In the Beast’s Castle, all seems well, dark as gloomy as this world could be. The vast rooms and hallways in the castle were silent, especially the ballroom. Outside, a horse’s neigh could be heard as the clopping of hooves sounded off louder and louder as it grew closer to the Castle. Suddenly, the glass windows of the ballroom shattered as a headless man and his horse crashes into the room. As this came to pass, the grand doors of the ballroom opened and another being, a god known as Hades, entering the room. He pauses at the mess of glass and it’s root cause. “You do know that the front gates and the door was unlocked, right? Could’ve just waltzed right in and avoid that whole dramatic schmatics. Ah well.” The Lord of the Dead looks around the room. “Yeah, yeah, this world should do the trick. This creepy castle has this all “spooky” vibes the mortals see in those whach’amacallits. Perfect for that little idea of a “masquerade” idea you have there, Headless.” Hades rambled as he casually strides into the ballroom, “Could use more lighting though which CAN be easily fixed. HA!” The Lord of the Dead aims and fired several fire shots at the candles in the chandelier, igniting them in blue flames. The Horseman trotted around, the horse’s hooves clopped around the area. Despite the lack of a head, he appeared to be looking at the Greek death god. “Hey, hey, hey now!!! Don’t give me that look! Now how in the Underworld was I supposed to know that Jerkiles would topple down my labyrinth right before the huge Halloween shebang happened?! Of course using corpses as the labyrinth walls likely was not the best idea since they weren’t too sturdy enough. Eh, perhaps when that whole decomposition in a couple decades or so happens; their bones would be finally useful for something.” Hades rambled as he shot a bullet of fire at an unsuspecting Hook Bat hiding in the chandelier. A quick wave of his arms and tables full of suspiciously delicious food and drinks popped up at bear the walls. The Headless Horseman casually throws a couple hundred Jack-O-Lanterns near those tables. “Okay, okay. We got the place set up. Now we need to throw out the party invitations.” With snap of Hades’ fingers, a multitude of black and green envelopes appear, floating simultaneously until all of them flew out of the broken ballroom window. “Music!” A boombox appears, playing the most haunting of ballads. The Headless Horseman casually pokes the death god and motions toward direction of the readers. “Oh, right. Thanks for reminding me, pal. You’re a good listener and you’re good at noticing this stuff.” Hades turns. “Well then, if you mortals haven’t already noticed, we’ve got a masquerade set up for you guys. Just come on in and come hang out with us! This party is just too good to go wrong!” Several howls could be heard outside of the castle and both Hades and the Horseman looked toward the windows then they both shrugged. “Eh, just a bunch of wolves. This place has been empty for who knows how long. There can’t possibly be anyone here.”

THIS IS WAR
Light was not in the habit of breaking and entering, or partying. She was not one who could be called the life of any party, or the light at the end of the tunnel. She was a bit of a downer in the social scene. She did not appreciate socializing the way others did. She was quiet and listened, but there was usually little she could share about herself and her experiences, but it was simply due to her upbringing. She was the eldest daughter and with her father and mother both dying while Serah and her were still young, the young girl was forced to grow up faster than was should be required of youth in such days. Growing up so fast she was expected to work and missed having fun that others her age were entitled to. If not for the a guilty after thoughts of things her little sister may have wished to do, Lightning would never leave the house for anything aside for groceries. But there was always a chance to learn something when you mingled around so many people. She was not against meeting new faces, she was just bad at it, especially with an infamously short behavior for irritating behaviors. It was pretty strange for a party to be held in a dreary place like this. If she was honest, the warrior got the creeps with the place. It was just not a normal place to hang out. This was why she hated the haunted way in Nautilus. What was weirder was who the party as being held by. The Valkyrie supposed there was a lot weirder things that went on in the worlds. This was probably the most normal thing she had dealt with in a long time. She could afford to dress up a little. Holidays were nice and all, but a bit meaningless without friends or family around. Plus this was not really a holiday she had a chance to ever celebrate back home. She was always busiest during that time, hunting down monsters who had become unnaturally aggressive. The warrior strode her way toward the large doors, pushing in. She would make her way to the main area where the ball was being held. It was a masquerade, so Light made sure to follow the dress code. She was not very spooky, but she felt dressing up was something you did to enjoy it. Though she would never admit it aloud she had a certain fondness for superheros. Her costume was a flashy red outfit, befitting the leader of the heros. A short cape hung behind her like a lord’s tabard. She was a warrior so her best dress was such a set of armor. The mask that concealed her features did nothing to hide those strands of strawberry blonde hair. Looking around she found the ballroom quite decorated. Was she the first here? Ugh… she was already feeling awkward. Shaking the thoughts from her mind Light would march forward, almost stiffly, in hopes to find something to do with herself.

