Cerberus Cup Fourth Round After a furious round of fighting in the fourth round, only six combatants remain out of the original twelve. Everything is on the line in this round, as only two of the combatants remain undefeated. The next round could have five remaining warriors, or we could be down to our final three. All that is known to the warriors remaining is that the fourth round of the Cerberus Cup has begun! Posting Order Genesis, then Namine

This tournament was not really going quite as expected. There was no complaints about moving up the ladder towards the final match, no complaints there at all. The only problem was how these fights were turning out. The first match, against a worthy adversary and long time friend Sephiroth, had ended abruptly with no pleasurable conclusion for either of the skilled ex-SOLDIERs. The second match was a little more frustrating, where the child-like boy in boy was not taking the match seriously at all and somehow managed to walk away with the victory... probably from the 'cute' air surrounding him. Maybe he put some sleeping weed in the tea of the judges and they weren't awake to see the full match? Finally, the previous round was another one to get the blood pumping - a chance to use his full strength against another very capable and strong warrior - Zack Fair. But he too, much like the silver-haired legend, forfeited the match and left. What was the meaning of this? Why did the strong opponents run and the weak remained, only to lose against them? This tournament really was not going as expected...
Sitting in the waiting lobby, resting after having used the mystical Healing Fountain, Genesis Rhapsodos rested with closed eyes, hands on his knees as he took slow, deep breathes to keep his body in a nice, calm, relaxed state. The powers of the healing waters shot through his body so much faster now then when he was on his feet, thinking or worrying about things. The lobby had got so much more quiet now that a portion of the tournament entries had been defeated and either left to go back to their own lives or ventured out into the audience to watch the rest of the matches. A few familiar faces remained and Genesis was not surprised to see that some of them were still here and getting ready for their next match themselves. Sora, Selena, Whatever and Naminé were all still fighting for the right to earn the title of Champion this day. There was one face that the Crimson Commander did not recognize though and it was of a spirited young woman whom appeared to be a Keybarer from the aura she gave off, but did not come across as a very capable one. A small 'heh' escaped the SOLDIER First Class's lips as he realized that over half of the remaining warriors in this tournament were indeed Keybarers.
Sora... Key to Everything. 'Artemis', mysterious winged woman... Naminé, innocent but determined... and whoever that young woman is... Not sure I've even seen so many Keybarers gathered in the same place before... I wonder if 'Whatever' can summon a Keyblade style weapon with his powers? Thought the auburn-haired man as he finally pushed himself up to his feet and ventures across the lobby to the gate he was due to head through. Perhaps a Keybarer would be able to provide the much needed challenge that Genesis was seeking now? Sephiroth and Zack failed to provide and now Genesis felt a little irritated. He wanted to put on a good show for the people who had come here to watch the fights. How was he able to do that against opponents who fled the battle and against one who wouldn't fight seriously? Perhaps it was the other way around? Maybe these tournaments were only supposed to be fun and games, a place to test your strength against a wide selection of other warriors? Maybe Genesis was looking too much into it... having his SOLDIER instincts and lust for battle take control over him?
After hearing the call from Phil for the remaining contenders to head to their designated gates for the next round, Genesis eagerly made his way there, eyes hard and focused as he stepped through the opened wooden gate, hearing the cheers and chants of the audience growing louder and louder with each step closer he took. A small smirk tugged at the corners of the SOLDIER's lips as he ran the numbers through his head. There were six opponents remaining, one being himself and one more being the strange homeless boy, Whatever. That meant there was at least an 80% chance the auburn-haired man would be crossing blades with a Keybarer this round. Sharp blue eyes glanced down when he felt a twitch shoot through his right hand. Genesis smirked wider as he clenched his hand into a tight fist and bright his arm up before him, watching his fist was a keen eye. "Maybe... Just maybe... I'll get a good fight now." Spoke the Crimson SOLDIER aloud, his voice vanishing into the loud eruption of cheers and chants the moment the thick wooden gate leading to the arena creaked and opened up, the chains holding the heavy door rattling as they pulled the door up off the floor.
As the light of the arena lit up Genesis' waiting area, the heat of the torches and cauldrons touching the skin of his face, the roar of the audience reaching his ears, the Crimson SOLDIER took a moment to stand still and once more, soak up this amazing feeling, allowing it to give him strength. No more disappointed matches were to follow! Now and up till the Final round, battles worthy of being shared by the Gods themselves would be fought here!! Finally, Genesis stepped forth out of his entrance and onto the soft sand of the arena - a deafening cheer lifting the roof off the Coliseum - boots crunching softly as the auburn-haired man acted out his usual entrance, waving and smirking to his fans. By time he reached the raised fighting section, the SOLDIER First Class stepped to the center of the arena and turned, facing the gate his opponent was bound to come from. But instead of summoning his iconic Rapier to hand as he usually he, Genesis just stood there and awaited first to see whom would appear before any other action would be taken.
This was Genesis' coliseum now! Hercules had his chance and now it was Genesis' turn! Twice in a row he had become the champion of the Tournament and tonight would be the third time he claims that title! Whoever was his opponent, bring it on! Give everything you had! Fight as if your life depended on it! Provide the challenge that the Crimson Champion seeks and hold your head high at the end, knowing you gave your all!

