Zhuyu Voghfau Byot
Age: Unknown (Approx. 25 to 30) | Male |
While Zhuyu had no idea what the significance of this place was, nor did he know it was the factory of a man named Santa Claus (including his importance to many children), Zhuyu nevertheless found himself standing at the back door of Santa's factory. A fair few elves were hoisting decorative boxes upon boxes toward a sleigh, which had 9 reindeer all neatly aligned in front of it, attached at the reigns to be steered by whomever would take the seat.
After a few moments, one of the elves happened to notice the unusual stranger standing and watching. Zhuyu noted the incredible difference in height as the short little elf approached him. The silver-haired l'Cie stood at 6 feet in height, and his stoic, but oddly grumpy face worked in tandem with that height to usually scare off smaller people, including children. But this one approached freely. "Hey, you're not supposed to be back here." The elf sharply explained. Zhuyu's brow quirked curiously in response.
Upon returning to the crystal earlier in the day, Zhuyu had received a message akin to 'I don't care what you do, just do it away from me' from the Suzaku crystal. Thus, he had nothing to do and nowhere to be. He was like a lost puppy in moments like these. Normally he'd simply go and see Caetuna, as his only companion, but as far as Zhuyu could recall, she was supposed to be in stasis now. The l'Cie knew his recollection was hardly reliable, but the fact that he couldn't feel her presence and never saw her around lead him to believe it was true. "Hey!" The tiny elf barked again, pulling Zhuyu's attention back to reality, "You have to leave!"
"I have no place to go." Speaking flatly, Zhuyu gave the elf a rather empty stare. The elf sighed, before pointing the tall, powerful man toward several stacks of boxes. "Well then...I suppose Santa wouldn't like me throwing you out. So make yourself useful while you're here!" The elf had clearly intended to make Zhuyu work, assisting the elves in their menial labor with his far more suited physique. As he had nothing to do, Zhuyu quietly nodded and moved toward the boxes. Without the crystal's will, he supposed one master was as good as any other.
As his long legs brought him to the stack of boxes, he properly noticed the rather aesthetically pleasing way they were all wrapped. Big or small, each box was wrapped with extreme love and care. Even a l'Cie could tell that much, though they had little means of understanding it for themselves. Zhuyu leaned down and grasped a medium sized box, roughly the size of his chest, and threw it over to the sleigh. It bounced on the shoveled path of cobblestone with a loud thud, whatever was inside was made of glass, and shattered within. The elves in attendance all stopped and stared in awe at Zhuyu for what he had done. They were almost horrified by the sight. The elf who had requested Zhuyu's help quickly ran toward him.
"Those are Christmas presents!" He shouted in shock and anger. "You can't treat them like that!" Zhuyu looked between the elf and the broken box he had thrown a few times, as if something in his mind hadn't quite clicked yet... Finally, he inquired with an emotionless tone; "What is Christmas? Why does it need all of these?" The elf groaned audibly.
"I don't have time for this... Just don't throw any more. Walk them over and place them inside carefully." The elf spoke with a very exhausted kind of frustration, one evident of a large amount of hard work in a short amount of time. "Very well." Zhuyu neutrally responded. He turned around and grasped another box. This one was much larger than the last, easily almost as tall as he himself was. The l'Cie lifted it without trouble however, as his strength far outmatched that of any human and most creatures, even without the full extent of it. He approached the large brown bag on the sleigh, walking right by the present he had thrown earlier, and as he had been about to set the box down in it, the bag opened and released a white light. The box was pulled from Zhuyu's arms and sucked within, seemingly shrinking in size as it did.
"Huh." Was all the interest Zhuyu could muster, and even at that, the tone it came out in was deep and aloof. It was hard to care about things when you had little emotions... But with his first box delivered, he sauntered off and returned to work, carrying more boxes to the bag only to watch those get sucked in as well. Though he had to admit, he was still a bit curious... He still had no idea what this 'Christmas' thing actually was. Was it a person or a monster, and all these boxes were some kind of tribute? Or was it a location, and these boxes were simply being disposed of? Those were the real questions...
