Don't go in the Elephant Graveyard, he said! It's DANGEROUS, he said! Well! WE DIDN'T GO TO THE GRAVEYARD! IT CAME TO US! Members: 3-5 Beings Award for Completion: 200 Munny
There was a silence across the Pride Lands. The fog that normally settled in the Elephant Graveyard had started to drift into the normal boundaries of Simba's territories. The residents of the world made sure to stay out of that area. However, some of the hyaenas had even taken off out of the area with their tail between their legs.
In the distance a loud stomping could be heard. It was not coming from inside the Elephant graveyard. Maybe the heroes that had appeared should be heading into the fog and find out what was going on.
Posting Order:Mission Mod, Rosa, Whatever, Zidane, then Cloud.
Sharp, green eyes, eyed the foreboding fog, a gentle nose sniffed the air as soft sounds of pitter-pattering footsteps can be heard on the barren land. Rosa inclined her head, determined to see through the hazy fog, her tail swishing in curiosity yet her instincts telling her to yield. She reveled at her form; wondering what sort of magical enchantments made her another being, yet it surprised her that she felt naturally fluid, like she was like this all along.
She took a hesitant step forward, a vulture can be seen circling above her head, and she eyed it; wondering if it was there to pick up her remains lest she decide to venture inside and come out scathed beyond comparison, but she shook those morbid thoughts away.
'That fog, it...it is calling me...'She walked towards the Elephant Graveyards. throwing caution to the wind but still quite wary.
"And why is it that the air is so quiet?"She murmured, surprised at the usage of her voice. She moves forward, her body as a fox agile, her golden fur glinting in the light that managed to seep through the thickness, and she waited, waited for something to happen.

With a vulture's eyes yellow and black feathered body, he really looked like a Heartless now. Somehow he still had some messy hair on his head while his body seemed mostly ravaged and scarred. Possibly due to all the scars and ripped clothes he had, keeping up the theme, the black vulture sighed as he stood in a broken tree.
Looking ahead at all the fog, the Heartless recalled being sent there, so he was just looking about. Helping a Keybearer again, he snorted a little while trying to pull a grin with his beak, what kind of Heartless am I? He spread both wings, his left wing being rather damaged and missing pieces possibly due to him missing two fingers. Then his flapped both wings and flew low by the ground forward as he wasn't certain if he was going to be able to keep himself in the air all that well with the bad wing.
When arriving and finding himself in the body of a vulture, the Heartless had first worked at getting used to the new body and learning how to move and fly about. Now having grown more used to it, he started to fly into the fog in search for the elephant graveyard. Well, from what I understood, it... ran off or something... [/style]

Damn this place! What had it done to him?! He woke up in a bit of a daze. It all looked normal at first, until he tried to stand. He was already short to begin with, now he found himself even less that! Were were his daggers?! He spun around a few times only to realize his entire body was covered in his fur. His tail bristled as a strange eek sound escaped him in surprise. No way! The thief looked around frantically before his eyes came upon a pool of water. He inched closer.. The small, nearly dried up pool reflected exactly what he was afraid of. T-these places!! They had really weird magic that his body was so unused to! He reached up as his now, bare, rough fingers came upon strands of fur in the stead of hair. His face was a short muzzle and defined canines made his strange form complete.
"Shiiiiit! I'm a monkey!" He grabbed the sides of his head and fell backwards flat on his arse. He really, truly was a monkey! His bros would have him by the tail if they ever found this out! What kind of sick joke was this!? Damn this world to the furthest ends of the Moons!
Before he could complain further on his predicament a strange feeling hit him which caused his tail to fluff up, and annoyingly enough so did the rest of his body! He turned his head as his azure eyes narrowed in focus. There was some weird fog up ahead. Was it Mist? Maybe it was the reason he turned out like this? He sneered down at his current form as he stood awkwardly on his legs. He reached at his chest and tugged at the fur. He was reluctant, but where there was Mist there was trouble. With a hop, several of them, he made his way toward the strangely familiar air.
When he drew nearer his hopping lob slowed. He smacked his hand to the ground and rolled into a front flip before he landed on his legs. The monkey waddled forward tentatively. He was highly cautious, all considering the state of Mist in his homeworld. He can't quite recall how he got here. It was all fuzzy. Was it the Mist? The monkey sniffed into the air and tilted his head to give a good listen. He was no fool so did not rush into the Mist without his daggers. He would look around what appeared to be a graveyard. the cautious monkey picked up a discarded bone. He felt unsafe without a weapon.
