Jovial Prince of Thieves Happy as can be, with a sack of goodies, the monkey-tailed thief danced along the rooftops of the sleeping town. Hoisted over his back it was his goal to cause a bit of trouble. He never took what people needed. A few extra coins here, several rings and necklaces here. He always took care to study his targets and watch their greedy eyes stray to a new watch they need't and a fanciful set of dishes put to better use. These objects were never used for himself, at least mostly. What he did not carry, or could not use, were sent back to his Troupe where they bought what was needed for their continued survival.
He only took what he felt they did not need or deserve.
He has seen the tears of children and watched their starving forms in the street. There were no others who would work for their sake. The kind-hearted thief would sometimes slip that costly silver-fork onto their plate, or lose a few extra coins to their misfortunes.
He had finally taken to rest for the night. His form was finely concealed in his black and grey cloak, a keepsake from his past. Though it was old and looked to be worn from his travels, one could see the careful patches along the hood and hem showed the care he carried for the memories. Each stitch was a hearfelt memory he held tightly to. He leaned back on his sack, legs dangling off the roof top. He gave a sigh as his tail tip flicked and twitched to his meandering thoughts. Just one more place and he would be free to head home. He had a quota to meet. After all to re-earn his place with the gang he had to bother with all that crappy grunt work.
"Tch, what a crappy way ta go.." He really had to learn to stop being so defiant and quitting the Troupe at his touchy whims. Well there was no rest for the wicked, he supposed.
He left his sack sitting on the roof. He had wandered into the Hotel's District so could relax under the soft hum of lights. The boy pushed to stand before he back-flipped off the roof. As he slipped down his tail launched up to grab onto a flagpole jutting out from the building. The monkey-boy swayed casually as he crossed his arms and legs in a thoughtful manner. He blinked and quickly reached up, or down, to grab his slipping hood. When he did this something caught his eye....
In one of the rooms, under the soft gleam of the glaring neon light of the hotel sign, the boy spotted a golden glitter unlike anything he had ever seen. His instinct told him it was something... priceless. Gloved fingers wiggled as he reached into the collar of his cloak. Maneuvering a bit he would pull out one of his thief's tools to help open this very stuck window. A hungry smile drew itself onto his youthful features before he silently pushed open the window. He reached out his gloved hand and eased himself into the window. Cat Burglar did not at all fit this fellow, where the more fitting title was Thieving Monkey. His acrobatic nature was a handy one for slipping into more off-the-ground abodes such as this. This was his lifestyle after all.
Finally in the room, Zidane would be sure to leave the window open for quick escape. He was crouched, head just below the windowsill. He blinked to allow his eyes to adjust to the low light, pupils widening like a cat's in this situation. Again, that glimmer of gold. He licked his lips anxiously.... as he crawled toward it, body and tail keeping low to the ground...

Rapunzel walked through the streets of Traverse Town. This was the place that Sora and Cloud had told her to go. The young princess was tired from her adventure and the constant fighting that she was thrust in to as of lately. After expressing this to her travel companions they suggest she go to this neon light world while they head to the next place to free from darkness’s grasp. She honestly didn’t think she was much help to the blade wielding pair. They knew all kinds of battling stuff and the only thing she really knew how to do was…..make her hair glow…..yeah ….that is real helpful. They gave her the share of munny that they had earned from the kind and grateful locals of the worlds they came to save. Chip and Dale were asked to fly the long haired princess to the town and then return for the spike haired duo. So here she was in the town that was the start of Sora’s adventure.
The young maiden squinted down at the map that she was given to get her to the hotels. She wondered sleepily by creatures, people, and light sources that would have normal caught her attention if she was so exhausted. She figured she could explore tomorrow when she woke up. She would gawk at all the pretty lights and strange people and they would probably do the same to her. She did have 70 feet worth of blonde hair and is a hair style she was pretty sure most people weren’t use to. No one would notice now due to that fact her hair was wrapped around her arm like a lasso and hidden within her purple cloak. Also hidden was the little green chameleon, Pascal, who was already a sleep next to her head inside the hood.
Rapunzel finally made it to the hotel. She had mentioned that friends had recommended her to this place. She was asked for her friends names because they can get discounts for recommendations. The moment that she said Sora and Cloud Strife the man’s face lit up. Turns out if you say Sora’s name you get a free room. She smiled at the clerk then he got her a key and pointed her to where she would be staying.
