Scarlet was trying to learn a bit about the other worlds. She had heard rumors about the possibility of life on other planets, but this was far more than she expected. This planet was home to some strange anomalies. The creatures were walking about and talking. These being looked a lot like animals from her world. So, here the beasts could speak and communicate like humans. Scarlet purposefully walked further about a horse on two legs asking if she wanted to play a game.
Was the woman in some sort of story book? This was ridiculous.
"...Maybe I hit my head harder than I thought." She spoke to herself as she continued to walk about the colorful town. Her heels clicked on the cobblestone. This had to be some sort of sick dream. Maybe Hojo's insanity had finally become contagious and infected her. Honestly, this was far too much and she would probably needed to see a doctor for medication if she didn't start seeing rationally soon.
After a while, Scarlet took a seat on a bench out of the way. It had taken a little time, but this seemed to be right out of a story book. Maybe she could find someone normal in the area.

LIGHTNING (n.) a sudden stroke of fortune
It had all been rather unique to her.
When she had first arrived she was wholly expecting that the foul side of the chaos, which beat in all humans, had taken this place, but when her senses awoke from their sleep she was able to see that was not the case. She did not know why she was here, but she searched in any case. So many new faces and many of which were brimming with happiness. She could hardly believe such a place existed since the darkness had stilled time. She had met a few of the locals and walked around the main street of the town. It was so bright here. She felt as if she was in a story, but every lived life was a story all its own now was it not?
The woman herself stood out. With shining armor and a skirt of pure, white feathers she did not exactly fit among the natives or visitors. Her curling, pink hair would rest on her shoulders where it would occasionally tickle the skin of her bare arm. She turned her clear eyes to the sky and raised her arm, which rested a small round shield, to help break the light's brightness. It was a clear day. It was full of life here.
It was a place she wanted to protect and keep from that darkness. She wanted this world's time to keep flowing, but to do that she had to understand the why. Why was she sent here? Someone had to have needed her help. Someone must have sought her. Was it her sister? Her friends? Someone she had yet to meet, but would in the future? The warrior came to a stop by a great, blue roof, pavilion. Many seemed gathered here, but the tall woman still stood out. She wondered what she would find in this peaceful world.

Scarlet listened as she heard chatter from about the town. The view she saw from the bench was enough to get what was going on. These worlds were far more different than her own. This seemed more than childish in her own eyes. However, they people seemed to act like any other. Then again, their voices were different than anything she had ever heard. Maybe is was something in their water supply. The idea of animals speaking like human really did peek her curiosity. This would definitely interest Hojo far more than it did her.
The woman was clad in red and her bright color fit in aspects. However, it was glaringly obvious that she was not from the world either. The woman stood, brushing off the dress before she moved to check her gun. She had to be sure she had the correct materia with her to be out in public like this. The last thing she wanted was to get stuck alone in a dangerous situation. Then again the only danger here was not matching your bow with your shoes. This made her smile a bit in amusement.
That's when she noticed a glistening in the corner and looked over that direction. The cause of this light refraction definitely did not fit into this world either. The blonde strapped her weapon back on her hip, debating asking this newcomer a few questions. Maybe she could help.