Naminé fell asleep on one of the benches in the tent after the watching the second round. Her Opponent didn’t show so she won by default. Her fight with Sora took more out of her then she wanted to admit. After watching everyone else and cheering on her favorites she took a quick nap while the 3rd round was being matched up. Someone woke her to tell her that she was getting a pass for the 3rd round so she wasn’t going to fight. The memory witch was kind of disappoint to here that. It would have been different if she would have gotten to fight in the second round. She wanted to see how much she had learned and what she could really be capable of. All of these freebies weren’t showing her anything. It wasn’t giving her the motivation that she could be something.
Naminé sighed heavily and laid back on the bench. “Well at least I will be well rested if I get to fight in the forth match.” She thought to herself. “Please please let me have a chance this time.” She buried her face in the cool, hard wood of the bench.
The bells and whistles when off to signal the start of the third match. There was no point in moping around. Naminé when off to watch the new fights. She found herself in a happier mood and cheering on her friends and the people she admired once she was in the arena. The Coliseum had its own funny way of lifting one’s spirits. She was happy to see Dark (Whatever) he was undefeated. Not in the way she was. He actually got to fight all of his rounds and won by choice. He was really good, but she guessed it was because he was so use to it. His before life was based around fights like this but with higher stakes. She cheered loudly for everyone but there was no doubt her voice was lost among the other cheers of the spectators.
The battles finished and it was time for the 4th round. Naminé ran back to the tent hoping she would get to fight this time. She looked happily at the list. Dark (Whatever) won again. He was to be paired with this Azalea girl. She didn’t know much about her but she seemed flitty. Naminé didn’t understand this woman at all. “Good Luck Dark.” She thought. “Be careful.”
Sora had made it, and he was to be paired with….”ARTEMIS!” Naminé nearly jumped out of her sandals. This was so exciting...for her anyway. She smiled gleeful before realizing that she didn’t know out of the match who she wanted to cheer for. She rubbed her arm nervously and giggled.
Next was her name. She was going to get to fight roster wise. That was good to know. Her eyes fell on the name that was across from her. She stood there for a moment just looking at it. Then a voice came behind her.
“You think you can beat him?” He half laughed.
Naminé stood quite for a moment before answering. “I don’t know.” She said without looking person the voice belonged too. Then she turned her head to face Phil. “But I am going to try.” She smiled. To her this would be a great way to see how far she had come. Genesis was her first ever fight in a tournament and now he can be the marker to see if she truly learned anything or if it was dumb luck.
She looked around to see if the crimson man was around but he must have already headed for the arena. The cheers made it obvious that he had done just that. Last time this fight happened the crowd fell silent on her first appearance. She wondered if it was going to happen again.
Naminé got behind her gate and it opened. The little white being entered the arena. People cheered for her this time. She looked up at the crowd a bit surprised that they were making some noise for someone who appeared to be nothing more than fragile child. She smiled and waved. As she walked up the steps she placed her hands behind her back and walked to her mark. “Good Luck.” The memory witch said with a bow of her head. Not that the Champion needed it. And he already granted her wish. He was standing before her which meant she would be allowed to fight.
As the words to fight were uttered Naminé calmly brought her right arm out so it was parallel with the ground. This time the fight would be just her playing mind tricks. She had learned a few things since then and she knew if she wanted to have the slightest chance against Genesis. She would have to use them all. A burst of light shot from her hand with a fragrance of Flowers to fill the battle field and Destiny’s Embrace appeared in the hand of its second owner. Naminé took her one, arm wielding stance along with a deep breath.
“Focus Naminé. Don’t let him shake you up.”

A cheer arose from part of the arena in the direction the auburn-haired man was facing, his sharp eyes watching the entrance gate that belonged to his opponent. Wood creaked again as the heavy chains strained and slowly raised the door up, revealing his next opponent in the tournament. The creaking of the wood and the rattling of the heavy chains went unheard however due to the noise the audience were already making, mostly cheering and chanting the Crimson SOLDIER's name as he was already ready and waiting in the middle of the Coliseum. As the other contender made her way into the arena, the cheering grew louder and almost seemed to 'split' down the middle, half those gathered here to chant and encourage Genesis and the rest doing the same for his opponent. A few 'awwws' and the very subtle questioning of why a little girl was entering an event such as this, did manage to reach the Crimson Commanders ears, but this only caused a small smirk to tug as the corner of his lips as he watched the small, blonde-haired girl approach him.
Little Naminé had the fire of a champion in her eyes, such a strong air of determination surrounding her and it was great to see such a thing from her! Back in the second Tournament the SOLDIER First Class entered, this young woman was his first opponent. She had some very interesting powers, being able to summon those strange white creatures as well as being able to turn herself into the image of other people, gaining their abilities as she did so. Meaning, if she were able to, she could turn into perhaps Sora or Roxas and use their abilities in this fight. But... there seemed to be something tickling the back of his mind, something telling the Crimson SOLDIER that little Naminé wanted to win this fight as herself, as if this was a test for her to see how much she had improved since last time. Perhaps. Maybe not? Either way, she was certainly keen on getting this match started as she spoke kind words of luck. Genesis' subtle smirk shifted into larger, warmer smile as he took a couple of steps forwards towards the girl in the white dress, standing before her and looking down into her bright blue eyes.
