Lea had finally made the decision to enter into one of the many tournaments that were hosted in the Olympus Coliseum. It was a good thing for him to do anyway in order to push his own limits, something he would would definitely need for future use if he was to keep of with his friends in the Keyblade department. He had absolutely no idea who he would be fighting first, but he sincerely hoped that they would be a worthy challenge, whoever they were. It would be soon that Lea would be requested to enter the arena for his first round anyway.
When it was his turn to take the stage, he made his way to the center of the arena. His opponent wasn't around yet, but still he summoned his chakrams in a flurry of flames in preparation. Either way, his opponent was bound to come to face him eventually. With all things considered, it would be best if he didn't hold anything back, regardless of race or gender.

The idea of entering and competing within a Tournament was never a factor that had entered the General of Alexandria's mind before. She was always the one standing beside Cid Fabool, Queen Brahne and now, Queen Garnet as a simple observer and member of the audience to enjoy herself watching the others who had decided to enter, prove themselves in battle. Mind you, the closest thing to a 'tournament' that took place on Gaia, was the Festival of the Hunt that Cid Fabool held within his city of Lindblum. It was a grand, annual event, taking place for as long as she could remember. It was one of Lindblum's many proud moments in history along with creating the first steam engine and building of some of the most glorious and magnificent airships. Rumours said that one Zidane Tribal was the most recent victor within the Festival of the Hunt, according to Steiner, Vivi, Freya and Garnet, and since the Queen had spoke of it as being true, then perhaps it was not rumour at all. Still, to think that a slimy, no good thief like Zidane was able to champion the Festival of the Hunt... Mind you, it is an event about fighting mindless monsters, something perfect for the likes of Zidane. Even though a small chuckle escaped the pink lips of the Paladin, the chestnut-haired woman did shake her head from side to side shortly afterwards.
He did save the Kingdom... And is the Queen's sweetheart... I can't be so hard on him. Thought the young woman to herself cheerfully, as images of both the Queen and the thief appeared within her mind. She'd rather see them both again personally, with her own eye over having to rely on her thoughts and memory to keep her friends close to her, but, it was enough to know that she hadn't forgotten about them. Even if she were on an entirely new world, it was proof to her that her friends and indeed her own home still existed, if she could remember them. Thus was the reason for her accepting the invitation to a Tournament that was being held upon a world known as the Olympus Coliseum. Beatrix knew that she was the most skilled and feared warrior that roamed Gaia, everyone knowing her name and her skill with a blade. There was no one that she could not defeat in battle. If she were able to do the same thing here in this Tournament, reach the Final round and take glory for herself, her name will spread and then maybe, just maybe, Zidane or Garnet or even Steiner would hear of it and set out of their own journey to find her, as she was doing to try and find them.
That was the plan at least. First, she needed to make her way past the first round.
Armoured boots carried the tall, slender woman across the sand covered lobby of the Coliseum. This place was truly spectacular to behold. The pillars that rose high over the ground, the two grand golden statues that stood guard and emphasised what this place was all about, the burning braziers that aided in lighting the whole area up. Truly a place one would only find in a book, much like many of the other sights the General had come across on her travels. Oh how much Zidane and Steiner would like to be here to see this. Steiner certainly. He was always looking for ways to strengthen himself in battle and odds were he'd jump a the chance to enter something like this. There may even be a chance that he was already here! That very thought did cause the General of Alexandria's heart to speed up a fraction, a feeling of hope filling her chest. She reached the smaller wooden doors much quicker then she had expected now and opened them up quickly to head inside, only to have a tiny little, half goat, half human block her path. Her icy-blue eye widened at the sight of the creature, shocked to see such a thing, but there had been many a strange thing she had seen on her travels about Gaia. Zidane for example.
