[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,480px,true][atrb=cellpadding,3px,true][atrb=cellspacing,3px,true][bg=939d8f] Internal temperature's rising, And all the voices won't recede As soon as Sora witnessed the statue shooting a actual earth spell, he raised up his keyblade to defend himself. He wasn't fast enough to use Guard to create a better defense, and while they keyblade was able to deflect some of the smaller stone shrapnel pieces, some did cut across and through him past the parts of his body the keyblade wasn't blocking. Across the abdomen on the left side, cutting across the stomach higher on the right-hand side, and a mean cut higher up above his eyebrow that could give Leon's scar a run for it's money. Sora gritted his teeth and grunted a little, preparing his next move. What was he going to do, when keyblade strikes wouldn't work, and the Blizzaga he saw hitting the dragon barely doing anything? There had to be some kind of a weakness, but unfortunately since he was back inside the place and couldn't see the others, he didn't have any pointers on what to try next. So, he did what he knew had worked before that could give him a distinct advantage, even if it was just for a moment. He aimed for the entrance of the place, and cast once again the familiar spell but on a different statue than the one Zidane had been facing; Magnega. This should hopefully once again pull the statue into the magnet-element spell's orbit and disable it for a bit while he hacked away at it, but he prepared himself for what would happen if the spell's gravitational field didn't work for some reason. He had to think fast! Maybe he just needed more power to chip away at these clunky statues? So what else would Sora do against a enemy with a high defense? Well, go straight right through the defense with a powerful attack head-on, of course! And so, with this simple stategy in mind, Sora pulled back on his keyblade as he held it's two-handed grip up to eye level next to his head, jumping back as he did. Then in a sudden reverse of momentum, he burst forward with the Kingdom Key's tip like a lance as hot white energy formed a cone of energy at the tip while he surged forward, using Guard Break. The technique was special in that not only did it do physical light-enchanted damage, but could break through an enemy''s guard as if ignoring their defense altogether, and hopefully it would be enough to pierce through this enemy's thick rocky hide. He just hoped his friends were having better luck!
(Battle theme for this post: Dance to the Death from KHII Original Soundtrack (Extended) ) Actions taken: First action: Attempted a normal block against the statue, and got damaged, but still buffered from being severely injured. Second action: Used Magnega in a attempt to disable the statue again, knowing it was a spell that worked against Zidane's statue before. Magnega: A offensive spell, this magic that utilizes the element of weight and darkness, much like Gravity which it replaced, creates an orb that draws lesser enemies in towards it and then damages them consistantly until it vanishes. This is a great attack to use on smaller enemies, but it does not work on more powerful individuals and boss enemies. Two-post cooldown. Third action: Tried attempting Guard Break to break through the statue's tough skin to damage it. Guard Break: Sora jumps backwards to dodge any close-range attacks, then immediately counter-attacks with a powerful white energy lance on the tip of his keyblade, resulting in a powerful piercing blow. This attack has the element of Light. Cooldown: Three posts. TAG Snow, Zidane, Yazoo (Mission Mod) SONG LYRICS A Stranger I Remain by Metal Gear Rising |

Snow was not pleased with the results he got when he fired his icy magic at the dragon. It was completely ineffective. On top of that, the two part attack run made by his dear eidolons didn't do much against the dragon either. All it had done was move the dragon's head off to the side due to the momentum that was behind the attacks that were launched by Stiria and Nix. Snow exhaled in disappointment. What did the Hero and the Shiva Sisters have to do in order to take this ugly thing down once and for all? He had to help his friends as soon as possible. Who knows how they are faring against the other monsters that might be near and inside the castle. Snow had to end this monster quickly so that he could go and help them. Snow kept his guard up though and so did his eidolons, waiting for the dragon, not being sure about what was happening next. Snow was not much for strategy; if a specific way to win a battle was not clear to him, he would just beat down an opponent until the opponent was incapable of fighting back. It was due to this fighting mindset that Snow could not see what was coming next...
