There were some mages and thieves, some other keybladers and mysterious figures. It was great to have such a diverse group of friends that were out helping her get rid of these objects that were plaguing the worlds. It was partially her fault that the ray had touched all the worlds. So, she had to figure out which worlds were affected so that she could get the help to fix things. The woman was walking happily around the town, checking the shops in town. She loved to shop and buy new items and equipment when possible. Sadly, she was low on funds and couldn't afford any of these cool gizmos. The blonde keyblader pouted a bit, wandering across the town. That's when she ran into some heartless. Why did they always have to pop up in her starter posts!? It didn't matter, the blonde was caught off guard and was attacked as she summoned her keyblade. It rolled across the cobblestone and slide away from her a bit. She started to scramble to her feet in response. "Hey! Time out! No fair!" She shouted, working to re-summon her keyblade to her hand, backing up and away from the heartless that had appeared. She hadn't had a chance to count them yet. [/style]

It had been a long while since the Nightmare had visited this world where the twilit skies seemed to cease changing. Did the skies ever change from the brilliant warm colors of twilight to the cool blues of day or the darker colors of night? The Nightmare had never seen day or night here in this world so she assumed that it was a special attribute to this world. It was called Twilight Town after all.

She had arrived by Corridor to Darkness[/color] the unpopulated part of the world where the citizens wouldn’t panic or give her strange looks. Covering her head with her hood, Selena began her trek toward the somewhat busy market area of the world where she remembered of a delicacy, sea salt ice cream, that was native to this world. Hm. Maybe if I have some extra munny then I’ll look into it. mused the dark keybearer as she went through to buy the minimal supplies that she needed.

After the keybearer was done, she considered buying the ice cold snack, but decided against it. The Nightmare might need the munny for an unexpected expense for later on. So Selena continued to explore the city a bit until she heard the shouts crying out not fair and the clatter of a sword. The presence she felt was strange but she also sensed darkness. Heartless? Here? wondered Selena as she went off to investigate. Then at a safe distance in the shadows where her own presence was hidden she saw the girl cornered by mere shadows with a keyblade in her own hand. For some odd reason, the keyblade did not surprise her one bit. Pathetic. She must have just gotten her blade. mused the dark keybearer irritated as she pressed her back and wings against the wall, What to do…Can’t just leave her to her own devices…

Mentally sighing, Selena decided to help the brat anonymously by silently summoning her Umbra Wolf’s Fang[/color] to the fray. Sensing her intentions, the oversized wolf of darkness immediately charges at the Heartless and leaping at one of them to take a chomp at its abdomen. Her wolf’s presence had a chance of startling the girl but she was confident that with her summon there, she won’t be harmed. While Umbra had his fun, the dark keybearer slinked off while she remained unnoticed, and away from the fight. This wasn’t her battle after all, but it didn’t mean that she could lend some assistance.

That was truly one amazing thing about her weapon. A normal sword would skid away and you'd have to go and collect it. A keyblade could easily be resummoned to a hand. It kept things safer and it was a better thing for her. She quickly swung her keyblade and took out two of the heartless before this wolf came out of nowhere. The blonde keyblader let out a LOUD squeak as she jumped back defensively, afraid she'd have to fight him too. But instead, it attacked and managed to handle a heartless on it's own. The blonde grinned, "OH! GOOD PUPPY!!" She cooed before she went back to handling the others. She used her Strike Raid on a group before the heartless were finally dispatched. Azalea let out a relieved sigh before dismissing her keyblade and smiling at the wolf. "Thank you so much. I don't think I would have made it without your help!" She grinned bright at the wolf before standing up to look up to it's level and offering an open palm to the dog. "Are you lost? Hm?" She asked, wanting more than anything to hug the puppy and fuss over him. He looked SO cuddly! OOC: Yes, yes I did. [/style]

The wolf of darkness had been amused that it had scared or at least startled the newbie girl that its master ordered to temporarily help out. Another Heartless then jumped at its back after Umbra had taken care of the first Heartless but the wolf merely fell on its side and rolled over it causing the Heartless to become crushed immediately. It scrambled back to its feet and shook itself off. It narrowed its eyes at Azalea and flattened its ears against its head before snarling, seemingly offended. Did the brat really just call it a ‘good puppy’?