Still smiling, Genesis raised his arm and plonked his gloved hand upon the young woman's head, patting her and then ruffling up her hair a little. "Do your best, Naminé! Show me how strong you've become." His voice was soft and soothing, same as always when he addressed friends. Lifting his hand off her head, Genesis smiled again before taking a few steps back, watching with eager eyes as the match begun and his opponent summoned her weapon. Expecting to see a sketchbook appear in her arms once more like last time, it came as somewhat of a surprise to see that the rumours were true. Naminé had become a Keybarer! Genesis' face told the full story as his smile vanished and his eyes glowed with curiosity at this sight. This changes things... Pondered the Crimson Commander as he slowly raised his right hand up and out to his side. At arms length, his gloved fingers twitched and slowly flexed as if wrapping around something. A stream of fire and flame burst out from the SOLDIER's hand, burning intently as a bright fiery orange glow lit up one side of the auburn-haired man.
A subtle rattle of metal clanking came from the stream of fire a moment before Genesis took a tight grip upon the handle of his Rapier, pulling the weapon free of the flames that died down and extinguished themselves moments afters. Lifting the weapon up before his face, Genesis pressed the flat edge of the blade against his forehead and closed his eyes, taking a second to ponder possible battle tactics regarding a new Keybarer he had never crossed blades with before. There could still be every chance she could transform herself or summon more of those creatures, but now she'd have many more abilities that would utilize the Keyblade itself. If it was anything like 'Artemis's' Keyblade that carried a poison effect, it would certainly become something to watch out for. Upon opening his eyes, Genesis smiled and lowered his Rapier down to his waist, turning the blade about and softly stabbing the tip into the ground as he locked his eyes upon Naminé, nodding at her softly. "Ready?" He asked.
He waited a moment to see if an answer came before he pulled the slender Rapier up from the ground and pointed the blade in the young woman's direction. The crowd cheered and clapped, chanting both the fighters names as the battle got under way. Who was going to come out on top here? The young and innocent Naminé, friend of Sora and Roxas and now one of the elite fighters in the Kingdom Hearts universe, or the current two-times Champion of the Coliseum, ex-SOLDIER First Class and sparring partner of both Sephiroth and Angeal, Genesis Rhapsodos? The time to find out, was now!
Flexing his knees, the auburn-haired man suddenly bolted for little Naminé, his Rapier raising up over his head before being swung down in an agile vertical slash, aiming a blow with more speed then strength behind it, towards his opponent's head. As his long leather coat caught up from the sudden forwards movement, Genesis grinned as he took a wide side step out to his right, circling Naminé about 90 degrees. As he side stepped, the Crimson SOLDIER turned his back to his opponent, leaving an opening for her to attack if she saw it. With his back to Naminé, Genesis pulled his right arm up before his chest, holding his Rapier steady before he slashed his arm out in a stronger horizontal arc when turning about to face the girl in the white dress again. However, Genesis' right hand was empty, his 'feint' attack nothing more then a distraction to provoke Naminé into blocking. The crimson Rapier had in fact switched hands and as Genesis completed his rotation to face his opponent again, his left arm swung out and aimed a Rapier strike towards Naminé's stomach.
With a grin covering his face, his bright blue eyes flashing with the adrenaline of battle, Genesis flexed his knees a second time and jumped backwards a few feet, opening the gap between himself and his younger female opponent, upon where he stood his ground and waited to see what sort of retaliation he'd be getting in return. This was going to be a good fight! He could feel it within his body!
------------------------------ -=Damage=-No damage suffered as of yet. -=Actions=-1. Genesis dashed forwards and attacker vertically with his Rapier, aiming a strike to Naminé's head. 2. Side stepping to Naminé's left, Genesis turned about 360 degrees and 'feinted' a right arm sword swing, following up with an actual left-handed Rapier strike to Naminé's stomach afterwards. -=Cool Downs=-N/A

Naminé closed one eye as Genesis’s hand came down on her head. She giggled as he ruffled her hair. She wasn’t one of those girls that through a fit when their hair got messed up. It wasn’t hard to pat it back down and have it lay flat again. She nodded happily in agreement to the ex-SOLIDER’s request. “Don’t worry. I will do the best I can. Promise.” She said then she summoned her weapon.
The crimson dressed man’s smile seemed to fade at the summoning of her blade. Naminé looked at her weapon then back to Genesis. It seemed that the Keyblades brought more frowns to people’s faces then smiles. She was worried that she did something wrong. It wasn’t a look of fear on his face. She didn’t think this man feared anything. But it was an emotion that she couldn’t pinpoint. She thought of dismissing it but something in the man’s Mako infused eyes told her not too. She had made her play and it was too late to take it back. With that the memory witch stayed in her battle stance with the Keyblade held with one arm out in front of her. “Ready.” She answered Genesis after his moment of silence.