Once in the Room the princess gentle took Pascal from her hood and laid him on the bed. She walked over to coat rack and hung her cloak up. While she walked back to the bed she unwrapped her hair from her arm and tossed it all in the air letting it lay where it fell. She then stood over the bed and feel face first into the pillow causing Pascal to fly up in the air a little but the lizard didn’t wake. She then pulled her legs up in to the fetal position and hugged her side of the pillow while turning her face to the window. She watched the glow of the lights outside flicker. It was dreamy. She thought of her parents and how worried they must be to wake up and find their daughter missing yet again. She thought of her husband and wondered what his reaction to her sudden disappearance. She missed Eugene a lot. She wanted to go back home but she knew she couldn’t…not yet….not like this. Then an even scarier thought crossed her mind. What if her kingdom also experienced the strange things that she has seen? Would she be able to protect it? Maybe she would have to find a way back and check up on it with that in mind. She would have to ask Sora and Cloud about it when she saw them again, but right now sleep. The princess faded away as she was put in dreams of being home again and everything going back the way it was before. Her hair was spread out throughout the hotel room and she was unaware that in a hop, skip, and rooftop away her newest adventure was hanging by its tail.

Jovial Prince of Thieves Traverse Town was a large place full of everything a person could ever need. With shops, cafes, and places to get your weapon repaired or a nice place to rest: it was the perfect stop for any adventurer! Of course this particular adventurer did not take to the precious sights that were to behold in the bright, neon town. Even as people slept, life still crept under the shadows of the glaring signs, offering products, tempting all passerby. This dark night a rat slunk about. This rat had a long, luxurious tail of gold and a head of hair that perfectly matched the mischievous dress of a monkey. But here, in the darkness unknown, crept beasts that fed on the serenity of the sleep of others. The thief was one of those creatures. Though he was in no way the same breed of the shadows that riddled the kind folks of this town with Nightmares, he was still among the many that brought necessary trouble. For him the ecstasy that came with his work was just part of the thrill. No one was every really [hurt in the things he did, right? His steps crept along, eyes upon his prize, but something was off. He shook his head, making sure his cloak was pulled close to his body. A dance in darkness. The boy portrayed a the skill of a true acrobatic as he pushed his way through the obstacles of the cluttered room. Furniture, creaking boards of hardwood, and more yet, the sleeping victim. Gloved hands came to hover over the pile of gold. Was this... thread? Spools of thread this color could be sold for so much. When his hands came over it he was confused. Picking up the thread and running his hands through it... this was more like silk. It was heavy and smelled... sweet. The blue-eyed boy blinked, his tail lashing around as his mind tried to compile a list of things this could possibly be. His eyes followed the length of silk toward the bed. " W-what..? His soft voice exhaled the sound with muted confusion. What was this?! No way! Was this -- hair?! "Sometimes, you can't think everything out. You have to listen to your heart."

The sleeping princess didn’t awake from her slumber. She happily cuddled her pillow like it was the Rider she had left behind. So when the thief entered the room she had no idea. However something was watching over the girl something very close to her.
Pascal had awoken at the sound of feet hitting the floor as the acrobat entered. The little lizard would have remained in his sleep if the thief hadn’t made on mistake. It was the small thud that jolted the creature awake it was true but he had remained asleep through much more that had happened before including being tossed in the air. No it was the fact that he was cold blooded. He was the same temperature as the air around him. So when the warm temperature of the hotel room suddenly dropped from the boy opening the window so did the temperature of his own body causing him to stir. That with the added thud made the Chameleon shift awake.
Pascal watched the man with unblinking eyes as he danced around the room. As the person came to a part of Rapunzel’s hair a low raspy growl from him. The boy picked up the hair but it was a section that was too far from the princess for her to feel it and be awakened. Pascal knew he had to do something to protect her. Trying to wake her up would take too much time and the person might use that to get away and or get the better of the girl.
So the chameleon knew that in order to awake the princess he had to keep the man in the room and it had to cause a big enough commotion to rouse the girl that slept. Pascal crept to the end of the bed. He halted is low growl. He watched as the man stoked the hair. The green creature’s eyes narrowed and he wiggled his hind quarters like a cat. Once the man spoke the lizard sprang into action. He leapt from the bed with a hiss and attempted to attach himself to the face of the intruder.

