within the unfathomable darkness when his islands had been destroyed the first time. He remembered the smile he felt tug at his face, happy not just because he was helping her, but that she was finally taking steps to find her sister. And he remembered most of all that moment because like that moment Raine had in taking appreciation of the cool glass against her warm skin from the tropical islands of his home he had just left, he too was preserving that memory as a cherished moment, because he knew all too well in his travels how things could quickly go from a light, happy moment to the depths of the cold darkness by himself amongst enemies. A reason why he was relieved in the first place Raine had decided to take his offer to accompany him, not that he could not trust her to look out for herself, but that if herself had not been enough like encounters Sora had been in then she did not have to suffer and become isolated and in further need of rescuing - like the people that were waiting for Sora.
Back in the reality of the moment on Beast's home world, the cold gale continued to blow across the woods and into the castle behind them, as Sora continued to look ahead. There had been an initial twinge of guilt he had felt in delaying Raine's journey to her home world, as Sora had been there once before to seal it's keyhole and could recall where it was in the vast sea of stars, but he could not ignore a friend's home world swathed in darkness since Raine herself was already safely with him. If Beast, Belle or any of the other castle resident were in terrible danger, the remorse he would have felt would have been tenfold, even if his enemies knew this and were trying to draw the keybarers into a trap. And he supposed, maybe this was the start of Raine's journey too, and the beginning of her first of many world visits and friends she made? He didn't want to keep Raine too long from finding her sister, and so he told himself that every world they visited was one step closer to finding Laine, even if they never actually got back to Ivalice again.
As the figure came closer to them for Sora to make out, and as if to mollify the tense situation for Raine to help her remain calm, Sora decided maybe he should explain about the friends he promised he would help here on this world. He had this moment to look up briefly into the sky of the world as he recollected his thoughts; the wind seemed to have blown in cloudy weather, yet not typically stormy as it usually was when darkness swept over the world. It was hard to make out where the moon was, the cloud cover was that thick and vast, but Sora guessed it would have to be about just after midnight. The color of the clouds was a tinge of blueish-grey, so it was hard to tell also if the clouds bore rain that was about to fall, or if that was the color the filtered light of the sun was making. Comfortable with turning around to face her, and trusting her completely with watching his back without another moment's thought, Sora began to recite what he had been told about this mysteriously enchanting world.
"I know. But we can't just leave Beast and Belle to fight whoever that is alone. They need all the help we can give them." he answered her initially. Raine's manner of speaking was eloquant and some words for him hard to remember the meaning of sometimes, but he liked it, because it was very classy and unique of her character among her friends. "You see... a long time ago on this world, there was this enchantress. And on a cold winter night, she asked to stay in this castle, but the prince turned her away because of what she looked like. She warned him not to be fooled by that, but after he refused a second time, she turned from an old woman to a beautiful young one. The prince begged for forgiveness, but the enchantress decided to punish the prince, and cast a horrible curse not only on him but the entire castle and the servants." he explained, looking up at the castle, trying to imagine what it would look like without the spiky jail-like gates, or the terrible imposing gargoyles. He also wondered what all his friends here would look like, sans Belle, if the curse wasn't in effect and the prince never followed the cruelty and seflishness that had grown in his heart to that point. "There is a single enchanted rose within the castle, and if he can learn to love and be loved back before the last petal falls, then the prince will be turned back... from his transformation into a beast." he revealed, letting Raine with the intelligence even he could admit was more vast than his own, figure out why he had called his friend Beast. "That's why we gotta help them. If Beast and Belle can love each other, without anything getting in their way, then everyone will be happy. Everyone needs a little help to let love bloom, sometimes." he smiled, and even though he would not be there for it, he envisioned that day his friends could see that the spell would be broken for Beast to be happily with Belle ever after.
That part of the journey where he was alone with Raine finally ended, and their peaceful company as well, when the moon poked out from behind the clouds and shone down on the figure. Silver hair, black body suit, two-pronged forked sword. Sora turned to look upon the familiar figure and eased himself into his combat pose, Kingdom Key in both hands, and it was obvious to see even to Raine upon his furrowed brows he was not pleased to see this particular annoying individual at all. It was possible he could have heard Sora's entire story about Beast, but he didn't care, for it would not stop him from protecting his friends or that in which the prince held dear. "Kadaj? Not you again!" he exclaimed in disappointment, and knew from his previous two encounters with this creep that a fight was soon enough to follow. Fortunately, not because of luck but from his skill and experience with his techniques, he had managed to defeat this silver-haired man that reminded him so much of Sephiroth not once, but twice to preserve Disney Castle's sanctity.
