[attr="class","ff"] [attr="class","fff"] NE [attr="class","ffff"] NE[attr="class","fffff"]STAR BURNING BRIGHT IN THE SKY JUST FOR YOU, JUST FOR YOU It could not be seen through the helmet of his armor but the look in Ventus's bright blue orbs was one of great sadness, as he moved through the thick and dark forest. The place looked so different than what he remembered it as, the light that had once illuminated every nook and cranny of the vast woodlands had been replaced by the foul darkness that allowed very little of the lights warmth to seep in. He hadn't yet bothered to look at the others areas of the world, for he knew that they shared to forests dark appearance. He kept moving, even as he could feel eyes peering towards his back. This needed to change. Whoever had done this to the world his friends had once called home needed to pay, and while the motive for his actions might have seemed like revenge...it was far more than that.
He was not just doing this for his friends, he was doing this for the light as a whole. They darkness had spread its roots far too thickly throughout the worlds, and it was time that someone made a dent in them. Granted he knew he couldn't do that task alone, and while he hadn't met many people since his return he had met someone who knew a lot of people. Sora. Which was why he had called on the Keybladers help for this matter, and he was sure that once Sora got here he would bring friend along. Someone powerful enough to help them handle this mess, not that he and Sora couldn't handle it themselves but the more help the better.
The armor man's feet stopped moving and his Keyblade appeared within his grasp quickly as the sound of twigs and branches breaking echoed throughout the area. The sound was close. Someone or something was approaching his location, things were going to get serious soon weren't they? His body tensed up slightly as he gripped the handle of his Keyblade with a force, and jolted himself around towards the source of the noise. Surely someone must have been coming from his left, right? He couldn't be sure, the darkness did like to play tricks on your mind. Even with his armor on it was likely that it was still trying to effect him. "I know you're here, no use in trying to sneak up on me." hopefully he was actually talking to someone and wasn't just hearing things, because if he wasn't...he had just given his position away.

陰 Dragon ☯ Shaman 陽 Can you see through the mist!?
This land was no stranger to the dragon. He remembered it was here he had done battle with a mighty phoenix, burning a scar across a small portion of the woodlands. A great, destructive game of power was played here in the epicenter of the darkness, many trees fell from this game. For many this world was inhospitable. Silence lurked every corner. The twitters of happy birds were replaced with the looming hoots of hungry owls waiting to prey on the small critters that dare roam in their hunting grounds. The darkness was a warming womb for the elemental eater who currently sat perched among the trees and branches high above the ground. Here he could see all around him. The dense canopy let not a speck of light penetrate and the darkness provided a perpetual nighttime within the woods depths. With the shadows the warm faces that the trees once reflected in the sun were now warning scowls as the dense fog of darkness twisted among them. Gentle branches once erupting with spring blossoms were now twisted and decrepit with the gnarling twists of dead and dying bark: reaching out for a snag of clothing or hair to come pass. The young dragon was in his element. Darkness fed his spirit and nature was where his body was housed. His dark clothing melted against the shadows of the trees, his amber eyes glittering like the maleficent sneer of a hungry Heartless. Unless the boy was fool enough, it would require one to look up in order to spot him. He had claimed this territory for his own. The perpetual darkness of these seemingly uninhabited woods fed him at constant. The trees were a grounds in which he could find sport by climbing and testing his strength against the deeply rooted trees that were likely a thousand times older than he. So he was not the most understanding when small little rodents wanted to cleanse his slice of paradise. His eyes traced the unfamiliar figure who was armored in what appeared to be plate mail, like a warrior. But even beneath that armor he could not hide the pure light that radiated from him. Inhaling that scent the dragon felt his eyelids slide closed and eyes shift back in pure hunger. He did not feed from the Light as the other half of his soul did, but the Light always summoned the denizens of Darkness to their side. At this offering of light he could hear the bading cries of his buried soulmate, clawing at his back to be freed. The weight of desire nearly crushed the young dragon, but he would grant his brother any desire. The dark twin stood sheltered in the darkness, nothing would be less inclined toward it than “the light.” The Titanic brute moved his gloved, left hand to his waist, just over his right hip, as his right hand held him steady on the branch. On his right hip sat his Feather Charm, a precious fetish that held the spirit of his twin brother, his other half. There sat in wait his soulmate. Where Fai was the Eater of Darkness, Cai was the Consumer of Light. The small creature was summoned on the branch by Fai and shifted to cutely look up at his brother. Where Fai was a properly grown figure, Cai had lost much of his true self to a Heartless and all that remained was the true shape of his soul: a small ShiShi; a Guardian Dragon Hatchling. The ruby-eyed ShiShi would step off the branch and fall onto the ground below, its wings going limp to prevent an instinctive spread-and-glide. Plummeting to the fauna below several branches of the bush he landed in would snap, calling to the attention of the Light Wielder, luckily out of sight for the time being. The fall had scratched the ShiShi up a bit and ruffled his fur and feathers. Shaking off a few leaves the tiny, cat-sized ShiShi, limped into view, coming toward Ventus from his left. The tiny, white-furred ShiShi held his right paw to his chest as he limped toward the warrior. Soft, chirping noises escaped the summoned beast, pained whines. The small creature than appeared to have collapsed, several feet from Ventus’ current location. It looked to be injured, as if it had been in a scuffle. There was not a speck of Darkness shadowing the small animal, likely a hapless fool to cross between worlds and end up in the wrong place, at the wrong time. The Titanic monster remained still in his perch, only shifting his weight when the branches would naturally give way and groan against the dark winds. Using this to his advantage the mountain borne dragon would slither across from tree to tree in the tightly knit canopies, blackened by the shadows, and position himself to Ventus’ current right. His boots easily gripped the bark below and his strong digits choked around the hearty branches of the upper shelves of wood. A hunter was patient, a hunter knew when to act.