He wanted to host a party, and it’s not like she tagged along willingly. She was mildly interested seeing how she was left in the dark about most things. It would be foolish for her to think he wasn’t up to something. Curiosity made her compliant, and there were seldom times she ever gave a flat no. With a silent yes, everything spurred out of her hands, and there she was standing at the balcony mildly intrigued, but as blank as a ghost. Many believed white was suitable for a ghost, but she felt haunted with the long black lace dress. It wasn’t precisely in her taste, but she admired the train and appreciated the modesty. Although most of her skin was covered, she felt cold from the outside air making her skin stung with goosebumps. She only appeared and felt human as she hugged her arms to stay warm and stay guarded.
But what protected her the most was her mask. The face it covered most of her face felt oddly comforting. He liked it for the contrast; everything was dark on her drowning all the light. The feathers was an inside joke and truth to her identity. What was adored the most was how her hair and eyes radiated from the darkness. It was alarming how bright they were when she saw herself, but they dulled in spirit when her surprise faded. She needed to practice that, smiling with her eyes, being lively, and acting ‘normal’. She wasn’t sure which role to play now; at least for now with the castle practically empty, she can be hallow and empty. But such peace in silence wouldn’t last long as little pink bird landed on the pale balcony.
“You better get in there sister and MINGLE!”
She was getting better at tuning them out, Pain and Panic. At times they are the liveliness she needed, while other times they were simply too much. Her eyes narrowed as he flitted off. It was time to put on appearances. Turning on her toes, she can hear her feet click with each step as she returned the ballroom; it was more lit than before, but the blue flames still made it eerie. It never made Aotori flinched; she was used to this at ‘home’; still it can use some warmth if he expected people to feel welcomed here unless this was appropriate for the gathering.
“I was starting to think I would be the only one to show, or at least the castle itself would scare people off,” goodness she was talking more than she was use to at the strawberry blond guest, who hadn’t acknowledged her presence. “Or they assumed it’s the wrong place, wrong address.”

Hold, release, Rakshasa and carcasses! If there was anything that Antique loved, it was parties. A celebration where lots of people got together and had a merry old time? Of course the baker would! Granted this year she had no time to properly put together a party of her own had bummed her out (hey, who knew being a keyblade wielder would be so much work?), when the invitation magically appeared before her, she gleefully accepted, even without knowing what she was agreeing to!
But a masquerade? And a Halloween masquerade, nonetheless? No one was supposed to know who you were, right? Hmm.
She glanced sideways at the white fox mask her mother had bought her back in the day when she came back from her adventures; it was a strangely elegant thing that looked surreal. Being such short notice changed things around too. Perhaps she could be one of those fox spirits her mother had told her so much about. That seemed like something that could be mildly scary!
So there she was, standing in the corner of this party. Where there was basically…well. No one. Blue flames gave the castle an eerie feel.
Had this been a good idea? She had put in a lot of thought into masking her identity. With her face completely covered by the rather eerie looking mask and the long scraggly (but real) looking wig, perhaps she did not think that the paleness of her skin would have maybe added a little too much to the effect of the costume. Though she seemed pleased with herself, the costume gave her a bit too much of an eerie feel, as if she were a fox spirit herself.
It did not help that when the light caught her eyes, it caught the natural color, creating an eerie red glare from behind that mask.