LIGHTNING (n.) a sudden stroke of fortune
Lightning found everything in this world interesting. It was a new place, a place where time still crawled along with happy and sad memories alike. She smirked as she allowed her eyes to follow the unique architecture. The brightly colored roofs and lopsided structures did not raise alarm in its residents. In fact it seemed to animatedly reflect the lives of the people that lived within them. It was a little cute. Strange, but cute. She could not help but roll her eyes at the though of even thinking that. It was nice to be able to feel that occasionally. Even though she searched for her sister and friends... she was still able to smile. Frowning took far too much energy. She was better off smiling. It helped heal her heart as well.
She was determined to fight and push forward. She would not let the chaos grip her as she she has seen so many before her fall to. She loved, and like anyone fought to prevent the loss. But loss always came and you fought not to become burdeoned by the state of affairs. She knew that every step she took forward would cast the small shells of doubt in her wake. She turned to examine her environment. Though everything was bright and happy, oft times it was a facade, protecting a world from the dangers that could befall it. Or perhaps they had found a away. A means to expel that hated. If so she wanted it to stay that way, so that one day it would carry out through all worlds.
When she turned she came upon another figure, one not quite short, nor with a tail nor ears. Sure, it had taken her by surprise, but she has stood at the end of time, side by side with both Eidolon and Beasts. They all had hearts and could speak. Those here merely had a longer time to learn. In the end they were all living creatures, whose time ticked away. This figure though was quite a stand out. Flowing red clothing and blonde hair. Light had almost forgotten what a human looked like, she chuckled.
Knowing her timelessness spent in Valhalla had introduced her to much, and secluded her from even more. Her steps forward were without hesitation, or break in posture. She held herself tall, a true warrior that has seen both victory and loss in the battlefield. She did not allow her worries to trouble her as she approached. Light gave pause, stopping a respectable distance. The woman looked very out of place, even out of her own skin here. Lightning gave a nod, her soft expression one without judgement, or mocking expectation.
"You look a bit as if you are out of place." Though the voice was softly teasing, it was something to break the ice, so to speak. The woman had quite a chill to her.

Scarlet was not usually one to stop and ask for help. she tended to be a tad bit prideful in that department. It had always been in her best interest to solve the problem at hand alone. However, she was completely out of her element here. That much along was obvious to anyone with eyes and half a brain. So, the red clad woman thought it would be best to quiz the woman.
Oddly enough, it seemed that the tall stranger in shining armor. Even among humans, it was still strange to see that sort of attire along with the hair color she had. It seemed quite natural in the Weapon Director's opinion. That was not something you saw everyday. It was apparent to her that Lightning was not from her world either. This confirmed that there were countless other ones out there. Maybe Palmers space program wouldn't have been a complete waste of money.
"It seems that way, yes." In a way, Scarlet wasn't quite fond of the way Lightning had spoken to her. But, at the same time, the blonde intended to let the thought pass. It was probably not meant to be taken in that context. "I was beginning to think Id hit my head a bit hard after seeing this world. I take it you're not quite sure where we are either?" She decided to test the waters. Maybe this new woman knew more than she seemed to know. [/font]

LIGHTNING (n.) a sudden stroke of fortune
Lightning was not as abrasive as she had once been. She was young and foolish. She was selfish and greedy. She had wanted so much, but had forgotten to receive, one must give. Perhaps this was punishment for her foolishness, or perhaps it was a second chance. Being able to travel through to span of time, of different worlds, was no easy feat. Many likely met their death at the hands of terrible tragedies that would befall the world they were summoned to. She knew, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that there was no fate involved. Humans were strong enough to live on their own, and it seemed even these humanoid creatures as well. It was good to see that life was not a planned misery, but an unplanned joy driven by the will to live.
The woman seemed indeed lost. It seemed disorientation was not an experience she suffered alone when coming to a new world. So perhaps it was not the trip, but the body attempting to accept the fact this was not their home, or familiar world. She could recall a similar feeling, though not as strong, when she first arrived at Pulse. It was a spinning feeling. The rush of adrenaline had kept her level headed, but she was exhausted and could not really contemplate the idea of being on a whole new world. It was also possible she was a bit more believing was because they had always been told about Pulse's existence, so it was not an unbelievable place, simply alien. But than there were places like this: places the imagination had only played on in the written tales of those strong enough to imagine some thing different.
"I have just arrived not too long ago myself," Her senses now fully awake to take in the uniqueness of this place. "They call it Disney Town." The locals were quite friendly, which helped the warrior settle a bit more quickly.
For a moment the woman thought before reaching her hand out to Scarlet. "They call me Lightning, by the way." Whether the woman took it or not would not offend Light, she would merely stand back after the case and keep her placid expression.
It was a calm demeanor, given the confusing situation.