By time the satyr had looked up at her, the Paladin's surprise had vanished from her face and eye. ”Yer 'ere for the Games, right? Ya' don't look like much...” Which caused the small fellow to slowly look up and down at Beatrix's body, his dirty little eyes lingers on her legs and hips. Beatrix rolled her eye and placed her hands on her hips, clearing her throat which caused the little goat-man to look back up at her. ”Name?” It was that question which reminded the General that she was no longer on her own world and it had saddened her a little. ”General Beatrix of Alexandria.” She replied, her voice was soft and caring. ”General, y'say? Like, of an army?” ”That is correct. I command the all female army of Alexandria alongside Adelbert Steiner's Knight's of Pluto.” ”All female army? Now tha' I gotta see!” After picking up his small bundle of notes and scrolls and glanced them over, he nodded his head before peering back up at the chestnut-haired woman. ”Yeah okay okay, yer on the list. Yer match is scheduled to start soon, so go get ya'self ready.” With a nod of thanks followed by a shift bow, the paladin made her way through the doors opposite her and headed into the waiting area where many other warriors were waiting.
The cheers and roars of the crowd were growing louder and louder with each passing second and the noise was causing the General to get goosebumps down her arms. It was so exciting to think of being able to fight other people from different worlds entirely. There was no more challenge for her on Gaia, so this was going to be a perfect way for her to test her strength and abilities against complete strangers. When her name was called, the General made her way over to where she'd enter the arena. Cheers and chants from the now-massive sounding crowd beyond the gate were growing louder as they cheered on whom she could only have assumed was her opponent, as they entered the arena. Then her own gate opened. ”And the opponent, making their way to the arena, from the far away Kingdom of Alexandria, I give you the General and Paladin of Alexandria, Beatrix!!” There was an equally loud cheer for her as there had been for the young woman's opponent, whom she could now make out to be a tall, tiny man wearing a long black coat with brilliant fiery-red hair upon his head. Two circular blades were with his hands, blades sticking out as if they were made for throwing. As she made her way towards the arena, her gate closing behind her, Beatrix's eyes never once left those of her male opponent.
Stepping up onto the raises fighting area of the arena, the young woman took hold of the handle of her sword and pulled Save the Queen out from it's sheath, the blade singing majectically as it cut through the air. Taking grip of her blade in both hands, she allowed a small smirk to spread across her lips as she looked her opponent up and down now that she stood closer to him. That cloak he word made it very difficult to read his body language, but she could see from looking into his eyes that this man knew a thing or two about combat. This was certainly going to be exciting. ”A pleasure to meet you, good sir. Try your best.” And with that said and done, the young General suddenly dashed at her opponent, Save the Queen held at her left hand side that would be brought up over her head and swung down in a fast strike aimed for Axel's right shoulder before being pulled back up and swung out in another fast strike, this one horizontal and aimed across Axel's stomach.
Actions
1. Charged Axel and attacked in a two strike combo, vertically at his right shoulder then horizontally across his stomach.

Lea was finally able to fight his first opponent that was aptly named "Beatrix" who was a General of a place called Alexandria. It was also at this time that he decided to go into a combat stance in preparation for the fight. "I have no intention to disappoint you." Lea said respectfully to the General before she started her advance, and he prepared himself to block an attack from Beatrix's two-handed sword if he could. Lea came to the assumption that it would deal heavy damage even if he was nicked with it.
Lea used his chakrams to block Beatrix's first vertical strike aimed at his shoulder, but the sheer force of it forced him to be pushed backwards and the impact made him open for an attack. The horizontal strike aimed toward his stomach created a pointed strike that cut only his skin and caused him to bleed a little. In response to this attack, Lea pushed back by tossing each chakram after one another in two diagonal sweeping strikes across her figure that would resemble an "X" if they both landed. As a follow up, Lea used his Chakram Combo by throwing each of his chakrams at Beatrix with their edges on fire and then threw another set of flaming chakrams that would explode in flames upon impact.
Actions
1. Blocked Beatrix's vertical attack aimed at his shoulder, but gets pushed back by the impact and nicked by the horizontal attack aimed at his stomach.
2. Throws both chakrams at Beatrix diagonally in an "X" formation.
3. Uses Chakram Combo: After landing 2 or more direct strikes, Axel is able to follow up with throwing each chakram towards a target with their edges on fire; and complete the combo by throwing another set of chakrams at the same target at the same time, causing them to explode in flames upon contact.

