Today was just another one of those days for Squall. As one of the big leaders of the Garden he is expected to check things out, talk to the students, and supervise everything. However, today was one of those days he was aloud a break for the whole day. Unless something bad happens. Though today he has plans to meet up with a very important girl who he hasn't seen for some time. Leon had been so busy with the Gardens and the Committee that he hadn't gotten the chance to see Rinoa.
She was that one girl who he had a weak spot for. This makes plenty of sense since she has been his girlfriend for some time now. Really, Leon didn't know where he would be without her right now. At the moment Squall was just walking around the Gardens lobby area. Since they have a food court near by and a skating ring they could go to those places. Unless Rinoa has something totally different in mind.
The SEED leader had the occasional hello from the trainees and other people who had a life in the Garden. Of course Rinoa wasn't late or anything. In fact, Squall made sure to get here fifteen minutes early because if he would be late Rinoa might kill him or something worse. Of course since this was going to be something like a date, he has been holding several white roses which he put in a vase already for Rinoa. Hopefully, she would like them.

Rinoa was a Galbadian native. Though she did not have the same enthusiasm for her country as other Galbadians did, she still called it home. Perhaps it had been the loss of respect that disallowed her to see the good behind its attachments to war and stubbornness on resolving the problematic state of affairs within D-Prison where guards abused their power. But, her distaste, could have, more simply, been attributed to her distancing to her father. Over time the young Galbadian had turned her back on her country. Where she was once jaded by the bright festivals and celebratory parades she was now wise enough to see the power hungry displays as the truth behind these event. The new president was an old war veteran, same as Deling. Rinoa was not sure if her country could be one free... free of its greed and want of worldly possessions.
Though she began speaking to General Caraway more frequently, it was a shaky relationship at best. The pair had to work hard to pick up the pieces. Fury, her father, was a dotting pain in the young sorceress' butt! Since she had returned from an impromptu search for Squall and the others along this chaos he had become doubly frantic about her getting a hold of her powers. After all it would look badly if the daughter of the army General of Galbadian could not handle her powers! And though she yelled at him and was angered by his reasoning... deep down she knew he was honestly worried about her. Maybe they were simply both stubborn when it came to telling themselves the truth, lying just to convince their own hearts! Though she had begun studying to control her magic in Balamb Garden, Fury felt her distractions with a certain dark haired Commander kept her from being her very best.
So he transferred her to the Galbadian Garden where more hands on and practical, field applications of war and para-machine use was promoted. Oh there was fighting to be had in the Caraway household and much anger. He had decided on his own, without her, again! But even still... She was stuck. He was, unfortunately right on her distractions And, doubly correct on Galbadia's more hands on program. They were, after all, training young soldiers to defeat people like her.
Rinoa couldn't take it though! She was trapped in Galbadia for no more than a week before she was calling Squall and by the next week her increased frequency of calling only led her to bouts of sleepless nights riding the trains to Balamb and back on the weekends. It left Rinoa a mess of exhaustion. But it was all worth it because a date was finally achieved! Squall was always on the slow side relationship wise, but it was worth it when he asked first this time! She hated having to be in uniform, but she had to keep to protocol. Even if she was, legally, beyond the age one could stay at the Garden; there came special exception when you were the General’s daughter. So long as she passed her weekly tests the sorceress was allowed to maintain her lessons in the Garden. The sorceress was Galbadia’s key to power, but she had to maintain authority. It was the life of a Galbadian.
After her lessons she quickly went to her single dorm to shower and dress. Unable to decide what to wear she confided in her partner, Angelo, who currently rest on the freshly dried basket of laundry. The sorceress hurried, she was going to be late. On-time Squall would probably make fun of her for being late. The scatterbrained time witch hurried out of her room with wet hair, Angelo two steps behind. She finally staggered her way down the steps and through the maze-confusing halls of the Galbadia Garden. She had to really have a talk with Cid about these designs! Ugh!
“Squall!” When Rinoa finally spotted him her racing heart certainly would not rest. She would weakly fling herself at him, the lion’s only warning was a loud bark from Angelo in greeting.