Pretending to sniff Azalea’s palm, Umbra then purposely sneezed into the palm, and turned around then trotted away to find Selena. It raised its head and sniffed the air for her scent before taking off in a full-on sprint to catch up to the hooded woman who had thankfully not wandered too far off. Its head nudged her hand then gave her a look as if saying it does not ever want to do that again. It could see her kindly smile under the hood and then knelt, offering its mistress a ride. Although the wolf of darkness had ever been summoned into battles and fights, just seeing that smile made it feel lighter though it did briefly wonder why she only smiled so rarely if at all.

“Why not.” mused the cloaked woman as she climbed onto its back and it stood up, walking away. The scene left the nearby civilians who had been watching flabbergasted and the dark keybearer could feel the strange looks staring at them, but had stopped caring a long time ago. If there was a problem, that was their deal and not hers. She did not give them any eye content and kept her eyes looking forward. The hooded woman leaned forward to whisper in Umbra’s ear and briefly her hand scratch behind it, immediately finding its ‘weak’ spot. “C’mon, we got one more stop before we can call it a day…” She then patted its head as the dark wolf trotted toward another part of Twilight Town.

She was hoping he'd be alright with her and that she could actually pet the big dog. The keyblader was pretty fond of animals, especially ones that appeared and rescued her! That's when it sneezed into her hand she made a face. "Ew...." It was kind of gross, but when you have to sneeze, you have to sneeze. That's when it about faced and wandered off. ".....Hey! Wait up! Where are you going?" She asked, quickly removing her gross glove and moving to follow the dog. It sped up and she thought she lost it before she heard a voice. The girl turned her head to see a hooded woman climb up on the wolf. She had to stop briefly to catch her breath before failing her arms, waving her one glove. "Hey! Wait up! I really can't keep up this pace!!" She stopped, taking a seat on the cobblestone. OOC: Yes, yes I did. [/style]

The dark wolf had assumed that the girl would be so grossed out by the snot in her glove that she would give up any idea of pursuing it to go wash the gross boogers off the glove. It never expected her to simply take it off and going after it Heck, Umbra believed that it had initially lost Azalea until it heard her calling out in the back. The dark wolf flattened its ears as it felt its master’s frown searing through the top of its head and whined a bit. The hooded woman sighs and rubs the bridge of her nose. She didn’t need to glance over shoulder to see who had been following them.

“Change of plan…” muttered ‘Artemis’ quietly so Umbra could hear but there was the hint of a smile in her voice. “Let’s go for a run and see how well the Little One can keep up.” Umbra’s ears perked up and suddenly bolts with its master on its back. The hooded woman relaxes her body and leans forward to help gain speed as she tightened her grip on the little dark tufts of “fur” on the wolf’s neck. Her legs and feet raise a bit and clings to the wolf’s sides.

“Around the perimeter of the general area then to the woods.” directed the hooded woman as the wolf ran and passed by many shocked citizens around the city. She didn’t doubt that Azalea was still coming after them. After the initial run, they barely fit through the crack in the wall that led to the woods. Selena slowly stood up on the wolf before ascending onto one of the higher branches of one of the trees. The wolf disappeared into the darkness as she climbed onto a higher branch. And now to wait but I doubt that she’ll come… mused the dark keybearer as she leaned back against the trunk of the tree.

The blonde knew she couldn't keep up and let out a defeated sigh. It seemed she'd never get to thank that woman for helping her out. She'd set her overgrown puppy to rescue her. After a bit of breathing, she shuffled to her feet. "Maybe I can still find her in town..." She stated, moving quickly but not running as she asked townsfolk where the woman on the dog had went. She had been corrected a few times that it was a wolf or a beast. But, Azalea was happy calling it a dog or giant puppy. She peeked around ever corner before learning the woman had gone through the big crack in the wall. "A-are you sure?" The blonde asked the townswoman. She nodded and told her to beat it. "....That's mean to say...." Azalea finally moved into the forest, peeking in from the crack first. She started to walk slowly, making her way to each tree and looking first. "Hello? Miss Dog Lady?" She asked. "Um.... Are you here?" She continued her slow progression into the woods. She didn't like the feeling of this place one bit.