- Cai faked injuries and approached Ventus- Fai moved into positionFeather Charm: Summons Cai's Shadow, which resides in Fai's shadow. The shadow appears to be a white, winged dog with red eyes, and seems to be shaped like a winged dragon known as a Shishi. Every forest would look identical to those with an untrained eye and it could easily have been the case for the wanderer that trod through this one. The forests in which the young man had encountered one of his friends looked much the same as the ones he walked through when meeting the girl with bright pink clothing and hair. The only difference between those two and this one, was this the forest was drenched in thick, choking Darkness. It was foul and everyone knew who had experienced such Darkness, could tell you that it liked to play tricks on your mind. While the spiky-haired youth was no stranger to the effects of the Darkness, it was never a bad thing to be doubly cautious. Granted that this Darkness 'felt' different to the evil that was the One Winged Angel, it only lead the SOLDIER First Class to wonder who or what could have spread this amount of Darkness over such a vast area. First assumptions would obviously have been the Heartless, but with more and more users of the Dark showing their faces as time went by, who could truly say what had caused this world to fall?
Treading carefully down a forest path, littered with dead leaves and roots of trees growing out of control, being careful not to snap a twig underfoot or kick a pile of leaves over, Cloud Strife pressed onwards. Even though the effects of the Darkness was crushing, the light of sun overhead failing to penetrate the forest canopy, there was something lurking within this maze of large wooden fauna that shone like a candle in the middle of a blackened room. Seems like Sora is already here... Strife thought to himself as he continued to press forth through the forest, not caring that he might be getting hopelessly lost in here. Half of his duty of being part of the Radiant Garden Restoration Committee, to him at least, was to venture to other worlds suffering from the Darkness and provide a helping hand. The task was great and as far as Cloud knew, only Sora was working to prevent the Darkness from taking over everything. Mostly because he held the only weapon that could achieve such a goal. It didn't shot down the SOLDIER's determination though. He'd experienced first hand the terrible power that someone with Darkness could do and he didn't want to see others suffering from similar causes.
Picking up his pace slightly to get to his destination faster, Cloud shot his eyes skywards when he startled some resting owls, whom all quickly rustled their feathers and wings to scramble away from the scary chocobo-haired man beneath them. Strife instantly pinned himself against the nearest tree when this happened and held his breath, listening for anything other then the sound of his own heartbeat and the flapping of panicked wings. When nothing seemed to have happened, Cloud allowed a shallow breath to escape his lips before poking his head out around the trunk behind him, mako-blue eyes glowing in the dark as they tried to see anything other then more trees and fauna. There! Between two trees up head was a figure, clad in what looked like a full sit of armour, much like that strange giant of a man he had bumped into back in Twilight Town. Granted that this stranger wasn't the same person but still wore a full suit of armour, Cloud's eyes narrowed when finding out that whomever this person was, it wasn't Sora. Could have sworn it was him... So if not... Who is that?
There were two things that Cloud could 'see' that confirmed that whoever this stranger was, he too was here to battle the Darkness. Firstly, the overwhelming aura of Light that he gave off was the first big give away and the second, was the Keyblade that he held within his grip. It looked like an ordinary Keyblade, unlike the terrifying one that the winged woman 'Artemis' had used against him back in the Coliseum a few days ago. There was something stopping the Delivery Boy from advancing upon the stranger though, and it was that the Darkness in this area seemed to have magnified several times. Was the source of the Darkness here? A portal from which Heartless poured out? A being of evil intent that caused all of this in the first place? Due to the helmet that the stranger wore, Cloud's glowing eyes could not figure out where he... or she, was looking. Unable to see the tiny creature on the ground beside the stranger, Cloud turned his eyes up into the branches of the trees, but again was not able to see anything out of the ordinary. Why was this area so much worse then all the others he had travelled through getting here? Something wasn't right here. It just didn't feel right.
Deciding to throw caution to the wind, Cloud revealed himself from behind the tree trunk of which he hid and slowly begun to approach the stranger in armour. His footsteps were soft but casual as he walked forth. Raising a gloved hand up to his mouth, the Delivery Boy was about to cough and clear his throat to alert the stranger to his presence, but Strife found himself looking upwards towards the thick canopy overhead, his glowing eyes staring at a specific spot in the branches where, unknown to him, was where Titan currently waited. He could have sworn he heard something, but after not seeing anything, he dismissed it as possibly more owls and proceeded to cough into his clenched fist, approaching the Keybarer. ”I assume you're here to--” Cloud found himself cut short when only now noticing the small white creature that lingered not too far from the stranger, with the stranger himself between the Delivery Boy and the critter. What was something like that doing so deep in this forest covered with Darkness?