The young antagonist had only said a mere "Hi!", but the 'Key To Everything' knew there were much malice and vehement spite weighed in those words and their tone, rather than the superficial and feigned friendliness they appeared to be. "What are you doing here? What is this, the... third time we've met, so you can challenge me? Or is it not enough you go after my friend the King's Castle, but now you're after this one, too?" he questioned, trying to ascertain the Remnant leader's motives from their last encounter. It was important Raine knew if she could not tell already that Kadaj was not the genuine soul he was coming across to be with his greeting, but before he could get an answer, the shattering of stain glass windows echoed behind him followed by a bright light from above that shone down on him like a spotlight. "What...?" he wondered, confused for a moment what it was at first, able to let his guard down enough for the moment to look up towards the sky to try to determine it's source. He could see some sort of fairy as it fluttered down towards him, but no sooner than he saw the glyph appear underneath his feet he knew it was some kind of spell, and before he could move to push Raine out of harm's way he raised his keyblade up to guard himself in reflex as Kadaj hurled forward and grabbed it.
"Whoa...!"
Sora had squeezed azure eyes shut, forcing them to open to see what happened after what he was sure was a attack launched by Kadaj, but took in his surrounding to realize Kadaj had somehow teleported him away along with him from an explosion of light where the spite had fallen to the ground. Kadaj's words registering but not acknowledged or answered to for the moment, Sora jerked his hand away for the moment to leave Kadaj holding onto the Kingdom Key's blade for a second's time, before summoning it out of his grasp in a flash of light as he stumbled back. He didn't care right now that Kadaj had saved him, or even why he had done so for the 'fun' he was talking about if the light spell had not been his own, his only concern at the moment was for one person and one person alone. He looked around concerned and wide-eyed, Beast's roar echoing in the background from the castle as if a bomb going off, looking for the keybearer that he felt guilt for having to protect himself first in order to have done anything from being severely hurt from the holy blast.
"Raine!!! Are you hurt!?"

Her chest tightened as a familiar panic began to settle in. This was not a simple skirmish with those troublesome Heartless, but a life or death situation that had the young woman nearly freezing. She despised fighting with every fiber of her being. Raine could not cast aside her damned blade no matter how much she wanted to! Her icy eyes leveled angrily on her keyblade for a moment, wishing she could hurl it over the edge and be done with it. A deep exhale left her lips as she shook her head to rid herself of the bloody memories. This was not the time to allow her memories to leave her disassociated toward reality. The last time she had lost her sense of awareness she had ended up with a blade through her shoulder. Not even healing magicks had been enough to rid her of the scar that still remained. What did it matter? Her scars were not what she should be thinking about right now!
She absently listened to Sora as she looked around their surroundings with a critical eye. Her long stasis had left her like an inexperienced whelp once again. No, she would not suggest leaving the denizens of this world to be at the mercy to whatever dark presences lingered here. Even if it was a sound strategy to sacrifice the pawns to save the king. Her lips curled into a scowl, wondering when she had turned so pragmatic. Was she turning into the very beings that had thought the same of destroying her own home? The thought had her stomach twisting in sudden nausea and discomfort. “And so the witch decided to punish the whole for one man’s misgivings. How very apathetic of her,” she drawled, shaking her head slightly. Those with power never failed to impose it on others whether for some perceived slight against them, or simply to enact domination on those weaker. So this prince that had been cursed was the Beast that Sora regarded as a friend. “A romantic tragedy brought to life. To think I once believed such whims to be nothing more than fairytales,” she replied with a sardonic smile. Raine was ready and willing to defend the denizens of this castle despite her sarcastic words.
Icy eyes glanced up at the pale moonlight, which soon highlighted it’s pale visage upon a growing presence of darkness. It was a silver haired male she had never set sights upon before now. Raine glanced to Sora with a quirked brow, wondering where the two had met before. The male’s gaze upon her was rather unnerving. His attention had certainly been caught upon the dark appearance of her keyblade. Once more, she felt that urge to hurl it over the bridge. Nothing but trouble and constant vexation! “Forgive me for not returning such a warm welcome,” she called back dryly. His darkness was almost like a vacuum that was entice to the young woman in a familiar way. She could recognize a need for vengeance in the male that she held herself. The loud shattering of glass had her looking behind her with wide eyes, wondering what was going on. A looming darkness emanated from the castle, and she lurched forward to go towards it. Sora needed her here, right?
A blinding light had the young woman shielding her eyes, but the magick behind the spell was all-too familiar. It had the energy she associated with her own spells. This was a White Magick spell that originated from Ivalice, and one that caused extreme damage if not dodged or countered with utmost haste. Her lips parted to call out to Sora, and her hand reached out to grab for him in an attempt to pull him away. Raine froze the moment she saw the male called Kadaj rush towards them. Her heart beat erratically against her chest, and she jerked back as his hand grasped Ascention. The contact was enough to have her wondering what had happened. Raine felt dazed as her surroundings fazed out of existence for the briefest of moments. The blinding light was gone before solid ground met her feet once more. The young woman could only liken this experience to the Teleport Crystals of Ivalice. She had hated those accursed things so much.