[/a], fell down at the black envelope clutched in her hand. Creed had already read the contents within, but failed to acknowledge where it had came from. Someone had invited her to a masquerade ball, at a castle she had never seen before. It all seemed a little suspicious to the dark saviour. None the less, Creed would be crazy to turn down an invite to a room full of luscious souls. Knowing full well that she would cause a stir at the ball, Creed would have to be sensible in her choice of attire. Wanting to make an effort, she chose a black dress, short enough for movement of her legs if she needed to run at any point. Her back remained exposed so that she could extend her dark tendrils whenever she wanted without difficulty. Tossing the envelope over her shoulder, Creed pressed on and entered the castle. Not that she would admit it, Creed was looking forward to the party. Not for the innocent souls which lurked within, but for the dancing and food! It had been a long time since she had had proper food. The pale haired girl was sure to make a beeline for the buffet, assuming there would be one. Pushing her way through the doors, she was led into a large ball room. Blue flames lit up the interior, giving it a ghastly glow. Orange balls of some sort dotted around the room, lit from within its core and lighting up carved faces on its surface. This was all so strange to the foreign saviour. As she stood by the doorway, she noticed three other females had also been invited. Feeling somewhat relived that she was not to be the only one, Creed walked across the hall. Her purple glowing eyes had already made contact with the food spread across the table. Creed would feed upon the party food until she felt the need to start extracting some souls. [/ul][/div]

Well, well. It appeared that the guests have received their invitations and have started to arrive in trickles. Even the pretty blue bird, recognizable by the blue sheen of her hair, had arrived which caused the god of the underworld to smirk. One day, she’ll recall the defeat that the keybearer had forced Hades and the Ice Colossus to feel so long ago but for now, for the sake of Halloween, the party shall go on.
“Heeeey ladies. What do ya say we go grab a drink and go talk about how much fun you’re having, yes?” asked Hades, approaching Lightning and was about to put an arm around her shoulders before he spotted Pain and Panic at the food table, “Oi! Pain! Panic! You two are supposed be on the lookout and make sure that security is doing their job!!” Both Pain and Panic jumped and saluted before scampering off. Panic still had a sandwich in his mouth.
Meanwhile, the Headless Horseman stood on the sidelines with his own sandwich in hand. The sandwich had a considerable chunk missing as if the Horseman had eaten it. The god of the dead quickly came up to him and slapped his shoulders. “Hey buddy! What are ya doing here eating? Wait how are you eating that thing anyway? You have no head…”
A strong gust of wind coming from a fast-moving crimson blur bursts the balcony doors open and into the ball room. The flames of every candle and any other source of flame, including Hades’ hair [ “Whoa, who turned out the light??”], dies out in a blink of an eye and putting the room into complete darkness. A blood-curdling scream could be heard then sudden silence.
“ALRIGHT ALRIGHT! LIGHT’S ON!” Hades quickly relights every candle in the room which revealed a very grisly sight to behold; a young man in a suit and brown eyes open impaled on the chandelier. Whoever, or whatever, committed the atrocious act had already escaped the ballroom. “Well then. What a sight to behold. PAIN! PANIC!”
The two lackeys ran over, trembling and noticed the new decoration in the chandelier. “Get that thing off before it starts to drip on the floor or even the food table. Then go find whoever did this so I CAN RIP THEIR HEARTS OUT FOR TRYING TO BEST ME ON PARTY ENTERTAINMENT!!” The God turned bright red and his hair bursts upward toward the ceiling. “AYE AYE SIR!!!” The duo shifts into vultures and removed the corpse, throwing it out of the balcony window and into some bushes below. Then they scrambled back inside then out, but glanced inward at the door frame. “Hey, if you guys want to help find the killer, go ahead and search all the rooms. Be ca-careful though. I don’t think H-Hades took care of the Heartless here yet.”
[Now's the time to go search all the rooms and see if there are any clues!]