There was an almighty roar from the gathered crowd as the fight begun, everyone leaping up onto their feet if they weren't already as they all jumped up and down excitedly, throwing our cheers and chants for both the red-haired man in the black coat and the chestnut-haired woman clad in light armour. The sound of the people being excited to see a round in a tournament begin only caused further goosebumps to shoot up Beatrix's arms and make herself feel ever more excited about competing in such an event. She wondered if the eyes of Adelbert Steiner were watching her now from either back in the lobby or from amongst the civilians watching? She sincerely hoped so, but it was not something in which she could allow herself to be distracted by. No, she was competing in the tournament and all her focus and attention had to be on the man standing in front of her wielding those strange weapons, fit for something that Amarant might toss about in a battle. The young woman hid her smirk well as she felt just the tip of Save the Queen scratch the stomach of the red-haired man. Her strength had revealed itself within her first blow as that had knocked the man standing before her back slightly, allowing the second swing of her blade to strike.
Good to know that all her training in Alexandria Castle, during the time of peace, had not gone to waste. She always needed to be in top physical condition less someone attacked the Kingdom. She would always be there to protect Alexandria from enemies alongside Steiner. Of course, it was rather difficult to carry out her duty having being whisked so very far away from her home. It saddened her deeply, but the event held within the world of Olympus Coliseum was a welcome distraction.
With her gauntlet covered hands still gripped onto the handle of Save the Queen, the General of Alexandria watched the young man before her start to retaliate. Good. He wasn't going to let a small scratch like that get in his way. A lot of men Beatrix had fought would drop their blades and surrender at this point, having taken a blow from the Paladin and survived it. With her keen left eye watching everything before her, the red-haired man tossed his chakrams in her direction, which arched in the air to come at her from different angles, almost like an 'X' shape within the air. With a flex of her knees and a rustle of the armoured boots upon her feet, Beatrix jumped backwards a short distance as she swung Save the Queen down into the first chakram, sending it smashing into the floor. Twisting her body around, her movements controlled and elegant, a second swing of her blade was sent clattering against the second charkam in a vertical slice, sending this one shooting up into the air. As she rounded herself to face the red-haired man once more, she only just caught sight of a second set of chakrams flying her way, this pair on fire. With her icy left eye narrowing at the sight of them, Beatrix flexed her knees once more and flipped herself into the air, completing a neat forward somersault over the second set of chakrams before gracefully landing upon her feet, armoured boots clattering against the solid floor.
Then came a third pair of chakrams, these ones also on fire. How many of these things does he have? The General asked herself in her thoughts as she once more took grip of Save the Queen and brought the blade down to meet the first of the final two chakrams, only to have this one erupt into flames in her face the second steel hit steel. Distracted and momentarily blinded from the flames, the last of Axel's six charkams landed a solid hit into her chest, this one also erupting into flames and throwing the young woman backwards. Her body was seen tumbling out of the back of the fire and landing upon her back with a thud, but as if bouncing off of rubber, the Paladin used her free hand to hit the floor, flipping herself back up onto her feet, continuing to move with as much grace and elegance as a dancer. Several pats of gauntlets upon fabric came from her position, as she extinguished a few parts of her attire that had caught fire from the explosions. With a huff escaping her lips, Beatrix flicked her hair over her shoulder and placed both hands back upon the handle of Save the Queen.
How am I going to deal with those long range attacks of his? The chestnut-haired woman thought to herself as she shuffled her feet across the solid ground a fraction, her armoured boots, slightly singed, scratching soft white marks onto the ground underfoot. Not wanting to have to deal with those chakrams flying at her again, the Paladin nodded to herself inwardly as she took hold of Save the Queen and brought the decorated blade up over her head in both hands. A brilliant white aura then washed over the young woman as she conjured up her energy to begin the casting of a spell. The white aura covering her only lasted a second or two, for as it vanished, Save the Queen was brought back down to the front of her, whose tip was then flicked in Axel's direction. Casting Blind upon the red-haired man would summon several flashes of bright light to flicker and flash before his eyes that was followed up with a thick, black fog encasing the young man's head, rending his ability to hit anything physically, next to utter useless. That was of course, if it hit him.