Jovial Prince of Thieves This was a bit awkward. Here was attracted by the sight of gold, only to fall into a fool's trap. The blue eyed thief sigh. His day had started out so well. Nothing seemed to trouble the quaint town. The bars were full by the evening and the thief found it easy making a coin or more distracting them with his skill with the fiddle, regardless of it being a proper instrument more worthy than the simple title of fiddle. He would hoist coin from hobbling drunkards as he danced about playing with glee.
There were many times he wished to end his habits. He wanted to go home and stay by her side, but in travelling he learned of the world so she could remained informed to protect the people she loved, who loved her, just as he. To take what he needed to travel caused turmoil as he fought within himself. He considered many times in stopping, but he was raised living in the moment. Death followed you wherever you went, even if you nary took the time to consider him.
The town had been lulled to sleep by the excessive peace. Not that the boy minded peaceful days. It made people slothful, and too trusting. Windows were left wide in the dead of night to keep homes cool. This was one of those mistakes. He grew too cocky. Who would lay about with gold in the open unless they sought to trap a thief! Zidane rubbed the back of his head and let out a dejected sigh. Well, there goes that heist. The boy raised his head with a blink. He heard something akin to growling, but the sound was much to soft to be that of a Fang or dog of any sort. Azure orbs tensely glanced around. His hands were held suspended in the air, boy caught in the proverbial cookie jar.
His tail stilled, the fifth limb hovering just off the ground. He slowed his breathing and focused his senses. Eyes turned up when the noise bubbled up from the darkness. What was it? Then it happened. He thief lurched back when something small and black flung itself from the darkness and into the light where the boy stood. A sound of surprise jolted itself from his lungs on instinct. He was not expecting to be attacked indoors, let alone at a hotel.
"Wah!" The boy tried to leap back, away, from whatever attacked him, but he was too slow. Whatever it was latched itself to his face. The boy tumbled back so as to keep his footing, but with no inclination as to what was behind him, his back struck the wall with audible force. "Shit!" He cursed as he landed flat on his ass, nailing his tail between the wall and his body as the extra limb tried to compensate for the loss of balance.
Zidane reached up to grab the creature and tried to pry it off before it decided to lay eggs in his hair.

Pascal’s war cry sound throughout the room as he clung to the face of the thief. He hissed and even as the boy cursed and thrashed around he didn’t move from his position. He was determined to protect that which was dearest to him and at the same time wake the maiden in the bed up so she could reprimand the burglar. No one was going to hurt Rapunzel, not while the Noble Pascal was around. He may be tiny but he would do anything for the Princess.
The screams and yells of duo dancing among the room in an unorthodox way jolted the young girl sleeping awake. She jumped up out of bed and turned on the lights. Her eyes widened at the sight. Dancing across her room was a blonde person with a cloak and Pascal stuck to his face. She rose on eyebrow at the commotion.
After a brief moment of being stunned, Rapunzel grabbed a section of her hair. The hair acted like it sprang to life and had a mind of its own in the skilled girl’s hands. She had managed to toss the 70 foot long section around a rafter that was on the ceiling of the hotel and come back down wrapping around the young man’s leg.
If all was successful, she would have managed to hoist the boy so he was hanging upside down by his leg. She would then dive for a hoister on his one side that clear screamed “I am a weapon” all over it. She would pull out one of his daggers and hold it to his neck. Pascal then would jump away from the man’s face and on to the Princess’s head.
“Who are you and what do you want?” She said in the most threatening voice a sweet girl could pull off. “Have you come for my hair? Who told you about it?” She would move the dagger closer to his neck. “If you are planning to cut it or sell it; it won’t work buddy. I have to be attached for the magic to happen. And I will have you know it won’t be THAT easy to kidnap me.” The chameleon now on her head nodded in agreement to the flower’s words.

Jovial Prince of Thieves
Zidane was finally able to get a good grab on the lizard to pull him off. This damn tiny thing was what was causing the trouble? He was really starting to get annoyed. It was than the figure, a vision of an angle came before him. His blue eyes blinked as that golden rope of silk was pulled away as expertly any soldier wield his blade. What was this? When she moved he found himself baffled by her presence. She was pretty cute, but next thing he knew she was within his perimeter and reaching for his body.
Whoa, miss, I know I'm good looking, but we just met!.
There was an awkward pause when he felt he leg yanked out from under him. The boy soon found himself upside down and dangling. Well this was familiar. Most would be disoriented at the sudden lurch, but being one who was heavily acrobatic. He was momentarily shifted physically, but he would be fine. He blinked and cleared his head. He felt shaking from the belt of his pants as they were tugged in a peculiar manner. He shifted his weight as his eyes rapidly blinked at the cause of his belt's disturbance.