An invitation to a masquerade party at Beast's Castle? The times Lea could remember about Beast's Castle is during his Nobody days, along with the stories his best friend, Roxas, would tell him about the place after collecting hearts from the world. The message even stated, "This gemstone of a castle was once feared by all, but not anymore! Come, and feast your eyes upon the spookiest abandoned castle no one has ever entered before!" Has Beast truly abandon his home, or has he ran away from possible Heartless infestations with his friends? The more Lea thought about it, the more he shook the problematic ideas from his thoughts. He hated thinking too much, everything gets complicated that way. Instead of withdrawing from the party and wonder what it's all about, he might as well show up and be like any other guest. After all, where was the harm in attending a party full of other masked guests? In some sense, some will stand out while others will saunter away to be alone; every party has that sort of humorous gathering from time to time. However, before he could even make his way towards the castle's main entry doors, a loud shriek followed by pure silence filling the empty night sky. Was that meant to happen, or did someone truly underwent a dramatic end during the party's opening? ["This place is already giving me the creeps... Man oh man... Hope that was just a cruel joke."] Lea thought as he looked down at the invitational message again. ["Since this is a halloween party, I guess anything could happen, accident or not. What a downer already; just when I'd expect a good, harmless night without worrying about the little stuff."] Wasting no further time, eliminating his greeting card with his own flames, Lea entered the castle's doors with his mask donned prior upon arrival to the world via the Corridor of Darkness. It was strange that he could possess the power still, even summon his Chakrams that were specifically made during his emotional-less days under the old Organization, but then again wielding the Keyblade has still been a challenge; he hasn't even given the key a name yet! With a small huff, sorting out his red suit for a few seconds, he looked ahead to overhear a faint conversation. ["At least someone's breaking the ice that was bound to come."] He thought to himself, a small smile fainting over his lips as he could guess that the majority of guests have yet to arrive, unless everyone were playing an awkward game of 'Mute the Lips'. "This outta be fun. Beats sticking around Radiant Gardens with Evan yakking his mouth off in my ears." With a cold chill running down his spine, he sauntered through the blue-lit lobby and up the stairs, preparing himself for anything and everything to go either fantastically swell, or destructively wrong. "Hello, mysterious fellows!" Lea announced himself as he let himself in with the doors wide open, taking a quick glance around the room to realize that, sadly, there were rarely a handful of masked guests filling up the entire ballroom. Talk about being the early bird, but one could guess that the invitations were still making their way towards other interesting guests. Speaking of which, the current guests were only... women... ["I should feel lucky right about now but... something tells me these ladies aren't the grand winners of a society contest..."] Lea suspected as he took note of a woman who wore nothing but black as her main appearance, with only peacock feathers showing little effort in showing more color to her overall dark presence. Yet, her mask does foretell who she could originally be, with the aid of her long blue strands of hair, but Lea hasn't got a clue as to who she could be. Moving on, he spotted a pink-haired woman who clads herself in armor as a means for wearing a dress. ["It's nice to see someone's wearing protective clothing in case things get dicey."] He humored himself as he smirks at how the armored woman even went out of her way to wear a cape of some sort on her back. If observed the wrong way, she could fool anyone's eyes that she could of been a he, but it just goes to show that there are people who have their quirky styles of appearance. After all, Lea was no exception since his outfit was a resemblance to a classical opera character, just so that he wasn't out of the Halloween vibe of the party. Next, he gazed upon a damsel in the ballroom; a presumably young woman whose halloween spirit definitely shows with her choice of wear. A white fox mask hands above her left eye, a dreary grey kimono bundled loosely around her body - with colorful flowers as patterned decor, an overused umbrella that has the seasonal color of Fall, her blonde hair with twin ponytails along with dyed strands of red hair, and lastly her ghostly pale skin to give off the bone-chilling scare. She was practically a ghostly spirit who has never forgotten her timeline of casual wear, yet what the fox mask entails is a subtle mystery. The young woman herself seems to be more content in being alone, to which Lea couldn't really complain about since this place will eventually be filled with complete strangers from far and wide homelands. Finally, he noticed an odd woman who seemed quite focused on the food that were spread along the walls of the ballroom, the long tables were definitely large enough to hold onto very delicious plates and platters of food; a field day for even the mightiest food cravers. Her choice in her dress color was straightforward, mainly black like the first woman Lea spotted, but the dress itself was more revealing than all the other women in the room. One small difference is her elegant purple/black mask, which seemed to also blend well with, or change, her purple eye color. Out of all the rest she seemed very different, bold in her appearance, which definitely meant Lea had already began to see what sort of party this was slowly turning towards. "So, what did I miss?" He asked with a friendly smile, only to lose the smile and raise an eyebrow when he spotted a fiery blue-haired, crooked teeth man, and a horseman who had no head. "Oh... so the scream did come from someone."