The cheers from the crowd became truly deafening when Lea's combo landed a direct hit, and the pain from Beatrix's first attack caught up with him after his adrenaline ceased. The amount of time it took for the General to get back to her feet gave Lea plenty of time to summon another pair of chakrams and decided that the best way to finish this fight was to deal heavy long range attacks or change the field to his advantage. However, he caught a glimpse of her own white aura and something told his gut that something was up; and before he could do anything, there was a bright light and then a brief darkness over his head. Apparently, Beatrix's Bind spell hadn't been strong enough to take hold of Lea and that just aggravated him more.
"Trying to blind me with a spell are you? Well, you'd be better off if it worked..." Lea said calmly as he focused his power and let his chakrams fly vertically in the air in the shape of a helix. "Let's see how you handle... THIS!!!" Lea said calmly before shouting right before both of his chakrams slammed deep into the ground, casting his ability Burning Field which caused the ground of the arena to become incinered and temporally changed into hot magma that would steadily damage anyone that wasn't resistant to fire or knew any ice abilities to cool it down. A normal person wouldn't entirely last too long before they started to develop serious burns, but Lea only intended to wear her down and didn't intend to kill her.
Actions
1. Lea casted Burning Field: Axel focuses his fire power to lift his chakrams in the air and they spin around each other like a double helix before crashing to the ground and turning it to hot magma, which will coninuously damage targets that lack a resistance to fire.

Some might see it as a cowardly tactic, something you'd use if you were scared or maybe afraid of what you were fighting against. Then there were others who'd see it as a clever and intelligent manoeuvre to get around a tricky situation that was being confronted. To Beatrix, it all about the tactics, whether they seemed cowardly or not. To her, if the enemy was blinded, then it was going to be a quick and fast fate for them. If they weren't, then they'd get the honour at least of seeing the General of Alexandria running them through with her blade. Truth be told, such a spell within her arsenal was only really reserved for opponents she wasn't too sure about. She'd blind them and take the opportunity to get a better feel for how they acted within battle. Either that or she'd just strike them down in their moment of confusion before moving onto the next of her victims. She'd lost count of how many people had fallen to Save the Queen, but the red-haired man was not going to be one of them today. Firstly because this was just a tournament, a competition to test one's strength and to see how you matched against others. Secondly, the blind spell had actually missed her target. The General did see it flicker about the young man's head and face, but he must have had a higher resistance to spells then first assumed.
It only caused a smirk to form on her pink lips at the sight of it anyway. It only meant that this battle was going to get more interesting for her. If spells weren't going to work, then doing it the 'good old fashioned way' was just as okay to her. The chestnut-haired woman only had to watch how her opponent moved and then take action accordingly whenever he stepped out of line or lowered his guard. Easier said then done though. From her limited observations of how he held his chakrams, how he placed his feet when moving and from the determined yet experienced look within his eyes and from how he in turn was cautiously watching her own movements and how she held Save the Queen, Beatrix knew that this young man was highly skilled. As the cowards cheered in delight, the red-haired man spoke up, the confidence in his tone very evident. His words only made the General slowly blink her left eye as she tilted her head a fraction, her smirk still upon her lips. ”That spell was actually to prevent you from witnessing your own embarrassing defeat.” Beatrix too, had a high degree of confidence in her soft and calm voice. And rightly so too, after all her achievements in the past back on Gaia.
Her icy left eye twinkled magnificently as she watched the red-haired man before her toss both his chakrams up into the air, which twirled about one another as they went skywards. He shouted something else after this, something about her handling something, and as his chakrams slammed back down into the ground, she had to admit she weren't quite expecting this to happen. The ground literally turned into molten lava. The General had to jump back a fair distance in alarm, only to discover that the red-head's spell, or perhaps ability, had effected near enough the whole of the arena floor. The chestnut-haired woman glanced down to her feet, taking note of the ever to subtle hissing that was coming from the soles of her armoured boots. This was bad. If she were to stand still for too long, the magma would eat through her boots and then badly burn her feet. That in itself would not stop her from fighting, but it certainly wouldn't be so easy after that. No, Beatrix took off in a sprint quickly, dashing around the circular arena that the pair stood within, surrounded by the cheering and ever excited crowd. So long as she kept moving, the magma would take longer to eat through her boots and damage her feet and lower legs.