As Genesis ran for her something caught her eye towards the ground. She didn’t bother to look since there was a very tall man and a sword coming in her direction. As he brought his Rapier down all the memory witch knew how to do was block it. She placed her Keyblade horizontally over her head. The two weapons clashed and her’s was pushed downwards forcing her to put her other hand on hilt of her blade as well. The pole of her key was resting now on head as her body helped support Destiny’s Embrace in fending off the Rapier. Strength might not have gone into Genesis’s attack but there was no denying that he towered over her. His height plus his speed was all he really need to force Naminé’s blade down.
The Rapier soon left her blocking Keyblade and her head. Naminé caught the grin on Genesis’s face as he stepped out. Something once again caught her eye and brushed against her leg as he did so. She chanced looking down. “….I never noticed that before.” She thought to herself as her eyes meet her distraction and she lowered her weapon to her midsection. Lucky for her since she was so preoccupied with the ground she didn’t see that he tried to fake her out. So she made no attempt to block that attack she didn’t see. However she did see the red blade come in for her belly since she was already looking down. She attempted turn the flowery weapon vertically with the hilt in the air to stop the Rapier yet again but this time it wasn’t as successful. His blade was much longer and she miss judged the distances. The reaper still managed to cut into her dress and draw some blood.
Naminé winced and held her side as Genesis jumped away from her. She thought he would attack again but he seemed to be waiting for her. Her eye once again fell to the object that she never really noticed about the crimson man till now, then back up to the man himself. She let go of her side and ran towards Genesis with her blade at her right and side. When she got half way to her target she brought her weapon across her body like she was going to a horizontal slash. Once she was nearly upon the man to the point where all it would take was for him to hold out his Rapier and pierce her she fell on to the ground allowing herself to slide past the man’s right hand side and out of reach of and high or mid attacks he may have attempted. Once behind him, Naminé stops her sliding by grabbing on to the object that she was so interested in, Genesis’s long, red, leather coat. She pulled herself up. Assuming that Genesis was standing with his leg together he might have been thrown of balance by the forceful grab of a girl sliding at full speed passed him and her full weight as she pulled herself up. She kept a hold of his coat and as she came up she did a horizontal strike to his back with her blade. With his coat in her left hand it would make it easier for her to find out which way he was going to move. The slightest shift in his body and the coat would give it away giving her enough time to counter.
Actions: 1. Block Rapier’s head attack by holding up Destiny’s Embrace. 2. Attempts to block Rapier by holding Destiny’s Embrace vertically with hilt in the air and key pointed down to the ground. 3. Slides past Genesis to use his coat to pull herself up and strike him from behind.

The large audience erupted into cheer as the match got started, everyone jumping up to their feet and cupping their hands about their mouths as encouragement was directed into the center of the arena from every side of the Coliseum. Both Genesis' name and Naminé's were shouted out in excitement, as well as various names of certain attacks being yelled out from some of the more hardcore fans of either warrior. Some wanted to see Genesis use a Dancing Sword while others beckoned Naminé to summon more of those white creatures. It was an amazing sound to experience and an ever greater feeling for Genesis himself to be a part of this all, a means of entertainment for the masses to help them forget about the troubles in their lives. Sure, he said that himself several times, possibly during each and every time he set foot within this Coliseum, but it felt true to the Crimson SOLDIER. For once in a long time, people admired him once more for doing what he did best. The only concern that was bothering the Crimson Commander however, was the matter of his opponent.
Naminé was a friend and it did not give the auburn-haired man any joy at the thought of potentially hurting her during this Tournament. Granted that it came with the package at the end of the day. This was a tournament where fighting took place. Injuries would occur and one of these two warriors today would be losing this fight. The only trouble was who wanted to win more? Genesis was already a two times champion here within these hallowed walls and he was determined to make it back to the top for a third victory. There was only one other person within the walls of the Coliseum who had obtained such a feat as Genesis himself did, and that was the Key to Everything, Sora. His name was etched upon the top of all the old tournament rosters, bar two. It was time that someone else took the spotlight and Genesis was going to give every ounce of energy he had to achieve this! That meant having to go through Naminé here, whom had already taken a light cut to her side after failing to determine the length of the Crimson Rapier held within Genesis' hand. It was not a serious cut by the look of it, one that would not hinder her ability to fight in the slightest.
"I cannot afford to lose here..." Genesis spoke up as he finished opening the gap between himself and the girl in the white dress. His sharp blue eyes watched as little Naminé readied herself to strike out. Had she gotten stronger since their last match together? Due to the fact that she now held a Keyblade within her hands, could Genesis expect the blonde-haired girl to share the same power as Roxas and Sora now? Sora was only a stick-figure himself, one look at him and you'd never think he held as much power as he did, a perfect example of never to judge a book by it's cover. Was Naminé the same? She looked fragile and innocent as always... was there now a terrible, powerful spirit within her that held untold carnage? Genesis' friendly and warm expression had slowly shifted away, being replaced with a more stoic and concentrated look. His mako-infused eyes watched as little Naminé made her move, running forth with her Keyblade across her body as if she were going to attack. Genesis shifted himself accordingly, his right arm raising up very slowly as if he were leaving an opening for the Keybarer to attack in.