Meanwhile as Azalea wandered around Twilight Town in search of her, the dark keybearer remained where she was. In fact during the time Azalea was searching for her, she was taking a nap on top of the branch. Of course Selena had already taken some safety precautions that involved removing her own cloak to wrap it around her thighs and the branch she was sitting on and tying it into a double knot so that she somehow leaned the wrong direction, the cloak would prevent her from falling. Her wings hugged herself more so for comfort like a feathery, warm blanket and so that they wouldn’t be crushed by the tree behind her. The dark keybearer nearly blended well in the darkness of the leaves above the ground.

By the time Azalea had gone over to the forest, Selena had decided taken a nap on top of the branch and was fast asleep. She needed it though as the dark keybearer hadn’t slept well in the past few days and had originally planned to sleep at a lodging today but apparently after ‘helping’ out the brat, that wasn’t going to happen. However as the keybearer failed to hear Azalea calling out for her, more Heartless forms began to appear on the ground near the new keybearer and immediately started to surround her. Selena was definitely not going to help her this round.

Not a soul was in sight in this darker forest. The blonde let her eyes cast to the ground as she let out a defeated sigh. This was the only area in town that she had not checked. The local had even said that the woman with the animal had gone in this direction. 'So much for finding her and thanking her, I suppose...' The keybearer continued to walk wondering if maybe she was deeper in the woods. She took careful steps, watching where she was going. She didn't want to trip or anything in her movements. 'No, she has to be in here somewhere. It only makes sense that she's here. Oh! Maybe that woman went towards that mansion! It could be possible that she live there, right?' She prattled off in her head. She had not walked far as she saw the home in the distance. What she hadn't expected was to be ambushed again. The girl jumped as she was quickly surrounded. It was annoying being a keyblade wielder some days. Being out in the open made it easier for the creatures to sense her and it was frustrating. She much preferred not having to fight these creatures every step. They were like zubats in a cave or something! Azalea summoned Heart's Birth to her hand, quickly lashing out at the first heartless. She had no plans on getting caught off guard again. The creatures were a bit more powerful than she was used to. The girl took a bit to finally kill one of the creatures. The blonde jumped and rolled out of the way of one. However, when she moved to get back to her feet, she was scratched and knocked back. "Ouch!" She grumbled, rubbing her arm. She quickly used her Strike Raid on the one that attacked her, now deciding she needed to use her abilities to win this match. She couldn't lose to some heartless.

The ‘somewhere’ that the blonde keybearer was searching for wasn’t at the mansion or even on the ground surface of the forest itself. If she had ever bothered to look upward to where the twilit skies should've been, then perhaps maybe Azalea would’ve found the dark keybearer she had been looking for catching up on much needed sleep on top of one of the branches. Perhaps it did not occur to the newbie keybearer child that the woman didn't wish to be found and that she wanted to be left alone?

Like a child who had found a safe hidey hole where she can rest in peace, the winged woman appeared rather snug and comfortable despite the chaos that went on below her. The dark feathers of her wings provided a strange familiar warmth that she had grown used to over the decade that she had to learn how to carry their weight on her back and their possible other uses other than flight. Selena's own basic survival knowledge, her keyblade and her wolves have kept her alive for this long.

As for why the Heartless came into the forest, there was a few variety of reasons such as the Heartless meant to search for the woman sleeping in the trees; but had found Azalea instead right at that instant deeming it coincidence. Since they were both keyblade wielders, their own weapons of choice were literal candles to the moths such as these Heartless. The Heartless are perfectly capable of sensing the Heart's many capabilities such as the large amount of darkness that rested in Selena's own Heart and perhaps the light in Azalea's. A great amount of either element would also attract these dark creatures to them.