Her composure cracked, and she snarled at Kadaj, ripping both herself and her keyblade from his grasp. Anger burned in her eyes, despising him for saving the both of them for his twisted game. She was tired of playing into the hand of someone else! “Touch not what shall never be yours, peon of darkness!” she shouted, disgusted the cur had even marred her keyblade with his grasp. It reminded her too strongly of what she was fighting within her own heart. Raine viewed Kadaj with distaste, not daring to glance back as Sora called for her. Now was not the time for reassurances when none could be afforded. “I am unharmed as of now, Sora. We have this cur to entertain as he so graciously intervened on our behalves,” she answered coolly.

Her spell placed on the boy missed its mark, no small part played thanks to an outside interference. It was a bother, but not one that concerned the angel too greatly. The fact that someone else was around that perhaps knew the spell's visual cues was more infuriating. Ivalice had a very precocious spot in Altima's heart, and to think one of its denizens could possibly be here made her blood begin to boil.
She wouldn't be the only one infuriated tonight! The doors to the hall exploded open by a charge reminiscent of a rampaging Behemoth. His titanic form still very visible in the dark; becoming even more so at such a ferocious lunge. A roar that held a magical twinge to it bellowed in the halls. Altima had almost twitched an eyebrow at such a distasteful move, but her demon companions stood their ground upon the sound buster. It was a great shame to show any sign of weakness in front of their master, and Ultima Demons had a lot of pride to maintain.
This unshackled Beast seemed intent on doing more than just piping an abrasive squeak at her. Those claws and fangs held malice...malice that only belonged to the delusional thoughts common amongst light-walkers. Her disabled eyes could see it clearly. So clearly in fact, that Altima felt almost compelled to give this creature a slight ovation for having a passion that many humes could not achieve in multiple life times.
It had a purpose. It had something to protect. It had vehemence. It had something for her to tear out after she would be through with it.
That is why she did not evade the attack. She, the High-Seraph of Ivalice, feared nothing. Her blood thirsty eyes met the motivated ones of the Beast. The clash between red and blue, and the silent messages that were furiously exchanged in that lock. Altima did not break her gaze, nor did she drop her devilish smirk. She would suppress the creature's intimidating aura with one of her own, reminding him who was truly the alpha in this conflict! Her hatred for all life was now pitted against the indomitable will of one fighting to protect his love.
A tale as old as time....
[/style] | [atrb=vAlign,top][style=margin-top:5px; width: 90px; font-family: georgia; font-size: 10px; text-align: center; font-weight: bold; background-color: #680000; color: #f9f9f9; text-transform: uppercase; padding: 3px;]ACTIVE EFFECTS:[/style][style= color: b3b3b3; font-size: 8px; font-family: century gothic;] Cooldowns: - Holy: 1/3 - Subjugation: 1/10

The sounds of thunder, rain, and shattering glass filled the area upon the arrival of the newcomer. Whether it was Mother Nature's cruel sense of humor, the weather had turned foul at a moment's notice. The snarling of fangs and mid-air struggle of limbs began amidst the symphony of howling winds and pelting rain. Both were driven by a fury born from opposite spectra. Altima would laugh madly, condescendingly mocking the creature she was contesting in this suicidal throwdown. Her opponent, the Beast, she could feel the putrid stench of his roars. Almost lion-like, yet the bite it had was clearly more feral like! She enjoyed it this fit of madness!
Yet in his fury, the Beast was careless. He was a fool to believe Altima would fight him in a battle of strength on even terms. She knew it would be no contest if that were the case, as her scionic physical strength was not the greatest of the legion. The fallen angel was known for her mastery of magic and devious mind, but held inhuman strength that belonged to only the walkers of hell. No, she had met his tooth and claw with her cold steel! Altima had driven her blades in deeply and rended the creature's claw's flesh. These twin swords were her fangs, and they anchored in to create a painful wedge between bone and sinew.
Even with this dangerous injury, the Beast was not one to be underestimated. Altima could barely hold him back as they fought for dominance. Winces of pain from the struggle had appeared on her face, for she felt several claw attempts hit their mark. Her swords made sure that the more the Beast moved his claws, the greater damage he dealt to himself. It also acted as a form of puppetry, but the mongrel simply had more strength than she imagined!
This raw, undeniable hatred was spectacular! How long had it been, since she had to respect anything from the mortal world? Belias, Famfrit, and Hashmal were the last to force her hand physically. That raw, adrenaline packed muscle excited Altima. Aroused? Perhaps not in that sense, but she was ecstatic to see how she could break down such a force like the Beast he appeared to be! She continued to tussle with her hooks in the Beast's claws, toughening through the body shots the knees potentially gave and evading any bites.
The sense of powerlessness. She had wanted to teach it to this mongrel. Her eyes did not miss the blood that her blades spilled from the creature. It had a purpose after all. Fear was an element that was delicate and sly. This element creeped into you and drained your strength under its oppression. She wanted him to feel the strength he was once so proud of, wane under clashing arms with her! The longer they fought in the air, the easier she found it was to push him back. It was, after all, in the nature of an enraged animal to continue clawing at their enemy! This mongrel did not have the sense of a human, but Altima could not blame it. Humes also did foolish things when sent into a berserked state.