PREVIOUSLY ON GARGOYLES|| DEMON OF NIGHT
“So this is what you mean of others worlds and mine is one of the many. Still I don’t see what purpose you have bringing me here to another human infesting world.” A heartless she highly regarded, the wyvern, had brought her to the City of Clocks, a city with a holy centerpiece and with gargoyles in their former glory as guardians. None of them awakened; either they were cursed or were carvings of admiration; she would prefer to be angry alone, but a peculiar abomination with the face of a human disturbed her, Titan.
"Than why do [the heartless] not seek to destroy her?” He asked in genuine curiosity; she utilized them so effortlessly to sniff him, “Has she no heart? Does that not make her, one of them?
“Never confuse me with these pests. They tried to take me in stonesleep, but my will and darkness overpowered them,” she can recall her awakening; the parasitic bog of darkness appeared in her mind to ensnare her heart. Naturally she was too prideful to welcome it and yield. She was filled with too much darkness and bitterness to not live and see another night as herself, “I took one of their own, drowned it in me.”
Her fangs glinted with the crooked smile; in her terms, she would said, she’d eaten it. Ever since then, the heartless hadn’t crossed her, but had bended to her will, “I will not sully the Gargoyle name falling to these lowly fiends. They are no better than what created them”
“We Gargoyles held pride as guardians …we were glorified and rightfully feared, but the petty fears of humans wasted away my people. My people aren’t perfect, but we didn’t bring the darkness that separated us all. I will not accept the idea that you could be looking at the last gargoyle of Wyvern County.”
She told him of a world she found one blanketed in night; it gave a new essence of freedom to not be trapped in stonesleep. He then informed her of a world blanketed in darkness. There many worlds out there, and if she doesn’t spread her wings to see and drown them all in darkness, she could never fulfill her vows, her wishes, and desires.
Her own words rang in her head, “[Those] corrupted spineless [humans] let their darkness consume them and us in the process. I’ll make them pay and return the FAVOR.”
---Excerpts from CITY OF STONE and RP SAMPLE---
When was the last time she basked like this or slept like this? For all she was concerned never unless it was days long passed when she was an Angel, his angel. It was long before her time where Gargoyles can live so freely; her childhood wasn’t rough, but being born in the steel age was a significant shift. The indestructible gargoyles had a weakness that was advantageous during sleep.
The gargoyle was stretched on a tree branch coveted in foliage. The shadows were enough to swallow her red hair. Her clawed hands cradled her head, while her wings wrapped around her like a blanket. This was a glorious experience, to sleep anywhere free. How can she not grant her people this opportunity? Although their rookies would always be their home, sanctuary, and nesting ground, they can live about their territory rather than secluded in caves. She spent enough of her life strategizing multiple rookeries locations, which were unconventional and non-traditional for gargoyles. Rough times forced them to cut corners and modify Their Way. What use was culture and tradition if they were dying out? The worlds needed to be prepped for her brethren; they will all have a home once she finds them.
Titan had forewarned her that people would want to cast the darkness out; it only made her laugh. Surely this darkness was made by man themselves. Such funny creatures, humans, were they always fighting themselves? Sure gargoyles had their politics, but it was laughable how the humans plight crossed and intersected at different worlds altogether.
Slowly she shifted over to look at the bleakness; the canopies made the woods ghostly. She could live it with, since she never experienced the daytime. The last she ever saw was dawn and dusk; she hadn’t adjusted to ‘time’ in this world. The animals still did as a trio of owls came to land on her tree. Yes, she was territorial by nature, especially after living of life where EVERYTHING was taken from her. It was probably low to bully animals, but she enjoyed the space too much to share. With a snort, she got their attention before flaring her eyes red followed by a swipe of her claws.
Rustle Rustle Rustle
The birds left noisy, but her long ears picked up another sound near the ground. She frowned slightly with a twitch of her nose. If it was Titan he would’ve said something already or crudely invaded her privacy. The fledgling needed to learn to appreciate space. As a huntress, she remained poised and didn’t move, waiting.
“What now,” she thought with a tilt of her head. After a long pause of silence, she finally saw it from her view. Some of the leaves were blocking her line of sight, so she sat up slowly. She wasn’t spotting a human. What was he doing here? Her eyes narrowed with a low hum; the red color was slowly returning.
She needed eyes and ears; it was time to get up. Not only was the stranger was enough to make her attentive, there was light, and it wasn’t from the castle. For a moment, she contemplated knowing precisely what could be unraveling. But first, she’d wait; over anticipating could be the very worst thing to do. Re-situating herself, she sat with her back to the main center of the tree.
“He shouldn’t be far from here either. I can tell.”

Powers& Notes 1. X 2. X 3. X
Ven, Making assumption that Ven shows Sora his Keyblade armor at some point in Twice Removed. Hope that's okay. TAGS @blackout, @ventus, @titan, @cloud, @demona | Hi Ho, Hi Ho, It's off to battle we go~ This had yet again been another world Sora had not been able to save from the darkness plummet, but now stood upon with sorrow. The second he had managed to land upon the ground of this planet--which his Gummi Ship had identified as “Dwarf Woodlands” and the home of Snow White--He had felt that familiar burn of Darkness which stained it. There had been a sense of essence which permeated off it’s earth, and everything from the cloudy skies above to the torn up dying grass below told Sora one thing, that this place had been infected with darkness on the verge of destruction. He had not been able to save Snow’s home the first time, but he wouldn’t let it or any other world fall to darkness again.