All Squall heard was a bark and he had a feeling what was coming next. Quickly, he spun around to face the direction of the bark only seeing a Rinoa flinging herself at him. The moment the girl made contact Leon had lost his footing and fell straight to the ground making a loud thud echo throughout the Lobby.
Alongside him losing his grip on the flowers landing in a reachable range of his hand. Yet, the vase did shatter into tiny pieces the moment it hit the floor Now the Lion had a ever so beautiful girl lying on top of him. Upon noticing their position Squalls cheeks soon began to blush.
The Lion was feeling so many emotions all at one time he didn't even know how to react. Something like this hasn't even happened to him ever before really. Squall was not only excited to see his girlfriend, but nervous and slightly embarrassed with all of the people around.
Of course Leon was going to play it all off like nothing was happening in the slightest. Reaching to the side he managed to grab a few of the roses from the now shattered vase. With a rather straight face he said, "Well I got these for you."
Squall was a little disappointed the vase got destroyed, but at least the flowers were alright. "I thought you would like white roses." Today was going to be a very interesting day for the Lion. So far, his girlfriend managed to attract the attention of just about everyone in the Lobby and it didn't help she was now ontop of him.

Rinoa was more than enthusiastic about a chance for a date with Squall. He never asked her out directly, always finding a way of mumbling this or that which would garner her attention enthusiastically. He knew her well, or perhaps she was just easy to excite? Being with him just made her happy. It was a bit easier to admit this as the days went by. Her anger toward his selfishness melted away with coming to understand every little detail that was uniquely Squall. Seeing his face twitch with the slightest smile when he was amused, or watching him scowl at his friend's successful attempts at teasing him made her heart swell. Knowing someone in such ask manner took time though. She had been with Squall for a while now, so these little details came with her dating him. Even if he turned out to not having been her Knight, she could no longer see her heart opening to another. She held a special place in her heart and spirit. Granted, even with her heart set on spending the rest of her days with Squall: there were never thoughts of marriage or the possible chances of losing him to another. They were bound beyond time. Truth be told the young witch was terrified of the idea of marrying. After what she had seen it done to change the people around her when their beloveds died or were jeopardized, she could not bare the idea of suffering such pain.
She knew she was not so weak.
She had lived through the death of her mother, driving passed her sorrow with action. Many friends were lost among members of Timber's Resistance factions which left the witch with a dry eye. Perhaps it was her tendency to bottle up her sadder emotions and swap them out for good ones would one day ruin her... but for now it was her method of instilling peace of mind within herself. Even when the news had come of Seifer's death she could only frown and pity him. She did not expect tears from hardened mercenaries, but were they perhaps expecting her to shed tears as well? They expected far too much than. Though she felt inclined to shed tears for others, she had not done so since her mother's death.
The young witch sat back and rubbed her bum. That was quite a landing. She seems to have made Squall a bit of trouble. Beside them Angelo bounced up and down, wagging her stubby tail. Rinoa smiled bright and took the offered rose before standing on her own two feet. Her weak chuckle brushed away the troubling accident of shattered vase now littering the ground around them. She sniffed the rose before giggling. He was really, very sweet. Squall had a gentle, warm nature that was difficult to see upon the surface, but his friends were able to see it clearly and so could she.
"Thanks Squall!" Informal toward the Commander in public, just to tug at his patience and her limits. "Where are going today?" She batted her dark eyes.
Rinoa only wanted one thing: to get out of the Garden and be at his side ❤ tags: Squall~! ❤ powers used: n/a ❤ notes: I've no tears left, how about you? ELECTRIC OF GS AND BTN

Still on the ground Squall watched Rinoa accept the Rose and sniffed the Rose. When Rinoa had thanked him it was rather informal, but he decided to say nothing. Leon wanted to just keep her happy today, so scolding her over a thanks wouldn't be the best idea to do. Slowly, the Lion made his way to his feet and dusted himself off of any glass that had been on him. Before ,he could respond to his ever so lovely girlfriend one of the students came up to Squall asking if he wanted the mess cleaned up.
Leon gave a slight nod and the student ran off to go and get the cleaning supplies. In the meantime, Squall quickly moved in a squat position and picked up the remaining five roses. As Squall returned to a standing position he offered Rinoa the rest of the roses. It was obvious that a few of them were slightly damaged, but he figured Rinoa would still like them nonetheless. While he had a few seconds to think, Squall decided what he wanted to do with Rinoa today.
"We could get some food and go by the cliff side that overlooks the ocean." Squall thought that sounded pretty good. What could be a better day to spend with his girlfriend being by the ocean. "Unless you wanted to do something else." Leon knew that it is a fifty percent chance that Rinoa might suggest something outrages, but anything to please her right? Really it didn't matter what they would do just as long as he could spend some time with her.

