Rapunzel stepped of the water pipe and dusted herself off. She heard Zidane talking to her. She gracefully turned around like the royal she was…that is until the boy said something about a tail. She looked at him curiously. People didn’t have tails. However when she looked back to where he gestured she saw a tail……A TAIL! She fell backwards on the ground flailing with a look of terror on her face. WHY DID HE HAVE A TAIL!
It would have appeared that the boy didn’t see her expression because he was too busy trying to release Pascal from his pants. However, when he would look up to shake her hand he would see that she was now on the ground scared of what she saw. Pascal came out and ran up the Zidane’s arm. He looked around to Rapunzel and saw her expression. The lizard looked bewildered and turned to follow her eyesight. He spotted it. It was swing back and forth and back and forth. Pascal’s eyes followed it as it went with his mouth open. He was mesmerized…..and then it happened. The lizard dove of the boy’s shoulder and latched on to his tail with his mouth.
Zidane smiled at Rapunzel, but when she did not take his hand he would blink his blue eyes. By her expression she seemed horrified. Had the Judge followed them? He looked around in confusion, but seemed to relax when there was nothing but the shadows that danced along the flashing lights, which hung far above Traverse Town's streets. He rubbed the side of his head and chuckled weakly. Maybe she was still spooked he tried to take her hair? He had to admit he seemed like some perverted weirdo that liked hair in that situation, but it really was not the case. He swore it was gold and intent on pilfering it, even if he slyly offered another story, thinking she accepted it whole-heartedly. He looked to the girl, feeling that lizard crawl up onto his shoulder.
"Ah... what is that look for? I mean I am probably a bit dirty from the run, but my face isn't all that scary... you should see my friend Cinna!" He joked, knowing well that, somewhere in the Universe, Cinna sneezed.
That long tail was very strange. It was muscular, capable of holding his weight. The fur was a shade darker than his hair and was both bristly and smooth to the touch, with two, thin layers of fur. The limb responded to outside influences, and his emotions: shifting whenever he did. He was naturally a dramatic sort and very open with his emotions. He was the sort to wear his heart on his sleeve, though in this case: his tail. It was, by no means sensitive in the awkward sense, but given that it was attached to his spine he felt with it and sudden, unexpected handling sent him off. So when Pascal's tiny, tooth filled mouth, snapped down on his tail his entire body would arch. The fur on his tail would stand on end and the boy nearly jumped from his skin as he leaped onto his toes to hold the balance of his shifting form. His tail launched straight up, looking akin to a cat's, but was as controllable as a monkey's.
Slurs escaped his mouth as he shifted to pull his tail close to try and pull Pascal off the extra limb. "That's mine!" He gritted out. He did not want to hurt the lizard, but the initial bite really hurt. His eyes snapped to Rapunzel as tears dug at the edges of his eyes. "C-can you get him off?" He grit through his teeth.
This was really embarrassing. Though the surprise was short lived, his temper toward shenanigans involving his tail were not.
"You know you didn't like me touching your hair, tail's kinda the same." Ugh what the hell was with that lizard? It was like a tiny dragon! "That's a way to start an adventure... chased by a foul-spirited Judge and mauled by a tiny dragon without wings...." He looked to the golden haired maiden and sighed. "Come on, I thought we'd make peace...plus we should probably get out of this District. That old, clanky fart is pretty relentless." But what Knight wasn't in his experience? Ugh.

Rapunzel scurried to her feet again after Pascal latched on to the Zidane’s tail. She wasn’t sure what to do. One part of her was afraid. She was raised to believe that men had point teeth…then she found out they didn’t….but now….they have tails. She stood there and stared at him as he tried to get Pascal off. He didn’t seem dangerous…despite him sneaking in her room and messing with her hair.
As Zidane spoke to her, her eyebrow rose. She wasn’t sure what to make of him. Even though Gothel’s hold on her was broken physically…it would seem that the fake mother’s mental hold on her was still very much there. She had to shake it off. He seemed nice enough and if he wasn’t….there was ways she could get away from him...at least she hoped so anyways.
Rapunzel slowly walked over to the boy and grabbed hold of the Lizard. “Let go, Pascal.” She spoke with a demanding and gentle voice. Pascal side looked her but still kept clamped on. “Now, Pascal.” She said in the same voice. The Lizard slowly opened its jaw letting the tail go.
Rapunzel pulled Pascal away from Zidane and cradled him. “Rapunzel.” She said with a hand out stretched to Zidane.