What was sad though, was that if it hadn’t been for Ventus--the Roxas look-a-like--Sora would never have known this world was in trouble. He had gotten word from Ventus over the comm chatter in the ship that it was in trouble. As Sora had never been to Dwarf Woodlands, he hadn’t even let it pop up on his radar, something he felt mild shame for. But that was inconsequential. So he hadn’t thought of it when it first became tainted? Now he, alongside Ventus and Cloud--whom he had managed to get on comm chatter--would immediately work on purifying the world!
But as Sora wandered into these dark stained woods where faces seemed to hide on every corner, he wondered briefly if it’d be enough. If this was the cause of Xehanort and a first strike of his, it’d take more than Sora himself to cleanse it. Would Cloud and Ventus be enough? Only two of them were keybearers, though Cloud had many a time proved himself a capable warrior of strength. Truly, Sora didn’t doubt his companions abilities, but he wondered if they alone would be enough for the coming tide? Even the battle of 1000 Heartless had been taxing on the boy.
But stepping through some light bushes and into a small clearing, Sora soon found his allies. There was Cloud and Ventus, prompting a wave to both. “Hey guys!” he called with his brilliant smile, forgoing the dark atmosphere to focus on the two bright spots before him, as well as gawk yet again at Ventus armor. To think that thing had protected him from the darkness by taking it upon himself. “You guys find anything?” |

Peck!
A simple groan escaped from the lips of the man.
Peck! Peck!
The darkness enveloped the sight of the man as his eye lids pried themselves open to the sight of a creature staring him dead in the orbs. A creature, similar to Osuri; a bird? How interesting, except it had a very long annoying bill that it was pecking his cheek with. Although he felt much worse, the little marks of red that the silly thing was indenting into the face of the soldier wasn’t a particularly pleasant feeling. Rolling his head to his left side, the bird flew off in panic thinking that the man was going to think of it as a hostile act. No, of course not. The man lacked memories, but the research he done on life during his free time was more than enough to figure out that little birds such as woodpeckers weren’t a threat. Cheek landing firmly in the mud that his scalp rested on, the man felt the tingly feeling of the strands of grass brush against his nose. Eyes squinting at the mental notice, the man coughed and found his body naturally picking himself off the ground.
Where was he? There was a mission of course, but there was no clear objective given to him by Ansem via Fear. The task at hand was to jump through a void and wait for further instructions. Question was; how long was Blackout going to wait in the dark forest that he was in? Moss grew oddly revolting among the tree trunks. One would think that birds and crickets would be chirping, but no; that wasn’t the case. It was as if the animals were hiding and the simple minded being had to check out the visitor before running off. No damn woodpecker in sight. All was well, though, because the vibe of the silent forest was pleasing to the man who had grown accustomed to darkness. Shiro was an introvert after all; socializing wasn’t the most relaxing missions he had encounter. Maybe the man was summoned there to help a cat down from a tree? At the simple thought, the man had a bittersweet mental complexion about that. As nice as it would be to have an easy objective, it would be insulting to have Blackout waste his time with such matters. Though, he’d totally do such out of habit.
The keen hearing of the soldier’s kicked in at the sound of a boy speaking. The tone was light hearted and young sounding, at least compared to the gruffer voice of Shiro’s. There were people in the middle of what seemed to be a nightmare for children, eh? Perhaps the three voices he heard in the distance were his allies. Hopefully, whoever he was, if he was, dealing with weren’t going to be a pain in the ass. A mission was a mission, though; had to be done. With that thought in mind, the soldier walked towards the noises, dog tags dangling in the small current of wind upon the man’s neck. What Blackout had encountered was simply different to him. After working alongside with the likes of Oogie Boogie, tolerating a thief, and being mentally confused with Creed, the last figures he expected were to come off as young and friendly. One boy with spikey hair, the cheerful one of the group, came into the group asking if they had found anything. Another boy was covered in armor, but he was slender and skinny, therefore hard to judge. Then there was another guy, a man, with blonde spikey hair who looked like he had come from a fashion military show. There was enough protection and operational material to withstand action flawlessly in that uniform? Huh, well, Blackoud had seen weirder.
Then there was a… dog? A white one with wings, which brought the thought of Osuri back into the intellect’s brain. A hypothesis that the analyst had conjured up was that it was a companion of the one in armor. Though, intellects could be wrong. Dismissing the thought of the attention seeking creature, Blackout walked out of the shadows and into the small visible clearing. Calm expression used as always, the man spoke in a sincere confused tone, not knowing if they were targets or allies, ”Any of you three happen to know where we are?” the words flew through his lips, pausing at the sight of the weapon that the armored one had in the corner of the blue orbs of his. Dismissing the thought to finish his other ones, he continued, ”I just woke up here. You all have a similar experience?”
Vision analyzing the intriguing matter that was next in line, the man kept himself from narrowing his eyes at the weapon. That was a keyblade. Fuck, was he in a circle of three armed targets? Though, the possibility of the armored man being a keyblader for the darkness; those people did exist according to the history books Ansem had given access to. The head of the pack apparently was one, Xehanort, right? Perhaps it was another case similar to such. However, in case the keyblader was one for the light; no doubt the group were his targets. Blackout was no liar as it was against his morals, and it was difficult to keep important matters suppressed from being poked at. Shiro could slyly try to see if they’d reveal their allegiance, but he didn’t want to look suspicious if that was the case. Names were always a decent topic, right? The three individuals were unknown to him, so most likely that was the case from their perspective, unless they were figures of his unknown past of course.