Rinoa thought it was wonderful being able to spend time with Squall like this. It had not been very long since after their lives took a path of relative normality after the course of events which led them to facing a sorceress of time. Such a troublesome battle certainly would force the native Galbadian to rethink her choices in avoiding that hardened militaristic mindset that pervaded the state for decades. Perhaps that drive was what allowed them to survive in the past with enemies like the Great Esthar and avoid a fate much like the Centra continent where nothing was left but the ruins of a civilization and ghosts. Twisted monster not native to any other continent could be found stalking the wilds of the barren continent, sometimes exceedingly worse creatures than Galbadia and Esthar combined. Time had been short, but it had come to pass.
A deal had been put into place for the young sorceress which kept her tamed in a way little else knew how to do then a girl's father in desperation. Fury knew his daughter much more than she cared to admit, so he could use these small openings in her defense to anchor himself in the ever shifting tides of parent and child. If Rinoa completed her education at Galbadia Garden and passed her SeeD exam, he would find her way to work in Esthar with the President. She wanted to learn more about her sorceress blood and the best way to do that was in Esthar. The safest way a known sorceress could near the xenophobic country was by the President's good will. She wanted to go, she wanted to better control her magic. Seeing how weak Edea was to Ultimecia's influence and she to Adel; the young witch sought to become a great magic user so ever did a spirit of the past, or future, came to haunt her: she would be able to fight back.
Her time spent with Squall was precious. She would be gone for even longer spans of time without him. She wanted to covet him, for she could not squirm from this feeling that she would be without him for a long time, as if she was going in a journey. She often woke from a choking darkness gripping at her chest, only to find she was struggling in her Guardians protective arms. Those nightmares have plagued her for days, unlike her usual frets and worries from their trip through time. These nightmares were abnormal, immediate. Something about them was more linked to darkness than time. Being from a city of lights: where the night never seemed to end, she was rightly unafraid of the dark, so the sensation of fear she took from her dreams did not seem right., but neither did they seem wrong.
When Squall handed her the remaining roses, some with their stems broken due to her carelessness, she would frown. He probably took so much effort to find these for her. Sitting a moment longer she would twist the stems into and between one another: creating a crown of roses which she placed onto her head as she stood. A brilliant smile painted her features as she folded her arms behind her back. Angelo looked up, her tail wagging at her Mistress' joy. It had been quite some time since the young mage had peace of heart.
"That sounds great!" Anything did at this point. She felt a strange desperation to stay by his side today. "I can show you a super neat place after we eat!" She rushed over toward him to snake her arms around his right one and pull it into a hug. "I'm ready!" She smiled brightly.

Squall couldn't help but watch, every action that Rinoa made. You could say she almost had total control over the Lion. Leon really did love Rinoa and would do anything for her even though she did some odd things. If this was the first time meeting her he would be very confused to why she made a crown out of the roses he got her. Squall was happy with how Rinoa liked his idea about food and then the cliff overlooking the ocean.
However, it appeared they were going to do something else right after. Rinoa always had some sort of surprise planned out. Before he, could really say much Rinoa had sneakily pulled him in close for a hug. Once again Leons cheeks began to blush just at the thought of having Rinoa this close to him, but he was used to it. After several seconds passed, he gained his composure back he looked his girlfriend in the eyes.
"A super neat place huh? Alright," Squall said with some enthusiasm. Just like that the Lion slunk out of Rinoas grasp with ease. Pretty much he was working his way out. Upon breaking free, he grasped her hand and began to walk towards the food courts. Sure the food courts wasn't exactly date worthy, but it was the best place they have currently. Besides he knew Rinoa would only complain if he wasn't there too.

