As the powdered sugar settled, Antique gasped, surprised not to see any Heartless, or rather...anything at all. Except for a very white blonde haired Rayne. Her jaw dropped, and just as she moved her lips to apologize, a nervous giggle escaped her throat instead. An amused expression danced across her ruby eyes, and her tiny hands went to cover her mouth to stop herself from giggling too hard.
Wait. A disembodied friend? Like a ghost?
There wasn't much time for her to think about that, however, as soon the blonde girl had tossed a bag of flour at her. Antique's giggles soon became a high pitched screech, and she looked down at herself, as pale as a ghost, covered in flour. A spark flashed in her eye, and for a second, she looked absolutely distraught.
"My uniform! You ruined it!" she said, a little bit more dramatically than she should have. Antique found a container of green sprinkles and poured it over Rayne's hair, laughing hard. "Ah! You know, green looks really good on you Mistress!"

However, the green-haired girl moved to continue the fight; Rayne helpless as she had green sprinkles poured over her head. "Oh, nooooo~" Rayne cried with a playful laugh, wrapping her right arm around the much shorter girl's waist and ensuring she couldn't escape. As she made sure the girl was secure, she reached her left arm back to the counter behind herself, grabbing whatever she could find in her hand. She managed to grab some kind of container, stealthily using her power over gravity to remove the lid while Antique was thoroughly caught, and then poured the contents directly onto the young girl's head. It turned out to be more sprinkles, but yellow this time. "And you look really good in yellow!" Rayne exclaimed with yet another teasing laugh.
The young blonde released Antique, before she plopped down on the floor with a thump, making sure to keep her legs together for the sake of her dignity as she sat there. After a moment, Rayne started to laugh, a truly happy tone to her almost musical laughing. "Maybe we should each get changed." Rayne added humorously after she had finished her laughing fit. This certainly was a blast, but she'd have one heck of a mess to clean up now.
All the while, Zeromus simply seethed inside of his stone. This annoying green-haired child was interfering with his efforts to keep Rayne alone. The Lucavi knew her will was too strong to catch her in a life or death situation, so the only way he felt he could make her treat...was if she were completely alone, and had nothing but him. His true master would need to be found soon, and he could do nothing trapped within Rayne's stomach.

Antique squeaked as she was held prisoner in Rayne's arm and she wiggled with all of her might to try and get away, although to no avail. There was not much apparent strength in the green-haired girl, although she was not trying very hard to escape either. She heard the individual sprinkles as they were poured on her head and she screeched, flailing playfully as bounced onto her head and onto the ground. As she fell into a fit of giggles, the blonde had let her go.
Antique sank to the ground, and laid her hands in her lap. "A-ah! Well...look at this mess!" she laughed, her eyes absolutely radiant with happiness. It was a long time since she had this much fun in her bakery. She was naturally shy, so outside of work, she did not really connect with anyone. It felt nice to have this companionship, even if it were only for a little bit.
"Oh! I guess we should clean, right?" Antique pointed, and stood up, shaking the flour and sprinkles off her, even though she was covered in it, which sent it flying. Antique popped up, and looked down at Rayne, smiling. Such a nice person, though--she would have to ask more about this...disembodied friend of hers.
"Let me go get the broom, 'kay?" she said, smiling gently, as she trotted around the corner to find some cleaning supplies.

She was such a sweet young girl. While they had certainly made a mess, Rayne could have it cleaned up in a moment... Rayne nodded when Antique mentioned cleaning up. It was probably a good idea. Though, Rayne could use her uniform as well. "Um, would you mind fetching my uniform while you're gone?" Rayne asked as Antique turned a corner to fetch what Rayne imagined to be cleaning supplies.
As soon as she was clear, the blonde-haired woman stood to her feet in a hurry, before she outstretched her hand toward the floor; and more accurately the mess that sat atop it. A small and pitch black ball appeared in the woman's hand, before it began to spiral around somewhat. It eventually became something like a twister. This was a trick Rayne picked up a long time ago. The woman created a small black hole in the palm of her hand, and waved it toward the mess. Like a proper vacuum, the black hole quickly began to suck all of the mess up, and after pointing it around, Rayne had already cleaned up everything but herself. It was then, she spun around, having thought she heard footsteps closing back in, dismissing the black hole in the process. Rayne stood there in the kitchen, swaying her hips from side to side, arms behind her back innocently, whistling as if nothing had happened. The look on Antique's face would be priceless, Rayne knew it!

