((Sorreh it's a tad short! D: Lets all have fun folks! :'D)) There was blood on the wind today... You could smell it, feel it. It was never a pleasant sensation whenever it occurred. Either something terrible had happened somewhere or it was about to happen. Birds gathered in trees and huddled together as if trying to keep warm, another sign that something wasn't quite right with this place. Snow fell from the clouded skies overhead as the town of Narshe, a mining town, prepared itself for whatever the future had in store for it. Of course, none knew that terror that was about to befall them or the town itself. That being said, not even the chestnut-haired woman who had ventured here was aware of the potential incoming danger. She was still fairly new to this whole idea of there being 'other worlds' out there and to be honest, she still didn't believe any of it. She merely wanted to go home and make sure that her Queen, Garnet Til Alexandros, was safe and well. Though... she was a trained warrior and General of the Alexandria Army... she knew when something bad was going to happen... she could smell the blood on the wind.
Snow crunched underfoot as the young man made her way towards the mining town up ahead. Mountains climbed high into the sky behind the town, leaving the small settlement in it's shadow. A good defensive location to avoid attacks from the north, but it also resulted in there being only one direction to flee should anything bad happen. Mind you, there may have been hidden paths through the caves and up the mountains, but this was unknown to Beatrix. No, the General instead sought shelterer. She was tired from having travelled so much and got no results or answers to aid her in her quest. The thin, skin-tight leggings she wore were hardly suited to fighting the cold weather of this place as her hot breath caused mist to escape her mouth whenever she breathed. The skin on her arms carried goosebumps from the sharp cold wind that whooshed past her constantly, causing her to wrap her arms about herself in an attempt to try and stay warm. Thankfully the wooden sign of the Inn up ahead could be seen swaying in the wind, creaking on it's rusted hinges as it was under constant bombardment of the wind.
"Inns usually are a good source of information..." Beatrix muttered to herself as he pressed on through the snow, making her way directly for the tavern. There was a horrible tickle in the back of her mind that was starting to drive her crazy, for it had started to appear ever since she drew near this location. Like an itch in a hard to reach spot, Beatrix desperately wanted to scratch away whatever this feeling was. Doing her best to ignore it though, a civilian nearby opened the door to his house and the fiery orange glow of his fire cast a warm aura over the white snow-covered ground. Just standing in the light the fire cast felt warm, despite not being near it. The sight and subtle sound of the crackling fire made the chestnut-haired General hope there was a similar fire within the Inn that she could sit close to and help the feeling return to her fingers. A tankered of ale would be quite nice now too to be honest.

Snow. It had been such a long time since this man last saw snow on his own world. He had almost forgotten what it looked like and how much as a kid he would have enjoyed seeing snow. So white and pure, it's soft touch before it melted in your hand. The feeling of it beneath your feet as you moved through the blankets of it lying on the ground. Staring at the snow made his blood boil, it was like this whenever he looked to Vulvin for too long. It was like the pure whiteness of both were mocking him somehow.
In the end all this did was fuel the man's hatred for darkness and light, light more so than darkness. Not only was he a slave to the darkness but the light labeled him some kind of monster, something that should be eradicated on sight. Like hell he'd let the light or darkness dictate how he lived! Though the darkness was more appeasing than the light. For now he'd happily be a slave to it until he eventually freed himself of the chains that were binding him to it. In his ideal universe, there would be no such thing as light or darkness.
Something that wouldn't be capable now seeing has the darkness was so tempting and satisfying. No, for now he'd just have to deal with what he has. Whatever world he was in would have to do for now, perhaps he could have some fun here. It had been a while since he fed the darkness within him so this place would do for now. Nihlus walked through the mining town with the wolf Vulvin by his side, trying to look for some poor sap to feed his hunger. Much to his annoyance there was no one out wondering about the town.
Even if someone was, one look at a hooded figure walking down the road with a rather large white wolf by his side and they'd surely run away. What a shame, Nihlus would have to weed them out of their homes and get to them that way. Doing things that way always ended up a bit….nasty, though Nihlus never had an issue with getting his hands dirty. Vulvin on the other hand, might have some kind of problem against slaughtering everyone in this town but the wolf did what the hooded man said despite his own personal problem against it.