Rinoa was not your average girl. She was not the sort that grew excited over the idea of a date or the prospect of marrying her lover! Though she certainly seemed excited when it came to Squall’s attention it was because she genuinely loved being around him. Sure he could irritate her sometimes with his mumbling and fumbling, but she had to accept that this side of Squall was Squall as well as the side ready to charge into battle with decisive measure. She loved him and had come to accept him as an important part of her life. Maybe she was attached… for a long time she had fought to keep herself from becoming too involved with others. She did not want to fall in love because she has seen what it does to a person. Love changed them, and were you inevitably going to lose them only to become a lonely and bitter person fighting to stuff the pain into a tiny jar to ignore. But it seemed once you were in love none of that mattered. What took precedence when one was in love, was that other person. Damn the consequences! It hurt so much more staying a moment from his side. Maybe it was the pull she had as a sorceress to her Knight, but maybe a Knight was someone that made the sorceress feel safe. There was not much in the books explaining about Knights to their Sorceresses. Even Doctor Odine was lacking in facts, though he was always overabundant with strange theories. Maybe there had to be a level of love and trust to begin with. At least this was something Rinoa felt to be.
She was excited to go with him to eat by the cliffs. The spot by the train was best because you could always see people coming and going. Meetings and partings. It was always was interesting, intriguing. She found it just really weird! She was never that sort of person. Perhaps she would have been, had things gone a bit better, but such an early loss set in a deep seeded worry about partings. Goodbye was too heavy, and farewell was too permanent. Rinoa never said goodbye. ‘See you later!’ ‘Be back!’ Were always trademarks of her partings. She would rather give that person a reason to return than sealing their parting with a goodbye. She wasn’t the sort. But she really loved hellos! Greetings and returning from a long trip always had her shouting ‘Tadaima!’ like an idiot, but she was not ashamed of it! A greeting was, to Rinoa, a bit show of love and relief. Enthusiastically announcing your return also showed you were glad to be back. And as one should be! You never know what could befall you in the time you were away, so returning home was always a precious even to be coveted. Maybe, even though they had become distant, that was why her father still had a strange way of welcoming her home. He acted as if she never left… it was kind of nice, even if super irritating too!
The Galbadian Bluffs were always beautiful. Though the lands were totally barren, the way the sea washed cliffs were always beautiful at any given time of the day. The open fields were drawn by enticing cliffs which the trains cut through with barbaric ease. Though many felt the open countryside was “quaint”, the lands were not always this bare, at least from what she remembers from the history books. Perhaps that was why Timber had suffered so. That beautiful forest now a patch or two of surviving foliage spared from the Galbadian greed thanks to the wars. The train tracks and buildings are a testament to what was once the great eastern forest of the Timber Nation. Maybe it could all change and bring forth a new world. With that dictator Vinzer gone, maybe Galbadia could become a Nation like Esthar is now? But that too took time and took a great deal of suffering. Had the Great Salt Lake of the barren Esthar Plains once been a thriving land of fertility? Maybe greatness came at a price… But what could they pay to change it all back? Maybe the Monsters that came from the Moon was that balance for humanity. The only enemy of humans were the monsters themselves; they were the only creatures capable of equally indescribable cruelty after all.
She allowed Squall to lead her where he liked. “Thanks… for coming. I missed you.” She said softly as she hurried up to his side, a giggle escaping her throat at his reaction to her clinginess.
She did not mind though. This was her Squall! Angelo barked and padded behind them in a hurry, her short legs carrying her by speedy pace. She had a great place in mind. It was her secret place, some place she wanted to show Squall for a while.

The Lion could easily tell that his girl was very happy about today. Not to mention how she stated that she was glad that he was here with her for today. "I've missed you too." Squall wanted to say so much more, but he believed it to be to embarrassing to say something like that to her, which was kind of weird. Soon Leon had led himself and Rinoa to the cafeteria which was only a minute walk from where they where.
Upon entering the area one would notice a fancier and somewhat high tech design. Squall had the cafeteria upgraded due to how ugly it had looked originally. Not to mention the food they had here was horrible to begin with, so he had everything upgraded since the Garden was doing good and getting plenty of money income from missions and other types of jobs. Thankfully, there wasn't much of a line.
However, the Lion couldn't decide on what he wanted. Well he was going to have plenty of time to think about it since Rinoa will order first. This will be Squalls attempt at being a gentleman. He figured since he isn't probably always that nice to Rinoa he could make up for it in small ways. As they finally neared the front of the line he said, "You can go first Rinoa," He said with a small smile.