Wee ki ra ene rre sor hymme ar ciel en, rre hymmnos ee powel, Was yea ra hymme dilete yor enter ar ciel yehar.> Antique hummed as she found the cleaning supply closet. It had been a long time since she had felt so happy. Sure, making bread and being around customers made her glad, but feeling happiness like this--it was as if a bird of many hues was fluttering in her chest, singing. And the song did nothing but want to escape, traveling up Antique's throat, into a pure string of melody through her lips. It was not even a song she really knew, but rather, something her heart felt.
She grabbed the broom, dustpan, and her spare uniform--after all, she did have one...baking was a messy business, and her apron never really did cover everything, especially flour and powdered sugar fights. Not that she had these often...or really, ever. As open as Antique appeared, she was really rather shy, preferring the quiet of her bakery and the controlled situation of customers. Rayne had somehow pushed past those carefully constructed walls...
And it felt nice. Maybe Rayne would be a friend after she made up for all the pastries that she ate.
She clutched the uniform close to her chest. Perhaps. Perhaps. That would have been really nice. But she knew realistically...
Shaking her head back and forth, she turned the corner back into the kitchen, holding the supplies.
And promptly dropped them.
Her kitchen! It was absolutely spotless!
She looked up at Rayne, her face completely confused, and raised her hands, as if asking what in the world had happened! It was nice that her kitchen was clean--but...but...what had happened? How did this happen? If blinking question marks could manifest themselves over the green haired girl's head, it would have been then!
"O-oh...oh my stars...!"

Rayne playfully said with a chuckle, seeing Antique's reaction. The blonde stepped toward Antique, leaning down and accepting the uniform, patting the girl on her head as she did. Rayne unfolded and then held the uniform out, examining it thoroughly. It was so small, and...well...it was clearly meant for Antique, and not someone of Rayne's physical maturity. Rayne quickly found her face beet red at the thought of wearing it, but she had a debt to pay.
The green-haired girl's confusion was certainly adorable though, Rayne couldn't help but set the dress away and look at her again. Rayne found herself happier than she'd been in a while. Maybe people weren't all bad after all? Rayne had been chased away so many times she had lost count by now, but Antique didn't make any of the usual moves. She...seemed to accepted Rayne happily, which brought a feeling the blonde didn't think she could feel again after she had swallowed the stone. Though, she pulled herself from her thoughts after a moment. "Um, is there somewhere I can put this on?" She asked with a nervous chuckle, pulling her arm up, uniform in hand, and giving it waving gesture. Might as well get this over with quickly... Rayne thought to herself. The outfit was going to kill her...

"H...hey!" Antique mumbled as her head was patted. Lots of people tended to do that for her, and it was not a gesture that she quite understood. She blushed though, remembering that it was something that her mother had used to do. It felt different when Rayne did it. The pat had momentarily distracted her from her goal, "How...how did you do that? I mean...I mean...are you a witch?" she asked.
"Not that I think witches are bad or anything...! I-it's just...you have a mysterious friend, and suddenly, this whole mess is gone!"
She clenched her tiny fists as she asked Rayne. Antique was not trying to be offensive, she just wanted an explanation. Her mother had always told her stories of things like witches and mages and all of those wonderful things--she just wanted to know more. After all, considering her age, she was still relatively a child.
"O-oh! There's...uhm..." she said, smiling sheepishly, poking her fingers together because she had become so side tracked. "There's a supply closet in the back...and ah...a bathroom to the left...if you uhm...need it," she blushed, hoping her questioning didn't scare Rayne off. She looked at the ground. It would have been a pity if her nosiness drove the older girl away.

The blonde gave her chin a thoughtful tap. Well, calling me a witch isn't really too far off, I guess... The woman thought, her green eyes scanning Antique over briefly. It couldn't hurt to humor her, at least for now. "I guess you could say I'm a witch, yeah. You can ask me more once I get changed, okay?" Rayne replied with a playful wink, before stepping off toward the bathroom Antique had pointed her to.
As the woman entered, she closed the door behind herself, before pulling the uniform out and looking it over thoroughly again. It was well too small for her...she inwardly groaned at having to wear it. However, she quickly proceeded to change, and once finished, looked herself over from top to bottom. She was certainly 'fitting' in the uniform. Rayne opened the bathroom door and returned to Antique, sheepish over her appearance, and constantly and absently pulling at the bottom of the dress to keep it down. It was even higher up than her dress, and that was saying something! "Um," Rayne began, her face a light pink, "I'm ready to work, Antique..."