"You know Nihlus, what you're thinking of doing will more than likely cause more trouble for you than you can handle," Nihlus had forgotten, the wolf always knew what he was thinking..how annoying. The blue haired male scoffed before looking down to the wolf, even though his world was destroyed and his parents gone he still had someone nagging at him. "You worry too much Vulvin, we'll make quick work of this town and then plunge this world into darkness," He smirked as the words came out of his mouth, he was a bit anxious to feed his hunger.
The two continued to walk, heading toward an inn they could see in the distance. Nihlus had gotten a tad bored so he began to play with this magic a bit, a small ball of flames hovering above his palm. The small smirk on his face grew wider as he got closer to the inn. As soon as he reached it that's where the fun would begin. Just a little bit more, then he could reap their screams and pain with his scythe. The images of people screaming and the looks on their faces. This was going to be priceless.

"Snow. Snow here, snow there. Snow is EVERYWHERE!!" Rikku muttered to herself, slowly drudging up the snowy hill. She was reminded of Mt Gagazet, albeit she was warmer this time. Since she'd arrived in the snowy world, the Al Bhed had dress sphere changed into her White Mage sphere, only for the sake of it helped keep her warmer.
Some force had drawn her here, having found a portal in a machina. Rikku had been wandering for the past hour or so, almost completely lost in this new world. After a while, she came across what appeared to be someone else's foot prints. "So someone else is here.. Good.. Maybe these will lead to warmth and food," she thought, following them. Following the tracks led her to a small down, where the faint sounds of glasses clattering and of wind rushing through the empty town square signaled life.
She saw a door open, and the faint sounds of a fire crackling caused an odd sensation where her body began to warm, despite still standing in the chill winds. How she wanted nothing more than a warm meal and a rest, for climbing through the snows had worn Rikku down. What would this small town bring to offer for, or against, her?

Why in the hell was Claire here in the first place? She knew that this was yet another world that needed the order and security that the darkness provided but why in the name of all things unholy did it have to be snowing? Or at least it had snowed. Either way Claire's dress did little to keep the cold air from biting at her wherever it could. [red]"Just because I work with ice magic every day doesn't mean I like this stupid weather any better."[/red] Claire mumbled to herself as she walked through the streets of this sad looking mining town.
She didn't really have any type of destination in mind but she figured she should find an in of some kind even if it's just to find a place to warm up for when the goodie goodies showed up. However finding an inn in a town you've never been to, even one as small as this, wasn't easy and eventually Claire gave up the search. [red]"Ah forget it! i need to get warm so I guess I'll just make a fire of my own. And maybe I can get to work on destroying this place in the process."[/red] A wicked idea quickly formed in the red head's mind as she r first pushed a heavy crate in front of the door of the house closet to her and raised her hand towards the wooden structure and unleashed a [red]Fire[/red] spell.
The house began to burn and the resident's fled once the flames had breached the walls. The surrounding area quickly began to warm up as the flames grew larger and smoke began billowing high into the air. [red]"Now that's more like it."[/red] Claire said with a satisfied grin on her face. She basked in the fire's heat and smirked as banging and yelling could be heard on the other side of the blocked door. [red]"Music to my ears."[/red] She knew that any goodie goodies that might be here to protect this world would surely come to investigate the smoke so Claire unsheathed her chakrams and keep watch to see who would dare to try to stop her.

what if i beg you not to apart Lenne had came to the World of Balance and Ruin. She just came through the portal and while she was here she was looking around she just don't know where she was or how she even gotten here. She just wanted to make sure that she was going to do what she needs to do. She just took her look around and she didn't know what kind of fiends would be here or what the monsters would be called in this world. She had came into this world because she had wanted to learn about it and she hoped that people here didn't judged her.
She was walking around and she loved the weather. She didn't mind any kinds of weather as long as she could remember. Lenne was ready to fight against around that deals to hurt her or any people she comes to care about. She still have her Aeon in ready just in case there was an opponent. She just came here without a guardian since she was sure that she could handle it on her own. That she didn't needed a guardian to be with her since she was positive she could do it.