”I go by Blackout. I believe I was never given the pleasure to meet the likes of you three and then some,” referring to the creature with the latter, the man bowed his head slightly as he ripped his dog tags off and tossed it at the brunette for him to catch. Within the boy’s grasp was the only identity Shiro had to present himself as.

[attr="class","ff"] [attr="class","fff"] NE [attr="class","ffff"] NE[attr="class","fffff"]STAR BURNING BRIGHT IN THE SKY JUST FOR YOU, JUST FOR YOU Ventus made no movements as he waited for some kind of reply to his statement, he waited for what seemed like forever before he finally settled on the idea that his mind was playing tricks on him. A small sigh escaping from his lips as spun his Keyblade around in his hand and his body relaxed slightly, "Geez Ventus way to let your mind play tricks on you." a small chuckle escaped from his lips. He needed to remember that not everything he heard was a threat, if he didn't when his allies showed up he might just end up attacking them for no reason. How did Terra put? He was forcing his body to move, instead of allowing his body to move him. In this case it was more so his mind now wasn't it? Who could blame him though, this whole entire world just made you on edge. It was sad that a once beautiful place had been reduce to a such a darkened state, but if things went right it wouldn't be like this for much longer. That was of course assuming his allies got here soon, because despite how hard he was trying to fight it he still felt as though he was being watched.
His body once again found itself tensing slightly as the sound of twigs breaking filled his ears, and this time he was sure he hadn't made it up. His quickly jolted back to where he had been looking before, where he had heard the source of sounds the first time. This time instead of nothing showing itself a small white dog with wings began to limp itself forward. It was a rather stunning looking creature, and even as it limped forward with a paw held against its chest Ventus was in awe. Whines escaped from the creatures lips a clear sign that it was in pain, the scratches along its body also helped Ventus come to this conclusion. The strange dog limped itself forward once more before falling against the ground a few feet in front of him. Ventus felt a string inside of his heart as he looked at the wounded creature, should he help it?
Lord knows what happened to it. It was likely that it had been a survivor of the worlds fall into darkness, but there was also a chance that it was an enemy. Just because it looked innocent didn't mean that it was, he had thought Xehanort was a good guy until he learned otherwise. Though...you couldn't judge everyone like that now could you? You also couldn't allow yourself to be so easily fooled, something that Ventus had allowed to happen so easily in the past. His better nature got the best of him however and he took a step towards the dog, and he would have taken more if Cloud hadn't shown up.
Ventus turned his attention towards the SOLDIER whose eyes glowed brightly amongst the darkness of the forest. He was going to ask a question but he cut himself upon seeing the wounded dog laying in front of Ven. "Cloud, glad to see you made it. I take it Sora invited you? Must mean he's not too far behind." at least he wasn't alone anymore, this certainly helped make the area entirely less creepy. Ventus smiled, a smile that went unseen because of his armor. Oh well at least he knew he was smiling right? "Name's Ventus, and yeah I'm here to help get this world out from the darkness." his voice was cheerful despite the situation perhaps requiring him to be a bit more serious.
"This dog here, it showed up from within a deeper part of the forest. It appears to be injured but I don't know what to do, part of me wants to help...but something edging at the back of my mind thinks it might be a trap." at least someone else was here to talk to this about now. Hopefully between the two of them they could find a safe way to approach the situation. Although between the two of them quickly shifted into between the three of them, as Sora showed up on the scene.
Sora's cheerful voice broke through the area and once again Ventus found himself smiling from underneath his helmet, "I've found an injured animal, not too sure what to do though. I was, going to approach it and try help but like I told Cloud something just seems fishy." he probably shouldn't have mentioned to Sora should he? Knowing him he'd go rush right towards the dog to help him, it was just how Sora worked. Ventus would admit he had that within him sometimes to, but right now they couldn't really be thinking like that could they?
Everybody was here now though, and that meant they could finally get started on finding whoever had caused this mess. Ventus opened his mouth to say something but found himself cut off before anything could escape his mouth by yet another person joining them, and it was a person he didn't know. A person who was going by the name of Blackout, such an odd name wasn't it? Everything was happening so fast now, allies were showing up, strangers with weird names appearing from the shadows, with expectations for you share your name with them. He still couldn't help but feel as though he was being watched by someone close by but unseen, oh and he still hadn't deal with that damn dog! Was this what it felt like to be the leader of a group? So much weight on your shoulders to act? To lead. It was a little overwhelming for him.
Ventus took a deep breathe and then looked at Cloud and Sora, "I'm going to check on the dog, what's the worst that can happen? You guys should probably go see what's going on with this Blackout fellow." the order was given and Ventus finished his stride towards the dog. Once he was next to it he bent himself down Keyblade held behind his back tightly, "Hey, you okay buddy? Sorry it took me so long to get here, had some stuff to deal with." spoke Ventus softly.

陰 Dragon ☯ Shaman 陽 Can you see through the mist !?