The dragon, after being staggered and thrown off by Nix's attack despite the fact that it did little damage was able to use the momentum that threw it off to come back around and slam into Snow and the Shiva Sisters by lashing into them using its head and neck. Snow felt himself being carried off to the side due to the impact of the dragon's attack; with his whole side aching from the power of the dragon's force. Snow, Stiria, and Nix tumbled off to the side as a result of the attack done by the dragon. Stiria and Nix seemed to be fine as they popped right up from the ground but it took a little time for Snow to gather himself, he was never hit quite like that before. However, something irked Snow. The fact that he had faced bigger monsters than this dragon and defeated them and was still having problems with this stone dragon brought frustration upon Snow. Snow punched the ground in frustration and stood right up, but stumbled as he did, still reeling a bit from the effects of the dragon's attack. Snow refixed his gloves by stretching onto his hands and gave the stone dragon the death stare. Stiria and Nix got serious as well, as they were as fed up with the monster as Snow was. Snow decided that he was going to go for all the marbles. He looked to Stiria on his left...and Nix on the right, with a look that said, "I'm going to do something that I don't do on a regular basis, be ready to help me out on it." Nix gave Snow an evil smile, while Stiria, nodded, assuring Snow that she will help in anyway that she possibly could.
"I am so over this, man...", Snow yelled as he ran toward the dragon.
It was then that he let out a battle cry and jumped high into the air. He then held his fist above him and cocked his fist backward. He let out a mighty battle cry, letting his power run on all cylinders. Snow summoned all that he had; his power as a Pulse L'Cie, his own natural strength, and the strength-boosting AMP technology in his jacket for this attack. He was looking to end it all with this attack. Making his power run high on all cylinders, he clenched his right fist and descended upon his opponent. Snow was going to end this now, he was going to use Sovereign Fist. Once he came close to the enemy, he then attempted to punish his opponent by heaving his fist into his opponent with all his might, leaving a cataclysmic explosion, dealing extraordinary damage.
Just before Snow connected with his attack, Stiria and Nix had looked to see where Snow was and then they jumped high into the air over Snow just before he connected with his attack. Stiria and Nix high five'd each other and they spun in a circle in mid air. They then clasped their hands together and Stiria's legs intertwined with Nix's legs. They then proceeded to complete their transformation, their Gestalt Mode, which was in the form of a motorcycle. Snow jumped from the explosion and Snow proceeded to mount the motorcycle in midair. He then landed on the ground and he revved the engine and drove away from his enemy and turned to face his enemy but he wasn't done yet. He didn't want to give his enemy the chance to breathe. He then rode right into the dragon and stopped and spun in place, carving the donut and unleashing the Shiva Sisters' ultimate move, Diamond Dust. As Snow spun in place near the dragon itself, a large ice crystal with many spikes began to materialize into and around the dragon and grow to be almost as tall as the palace itself and almost as wide as the courtyard itself, with Snow spinning in place on his motorcycle as the center. Snow then immediately stopped carving the donut and then the gargantuan ice crystal shattered into pieces, with Snow and the Shiva Sisters out of their Gestalt Mode, coming down from the air and landing softly on the ground, hoping that it did enough damage. Nevertheless, Snow bid his two best friends farewell, with Stiria waving goodbye and Nix blowing him an icy kiss. The Shiva Sisters had taken their leave and now Snow waited in his fighting stance, hoping that what he did was enough to take the dragon down. He was a little tired but he was still determined...
Actions Taken:
Action #1: Snow uses Sovereign Fist on the stone dragon, after the dragon did its attack
Action #2: The Shiva Sisters went into Gestalt Mode and Snow boarded the motorcycle and drove into the dragon to use Diamond Dust.
Powers Used:
Sovereign Fist: This is by far Snow's strongest attack; not many can withstand it. Snow yells "Later!" and then, using his AMP technology that lies within his jacket and his raw strength, he uses his powerful legs to launch himself into the air. After he is high into the air, he summons all that he has; his power as a Pulse L'Cie, his own natural strength, and his AMP technology. Making his power run high on all cylinders, he clenches his right fist and descends upon his opponent. He then punishes his opponent by heaving his fist into his opponent with all his might, leaving a cataclysmic explosion, dealing extraordinary damage. This is Snow's final and best attack, which would leave him drained after usage for a time. (5 post cooldown)
Blizzaga: Snow can cast a strong ice magic attack. It can inflict damage on multiple targets if many are present. (2 posts left)