Galbadia was not as advanced as Esthar as a country, but it was the most advanced Garden in the world. It was hard to say if that was good or bad. Much of the advancements in Galbadia were used as tools of war. The Garden itself was heavily militaristic and lacked the endearing events such as the Music Festival in Trabia or the Garden Parties in Balamb. If one found a Triathlon loosely based on Galbadian Military Boot Camp fun, Rinoa would feel they would need to have them committed to an institution. The events were harsh and it pained her to simply watch them! She would sometimes watch from the bleachers as the students trained hard to become Mercenaries. This was their life. Orphans whose families were taken by war, or disease. Children abandoned by their loved ones. But not all of them were here with horror stories. Some parents sent them to the Gardens because they wanted a better life for them. Not all the military structure in Galbadia was bad. It build strong, tight knit families and strengthened the communities. Galbaida believed no one was greater than Galbadia. It was arrogant, but nationalism was important to keep men and women fighting for their country in every way possible. But it made her wonder, after all this: what did she fight for?
As they made their way into the cafeteria all the little sights and sounds easily grabbed the sorceress' attention. Padding beside her was Angelo her faithful companion. The tri colored mutt never protested wherever her Mistress cared to go. The dog was quiet and only whined or barked if Rinoa was in danger or distressed. When they entered the cafeteria the barrage of scents that filled the mutt's nose was enough to atirr her stubby tail in excited circles. Looking up to Rinoa the smaller dog could feel the sorceress distancing herself from the situation at hand. She had become uneasy, as if afraid of something. This caused Angelo to raise her head and trot off toward the large windows that allowed light to flood into the room. During the cold desert nights, above the students' heads, lights would hum to life and both warm and light the room. Angelo perkes her folded ears and d the forms forward in question. Was there something outside? Had this stresses her Mistress?
Crossing her arms in front of her, Rinoa tilted her head at the selection of food before her. Though she had been hungry her excitement did well to taper off the pained pangs her belly had been offering up. Shifting and placing her hand on her belly she felt her features twist down into a frown. She felt that worry in her chest grow and dip down into her belly, filling that unoccupied space. She was happy Squall was here, but she got the distinct feeling like she was missing out being trapped in this school, unable to progress. Even though she managed to get in at her age, it was unfair. She was not a special case to be treated differently. She was her own person. She wanted to simply understand these powers flowing through her body.
"....Squall...?" Maybe she could ask him if he had the same feeling.
No, she couldn't. Shaking her head she smiled and waves her hand dismissively before turning back.
"Never mind, I was hoping we could get two straws to share a drink!" Though she was all smiles her wants were a blatant lie.
Something else was bothering her. Her heart was unsteady.
Why did she feel like Squall was leaving her behind? ❤ tags: Squall~! ❤ powers used: n/a ❤ notes: I can't help but be afraid of the future I cannot see. ELECTRIC OF GS AND BTN

When Rinoa called his name he looked at the beautiful woman before him with a small smile. Soon he was taken aback by her question of getting two straws to share a drink. Well this was most certainly something knew, but its not like he hasn't done something similar to this before with her. Last time they had shared a steak together. That was quite the interesting day for the Lion indeed. "Sure," he said softly.
After Rinoa would make her order, Squall decided on getting a dipped beef sandwich with a large drink to share with Rinoa. Several minutes after paying for the both of them their food was ready. So he picked, out a booth in a corner where he could be alone with his beloved girlfriend. Once their meals were on the table, he set everything up for Rinoa to try to be gentlemen like. He really wanted to keep her happy today.
Rinoa was just one of those girls he really didn't want to lose. So he knew that whenever he gets the chance he needs to show her that he cares. Sure he does it in small ways, but at least its better than nothing. "Riona tell me everything. How have things been going?" Leon figured that since he barely gets to see her it was a good question to start things off with. Of course they have the whole day to talk.