THIS IS WAR
Light felt a bit out of place at a party. All the sights and sounds were something that put her in an uncomfortable position Normally she had her sister by her side, or the little bit of hope in her ear, but here it was nothing but silence. Well -- as much silence as a party could have. She felt more comfortable in a suit than a dress any day. Not that she was not fond of dresses, but it was more attention than she really wanted. Plus she could move a bit better this way. Looking around the place was rather well decorated. For a palace of dank, moss-covered morbidity. The food looked pretty well made, but seeing the host she was quickly put off. It wasn’t the firefly, but the headless guy. Something about that totally creeped her out. Moving to cross her arms over her chest the masked warrior sighed. She was stuck between a rock and a hard place. On one hand the food was no longer an option, and on the other really moving to socialize with a headless guy or one on fire was not on her list of things to go ahead and do. She would be on the look out for anything suspicious or troubling. After all she was here to play her role as a reaper and it was no good to head out before adequately scouting the surroundings.
Other guests began to trickle in. It did not seem that she was the only invited. She felt that would be a little silly. But she also wondered as to why she was even invited in the first place, or how. She wanted to question it, but magic was a confusing and sometimes unreliable mistress. Maybe it was a mistake she got the invitation, or she was selected with purpose. Either way the Valkyrie did not believe in coincidences so would accept her current fate and stay to watch. Maybe there was an Artefact here. But there was the chance she was simply wasting her time. Her glance drifted toward a lone, blue-haired woman in the distance, but before Light could really see her face or who it was a head of green took her aback for a moment. What was with these strange hair colors? The woman, most commonly, was confronted with black and white hair. Serah and her had shade a bit rare for their world, but it suited the sisters. Normally green hair was even more scarce than the rose colored counterpart Light was known for, so of course it would easily catch her eye. The dashing red devil strode in as if he owned the place. She already felt that this guy may be arrogant. The grey-haired girl did not really attract too much of her attention, she seemed ordinary enough. But seeing as the people swept in she felt a little overdressed, save for the younger looking, green-haired girl who robbed extravagantly. Rolling her shoulders, the red pauldrons settled into a relaxed position against her form. He blue gaze tries to find a space to focus in, trying to keep attention on her environment. Lightning hated spooky things and creepy places and this party was the epitome of both! Ugh.
She felt a warm heat, her eyes snapping to her left as the sleazy death god tried to put the moves upon the death goddess. Light shifted so her left arm was reaching to summon her blade, but suddenly the lights went out! When the lights came back on it seemed they were met with a vision of murder. Great. Light could only hope this death was not fault of her. Great now there was a murder on the loose and it put the warrior on guard. The Masquerade party just turned into a murder party. Looking around -- she highly doubted the current individuals were to blame, but one never knew. Well it seemed even their gracious host had no clue as to the current events. The reaper would have to be the first to step up to the place.
"You would think there would be tighter security." She noted, resting her left hand on her hip, lowering it from its previous position of reaching to strangle the flaming god of death.
This was nothing like the parties at Yusnaan and there stood only two little, annoying, imps as guards. It was a dying party before it even started, she felt. There clearly, now, seemed reason for her to be here. Maybe a soul or two would be saved in the process. Throwing out her hand she would summon her blade to her right hand and shield upon her left wrist.
"I'll look ahead." Of course Lighting would rather not play hero in this manor.
It made chills crawl up her spine.
Without further hesitation the Valkyrie marched out into the hall. "Great, searching for a murder in a haunted haven." She muttered to herself in complaint. The valiant warrior made her way to the bottom of the steps and looked around. It was cold out here, like something was watching her...

Perhaps she didn’t speak loud enough or the heroic dressed woman was too absorbed drinking all the details. It was hard to ignore Hades; not only was his hair was bright, his personality matched. Her brows dipped behind the mask in how quick he slithered towards them. It felt like he was trying too hard, but why? Everything was happened a beat after the other; Aotori didn’t even notice the other women slip into the party.
A gust rushed through the room ruffling her dress and forcing the feathers on her mask to wave. She was hit with a chill before darkness overtook them. She had become acquainted with the dark, but it was quite inappropriate for a party. What was goin-
Instinctively she flinched and tensed. The atmosphere and scream sent another chill up her spine, and unintentional her right hand was weighted down by The Battlefield of War in a purple glimmer. Hades’ yell didn’t help. With a whispered hissed, she sent the blade away, and it faded from her grasp. She know she wasn’t suitable for a sociable outing, but she didn’t need to make it apparent with paranoia edginess.
A body was revealed in the light. hilight
She can feel uneasiness in the pit of her stomach. Closing her eyes, she regained her center before she could taste bile. This was unfortunate, and all of this talk about a party sounded worthwhile and energetic compared to what’s at ‘home’.