I wonder where everyone could be. I loved the snow but there's snow everywhere around here. I could use someone to be here this is wide open places. Yet, Shuyin is back at Spira waiting for me to get back." Lenne said. words: 241 |

Seems things are heating up down in Narshe. The being known as Claire has beaten the chaotic Nihlus to the punch, but surely soon enough he shall begin burning as well. The two forces together could certainly wipe this entire town off the map on their own, even with the nearby good doers. They were breathing down the neck of victory for sure! Hmm, better send in the king of schmucks to screw it up.
Ping pang BOOM! A strange explosion of smoke and fireworks could be seen over head, that is if you are Claire and standing right under it. Only a few feet above the house's roof, the explosive cloud would sizzle and spark before spitting out a round, frightened being. The plump odd ball could be heard yelling like w ninny as he plummeted toward the snow at a startling speed. Luckily, said snow was there to break his fall as he landed on his face several feet in front of Claire.
The oaf lay there for several seconds, perhaps appearing dead to those who saw him. Luckily (or perhaps not), he would soon jump up and swing around. His fists raised and his feet hopping. "Let me at 'em! Let me at 'em!" The cat man yelled as he hopped about, jabbing the air with his tightly wound fists. "I'll trounce the lot of 'em! No one makes a dunce outta me!" After a few more jabs, the cat eventually realized he was not in his previous location and ceased his hopping. "Say," He said as he scratched his head, "Where the heck did those little punks go?"
Pete had just been ejected from an intense fight against his newest nemesis, which happened to have taken place on a world full of snow. You can only imagine the frustrating annoyance Pete felt as he realized the world he had just appeared in was also full of snow. Almost made him want to stomp around until- hey look fire!
As Pete gazed upon the inferno behind him, he could not possibly be happier. The fat cat ran toward its grand smokiness, ignoring the nearby woman with a dangerous weapon, and proceeded to warm himself up. As he swung his large rump toward the flames, he eventually heard the sound of screaming. he took a closer look toward the flames and realized the thing feeding it was a house. Pete backed away from it and chuckled nervously, "Seems someone messed up the -Barb-e-Que. Some people just ain't good at cookin'." Pete put his hands near the fire to warm up further. To tell you the truth, he was glad to be outta that one world. The fight was getting too intense there, a little longer and he would've been a cooked goose. Literally.
Finally, Pete would turn his head in the right direction to spot Claire. Seeing the weapon in her hands, Pete jumped back and put up his fists defensively. Perhaps she saw him fall from the sky and got scared. Or maybe she assumed Pete was the one setting houses on fire. "I don't want no trouble!" Pete exclaimed as he backed away from the woman. Pete put one of his fists behind him and formed a big bowling ball sized bomb. He kept it hidden and waited to see if the woman would attack or- is that more smoke in the distance? Pete's arms fell to his sides, accidentally revealing his concealed bomb. "What da heck is goin' on 'round here?"

Narshe, the spark that ignited the wick of the former war; the land of neverending snow, a former home of an esper. Celes watched as the sandy ground transitioned to loam, with greeneries and shrubs growing a few feet scattered fromeach other, until it reached a blanket of snow, which clungat the underside of the ex-General's boots. Her feet crunched at the snpwy road, her cloak billowing behind her as a reminder of Edgar's warnings, although in no need of such warm clothing, she kept the cloak close. The snow is nothing more than a kiss of cotton on her skin; the frigid properties of the peculiar precipitation not anymore sending signals through her nerves as a warning of the painful bite of the cold. Not anymore, not after Shiva's power run through her veins.
It had been some time since she did magic. And after the slight mishap at the opera house, she was still quite shocked at the return of her powers, at the familiar vooce of Shiva and Kirin returning to her, their powers mingling with her life's ood, giving her strength. Strength that she will need to face Kefka again.
It was then that she smelled the smoke, her senses taking time to register the scent before she heard the screams. Screams so foreign yet so familiar. The Magitek Knight froze in spot, her eyes leaving the pure-white ground, turning up to gaze at the skies, noticing black billows interrupting the path of the white clouds, and it came from the quaint, snowy town itself.
Her feet gave way into a run.
With a slight pant, she slid into the vicinity, watching as the people fled from the blaze which originated in one of the hkuse. She drew her sword in alarm, every now and then asking the people for the origins of this blaze, often met with looks of pure terror and panic. She figured she could not get an answer with just interviewing a lot of jostled people and so she pushed forward, following the blazing entrails of the fire.
