The sun was still high in the sky, easily breaking through what little cloud lingered in the bright blue cover that stretched across the heavens in every direction. It wasn't too hot though, not enough to make it uncomfortable to fight in, such as Costa De Sol. While a certain member of the SOLDIER Team wasn't against working on his tan from time to time, the urgency of his work in the past before ShinRa collapsed, more often than not took up the majority of his time. Day was no exception either. In the previous round of this new tournament, the Crimson SOLDIER known as Genesis Rhapsodos had just encountered an old friend whom he had not seen in a very long time. It was no unfamiliar ground to meet with the clashing of swords, but it was also a pity that it was at such an event the old comrades met. It would have been nice to be able to sit down and have a talk with the silver-haired legend over past events and what the future possibly held. Such thoughts would have to wait for another time now though as the next rounds of the tournament had just been announced, the remaining contestants finishing their bouts no doubt.
Genesis had no idea what had happened to his opponent, Sephiroth, but his dark, unmistakable presence was still felt lingering around the Coliseum somewhere, so odds were he was still somewhere nearby. Had he met someone of more interest to him? Was Cloud here or had he seen Angeal or Zack? The Puppy's name was written down on the tournament roster, so it was possibly. Sora's name was also on the list and an old memory returned to the Crimson SOLDIER of when he stumbled across both Sephiroth and Sora for the first time since arriving in these many new worlds of Kingdom Hearts. The spiky brunette was clearly on guard when being confronted by The Chosen One and became ever more defensive when the Keybarer recognized Genesis' similar SOLDIER attire to that of Sephiroth's. It didn't matter. The Quoter of LOVELESS had a feeling in his gut that he'd be bumping into both Sephiroth and Sora again very soon, and not necessarily as opponents in this tournament.
A soft, warm breeze brushed through the auburn hair on Genesis' head as the subtle creaking of leather ensued as the iconic crimson trench coat was slipped off his shoulders, behind neatly folded up and then placed down on a stone bench not far away. Genesis' shoulder, stomach, right forearm and chest were still bleeding from his past match with Sephiroth, his right forearm being the worst off. ".... I'm glad you never fight seriously, friend. I wonder how many times I would have lost my arms to you?" The auburn-haired man spoke aloud to himself as he raised his right arm up and took a closer look at the wound, wrinkling his nose a little as he squeezed his arm and forced some more blood to ooze out. Fortunately, the Healing Water fountains that had been installed by the Lord of the Dead were still functioning and after dipping his arm into the cool, crystal clear waters, the bleeding wound had sealed up nicely. Splashing some of the water on his other injuries then taking a handful and drinking it down, Genesis smiled to himself and released a satisfied 'Ahhhh'. His attire was still damaged, but this time around, Genesis wasn't going to waste time fixing it up. Sephiroth was still out there somewhere, and the odds of his clothing being sliced up in the next match could be high as well.
Speaking of next matches, Phil had just zipped past and yelled out something about heading to the arena for the next round. The trail of dust following the satyr vanished as he zipped around a corner and Genesis just smiled softly and shook his head from side to side. Returning to the bench, sand crunching underfoot as he moved, the Crimson Champion picked up his coat and slung it over his back, sticking his arms in the sleeves as he did so. Genesis that tilted his head to the right slightly as he heard Phil's voice echo out over the ever growing cheers and chants of the audience. Slowly, the SOLDIER First Class made his way over towards his gateway and waited for it to open. "Lets get the next round started right away!!" Phil's aged voice echoed over the Coliseum, accompanied by deafening roars and cheers from the huge gathering of fans ans spectators. "Introducing first, is a warrior you all know and love. He's tall, his powerful, his mysterious. Make some noise for the Two Times Champion, Genesis Rhapsodos!!!" And noise indeed was made, enough to cause the floor to vibrate from the cheering, clapping and stamping of feet. Genesis smirked to himself and closed his eyes as he paused and allowed himself to embrace the feeling, the electricity that was crackling around all the fans, heck, over the entire Coliseum.
Heavy chains began to cluck and rattle followed by the deep creaking of wood; Genesis' gate opening up and letting the full force of the atmosphere smack him hard in the face. What a noise!! And just like last time against Sephiroth, the noise grew ever louder as the Crimson Champion walked out and made his way into the center of the arena, waving and smiling at a section of the audience that were clearly cheering for him. Flags were being waved, banners were on display with words of encouragement scribbled across them. It was fantastic to be here again and to experience such a sight. How could anyone NOT enjoy this? Holding his right arm out to his side, Genesis' crimson gloved hand flexed as his fingers slowly started to enclose about an imaginary object. Everyone knew what he was doing in the thousands of fans watching and sure enough, a long stream of flame erupted from Genesis' outstretched hand, forming itself into the shape of his long, crimson-bladed Rapier. The flames died out swiftly and the auburn-haired man pulled his weapon from the embers, swinging it before himself swiftly a couple of times before he closed his bright blue eyes and held the decorated hilt up against his forehead. Here he remained motionless until his opponent arrived and the new round would begin.

Jovial Prince of Thieves Was already over his loss. He was never all that good against mages. His own brother often gave him a run for his money. A deep sight would punctuate his thoughts. It was always troublesome to do these sorts of things. He often grew obsessed and had far too much fun fighting. He did no want to let loose but after the first fight he wanted to hear the crowd again. The boy was raised a true, blue actor. The attention was something he craved, be it negative or positive. It did not matter to him. He simply desired never to be left alone, to be forgotten. It was often the root of his mischief. Even after his first, degrading scuffle he was given a chance to understand this place. He went off for a while and looked around. It was a strange place and he finally understood the true value of the treasures here. His blue eyes observed the people, his rounded ears caught the sounds of a familiar society steeped in ritualistic culture. He had been meditating on some worries. he had originally come for the sense of intrigue, now he was lost between his duty and his romanticism.
He was seated on the ground with The Ogre rested across his lap. He played with his right earring, rolling the decorative beads of blue and gold between his thumb and index finger. He had the itch. He wanted to do have fun again. His left hand gripped his blade, the roars of the crowd and shout of the announcer indicated his approaching opponent. Pushing to stand he spun his swallow blade in his hand and tightly held his stance.
He could not read the marks on the boards, so he really was not to sure who was his next opponent. He managed to spot his name among the unfamiliar strokes of writing, but that still left a mysterious air to the one written beside him on the rankings. Well whatever! The young thief marched into the arena. He had a bright, youthful smile on his face. His hair was neatly pulled back and bound into a ponytail that lashed about with every step in tandem to his long, sandy-blonde tail. This was a last hurrah? Well he would give this one his all too! In his right hand he toted the hefty blade. The blade looked similar to a naginata (spear) in length, but both ends were bladed. When he came to his starting side of the arena he raised his blade and slammed it at his side vertically to call attention to his presence.