Zidane was relieved when the tiny dragon was taken by his owner. He sighed out and moved to reach out to grasp his poor tail. The gloved digits would smooth out the fur and ease the pain to a dull and forgettable ache. The thief would than settle his hand on his hips, moving to roll his neck and pop the sore bones. The cold whistle of the evening wind blew overhead, dusting passed his cheeks in a gentle dance. This had not been as easy a job as he once hoped. He felt lucky finding a discarded pile of goods, only to learn it was the hair of a young woman. Though he could say that the entire fiasco was to his benefit. He did not feel that messing with the rotten Judge would help them any. If she was asleep it would have been loads more trouble. By now, deep in his thoughts, the male had crossed his arms over his chest, shaking the morbid conclusions, physically, from his mind.
He seemed to perk up when the girl spoke up. When it came to ladies Zidane was always pretty attentive, thought it was because of his young urges and loud nature. The boy grinned broadly, always glad to have an audience for his shows. When the girl introduced herself as Rapunzel the boy could not help the smile that drew across his face. His hand would reach out and palm press against his chest while a free hand would move to take the young woman's. He bowed his head in an exaggerated fashion, making sure to lower his head at level with her hand. The act was one a young noble would show a young lady or a princess. His tail curled up and settled to a low, swaying hook. He stood tall and patted his hand over his chest proudly. Puffing up, he stood proud. However small the young man may have been, he seemed to stand tall. He had a pride that was unhindered by dignity, something he had long tossed away for the sake of survival.
“Name's Zidane, it's nice to officially meetcha!” He grinned and moved to turn around.
He walked toward the end of the rooftop to examine just how high they were and just what District they overlooked. There was no way they could have run that deep into the District, and luckily that was the case. He looked over to find they had come just a roof away from the Gizmo shop. The boy hopped onto another roof and looked down toward the ledge of the Gizmo Shop's roof. The boy turned and waved to the girl to lead her over. She would hopefully be a bit more compliant. Zidane would point down to the rooftop.
“You can get down here. There should be a ladder off in the end of this roof and you can head back to the hotel.” Zidane offered as he moved to sit in a crouched position. “I have to get back to my work I suppose, but of the Judge comes back, it'll be trouble.” The thief stood and slunk his hands into his pockets with a knowing grin.
He wanted her to make a proper choice. Going back was not safe and I was advantageous that she stick with him. He would let her make the choice before he would turn and make his way along the rooftop. The thief smiled and simply allowed himself to enjoy the night air. He wanted to find a great big adventure, but finding small pockets of trouble were still pretty satisfying. He slid down the lip of a roof to settle on a ledge. Scooping a weird looking map from his satchel, the male unrolled it and seemed to seat himself on the precarious ledge to better mark off his path. There were scribbles here and there and contemplative question marks over interesting areas. He chuckled to himself. He had so many lovely hits, but one spot really interested him... the Magician's place. He had yet to be able to locate it, but he certainly would.
He jumped to his feet, waving the map. “I prefer finding myself adventure, than lying about and letting it come to me.” he proudly stated.

The secret princess bowed her head in reaction to his bowing to her hand, the way she did for all those who graced her with a bow in her own kingdom. She preferred to keep her history silent for now because being kidnapped didn't sound appealing to her, especially now that he has tasted freedom. The blonde girl had heard from Sora that most of the princesses he knew had a knack for getting kidnapped and she didn't want to be part of those statistics. Even so, her experiences with royal and noble etiquette wouldn't go that unnoticed for long. Of course there were those who knew her out here as well and not all would remain silent. Oh well. If the time came when people had to find out then she would cross the bridge when she came to it. For now, She was the only one around from Corona. "Hello Zidane." She smiled.
Rapunzel watched as Zidane scampered around the roof top. So did Pascal, but he was watching to boy's tail rather then his body. Zidane finally came to a stop at the edge and pointed down and exclaimed that there was a latter for her to climb down if she wanted. The girl rose and eyebrow at the boy then looked down at her hair. A latter was something she really never had to worry about. She looked back up at him with a smirk on her face hoping he would get it.
He ran off across the roof top and Rapunzel bit her lip. Did she want to follow the boy or stay put? What if Sora had come for her and she was no where to be found? But what if Sora never should up again or had forgotten her like he said may happen in his letter for some reason? She started to walk in the boy's direction when Pascal jumped off her shoulder and blocked her path. He shook his head "no" at her. It seemed that her green companion wanted her to stay and wait.
Rapunzel sighed. "No." She said to the lizard. Pascal arms slumped over and his mouth dropped in disbelief. "I have been waiting for 18 years in a tower...and have been cooped up in a palace for a year. I am tired of waiting. I have wondered and wondered when my life would begin...Now I see you can only begin something by moving forward." She said to the lizard. "I have to find Corona and make sure that everyone is okay. I have to protect them from those shadow things." She ran forward after Zidane. Her hair and Pascal trailed after her.