It was one of the village houses, situated up north, and, in front of the house stood a girl and a...dog? If only she was not hellbent on saving the people, she would have left the duo alone. But seeing them calm and collected amidst all the chaos made her wonder; why? Why are they standing there and doing nothing?
"Were you the ones who started the fire? she said, sword pointed directly towards Claire, waiting for a sufficient answer to either hold or strike.

Xemnas had been traveling the universe, going from world to world. He had given himself the personal mission of going from world to world, seeing which world would serve the cause of Master Xehanort the best. Xemnas had also been search the cosmos for any and all that wish to lend their arms to Master Xehanort's cause. Xemnas was for himself but for now, he had been working to stop the large wave of momentum that had been brought on by the denizens of Light. From what Xemnas has seen, if there was anything that he could agree upon, it was the solidarity that the denizens of Light had. It was because they worked together that they were able to bring about what was almost the complete annihilation of Darkness. Now it was time for Xemnas to act. Xemnas and his leader Master Xehanort would push back the wave of momentum that the denizens of Light have brought upon them and a cry of terror will come from the Light that will unlike anything that anyone has ever heard of.
Xemnas had found himself going to a world that he never been to before. He found himself walking through snow but he wasn't that cold, and even if he was, he would never let it show. That was the type of being that Xemnas was. He traveled through what appeared to be a mining city with his hood over his head, hiding his identity. Xemnas was fresh off defending his dear home and his Kingdom Hearts from the denizens of Light. Those that helped were amongst the strongest group of being that Xemnas had ever met. Sephiroth, the One Winged Angel, and Gabranth, the Judge Magister of the Archadian Empire made their appearance known as well as Master Xehanort, to whom Xemnas was deeply connected to. Xemnas met Sephiroth and Gabranth on two separate occasions; he met Sephiroth on one particular world and Gabranth on the other but they were able to hold together and hold back the Light.
And now, Xemnas found himself surveying this world, seeing if it would work towards forming a sound foundation upon which to build the reign of the True Organization. It would seem, however, that while Xemnas was looking to start trouble and plunge this world into Darkness, it would appear that trouble had found him because he had seen a group of people by a burning house. Xemnas narrowed his eyes and took flight, nearing himself toward the group to survey them by being as quiet as possible in the matter. He saw a woman with bright red hair in a skimpy outfit. It was clearly not proper attire in weather like this. He then saw another being that appeared anthropomorphic dog and he saw another being. A woman that had her sword pointed out toward the anthropomorphic dog and the red headed woman. He sniffed the air and he found himself looking toward the red headed woman and the fat dog that stood upright on two legs. Xemnas raised an eyebrow at them, sensing the dark aura that emitted from them. It was then that he realized that the one holding the sword was a warrior for the Light. He would not let them harm those that could further the cause of the True Organization.
Xemnas then flew a bit to place himself in between the red headed woman and the woman that would dare point a sword at those that could help the True Organization. Xemnas then descended, letting his weight dig into the snow. He then looked up at the woman that had unsheathed her sword. Xemnas sneered from behind his hood, her stench...that horrible stench that a being of Light would only have filled his nose. Xemnas decided that he would defend those that would plunge this world into darkness. Xemnas then began to summon energy to his right hand. He make those that fight for the Light cry out in agony, and he would bring despair to the likes of Sora and his friends and those that would help them, starting with this woman.
"Foolish warrior of "The Light", encroaching upon where you do not belong, accusing innocents of terrorism. This world belongs to the True Organization...you do not belong here. I believe it time to take your leave and relieve us of your presence here...", Xemnas said, as he thrust his right arm forward at the one who pointed her sword at the red headed woman and the anthropomorphic dog and used Authority Bolt, summoning energy to the palm of his right hand and then hurling an energy based attack in the form of arcing bolts of electricity from his hand toward his opponent.
Actions Taken:
Action: #1: Xemnas flew in position to get in front of Claire and Pete.
Action #2: Xemnas used Authority Bolt on Celes.