"What in the Moons' names..." The thieving monkey looked around. This place was really creepy and sent a shiver down his spine, to the tip of his tail. This place was no good, no good at all.

Before reaching this world suffering the consequences of being in it, Cloud Strife had been around riding around in his motorcycle, Fenrir, trying his hand at playing detective. The revival of Ruby WEAPON and Scarlet spooked him a little. This was not something Cloud was willing to leave up in the air. He was not content with simply dismissing it, believing it to be some freak accident that those two denizens of evil simply had a common goal and was simply out for mindless revenge on the world. No, Cloud had a huge hunch that their revival was intentional and that it was all a part of some huge plan...Cloud just had to find out what it was. Sure, he sounded like a crazed man always looking over his shoulder but at the same time, he had been through far too much to accept things at face value. There was a reason for everything, and in this case, there was a very deep reason as to why Scarlet had been revived and had formed a synergistic bond with Ruby WEAPON.
Cloud had the First Tsurugi and the five attachments for it in his back sheath. He wasn't sure about what was going to happen, he wasn't sure if he was going to run into another WEAPON or another super powered individual bent on destroying Gaia. Cloud, at this point, wondered why everyone wanted to destroy this particular world. It was getting out of hand in his eyes. The obsession over Cloud's home world was utterly ridiculous. Cloud had been lost in thought before suddenly he found a portal of many colors before him. The problem was, he was coming at it with high speed. Cloud tried to turn away from it but by the time he noticed it was all too late. Soon, Cloud went through the portal and tumbled out from the portal into the middle of nowhere. Cloud had fallen off of his bike after losing control in trying to turn away from the portal.
As soon as Cloud entered this new world, he felt strange from the very beginning. When he tried to stand up on his two feet, he ended up falling back down on all fours. Cloud looked to his hands...but didn't find hands...instead, he found paws. Cloud widened his eyes, shocked at his transformation. Cloud then found that he had a tail. Cloud tried to get his reflection, he tried to see what he looked like so he raced to his shiny new bike that had been a couple of feet away from him. He looked closely at the glossy paint...and found the face of a lion. Cloud screamed a little in disgust and surprise. What the heck happened?! Cloud pawed his face, he couldn't believe this. Why was he an animal?! What type of world was this?! Was he cursed?! Cloud looked all around him to find animals of different sort, were there no people here?
Cloud sighed in despair. He had to get out of here. Cloud dug into his pocket to find his Dissidia crystal...he could use it to travel to different worlds. Of course, he couldn't grip the crystal so he scooped it up with his paw and it fell out of his pocket. He then picked it up with his mouth and he put his paws on Fenrir to make sure that his bike goes with him but then...something caught his eye...there was an ominous fog to the right of him. Cloud looked to the fog and he tried to pay it no mind...but the fog did not look good to him. It just didn't feel normal and due to the fact that Cloud just couldn't leave it there...especially given his power...Cloud sighed, knowing that it was his responsibility to go and check it out. Cloud let his Dissidia crystal fall from his mouth and he scooped it up with his paw and maneuvered his paw to have the crystal fall into his pocket. Cloud then walked into the fog, knowing that if he sees something strange or evil, then he would have to fix, especially if no one else that was "special" was not there at the time.
Cloud walked through stoically and calmly. He walked into what appeared to be a graveyard. Cloud wasn't really scared; he has faced worse. Besides...he was used to the dark vibe that he was getting from this place as he walked through the air slowly. Cloud looked all around him to see animal carcasses and bones everywhere. As Cloud walked along...he found a monkey with a bone in its hand. He wondered if the monkey knew anything at all or if he was was the cause of it all. Cloud couldn't believe that he was about to interrogate a monkey. However, it was not like he had much choice anyway. If the monkey could take, perfect, if he couldn't, fine, for he would find the cause of the ominous fog himself. He figured since he was an animal like this monkey he was approaching, he would just play it cool and normal as he possibly could. Although, given the fact that he was a lion...he wasn't quite sure of how this would all play out. Cloud hoped it would all play out ok. Cloud walked over to the right of the monkey...and casually began to talk.