A wide grin plastered itself on his face as he raised his blade and spun it over head before he slid his legs shoulder length apart to his starting stance. The sword was held out and away from his body, his left arm partially raised as if he was preparing to take off running. "Let's have a good fight!" Even if it was his opponent he could not help a bit of well wishing and friendly banter. It was his optimistic nature, but too he did not want others around him o feel as if he was trying to look down on them.

The chanting and cheers echoing around the arena were the only indication that something was happening to the auburn-haired SOLDIER, who remained standing in the center of the raised fighting platform with his eyes closed and remaining as solid as one of the gigantic golden statues that stood proud outside in the lobby. It was only when the audience that had gathered to watch this new round cheered louder did Genesis know that his opponent had finally arrived. Fortunately he wasn't waiting as long as he had done for his past opponent, Sephiroth. No, this new enemy seemed more eager to get the matches started, though as the First Class SOLDIER finally lowered his Rapier from up against his forehead and turned to open his eyes and focus his dazzling blue gaze upon the figure of the next challenger, a look a subtle disappointment spread across the Champion's face.
"A child?" Genesis spoke aloud, making assumptions early on based from how this new warrior looked. True, basing a book by it's cover was a foolish thing to do and it was only after the Crimson SOLDIER turned about to face the short, blonde-haired male did he visually acknowledge that he was wrong. He pulled his head back ever so slightly, his eyes narrowing a fraction as a new expression replaced the disappointment, he clearly realizing the mistake he just made. "... No, maybe not." The boy was very unusual, very small but had a magnificent heart and positive attitude. It wasn't hard to tell, the little blue-attired man was practically dripping with this feeling. Anyone could tell this by simply observing him, but to someone such as Genesis, it was as easy as reading an open book. Still, the weapon he held in his hands was of unique design as well, resembling a weapon a man who wore plate armour wielded whom the Crimson Commander encountered a couple of times when travelling the world of Kingdom Hearts. What was his name again? Gertrude? Goliath? Gargantua?
It didn't matter. The situation at hand was much more important then trying to remember the name of a user of Darkness. No, the boy in blue had approached and spoke up words of light hearted encouragement. Leather gloves creaked subtly as they tightened about the handle of the highly decorated hand guard of the Rapier. A small smirk tweaked at the corner of Genesis' lips as he eventually nodded his head in agreement to his tiny, tailed opponent. He probably wasn't as small as Genesis thought, but the Crimson Commander was a tall man himself, easily reaching over 6 feet in height. It really was like looking down upon a child. That meant this guy was going to be agile over strong and from the look of the weapon in the blue-attired combatant's hands, he favoured melee style attacks over magic. The dual bladed butterfly sword looked heavy as well, so this tail-adorned young man was surely not able to use his speed to his full advantage either. Well, enough assumptions. The best and easiest way to find out what this good this guy in combat was, was simply to fight him.
With that, Genesis slowly blinked and let a small 'heh' escape his lips. "Of course. Let's give the audience something exciting to watch!" And with that said, the auburn-haired man suddenly jumped backwards across the arena, opening the gap between them both a fair amount. As he landed, Genesis brought his right arm up, lifting the Rapier up to head height and held the weapon parallel to the ground. In the same movement, the Crimson SOLDIER had raised his left arm up and pressed his palm against the flat edge of the slender, crimson blade. A magnificent red glow shone from his left palm as equally bright runes and aura appeared upon the blade of the Rapier. Running his hand down the length of the his weapon, Genesis Imbued his Rapier
with his knowledge of magic, increasing the weapons damage and defensive capabilities. The moment his glowing red hand ran past the sharp tip of his Rapier, covering the entire weapon in a bright red fire-like aura, Genesis then switched spells that caused the red aura covering his hand to turn blue in an instant. A what a colour blue it was too. Half the arena had matched the same hue as a larger sphere of a flame-like substance appeared and grew in Genesis' left handed grip. It only took a second to gather the required strength and within that same second, the Crimson Commander had officially started this new match. Throwing his left arm forth, a loud echo of released energy shook the arena as a powerful Energy spell was launched from Genesis' palm. A bright blue flash swallowed the arena for an instant before a large blue and fiery sphere was thrown towards Zidane's feet, travelling towards him with tremendous speed. Should the tailed-man block the spell or take it head on, or even if he were to dodge and the spell collided with the ground, a large fifteen-foot explosion was come about at the point of impact, blasting anything in it's radius with a powerful blow of concentrated energy. [/blockquote] ------------------------------ -=Actions=-1. Genesis jumped backwards a several feet and Imbued his Rapier to increase it's damage and blocking potential. 2. Genesis charged and cast his Energy spell at Zidane's feet, trying to catch him in the 15-foot explosion were he to dodge. -=Cool Downs=-Imbue Rapier - 1 Post cool down. No time limit on weapon buff. Genesis raises his Rapier up to eye level and runs his left hand down the length of the blade, infusing the whole weapon with magic that causes the blade to glow a bright red. All physical attacks are enhanced while the sword is under this effect and also allows Genesis the opportunity to throw out more advanced techniques. The effect can last for an entire battle, but if Genesis is rendered unconscious or if the Rapier falls from his grip, the enhancement is nullified. Also, if a block is made against a powerful strike, this can also ‘knock’ the effect off the weapon. Energy - 3 Post cool down. When Genesis uses this spell, it only takes him only a moment to cast it but it has a long recharge time. A huge and bright fiery ball with a light blue aura appears within Genesis’ left hand and can be thrown in any direction with tremendous speed to try and hit the enemy. Unlike his Flash spell, Energy is unguided and cannot move from a straight path. When the ball of Energy hits something, it explodes in a large and violent eruption, damaging anything within radius with pure, untapped energy magic. The attack covers around 15 feet when it explodes, blasting away anything to be caught within.

Jovial Prince of Thieves The boy smirk as the battle started off quick. With well wishes passed along the young traveler's mind was fileld with emptiness as his heart filled his body with adrenaline. The fellow before him had been sized up, but the most he could get from the way he stood was he was a good fighter. A warrior? He looked like a mercenary to him. That flashy, red outfit stood out! Zidane was small and lacked armor, so he was quick. His twin daggers combined did not change in weight, so or him combining them did not affect his speed. Unlike his last fight he could not hold back so he began building his excitement. A wild, wide smile drew itself on his face as he raised The Ogre over his head in a ferocious spin. He gripped the center of the swallow blade where the hilts met and appeared to slash his blade down, toward his left hip, only to kick off the ground with his right leg, using the momentum to draw himself forward.
He had thought the fellow only had been a warrior, but by the looks of him casting spells he was a Black Mage. This he could handle a bit better than a Death Mage. He smirked as he watched the fellow imbue his weapon with the powerful energy. Zidane had a healthy respect for the magical art and would not underestimate its abilities. Facing many casters in the past, the accumulated experience would hopefully do him well. This needed to be a flashy fight! When his opponent jumped back it only gave the boy runway to charge forward.