Not expecting little Naminé to duck and slide across the ground past him, Genesis took a step forwards and quickly threw out his sword arm, sending a blur of crimson past Naminé's head as she dodged under his strike, the razor sharp blade must have been a paper width away from hitting her. That was when the Crimson Champion felt a tug behind him, a sharp force pulling back on his coat that tightened about his shoulders and hauled him backwards. Genesis was naturally heavier then Naminé, but it was thanks to the speed at which she slid past him that aided in pulling the auburn-haired man off balance. "...??!!" Stepping back behind him with his left leg, Genesis caught his balance before he could tumble over and possibly fall onto Naminé. At that point, a sharp pain hit the center of the SOLDIER's back, causing him to change direction swiftly and end up falling forwards. Picking his left foot back up and stepping forwards this time, Genesis again managed to catch his balance before falling down face first onto the floor. With Genesis' backwards momentum combined with the opposite direction of Naminé's Keyblade strike, the teeth of her weapon succeeded in tearing through the tough leather material of his coat and scratched three clean slices across the shoulder blades of the Crimson Champion.
Still feeling the pull on the back of his coat from the young woman behind him, Genesis looked over his right shoulder before moving his head and glancing under his left arm, trying to get a look at where his opponent was standing. The cunning little girl was in a clever position, away from the long reach and dangerous blade of the Rapier. Were Genesis to turn around, the girl was bound to follow and stay hidden behind him. Back there, she could attack as much as she liked and there'd be nothing the SOLDIER First Class could do about it. Tch! I could summon a Clone and play her game... but I really don't want to hurt her... Genesis thought to himself as he looked over his right shoulder once more, trying to get a line on sight on the girl in the white dress. Some impressed comments were coming from the audience as well as a little laughter at Genesis' expense. To Gaia with it! This is a Tournament! People are going to get hurt here regardless of what happens! A stern expression spread across Genesis' face as he looked back ahead of him, watching the empty spot before him where Naminé should be.
After a second, the SOLDIER First Class brought up his left arm before his chest where his fingers flexed as if they were gripping an invisible ball. The leather glove on his hand creaked softly as the material tightened about his grip. An instant later and a fiery purple flame appeared within the SOLDIER's grasp. Suddenly crouching down on one knee, Genesis thrust his palm down onto the floor, casting his Shadow Flare
spell. Without warning, a large black and purple flame burst out of the ground directly underneath Naminé's feet, threatening to blow her into the sky if she didn't move away from it. If the young woman did move away to avoid the first flame, she'd find that a second explosion of Shadow Flare would follow her, again appearing right beneath her feet. This would continue five times in total, each purple and black explosion of fire following the Keybarer where she decided to stand. If in the event that Naminé was thrown into the air from the first Shadow Flare, the rest of the spell would attempt to 'juggle' her until the spell died out after five explosions. If the blonde-haired Keybarer was persistent on keeping her grasp upon the Crimson SOLDIER, Genesis smirked as he decided to do something about it. Continuing to smirk to himself as he stood back upright, his back visibly burnt slightly from being so close to the first explosion of Shadow Flare, the Crimson Commander shifted his left arm once more, this time, brining his fingers up to his forehead. After a second of silence and concentration from Genesis, the Crimson SOLDIER suddenly threw his left arm out horizontally to his side, summoning his massive black angel wing from out his left shoulder. Without pausing for reaction, Genesis flexed his knees and jumped up vertically into the air, his wing beating once that propelled him up high into the sky. If little Naminé was intent on holding on, lets hope she had a tight grip! [/blockquote] ------------------------------ -=Damage=-Three clean cuts across the top of his back, all bleeding slowly. The exposed skin of his back burnt slightly from Shadow Flare. -=Actions=-1. Genesis swung a fast Rapier strike to try and hit Naminé as she ducked past him. 2. Keeping his back to Naminé, Genesis cast Shadow Flare to try and force her to either move or to release her grip on his coat. 3. Genesis summoned his Wing and took to the sky as a second attempt to make Naminé let go if Shadow Flare failed. -=Cool Downs=-Shadow Flare - 2 Posts. Swinging his left arm before himself, a small black/purple flame appears within the palm of Genesis' hand, which he then thrusts down towards the ground. Upon impact 5 large black with dark purple aura flame-like explosions erupt out of the ground one after the other, following the opponent accurately upon which the spell is cast. Genesis is temporally open to attack while this spell is cast, mainly when he kneels down to press his palm against the floor.

Naminé held on to Genesis’s coat as he did is recovery. She thought about what she had seen him do before. How he took a moment of silence and the words he spoke about not being able to afford to lose. It made her think about what it was the drove Genesis. He had something he was fighting for. What did she have? Why did she fight? Unlike the other she had meet she seemed to have chosen the path she walked now. She knew of Kingdom Hearts, the creatures that inhabited to universe, and other worlds from the get go. It was something she was born with. She knew others that fought to get back home again. She had no home to get back too. There were those who fought to rule or destroy the worlds. She didn’t care for that power and by destroying the worlds she would be all alone. And there was those who had no choose in their fate. She did have a choice. She could have just stayed in her white room or did what she was told to do by organization back then. She would have never raised a hand to fight it that had happened. So why? Why was she here? What did she have to fight for?