"So...you wouldn't happen to know anything about this fog...would you...?", Cloud cryptically asked as he looked at the monkey next to him.

The group slowly made their way into the fog. It was thick and hard to see much of anything from inside of it. It rolled out further into the Pride Lands, starting to spill and head towards Pride Rock. If something was to be done, the group would need to band together in order to stop the threat.
That's when there was a loud sound along with a faint vibration of the earth. It was eerie at first, and hard to identify at first. The stomps became louder and more powerful the longer the group stood still. However, that's when it made it's signature noise. Was there an elephant lost in the fog?
However, if the group moved in for a closer inspection, it was much worse than they thought. What was moving towards them from the Elephant Graveyard was something that should have stayed there. Emerging from the thick fog was a large elephant skeleton. It looked very similar to Dr. Finkelstein's reindeer from Halloween Town. This creature had to be an effect from the fright enhancer that went haywire. Pride Lands was one of the infected worlds and a bunch of bones had decided to wreck havoc on the world.
The creature did not wait for an introduction, however. It had been awake from it's eternal rest and it was not happy. The creature stormed at the first thing it saw, using Stomp. The creature was stomping around that anyone could be caught up in the shockwaves. So, whoever was getting close would need to be careful.
"What was that?"Rosa squinted through the fog; willing her new set of eyes to be sharp enough to notice the shape that was emerging. What she saw made her eyes widen; a skeleton? An Undead creature? what is this?! She fumbled for her bow and arrows; the equipment mercifully being saved and decorating her animal back. She gripped them the best she could with her paws, although the arrows started slipping when she applied too much pressure.
"Curses!" The lady hissed, throwing away the useless weapons. Her body wouldn't let her grip the equipment the best she could, and the figure was getting nearer, ready to maybe charge at her or something else. She looked around, seeing two more creatures next to her and started to panic; she cannot let them perish as well.
As the creature started to bring it's foot down, a thought clicked in place inside her mind. She bit the weapons she discarded and bounded towards the monkey and the lion, her eyes alert and wide. She discarded the weapons next to them and wondered if she could still cast magic, warning them on about what was to come.
"Ask later!" She exclaimed, standing before them and muttering incantations, casting Float to protect them from the shocks of the ground

Let alone the loud sounds, all of it told him that there was something up ahead, something large at that. The increasingly louder stomps made the Heartless fly a bit higher, wondering if he was more in danger low by the ground than when he was in the air. The thick fog was bothering him as well and his sensing skills didn't really detect much in the heart classification. He, however, did find three others.
The vulture started to move in their direction, since it was better than going headlong into danger by himself. Unless these three were the problems. Then he could make out something bony... what the... a colossal skeleton? The vulture was shocked as he flapped randomly and started to loose his position in the air.
The undead elephant he could see was stomping around and causing shockwaves. Up in the air, he couldn't really make out that much at the elephant's feet due to the fog, but he had thought the three others had to be somewhere down there. This fails like crap on a stick, the Heartless flew at the skull of the elephant as he attempted to create a weapon down at his talons.
Around the talons, swirls of Darkness appeared as slowly a Spiked Chain started to materialize. One talon was gripped on one end of the chain and he let the rest just hang as he dove at the skull in an attempt to hit it with the chain and maybe hit an eye-socket in the hopes to pull on the elephant's head. I wonder if I can dislodge the skull, making it headless... if that works for these things...

Zidane really had no idea what he was doing here, but he had to find a way out. H realyl hoped that plan did not include running [into the Mist. He looked to the bone in cautious inspection. Maybe of he split it and make two proper daggers? The bone itself was not very sharp, but if he split it in half it would gain a slicing edge. A voice soon reached his ears. It was an unfamiliar one. Wait, a voice? The monkey raised his head and turned around, bangs falling over his eyes. He could not help the soft chee ee sounds that escaped his lips. When he turned his eyes came upon the strange looking lion. It was some giant cat beast! He has never seen an animal like this before, even with his new travels. His tail raised in the air, the fur along the appendage fluffing out in his surprise. His azure eyes inspected the predator with more reserved curiosity than abject terror. Wait, it spoke? No, could it just be because he was now an animal he could understand him? That was just stupid. This 'lion' it wore... clothing? The monkey scratched at his butt with the bone.