Powers Used:
Authority Bolt - Xemnas then summons energy to the palm of his right or left hand and then he hurls an energy based attack in the form of arcing bolts of electricity from his hand toward his opponent. (2 post cooldown)

Standing above all on this land the Galka observed the silent beauty of the snows and how they blanketed these lands. The mage had never seen such deep mounds of crystallized wastes since they had travelled the to the edges of the Beaucedine Glacier. Already had dark and light gathered in an unsettling mix of volatile presences. Though the Light felt they did good, all they wrought was an unnatural imbalance between the worlds born of Altana's good. The Dark felt as if they succeeded over the tyranny of the Lightbearers, but could not see they only perpetuated the good's selfish idea of selflessness. Both sides carried an idea, but only one could wield it under a justifiable cause. Though the Galka stood neutral between this mix of beliefs, the mage did not believe themselves capable of judging another so harshly when their own sins have yet to be repented.
A beautiful white set of robes assisted the healer's beastly form in blending in with their surroundings. On the left arm was a mighty shield meant to protect the weak and in this other hand sat gripped a mighty hammer for punishing the wicked. Pale legs stood exposed to the weather while sandal covered feet sunk more deeply into the cold blanket of white. As time passed the Light and Dark alike began to be congregate like a swarm of Thieves to treasure. Their long, stiff tail swayed lightly as their thick black, beard, which was part of an even grander mane of black and white hidden beneath their hood, iced over with flecks of snow. What was their duty as a child of Altana still learning? Why it was the Healer's duty to ensure each life remained sacred and was not defiled or abused.
Darkness had a grand tendency to ruin all in their path. The massive Galka would act as that wall between them and the castle. In turn the mage would ensure too that the forces of Darkness stayed well from harm's way as well. According to all that they have learned up until now is that: there was no such thing as evil, merely a harsher path to a goal that needed more help to find their way back to their original pilgrimage through life.
Seeing the fires coil into the dusty skies of the chilly town: Swift would hurry their way down. Though large Swift's reaction time was exceptional. Swift slid down the slanted cliffs of snow and gravel until he reached the bottom with a roaring clatter of debris. There it seemed conflict had already began between the opposing forms of existence. To the brute they were no better than adventurers, causing all manner of problems for a pilgrim such as the Galka. Swift landed a short distance from Celes.
Glancing over from beneath their hood the monstrously imposing figure of the healer bade warning to his 'comrades': "Though I stand at your side to ensure your well being and the Balance, nary will I allow one to harm another more than necessary. Merely knock an opponent down, for they too serve a purpose in this mortal coil." The beast closed their eyes and began to chant.
Though Xemnas was right and the denizens of Light did not belong here, neither did the Darkness. All beings, currently, looked to be a danger to this world.
"Guard the world and hold it in your arms. There stands the men and women fighting for their truth. Altana guard them from harm." The Healer cast upon the nearest members of his group Sancrosancity. "Do more harm to another body than is necessary, my oath will dictate me to protect them as well. My only goal is to maintain the balance of this world."
NOTES: •Sancrosancity: This spell doubles the party's magical and physical defense for a four post duration. -5 Cooldown.

The cold wind continued to blew, whistling past Beatrix's ears as it danced past her and vanished around the corners of building and behind rocks. Slowly, her progress towards the Inn was coming to an end and she could already feel the comfort of a nice warm fire soothing the chill within her hands and face. Perhaps she'd rent a room for the night as well and enjoy some time in a comfortable warm bed as well. The thought already seemed to 'warm' the General up as she pictured and imaged her own bed back home in Alexandria. Oh how she longed to feel those soft sheets upon her skin, to roll over and sprawl out as she relaxed on her day off. Then Steiner would bound in and start jumping up and down on the spot frantically as he cried about Zidane picking on him again or something. Beatrix smiled to herself but was brought back to reality when another cold gust of wind literally blew the nice thoughts out of her mind and carried them off into the darkness.
Snow crunched underfoot and was accompanied by the soft rattle of Beatrix's armour as she extended out her right hand, her finger about to grasp the handle of the door to the Inn before she heard a terrified scream coming from deeper within the town. The chestnut-haired woman blinked and moved away from the Inn, jogging to the corner of the Inn and glancing around to see the orange glow of fire lighting up part of the mining town not too far away. A column of smoke had started to rise up too and several residents of this town were seen fleeing from the source of the flames. But... how was that fire going to be extinguished if everyone was running away? The fact that people were fleeing told Beatrix that this fire was perhaps not a freak accident and that it had been deliberately set. The urge to seek warmth had all but left the young woman now as she took off around the corner of the Inn and ran through the snow in the direction of the fire.