Suddenly a magical blast was launched from the mage-warrior. It would be a hellish dodge, but he would go for it. He had nowhere to go, but up. He still had his swallow blade pointed slightly down toward the ground as he ran with it at his side. His dextrous hands moved to rotate the blade. His right hand released the blade's handle and moved to rest further down beneath his left hand, which sat in the center of the combined dual blades. He gripped tightly as he appeared to row his blade as of paddling a boat. The blade's tip jabbed into the arena's ground and he would attempt to use his arm strength to push him up into the air. It had been easier to collect speed with the further distance he had to run to catch up to the mage-warrior.
He was capable of jumping a bit over twice his height unassisted. That small size was indeed packed with agility.
A shout of strength was released as he tried to launch himself. The blow would would come along the momentum of his jump. As he left the ground, so would his blade. The blade would be rotated until the end that had been embedded in the ground, came down to strike fiercely at Genesis with the force of his falling weight.

It was hard to hear the sound of the explosion Energy caused thanks to the stands being clogged full of roaring, cheering fans, both of Genesis and the monkey-tailed boy. Though where ears failed, eyes prevailed. His assumption of the little humanoid being nimble were proven correct as he easily zipped away, using his unique weapon as a sort of 'pole vault' to both aid in his escape as well as set him up for an attack. Genesis' bright blue eyes could see that he was having no trouble swinging that large double bladed weapon around and that honestly suited him just fine. It would not be any fun at all if the boy in blue was unable to swing the weapon he brought along to fight with. Still, a massive blue explosion erupted behind the blonde-haired boy, swallowing a good portion of the arena with it's crackling light-blue arc of energy, casting it's glow over every single face that watched the fight with great anticipation. Even Genesis himself had momentarilly swapped out his crimson attire for that of a sky-blue, before it returned back to normal a seconds later, the explosion from the magical attack dying down completely.
With a smirk spread across his lips, Genesis turned his back on his opponent, turning to his right and whirling around fully to complete a 360 degree spin. As he span back around to face his blue-attired opponent, the auburn-haired man had brought his Imbued Rapier up and swung the weapon diagonally from left to right, clattering the sharp edge of his Rapier hard into the blade of Ogre that was used to attack with, blocking the attack that sent sparks flying in every direction. A soft chuckle was heard mixed within the echoing 'clang' of metal striking metal and as Genesis pushed his right arm forth, pressing his Rapier against The Ogre, he also brought up his left arm and held his palm out towards the smaller fighter. A bright orange ball of flame appeared within his hand and a second later, a Flash
spell was cast, firing 6 ' Flashes' towards the chest and stomach of the tail-adorned humanoid that would all explode in small yet violent blasts of flame and fire if not evaded or blocked. Regardless of whether his 'Flashes' hit or missed, Genesis released his pressure against The Ogre and jumped backwards once more, before flexing his knees and jumping a second time, though this one was forwards and with much more strength applied. Soaring high into the sky, the Crimson SOLDIER flipped himself about in the air, in a single full flip as well as in a 180 degree rotation. By time he landed, the First Class SOLDIER stood on the opposite side of the arena, facing his blue-clothed round partner, a smirk spread across his lips as he brought his Rapier up before him and held the weapon out at arms length, pointing the slender blade in the half man-half monkey's direction. "You've got to be faster then that, friend. Come, try again."Genesis spoke loudly, boasting almost as he brought up his left hand to the same height as he right before flicking his index finger a couple of times, beckoning the young boy to come at him once more. [/blockquote] ------------------------------ -=Actions=- 1. Genesis used his Rapier to block the single attack made by Zidane. 2. Immediately after blocking, Genesis cast Flash upon Zidane, sending 6 fireballs towards his chest and stomach. 3. Unused. -=Cool Downs=- Imbue Rapier - Ready to use. Buff still in effect. Energy - 2 Posts. Flash - 1 Post. One of Genesis’ favourite spells to cast. After forming a fiery ball of flame within the palm of his left hand, Genesis can swing his arm before himself, launching out between 5-10 'Flashes'. He can do this twice, capable of releasing a maximum of 20 Flashes in one attack. The fireballs are small in size, but travel very quickly towards their target. Flash has excellent tracking capabilities and if they miss their target, Genesis can redirect the spell by moving his hand. Upon contact with the enemy or surrounding objects, the Flashes will explode violently.

Jovial Prince of Thieves
The explosion certainly was flashy enough! Zidane could fel the heat of the spell against his back and it caused the hairs on the back of his neck to stand up. He was a really powerful mage! This would be an exciting fight. His blood was already pumping and his emotions were reaching their peak. The Ogre was aptly named. Its fierce strength was a gift perfect for slaying mages. He would have to prepare for a hard fight.
Watched the warrior-mage spin and whip his rapier into battle. The impact of the blades was felt in roots of the thief's teeth and the depths of his heart. The counter only worked to burn his fires bright. This guy knew how to play! His tail seemed to bristle a bit as it came up and arched slightly in the air to balance his motions. When the warrior-mage opened his palm his azure eyes would glance over. The glow of magical energy was clear. He would have to push back in order to dodge something so rapidly charging, but he choose to do nothing.
A grin drew itself on his face as he gripped tightly on The Ogre so he would not lose his precious blade when he was tossed away by the energy. Each fire ball struck his chest with a deadly force that nearly knocked the wind from him. Zidane was easily tossed back, but his tail twisted up and he allowed his body to fall back. He arched his back so he would roll in the air as he leaned, His left arm reached out over his head as he rolled into a flip. His arm pushed off as his right hand and tail gripped The Ogre's handle. His boots hit the ground as he slide backwards in a low crouch. This action helped balance his center of gravity. His tail slipped from The Ogre as the boy kicked off the ground at full speed.
"So you want me to speed things up?!" He peeled out from his crouch, the remnants of smoke from his burning chest trailing behind him, making a zig-zag trail as he darted left to right toward the warrior-mage.
He held his swallow in front of him and with a quick motion of his thumb and gripping fore of his fingers he separated them back into their original forms. The Mage Mashers were a name granted to the mage slaying daggers. They were fast and easily able to withstand the force of their magic. This was not the first time the boy witnessed magic enchanted blades and he knew exactly how to deal with them. His smirk became dark as he charged forward.
With his arms spread from the blade's release the slashed forward across the air in an X-slash. As he did so he kicked off the ground and pulled his weight down into a drop kick. He was hoping to kick himself off the warrior-mage, blocked or not, and flip down behind him to land another slash on his back. It would not be an easy thing o manage. Rapiers were way thinner than broadswords and held equal speed with his beloved daggers. Considering the Rapier's light weight he could not misjudge this fellows speed.
During the kick he would keep his right leg curled up against him, coming down with his left partially extended, only to be extended fully before landing the strike.