This struggle felt like it dragged on longer than it really did. Altima had continued to lock onto the Beast's beautiful blue eyes, showing the pure respect she now had for him. The respect of giving him a death worthy for the Beast he was! Rain had soaked into her platinum hair and the brown fur of her opponent, but that mattered not. She could have sworn time slowed during one of their tumbles mid-air, and maybe had grown senile enough to hear a voice come from it. Altima would have said to it, regardless of what was actually spoken,
'I, who belong amongst the heavens, am forced to endure the stench of your love-ridden light? You could at least make it worth my while mongrel, for daring to drag me down upon the dirt you shall be buried in! Do not falter now mongrel!'[/style] | [atrb=vAlign,top][style=margin-top:5px; width: 90px; font-family: georgia; font-size: 10px; text-align: center; font-weight: bold; background-color: #680000; color: #f9f9f9; text-transform: uppercase; padding: 3px;]OTHERS[/style] [style= color: FFEAF2; font-size: 8px; font-family: century gothic;]Song- Mezame

She, and no doubt her opponent, felt the resistance of stone upon their sides. Despite the struggle, it had ended in an even exchange of discomfort. The intensity did not stop. Altima could feel the weight of the creature coming down further now that gravity had taken effect. She had her back on the grass, and the annoying sensation of rain upon her face mixed with the grotesque sight of a snarling creature far too close to her face. Altima's anchored weapons were still wedged tightly in Beast's limbs, so a bit of leverage was added to maintain the equilibrium.
It proved to be more difficult though. That harsh landing had caused sharp pains to bother her left side greatly, in addition to the gradually mounting muscle fatigue. She had no idea how much blood the creature had lost since having his claws and wrist area pierced by the weapons, but it apparently wasn't enough yet to make him fall down defeated. Those fangs got closer and closer to their mark...and that victory blow may have well been in the creature's grasp.
Yet if he looked at those eyes....they still did not show a single sign of fear or defeat. Altima's face would never give the creature the satisfaction of shattering her confidence!
"Well played mongrel, placing me in such a suggestive position! Yet as close as you are to claiming my blood, why is it that your driven fangs cannot finish the deal? Do you not know? Shall I bestow upon you the hierophant's guidance so that you may truly awaken to where you lie in this grand scheme?!"
Altima could see it. Beast would too, though perhaps too late. Two specks were reflected in Altima's eyes, not belonging to the countless droplets of rain from the heated heavens. She didn't even need to focus in on them. Her peripheral image was more than enough to see how this next move would play out. And all that was needed was to keep the target in place...
...with a few more moments of taunting. "I shall give you the pity you deserve mongrel. No doubt the same that you receive from whomever your desperation strives to reject me from! Heheheh~!" Altima cackled, spitting at the Beast's face and making sure she missed the eyes. It was, after all, only an insult.
"For the only thing a Beast like you can do....is to struggle until the day another predator sinks its fangs into your flesh!"
The next thing that happened to the spectator's eye was a large explosion of water, dust, and flashing light. Altima's specks were her armed servants, who had pursued after the falling duo shortly after the initial lunge. They came down like the judgment call of the jurors in a court. One with a war hammer shot that aimed for the right half of Beast's waist, looking to cripple his mobility under such force. The second, a bladed impale, was aimed slightly above the left shoulder blade and closer to the center of Beast's frame. It would be a surgically precise strike between the 2nd and 3rd intercostal space of the respective ribs; intending to cause the creature a heavy increase in labor during breathing and bleeding profusely. This attacker was coated in a layer of ice shards upon her back, no doubt earned from the fifth presence in that ballroom.
Altima did not care if the attacks landed. She had her hooks in and the creature pinned. There was no doubt in her mind, that he could free himself if he wanted to, but there were consequences to such an action. Forcefully removing embedded edges as deep as her blades were would not be the most pleasant of experiences, and that single moment would be all she needed. That moment where the creature before her winced under the weight of reality. It was then she would make her move. A move that would unravel to the Beast just how this entire scene played out.
How she led him into a pointless struggle. How she never lost sight of her confidence. How strange it was to meet a person who held such strength in a tiny frame. How the coming attacks was all calculated. How foolish he was to face an opponent he may very well not walk away from.
Altima could only await for the possibility. For this was a tale of the hunter and the hunted.
And she was the hunter.[/style] |

Raid #2

Post by beast on Sept 1, 2012 11:46:15 GMT -5
There had been much from the moment that the Beast, once known long ago as Prince of this castle, leapt from the balcony and towards the High Seraph at such speed. The Beast had thought he had caught sight of a fourth woman in the Ballroom when he leapt, a raven-haired girl with a familiar face. He’d seen her before, but where? Not many visited the castle, so it must have been when the Beast had been amongst those other worlds. Radiant Garden maybe? Or perhaps Spira? Spira seemed right, but as quick as her face was becoming clearer to being placed with a name, the Beast’s focus fell back to the angel of Malice before him. Her high and mighty self seemed not to wish to try and evade the lunge, something that Beast would honestly have found hard to swallow if she had managed. Her deep, hatred filled red eyes met with the burning cold fire of the passion and love in his blue. A song of Ice and Fire, A vision of Earth and Heaven. In those burning eyes was a hatred for humanity. Staring straight into them might falter the heart of most men. Perhaps then it was good that Beast was no longer a man.