Dwelling on these matters wasn’t going to give her an answer. So she would fight….fight for an answer and a purpose in life. She had come too far to turn back now. Even if she did turn back she had this sensation that a lot of people would be disappointed in her. Naminé looked up at the back of the amber colored hair that was Genesis. “He would be disappointed to know what I was thinking. Wouldn’t he?” She thought.
A jerk and a looseness in the red coat told Naminé that Genesis was about to move. She as something purple appeared in his hand. She looked curiously from under his arm. Something wasn’t right. As the man kneeled down to thrust his hand at the ground, the memory witch let go of the coat but lunged her over him wrapping her right arm around his waist with that hand around the hilt of the blade and the other arm also completing the waist wrap and grabbing on to the pole near the teeth of the blade so she didn’t fly up into the air. It looked like a little girl begging her father not to leave her. She clung to the man as close as she could knowing she most likely wasn’t fast enough to keep a head of the blasts and if she was going down she was taking him with her.
Pain shot through Naminé’s body. She had to hold on though. She couldn’t let go. She felt like she was going to blackout. Something was clouding her mind. She could transform into someone with wings and fly out of there. She could forfeit the match…She could….she could…………..
“Count the blasts.” She suddenly thought. The thought and counting gave her the courage to hold on and finish what she had started. “1...it will be over soon…2…he wants you to give up…..3….no…he wants to see how far you’ve come….4…..You want to see how far you have come. That there is more to you then an empty shell. You do this because it makes you feel human. The pain, emotions, the victory or defeat…5.” Once the 5th blast passed her grip on Genesis would slip and she would stumbled backward when she noticed that Genesis was in the air. She caught her balance and looked up at him. One, she was lucky she had let go or she would have been up there at his mercy. At least down on the ground she would have a better chance of dodging. Two, he was in the air and she had nothing to get to him. Three, She knew with the pain she was in and how disoriented she was it would be hard for her to aim. She needed a wild card that she didn’t have to worry about aim or the fact that he was in the air while she regained her stamina.
Naminé pointed her Keyblade to the sky. “THUNDER!” She called out. This magic didn’t need to be aimed to hit since several bolt showered the enemy and since it came from the sky there was no need to worry about how far up the opponent was.
Actions 1. Clings to Genesis to use is attack on him as well as her 2. Uses Thunder on Genesis Powers used: Thunder- Naminé raises her Keyblade, strange light surrounds the tip of the blade, and several bolts of lightning rain down from the sky all over field. Anyone in the way will get electrocuted dealing minor damage.
After being in several battles Thunder type spells were used more often against the young Nobody. She experienced this over and over again and now has learned how to do it herself. She finally fully can cast the spell with her Keyblade after seeing how to do it when Sora use it against her in the tournament.

While it was in every intention of the SOLDIER First Class to deal as little damage to this girl as possible, she being a friend and only appearing in the image of an innocent young woman, it would appear that the girl in the white dress had the opposite intention. Where she lacked in physical strength, she certainly made up for in her cunning. First taking hold of his coat to prevent him from turning and attacking and then by holding onto him tightly to share the damage caused from the Shadow Flare spell. It was slightly annoying to face an opponent such as this. Normally everyone he crossed swords with here straight up power houses who used brute strength over using their brains. It was sort of contagious as well. While Genesis tried to keep things fresh and mixed up, it usually came down to who had the most strength in their blows. In this current situation, the Crimson SOLDIER clearly had more then enough power to crush the Keybarer before him, the only problem standing between that idea was the fact that he actually needed to hit little Naminé in the first place.
Genesis wasn't entirely unsuccessful in that regards. His Rapier had sliced into her side and she too had taken a good chuck of the damage caused from Shadow Flare. The auburn-haired man was hurt too cause of her dirty tactics, but after he finally escaped to the air on his own, he was sure he had the advantage. Any attacks this girl would send up at him would easily be spotted, thus would make dodging, blocking or even redirecting them back at the Keybarer all the more easier. The SOLDIER First Class took a moment to recover himself, his back stinging subtly from the Keyblade strike mixed with the burns of the Shadow Flare. He brought his left arm up over his head, arm bent slightly. A crack escaped his shoulder as he rotated it about in a circle, followed by a second snap coming from his neck as he tilted his head from side to side, all the while keeping his glowing blue eyes focused upon Little Naminé below him for any sign of attack coming his way. She wants to play dirty, huh? Genesis pondered to himself as he took the advantage of his height above the arena to think of some tactics.