A roar of excitement echoed around the arena in a loud, thunderous wave of noise rocketing skywards towards the heavens the moment the infamous flame based spell of the Crimson SOLDIER exploded into the chest of his younger opponent. A cloud of smoke swallowed both the fighters for only a moment before the light breeze carried the slowly fading smoke away. All six of the 'Flashes' had seemed to hit their target, none being felt for the auburn-haired man to manipulate. That wasn't a problem at all though, yet the audience and many fans of the First Class SOLDIER had seen their champion swing his arm and clench his hand into a fist, causing whatever 'Flashes' were left to turn about in the air and attempt a second strike on the target. But alas, this was not an option in this match and the slender lips of the LOVELESS Quoter simply curled into a smirk as he watched and observed the burnt and scorched blue attire tightly bound to the blonde-boys chest.
Still, Genesis was impressed. Normally his Flash spell packed a punch but this kid almost shrugged it off as if nothing had happened to him. Maybe he had fought a magic caster in his previous match and was now more prepared? If that was the case, then switching to swordsmanship would probably be a smarter move. The one thing about the Crimson SOLDIER that made him different from his raven-haired friend and The Chosen One, was that he was adept at both sword play and in casting magic from his materia. It made him very flexible in combat, being able to switch from range to melee in an instant. He's given this blue clothed boy a taste of his magic and while the Energy spell had missed and Flash seemed less effective then normal, the thought of throwing out his most powerful spell did cross his mind, but was it the right move to do? As previously assumed, this boy may well have fought a mage in the previous tournament round. Speech from the boy broke Genesis' thoughts and he tilted his head the smallest fraction as his bright blue eyes flashed with mild excitement. This boy was not exactly Sephiroth, but he was at least someone the Crimson Commander had never crossed blades with before.
"It's only a suggestion." Genesis answered with a smirk as he lowered his left arm back down to his side while continuing to point the long, thin Rapier towards the chest of the much smaller opponent. "If you want any chance of winning this match, I would urge you to start giving everything you've got. What's the point in fighting someone if you're not going to give one hundred percent?" He boasted confidently and smirked wider as he watched the young boy start to dash forwards in a zigzag pattern. Was he trying to be tricky? Make his attack unpredictable? Genesis' enhanced SOLDIER senses could see everything the young boy was doing and as he jumped up to attack with now twin daggers, the crimson Rapier in Genesis' hand was lowered and then swiftly swung up in a fast vertical strike, clashing steel against the 'X-style' strike the tailed boy made, easily blocking the attempted the attack. However, it seemed the blue clothed boy had other plans and kicked himself up and over the crimson clad warrior, landing behind him with relative ease. No surprise with his small stature and nimble feet, though strangely enough, the auburn-haired man did not turn around to face him.
No, instead the slicing of leather and cotton reached the SOLDIER's ears as he felt the cold steel of the young man's daggers slice across his back, drawing blood that trickled down his spine. A second after the sharp blades of Zidane's daggers struck flesh, Genesis suddenly whirled around in the blink of an eye to face the genome. As Genesis' long coat blew out behind him from the turn, a small flash escaped his entire body as he launched himself straight at the tailed boy, unleashing a Dancing Sword Counter Attack
upon him. It was a powerful sword strike combination that started off with two very fast diagonal down slashes of the Rapier from right to left and then left to right. Stepping forwards into the attack, next came three hard front thrusts, each one aimed for the center of Zidane's chest. Finally, the Rapier gripped within Genesis' hands started to glow much brighter as he jumped up into the air before falling down and impaling the Rapier hilt deep into the arena floor, unleashing a shock wave that would easily knock the genome away should be remain standing too close to the Crimson SOLDIER. After tugging his Rapier free from the hard, stone floor, Genesis jumped backwards several feet to open the gap between the warriors once more and smiled to himself at the thunderous roar the audience gave off from the flashy attack. His sharp, hawk-like eyes watched the blue clothed boy carefully and once more he stood his ground and awaited his opponent to come forth. It was now after the effect of his Counter had worn off did he feel the sting from the wound across his back. It didn't feel too bad, but the blood dripping down his spine told the First Class SOLDIER that he had indeed been hurt. Of course, this was not going to stop him in the slightest. Fifty more of those cuts and then maybe Zidane would be at an advantage, but as it stood now, Genesis was standing tall in the center of the arena and his aura was clearly beaming confidence as his smirk grew wider across his face. The heat of battle... there was no other feeling like it, and Genesis loved it! [/blockquote] ------------------------------ -=Actions=-1. Genesis blocked the X-style attack with a vertical sword swing. 2. Deliberately taking damage, Genesis used a Counter combined with Dancing Sword to instantly strike back at Zidane. 3. Unused. -=Cool Downs=-Imbue Sword - Buff still in effect. Energy - 1 Post. Flash - Ready to be used! Dancing Sword Counter - 2 Posts. Perhaps Genesis’ most dangerous technique. Not liking to be struck in combat, if an enemy does make a successful physical strike against him, Genesis has a high chance he’ll temporarily ignore the damage caused and instantly launch himself straight back at the enemy, getting as close as his can before slashing his Rapier wildly at them in an attempt to score a Counter hit. Genesis has a chance that he will Counter with a Dancing Sword or an Apocalypse depending on how the situation stands. If Genesis does decide to Counter with either his Dancing Sword or Apocalypse abilities, their own cool downs will take effect, negating the no cool down for a Normal Counter. An enemy with fast reflexes could always spot the Counter coming and react accordingly.

Jovial Prince of Thieves The boy landed the strike with general ease. That was unsettling. This guy was way too fast to simply let a hit like that strike. The boy's brow arched when he landed, his body falling into a low crouch. His battling stance always left him a position in which he could quickly take off at. With his years being raised as a thief and artisan craft of the theatric arts, being able to pull off unreasonable acrobatics was a necessity. It did also help that his body was gifted with a tail that left him shift and turn on the battlefield at a moment's notice.
When he stood in this position his tail was curled up toward the air, at least when he held his Mage Mashers. The Ogre forced a completely different position, leaving him to hold out his tail curled to his left side. When the man whorled around the boy only saw the man come at him, his blades a flurry and an extension of his spirit. This guy was really high strung and on his surge!
The thief was quick. He would try and block as much of the damage as he could so would raise his blades up in a crossing position in an attempt to deflect the majority of the damage from his chest to his shoulders. He ducked down further, not much of an exaggeration with his current height being just under 150cm. He was viciously pushed back by the strike. The diagonal strikes should be easy enough to deflect, but it was the thrusts. That was what he hated about shitty Rapiers! They stabbed well, just like a dagger, but with greater length, which often reached the length of a grown man's arm. It was like having that extra length attached to one's reach where daggers were more handheld and compact in striking range.
