The events that happened next were experienced in a blur for her. Her body knew she was being led somewhere, and her steps were automatic and clumsy, though her mind was elsewhere.
What do you think, Tiki? Do you like it? Mama bought a bakery! We'll be the best bakers ever!
You're just the cutest little girl ever! Don't ever grow up!
Run...
It came to the point that she was overwhelmed with all sorts or emotions that her legs just would not carry her anymore. She stood very still, and just sort of gradually slumped to the floor in the shelter they had taken to. Her eyes were somewhere far away, thinking of all the memories that had been made behind those walls--that mold that had formed her. She could not comprehend how something like that had happened. Not in the slightest.
"How are you holding up?"
Antique glanced up at him, her red eyes watery red pools. She was crying. And scared. She did not know what to do next. This was not like the last time, when there were arms that spirited her away into Traverse Town. Now she was stuck. With nowhere to go. Everything she had was--well, there.
Still, she forced herself to smile, though it did not reach up to her eyes. "I...I think I'm okay..." she said quietly, her voice no more than a forced squeak. Tears fell down her cheeks, and she quickly went to wipe them with the back of her hand. That was funny...they weren't stopping...
W-why wouldn't they stop? She looked at her tear stained hands, and they just came even more. Without even thinking, her hands covered her eyes as a sob wracked through her body.

He hated this. This feeling of being useless, like nothing you could do would make things any better. He hated seeing Antique like this. If he could he would go back there and find some way to help, some way to make things all better. He wanted to hit something, to tear something apart but that wouldn't do any good. Gene took a deep breath to calm his nerves and to also make sure he didn't do anything stupid that would just make things worse. He had to be himself and not get too overwhelmed, he let that happen too often.
Just from looking at Antique he could tell that her words were fake. He walked over to her and got down on one knee and place one hand on her shoulder and the other on the side of her face. He moved her hands and raised her head to make sure she was making eye contact with him. "Don't lie to me, Antique. I can tell you're not okay," He said gently as he wiped away her tears. Gene kept a bright and warm smile on his face as he began to speak. "I know things are hard right now, trust me I know how you feel but I know you're going to get through this," His words were genuine as he said them.
"We're going to go back and find whatever survived and we'll find you a new home to make memories in. But you've got to remember that all those good times you've had in there live on in you and will never die as long as they're in here," He pointed to Antique's heart and then hugged her as tight as he could, he didn't want to let go. "Everything is going to be alright. I'm so sorry I couldn't help more but I'm going to make everything better I swear it," He meant every word he said and would die before he let something not let him keep his word. They would wait here a bit longer before Gene would try and find another place to go.

The green haired girl tried her very best to calm down, but it was a struggle to do so. Every time she thought she had herself somewhat collected, another wave of sobs went through her. She had just about lost everything now. That was a hard fact to wrap her head around.
Gene had pulled her hands away from her face, only to reveal that her face had been soaked with tears. This was despair that he was looking at. She looked up at him questioningly, and for a moment, tried very hard to be strong. At least in front of him. The moment did not last very long as he pulled her into a hug and she just completely lost it. She was thankful for the comfort and clung to his shirt, burying her face in his chest as sobs shook through her like an earthquake.
After a couple minutes, she was able to collect herself enough to pull away enough to wipe her eyes with the back of her hands. She hiccupped, more or less frustrated because she was not able to do anything about her home becoming destroyed. Is this the only thing the weak could do...?
She hung her head a little bit as she tried to get her voice back.
"You know...I vaguely remember something like this happening a long time ago..." she hiccupped.

Gene was running many things through his head and trying to make a plan for their next move. Antique had nowhere to stay now. Well, Gene's home was still intact so she would stay there until he managed to fix up her home. He'd do one hell of a job fixing it and find out who was the one that destroyed her home and make them pay for it. Never again did he want to see her like this, his heart was aching just looking at her. All he could do was stare at the door and contemplate everything that had happened.
He was taken out of his thought when Antique pulled away from him. She must have felt terrible, Gene surely knew how she felt. If anything were to happen to Destiny Island or even Traverse Town, Gene wouldn't know what to do with himself. A part of him felt like he had nothing to complain or say seeing how his homes were fine. Damn, this made him feel terrible even thinking he knew what Antique was going through right now. Did this make him a bad person? Whatever the answer to that question was it wouldn't change how Gene felt, like a terrible person.
When Antique had spoken about remembering something like this happening before it made Gene think for a moment. Gene knew that he had met Antique before but he couldn't put it together. He thought about it hard before he realized something. "The day that the heartless attacked all those years ago I met you. I think I helped you when you got separated from your family. I can't exactly remember everything but I think that's how I know you, how I'm sure we've met before," Gene explained as he kept running the events in his head, trying to remember everything.