Not wanting to give the man in the long black coat time for another attack, Beatrix suddenly turned sharply, turning her wide arching sprint into a directly charge towards the young man. With Save the Queen firmly within her gauntlet bound grip, the Paladin of Alexandria launched herself towards Axel, swinging the two-handed blade down upon him in a hard right to left downward diagonal slash, aimed for his left shoulder this time. The moment she begun to swing her sword, did an explosive bolt of thunder fall from the skies overhead, deafening the arena with it's almighty clap. The General's ]Thunder Slash was a fast and powerful sword technique. She wasn't done though. No, she had a wild thought in the back of her mind that were she to deal enough damage to the red-head, that his spell to turn to ground to magma would be dispelled. It wasn't going to hurt to try in any case. As such, whatever the result of her Thunder Slash, Beatrix jumped backwards and brought Save the Queen up before her, holding the weapon vertically. She closed her eye and allowed her power to channel, causing a brilliant white aura to surround herself, much greater then previously with her Blind spell. It only took a couple of seconds for the aura to vanish, which lead the General to flick her sword into Axel's direction. The moment she did, a tremendous blast of Holy energy would explode before him, covering a fair distance. Beatrix's Shock was the result of many of her past opponents defeats in combat. It was an almighty attack. Unfortunately, due to how long she had to stand still to conjure the energy required for Shock, she could now feel the intense burning of the red-head's fire upon her feet.

Immediately used Shock after Thunder Slash. Lea watched as her shoes sizzled from the heat of the magma, and took time to summon another pair of chakrams in a flurry of flames just like he has done many times before. However, he wouldn't be able to relax for long when he saw that she was on the move once again. This time, he dodged her first attack and blocked her second one forcing him a distance away from her and getting shocked by one lightning bolt. Lea's situation even got worse when she built up the energy for her attack. If it wasn't for being shocked, Lea could have just been grazed by the attack, but in this condition he was forced to face it head-on and all he could do was to stand there and take it.
When the light cleared, Lea was quite beat up but he was still standing and he realized that he would have to use the strongest attack that he had in his arsanal just to tip the ballance in his favor but not before he spat out a large amount of blood and the wound from earlier became more severe from Beatrix's attack. "You're really good Beatrix. You'd make a far better Guardian of Light than I do right now... So, you've left me with no choice but to put a lot more of my energy into this..." Lea mumbled as his chakrams picked up speed and caught on fire before he started to walk towards her and executed his Limit Break by a white aura erupting from his body with black rose thorn-like tendrils surrounding him briefly before he throws two pairs of chakrams at her with one chakram followed by another which would explode upon impact with anything. Lea then combines two chakrams together to activate his Final Break and throws one gigantic chakram straight at Beatrix which would explode upon contact with her or the arena, and dealing heavy damage if it hit her.
Actions
1. Lea dodged the first attack by Beatrix and blocked the second, but is knocked back into a stray lightning bolt and gets hit straight on with Beatrix's Shock
2. Lea advanced toward Beatrix and activated Limit Break - Explosion: Axel throws his chakrams at enemies while the chakrams are engulfed in fire, creating a small explosion of fire upon impact. While not being thrown, Axel's chakrams spin rapidly, gathering fire. However, they can be thrown at any time, and do not need to charge.
3. Pushed forwards with heavy attacks by activating Final Break - Explosion: Axel combines his two flaming chakrams into one enormous flaming chakram, easily many times larger than the two chakrams. The explosion after the attack is also much larger.