He hadn't enough battle experience to evade a rapier's thrust, but there was nothing saying he could not proceed to dance back from them and minimize the damage done to his body. So the fleet-footed thief began his dance. Crouched he would push his right leg back and hop back with his alternating steps to keep the blade from horrendously piercing skin. The final blow took him off guard. He was knocked back when the blade suddenly penetrate the ground and released a seismic explosion. He understood it now!
He felt his heart beating faster and faster as it fought to protect him and heighten his senses. When the boy landed he rolled on his sides before he pushed to stand. He shook himself off before gloved hands came up to touch at his torn, white shirt. Fingers played between the holes of fabric and a smirk was released from the boy. He felt his wounds. Hopefully they would leave no scars behind. He rolled his shoulders, the male's earlier words reaching his thrashing heart. He was almost there, at the edge of his fight. Just a bit further. His body was pumped ful lof energy and excitement. It was drawing out his inner creation. That part of him he had long accepted.
He would never be the Angel that carried another to Death, after all Angels were meant to protect!
Zidane charged with everything that he was. The Mage Mashers were slammed together and reunited into The Ogre. He spun his blade over his head. He pulled the head of one of the blades back, the other acting like a barrier from charging fools as it sat just under his left fore arm, ready to strike from either end. Before he slid to a stop before and pulled the blade down, his right leg parted out shoulder length and tail curled out toward the left, raising off the ground, counter balancing the action. He swung up the blade toward Genesis and would follow through by twisting the blade horizontally and slashing downward before offering a thrust to the man, kindly returning the flurry of blows once offered.

You have to listen to your heart."

Genome | Light | Thief Damage: Light burns, minor cuts to the chest Powers Used: None Skills Used: None Actions: Attempted Block of main strikes of counter. Even though the fans who had gather to watch this match had cheered as loud as they could for their favourite warriors to win the round, there was something bothering the auburn-haired man regarding the short blue clothed opponent facing him. It wasn't his height or his speed or nothing like that... it was more... 'inside' him that felt wrong. It didn't make any sense thinking about it like that and would make even less sense trying to explain it with words or actions. No, this blonde-haired boy had taken damage from both Genesis' Flash spell and from the thrusting strikes of his Dancing Sword technique, but this boy, why wasn't he fighting his hardest? Surely he must have had some flashy attacks within his arsenal, a spell or some sort of special combination of attacks using that dual-bladed weapon of his... but no, nothing. He just continued to dust himself off and then rush at the SOLDIER First Class with ordinary, basic melee strikes. Such attacks were not going to work on the LOVELESS Quoter. His speed and strength were much too great for ordinary, weak attacks to work. The only reason he took a blow a moment ago was simply because he allowed the blow to hit.
The look in the tailed boy's eyes told Genesis that he knew the SOLDIER had allowed his strike to hit and was clearly showing that small strikes like that were not going to work, yet why did he again rush forth and try and same thing? A frustrated frown spread across Genesis' features, replacing the smirk that was there before. If this guy wasn't going to learn from his mistakes, then that was going to be Zidane's fault, not Genesis'. And at such a thought, Genesis' unimpressed frown had switched back to a smirk, though this time it was considerably darker then normal. Alright... If you're not going to try your hardest, I'll make you pay for it! Genesis thought to himself as he brought his Rapier up in a wide yet slow arc, closing his eyes slowly as he brought the weapon up vertically and softly pressed the highly decorated hilt of the slender weapon against the soft skin of his forehead. Even though the audience were cheering and roaring as loudly as ever, Genesis could still hear the footsteps of his opponent carrying him closer and closer. He was again going for a frontal assault? ... Fool.
Oddly enough however, the SOLDIER First Class standing in the center of the arena did not move an inch from his 'meditating' position, even when Zidane came in for an attack. The boy in blue's three attacks all struck their target, creating a fine 'X' style cut across his chest as well as easily stabbing into the SOLDIER's stomach with the third attack, a thrust. However, the SOLDIER First Class lowered his Rapier and looked down upon the genome with an emotionless expression. A black wing suddenly burst out of the back of the auburn-haired man and instead of countering at all, the Crimson SOLDIER threw out his left arm and tried to grab hold of Zidane by either his shirt or by one of his arms, whatever was closer and easier to grab. A moment later and the sound of swinging steel came from BEHIND the tailed boy, as a second Genesis Rhapsodos had appeared, swinging his Rapier out in a dangerous Twister Strike
towards Zidane's back. It was a spinning sword attack that would deal heavy damage in a single blow where it to strike cleanly, as well as very forcefully knocking the blonde-haired man away, even if the attack was blocked. Smirking, the Genesis without the black wing jumped backwards and held his Rapier up defensively, as he watched the one closer to Zidane, his Genesis Clone, jump away and mimic it's creators stance, holding it's Rapier up and flexing out it's massive wing to ready itself to attack. If the blue clothed boy was going to continue this match using basic attacks, then he'd have to get punished by trying to fight two Genesis Rhapsodos' at the same time. The Clone was a Level Three version, the strongest one Genesis had. Basically, it was identical to Genesis in every way; speed, strength, abilities. The only way to tell them apart was that the Clone had the wing protruding from it's back where as the real Genesis did not. Not yet anyway. The Clone had taken the damage from Zidane's combo attack and while tears were seen in it's clothing and skin, the imitation SOLDIER did not seem fazed in the slightest. "I'm getting bored."Genesis spoke up as he sent a vicious glare at his smaller opponent. "Start fighting me seriously or this is going to get VERY ugly for you."His tone was dark and cold, carrying a heavy threat to it as well. The complete opposite of his normal soft and poetic tone. [/blockquote] ------------------------------ Genesis Clone has 85% Health remaining and has a 3 Post duration left. -=Actions=-1. Genesis summoned a Genesis Clone. 2. Instantly upon summoning, Genesis used his enhanced SOLDIER speed to switch out and take Zidane's flank, the Clone trying to grab Zidane at the same time. 3. Genesis used his Twister Strike from behind Zidane, aiming the blow at his back. -=Cool Downs=- Imbue Sword - Buff still in effect. Energy - Ready to be used! Dancing Sword Counter - 1 Post. Genesis Clone Level Three - 6 Posts (Cool down will NOT start until the Genesis Clone has either been killed, or it's 3 Post time limit has expired.) Useful in many situations. Genesis can now spawn a fully identical clone of himself, which can use all his skills and techniques ranging from low powered up to his highest strength abilities. This upgraded Clone now sports 100% of Genesis’ stats, and the Clone will be able to take as much of a beating as Genesis himself before being defeated. This version will prove a serious threat to those unaware of the SOLDIER’s capabilities, more so then both the Level 1 and Level 2 Clones. Much like the Clones seen in the time of Crisis Core, this imitation of the SOLDIER 1st Class can move, act and think on its own, but is totally loyal to Genesis. A Level 3 Clone's appearance is identical to Genesis', from head to toe. The only difference is that the Clone is unable to dispel it's wing, perhaps the only way to tell them apart. When the Clone is spawned, it comes to the battlefield as a fresh character, with none of Genesis' current cool downs effecting it. A Clone cannot spawn another Clone.