Movement came from below him and Genesis' trained eyes watched as the female Keybarer took hold of her Keyblade and thrust the weapon into the air over her hair. There was no way she could reach him with physical attacks from this distance, so she much have been using... "Magic?!" Genesis spoke aloud, his face turning stern as his eyes narrowed, his brow tightening. It was now a race against time! Could the auburn-haired man release his own spell in time before Naminé cast hers? An experienced warrior and mage verses a possible first time Keybarer? As quickly as he could move, Genesis brought his left arm up before him, his fingers cupping about an imaginary object, much the same as when he used Shadow Flare. Instead of a fiery sphere appearing though, Genesis clenched his hand into a fist, causing a light blue aura to wash over himself. Just in time as well, for the instant the Crimson SOLDIER had cast Magic Defence
upon himself, a flash of light from the skies above forced a wave of white light to cover the entire arena for the blink of an eye. Echoing claps of thunder boomed throughout the Coliseum, bolts of lightning tumbling from the skies around the Crimson Commander. It appeared the spell was designed to hit multiple targets, for several bolts of lightning missed Genesis completely on every side. A handful of them did strike the SOLDIER First Class, however, their power was visibly seen striking the light blue aura Genesis had cast upon himself. His face still winced with pain, but it was more like being pricked by a pin over having the full force of a lightning strike coming down upon him. As the final bolt fell, a loud echo of moving wind indicated that Genesis had beat his wing and was on the move. Turning himself about so he faced the ground below, Genesis' mako-infused eyes noticed that Naminé was still hurt from the Shadow Flare. Didn't all Keybarers have healing spells of some kind? Regardless, a sound powerful beat of the massive black wing caused Genesis to plummet down to the ground, the pull of gravity increasing his speed further. Rocketing down towards the female Keybarer with such speed that he looked like a missile careering towards it's target, Genesis tucked his legs into his body at the last moment, flipping himself around in a forward somersault to add even more momentum to his attack. As he rounded himself, Genesis brought his Rapier up over his head and held the hilt with both hands. As his feet slammed into the ground, Genesis unleashed a roar of power, shouting as loud as he could as he poured every ounce of strength he had into his arms, swinging the crimson Rapier down in a vertical strike towards the top of Naminé's head. There was so much power in Genesis' strike that when the Rapier hit the floor, the ground beneath and all around the LOVELESS Quoter, cracked in every direction, splintering the solid arena floor tiles into shrapnel. This kicked up a cloud of dust that swallowed the auburn-haired man whole, but it was swiftly blown away with another beat of Genesis' large black wing. The wing beat wasn't only to create a gust of wind to shift the dust, but to propel the JENOVA Cell infected SOLDIER straight for Naminé. As he neared her, Genesis unleashed another attack, his eyes full of determination and concentration. It was clear he had enough of the games Naminé was playing and it was time to reveal what had made him the two times champion of the Coliseum! After clearing and escaping the dust cloud, the Quoter of LOVELESS flew across the ground straight for his Keybarer opponent. With Rapier in hand, Genesis swung the long, slender blade diagonally at Naminé's chest from right to left. Bringing the weapon back up, he continued his assault, swinging diagonally a second time to Naminé's chest, left to right. Planting both his feet firmly upon the floor, Genesis twisted his hips as raised up his Rapier before him, thrusting the blade forwards in three powerful stabs, two of the thrusts aimed for each of Naminé's shoulders with the third aimed for her stomach. Finished off his Dancing Sword attack, Genesis jumped forwards towards little Naminé. Bringing the Rapier up over his head, the Crimson SOLDIER turned the weapon upside down before he plunged the blade into the floor, a shock wave bursting out from the SOLDIER First Class in all directions, potentially knocking the female Keybarer away should she still be standing too close. Taking a deep breath through his nose, holding it for a second, then releasing it through his mouth, Genesis stood back up and looked out to see what had become of his opponent. He brought his Rapier up defensively now, his feet shifting apart to steady his stance. [/blockquote] ------------------------------ -=Damage=-Three clean cuts across the top of his back, all have stopped bleeding now. All sides of his body are burnt from the Shadow Flare. Further minor burns on his back and shoulders from the Thunder spell. -=Actions=-1. Genesis cast Magic Defence to reduce the power of Thunder. 2. Falling to the ground quickly, Genesis unleashed a powerful overhead strike upon Naminé. 3. Closing the gap between himself and Naminé, Genesis used Dancing Sword, a six-hit combo against her. -=Cool Downs=-Shadow Flare - 2 Posts. Magic Defence - 4 Posts -- 2 Post Duration. A simple spell used to protect the caster against magical attacks. Clenching his left hand into a fist, a flash of pale blue light covers Genesis for a moment before he is given a faint matching aura that indicates the spell has been cast upon himself. He can also cast it upon ally if he so desires. Pretty much every type of magical spell has its power reduced but too many powerful, high grade spells can easily overload the aura and cause it to collapse. Dancing Sword - 2 Posts. One of Genesis more favoured sword attacks. Drawing himself back a step, the only sign that this move is coming, Genesis launches himself forwards into a fast paced 6 hit combo, slashing his Rapier swiftly from the right and then from the left followed by stabbing forwards in three quick thrusts before finally leaping up into the air and plunging his sword into the ground, causing a small eruption of magic that could knock away any enemy that stands too close to the assault.