Balling her tiny hands into fists, Antique punched the air and hopped around in her low red heels, "Ha! I was right!" she said, ecstatic that her hunch was kind of correct. That was really all the information that she had needed, just so she would know to not be surprised when strange things happened. Not to mention, it would be pretty cool to have a witch work in her bakery, even if it were for a couple of days!
As Rayne went to the bathroom to change, Antique tapped her chin to figure out how she could take advantage of the situation. She never really ever had anyone work for her, and she was not quite sure what to do with it. But she could create all sorts of treats, like something with black cats and Pentecostals and brooms and other witchy things. If she knew much about that at all. Oh well. Black cat looking cupcakes sounded like an easy enough idea. Yes, she could see this working out quite well! Not to mention if she had someone in the back helping bake, or someone up front serving customers...she'd have to have a sale to move more product for the time that she could!
Hopping up on a bar chair, she swung her feet back and forth, waiting for Rayne to come out.
Her eyes popped open when Rayne came out of the bathroom,
"R-Rayne!" she said, blushing. "You look wonderful!" she said, clapping her hands together. "Absolutely gorgeous!"
She made a quick mental note that the girl was obviously a lot better developed than she herself was. Looking herself over she wondered if she'd ever grow up to look like Rayne.

Rayne was bursting from the uniform! It was too small! But...it seemed it was all Antique had, so... Rayne, very quietly and sheepishly, mumbled a 'thank you' to Antique's compliments, before sighing. This humble mumble thing Rayne was doing was not going to work, and she knew it. Especially now with how bubbly and fun Antique was at work. Rayne needed to try her hand at that right now. "Um, l-let me try something...odd..." Rayne stated quietly.
Rayne hummed, psyching herself up for a display of her...charm... Rayne pulled the broom Antique had brought out over to her with her powers over gravity, before twirling it around in her hand like a baton, waving her spare hand out to the side in a particularly showy fashion. "I'm Magical Girl Rayne, and I'm here to do whatever you please!" The blonde exclaimed with as much bubbliness as she could possibly muster in her voice. As she finished her odd display, the woman struck a pose. She sent her left knee up, as if she were being embraced, and held the broom handle toward Antique like a wand, while her free hand was held at shoulder height to herself, index finger and thumb out in the shape of a gun. As a last touch, Rayne winked, as if sending sparkles out from her eyes. "How may I serve you, Mistress~?"
On the outside, Rayne held her calm, bubbly, sweet aura and pose, but on the inside she was all panic. It felt like a thousand things had just exploded in her brain at what she just did!
Gods gods gods gods gods gods gods gods gods gods gods gods gods! What am I doing?! This is the most embarrassing thing I've ever done! Including the time when I was asleep on the beach and the boy saw my panti---NOOOOOO! |

Antique's eyes popped open at the display in bewilderment, and, thoroughly pleased, the girl clapped her hands in delight. "Wow, that was amazing!" she said, and leapt off of the bar stool, picking up her dustpan and pointing it at Rayne in a dramatic manner.
Mimicking Rayne's enthusiasm, Antique slid her free hand at collarbone level as if she were holding a tray of drinks, then raised it to frame her left eye with an outward victory sign. Twisting the dustpan at Rayne as if it were a giant key, she grinned and winked, "Magical Girl Rainie, un~lock~!"
It was obvious that this kind of thing came naturally to Antique. After all, she had spent years doing this type of thing to attract customers. And she loved stories about magical girls and saving the day and heroes and that sort of thing.
Letting the pose down, she smiled at Rayne, "Great job! We just got to get you feeling comfortable with it!" she said, and took the older girls hands to hold them, and shook them with enthusiasm. "I'm sure you'll pay off that debt in no time!"