"Hm? Disney Town?" She ponder to herself for a moment. The woman shifted her weight to one of her legs and moved a hand to her mouth. The place had a name, it seemed. Maybe she could have found this out sooner had she approached one of the wild animals and asked them the question herself. It would have saved her some time and made her feel less inferior now. This armor clad woman seemed to be far more informed about the world she was on. Maybe Scarlet could get more information from Lightning. She seemed easy to pull the information from, even though she reminded Scarlet of someone from Gaia.
Lightning lifted a friendly hand towards her. Scarlet wasn't normally one to be friendly toward another. However, in these worlds she needed an ally in order to secure herself. She extended her own, faking a faint smile. "Lightning, that's interesting. My name is Scarlet." It was no harm giving her a name. Maybe Lightning had information on other weapons or technologies. There was a chance that Scarlet could gain all the information she needed to secure herself. The last thing she wanted to do was be cut down by an enemy.
Scarlet had shaken her hand and pulled it back to fold her arms just under her chest. She shook her head. "I'm not much of a socialite. But, given the situation, I suppose it's best I speak up. Are you aware of any way off this world? If I'm not being too bold in asking." The red clad woman was technically stranded here. Maybe she could get some information from this pink haired warrior. There had to be more to her than simply an interesting outfit and a strong demeanor. Honestly, Scarlet just hoped she wasn't being too overbearing. The last thing she wanted was for this woman to walk off.

LIGHTNING (n.) a sudden stroke of fortune
Lightning was often calm, given her experiences. Many called her calculating personality condescending. The woman was not one to really mean to offend others if it could be helped, but her truthful and blunt nature were often a bit more than what the common person could handle. She was thankful that the people of this town were friendly. It made things easier, if not a bit troubling at the same time. Not being too used to such openness without cost, she was on the alert and cautious. Maybe it was simply experience talking, but a soldier never allowed their guard to fall. People got hurt when they did.
At first glance her facial features seemed neutral, but the faint treasures of expression peeked out from beneath the strange of rose-colored hair that framed her smooth face. The solider appeared to be in her early twenties, which would be most inaccurate, but with time frozen, it might as well be the case. Out here where hearts beat and time flowed was a weighing feeling that carried over her frame. She was, by now, quite desensitized to the differences in the flow of time, but she could see see it: see those differences that made the Seen and Unseen Worlds so different. Lightning glanced to the woman, her eyes reflecting a wisdom far beyond her age. Lightning could not help but chuckle: a sound so soft it was like listening to the woman exhale a bated breath. The woman found her name interesting? Well, in different worlds there was bound to be very different opinions on what sort of force was put behind a name.
Though her own, real name, was dreadfully average, no longer required. It was something that had belonged to a woman born a long time ago. Somewhere along the strands of time: she had been lost. She was too weak, a burden. At least this was what Light had felt for a long time. It took a while for the soldier to realize, but her old self never really died: it merely adapted to become something that could face the tribulations of the cold, changing world. In a world where the Gods scorn your efforts to live, you were forced to change to be able to raise above them.
At Scarlet's musings of lacking social interaction the face of the young solider twisted slightly as she offered a pitying smirk. She knew that feeling well. Though Lightning has had many experiences dealing with others, she was always an odd lamb among the flock. It was not that she was antisocial, more so a bit reclusive, private. Personal affairs were personal, work affairs were work. But those seemed to have long since fused into her current tasks. Scarlet's question was difficult to answer. There were many different ways to get off a world, some more acceptably normal than others. It did surprise her though that this woman was quite up front about asking. She supposed she was now the one in the shoes. What had they called her? Forward?
"Sorry," Lightning began, her hand coming to rest on her hip. "I haven't seen any airships..." She would pause and allow her hands to fall to her sides. "Or, are you maybe speaking of something entirely different?" It was possible that this woman used a gate.
But that was not always the case, as this universe was much more greatly inhabited than she had previously thought. But wherever, or whenever, there had to be a reason. Did she believe in predestination? Not really. But she did not rightly believe in coincidences either. There had to be a reason she was here, and a reason she was drawn to this woman.

