And here he found himself. The mysterious masked boy Vanitas had found himself once more on Olympus Coliseum, and once more within the graps of another tournament. However, this hadn’t been by complete chance though. Vanitas might have come to the world, but he had been suggested to come here by another. The false prophet Altima, she had spoken enticing words to the dark keybearer, and ever since the Mysterious Tower where they had met, he had found her amusing. Goals might not have been similar, but she gave him a focus to his anger and hatred, and enticed him with possibilities. When word of this tournament had reached her, she gathered her other Knight, some Heartless creature with control over blood known as Hadria, and himself. A Team tournament, but not as a team battle. Instead, individual battles where the end result mattered on you and others in your team winning. Vanitas tended to put little trust in allies, a fault of the darkness, but this was too enticing.
So here he stood, now looking out upon the arena as he stepped in. His name was remembered by some, and cheers grew. Others hushed up, that unnatural sensation from his heart, or half of it, to be more precise, and the darkness that emanated could be felt by many attuned to the hearts of others. That, and his Void Gear Keyblade probably no doubt helped. As he reached near center where the battle would be held, Vanitas stretched his key blade arm and roated his shoulder, loosening up for the battle at hand. He’d heard the other name, Past and Present Plus One, but what did it mean?
The name Terranort had caused him pause. He blinked beneath his mask. “Terra…? No, it couldn’t. But the Nort… could it mean… Terra… and Xehanort…?” he muttered to himself watching the other side of the field with intrigue. For if it was a form of his former Master… well, this could spell for an interesting battle then. |

Many years ago in an arena at the foot of Mount Olympus there was a tournament. Three young weilders of a mythical blade all entered this tournament for different reasons, yet very similar reasons. The first was a young woman who was assigned to watch after her close friend. Her name was Aqua. The second was a young boy who sought to prove himself even though he was still so young. This boy was named Ventus. The final was a champion, who conquered the tournament early that day. This man should have been the hero of our story; however, he unfortunately lost his way later in life. This man's name was Terra.
-=-=-=-=-=-
The shrouded Xehanort approached the loud-mouthed satyr as his name was called. He, along with a fellow member of the Thirteen Darknesses, had entered this tournament for a reason. It had been a long time since either of them had roamed the world, and they were unsure of what caliber opponents or possible allies they would meet while abroad.
Xehanort removed his hood as he quietly approached Phil, only for the satyr to nearly drop his jaw upon the floor. "I thought that name looked familiar! Go get 'em champ!" He might have said more than that, but to be honest, Terra-Xehanort really wasn't paying attention. He quietly walked through the gate with a slight smirk upon his face when he saw his opponent.
-=-=-=-=-=-
The champion had faced many trials and tribulations in his journeys from world to world. You see, he was on a quest to find a mysterious villain with a mask upon his face. This villain was responsible for releasing evil into the worlds, and he caused much heartache to the citizens.
Terra tracked the darkness from world to world, but a master's betrayal would forbid him from seeing the end of this evil's reign. This boy was named Vanitas.
-=-=-=-=-=-
Now standing in the ring with the stands filled and little room to even catch a peek by standing at the very top, Xehanort faced his opponent. If this were a different situation he would probably call the young man an ally, for the boy Vanitas was, in a way, part of himself.
"In this matchup we have the mysterious Vanitas taking on our former champion, Terra." [/b] Terra-Xehanort glanced upward at the announcer before calmly re-introducing himself to his opponent. "A case of mistaken identity. What began in darkness has finally returned. Terra no longer resides here, I am now a vessel of Master Xehanort."[/b] As the bell sounded to start this battle in the tournament, the cloaked vessel did not summon his weapon, he merely placed his palm flat, pointed at his enemy. Several molten boulders rose from around the arena and stayed in suspended motion for several seconds before they converged upon the enemy, one by one. This was Master Xehanort's version of Meteor, and it was a true compliment to the merging of the two keybladers. Xehanort was no longer the champion who once conquered this arena, he was something far more fearsome. -=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=- Cooldowns Meteor: Xehanort Version a dozen smaller chunks of burning rock surround the battlefield and fire at the enemy(is) one at a time [Cool down: 2 posts][/blockquote]

As the form entered, Vanits stared. To say he was shocked was an understatement, yet to say he was baffled was an overstatement. He had known long ago of Xehanort’s plan, though he had never believed it to happen. He had known, because the old coot had said he might very well have used Ventus if the boy had proved to use darkness as he was, but never could. Terra had seemed that much more suitable, and now, as Vanitas stood at the arena, clad in his armor and helmet, he wasn’t sure exactly how to react. The announcer had Introduced Terra, but the form before him had that unmistakable silver hue. And his speak patter, and what he claimed. “So it is true…You managed to do it you old man.”
The Bell rang, and Terra--Xehanort--wasted no action Immediately he had placed out a palm, and Vanitas watched as the twelve molten rocks rose to surround his Opponent. I don’t care if he’s a vessel of that crazy old bastard or not, |
[/I] Vanitas thought, watching the Meteors spin and then converge on his location, his form taken in by flame as the rocks struck true, but hit no form, the real Vanitas having Teleported and moved to make a three strike combo against this form, taking a small step in on his right foot to bring his key blade down, then moving his left and planting it sideways in front of his right, spinning to his right to strike Terra on his left from behind, and then moving closer once more, presuming the other attacks had pushed him back a bit, and bringing his key blade upwards at an angle from the bottom left to the upper right. Such a move would be risky, but the last time he had been in this arena, using powers outright had been… effective, but only to a point. Best to save the others for other things.
After Image - Vanitas teleports, leaving an after image of himself and moving behind his opponent to counter through either striking down from above, or striking in quick succession. [2 Post Cooldown]
Actions Taken: 1st: Waited until it would look as though he was hit by the Meteors to teleport, leaving the convincing After-Image to teleport behind Terranort. 2nd: Attacked Terra in a three strike Combo as detailed in post in quick fashion.