The girl had reached out and grabbed his blades' hilts. Like an idiot he had unsnapped the holster's lock so it left his daggers free in the case he needed them, but it woud sorely turn against him as the girl reached for his own daggers. His eyes widened when one slipped free and was now clasped in the maiden's shaky hands. Her voice gave way to a threat, idle, considering her manner. Even upside down he could easily consider certain things. His tail slowly curled up to assist his motions.
It was clear the girl was not used to this sort of weapon, but as blue eyes examined her form, something else became apparent. She looked traveled, as if experienced in some way. Her hands, though soft, gripped he weapon with strength, even if she lacked the skill to actually wield it.
"Whoa, whoa, h-hold on!" The thief was at a loss. Why did girls always one up him like this? Honestly he never learned! A cheeky grin that spread across his features as he laughed nervously. "What are you on about...um... I'm lost. You see I thought this was my room. See, the door wouldn't open, so I came in through the window." Ah that was lame. But it would have o do.
Why did he always put himself into these sticky situations?
"I mean you really shouldn't be handling blades like that, you gotta be more careful!" Honestly he was starting to sound like Stiener, but he was more worried for his current position. The boy pushed to back up to the wall, his tail lashing about nervously. His eyes danced around the room looking for a path to book it. He was stuck between a beauty and blade. It did not matter that there was no ground beneath him, but if he began to swing.... He gave a cheeky smile to the princess.

The boy managed to pry Pascal off his face with a rather funny suction cup sound due to the chameleon trying to hold on tight. The little lizard wiggled out of the grip of the young boys and fell to the floor with a thud. He got back up on all four and shook his head as a method of recovering from the fall. She then scurried up the Rapunzel skirt and on to her shoulder to look at the creeper in the night.
When he mentioned about him looking good the Princess and the lizard exchanged side glances as if not to understand what having good looks had to do with anything. Then the both, in sync, looked back at the boy. She had managed to grab his dagger from him without missing a beat. It was known by all those who know the girl that charm didn’t work on her when she had her mind set on something. Right now all she knew is there was a stranger that broke in on her in the middle of the night, was clearly touching her hair, and had a weapon on him to top off everything. She had to defend herself and she did so by taking his defense away.
Rapunzel wasn’t taking any chances as she used her hair to pull the boy into the air by his leg. She wanted answers and she was taking the chance of him running off on her. She could be naïve but she wasn’t stupid. She wasn’t going to give him the opportunity to trick her.
She could see that the boy was sizing her up. She gripped the handle on the dagger tighter. She might only know kitchen knives but she has seen Gothel wield her dagger before. She advanced the point closer the boy’s throat. “D-Don’t try anything funny. I might not look like much but I will take you out.” She half lied. She never actually killed a person before and really didn’t think she would have it in her to do so but she had to keep the bluff going. That is something Flynn Rider taught her. Even if you don’t know what you are doing…act like you do.
The nervous laugh of the boy and is reply tossed Rapunzel for a loop. Her Naïve self kicked in and she stood up straight, backing the point of the dagger away from Zidane’s neck a bit. “You are lost? So you haven’t come for me?” She looked puzzled. “Hm.”
The princess started to lower the boy down when she heard squeaks of disapproval in her ear. “What?!” She asked the lizard. More squeaks came from him. The girl seemed to understand what he was communicating to her. Her eyes casted down in thought as he continued. “You’re right.” She nodded. She pulled the section of her hair back and the boy was in the air again before he ever touched the ground and the blade was once again pointed towards him.
“So it didn’t occur to you that if the door didn’t open this might not be your room? Why not just go find the manager.” She asked him as the lizard gave and angry look and nodded at him in agreement to what the princess said.
As he spoke again about her being more careful because she was a girl Rapunzel eyebrows frowned. She wanted to scold him by asking him what did being a girl have to do with anything. The way she saw it was that he was the one in a tight spot hanging upside down, not her. So maybe it was him who should have been careful. But she didn’t. She went with another approach. “Don’t change the subject. And I suggest telling the truth this time.” Pascal on her shoulder stood up on his hind legs and with his front ones he pounded a fist into his hand.