The blonde waited silently for the taller figure to respond to her question. It had been quite forward, but Scarlet did not doubt that she'd answer the question. It was not as if she had asked for something personal or some secret. The name of the town and how to leave it were probably common knowledge. Though, the smirk that Lightnin have gave her in pity was not what the Weapons expert had wanted. These sort of situations were ones to loath.
The disapproving expression that appeared briefly on Scarlet's face wasn't very pleasant. Situations like this really lit a fire in her. Scarlet wanted to know all the specifics before she was tossed in. She could work with information and adapt, but she hated feeling inferior for the lack of knowledge. One of the few things she had was knowledge left. That was not something she really wanted to have a disadvantage on.
This simply meant she'd have to look into the worlds herself or find someone who already had.
Lightning finally responded to her simple question after the faintly awkward silence that had surrounded them. So, there did not seem to be a direct way off the world in the means of mechanical transportation. The woman in the dress glanced about the world, faintly nodding toward Lightning. "No, that was the sort of thing I was speaking of. I do not know of any other means to leave the world. Unless you know of another?"

LIGHTNING (n.) a sudden stroke of fortune
Watched the woman carefully. It was natural for Light to remain suspect of others, but that did not mean she had to be rude or outright difficult. Lightning was aware of her own physical abilities and her limitations. She could not do everything and everything she did had its weakness. All in all she was ready to fight or flight, as it were. Even if she was on somewhat relaxed, given the situation, her stance gave the appearance of a soldier on guard. This was not something she could help. She was someone who carried a great deal of pride, and humility. She knew when to hold her head high and she had learned when to give in. Though knowing when to give in was certainly not the same as giving up. Sue was tenacious, which many have labeled as stubborn. Whatever it stood to be in their choice of wording, the truth of the matter would remain: she was bold and would fight to her last breathe if absolutely necessary.
A life was not worth living wasted away in a gilded cage high off the ground. You would never learn how to fight off the dangers or fly.
Yes, traveling like this Lightning had learned to fly. The Goddess even bestowed her with wings that hung from her hips. When she battled she was like an Angel. The feathers would glisten with each motion and her armor shone with grace only bestowed to the enlightened. Lightning was anything but enlightened. She was still suffering in this world. She still struggled. Perhaps she was stubborn, because she refused to let go of the one thing she chased so relentlessly. The woman began to speak again, her mind having drifted off with the thoughts the lady in red had brought up. Getting off this world was important, but learning about it was too. Did it need them there, or were they a nuisance. She would listen to the question that followed Scarlet's affirmation of her wonderment. Another way? Well the only other way would be through a gate, and Lightning highly doubted this woman's ability to use them.
Weakly smiling Lightning would shake her head to the negative. "Perhaps the locals know of something?" Though she really did not want to look strange for asking odd things. "The way things are constructed here it is rather hard to tell if they even have the technology for -- airships." Certainly not the ones Lightning was used to. The warships of her world could easily ruinate the native species of Pulse in a matter of minutes.

Scarlet was not really sure how to take Lightning. There was something off about her that the woman in red did not like or trust. She decided to put it aside and simply keep her distance in the future. The saving grace was that she didn't give off Hojo level creepy. That would have set off red flags for Scarlet to walk away then and there. That man had always been a little off his rocker.
She had worked with him on a handful of projects including deepground. From what she had heard in Gaia, it seemed that their project had come to light. This was yet another reason to keep away from Avalanche. The last thing she wanted to do was run into one of those freaks off world.
Scarlet simply nodded at Lightnings reply. "Well that was quite helpful.....I'll go ask about then." She said a tad sarcastically before shifting to head off.