The lion asked about the fog and caused the young monkey to take heed of it once more. It was really strange a place like this would have Mist. "It looks like Mist." At least to him. Mist had this strange feeling around it. He maneuvered the bone in his hand and looked to the strange guy. He was guessing, but it's likely he got affected by this weird Mist. "Wherever there's Mist, there's trouble." He gripped the bone with his dextrous fingers and snapped it. With a good crack he managed to split the bone into two distinct blades. Well it was not as strong as steel, but it would do.
He grinned at the lion guy and motioned his new weapons to his chest in a cocky manner. "Don't worry guy I got this--" He lost his words a moment when there was a strange feeling to go through his bare toes which lay against the dried out ground. Something was amiss. The ground began to rumble, to his surprise. A curse left the Monkey's lips as he tried to run from the impending quake.
A feminine sounding voice reached his ears, but as he looked up he was shocked when white magic filled the air. He was taken by surprise when he suddenly lost his footing. "W-what--?!" He felt his body become light as a familiar magic coiled around around his body. He was being floated?! "What the hell is goin' on?!" Something was really wrong, and it was coming from the Mist.
Cloud's encounter with the monkey didn't go as he had hoped...but it did go as he had expected. He expected the monkey to be shocked, given the fact that he was a lion and he was a monkey. Cloud sighed and shook his head in slight disappointment, his yellow mane waving from side to side. Cloud had hoped for a different outcome but hey, it was only logical that the monkey would act this way. Cloud's bright eyes met with the monkey's own eyes, Cloud was always one for eye contact, no matter who he was talking with. Back then, his old self couldn't look a person in the eye for more than three or four seconds. However, Cloud was a different man, now. His demons had been vanquished, his closet had been cleaned of its skeletons. Cloud was a more confident man, he was still a dark, quiet man. However, his spirit burned brighter. He was not as melancholy anymore, and he liked that about his new self. The monkey seemed to be just as curious about Cloud as Cloud was about the monkey. Cloud admitted to himself that he looked even stranger than the monkey, donning his black outfit, even though he was an animal.
Cloud found this monkey...interesting... Cloud watched with a slight sneer as this monkey scratched his behind with his "weapon". He told Cloud that this was Mist. Cloud raised an eyebrow to that... Of course, it's mist... The word "mist" was just another way of saying "fog"...unless he meant to refer to this fog, or rather "mist" as something so special that if one where to write the word down, it would be with written as "Mist". Cloud was told by the monkey that whenever there was mist...there was trouble. Cloud suspected this much, fog could make any place look eerie. Cloud kept his eyes on the monkey as he broke the bone with his bare hand, having it split into two. For this monkey to have been able to break bone with his bare hands...he had to have been every strong. Cloud wondered if the monkey protected this world, Cloud had never been here before; he wondered if this monkey was the guardian of this world or not?
Cloud, as he was being told by the monkey that he would handle this situation, had his facial expression lighten at the monkey's clearly cocky and optimistic attitude. He reminded him a lot of Tidus, a young man that he traveled with when he, Tidus and eight others served as the Warriors of Cosmos. Cloud remembered each and every member of that group, he even remembered when he fought against the Warriors of Cosmos as a Warrior of Chaos. The only people he had the fortunate chance of meeting again from those warring times was Squall, who known referred to be called Leon again and Tifa, who came to Cloud's rescue when he was fighting Sephiroth in Radiant Garden. Cloud wasn't sure where Tifa was now, but he had hoped that she was ok. A rumble in the ground broke Cloud's line of thought as he snapped his line of vision from the monkey to the direction that he felt a dark presence from.
Cloud then looked to see another animal, a small one compared to Cloud run toward him and the monkey. The animal, which seemed like a female animal, then cut Cloud off, who was about to ask what was going on. Some magic was cast and soon Cloud found himself floating in the air. He then looked to see a huge skeletal monster come their way. Cloud's eyes widened at the size of the undead beast that was stomping its way to Cloud and the denizens of this world that Cloud had found himself with.
"Run, get out of the way!!", Cloud yelled as he tries to move away from the skeletal beast.