She caught up with him when he had pulled something at of his satchel. She looked over his shoulder. "Sooooooo. Whatch ya dooooing?" She smiled behind him as Pascal finally caught back up.
Zidane didn't feel it was appropriate or professional as a thief to kidnap the owner of the goods you intended to steal. Her hair sure was pretty, but she did not physically reach the standards of his personal credentials. The thief plunked down on the roof's edge. With the map laid out over his knee and his gloved hand gingerly clutching the parchment he determined his next goal.
It was not until he heard the gentle voice of the girl call out to him did he turn his attention to her. He still did not think taking her back just yet was a good idea. That metal head could still be after them. The Judge was a pretty insistent sore that gave you a weird itch. Pushing to stand the rogue scratched a questionable itch on his back end. He turned to face the girl, about to excuse his inability to take her back to the hotel, but an unexpected question came up.
He rubbed the side of his head before puffing his chest and pounding his fist on it. "I'm a famous bandit, so I can't let tonight's obstacle throw me for a loop!" He whipped his map so it was opened up in a more visible manner.
The map was a hand drawn sketch of various Districts in Traverse Town. The map took a great deal of time to draw, and it was likely done so from other precarious perches such as this one as the roof details were matched by marked entryways through windows. The rogue had been to this town many times and found greater welcome in its perpetually dark alleyways than the bright style of Radiant Gardens.
"I heard there was a wizard that lived here." His strong smiled weakened slightly before regaining its farce. "It's not a place on my map and I wanted to explore it for treasure!" There was something strange with the young man, but what? "Seeing as I can't take you back yet, you wanna come along?" Though what self respecting girl would go along with his games.
They were obviously games and lure for her to head back someplace safe.

A secret place where a wizard lives in this town? Sora had mentioned that to her before on one of her adventures with him. She believed that he even told her where it was, but she didn't know this world very well. She could simply just know where it was directly... she would, however, know it to see it. Her memory of things that happened in the past seemed to be very good. But according to Sora, the wizard was a bit daffed, but also very nice. The stories she has heard of the old man didn't say anything about him hoarding any kind of treasure, just magic. magic that rightfully belonged to him. Maybe if she took Zidane there herself the wizard might be able to teach her magic...or maybe even tell her about the magic in her hair! Then again.....if Zidane robbed the man he might not be so willing to help. What was she going to do? She was to afraid to seek out the wizard on her own, but her only companion was a thief. Granted, Flynn was a thief too, but he renounced those ways and he never tried to steal from her. Maybe that was her answer, how she managed to entangle Flynn and get what she wanted, would it work again right now?
"I know of the place you speak of." Rapunzel spoke up. "And I am offering you a deal."
Pascal side looked his friends wondering what was going through her head.
"So here is my deal. Listen careful because it has a few parts to it." Her eyebrow raised. "I will help you find this...secret place on a few conditions. First, It the wizard is home we go to talk to him. While I am distracting him with question of my own. You may freely move about and search for treasure. However, If he is not home, you free to search for treasure yet again and I will keep a look out. Whether you find the treasure or not during your search I have away you can get your hands on a treasure that will make you rich beyond your wildest dreams...and you won't even have to steal it...it will be handed to you freely. That part of the offer can be awarded to both outcomes of the deal. All you would have to do is act as my guide and talk to the Kingdom Corona." All though that part was true the next part was going to be tricky. She wasn't ready to revile that she was a princess to the thief. It might work against her if she did. He might try to hold her hostage for more money and goodness only knew what else. "I.... work in the palace...As the Prince's healer." She had meant to say Nurse but the word nurse was absent from Rapunzel's mind since the thing that gave her the idea was her hair. "So if you return me to the palace you would be given an award for safely escorting back to Prince Eugene Fitzherbert's side."
Hopefully that would be enough to get the thief to go along with it. Either way he get his treasure, how much of it depended on him. And she would could possible get some questions answered and/or a possible way home. By saying she was a Nurse/Healer that would make her important enough in his eyes to get his reward but not important enough to be held hostage or kidnapped like the title of Princess would. After all a Nurse could be replaced if the stakes got to high so that is why she felt confident that she was in the clear from being abducted. She would just have to remember that if the subject of her having a husband came up she would have to use the name Flynn Rider since she already gave his real name as the Prince she was referring too. She need to make sure that no one finds out that Eugene and Flynn were the same person linking her to be the Princess.
"So, do we have a deal?" She put her hand out to Zidane for a shake if they were in agreement.