LIGHTNING (n.) a sudden stroke of fortune
Lighting was always a particular individual. She had ways about her that were driven by habit and by the urge to protect her family and friends. The current nature that surrounded her was the touch of the Goddess Etro. The Knight, as she stood, was a warrior that fought against the foundations of Death, the very light that Etro stood for. The Unseen Realm had began to spill out into the the world. The Chaos that swallowed it was like a Darkness that consumed the heart. She was worried that it would spread. And even though she knew Serah was – she still searched. A person did not simply disappear from this world. There was always hope that she find that piece of her sister drifting along the wings of fate aimlessly, fighting against it with all of her might. Even still, the purpose they were here, there had to be something to it. The Knight moved to follow the woman in red. Her arms were at her side: the true image of a solider.
The winged warrior was silent a moment. “Though it's strange.” She would speak up.
Striking up conversation one could hear the sounds of the crowds moving about the streets and the screen of these strange vehicles cutting around corners. One could even hear the feathers softly cutting over the wind as this armored Valkyrie stepped, but what one could not hear was her steps. The way she moved and the amount of grace she carried one could barely hear the steps of her metal boots to the concrete ground. Her strength training and size allowed her such liberties with her agility. She was light-footed and depended on her jumping prowess in battle.
“It seems we are the only ones out of place here.” It was suspicious, but more so fateful. The warrior hated to think of it that way, but Etro often worked silently, through the eyes of the Unseen. “I'll help you find your way, but I think I'll stay a big longer to investigate this world. It's not everyday an opportunity presents itself.” Perhaps the woman would stay, perhaps she would go, but she would help regardless.
The knight would begin asking around, but there was much to be concerned with the manner of communication. 'Gummi Ship'. It sounded more like candy than means of travel. She was baffled.

Scarlet had paused to listen to the warrior speak. "Hm, you're right. We do seem quite out of place here." She responded, almost a bit sarcastically. "I hadn't noticed at all." She rolled her eyes faintly, folding her arms once more below her chest to shake her head slightly. The smaller woman shifted on her heels from one hip to the other. Lightning seemed to genuinely want to help, however. So, Scarlet figured she should back off a bit for her best interest. Any and all hope of getting off this retched world was on Lightning.
Scarlet looked away, her arms still folded. "...Thanks." She responded with the woman's second comment about helping. It was appreciated since this stranger had no obligation to help her.
The woman in red shifted off as well to see if she could get anything out of these townsfolk. However, they seemed more interesting in trying to convince her to join in their games and festivities. Honestly, Scarlet had no interest in this. All she wanted to do was make her way home.