After running around a couple buildings and making her way down another street, General Beatrix came to a halt as she rounded a final corner to see a house engulfed with flame. Screams were still coming from the building and a gathering of figures could be seen just beside the fiery home. Why were they just standing there looking at one another? A woman with red hair and not much clothing was standing next to some sort of bipedal dog with a man in a white and black cloak standing between them and a blonde-haired woman with her sword drawn and a flowing white cape attached to her shoulders. The chestnut-haired woman just stood her ground for a second as she observed the scene, remembering an instant later that the house was still on fire and that innocents were possibly on the verge of death with no sign of help. Well, maybe the woman with blonde hair and the white cape was trying to help, but was being obstructed by the other three?
Making up her mind, the General of Alexandria was ready to head towards the group before she was distracted by a large beast-like man sliding down the cliffs nearby and casting some sort of spell upon the three obstructing the blonde-haired woman. Then the man in the black and white cat said something before attacking himself. This seemed fairly one sided, four against one, so Beatrix thrust her hand hand to the handle of her sword and pulled the infamous weapon of Alexandria from it's sheath. Armoured boots rattled subtly as Beatrix ran off towards the group, intent on putting out this fire and thwarting those who looked most likely to start a second. Each running step carried the chestnut-haired woman closer and closer to the burning flames. As she drew closer, her left hand raised up to her forehead where she started to cast a spell. A soothing green glow surrounded the young woman before she flicked her left hand out in the large beast-man's direction, attempting to cast Silence
[/b] upon him in hopes to blocking his ability to cast any more spells. Next she turned her attention onto the man in the black and white coat, where the General once more readied herself another spell. A similar green aura surrounded the Paladin as she cast another spell, the lower half of her duster thrashing out behind her from the wind and from her running forth. Casting a Blind[/b] spell towards the man in Black and White, she hoped to try and stop him from attacking the blonde-haired woman for a short time. Now Beatrix was close to the group but she continued to sprint forth, her icy blue eye locked onto the red-haired woman. With Save the Queen in her hands, the General of Alexandria leaped at the red head and swung her blade up over her head, lightning and electricity crackling down the length of the blade as she readied Thunder Slash[/b]. Swinging the sword down, Beatrix aimed a heavy overhead strike down towards Claire's head, causing a loud clap of thunder to shake the mining town and allowing a bolt of lightning to crackle down from the skies above. The red head was not the target of the lightning however, for instead the bolt of electricity struck the top of the cliff face near the burning home. The strike obliterated part of the cliff face and caused a large amount of gathered snow to tumble down towards the burning home and extinguish the flames, hopefully saving those who were trapped within. [/blockquote] -------------------------------------------------- [#@rand#=11.786379460466083%@] The above /rand code will be used to determine success, which has a 50% success rate signified by the Odd numbers of the /rand roll. Even numbers mean the spell has missed. Check the post below for Blind's success rate, since only one /rand code can be posted per post. -------------------------------------------------- DamageNone taken. Actions1. Beatrix cast Silence upon Swift. 2. Beatrix cast Blind upon Xemnas. 3. Beatrix used Thunder Slash on Claire. Cool DownsSilence[/b] - 3 Posts -- A status effect spell that causes the target to lose their voice and be unable to speak for the duration of the spell, including removing the ability to cast any spells. Weapon abilities however will be unaffected, such as Cloud's Blade Beam. Streams of light will slowly start to surround the target's head before focusing on their mouth, attempting to literally suck their voice out of them for a few minutes. The target's voice will return to them naturally after 1 Post, or sooner if a counter to Silence is cast. Blind[/b] - 3 Posts -- A status effect spell that can leave the target in darkness. Several bright flashes of light flicker before the opponents eyes as a fog of black mist encases the target's head, rendering their ability to physically hit targets next to useless. Does not effect spells or magical abilities. Thunder Slash[/b] - 2 Posts -- Beatrix rushes forth towards her opponent with her sword in hand and as she draws near, she jumps towards her enemy and attacks with a vicious overhead strike, causing a bolt of lightning to crackle down from the skies and attempt to strike her target for a two hit combo dealing Heavy damage if both attacks land.