An annoying but deemingly important part of the woman's sleeping habits was that not only she was a light sleeper; but she is an extremely dangerous one at that. Azalea could've even ask a certain Crimson Champion or his best friend if this was true if it weren't for the for the fact that the woman was already awake and going through the motions of her assault. Without any conscious thought, the dark keybearer folds back her wings and summons her blade, pointing it downward at a diagonal angle toward the ground to where Azalea and the Heartless were. From her position in the trees, she fires Void Exinction at the Heartless and even the girl herself before promptly unsummoning the blade and wraps her wings around herself to return to the slumber she seeked. Whether or not the girl was skilled enough to block it or even smart and fast enough get out of the way depended on her.

Well, not that there was any sky to see in this forest. The trees were tall and well grown. She couldn't see the sky even if she wanted to. There was also no reason to be looking up in her opinion. The camera only panned so far for you to look up. Plus, it was easier to be ambushed. Then again, the ambushing didn't matter as she was a tad bit busy. She had been ambushed already and there were more than she was used to. She knew that more than not appeared with a keyblade. But this area seemed to be sending more of them and the heartless were even stronger than most other areas she had been to. So, she had to rely on her own strength. The keyblader continued her assault on the keybladers, combo-ing her attacks in order to do a little more damage with less effort on her part. She ducked low and charged the group, quickly casting Barrier Surge. She dashed at her opponents, taking a nice gash of their HP. She turned to continue her assault when she noticed a dark flash coming straight at her and the heartless. There wasn't enough time to dodge, so she quickly used one of her favorite abilities. Within an instant, Confuse Barrier appeared around her, protecting her from one single attack. The Void Extinction hit the group, not damaging her. Her barrier came down and she blinked to see if the barrier had it's added effect or not before looking up. Her eyes came upon the woman from earlier. "HEY! TRY AND BE MORE CAREFUL!!"

The yell from the girl had once again woken the woman attempting to sleep above in the tree. From her position on the tree, Selena looks over her shoulder and glares down at the brat keybearer who had managed to summon a barrier to preserve her own well-being against the Void Extinction[/color]. If the dark keybearer had been more awake, then the woman might have been a bit impress at the display but right now, the girl was just a little more than an annoyance.

Untying double knot made by the sleeves of her cloak, her dark wings quickly folded against her back as the dark keybearer leaned forward and stood up after the knot was untied. As she puts on the cloak, a flash caught the corner of her eyes as the projectiles of Azalea's Confuse Barrier flew past her and grazing the tree's side behind her, leaving a permanent scar on the trunk. Her ears caught a yell from behind that she should be more careful causing Selena to smirk only by the slightest.

The heels turned a full three-sixty on the branch causing the bark to crumble and fall to the ground. The dark keybearer replaced the hood on her head to hide and looked down at the girl to get a good look at the one who managed to find her. "Heartless at two o'clock." stated the hooded woman to warn her of the Heartless that was still around. Then she turned around once again, summoning a Corridor to Darkness[/color] in front of her and stepping through it to successfully leave Twilight Town. The Corridor closed right behind her.

She had saved her butt earlier, but now she was being a pain in her butt. Thankfully, the Void Extinction had killed some of the heartless which made Azalea's job a little easier. But the woman in the tree was obviously a keyblader and should have been helping with the clean up. Azalea also wanted to talk to her about helping fight evil. The woman seemed strong enough. The woman moved a bit, causing some pieces of the tree to fall. But, Azalea was focusing on the heartless fighting her. She swung her blade carefully, taking out another the creatures as it lunged at her. Azalea looked up at her when given the warning. She spun, defending herself from the attack. She killed that heartless after she countered and glanced back up with a smile. "Thanks, miss!" But, she blinked. No one was there except a fading corridor. "H-HEY!!! W-WAIT!! No fair!" She let out a defeated sigh. So much for recruiting her. The blonde moved and killed the remainder of the heartless before dismissing her keyblade and stretching. "Well THAT was a failure....Maybe I need to change my strategy." She glanced back up at the tree branch before starting back off towards town. "I'm sure I'll see her again!" She reassured before she wandered off.