Clone will fight endlessly with 100% of Genesis’ stats until defeated, otherwise it will automatically dispel after a 3-Post time limit. Only 1 Clone can be summoned at a time. Cool down will not begin until the Clone is dispelled or defeated. Twister Strike - 2 Posts. Crouching down low to the ground in a battle stance, Genesis will jump up and rotate on the spot in a fast 360 degree spin that creates a small vortex to draw in a nearby opponent. He will then lash out furiously with a single Rapier strike that will inflict heavy damage as well as swatting away his opponent a fair distance. If guarded against, the attack will still knock away an opponent, but only deal a fraction of the damage. As Genesis strikes his enemy, the vortex of air he creates will also blast outwards to aid in throwing away his foe.
Twister Strike will knock away an enemy, even if guarded against.

Jovial Prince of Thieves When he charged the warrior-mage seemed to respond finally. Instead of attacking with the Rapier, as he expected, Genesis reached ou to grab him. His shirt was grabbed and the smaller boy's ears caught a nostalgic sight. Shit! fucking shit! A wing!? His tail completely bristled. The warrior would easily hold him up off the ground. His eyes shakily turned back as another warrior-mage appeared. What were they all fucking ninjas, or worse yet Epitaph!? A look of sheer horror came upon his face as he turned his head to what could only be assumed to be the real Genesis, only for a smirk to hit his expressive face.
"No way something this shitty is gunna work twice with me old man." Though to the boy anyone older than him was old.
The boy quickly reached up to slash at his own chest, cutting his already torn shirt to shreds to release himself from the warrior-mage's grip. He would drop on the ground and smirk. His free hand came up to attempt to Steal Genesis' Rapier from his hand. Whether or not he succeeded in smacking the Rapier from the warrior-mage and disabling his abilities, he would still be knocked a good distance away, the strike now on his bare flesh. It was always risky, but it was the only way.
His back was to the warrior, body visibly shifting with pants. His tail was not moving, not even twitching. The tail, though, was fluffed up, bristled stiff. A strong energy filled his body and swarmed the vicinity to a surge of raw emotion. On his bare back a layer of pink fur began to cover him. The rest of his clothing was shed, the boy now pink from head to toe. Trance needed a while to activate, but its uses were boundless. His power and energy doubled as adrenaline filled his being.
His head turned to look over his shoulder at the now two Genesis. Pink bangs fell over his sharp, grinning expression. "I'm always serious 'bout havin' fun old man." The boy's tail raised as he seemed to pirouette on the edges of his clawed toes. "Let the show begin!" He roared as he lunged toward Genesis with all his vigor and might.
He spun The Ogre as an accumulation of ki began to swell and release from the young thief. The acquired damage slowly began to Regenerate, stitching burned flesh and minor cuts. The ki exploded out into many, small balls of pure, physical energy which flew into the air. The energy was pushed forward by the blade's spinning motion. Meo Twister rained down, aimed for the warrior and his clone. The twister of energy could devastate an expanded area in a single sweep.

Genesis had stated only moments ago that he was starting to get bored of this fight, all due to because he thought the blue clothed boy was not trying his hardest in this battle. The audience on the other hand were thoroughly enjoying watching their champion face off against the mysterious little warrior. A wave of clapping, cheering and chanting echoed around the whole arena continuously, going around and around like a turning wheel. It was fantastic. Genesis always loved being able to put on a good show for the people coming from many worlds to watch and have fun in doing so. There was much trouble spread about the worlds, though while Genesis had not been out exploring too much in recent weeks, he could still feel the evil and darkness making it's way about every world out there. There was never going to be an end to all this fighting, so the best the Crimson SOLDIER could do was to help people forget about it all. Sure, the evil face of Darkness might one day be pushed back and made slumber for a while, but it would only return in due time and everything would repeat itself once more.
Much like these tournaments themselves. Whenever things got tough in the worlds, Phil would step up and announce a new tournament, perhaps in hopes of drawing the warriors of both light and dark into one world and stop them from fighting over others? Who knew? It was an admirable thought, one that Genesis wanted to believe in, but it seemed too far fetched. Phil was more interested in training heroes and earning Munny over wanting to put an end to the war. No war, no business. Tch... that reminded the Crimson Commander of ShinRa and he frowned inwardly at the sickening thought of who they were. Traitors... The lot of them. A swift and subtle shake of the head pushed the thoughts of gnats away and made him return to the present; his fight with the tailed boy Zidane. He was certainly a unique character... annoying in his own ways, but unique none the less. His reaction to the Clone spawning it's wing was most interesting, Zidane's face turning to one of horror at the sight of such a feat. What could that mean?
Granted a smirk had returned when the boy had very cleverly slashed at his own shirt to free himself from the tight fisted grip of the Genesis Clone. Unfortunately however, the boy took the Twister Strike in his attempt to get away, though rather miraculously, he had succeeded in stealing the Rapier away from the SOLDIER First Class. The Clone still had it's own Rapier and he merely glanced from it's master to the infamous long sword laying on the ground several feet away. The blade would be incredibly heavy for anyone to pick up, despite how light it looked. Much the same as how Sephiroth was the only person alive who would use Masamune to it's fullest potential, the same was true about Genesis' Rapier. Sure, Zidane could pick it up and swing it about if he wished to, but he'd never be able to use it as skillfully and effortless as Genesis himself could. Still, even when disarmed, Genesis had a large arsenal of Spells at his disposal.
Something caught his attention though. While having the power to summon his weapon to his hand, Genesis had started out for his weapon by simply walking towards it, the leather coat hanging from his back swaying softly in the breeze created from the SOLDIER's forward movement. No, he didn't reach the weapon though, the long crimson Rapier laying on the ground a few feet away, it's bright red glow had vanished since being ripped from it's wielder's grip. A bright light was instead coming from the blue clothed boy and Genesis had stopped and raised an eyebrow, a bewildered expression spread across his face as he observed the darnedest thing. His opponent was... growing fur? Pink fur at that, from head to foot. What was this transformation and why was the boy now boasting a considerably higher aura then before? He looked ridiculous, but Genesis' warrior instincts told him that this 'Zidane' character was now actually getting serious. The fans were enjoy it though, everyone gasping and releasing shocked and amazed sounds from their excited bodies.