Shiva Sisters Summoning - Gestalt Mode: The Shiva Sisters are known as Stiria and Nix. Stiria is known to be the elder sister. She is dark-skinned and she has a light patch around her right eye. While, Nix is the younger sister. She is light-skinned with somewhat of a visor over her eyes. The Shiva Sisters can help Snow for five full turns then they will have to take their leave for five turns after they have been active for five turns. The Shiva Sisters can move into and out of Gestalt Mode; Snow can command the Shiva Sisters to go into their second and final form, their Gestalt form. In this form, the Shiva Sisters merge together to make a motorcycle, which Snow can ride upon. (Dismissed due to Diamond Dust; all Gestalt and Normal Attacks done by the Shiva Sister can be used again despite cooldowns once summoned again; 4 posts left)
"Here We Go!!": This is one of Snow’s strongest abilities. Snow will beat his chest with his right fist and yell “Alright!!” to pump himself up and have a bright orange aura emit from his body, from there he will gain plenty of power-ups at once as a result: Bravery(doubles attack power), Faith(doubles magic power), Protect(cuts physical damage by half), Shell(cuts magic damage by half), Veil(resistant to status ailment attacks), and Vigilance(increases the chance of interrupting the opponent's action when attacking, and increases resistance against interruption from the opponent while Snow is doing an action. This means that abilities that would stun or stop or parry Snow's physical or magical attack wouldn't work and Snow will be able to stop physical attacks completely like holding a punch or blocking a blade slash by clapping both hands and blocking magic spells with his palm at the cost of damage.) However, these power-ups can be dispelled by any magic that can purge them, such as Dispel or any spell with the opposite/negative effect on any of the buffs that Snow has cast upon himself, for example, a Deprotect spell can get rid of the Protect spell that is cast upon Snow (1 post left; 3 post cooldown)

I want to shine
The thief slid to a halt, legs still a bit shaky from the earlier quake spell. Glancing back over his shoulder: blue eyes would search for the enemy in hopes of avoiding a back attack. Zidane watched as his opponent crumbled to pieces. His gloved hands gripped down on his blades' hilts and shifted his weight to face the pile of stone. The thief lowered his stance, but did not fully drop his guard. Darting his sapphire orbs about what was now a field of battle the thief tried to understand what exactly was going on. Before he could call out another thunderous rumble escaped the surrounding area.
Cursing under his breath the young Genome dashed out toward the ruckus. "Hey!" His voice was trained to push out into a crowd, so through the shouts of panic he could only hope the broke through. "Is anyone there!? Are you okay!?"
Zidane pushed toward the remaining sounds of combat and made sure to keep low and fast. Dashing through the crowd and just barely avoiding the damaged steps he would jump onto the top of the stairways' landing. With tail clicking around to give him steady balance, the their rushed inside. Looking up there was another figure furiously fighting another stone creature. These gargoyles, at least they were to him, seemed to being terrorizing these poor civilians, but this one fellow was no civilian.
"Sora!" The thief called and moved in behind the creature to rush it and assist Sora. Zidane would try and use Swift Attack to dash in and strike at Sora's opponent.
•Swift Attack: A melee strike that is so fast it knocks back the opponent and cannot be dodged. This attack does light damage. -1 Post Cooldown.

As Sora cast Magnega again, it had not as much impact as it had on the other Stone Beast due to the lack of a staircase to fall off. It still caused the beast to slide over the ground towards it. The beast's jaws crumbled as they opened and closed while the beast was viewing Sora when he came at it. The entire statue lifted its front body up as the boy came at him. As the boy broke through its rock skin easily, the beast made use of the spell it was affected by and its weight by trying to have its front legs crash down onto Sora in a similar style the large dragon had been using its head and neck.
As it did this, it felt another attack strike at him as Zidane came to aide Sora. The stone beast kept its attention on its attack for now as it continued to slide more rapidly towards the magnega due to having less hold onto the ground. Many parts of the statue were, however, flying away towards the magnega and flying over the place as its belly, face, and limps had all sorts of cracks and were missing large chunks revealing its current status.
Having its attack succeed didn't really change things for the Stone Dragon too much, especially after seeing the three still standing there. The dragon tried to curl its body again, this time lifting its main torso as well. It held its head aimed at the trio as it watched Snow act out in frustration until he started to run up at it.
When the man had reached it, the sudden strike and explosion that raged into its twisting armorshield slammed the dragon's body further into the air. Its head crashed down into the ground and scraped over the ground while its body moved up into the air. As the entire body crashed down again, the giant crystal of the Diamond Dust formed itself around the large Stone Dragon before shattering, the dragon partly collapsing together. The sand twisting around its body was now gone. The dragon crumbled together and fell apart.
Stone Beast [HP=2/14]
Stone Dragon [HP=0/27]
Actions Stone Beast: Tried to crush Sora under its body.
Cooldowns Quake: One post. Stonega: Two posts.
Note Yeah, I kind of stick to how the damage gets calculated and everything that I've done since the beginning and while the Stone Dragon goes to -1 HP with the last attacks, the Stone Beast still has 2 HP. They have tough skin. =P I feel this is as good as over, though.