Antique pulled her legs into her chest, a habit that she did to calm herself down and collect herself. It was also a great thing to do when you were hiding--to make yourself as small as possible. Tears were still gently cascading from her eyes, though they had slowed down to a mere trickle. She thought quietly about what her next step was going to be. Go back to the bakery and find her things? She'd at the very least have to go back and find her Father's sword.
She laid her head in her knees, further trying to calm herself down, to think clearly. This was not the first time things had gone haywire. Just needed a plan. A good one, at least, for the moment being. It was just a little bit ironic, especially with what she had told a customer the other day.
Be careful what you wish for.
She looked up at Gene, drying her eyes on the back of her hand.
"I think that's where we met before...It was so long ago," she whispered, and shut her eyes to concentrate. "It's just a little strange...that's something I think I'd be able to remember a little bit clearer," she said quietly, raising her hands to her head.
She remembered a boy who had dragged her into a hiding place while the Heartless had first bombarded Radiant Garden--a boy who held her hand as he tried to help her look for her mother, though she already knew she had deceased to exist. He watched as his lips had moved...and then, things were starting to get dark. Very dark.
Her eyes snapped open.

As Gene thought about the events of long ago he walked over to Antique and sat next to her. Why were the memories hazy? It seems that anytime he tried to remember that even things got hazy, why was that? It was like something was trying to block out his memories, like a part of him wanted to forget everything that happened. That wasn't surprising, it was a traumatizing even, Gene would be surprised if his sister remembered the day at all. Knowing her though she probably would, his sister did have a thing for remembering all details of a situation but still they were very young.
He sat and listened to Antique speak and things were starting to come back to him. He remembered helping a girl finding somewhere to hide and then trying to mind her mother. After that though everything was a blank. Why?! Why did everything go blank? What was stopping him from remembering everything? "I'm sorry, that's all I can remember," Gene said regrettably as he stared down at the ground, feeling pretty useless. This wasn't the time to mop around, they should move, go to a different world and cool off. Where could they go? Where should they go?
Gene figured anywhere was better than here but it might be hard to get Antique to move if she was still traumatized from what happened. He looked over to her and noticed her eyes snap open. "Antique! Are you alright?! Listen I think we should get out of here. Go to a different world and just think about things there," He said to her as he moved from being beside her to in front of her. Gene would then grab her hands and call her name again, worried that something was wrong with her. All he wanted was for this day to be over.

The further Antique tried to remember back toward the past, the more her head began to hurt. It was very strange. Of all the things, why could she not remember her interactions with Gene? Her eyes had snapped open, and she heard Gene's concerned voice.
She felt fine, but it was just strange how everything went dark.
"A different world...?" she asked quietly. She looked up at him, confused as to why he looked so concerned about her. She looked pale--the day was just exhausting emotionally to her. Smiling weakly, she looked up at him, "Why do you look so...?" she said quietly, her sentence trailing off. Her eyes shut of their own violation, and soon her head drooped in front of her.
She struggled to open her eyes again, and tried to focus on Gene, "I'm sorry," she said, "...But for some reason I just feel so...sleepy..."
Perhaps a different world was a good idea, indeed.

It was definitely time to get out of here. Not only was this world in current chaos and Gene would come back to make sure that nothing terrible continued to happen but now he had to get her out of here. "It's alright, Antique. Don't worry about it, everything will be fine alright," Gene said as he stood. He took a moment to look outside and see how things were. Still, there was fighting going on out there so Gene didn't want to go too far from Antique. He wanted more than anything to know what was going on out there but now wasn't the time.
He walked back in and kneeled down next to Antique. "Go ahead and take a nap," He whispered to her as he began to pick her up. What world should he take her too? He didn't think it mattered all that much as long as the world was a nice and safe one. Thinking about it for a second he came up with the best world to take her too. Though once he got there he'd have to explain the citizens and possibly the King why he was there. They're nice people so it wouldn't be too hard.
There were no more words to say or plans to make. Gene had everything figured out and all that was left was to get out of here. A part of him felt bad for leaving his world yet again during a moment of turmoil but he had no choice. She was more important right now and he would be damned if he let anything happen to her. Those moments for long ago came rushing back to Gene and made it clear how he knew here. They were both children of Radiant Garden and they had to look out for each other.
[Gene has exited the thread. End thread]