Unfortunately, Cloud had never been in this state before, he was not bipedal and what was worse was that he was floating in midair...He tried to run but he just found himself running in place midair before he forced himself out of the way, bringing himself to the left. Cloud then instinctively tried to grab his weapon, The First Tsurugi, but due to him not having thumbs, he couldn't grab it. Cloud cursed his luck. What was he gonna do now?! It was then he found a bird flying toward the monster. He seemed to have a rope or chain of some sort and it looked like he was making a move to attack it. Cloud figured that he may not have been use his weapon...but he could still use his magic! Cloud tried to activate his Fire magic...he planned on using Firaga on this monster. He got himself to center his mind and focus on the enemy and as expected by Cloud, the fire materia began to glow in his left arm but then Cloud felt something building in him, it was coming through his throat and it was going to come out of his mouth. Cloud tried to hold it in but he could and when he opened his mouth, out came three huge fireballs that fired into the sky. Cloud closed his mouth in surprise, never thinking that that this magic would be cast in the way that it was. The three fireballs moved in quickly toward the beast's legs. Cloud was utterly shocked by the way this new body of his reacted. He had hoped that it reached his mark but he could never be too sure...
"Hey look out, get out of the way!!", Cloud yelled to the monkey and the other animal that cast the incantation upon the monkey and Cloud as well as herself. Cloud wasn't too sure if the fire attack would hit them or not. He hoped that it didn't. He realized that he should have said something before he cast the attack. Cloud was so used to fighting alone... Cloud knew that he was in big trouble if he couldn't find away to get to his weapons and hold them... Actions Used:
Action 1: Cloud moves to the left.
Action 2: Cloud casts Firaga awkwardly; causing the three fireballs to be fired at the legs of the beast.
Firaga: Cloud can use his Fire Materia to cast the strongest fire magic attack he has. With this magic attack, he can shoot three fireballs. However, they explode on contact with anything and they do spread out in an effort to cut off the opponent’s escape. ((3 post cooldown))
The creature let out another loud noise as he stomped about. Rosa had casted a float spell on the group. It's attack did nothing to affect the group at all. It was lucky that they had someone in their group that had float. This would render most of his earth attacks useless. Sadly, the creature wasn't intelligent enough to plan anything out. It would just react.
The vulture type bird swung some weapon that ended up getting hooked in his eyes socket. The pile of bones felt the discomfort as he swung his trunk violently to catch the chain or the bird to knock it out of the sky. At the very least, it would have knocked the spiked chain loose.
After this, that is when it noticed the flame hit it's legs. The creature was knocked back a bit by the hit before it focused it's full attention on the lion. Now free from the chain, it lowered it's head, tusks pointed at Cloud as it charged the lion head on. It the lion didn't move, this would probably REALLY hurt!
Hit with the spiked ball. Flails it's trunk to hit the chain or bird. At the least, gets loose of chain.
It was mayhem, the monstrous creature was flailing about, blindly, at the party before it. At least the vulture had the sense to fly some parts away, and Rosa didn't stand and watch herself. The beast had been his by the vulture's and, much to her amazement, the lion's attack of fireball. So they can use magic too, maybe they have a chance at this.
Rendering her weapons useless, the mage focused on using her supportive spells, even as strangers they do have a common foe; she will worry about the other animals being hostile later. After all, her new body allowed her to flee faster than her normal body could if the worse comes to it.
She turned just in time to see the skeleton point its massive tusks at the lion, knowing that the creature might not be able to move in time. She channeled her energy, timing her spell just in time with much more room for her to run just in case she misses, aiming at the solitary lion.
The spell was stronger if fired at a solitary being, but that rendered it unusable if anyone else in the fray needed it. But she thought the lion needed it more and she started to run, towards the monkey farther at the back, "Go!! Run!!!" She exclaimed, running past him just enough to get away from the rampaging beast but to stand by in case they needed her help. She wondered if the creature was undead, she might be able to strike it with Holy when all else fails.

Maybe this wasn’t such a good idea, were the Heartless’ first thoughts as he felt the pull on the chain and got thrown out of the air. Hitting the ground, he noticed others attempting to fight the skeletal elephant. Darkness swirled around his beak as he attempted a magic spell himself. Then a large rock was fired at the elephant as he used Stonera. The chain had vanished when he had hit the ground.