There was power behind the woman who bore the frame of a girl barely past puberty. There was strong power. Power to rival even the Beast himself. But behind that power was a mind of a tactical fighter. For when the Beast had chosen to leap, it seemed the woman had chosen to retaliate with swords. Long, sharp, piercing blades struck the Beast, slicing and piercing through either of his arms. The pain was intense, and it forced a Howling roar out of Beast’s throat once more. Powerful and deep, but with no force behind it. This was a roar of pain. It echoed into the Forests around the castle, no doubt alerting his servants and Belle to the fears they needed to suffer. In the brief flash when he saw his own blood upon the blades, Beast felt two things. One was a renewed hatred for this woman, who’s power and tactics she knew and used correctly. The other was a twinge of fear. For now it was small, but it was there. It was not a fear for himself either, but for those he cared for. If this woman presented this much of a threat to the Beast, then how much of a threat could she post to Belle?
The cackles of the Seraph and the roars of the Beast echoed with the thunder and rain as Glass shattered and bodies tumbled. Time seemed slow and though he now had swords piercing his wrists that could easily make him a marionette, Beast continued the assault still. He pushed past each pain as he fougth the strength of the woman and the edge of her swords within him, looking to strike with vigor and determination. He hit is mark but a few times, but enough to see the winces of the pain in her eyes to give him but a small renewed faith in himself. He was a Guardian. He was a powerhouse. He was a Defender of Belle, Princess of Heart and that which gave life to this dark and dreary place. She was his, and he was hers, and no one would stop that till the day that Beast died. His bites were ineffective to reach her, but they were keeping her on her toes as well. Even the claws on his feet made attempts, hoping to hook into wing, leg, hip, foot, anything to rip it to shreds and tear it asunder. In the briefest of moments, his eyes met with Altima’s once more, teeth barred and rain battering into fur and hair, thunder and lightening echoing as it reached to encompass the area. The very forces of nature wished to reflect this tussle, and in those red eyes of the woman, Beast saw something odd. He smelled not fear, not agony, not superiority, but… respect. She respected him. Was this to be a test then? Foolish Angel on high. Beast would take no test. He would rend her to shreds for disrupting his home and putting his place at risk. It seemed she spoke, and it seemed an insult. Her words were there, echoed in the wind and rain, but Beast paied little other than the meaning behind them.
Wrenching the Angel slightly to better position himself and try his best to make her be his landing cushion, The Beast winced only slightly as stone ripped into his side, tearing into both him and the angel as he wrenched again to force her beneath him. He would be Alpha, and the only Alpha of this world. Her blades still pierced his wrists and ached him, but the adrenaline and emotions which fueled him reached first, telling every fiber and muscle of his being to strike, to hurt, to harm, to kill. He forced himself closer to the woman, teeth and fangs barred to pierce her neck and let the lifeblood of every creature flow outward. Yet he could not twist his neck quite enough to reach, and as she spoke again, he caught another meaning in her words, the actual words themselves blurring in his head as the emotions and the effect behind them hit him. His eyes widened as he saw the specks reflected in her eyes, She spat at him, and he roared back, his own slobber and spit coating hers. He would be sure everything she did was reflected ten fold, just to show her who the true defender and rightful guardian was.
But even as he saw the specks in her eyes, he could not react fast enough. The war hammer struck his side, and there was an audible crack as his hip was forced one way while his claws remained. This was futher given effect when a third blade made it’s mark, piercing his back and through his chest. A howl that held no roar echoed, this one of intense pain. Anyone in the area would know now that the beast was truly in trouble, truly at risk. Such a rare sight and find to hear him howl in pain of physical labor. He had never flet this before. Even Xaldin, strong as he was, never did this much damage to the frame of Beast. Even Maleificent, with all her magic as an evil fairy, had done nothing to cause this much pain. It seemed end might be nigh, but as Beast looked at Altima, he saw something sparkle in her eyes. There was no fear, there was only a sadistic pleasure. This woman, in the frame of a child and appearing frail as all, held in her more characteristics of a Monster than anything the Beast could amount to. There was more destruction, hate, malice, and drive in her than anything the Beast could amount to. Time seemed to slow once more, and it gave the Beast time to speak just the briefest of words.
“I am more of a man than you could ever amount to.”