"You would think there would be tighter security."
“Who could foresee this?” She added with a side glance at @lightning
It was ironic to have death at a party hosted by the Lord of the Dead. He gained another soul, while possibly putting off his guest. She still wondered why he wanted to throw this in the first place.
"Hello, mysterious fellows!"
Talk about timing. Yes, this was running very smoothly. The imps answered his question before she could.
“Hey, if you guys want to help find the killer, go ahead and search all the rooms. Be ca-careful though. I don’t think H-Hades took care of the Heartless here yet.”
Lightning walked off to start the search. Aotori tilted her head at the Red Death (@axel) before her, “a party turned into a hunt.”
“The host,” she paused as her eyes focused on Hades,” is concerned…about the mess, not much the guest. How many souls will he have tonight?”
A possible heartless was loose, and someone apparently died. He didn’t like someone upping the intensity, yet didn’t reject the idea of his very guest pursuing the said killer. Either this was staged or he was a poor party planner? Was this ever a genuine party?
“We should go,” she spoke to all of them, but her voice wasn’t loud, “it wouldn’t be as eventful here.”
She chose not to summon her weapon now, patience. Her gait was a ghostly glide as she clicked out of the Ballroom into the Entrance Hall. The Castle still had its baroque motif, and gargoyles sat at the foot of the pillars. The Pink Knight stood at the base of the stairs, while The Jay stood far behind her.
“Nothing,” she questioned curiously as she drifted towards The Parlor. She was a thorough individual; it was a long shot that it would stay close-by, but who knew what it could’ve down during its escape. Warm light slipped through the ajar door from the fireplace within.
This should be something…
The search continued.

This certainly took the cake for one of the most authentic Halloween parties she had ever experienced; and believe her—she was certainly an expert on cakes. The creepy atmosphere; the eerie blue lights, the banquet of…she hoped that was gourmet food, and finally…well…the scream and the…uh…dead guy on the chandelier? Her mouth went agape but quickly closed itself as soon as the lights came back on line. A dainty white hand covered her mouth as she looked around—really, REALLY took a good look at the guests.
Unfortunately, being a masquerade, she was not quite familiar with anyone here. She would have thought that perhaps she’d at least recognize the host who had invited her, right? Even the fellow with the glowing blue hair (charming person, really) was no one that she could recognize at all. And the knight with the pink hair? He reminded her of someone that she knew, but she could not quite put her finger on it. Meh—she had traveled worlds…perhaps she had met him in passing. As far as the red haired gentleman, and two elegantly dressed ladies? Yup; no clue. That was a bummer…she thought she would at least know one person here!
But now it had turned into a Murder Mystery…
Lucky to her, Antique had been here once before on an adventure. Oh, those were the days. She remembered when she was beating up bad guys (kind of!) with a frying pan! Now…where would a murderer hide? “Well, isn’t this fun?” she hummed to herself as she slipped passed the rest of the guests, twirling the old tattered umbrella in her hand. Probably a good idea to head off by herself; if that was a real dead body, that meant there was a real murderer. She had no idea who it was…or if it was one of them. If the Heartless was still around the castle, she was sure she could…handle them for the most part. That meant…she’d have to protect all of them too.
In either case, the Library seemed like a good place to start.