Jovial Prince of Thieves
Zidane really was in a situation. His bluff was questioned and put on the stand. He really was not much for fibbing, his face always gave way to his lies. He was surprised that she fell for it, at least a little at first. As he dangled upside-down, he slowly swung, as if trying to right himself, which was a natural response of someone who was turned from their center of gravity. It was difficult to propose that he was trying to successfully escape considering not foot was on the ground. But this was hair! It was not rope or twine. He would be an awful jerk to cut up a lady's hair, but the thing about a lady's hair was that it was soft!
Zidane still held up his hands, in a show of surrender. He had no intention of hurting her, let alone molesting her. He was mighty offended by the ida. Did he really look like someone that would take advantage of a girl? Man that was a scary thought. He was there to make ladies smile, not cower, but the matter at hand seemed a bit contrived. He was the one trapped and had to get himself out. He was squirming and writhing his leg while his tail wiggled between his ankle and prison, slowly loosening the soft mane of gold thread that currently held him prisoner and suspended.
"Well I don't know where the manager's room is, like I said -- lost. Hard to tell left from right after drinking a bit of ale, you know?" He grinned as he felt his leg slowly free itself.
He arched his brow and moved to part his hands in a lazy shrug. It was too bad things turned out like this. He clapped his hands together to make a sudden noise and instantly reached out to Steal his own dagger back from the girl. As he did so he rolled forward, offering the young lass his back. The action allowed him to use his weight to slip his leg from the rope of hair and land in a low crouch. He was pretty small, slightly less than even Rapunzel herself. His tail slid back beneath his cloak, disappearing amidst the darkness and keeping him ad an advantage with the extra limb hidden from the girl.
He stood up with a cheeky grin plastered on his face. He spun the blade and looked about ready to turn the tables, but he just as quickly holstered it in the manner a cowboy spun and holstered their gun. "Like I said, daggers are dangerous weapons." He rubbed at the side of his head. "I did tell you the truth." Most of it anyway. "I couldn't get in so came in through the window." He laughed a bit and slowly shuffled along the wall to try and edge back toward the window.
What could he say to excuse his presence and prove he was in this world with limited knowledge? He was a terrible lair so his words had to be true, otherwise they would hold no baring and he could not prove it. He always had his back up plan.... but for now his tail was safer inside of his cloak.
"I mean I am a traveller, an adventurer, so it's pretty hard to know this and that of certain places." He glances around and looked to her hair. "And sorry, I didn't mean to touch your hair, it looked like a blanket, like silk. You looked cold so I was gunna throw it on ya." He shrugged and looked of. Man one lie after another. He felt bad. "How about I make it up to ya, for scaring you?"
His emotions were conflicting, but it was obvious that he was sorry. He did not seem aggressive, but looked more than willing to get out of there. Having a lizard to the face once, was enough. This girl did not look like she could keep up, should he run, but she already proved a bit of a nefarious foe with that rope-like hair. He would have to watch himself.

(OOC: Theme for this post: Strange Whispers and guys, thought I'd join in as Gabby as a threat so Rapunzel and Zidane can bond, you don't have to fight me if you don't want to lol.)
Suddenly the door flung open from it's locked position, almost breaking off it's hinges, some muffled screams and fleeting footsteps resounding in action to how loud and violent the noise was. A long shadow cast from the light behind the doorway into the room over the two, a tall and dark knight in glimmering armor overlooking them through darkened hollows where his eyes should be. From behind the darkened mask, the sweat of the Imperial Judge Magister lined his brow, perspiration the man could not dab away from his physical exertion as he eyed the two. Shackled footsteps of chain mail echoed through the silence of the room, floorboards creaking underneath from the excessive girth of his board armor, slow steps that increased the intensity of his presense and gait into the small room before stopping only steps away from the bed.
"One could make it up to her thy sparing her life with your own... rat."
His taunt had been at Zidane of course, the proper nickname given to him by the other Warriors of Chaos, in fact he wasn't sure if he knew Zidane by his real name. He brought up the combined swallowsword of his own that he was carrying by his side, handles in the middle and blades on each end, bringing it forth before him to yield. He had spotted the thief earlier and had tracked him down to this motel in this quaint and darkened world, especially when he learned that Cloud and the one called Sora had been here from the hotel clerk, that now lay unconcious behind his desk after the Judge had incapaciated him after his usefulness had expired. It appeared this young woman was a princess of some sort, but he was not interested in seizing her in any sort, for his interest lay completely elsewhere.
"It seems a rat has entered the fray... and as for you, girl... those who place their trust in others, are always betrayed."