A glow seemed to emanate from the Beast, the pain and damage he received once more fadeing back behind renewed vigor. His muscles clenched and sprung in the blink of an eye, forcing himself up and off the Angel on high and remove her blades from his wrists. The pain and feeling was intense, and the burning sensation would be stuck with him forever, but the blades were removed, blood pouring from the wounds. Adrenaline kicked in and the Beast pulled what some might consider a risky move, pushing himself further back along the Katana so his claws and arms might reach behind him quickly and grasp the woman from behind, claws hoping to dig into what he perceived flesh. With luck, he would grasp the Katana wielding woman and then bring her up and over his head, throwing her directly at the war hammer wielding woman. The cracked hip ached him in the move, and it showed when he would falter by the briefest of buckling, but he still fought hard. His cloak billowed around him supernaturally against the wind, He brought his claws and arms in, then forced them outward and took a renewed battle stance, A howl of intense sound waves beckoned, different from the one previously in the sheer power behind the roar. It echoed, the trees swayed, and an energy spread outward from the Beast to damage all his foes, namely the Angel and her Daemons. With renewed strength and Vigor, And an intense energy flowing through, Beast can only hope to at least survive. With luck, perhaps someone, just someone, might come after to help him. Because he needed to live, to defend Belle.
Because he loved her.

Raid #2

It had all happened so quickly. One moment the angel and the beast were in the ballroom and the next moment the sounds of shattering glass filled the area as Rinoa watched the two do combat in mid-air. Swords impaled flesh and claws ripped it apart as the struggle began to be pulled back down to the ground by the forces of gravity. All Rinoa could do was watch at this point. The Blizzaga spell that she had cast on the katana wielder did make contact with its target but it didn't seem to do much damage bat first glance but the spell did leave a frozen sheet of ice on the girl's back that may be hiding the damage from view. It could also be limiting her movements somewhat but it wasn't enough to decrease her effectiveness in battle.
This was made obvious when the katana wielder and the hammer wielder ran past her a short time later. Rinoa too ran to the railing overlooking the gardens that had now become a battlefield just in time to look on in horror as she witnessed Beast take a nasty blow to his side from the hammer girl then Rinoa visibly cringed when the girl with the katana impaled Beast in the torso. But by this time the sorceress could not stand by and warch any longwr. Rinoa cast Curaga on Beast to help heal or lessen the wounds he had suffered or ar the very least it would mend his broken bones as he began his attack of reaching back for the girl with the katana. Rinoa hoped that his atrack would have some extra strength behind itt now that his wounds were less severe.
Now it was time to deal with the person that had injured her blitzball teammate so badly. She may not have done all the damage herself if Rinoa was correct then the angel controlled the other two. The sorceress was getting upset. Rhe damage Altima had done was bad enough but to gang up on Beast three on one? She knew beings of darkness cared little for fighting fair but it still irked Rinoa to no end. She looked down high seraph. She wanted to punish her for hurting her friends but she needed to make sure her friend was protected first.
A hole appeared in the ground in front of the sorceress and a small rabbit-like creature pokwd its head out and looked around. It then jumped out of the hole and bathed Rinoa and Beast in a briliant light from the ruby on it's forehead. This cast Reflect on the pair. This would make any magic that was cast on either of them to be redirected back at the one who cast the spell originaly. Carbuncle then went back into the hole whit it closing behind him. Hopefully this was going to give her and Beast a much needed edge in this battle that was sure to be a hard onw indeed.

Raid #2
Sept 5, 2012 13:46:52 GMT -5
Post by kadaj on Sept 5, 2012 13:46:52 GMT -5
The old, dried leaves clinging so desperately to the branches upon which they grew, rustled once more in the soft breeze that blew across the land. Loose leaves upon the bridge and pathway leading to the castle that had already taken the plunge and fallen from their high perches had become tangled up within the breeze, being picked up and whisked away to the furthest corners of the forest, perhaps to all corners of the world itself. The wind danced through the clothes of the three who were intruding upon this world. Facing the wind, the silver strands of hair that covered the right, glowing eye of the Remnant Leader shifted a fraction to allow both Sora and the female Keybarer a chance to see his cat-like pupils. His turquoise eyes flashed like a flame upon a candle as he looked back and forth between the Keybarers. After a moment however, the wind died back down and after raising up his right arm, the Remnant closed his eyes and brushed a few strands out of his eyes.
The reaction from both of them brought a smirk across Kadaj's lips. They must have both felt his Darkness as he approached the castle, and with them both being Keybarers of the Light, it came as a small surprise that neither of them were prepared for the sudden lurch forwards the silver-haired youth made. Not that it was a bad thing... well, it would be a bad thing if neither of them moved when he actually attacked, but for this one time, it was a good thing. Both male and female Keybarer didn't shift and thus were able to come along for the ride Kadaj had prepared, allowing the three of them to avoid the incoming Holy spell. That annoying, red-clothed witch must have cast the spell. Just like back in Agrabah, the demon seemed intent on disrupting Kadaj's fun.