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,480px,true][atrb=cellpadding,3px,true][atrb=cellspacing,3px,true][bg=939d8f] I finally found what I was looking for, A place where I can be without remorse This time the statue actually seemed to be breaking up rather than resisting the cuts from his blade. So all that was needed was some blunt force! That was a relief as Sora finished smashing into it, watching some of the pieces break off including parts from the legs and watched as the beast tried to crush him underneath himself. Fool him once, shame on him, follo him twice... and he had no friend next to him to save him from the blow. Not this time! As the statue came down, Sora quickly used a spell. White holy light would flash around him repeatedly in broken shapes and cresent circles, patterns of broken light as if from a camera flash in a barrier around him. Reflega would splash around him, coming into immediate effect, and in turn the splash damage of the physical attack would be reflected straight back into the statue. Just then afterwards Zidane would come into the fray, using a quick knockback attack of his, from behind the statue from where Sora was fighting it from the front. "Zidane!" Sora would cry out in recognition, holding the keyblade in one hand, reaching a hand out for Zidane as he cut through the statue towards him if he wanted to slingshot back into the statue as teamwork to attempt to finish it off. Regardless of if Zidane grabbed his hand and Sora threw the tailed thief back towards their enemy, and if the Reflega didn't work, Sora would finish up with another attack with what would hopefully be a finishing attack until the statue was inoperable. If brute force was needed to shatter these statues, Sora still had plenty of those up his sleeves, and that's exactly what he'd do. Sora gripped the Kingdom Key in both hands again, as he did when he cast Magnega and Reflega, and lowered the blade down before him as if pointing at the statue. But this time, when he did, another dazzling display of light magic came. But instead this time of being lights and mirrors to bounce back melee damage, it detonated in a ring with spheres around him in one of his favorite finishing moves, Explosion. The explosion was holy magic in presense, but the explosion was enough to send Heartless and any other kind of enemy flying away, and hopefully this would be enough to shatter the stone statue before anyone else was hurt. Sora just hoped Snow was doing better after he left him and the Shiva Sisters with the Stone Dragon... only time would tell.
(Battle theme for this post: Dance to the Death from KHII Original Soundtrack (Extended) ) Actions taken: First action: Used Reflega to reflect the melee slam of the statue back at it. Reflega: A defensive spell, a mirrored glass-like barrier forms around him, and puts him in a Counter status. If he is hit with any kind of damage which hurts him, it's reflected back at the opponent to do twice the damage, leaving the target(s) he cast it on undamaged until it does the previous action and wears off. Two-post cooldown. Second action: Offered Zidane to grab his hand, and if wanted or successful, Sora would swing him around himself and throw him back in a slingshot motion back at the statue. Third action: Attempted to finish the statue with Explosion to finish chipping away at the statues' form to stop it from a extended fight. Explosion: Sora swings his keyblade down like a hammer in front of him, and at the point of impact in front of him creates a white ring of elemental energy linked by explosive orbs that surrounds him, to defend him or explode offensively to clear enemies around him. If the ring hits an an enemy, the resulting explosion from the orbs also does splash chain damage, linking through any enemies nearby. This attack has the element of Light and is magic-based rather than physical. Cooldown: Three posts. TAG Snow, Zidane, Yazoo (Mission Mod) SONG LYRICS A Stranger I Remain by Metal Gear Rising |

The stone dragon had made the burly Hero angry. Snow had to took of the gloves because he got frustrated and impatient. As the Shiva Sisters took their leave, Snow watched with a stern expression as the stone dragon began to twist and writhe in pain before Snow. His fists tightened as Snow stared down the dragon. Snow had no qualms going head to head on his own with the stone beast. The stone dragon had awaken Snow. He hadn't been this serious since he faced Royal Ripeness to defend the crystal pillar. Snow was not playing any games today. It was not the time for that at all. Snow then watched as the dragon began to break down. It would seem that the dragon had finally met its end. The Hero watched as his opponent went from being a terrorizing stone dragon to being a pile of stone, rock, and dust. Snow exhaled and unclenched his fists.
It was then that he heard someone yell out. It sounded like Zidane, however he wasn't sure if it was really him. Snow had lost track of where he was but he knew that he was nearby. Maybe, he had been helping whoever might have been in the Palace. Sora headed that way after he left the dragon to Snow and the Shiva Sisters. He had hoped that they were ok. Snow turned away from the pile of dust and began to power walk toward the Palace. Snow looked back one last time at the pile of mess that was the stone dragon's remains and then he proceeded to run in the direction that he heard the yell in. Snow took great leaps up the stairs to the main entrance of the Palace to find another stone monster. Snow couldn't believe it, he had hoped that Sora and Zidane were ok.