He could smell them as they gathered. One by one like little field mice grazing. His head raised, eyes closed to enhance his sense of smell. Light Wielders. There was no mistaking that smell and that feeling of Light that pushed against his own Darkness. The temptation to rend them where they stood was high. He took pleasure in their struggle and forcing them to unknowingly do his bidding, but his eye did not miss the shape of that Keyblade, the familiarity of that scent. That was the bane of his forward march... He had seen this once before, he certainly recognized this as one in the same! The grave of the dead world was filled end to end in these weapons. In the nothingness of that world was housed the face of a war that could not be won by either side. These Keyblades had become their gravestones. The blades had become lifeless weapons that no longer held a spirit or attribute. But the armored man below -- his was alive though and clearly brimming with life. He found a similarity in his armor and the faint memory of the one worn by the man he had the pleasure of meeting. Whatever power this weapon had it would oft tempt the Heartless to stir, but because of the overwhelming force of will carried by the figures who opposed the light it was not to come to pass.
And that could certainly raise suspicion and make it easier to be spotted.
The Titanic beast, who held against the branches like a houzi-in-disguise, would climb along the darkness. Due to the tightly knitted canopies he was able to weave through even with his greater weight. By glance alone he knew what branches to step over and which could support his weight without fraying. These ancient trees were no delicate structures but there were a few saplings that could serve as the weak links among the bound walls of twisted, cracked bark. He would slink closer to where he could smell Demona lurking. The woman certainly fancied the Darkness and the pleasures that came with a world plunged into the chills of perpetual night and shade. Reaching his arm up he would grip onto a branch and pull his way higher so that he could arch his body and raise his strong legs against a few of the branches. He was like a praying mantis. He moved only with the wind to deter any attempt at confirmation of his presence. He was a predator and much enjoyed hunting the scurrying rodents that deemed it fit to invade his territory. Not only that but Light Wielders were the perfect prey, but they were perfectly predictable as humans. With his feet on the lower branches and his hand holding the upper branch he would push to straighten his spine, in turn parting the weaved limbs of wood like a window.
His amber eyes would search for Demona’s, before motioning his eyes down toward the ground. He would not use words because that would expose their positions. The beast clenched his free fist, the leather glove over his hand tightening over his motions. He slowly made his way down behind where Demona sat, to the other side of the trunk. He was now out of sight completely thanks to the trunk, but it would not be long before he pushed himself into position. Down below Cai, the small winged Shi looked up to Ventus when he approached, those ruby eyes glistening with unshed tears. Whatever the creature was it was a holy creature of light. When the boy drew near it would limp closer to the boy, chirping and looking up as it it wished to be picked up. Sitting back on its haunches the white wings would fold back, his tiny paw, that was ‘uninjured’ waved up at him in a begging motion. Cai despised begging the very act sickened him, but if it meant feeding on the Light Siders than a temporary embellishment on his kind nature was a necessity. Just because one was made of light, did not bind them to a human sense of morality. For creatures like Fai and Cai, it was more kind to punish humans with hellfire than allowing them to suffer in blissful ignorance. When Blackout approached the little ball of fuzz chirped out, wagging its tail, the silken plume like a cloud on land. It seemed genuinely happy that so many people were around and it was not alone.
But the chirps translated easily to Fai’s ears. The foul insults born from his tongue left a burning sensation against his ears. The bright eyes hid behind them a harsh judgement toward humans and their betraying ways. The white puppy-looking shi faced Ventus and moved to rub his head against the man’s pants, much in the way a feline greeted their family.
- Cai approached Ventus to love on him- Fai Alerted Demona silently- Fai shifted into a new positionFeather Charm: Summons Cai's Shadow, which resides in Fai's shadow. There was something awfully wrong with this forest and it wasn't the sheer amount of Darkness that was lingering behind every tree trunk, beneath every leaf either. Well obviously that wasn't helping the situation at all, but this forest felt a lot like how Beast's Castle did. Though your eyes could not see anything out of the ordinary, you constantly had that nagging feeling in the back of your mind that something, somewhere, was watching your every move. The hunter was hunting and the Keybarers and SOLDIER were lunch. Though it wasn't as primitive as that. The Delivery Boy couldn't quite put his finger on it, not being able to explain how he felt without coming off as sounding completely insane. No one had been through what he had regarding Sephiroth and his games. One way of explaining it might be that Cloud felt he were a plaything, a source of amusement for beings unseen, hidden in the depths of the forest. A leather gloved hand was clenched into a fist and relaxed open again, repeating several times. It was Strife's way of staying on guard. He had to have been called here for a reason and due to how Dark the forest was, his only trail of thought was that he were called here to fight.
A battle was brewing and chocobo-haired youth felt it throughout his body. He was no stranger to a battle and his body had never lied to him when his instincts alerted him to something. Even though it appeared that all that moved in this forest were the Keybarer in armour, the tiny winged creature and Strife himself. Something isn't right here... Thought the SOLDIER First Class as mako-glowing eyes examined the injured creature that seemed suspiciously interested in the boy in armour. While the creature visually appeared to friendly and in need of help, the question as to what this thing was doing here of all places, still lingered in Strife's mind. This world is devoid of almost all life... What is something that looks like it should be living atop Olympus, be doing wandering this forest? This place is completely ravaged... The young man thought as he brought his eyes up off the small dog-like creature and looked about the clearing he and the armoured stranger stood in. ... The creature has far too few wounds to have survived the fall of this world.