First the female moved. Ripping her Keyblade out of the Remnant's grip, Kadaj peered at his hand and flexed his leather bound fingers to and from a fist as the subtle sting he felt from the teeth of the Keyblade. They were truly powerful weapons. Sora shifted next though he instead released his Keyblade, leaving it in the Remnant's grip for but a second. A second was all Kadaj needed to tilt the Kingdom Key within his and and gaze upon the most bizarre shaped weapon. Then it vanished in a flash of light, returning to it's rightful owner. The silver-haired youth chuckled as he lowered both his arms down to his sides, peering back up towards his opponents with a grin upon his face. "Never be mine, huh? I think I can do something about that." Kadaj spoke back to the female, amused by how quickly her features had turned from one of slightly worry to that of fury. Hey voice was disgusted. Perhaps she had bad past experiences with users of the Darkness and her hatred towards them revealing itself now? Were Keybarer's allowed to hate? Sora was doing his usual act of looking out for others over taking notice of what the current threat was doing. Typical of the snot-nosed kid really, he was going to surprised with how much stronger the Remnant had grown since their last meeting.
Creaking leather occurred as Kadaj brought his left arm up to eye level. Holding his palm down towards the cold, dirt floor beneath, he flexed his hand into a tight fist before relaxing it once more. Slowly, he slid his hand down and behind himself, were his fingers gripped upon the handle of his double bladed Souba. "Go after the Castle? The Mouse King can keep his castle, so can whoever owns this one. I have no interest in them. It's the owners themselves I am interested in... Well, not so much the Mouse King. He was pretty weak. Though obviously my intrusion upon this world worked a charm. Here you are, Key to Everything!" Kadaj said, his tone growing darker the closer he reached the end of his final sentence. Keeping his fingers clenched about the tightly wrapped handle of his Souba, the Remnant waited a moment, not drawing the blade yet. The sounds of combat coming from deeper within the castle reaching his, and no doubt Sora's and Raine's ears. Someone was certainly having some fun over there. Roars of both rage and pain coming from the back of the castle, perhaps from the Ballroom. The noises caused the silver-haired youth to glance past both the Keybarers towards the castle itself. Well, whoever was in there could stay in there. Should anyone or anything decide to interrupt the Remnant's battle with Sora, then all hell was going to break loose.
Kadaj smirked darkly at Raine as she clearly was much more aware of the danger before her over Sora was. He grinned and let another chuckle escape his lips as he bowed slightly and nodded his head in agreement to the words the woman had spoke. Yes, the time of speaking was over. Introductions be damned. The woman wasn't going to gift Kadaj with her name so there was no point giving her his own, despite Sora already speaking it earlier. No matter. Instead, Kadaj stood back upright and threw his arms out to either side, his left tugging the Souba free from it's sheath with the sliding and singing of sharp metal. "Of course. Lets get this show going, shall we?" Spoke the After Image
[/b] with a wide smirk. The instant the fake-Remnant finished speaking did Kadaj himself appear between both Sora and Raine. No flashes of light and no black feathers to signal his approach happened, just simple, natural speed. With his back to the castle and leaping into the air, Kadaj threw out his legs into splits, throwing out a scissor kick to smash both Sora and Raine in their left and right temples respectively. If he hit their ears and caused ringing, then fair enough. If he missed, then that was no problem either, for when the Remnant touched down upon the solid ground, he jerk quickly towards Raine and launched at her. With Souba held within both hands for added power, he swung the twin-bladed weapon dangerously towards the woman's back/chest in a vicious horizontal strike. All the while, a smirk as bright as his glowing eyes was spread across his face. This was going to be a fun evening, win or lose. [/blockquote] Actions: Created an After Image to try and fool Sora and Raine. Kadaj appeared between them both and aimed kicks at the left of Sora's head and right of Raine's. He then turned and attacked Raine with a horizontal Souba slash as chest height. -=Cooldowns=- Angel Teleportation[/b] - Ready to use. After Image[/b] - 2 Posts. -- By moving very quickly, Kadaj can create an After Image of himself that is completely harmless. They can still move and talk and attack but only last for a few seconds. They're mainly used as a distraction so Kadaj can attack from another direction.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,480px,true][atrb=cellpadding,3px,true][atrb=cellspacing,3px,true][bg=939d8f] No, you can tell 'em all now, I don't back up, I don't back down, I don't fold up, and I don't bow, I don't roll over, don't know how I don't care where the enemies are, can't be stopped, all I know: Go Hard!
(OOC: Just to let everybody know, I got permission from Beast to do the following attack in this post in a PM, just ask him for confirmation.) He watched as she reached out for him, lurched back in reaction to the intruder touching her blade the same fashion as his. His answer to his outcry for reassurance was surprisingly answered with a snarl, not at him, but at the interloper who had saved them from his own devices. This was probably the first time he had seen the outburst of negativity in the form of anger from Raine, and it honestly scared him, not that he felt threatened or intimidated in any way but moreso afraid for the viciousness and hatred in the young woman's heart. That was nothing he could advert from the darkness now, and hearing her call to him to mollify and remind him of the impending situation, he nodded to her as he stood by her and buckled down once more into his fighting stance. So, this is what it would come down to, a intense fight with the clone of Sephiroth that had been trying to track him down to beat him all this time. "We came here to stop a intense darkness intruding this world... but I guess we could humor you before we do." he answered back smartly to Kadaj, ignoring the title of 'Key to Everything' given to him for the moment, getting himself ready for how fast and tricky he could remember the young man to be.