Shit, shit! This was no good. That thing was flailing around and seems to have caught another beast in the crossfire. A bird was taken from the air as suddenly as he was thrust into it. Azure eyes turned up then down. He spotted magic being cast. Whoa wait! What was going on?! A surprised chee left his mouth as he gripped one dagger in his left hand and the other in his right. He heard the other shout for him to get away. These were no ordinary animals. Was it because of the Mist? By the rampaging skeleton he could only guess it was. It was not uncommon for Mist to disturb the corpses of the long deceased. He had seen it first hand. Now there was no way he could get away. If it was Mist, these little guys were really in danger. Though he seemed to be the littlest. When the Vulture fell from the sky a horrifying power was ejected from its location. It seemed to be a sort of magic. Tossing rocks at a pile a bones may not do the trick and with the feathered friend grounded he could get trampled.
Zidane adjusted his weight a bit to test the motion of the float spell. It has been a while since it has been under his feet, but not an unfamiliar feeling. Shifting his weight he pushed forward, countering the magical lift beneath his feet. He pushed himself toward the target, sliding down toward the Vulture, which was in the mad skeleton's path. He was going for the weird, maned animal.
"Watch out! Get out of the way!" He shouted toward the vulture before he slid passed him, using the Float spell to his advantage. Cocky little bastard of a monkey grinned as he lunged toward the enemy. "Let the show begin!" The small beast would lunge at the skeleton's tusks. He reached out to grab the tusks with his feet and tail to swing himself and use the momentum to push the piercing strike out of the lion's path.
Even if he was not able to deter the strike, perhaps fiddling with its empty eye sockets would do well to piss if off? He would attempt to swing on the tusks and climb up so stab it with his makeshift bone daggers.
Action: Rushes forward in an attempt to push the elephant's tusks and climb along to stab it in its stupid face..
The Firaga had hit its mark successfully. Cloud had been glad that it didn't hit those that were helping him in this fight. He was still getting used to moving around in this new body of his. He found this all to be a really sick joke. Although, Cloud's team took a little damage. The vulture that helped had been knocked out of the sky, but the vulture was able to gather itself and launch another attack. Cloud. If Cloud could, he would have the beast only focus on him and him alone. He wanted to save the others if he could help it. He didn't want them getting hurt on his watch. Cloud, after launching the attack, thought of leading the monster away or drawing its fire so to speak. However, what Cloud soon realized was that his Firaga had made the beast angry and it was now gunning for Cloud. Cloud found the beast racing toward him with its horns, or rather tusks, pointed toward Cloud, attempting to gore Cloud with all of its might.
Cloud, with widened and surprised eyes being laid upon the angry beast, felt more magic cast upon him in an instant. He saw a transparent, crystal-like dome encase him and then disappear. Was this more of the magic of the animal that caused Cloud and the monkey with him to float in midair? In any case, Cloud knew that he had to move and move fast, or else he would be road kill. It was sudden but the monkey made a move as well. With a huge grin on his face, the monkey tried to veer the monster away from Cloud by his tusks. Cloud then, at the last minute, made a move to jump the opposite way, trying to avoid the monster all together. Cloud, once he jumped, lost his footing and tumbled a little in midair. Cloud exhaled, knowing that this was all too close for comfort. He needed to learn how to control this magic that had been cast upon him and he had better learn it fast.
Therefore, Cloud couldn't let the monkey take on the monster by himself. Cloud made a move to find his balance. He let himself find his center as he floated in midair and once he found his groove, he started his attack run. Cloud ran around to the back of the monster and, by letting the Mako and Jenova cells run high in his blood, sped over to the monster's back left leg and jumped for the fibula of the back left leg of the monster. Cloud opened his mouth and bit onto the fibula and attempted to tear away the fibula from the back left leg, hoping it would do some damage. Actions Used:
Action 1: Cloud leaps the the opposite direction of where Zidane was trying to veer the elephant when he got a hold of its tusks.
Action 2: Cloud runs to the back of the elephant and attempts to bite onto the fibula of the back left leg of the elephant, attempting to hinder its movements in any way, shape, or form.
Firaga: Cloud can use his Fire Materia to cast the strongest fire magic attack he has. With this magic attack, he can shoot three fireballs. However, they explode on contact with anything and they do spread out in an effort to cut off the opponent’s escape. ((2 posts left))