[/font][/b] She rubbed the corner of her lip with her thumb, indicating the location of leftover sandwich. Finding her little joke humorous, she went to turn to grab an alternative to the toffee apple. The half eaten apple would be placed back on the plate it came from after finding it rather vile in taste. Upon reaching for her next snack, everything went black. Her purple eyes glowed furiously as she adjusted to the sudden change in light. Upon turning around, she could faintly see a body rock upon the chandelier. She had the ability to see faintly through the darkness, but her sight didn’t react quickly enough to the change which led her to miss what had happened. The blue flame which belonged to the strange blue man illuminated the room after it had been blown out, followed by the candles as he magically relit them all in the same glow as his hair. Creed’s eyes adjusted again. Her eyes remained locked onto the lifeless body upon the chandelier once everything was lit up again. There were a few screams as they, too, noticed the body dangling from above. Creed, however, found it all rather amusing. Placing her hands on her hips, she grinned up at the body. ”Things are starting to get interesting.” Oh how she loved to see the fear amongst those who feared death. People started to leave the room, no doubt fleeing from the murder scene. There were a few exceptions. A tall female lady with pink hair had summoned her blade and shield, ready for whatever was to be expected next. She was no fool, Creed could see that. The woman had prepared herself for such events by her choice of attire it would seem. Creed made a mental note to try avoid being on the other end of the blade of hers. There was a blue haired female, also dressed in a long black dress. She showed no signs of any weapons, but was quick to follow the pink haired woman out of the doors. Was she frightened? She certainly didn’t show it. Maybe she wanted protection from the pink haired lady? Creed smiled. The blue haired girl could be a potential snack for her later. The girl with the green hair wearing the fox mask didn’t seem too bothered by the sight. She casually walked through the doors twirling an umbrella in her hand. Perhaps she thought this event was staged? Creed turned her attention back on the body which was being seen to by two small pink and green demons of some kind? ”What kind of party is this?” She questioned before she, too, decided to play along with this game which Hades had started. As she walked through the ball room, she noticed that another guest had stuck around. He was dressed all in red with a friary mask covering his unusual teal eyes. Locking her sight on him, Creed would size him up as she passed him, before turning ahead and continuing out of the double doors and into the hallway. The pink and blue haired females had seemed to have chosen the hallway for their search. The green haired girl had ventured off, leaving Creed to go the opposite way. Unknown the layout of this castle, Creed would wonder downwards, unknowingly towards the dungeons. There was nothing wrong with a little sightseeing anyway. Who knew, maybe she would accidently find another dead body along the way. The thought tickled her. Forget searching for clues, Creed wanted to feed on some souls. Maybe she could tag team with this mysterious murderer and bring some chaos to the party. Now that would be interesting.[/ul][/div]

Pain and Panic fled away from the doorway to avoid getting caught floundering around and not actually searching for the killer. They ran quickly toward the Courtyard area where the class act of the party must have left something, anything, around to at least give them a clue on what kind of person they were dealing with. “Hey! Pain! Look! I think I found something over here!” Panic ran over to the bushes where his buddy was and frowned. “That’s bad…”
Meanwhile…
The moonlight illuminated the walls and the staircase in the Hallway where Lightning and Aotori were located. The candle lights from the Ball Room flickered behind them and their light danced across the walls. As the blue-haired woman approached the Parlor door, the once ajar door flew open as two Lance Soldiers slide out with three Living Pods and four Hook Bats following behind. It seems that they have found a very different kind of party. The two Lance Soldiers immediately attempt to impale the blue woman while the Hook Bats attempt to hook the pink warrior by the collar.
In the darkness of the Dungeons, there was no light to illuminate Creed’s path. At first glance, this area would appear to be the perfect place for the Heartless to lurk as they are able to hide in the shadows of each corner. Or even the statues: four gargoyle knights and 3 gargoyle warriors broke free from their stone prisons and ready their weapons in front of the violet woman’s path. Two of the knights jumped forward and swing their swords at her torso and only one of the warriors jumped and swung his axe at her legs.
Pale moonlight wafted through the windows of the Library, giving the place an eerie appearance. The sounds of a child sobbing could be heard within the maze of shelves. It wasn’t long until a little girl in a tattered red dress peeked out from one of the aisles. When she appeared to be deeming the area and the strange lady safe, she walked toward the green-haired keybearer sniffling. “H-have you seen m-my d-doll?” She asked Antique quietly and sounded scared, “Sh-she’s wearing a b-blue dress and has brown hair…My mommy made her…A-And I dropped her somewhere here…”

Lea crossed his arms once the pink-haired bodyguard commented on the lack of actual guards, to which he can actually agree. There were no guards at the gates, no guards at the entrance, and no guards within this room. Then again, Lea can take care of himself, if baddies decided to show up and make a mess out of the whole place. What did that mean about the other guests, then? Are they all capable of handling themselves? Judging by Pinky's -- the armored woman -- advance towards the Entrance Hall, leaving Lea to quickly step aside before getting squashed, she was definitely ready to handle anything on her own. ["This is sounding more like..."] "a party turned into a hunt." was the blue-haired woman's response towards Lea's question before she continued on, even eying on the blue-haired fireman who seemed to be the actual 'Host' to this... whatever it's called now.