Rinoa felt a sharp stabbing in her chest. Squall did not pursue her worries. Sometimes she was annoyed with accepted situations with such ease and did not fight her on them, but there were times she could appreciate his acceptance and gentle nature. Those that said war turned you into a monster did not know men like her father and Squall. Though she was on shaky terms with her father, it was wholly personal. Being his little princess, and known as little else, was difficult to hold a man with a hardened view. Many mistook his gentle, romantic nature for someone who was weak.
Fury Caraway was anything but weak. He was a strong and confident man who knew when it was the right time to use force and when to use words. Diplomacy came with the poet's nature, a man who was charismatic. Squall was very similar in that he was soft spoken. Though he was less inclined to being verbally forceful, Squall often showed a physical and emotional tenacity that, to this day, surprised the young sorceress. They always found a way to make her feel weak and helpless with their actions alone. Sometimes it was the only reason Rinoa fought on. She did not want to let them down, after they fought so hard. Sure she fought for those unable to fight for themselves, abused by her government and used.
When their food arrived Squall paid before she could protest. She always found it a little old styled, but it was something cute too that Squall did which embarrassed her to no end. When he passed she shook her head, pushing the spreading blush back. Sharp patted her cheeks with a hard double smack and hurried after her boyfriend. No matter how many times she said that internally it just seemed so weird! When she first had to deal with Squall at length she felt put off by his nonchalant demeanor, but perhaps that came with growing up with a man that wore his heart on his sleeve and spat fire from his tongue when he spoke. None but the young sorceress had the great courtesy of seeing her father in his true light. She hurried to the both, dropping behind those betraying thoughts behind her.
Arriving at the booth she looked between the seat across from Squall and the seat he chose. She crossed her left arm over her chest, making a shelf for her right elbow to perch upon. She tapped her cheek with her finer, mind dancing around the possibilities. She spun on her heel, arms held out before she flopped down on Squall's lap. She turned her torso so she faced him. She let out a sigh and moved to wrap her arms around his neck. Were he to struggle he would find her protests to strengthen. She just needed to hold him. She wanted to confirm those nightmares her Guardian bestowed upon her.
"Hey Squall... Can you stay the night?" She was lonely, but most of all she did not want to wake up from her nightmares to even believe, for one moment, that they were real. "I'm pretty curious what you'd wear to bed~!" She giggled and spin around to face the table, failing to remove herself from his lap.
When she behaved in such a manner it was not to stir the hormonal loins of her lion, but instead a comfort of holding someone close. This was a comfort she sought. She only wanted him to comfort her on this way. She leaned forward so her elbows were on the table, before finally sliding herself off his lap and planting her tush on the booth seat, but she would keep her leg hanging over his, taking a long sip of their drink. It would also be nice to be able to just stay with him and hold him. That was another thing that made her want to leave the Garden, though only a minor insult compared to feeling absolutely useless as a sorceress. Being unable to just be with Squall. Not only did his position keep him busy, but so long as he lived within the Garden he too had to abide by their rules. And seeing as she was currently a student, however temporary, such relations were considered illicit and against the moral code of conduct. Just to be able to hold onto him whenever she wanted was something she craved, perhaps even more so due to him being her knight.
Her face rested in the nest of her palms, elbows settled on the tabletop. "It would be bestest..." She murmured at her own thoughts. "Ne, Squall?" She called out. "I mean Balamb should be fine without its Commander for a night~♪" Though personally knowing some of the residents she knew this statement the be inherently false (Selphie and Zell tag teaming often whorled up disastrous trouble, a calamity if the young rebel princess was involved).
While the pair got cozy, a dark cloud began to crawl over Galbadia. It was not uncommon in the Plains for thunderstorms to be a random and rampant meteorological event. ❤tags: Squall~! ❤ powers used: n/a ❤ notes: The heartache of being left alone is more terrifying, than this feeling of being all alone. With their food paid for and on its way to their very own table, Rinoa had yet again sat on his lap and wrapped her arms around his neck. Just like last time Leon couldn't help but to blush a bit having her on his lap. This was going to be on another one of those romantic situations. The Lion enjoyed his time with Rinoa so he really wasn't going to complain about their relationship growing as they spent more time together.
However, it just seemed like yesterday he was saving the world with Zell, Selphie, Ivrine, and Rinoa. Not to mention his side adventure with helping out Sora and the gang. His life was rather busy so just being able to see his girlfriend was an exciting thing for hi. Then Rinoa just had to ask one of those questions which really made Leon blush. She wanted to know if he could stay the night, which led to her saying how she wondered what he wore.
Seconds later she slid back so her butt was ont he seat, but her legs still on his lap. Squall didn't know how to answer something like this. It is a rather difficult situation to be in. Of course he was going to try and please her. "Sure," he said softly. Choosing to completely ignore her comment about what he wears to bed.
"I could probably take a few nights off to spend with you too," He stated. Squall figured that should make her a bit more happy as well. By the way things, look he needs to split and make his way over to the Radiant Gardens soon anyway. So if he takes a couple of nights off it shouldn't matter too much. Especially with the others working so hard to keep the place up and running. Everything seemed to be going good so far.
Moments later their food was presented before the pair....