He lowered the top half of the bladed weapon, so the tip was pointing at the both of them, first at Zidane. "Do you remember me, boy? I am the Judge Magister, Gabranth." Then, at Rapunzel and the odd little scaled lizard he noticed on her shoulder. "It seems I have stumbled upon not only vermin, but a woman with no visible weapon. You struggle to stay alive against the Heartless, yet it is all for naught, it does not matter in the end. All that matters is if you can survive, come, pit thou lives against my own so I may see your true worth." He declared his intentions, eyeing the both of them, not foolish enough to mistake that he was outnumbered not only by a tricky dagger-wielding vagabond but the maiden who could also be a wielder of magicks. Would they rise to see the value of his weighted words as a true threat and bond to battle against him, or would they continue their pointless bickering of occupant verses vandalizer?

Again Rapunzel found her eye brow rose to the young man that was dangling in front of her. Now she didn’t know what it was like to find her way after drinking…she didn’t drink…though she knew a lot of people that did. She thought of Shorty, the one thug from the Snuggling Duckling. He always had a drink in his hand, a diaper on, and cupid wings. The princess’s face curled up into a nervous smile. Okay so maybe she did know what it was like to be a bit tipsy. Shorty could barely see straight after drinking let alone trying to find a room. And knowing him….he too would have tried to scale the building.
A nervous laugh escaped the princess’s lips as she slighting brought the blade away from the young man. He really didn’t seem that threatening. She could easily tell he was lying and put together that he was a thief. After all she was married to a thief and she knew the behavior quiet well. He was probably hoping to steal something and saw her hair glittering in the moon light thinking it was gold.
Rapunzel was about to let him down and shoo him on his way when he clapped and reached out for the dagger that she took from him. Lucky it was already loose in her hand because if she had the grip she had on it before, the thief would find that she came with the dagger and would have ended up falling on him. The action caused Rapunzel’s eyes to widen in surprise. She didn’t want to seem too impressed with it so she crossed her arms after the dagger was stolen and the boy broke free from her hair.
She stood before the boy with a high and might look on her face. The same look she gave Eugene when she first hidden his satchel back in the tower. Oh, she knew of another dangerous weapon….one that she could wield very well.
The princess could see the boy inching towards the window. “Does he really think I am that stupid that I wouldn’t notice that?”[/i] She thought “hmmm. That steal thing he did was impressive. Eugene never really showed me how to do things like that….Maybe…..”
Rapunzel decided that this boy could be useful. She need some new tricks if she was going to protect her kingdom….that she had no idea how to get back too. The Flower grabbed a section of her hair and flicked her wrist. The hair that was near the window shot itself upward blocking the window. “Going somewhere?” She said. “Here let me give this a spin. You tell me if I am in the ball park. “She began to pace around the room and she used her hands as she talked to help tell her story. “You were creeping along the roof tops looking for some spoils. When suddenly something caught your eye! You wondered and wondered what it could have been. So what do you do next? You investigate. You come to the window and peer inside. Oooooh is that a pile of gold laying there on the floor?” Rapunzel tilted her head as if she was actually visualizing her own tell playing out in front of her. “SCORE! You finally found something. So you come through window to collect your findings only to find out that is not gold…it is hair.” She stopped pacing and looked at the boy and crossing her arms gave him a smug look. “Well…sound about right?”
Rapunzel sighed and smiled. “And how are you going to make it up to me?” She finally let her hair down so it would unblock the window. If he really did try anything she had several thugs on standby. She was just being jumpy. After all the guy did wake her up from a dead sleep.
Just then the door burst open and both Rapunzel and Pascal screamed and jumped. Pascal ran behind Rapunzel’s neck and Rapunzel nearly jumped into Zidane’s arms. “F-Friend of yours?” She asked.
Once she recovered from the shock and the intimidation of the man in armor she listened to him for a moment. “OOoookay?” She thought to herself. It was clear that Pascal was thinking the same thing as he peeked out from the back of her neck.
“Well!” Rapunzel clapped her hands cheerfully. “Tonight has been extremely eventful. But do to the fact that it is the Middle of the night and I am extremely tired…” She reached behind Zidane and placed her hand on his back attempting to push him and once she got to the man in armor she did the same to him with her other hand guiding them both towards the door in a hasty and energetic way that only she seemed to pull off. She was completely oblivious to the danger that the other man presented. She did her best to shove them both out. “…I am afraid you are going to have to leave. Now you both know that this isn’t your room and it is mine…I would suggest asking the manager where yours is. He is down the hall to left and you both have a splendid night.” It was funny to her that up until her 18th birthday no one ever stepped foot in her room and now that Flynn had done it….everyone seemed to be….where were these people years ago.