Lea placed his hands on his hips, wondering if he should even bother following the warrior's lead, but the blue-haired woman passed by him instead, which he barely noticed her presence since she looked like a gliding puppet. He then spotted the kimono girl twirling her umbrella as she exited without a word nor intention to be heard much, finding it somewhat odd but it's to be expected certain guests would rather ignore other figures in the room. The last, but not the least, woman was completely opposite from the rest, catching Lea somewhat off guard as her eyes were definitely eying on him. Was she suspicious of his presence? Did he offend her indirectly? Was... he wearing the right cologne? Could it be that the previous guests avoided him due to some odor he was unknowingly producing? Realizing that he's gone into total nonsensical thoughts again, he mentally shook the thoughts away while expressing the dismissed thoughts with a simple scratch on his head. ["I really need to stop catching that kid's cluelessness..."]
Instead of following the rest of the crowd like sheep, Lea decided to investigate the Ballroom, where the actual scene of the crime took place. Unfortunately, all he could work with for now was the sight of blood on the chandeliers, with some droplets landing onto the table. It was quite the height to fall onto, so giant ladders were out of the question. Who would even want to kill a guest? Was the victim in question even invited to the party? To examine a crime with no body was like figuring out a puzzle with a third of the pieces lost, which can be a nuisance when you really need to see the whole picture.
First thing's first: examine the location of where the body was first found. With narrowed eyes Lea walked towards the center of the room, eyes looking towards the blood trails of where the deceased lied. First of all, the victim wasn't exactly impaled in the center nor thrown up into the massive candle holder, but that didn't throw out the possibility that he was thrown. Being placed onto it would only cause a slow, agonizing death, which could fit the bill, but so can the possibility of pressing the victim onto the branching candles. ["This isn't helping..."] He thought irritably. ["I need to search the body or else we'll be chasing a ghost forever..."]

THIS IS WAR
Lightning had stepped out into the hall, fully prepared for a fight. She had come to wonder why anyone would stoop as low as murder at a party. But, from the beginning, this place had been sketchy. She wouldn’t be surprised if it was one of the guests. Sometimes even the most innocent looking environment hid the most horrendous of monster. She had not gone there to party, far from it. Her duty was to find an Artefact and correct the path she had chosen. She was not sure if fighting now would make a difference, after she had ignorantly ignored it for so long, but it was better late than never. At least she was away from that creepy hot-head.
Her boots clicked against the floor with each forward step, her body carried in a smooth motion. As heavy as her armor seemed, she wore it without effort. In the stead of loud, noisy claps that would easily carry through the empty halls. Blue eyes peered out from her pink tresses, carefully examining the pillars and the very steps she strolled down. She felt others follow and split up, but what she noticed most was the blue haired woman, as she was the closest body to her. As the blue haired woman walked passed her, Lightning carefully circled to peer around the stairs. The dark spots in the corner of the steps were always a suspicious spot. They were best for exploring. Sometimes they were overlooked and you ended up the victim of an ambush, but it seemed there was never avoiding that…
Bursting from the blue-haired woman’s respective room erupted Heartless of various shapes and sizes. But one of the sizes Lightning was not expecting. The smaller Cie’th-like Heartless were winged and flapped around manically, making it difficult to target them. Lightning lashed her blade across the air at one of the creatures, but she was too slow to catch the other before the masked, armored woman was lifted off the ground as if she was not weighed down by her outfit. She struggled in its grip, hand coming up to the neck of her cuirass to keep the bodice from pulling up and choking her.
“What the hell?!” She shouted before throwing out her hand to try and grab it, to pull it off.

However as quick as they came, the Heartless in every location vanished from sight. The little girl who had once been sobbing before gave the keybearer a shy grin before fading away. Pain and Panic returned to the Ballroom with a little doll, impaled by pins, in their claws.
With a snap of the god's fingers, all Halloween decor and even the blood disappeared as if they were never really there. "Whoops, sorry folks. Looks like we ran out of time here. To compensate for the untimely and booooring ending of this event, here's 450 munny, which should now be in your for participation! See ya next year, or SOONER if you are just DYING to see me! Eh? Eh?" Hades opens a Corridor to Darkness and walks through it to return to his own Underworld while the Headless Horseman jumps back onto his steed and gallops out the window and into the Courtyard vanishing into the night.
This Event thread has Ended.