The Genesis Clone remained standing still and Genesis himself was doing very much the same, two pairs of brightly glowing blue eyes locked onto and watching the now-pink boy very carefully. After a short pause, the pink-furred contender spoke up about the show beginning. Well, about time! The moment Zidane lunged forth, the Clone had done the same, swinging it's Rapier down in a heavy strike but only hitting the arena floor with a loud metallic 'TANG!' as it missed the now faster Zidane. Genesis himself stood still, watching as his transformed opponent brought up his twin bladed weapon and spun it about, summoning and firing several strange balls up into the air that arced and begun to fall down towards the SOLDIER First Class. The Crimson Commander's eyes narrowed as he suddenly flexed his knees and dived for his Rapier, one of the strange energy balls crashing down directly where he stood.
Rolling across the arena floor from the dive, Genesis gathered up his Rapier and returned to his feet just in time for him to swing the slender weapon vertically, slicing away one of the small balls heading directly for him. A second crashed into the black pauldron covering his right shoulder though and it forced a wince to escape the SOLDIER's lips from the surprising amount of force the blow carried. Countless more of these odd ball things rained down, a handful of them being slice away by the crimson Rapier, but several more had struck their target, leaving the SOLDIER feeling bruised and battered all over. Several burns from the balls of energy covered his attire and as the dust slowly settled, the Quoter of LOVELESS glanced over towards his Clone, noticing that it too had taken a beating from the most interesting attack. Still, Genesis chuckled and stood upright, standing tall and looking over towards his opponent. "Interesting... not seen an attack like that before, but at least you're starting to take this a bit more seriously." Genesis spoke up, his voice was much softer then before, though his eyes flashed with determination and he took a step forth towards his pink-furred opponent.
"But is that all you've got?" He taunted as a sudden bright blue flash swallowed half of the arena once more, the Genesis Clone having taken the time to charge up it's own Energy
spell while the real Genesis spoke to his opponent. Genesis' Clone threw the bright blue sphere of fiery energy towards the smallest man in the middle of the arena and as it exploded in it's large fifteen-foot radius of bright blue energy, Genesis himself held his Rapier up over his head and gathered his own energy for a second. A large and intricate rune appeared within the sky over the SOLDIER's head and continued to grow in side and brightness as Genesis cast his Apocalypse spell. The bright crimson rune filled up the sky as a strong wind started to blow out from Genesis' own person, causing dust and sand to be kicked up and blown towards the thousand of fans. Words appeared upon and about the large glowing rune, the missing verse of LOVELESS and a second later, a bright white flash swallowed the Coliseum as several powerful bolts of energy exploded out of the rune and rained down upon and around the pink-coloured Zidane. This was the Crimson SOLDIER's most powerful black magic spell and as a second bright white flash signalled the end of the spell, the large rune in the sky vanishing, Genesis dropped his right arm down to his side and let out a long, deep breath. Curious as to what remained of his opponent of both the powerful spells had hit their target, Genesis took a couple of steps back and held his Rapier up defensively, waiting to see what would come next. ------------------------------ Genesis Clone has 60% Health remaining and has a 2 Post duration left. -=Actions=- 1. After gathering some energy into his Rapier for a couple of seconds, Genesis thrusts his sword into the air above his head which creates a series of crimson and red runes to start forming within the air covering a large space above his head. The runes then start to glow brightly before numerous powerful bolts of energy are rained down towards the unfortunate opponent. A flash of light ends the spell, removing the runes from the sky as well. [/blockquote]

Jovial Prince of Thieves Smirked as he rushed toward the warrior-mage. When the clone's blade came down the thief's eyes brightened as he spun, in a manner a child did trying to slide across the newly cleaned floors of an inn. The power slide harshly turned him to face the clone. As he did swung his blade around to position it at rest on his arm's length and took off running in the opposite direction, away from the clone. If there's one thing he has learned about Black Mages was that they needn't their weapons to fight. That was an obvious enough lesson, but separating the blade from his master caused the energy of the Enchantment spell to die out. He gave a thumbs up to the mage and his clone. What in the hell was he doing?
It became obvious when he began to charge Genesis once more, at his top speed. He held The Ogre behind him in a way where it cut through the air and did not stifle his running speed. He smirked as his brow arched slightly. There it was. The mage was countering with a spell. He was always serious about fighting. It was the other half of him that silently slept. He was once afraid of it, that it would one day come out and kill the people he loved, but he realized that it was because he loved them, that power could never be used for evil. It slept, dormant and only tickled at the surface during battles, as it always had. This was the exciting life he always lived. He never grew up, always the youngest.
But he had younger ones to take care of too, did he not? They looked up to him and he simply could not fail. Fail did not mean to always win, but to always learn from what you experienced, because if you did not learn... His last fight was an experience in and of itself. Never let a mage cast, but if they did, they went big! He smirked and raised his tail as he spun to face the red-garbed mage. He liked it flashy huh? The young thief would have mistaken the warrior-mage for an actor himself with the airs he put on.
"Maybe this wasn't such a good idea..." He chuckled to himself before looking up at the sky. Runes huh? "So you wanna play with Runes?! HUAH!" He threw out his hands as Genesis Runes drew themselves out.
On the ground, in a half circle surrounding the perimeter of the field, strange writing appeared. Runes of his own, but these were not magical runes by any means. The boy really had no sense for magic, but perhaps that was the way he was born. When you deeply understood magic, the greater it affected you. He was an idiot to his own right, not even capable of catching a cold. He was no hero, or great master of power. He was an ordinary thief, that helped those in need.
The ki around his body caused his fur to dance. The runes, at the twist of his hand, erupted. A flaming haze rolled from the runes and created a Tidal Flame that would wash over the field and swallow it in fire. It was a physical spell, much akin to certain types of Flare. The energy was so condensed that it had no chance of being absorbed by creatures warmed by a fire's light. As for the spell Apocalypse, all Zidane could do was brace for it. The field would be swallowed by the chaos of the spells.
As much as it ached, and burned his flesh, creaked his bones, he could not give up this chance. Without the risk of a knockback the beastly thief took off running. He had made a mental note with his earlier 'run around' as to the position of the mage and his copy. With the dust and flashes of energy dancing around he would take the advantage and seemingly vanish into the chaos, to position himself behind the pair. He charged once more, a smirk on his face. The Ogre was at least two arm lengths, but the thief held it in its center, it was only one arm length. He thrust it outward, blindly into the aftermath, hoping his memory and senses led him true to his target.

A rarely sighted frown was spread across the the features of the Crimson SOLDIER. There was something... unusual happening in this tournament match. Normally, Genesis would be enjoying every moment of every match with a smirk spread across his lips as bright blue and orange flashes would engulf the arena from his flashy spells and abilities. The audience loved every moment as much as the First Class SOLDIER did, as evident from their cheers and roars of excitement. But this boy... this boy dressed in blue-now pink with a tail... he was... how to say... It was a strange feeling deep within the auburn-haired man's gut that was aching and making the Crimson Commander wonder just who exactly this fellow was and how he was able to dodge and evade the majority of the damage being sent his way. Obviously he was a skilled warrior, or whatever his role in life was and due to his small stature and nimble feet, it should not be coming across as much of a surprise to the Crimson Champion.