Jovial Prince of Thieves
Tonight was one of those nights where he was in a lose-lose situation. The girl seemed to take his lies for their face value, at first anyway, but as she proceeded to block his only way out he felt that wave of trouble crawl up his spine. Why did that chill warn him of something he was likely to ignore until the last possible second? He shrugged his shoulders lightly as he mentally gave up on his situational luck. It really played by the beat of its own drum sometimes. Rapunzel seemed to all but aware of his masterplan. Though more like whim. It was shiny he went for it. He really, really needed to stop following his whims so easily. They always got him into trouble.
Zidane sighed and settled a fist on his hip, tail still hidden and cloak resting on his shoulders. He ran his free hand through his sandy blond hair with a sigh. This girl was way too clever. If not for her cute face and lovely dress he would easily mistake her for a lady bandit! Luckily he only knew one of those, and they were scary as scary came! Cute girls should not be scary. He chuckled softly before laughing out. He was trying to not scare her, but she was not scared at all! In fact she was even a little dangerous with that hair-rope trick of hers, well not dangerous per say. She was more a rapscallion. A good thief in the making, but that was not something he could do to someone. It was not a great life to want, only a life driven by necessity. All of his romantic dreams of being a troublemaking hero aside the thief went to admit her assumptions as the truth, and earnestly apologize, but it seemed his wrongdoings were already to be judged before he could repent for them.
The door suddenly burst open and there before him stood one of the great Magistrates of Darkness: the Judge, Jury and Executioner of the Darkness, Gabranth! Well damn his habits really do just drag his crappy day further down the toilet. He sighed as the Judge gave his high and mighty speech. Sure he was a miscreant and probably was totally bad news for the cute princess behind him, though the knowledge of Rapunzel's true nature was far beyond his current person, what he was aware to was Gabby's anally pretentious mannerisms being waved in his face. Suddenly the girl hid behind him and the thief cocked his head smugly. Well of course she would seek him to guard he--- Oh whoa wait!!
The girl started to push him toward Gabranth with purpose to shove them both out of the room. What?! She was insinuating this metal covered behemoth had the wrong room.
Ahh, sorry girlie, he really does have the right room, and it is my fauly....
He regretted having followed the lust of his material world. He brought someone trouble hat really did not deserve it. Wait! Hold the hell up! Zidane stamped his foot on the ground to halt Rapunzel's attempt to push him into the judgmental Magister. He threw out his arms to the side and stood brave as he could not very well stand tall against the towering form of the magnanimous knight. He seemed to furrow his brows and part his mouth to speak a grand speech of defiance.
"You can't judge what you don't understand! You're a person too and don't have the right to look down on others if you can't even recognize your own flaws!" Sure even Zidane did not understand his actions sometimes and they were bad most of the time, but he always tried to make a justifiable ends to his means.
He lowered his body as if to challenge to Judge. He wanted to rain down his ideals on others, but not look at himself? A flawed person could not judge such perfect views on other people. He smirked. The boy was up to something. Pivoting on his heel the young Genome spun around and allowed his cloak to flutter in the air and befuddle his movements to confuse the Judge's target.
"Sorry, this is no fight I can expose a lady to!" Zidane hurriedly said as she ducked slightly and moved to scoop Rapunzel over his shoulder.
As small as he was the thief was physically adept. He continued forward and hoped the girl would not be a troubling victim for him to kidnap. Such bad, unbreakable habits! He would jump toward the window before kicking off the sill. Though it looked as if he would leap off the Hotel, in the stead his free hand reached up and grabbed the lip of the roof's ledge before he hoisted himself up. Swinging up with the momentum of his jump he would hope to confuse the Judge with his sudden actions and fluttering cape. He tumbled when he got onto the roof, the sudden upward leap. He was not ready for that! Man what did he do to draw attention from the Judge?!
Damn! He was really diving headfirst into a seemingly unwanted adventure.

(OOC: Theme for this post: Theme of the Empire.)