The Leader of AVALANCHE had his thoughts disturbed when the armoured one called him by his name. Cloud's expression was stoic as he stared at the helmet that covered the Keybarer's face. How did he know him? The stranger went on to mention Sora and that he must have invited the Delivery Boy. Strife's expression didn't change and nor did he answer. Ventus? Sorry, I don't know you. Glowing blue eyes returned to the injured animal for a second before he pulled his head up took a second to look about himself, slowly, casting his gaze towards every tree trunk, every shrub, every low hanging branch. As the armoured Keybarer explained the situation regarding the injured animal, Cloud slowly turned his glowing eyes back onto the youth's helmet and gave him an emotionless stare. ”Always trust your instincts, Ventus. Ask yourself this: How is this supposed innocent, injured creature able to survive the fall of the world to Darkness? If your heart is strong enough, you wake up in a world untouched by the Dark, no? Why is the animal still here when every other aside from the owls, have perished?”
It wasn't like Cloud to give out speeches like that. He was normally the 'one liner' or he didn't say anything at all. The situation regarding the small white 'dog' had too been bothering the Delivery Boy and thus he spoke his mind. No sooner did Ventus speak of the Key to Everything, did the boy himself show up, ever cheerful and optimistic. Sora was a light that cut through every shade or Darkness and seeing the young man show up did lift some weight off Cloud's shoulders. He felt like he could breath a little easier now, but the thought of being watched never left the SOLDIER's mind. There were enemies out there. Somewhere. A shake of the head was sent Sora's way regarding his question if they had found anything. Slowly Cloud took a few steps away from the others in the clearing and neared one of the edges, casting his eyes off into the Darkness beyond. ”I've not found anything aside from Ventus here. But that's not to say something out there, has not already found us... Stay alert. Keep your guards up.” Only moments after speaking those words did a stranger walk into the clearing. Short black hair upon his head and eyes that were an icy blue and stared as coldly as they looked. This stranger was not a stranger to battle, Cloud could tell this instantly from his eyes alone.
He called himself 'Blackout' and the nature of his arrival was most suspicious. Strife recalled the time the Darkness took over Gaia and he work up in the Traverse Town. If this stranger had recently lost his world, why had he 'woke up' in a place like this... Unless he too was of the Dark? Glowing mako-eyes narrowed at the sight of this new stranger and no words were given to him as he asked his questions. Hopefully Sora would be smart enough to use his head for once instead of telling this guy exactly what it was he sought. Still clenching his right hand to and from a fist, the leather of his glove creaking subtly as it tightened and released about his hand, Cloud wondered if his time spent training in the Coliseum with 'Artemis' had paid off. The battle was still to come, but was he the only one who could feel it?

His company didn’t distract her as he descended behind her. It was actually anticipated; her tail swayed with the rush. She could just feel the mice get trapped in her claws, toying with them. Looking back at him, her eyes flared the color of blood; generally it reacted with negativity, rage, and anger. This time there was a bubbling excitement. She was in stonesleep for many moons; although she had flexed her wings and muscles since her awakening, it’s been far too long since she danced on the battlefield throttling and slaying men.
It was time. Her mouth opened and moved; her voice was as low as a whisper. Turning her head slightly to face the fledgling, she mouthed, “Let’s make a wager beasty. Don’t hold back and try not to get too scratched up.”
She would probably punch and slam him for weakness; Demona was an odd one when it came to playfulness. There was always a fight involved. It suited her, since most of her life was a fight whether it was protecting her charges or surviving the diminishing of Gargoyles.
With a soft sigh, she emitted her darkness in a short wave, while counting off the heads, three. Great now there were four. A pair of yellow eyes opened next to her peering from the corridors. Her head tilted towards with a twisted smile. Despite being silent creatures, she was able to comprehend them since her awakening and forged will to govern them. A brow arched at the interesting details, strong hearts, and a pair of special ones. It seemed they were on the same page, chapter, and book.
Her chest bumped with a suppressed chuckle and nodded granting it permission and bestowing her command, “do it.”
How quaint to care for a creature. It was odd to believe that the pup was affiliated with the so-called Dragon, but it was amusing how a heart can just bend over the quality of ‘cutneness.’ Sure, she was found of gargoyle beasts and a wyvern heartless, but it never dealt her a stab in the back. He made it too easy, but his armor was a problem. Her eyes narrowed.
He would just have to get the kick out of it before her. She can snort in envy; child’s play had its fun.
The other would simply have to do.
She knew Titan was using this tree to stay discreet, but for her, it was time to take to the skies. Relying on her strong legs and arms, she jumped away from the tree for her wings can finally beat and take her up and above. With the clearing, they can look up at her, and she can look down on him.
Despite how small she looked compared to other gargoyles as well as being female, she was sculpted and still heavy. She was obviously not from this world: blue tough skin, wide durable wings, talons at the end of her feet, and extra bone structures jutted out at her joints. Her hair contrasted brightly with a flaring red; the whipped and licked in the wind like fire as golden bounds keep strands together.
Her clothing was too simplistic and rudimentary: a tattered one sleeved uneven top and a skirt that could honestly be called a lengthy loin cloth if it weren’t for the thick belt and dangling gold.
She stopped until she was high enough to emit a roar, her signal. It started now, but would they ever be truly ready?
Come to me…
Like a shade, they moved, and like death, they came in three, but lightly on small bat wings.