LIGHTNING (n.) a sudden stroke of fortune
Lightning stayed calm when the woman in red responded in a rather sarcastic manner, but that did not stop her honest face for from quirking up a bit in a slight, annoyed sneer. It was a passing response though. Lightning was not one easily given to sarcasm, her own manners lying more toward an honest bluntness that made her seem cold and aloof. She was a bit aloof toward strangers, that much was a given, but she was honest. Telling others what was on her mind, was simply her way. She never felt the need to lie or to be something she was not. It was especially true when she felt she was being manipulated. A long time ago she had let herself fall into the comfortable role of little miss soldier. She did what she was told and never questioned the way her world revolved around her. It had been because everything bad that happened was so far away. It never hit so close to home until her sister became a target of the Pulse Fal'Cie. It was only than had she come to realize she had forgotten her original reason to becoming a soldier. She had, above all, wanted to protect Serah.
She learned to fight – to become a sword, but she had misunderstood the meaning of the warrior's blade. She had taken the name Lightning and taken up the sword rather than the shield. She withdrew herself into the incarnation of destruction. She no longer wished to be Claire. And her sister had accepted it so easily that she felt it approval. She had never understood the implications of the shorthand name her sister called her by. She wanted to be feared and seen as an avatar of destruction. An enemy not to be made as she took out her monstrous enemies in a flashing swoop of skill and speed. Serah, even still, had seen the goodness she could do. Serah believed she could bring Light into the Darkness. It was too late. She had, only too late, come to realize that she was Serah's Light, and had failed to reach out her hand when her sister needed her most, because she was so stubborn. She had learned though. Not everyone was able to readily accept help, so she would offer her hand when she could.
After Scarlet's reluctant acceptance the woman would walk beside the devilish, red vixen to assist in finding her a means to get off the World. The native residents all seemed kind and accepting of the strangers. The invitations to join in on their festivities and games were tempting and they looked to have no cares, but Light had a job to do. It was not easy to persuade them. They were certainly focused on having fun. It was not as if Light was incapable of having fun. Her brand of fun was merely a bit different than what others considered. Light took a moment to think. Perhaps it would be more convincing.
“Actually... I find riding on ships to be fun. Is there anyplace you can point me to, that may help?” Light's voice was smooth and gentle.
It seemed that had done the trick. One of the individuals had pointed out there was a way to fly around, but they were not too sure if it was what they needed. It seemed that there were two engineer brothers that could supposedly build ships. Gummi Ships were not very well known outside of certain individuals, making their particular construction unique. The engineers went by the name of Chip and Dale and they could probably be found near the Castle. They would point off toward the large, white and hard-to-miss, castle in the distance. Light had not noticed that before, her focus on the immediate area. Her blue eyes traced up the tall spires and blue, tiled cone-shaped tops. Her face twisted in disbelief. She was starting to think that, more and more, they had landed into some fairy tale world. Everything seemed more outrageous the longer they stayed.
At the castle's courtyard a time gate would burst open, as a result of traces of Chaos that followed the warrior of light. From the Gate fell an Wild Artefact. The twisted, crystal of frozen, deformed time, fell to the ground with a soft clatter. Two, small rodents had been nearby, namely a pair of mischievous chipmunks named Chip and Dale, respectively. The two, nimble engineers bounced toward the object to inspect it. It was a curious treasure. It looked a lot like a Gummi Ship piece. So, without question, and a great deal of argument: the two chipmunks hauled up the Wild Artefact and scurried away. But this act would leave the gate wide open. The swirling twist of time would call forth a monster. Rattling shakes hissed from the distorted time, space tear. Slinking from the portal was a large Navidon. This Armadillion was ferocious and had scale plates covering the entirety of its body, which shielded it from all manner of physical and magical attacks. Looking around the beast hissed and sauntered toward an open area to sun itself...
Lightning would return to Scarlet's side with the news he had received. She was silent in her approach, her footsteps barely touching down on the ground before she took another. “It seems they do have flying ships.” Though she was not sure if they could make it off planet.
She could only hope this was the case for Scarlet. If the natives were so open to them, who were clearly out of place, they must be used to visitors... or naively kind.
“They said there are some engineers that could help us...toward that castle.” Light wasn't even sure of what she was saying herself. It was absurd really. The knight would allow Scarlet to take lead, if she so wished. It did not seem to bother Light in either way to be a follower or become a leader.

Scarlet had walked about, doing her best to try and get any information she could. However, it was the same thing ever time. They invited her to play a game or attempted to learn more about her to help her find something she might like to do. It was obvious she didn't fit in here, so it didn't make sense why they couldn't point her In The direction to make her way home.
The weapons Director had never really had much experience with children. But, that was exactly what these people reminded her of. They seemed like children that wouldn't tell her what she wanted and only wanted her to play with them. It was beginning to piss her off. She truly loathed children. It was yet another reason she had never had any of her own. That, and she'd never had interest in a family when she had her job.
That was when Lightning had made some headway. Scarlet had to admit it was a very sly way to get the answer they wanted. Play it like a game and they would answer you. Scarlet nodded with a faint smirk. She really had to give Lightning props for her actions. It was quite a feat if the red clad woman hadn't managed to get anything. If things had continued down that path much longer, she might had killed someone in order to get what she wanted.
Scarlet nodded at her statements, looking toward the castle. "As much as I dislike asking another engineer their trade secrets, it'd be a lot faster than trying to figure it out myself." She commented. Their ships reminded her of toy blocks. It didn't make any sense how any of that would possibly work in space let alone get up off the ground. But, it obviously was possible. Their technology here was much different and if Scarlet wanted to make it here, this was something she needed to pick up quickly. Thankfully the residents of this world seemed pretty open. Hopefully she could get the information she needed with little argument.
The blonde nodded her head once more and turned on her heel to start toward the castle. She noticed Lightnings lack of movement and decided to take the lead. Honestly, scarlet didn't understand why she was even coming. Then again it was possible she needed help off the world as well. It wasn't long till they were out of the town and standing before the castle. "They didn't happen to tell you were to go once we were at the castle. Did they?" the woman asked the pink haired one.