The girl liked what Rayne had done, so that was a good step forward. After all, Rayne had learned a lot from Aerith... This was all just part of moving forward! "Thank you." Rayne replied, her lips in a smile and her cheeks a light pink. Despite her desire to get out there and be a better person, as well as pay off her debt, Rayne was still embarrassed in the tiny, revealing clothing she was in.
However, Antique saw fit to make her own display. Rayne watched it curiously, keeping track of every motion. 'Magical Girl Rayne,' huh...? I guess I could get used to that. The blonde thought to herself, a bit of a chuckle at the thought. Once Antique had finished, Rayne shifted herself over and gave the girl a hug. "That was so cute! Buuuut," The woman began, releasing Antique from the hug and cupping the green-haired girl's face with her hands for a brief moment. "If you're going to be calling me a cute nickname, I have to have one for you too~!" Rayne playfully explained, winking at the girl, before her hands were taken by her. Antique went on about making Rayne comfortable in the outfit, which made Rayne turn an intense red, embarrassed at the thought. Though it was sweet of Antique, Rayne thought. She gave the younger girl's hands an affectionate squeeze as she held them. Though when the girl mentioned Rayne paying off her debts in 'no time,' Rayne became a bit sad. "W-Well...maybe not that quickly...I wouldn't mind sticking around for awhile!" Rayne added, shaking off her apparent sadness with a soft smile toward Antique. It felt like she had a little sister now. Rayne wanted to keep that.
The woman set the broom down against the nearest wall, before stepping toward the various cupboards and looking them over. They didn't really need to be cleaned too severely, Rayne noticed. She figured it was all just more of the love Antique put into this place. "So, um... What exactly would you like me to do first?" She asked over her shoulder to Antique, as she was facing away for the moment.
Perhaps I'll have a family and loved ones yet...
Though, at the mention of family, Rayne's mind was drawn back to her mother. It'd been years since she had to abandon her and leave her world; years since she had seen her loving mother, who no doubt worried for her daughter every day. Rayne found herself a bit homesick, as her eyes watered some toward the cupboards. At this particular second, she was glad to be facing away from Antique.

Antique seemed absolutely radiant around Rayne. If there were any customers in the empty bakery that day, they would have seen a dramatic change in the rather energetic and sometimes shy baker. Perhaps they would have noticed her happier, and not as lonely-looking. When Rayne held her cheeks, the young girl blushed deep red, not used to the obvious displays of affection. Since her mother had disappeared...
She inwardly shook her head, refusing to think about that. Not when there was something making her so joyous right in front of her. The girl knew it was only a matter of time before Rayne disappeared, too, just like everyone tended to do.
"You...you really would not mind...?" Antique asked, looking up at her and asking quietly, barely even audible enough to hear. It seemed that, for now, Antique would not have to be alone. Glancing around, she noticed her new lack of materials to make anything with.
"Well..." Antique said, and grinned. "We need to go out into town and buy ingredients! I can't make anything without flour or powdered sugar!"
Antique threw her apron over the bar and started heading for the door, even though she was still covered in flour and sprinkles. Let everyone see how ridiculous she looked, Antique was just so happy!

Now was hardly the time to start crying about the past. Rayne turned back around and nodded silently to Antique, just barely hearing the girl's quiet question, and stepping toward her lightly. "I'd love to stick around." She reaffirmed with a smile.
Rayne chuckled at the mention of needing new supplies, grinning wildly. They'd certainly used a fair bit of her things in their fun little spat. Though, Antique started off covered in the ingredients still, which prompted Rayne to rush over to her and gently tap her on the shoulder. "Um, sweetie, I think I should clean you up first." Rayne stated with a light, playful chuckle. "I'm magic, remember? Just hold onto something heavy and I'll do the rest!" The blonde added, scanning around for something properly held down.

Antique was so wrapped up in going out on the town, looking foolish as she was still covered with flour, powdered sugar, and sprinkles, that she just did not mind what she looked like. After all, well, Rayne had eaten a rather good deal of what she had in stock, and there was not much to carry her over into the next day. She could have just hiked the prices up because usually the demand was so high, but she was afraid she'd push customers away.
"Is...is it really that bad...?" she said quietly, and observed her outfit, not really thinking that her uniform being covered was too awful.
She quickly glanced around the bakery for something heavy, and ended up leaning up against the bar because it was made of some kind of heavy wood and was properly bolted to the ground. "Will...will this work...?"