Three scalloped blades rose over head; the huntsmen would pluck the heart of an innocent maiden on the commands of the queen. Their signature glinted, Hardcore etched on their blades. Although Demona was disgusted by heartless, the overall poise of the Invisibles were astonishing; she could even see their muscles flexed as they slash swords down unto Sora, one of the boys with one of those special hearts they spoke of.

Sora Dodges 1st Invisible by Ducking and Rolling, but is hit my second and third. Summons Kingdom Key TAGS @nivvy, @ventus, @titan, @cloudstrife, @demona
| I'll Stop the World from Turning Into A Monster It was good at times to have Cloud near when battle was potentially on the horizon. He was as skilled a warrior as they came, on par perhaps with Leon in abilities and prowess for combat. Fighting alongside Cloud had been mesmerizing during the battle of 1000 Heartless, seeing his skills not as a foe but as a friend and ally. Now they might once battle together. And then there was Ventus. Others upon finding a new warrior coming from nowhere and telling their entire past might have second thoughts and often might run, but Sora? No, Sora trusted him. He had no reason not too trust them, so he was gonna trust him. After all, he had no reason not to think Ventus had a bone or two to pick with Xehanort, who was the cause of all this. Knowing that, seeing Ventus in his armor and Cloud standing ready gave Sora a severe boost of confidence. However, The small creature in front of Ventus was new and different. White, almost like a small dog, and with wings as well. Something maybe which survived the darkness falling? But how was that possible? Well, optimism for the world was always a good thing. Ventus seemed to think it was injured by the way it was acting, Which prompted Sora to tilt his head curiously towards the winged wolf. It was cute for sure, and the limp paw did speak towards injury, but why would it seem fishy? Was something off? Granted, it was the only source of light in this world beyond them, and they had all come from outside sources… so maybe something was off. But how could this cute thing be related?Ventus might have had a point though. Not long after Cloud commented himself, a man walked in. Black hair, black shirt. He seemed lost, and commented about just having woken up. Sora knew that feeling, and he bet Ventus did too. Never fun waking up somewhere strange and odd, especially one coated in darkness. But why would he wake up here? That was odd. Perhaps he had been too from this world before it’s descent, got knocked out, and some how left behind? It might have been possible for sure, but why not taken or transported? And had the world altered enough for the man to not recognize it? “Blackout” as he identified himself tossed his necklace over to Sora, who caught them and looked them over. Blackout and SEC-8385. Not too much of an informative means, but something, for sure. Sora had looked to the man and meant to toss back his necklace, but a sudden movement to his side caused a loss in concentration and for him to tuck and rolls, the dog tags falling into the dirt as one of the attacking Heartless missed him. However, he had not counted on the other two, who found Sora and brought their swords upon the boy’s leg and arm, causing him to curl and roll frther on the ground back, closer towards Cloud and Ventus. Sora managed to get to his hands and knees, using ne hand to clutch to his upper arm before shoving himself to stand upon one bent knee and one knee on the ground. He shot forth his arm and summoned the golden key which was his Kingdom Key, and looked quickly to judge the enemy. Three invisibles, but something else was there. Above the trees, barely visible through the broken limbs, was something large against the darkened sky. The source, maybe? A Boss heartless waiting?“Showtime guys.” |

There was not much preparation for what was to come. The man was greeted with silence by the group of men. That was the first moment where Shiro felt invisible when he tried to act the opposite, at least of the memories he recalled. Had he not spoken loud enough? That possibility was disregarded at the order of the armored one giving the other boys to check up on him. The armored figure had it in him to refer to the soldier, but not to greet him? Was the world he had visited happened to have civilians who lacked introductions as an obligation? By the looks of it, with the keyblade and armor, it seemed like the boy was more so rude than foreign to it. With the “order” given, the man waited for a response from the other two. The blonde one shot the soldier a glare accompanied with silence, and the brunette was occupied with another being before he could reply.
From out of nowhere, three dark beings struck the brunette with their might. The young one had voided the first strike, but was not so lucky with the other two. Instincts of the compassionate one kicking in, the man jumped straight into the fray and flung a knife at the dark being, hurdling over the armed creature and catching the handle midair after it went through its head, landing on his feet in between the brunette and an invisible. It was just then that the analyst recognized the physics, comparing the instance to the situation he had when he was tested by Ansem. Blackout had just struck the thing he had stood for. However, the man recalled Fear’s words, remembering that there had to be casualties amongst the war. For that matter, Blackout had to look at it in black and white. The heartless had assaulted a boy where the boy had no intention on harming them. Therefore, Blackout would defend the brunette until if there was an objective given to do the exact opposite. Fear had also told Shiro that there were heartless who strayed from Ansem’s allegiance. Noticing the barely visible dark figure from above, the aura of power not as strong or simply different from Ansem’s, that case could be likely as well. All the intellect knew was that he desired answers. Answers on what to do with the keyblader, answers how to act while doing such, answers on what to do with the world; answers.
Blackout whipped his head around to look behind him, seeing the brunette as a keyblader and prepared to fight. Comparing the situation to “showtime”, the man had took it as a call to battle amongst the group. No idea what their names were, but the compassionate soldier had no care for such as long as they were the victims. Reaching behind him, Blackout zipped open his backpack and withdrew Gravios. Taking a firm grip of the handle, the man gently dropped his knife with his other hand back into his pocket. Blade pointing at the three heartless, Shiro’s eyes narrowed at the temporary enemies.