No, they would not continue bickering. Instead, the blond princess played off his trial by combat as him mistaking this board and lodge to be his very own! The stupidity, and if not that, the nerve! As the thief was pushed towards him and she attempted to place her palm on the back of his armored vest to do the very same, the judge turned and twisted in a flurry of his cape to avoid the feminine hand placed on him, spinning to the side as his double-ended blade swung down and cleaved the very spot Rapunzel had been. Indeed, she was no longer there as the thief had resisted his own arrest and absonded with the maiden over his shoulder, and out the window of all things.
He embraced cowardice. He should have expected such a thing from the monkey, but it was disgusting all the very same. The flurry of the cape out the window had blocked his view of there the two miscreants had gone, and pulling his blade out from the wooden floorboards, jogged over to look out the window and see nothing in sight down either direction of the street. But the Judge Magister was no fool... they could not have gotten away in such a distance in such a shot about of time. Monkeys scurry away... but monkeys also climb.
"Run, you fools, but you cannot run forever. Sooner or later you will face me!" he huffed in frustration, and exited Rapunzel's room. So the thief had chosen to flee, but there was still the matter of the girl. He exited the hallway and out the hotel, exiting on the footpath in the second district. If they had fled to the rooftops, he would have a better view from his helm here of them. It had all happened so fast, but the thief was wrong with what he had naught but a chance to answer. If anything he knew what he was and had already wrought judgment upon himself... thus was the very reason he was now hunting the two down tonight.

Rapunzel attempted to push the two out of her door but both resisted. Next thing she knew she was being slung over the smaller one’s shoulder. Wait……what. She couldn’t see beyond Zidane’s flutter cape so she had no idea that she nearly lost a hand. However, Pascal could see everything from his vantage point on the bed and didn’t object to the boy’s moment. Instead the little lizard ran at the boy and scurried up his leg.
Rapunzel found herself, the boy, and Pascal all of the sudden out of the window. The young princess panicked when she saw the drop from the roof to the ground below. She didn’t flail due to the possibility of being dropped. Instead once the ball of people came out of their roll she yet again grabbed a section of her hair and flung it to the closest beam. She grab the section with both hand and with the momentum that they all ready had the swung off the roof, out behind the hotel and in to the back alley near the draining water pipe. If Zidane still managed to hang on to her he would have came with the girl.
Rapunzel skid to a halt in the water itself. The water splashed up all around her and she gracefully surf the surface until she came to a complete stop at the water’s edge.
“Well that is one way to check out.” She looked up to the now back of the hotel.

Jovial Prince of Thieves
Zidane was glad to feel the touch of he ground. He had not only made that jump partially blind, but he did so carrying extra weight. The young woman's weight was not a great stress on his smaller frame, but it was still rather troubling to not physically compensate for the jump. If he was not careful he could pull his muscles or even tear tendons which would render him either immobile or with difficulty moving. He had set out to jump on the roof, but it seemed the girl too had other ideas. He could not complain, feeling rather grateful the pressure of the landing was lifted by her unusual technique with her hair. He looked up and could see they cleared a great distance, more so than that weighty Judge could run. With a moment to catch their breathe Zidane collapsed back on the roof with a sigh.
"Aww man..." A sighing laugh escaped his chest.
His hands were rested on the ground and his legs kicked out, slightly bent. He rolled forward and pushed up so that he was crouched and would press the gloved hands to his knees to help him stand. His leg were still shaking from the sudden rush of adrenaline that pumped into his leg and sent him running. He grinned and allowed his hands to rest on his hips. That long, sandy colored tail of hi swayed out and bobbed eagerly. He was still quite high from the rush of excitement.
"Man, yer as good with that as I am with my tail." As if to visualize his words the boy would motion his thumb back at his extra limb which curled up before hanging back down toward the ground, lifting up in a manner that kept it from dragging.
It was probably is fault the Judge had caught them. It left him feeling a bit guilty. Zidane reached up and rubbed the back of his head, only to blink. He looked down to his pants and moved to reach for his belts. He seemed to be behaving in a crude manner, but he had to loosen the wraps of belts that acted to hold up not only his dagger's scabbard, but the thief's item pouch and keep him well balanced while moving around. He would make it a little easier for that weird little lizard to get out. He felt them crawling up his pants leg and really did not need the tiny creep finding its way do the hole in his pants for his tail.
"I guess yer lil friend here made it out too..." Adjusting his belts the thief would hold out his gloved hand to Rapunzel. "I'm sorry, I think I caused you more trouble than I originally intended... name's Zidane." Seemed polite enough and if Rapunzel took his hand he would of course take the gentlemanly course and pull her head toward his forehead and bow.