As the light faded and the dust settled from the General's infamous attack upon the red-head, the young woman could not hide her surprise to see that the chakram wielder was still standing up on his feet, conscious and still ready and willing to continue their match. Truly she was very impressed. This was the first person she had ever drawn her sword upon that had outright survived her Shock attack. Steiner, Zidane, Zidane's friends and every enemy that dared harm the late Queen Branhe, the current Queen Garnet or any one of the fine and respectable civilians of Alexandria fell to Beatrix's Shock attack. What was it about this red-haired man that made him different to everyone else? While the chestnut-haired woman was still struggling to get her head around the fact that more then one world existed outside of Gaia and Terra, the thought that there were men and women who possessed strength and ability the same as her own, if not greater, was both truly excited and also absolutely terrifying. What would happen if an enemy so strong was to attack Alexandria, that the Paladin would be left completely and utterly helpless to do anything. Such a horrid thought caused a shiver to tingle down the young woman's spine, but she ignored it and instead focused on the situation before her.
”You are not too bad yourself, sir. In fact, you are the first to take my Shock and not collapse from it. That, I commend you for.” To hear such words from the Paladin of Alexandria would be a tremendous honour to anyone from Gaia, but this red-haired man was certainly not from Gaia and thus her words probably didn't carry as much weight as they intended. Regardless, if her words weren't enough, then the shine within her icy-left eye told the story just as well. Then someone was spoken that caught her attention, enough so that it distracted her from the seering heat that was cooking her feet. With a wince, she felt her right knee buckle from the pain but she grit her teeth, refocused the pain into strength and flexed her left knee to join the right, where she then leapt up out of the magma more. A sharp impact of steel hitting stone rung about the arena as Beatrix stabbed Save the Queen into one of the stone pillars that were erected around the fighting area of the Coliseum. A firm grip on the handle, Beatrix dangled from her blade safely above the red-head's little floor spell for the time being. Without needing to worry of having her armoured boots melted onto the skin of her feet for now, she asked the question which was born from the red-head's earlier words.
”A 'Guardian of Light'? What is one of those?” Unfortunately it seemed that the time for talking was over as the red-head before her had started to walk forth, his chakrams spinning between his fingers. The General of Alexandria frowned at the sight, expecting them to be thrown her way at any given second. She could remain dangling here from Save the Queen, free from the magma covered floor but then be left well and truly open for those chakrams. Or, she could drop back down and endure the pain within her feet for a while longer if that meant she were able to dodge or block the chakrams and avoid potentially greater damage then what the floor dealt. Mind you, the red-head did say he was going to have to 'put a lot more energy into this', whatever 'this' was. Odds were he were planning some kind of super attack and that meant large damage over a wide area, if any of his previous attacks and abilities were anything to judge by. Beatrix herself was hardly out of energy by any means. She just never had to use the same attack more then once on a single opponent before. That was when she got an idea.
Well, if my attacks aren't doing to drop him, perhaps I can use his own against him... The young woman thought to herself and she noticed that the man before her had attacked, sending his chakrams flying her way. With the sound of steel being tugged free from stone, Beatrix freed Save the Queen from the ancient stone pillar and dropped down onto the magma covered floor where she took off in a fast sprint towards the red-head, his chakrams narrowly missing her as she dodged the pair, dashing between them. Biting her bottom lip, she felt the heat of the exploding flames upon the back of her arms and neck as well as the floor continuing to slowly cook her feet. If she weren't able to end this accursed floor-spell soon, she might have to request healing from another contender if her own magic was not enough to fix her up. Time to worry about that later. Her icy-blue eye noticed that the red-head had summoned a huge, single chakram and seemed intent on throwing it her way like he had all the others. The General did not let up her sprinting through and as soon as she were standing right in front of Axel's face, the Paladin thrust her blade up over her head, stabbing the massive chakram with her blade and forcing it to explode over the pair of them. Who knew if it would even work against the man in the black coat, but it was worth the shot.
-------------------------------------------------- Actions1. Jumped out of the magma floor by stabbing Save the Queen into a pillar and hanging from the handle. 2. Charged Axel directly to slip between his thrown chakrams. 3. Thurst Save the Queen into Axel's giant chakram in an attempt to make it explode prematurely. Cool DownsBlind - Ready to be used.