"Be careful, he's faster than he looks, and he attacks with an After-Image too." he warned in a voice for Raine to hear, and he grinned, hoping Kadaj heard it as well. The tense stand of before the battle on the bridge was set with dark clouds already having rolled in to cover up the moon, leaves and foliage billowing past them as the only thing that moved in that moment. Under a lunaless sky, small particles of rain began to fall at that moment. Not enough that it could be considered raining, just a light squall along with howling wind, but it was enough to warn them as icy water touched bare skin that the clouds were ripe with rain about to burst from their seams. Sora had hoped to avoid battling in the rain, but at least it was cliché weather for a shadow cast over this world, with thunder and lightning accomanpying it. Sora braced, there was movement that Sora registered but did not move to just yet, until Kadaj stopped moving and Sora realized he had called Kadaj's bluff he had been about to use.
He could only hope his warning had been enough, as he did not have enough time to warn her, as Kadaj appeared between them and applied the first strike against them with a kick into each of their foreheads. Sora's head recoiled back along with the foot, but then pushed back as it left, enough in time to see Kadaj go after Raine with his Souba. He knew Kadaj was only going after her, to get to him, because he had seen his concern for the young woman. The kick could have displaced her enough to cleave his sword into her side for a nasty blow, but suddenly Sora appeared from nowhere between the Souba Wielder and his fellow keyblader, his Kingdom Key raised and blocking Kadaj's slash with a mighty clang of metal and sparks. How had Sora done this impossible feat, while he had been behind Kadaj as he turned to swipe Raine, and made it there in time? No, it wasn't impossible, as Sora had indeed grown stronger since he met Kadaj last and activated his Link Block, sparing the girl from Ivalice from what could have been a fatal blow.
He frowned, but then from the castle there was a roar, and a painful one at that as rain began to cascade in a silvery downpour upon them. Kadaj's Souba locked within his during this distraction, he let go of the pressure momentarily to allow his blade to advance, only to push back with momentum on the top of his blade again in a attempt to nick the tip of Sora's keyblade into the Remnant's face and temple in kind. Only, this never attempted to be a real attack, only a parry and a further distraction as he pushed the forked katana off them, grabbing Raine by the hand. "You want to fight me? Meet you inside!" he quickly yelled, already several footsteps off the bridge and across the footyard, tugging Raine in a way gently so as to not hurt her arm but forcefully so she stayed close to him. He wasn't afraid of Kadaj, nor did he mind a little water, his only concern of course was of that of his friends. "BEAST! WE'RE HERE! WE'RE ON OUR WAY! Raine, keep running, don't stop." he shouted for Beast as they entered the castle, then to Raine behind him to keep up the pace.
A statue they passed suddenly exploded, and Sora could feel the flying pieces of stone shower over him, but his heart of courage pulled them onward through the dizzying chase through the castle. Kadaj was on their tail, and there was no telling when or if he had attacked, just the intense thrill of being pursued and his pounding heart telling him to keep going and stop for nothing. He burst into the ballroom that he and Raine had been only minutes earlier, seeing the shattered glass of something having made a path through it either to the castle roof or into the garden outside. The Key That Connected to Everyone intensely looked through the hole in the roof, sensing they were not up there, before he and Raine jumped through the hole to the Garden and let go of their hand as he tucked and rolled safely to the ground. Springing up and bringing his keyblade to bear, he witnessed the spectacular other battle that was going on, between Beast and thankfully the familiar face of Rinoa, and the three women the most of which was an intimidating woman in red with wings. Discarding the thought of where Kadaj was right now, he watched as Beast tussled with the two other women before he called out in a lower tone of voice, "Rinoa! Beast! We're here for you!"
He raced into Beast's side as his cloak began to billow around them both of them in the supernatural wind around them, until Beast had forced outward his arms and claws outward, the spiky-haired young man doing the same except only with fingers instead of claws. A explosion of light came around them as Beast used Twin Fang, with Sora combining his own power with his, amplifying and intensifying it outwards. Sora let Beast channel and exert his power as he loaned it to him, looking out over Raine and Rinoa in not forgetting them, as well as for Kadaj when he would enter. The Kingdom Key held up defensively before him to guard, he also looked for his chance to use his next attack, awaiting Beast to launch the combo together. Now having merged his friends and foes alike together, he only had one thing left to say to the latter.
"Get out of Beast's Castle!!!" he shouted.
He was here at last for his friends for support when they needed it, and they for him.
(OOC: That will probably be the last post I'll be able to get in before the raid ends next week, and if it is I just wanted to thank you all for making such a brilliant raid, I hope everyone enjoyed reading it too!)