| ❤ I don't want the future. I want the present to stand still. I just want to stay here with you ❤ |
Rinoa had ignored his question earlier, about how things were going with her. If she was utterly truthful the answer would be: terrible. Her lessons may have been going fine and her relationship with her father was growing stronger everyday, but being away from Squall for any length of time was taxing on her spirit. Her body oft became sluggish and her patience short. At first she had chalked the emotions up to her hormones. She was still a healthy young woman and she sometimes craved the attentions of the gender of her preference. Though her preference was quite specific. She craved Squall. Seeing his face, hearing his voice or even catching whiff of his scent was triggering and made her heart race. The infatuation quickly became borderline creepy. Rinoa noticed herself hitting all of the dangerous relationship flags and had to put a stop to it! From calling him sat all your of the night to hiding articles of his clothing whenever he visited. A shirt here, a glove there! She did not realize that going cold turkey would further sink her distracted mind into depression. Dealing with her powers would do her no good if she couldn't even handle Squall going out for milk!
Now that he was here she would forget (or otherwise stop caring) about her problems with her peculiar cravings. Her body was instantly at peace with him around. She felt bad, a bad need for him, and not in a weird or hormonal manner. Her spirit craved him. Just feeling him close put her at ease. Hearing him speak relaxed get tense muscles. Smelling his musk lulled her into security. This is what it meant to have a Knight. It made her worry sometimes, afraid.
Though Edea was possessed, she had sent her Knight to war. Was it merely the empty desire of Ultimecia who had lost everything herself? Was Seifer merely a replacement for someone she could not have? What if she had taken Squall? All these questions ate away at her in the dark and lonely nights of the desert Garden. When their food arrived the sorceress began to eat at her leisure. Squall's agreement in staying caused her heart to flutter.
She turned her head to face him, mid bite. Her eyes were wide in a comical, owlish expression. Not only was she not expecting any sort of positive response to her selfish request, he even offered am increase in the days! She was indescribably happy. Chewing up what she had in her mouth she fully turned in her seat to stare up at Squall. Leaning closer she sought to make contact with her Knight. Her arms moved up to wrap around him once more to prevent the escape of her shy boyfriend.
"I'm so scared," She finally admitted in a low whisper. "I don't sleep, I hardly eat. All I see is a darkness creeping closer and closer. I'm afraid that I won't remain me." To her the dreams indicated the chance of a repossession.
She pulled herself close and kissed Squall. "I want to go home with you. Take me home." It was a sorceress crying out to her knight for help. It was a girlfriend who needed the comfort of her boyfriend. ❤ tags: Squall~! ❤ powers used: n/a ❤ notes: I don't want to be here all alone anymore. ELECTRIC OF GS AND BTN

While taking mites of his food here and there Leon managed to take notice of the little details about Rinoa. She appeared as her normal self, but something seemed slightly different. Squall couldn't quite explain it,but if she didn't want to talk about what was on her mind she didn't have to. Besides its not like he tends to tell her everything either. The Lion liked to keep to himself, but for some reason he always needed to try and see all of his friends. After, all of his current situations he knew that friendship is a very important thing.
Which is why he wants to be around to help them out when they needed it even though he kind of pushes them aside sometimes. His train of thought soon came to a fast halt as Rinoa had wrapped around him once more allowing him no way to escape. Leon couldn't admit it but he still felt awkward for some reason and it showed as his cheeks began to redden. Squall actually had gulped as her face had gotten closer to his and then she had mentioned that she was afraid she won't remain the same before giving him a kiss causing his blush to deepen.
Squall honestly had not been in a situation like this before. So it was rather hard for him to respond to such a situation. With only taking a minute to think Leon knew what he had to do. This only means he needs to protect her and keep her feeling safe which only he could do. "Everything will be alright Rinoa. I will protect you until I die," he said softly, but loud enough for his girlfriend to hear his words. Even if Rinoa wanted to go straight home he honestly wouldn't mind it since he can tell somewhat of what she is going through.