It would turn out that they were, for when Snow reached the top of the steps, he saw Zidane pull a super quick attack move that was sure to catch the monster off guard. Snow's serious look faded away. They were almost done. Snow's heroic smirk returned and he ran in as fast as he could past the monster and over to Sora, whom he saw when he ran in. Snow shot Sora a thumbs up, as if to tell him that the stone dragon would not be causing problems for the Palace or the people that lived in the village nearby any more. Once Snow got to Sora's side, Snow's orange aura that doubled his power faded away. However, Snow didn't mind. They were almost done. And now, it was time to clean things up. Snow tried to go in for the last hit but then Sora took the lead and let loose a bright Keyblade attack. Snow smirked, seeing how powerful the attack by Sora was. The stone monster was done for now...

Whether Zidane attacked with Sora's and Zidane's attack one would perhaps never know. Then the ring of lights appeared around Sora and with a large blast, the stone beast's head broke apart and its body fell to pieces to the ground. The last of the statues was beaten and the magic from Dr. Finkelstein's machine released from the statues as the world was cleared from the trouble. Mission Ended Sora, Snow, and Zidane are rewarded with 200 Munny. OOC NoteIf you wish to make some ending posts, go ahead. I'll move the thread afterward. If not, then I'll move this thread after a week or so.

I want to shine
The thief was surprised by the force, having been able to land the knockback on the statue. It seemed Sora noticed him! This was good! Being in the middle of battle with friends than surrounded by enemies. He saw Sora reached out to him. The thief grabbed onto his younger partner's hand before he was thrown back and from the range of danger. The thief came to land against a pillar before kicking off it and flipping down to the ground. He was surprised when the beasts were completely totaled. This was great!
Pumping his fists the thief offered his spiky-headed pal a thumbs up. "Man, now maybe we can concentrate on finding some treasure." He half-teased.
Looking around the thief would assure himself that all enemy motion came to a standstill. He caught something a the steps and turned, only to spot Snow. He threw up his hand in greeting, a big, goofy grin on his face. He was not expecting the tall hero to be here, but he was starting to see that, no matter the danger, that hero always found a way to appear. Maybe he was just a good guy? The thief rested his hands on his hips, tail lashing to and fro as he rolled his shoulders.
"Man, that was tough..." He sighed out. "What the heck was that even about?"

[atrb=border,0,true][atrb=width,480px,true][atrb=cellpadding,3px,true][atrb=cellspacing,3px,true][bg=939d8f] Because I am a stranger who has found An even stranger war
With a shattering explosion and a flash of light, the statue was destroyed, and Zidane had decided to use the hand he reached out for him to fling himself out of harm's way. That was only fair, and Sora looked around him quickly to see if there was any other statues causing trouble or more importantly, people that needed help. Zidane here must have meant that he had defeated his statue outside, but it was a dangerous thing to assume. "Hey Zidane, we stopped all the statues... right?" There was still the huge dragon statue that had squashed Snow earlier, and the echo of that impact still echoed painfully in his bones, so Sora quickly dashed outside to check on his other good friend.
As he ran outside, the Shiva sisters were gone, but so was the stone dragon... or what was left of it. Snow was still there and looking intact, and no-one remaining in the courtyard that looked hurt or injured, so that was all Sora needed to worry about. Still... "Snow, Zidane, are you guys hurt?" He was still thinking about Zidane's question... what had started all this in the first place? "Those statues definately weren't the Heartless or the Nobodies... maybe it was some kind of magic?" he wondered aloud, dumbfoundedly scratching his aching head. What else could really explain how those statues, which Sora had seen countless times passing through here, suddenly come back to life on their own? He started looking around the rubble, to see if there were any kind of clues, or at least something he could show someone who knew magic well like Merlin, maybe Mushu or even the wise Emperor of this world. But as he looked among the strewn debris, there wasn't anything that stood out amonst it that give away tell-tale signs of their animated origins. "Hmmm... I wonder if Mulan or Mushu know anything, maybe the Emperor about some curse here in the palace?" It was the only logical explanation he could think of, some kind of chaotic magic of this world. "Hey guys, if you still want to tag along, let's go let Mulan and the Emperor know everything's okay, and what they know." he suggested, and started walking back into the palace for a quick chat before they left this world, even if it was on their own separate paths.
Sora has left the thread and the thread has ended.