Which, a surprise, it was not. More disappointment was told within the frown spread across the SOLDIER's face as he watched the flashes and explosions from both his Apocalypse and his Clone's Energy spells fade away and return the Arena to it's original state... bar the scorched ground and several broken tiles from the impacts of both the spells. Rubble littered the arena floor but thankfully the fans were free from harm due to that magical barrier protecting them. But this Zidane guy... he was still standing and still appeared to have vast amount of energy left within him, both used to chat and move with. It was interesting in every way to meet someone who could stand up to the SOLDIER's assaults as much and as easily as both Sephiroth and Angeal could. Perhaps he ought swap out his frown and replace it with a smile of respect to this little man? Nah, this kid's ego was also gigantic. There was no need t add more fuel to the fire and make him potentially annoying. Sephiroth was annoying at times with his whole, 'better then you' crap. The same could probably be said about Genesis and his endless quoting of LOVELESS. Which reminded him, he'd not really spoke many quotes as of late. Hmm...
A flash appeared from out the corner of Genesis' eye and as he turned to view what it was, his eyes widened as he witnessed a wave of flame surging straight towards him. It was travelling fast, too fat and too close to dodge without taking burns and damage, so all the SOLDIER First Class did with widen his stance, hunker down and raise is left arm up as a 'shield'. Shifting his footing so he stood side on to the magical attack, Genesis ducked his head behind his left arm and grit his teeth tightly as he felt the heat and force of the attack wash over him, forcing him to skid back across the arena floor slightly. The durable leather material of his coat turned black in various places as well as his pants catching fire on left knee, the one facing the wall of fire. His left arm took the brunt of the attack though, his entire sleeve having been melted away to leave his bare arm on show, burnt as much as his sleeve was. As soon as the wave of fire had passed, Genesis swung his left arm down from before his face and slapped his bare fingers across his left knee, extinguishing the flame that was there and revealing the scorched skin of his knee through a hole in his pants.
After a short pause, a soft 'heh' escaped his lips as he flexed his legs and stood upright, his brightly glowing eyes observing his damaged left arm that stung and caused incredible pain as the slightest movement, but the smirk spread across the SOLDIER's lips told that he was used to pain such as this. No amount of physical pain could ever come close to the pain he had felt when he learned the truth of what ShinRa had done to him. Nothing. At. All. This burnt arm was like a grazed knee of a child who had fallen down when tripping over his shoe laces. It hurt, there was no doubt about it, but the pink-furred boy was going to have to deal more damage if he wanted to put the SOLDIER First Class down for the count. This, it seems, is exactly what the Tranced Boy planned to do. Using his agility and speed to zip about the arena to take Genesis' flank, the Crimson Commander just smirked as he heard the boy approach, The Ogre's blades singing as they sliced through the air.
The Rapier sung it's own song within Genesis' grip as he swung his right arm up and over his head, pointing the slender blade down towards the ground and feeling the metallic impact of steel clashing into steel as the SOLDIER First Class showed off a little with a blind block, but in the same moment of defence, Genesis switched modes and changed back into offensive, whirling around quickly to face his short opponent and throw out his left leg, aiming a kick towards the side of Zidane's head. At the same time, Genesis' Clone whom had been far enough away from the Tidal Flame to avoid the majority of the damage, rushed forth the moment it caught sight of it's master launching an attack. As Genesis himself threw out his kick, the Genesis Clone swung it's Rapier down in a hard, vicious slash towards the back of Zidane's legs to try and ground him or reduce his speed at least. Both the fighters had shown their display over magical skill, so now it was time to see who of them was the better at swordsmanship.
This fight was only just getting started!

Genesis made his stance sturdier and braced himself for impact against Tidal Flame, redirecting most of the damage onto his arm instead of over his whole body. 2. Genesis Clone approached Zidane from his flank and used a single Rapier strike aimed at Zidane's legs. -=Cool Downs=-Genesis Clone Level Three - 6 Posts (Cool down will NOT start until the Genesis Clone has either been killed, or it's 3 Post time limit has expired.) Jovial Prince of Thieves He had to push himself to his limit. It hurt like hell. With his trance burning, that meant it ate away at his energy. Because these tournaments wee not to the death, he was mentally and physically less inclined to fight to that end, but should he not anyway? It seemed this guy had that sort of disposition to him. Like he always had to fight until the end. The boy's spirit was boundless and his confidence extremely grating to the nerves of those who were strict in their manner of battle. There were many he meat who could not understand his lackluster sense for brutal, bloody combat. He honestly felt there was no point in ending a person's life when they could meet tomorrow under different circumstances.
He was that sort of guy. Even so he knew his place. He knew there were battles he could never hope to win, but that did not stop him from pushing out his all. He did it all with a smile on his face because this was the rough and tumble life he knew. He smiled up at the warrior when his blade was block by the backwards stance.Very flashy. He should expect no less from this guy after this far into the fight.
His attack was easily blocked. This guy was a real fighting monster. He was as good as countering as his nakama was. He kept in mind the clone was waddling around somewhere. Genesis made motion to whirl about and face him, after all a block like that you could not just keep your back to an enemy. This guy was too experienced for that. He tail raised up as did The Ogre. He would try and use that moment to shift The Ogre's weight by forcing his weight down and attempt to Steal the warrior-mage's blade from his hand once more to prevent the coming strike as he spun to face him.
The Ogre would push at the Rapier and try to knock it loose and free from his hand once more. As he did this motion, it seemed the man was not aiming to slash, or even punch. Kick?! That was damn unconventional in anything but a street fight for him. Damn he might not be able to dodge it in time, and he certainly was not able to. Cracked in the head was a painful strike to his skull. The ringing in his ears faded soon enough, though there was still a light, irritating buzz in his left ear. He tried to gain his bearings, but by than the damn clone was too close for comfort. He had managed to stay upright by tightening his legs and lowering his center of gravity.
"Shit" The boy muttered to himself. His tail furled down, slithering like a snake before he pushed to jump up. In his Trance he was able to jump higher than usual so he would use this to his advantage to dodge the charging Clone, unaware it was swinging its blade at him.
After jumping he would grin and hold out his hand. A surge of energy once again drew itself from his body, He gripped his fist and released a shout of power as he came falling from his jump and tired to land safely and steadily. A circular swirl of energy formed on the ground only for runes to drawn themselves on he ground, different from the semi-circle of the flame.
This was a full circle or runes and as soon as they were written the runes themselves began to fall into the swirl and the ground created a vacuum which collapsed in on itself under the enemy's feet, creating an earth-shaking rumble. Shift Break distorted the ground with a force of ki rather than magic, which would have destroyed the ground itself. Instead of the ground shattering damage of Quake Shift Break formed a vacuum, only to erupt out when the sunken energy became to much and shot out in reverse flow, which did the damage.