Genesis may have been the one with the wing, but it was Naminé that was winging it. She had no really idea how to sword fight properly let alone using a Keyblade. Most of her Keyblade moments were simple swings or defending herself. And the occasional common spell…and she only knew one. But as long as she could figure out ways to use her opponents magic against him she should make more effective hits…or the very least are able to dodge it. After all Genesis was in the sky and it would take a while for his spells to reach her…right? Naminé couldn’t deny that Shadow Flare was one nasty spell. She need time to catch her breath so she sent her one and only Keyblade driven spell at Genesis. It was more for a distraction then anything but if any hit then that would be a plus. After the spell was in motion she closed her eyes and took a few deep breaths. There were burn marks lining the edges of her dress and on her skin. The burns on skin stung as she inhaled. As she exhaled she let the pain slip away with the breath. She had no way of healing herself until she could get to the healing waters after the fight. She was going to have to remain this way until the match was either over or she collapsed from too much pain, which ever happened first. Naminé could hear the fire die down and she opened her eyes to find Genesis again just the last couple of bolts tried to hit. She noticed that something was keeping the bolts at bay and a strange aura was around the man. She tilted her head curiously at this. “A spell that could protect you from spells. That was something that would be worth learning.” Naminé thought as some of her burns still pained her. Naminé watched as Genesis started his decent on her. It didn’t look like he was going to use a spell. In fact he was either going to use himself or his weapon. With his speed the way it was the little Nobody would stand a chance to do a simple block, but on the Brightside if she timed it just right she could jump out of the way in time. If she moved to slow she would be hit, and if she moved to fast then Genesis might have enough time to change his direction towards her again. Naminé held her blade as if she was going to block the attack but this was just a precaution incase part of his blade did it. She waited until the man was half way to her before bending her legs and jumping back with the blade still guarding her head. Dust arose with the fall of his sword and dissipated with the flap of the young man’s wing. Maybe it was just her but he seemed annoyed. This didn’t seem like a friendly fight anymore and this scared Naminé... She was pretty sure this was what scared was The Crimson fighter flew the girl. She placed her blade vertically with the teeth of the blade facing Genesis. The blade ran up and down the center of her body as she started to walk backwards with each swing of the man’s sword. The first and second strikes were kept at bay with the positioning of her blade. The two metals hit twice. However, his third strike hit. His Rapier pushed its way through her left shoulder completely. The young girl let out a brutal scream one that you would never expect to come out of such a small body and a quiet girl. She looked petrified and the only think holding her up was the weapon of her opponent. Once the sword was removed Naminé fell to the ground. The other stab missed her head by inches as she fell and the one that would have been to her belly had missed her completely since she was already on the ground. Naminé lay as a bloody heap on the floor. The last strike she watched motionless and soundless as the Rapier was driven into the ground only inches from her. The shock wave sent her flying halfway across the arena. Her blade that she no longer had a tight grip on flew out of the ring. Naminé stayed where she was for a moment. Her eyes were blank as she tried not to feel. She didn’t want to feel this pain but she didn’t want to give up. Another attack didn’t seem to follow so she tried to sit up. She failed a few times before she brought herself into to sit on her knees. Her right hand grasped her left shoulder. Her bang fell over her eyes and the visible part of her face seemed blank. She promised him that she would do her best. Was this her best? Was this all she was capable of? . She didn’t want to disappoint Genesis or anyone else. Maybe that is why he was the way he was…because she had disappointed him. Something inside Naminé was coming to the surface. She didn’t want to lose, not like this. She wanted to at least say she tried and mean it; she couldn’t do this alone, not yet anyway. Naminé’s head slowly rose to look at Genesis. There was fire in her eyes now. It was a light in the darkness that she was feeling and it was burning bright. As if she has summoned her sketchbook a single white piece of paper appears and falls towards the ground. It tornados into a hundred swirling pages and surround Naminé. As the pages all meet the ground what seems to be a man in a black suit appears in front of the young girl. He gives a whole new meaning to the words “blank expression. He has a head but no face if carved on to it. It turns to face Naminé and she stares at it while she held the wound on her arm. “Blank Page?” She said. That was what a voice inside her head was calling it. The creature nodded to the girl and turned to face Genesis. As he completed his turn he performed something that Naminé would soon know as World Adaptation. The Blank Page became the 3 headed Hydra. It screamed and held all three heads straight and stiff as it looked down upon Genesis. Naminé wasn’t alone anymore. Actions:1. Jumps out of the way 2. Verical block of two sticks 3. Summons Blank Page as he performs World Adaptation. Blank Page- Every Artist’s greatest fear is a Blank Page. The fear of never being able to fill the emptiness consumes their very minds and souls. Now the greatest fear of an artist is about to become her greatest strength. For a blank page opens up a door to worlds of possibilities. Race: Nobody HP- 5 hits before he is defeated. The cooldown of the opponent’s power being used against Blank Page is equal to the damage dealt to Blank Pages HP. (Cooldown- 5 posts until he has enough power to recover and can be summoned again) (Duration- 3 posts. If Blank Page is failed to be defeated then he is dismissed on after out for 3 of his summoner's posts.) Work Class: Mime Face claim- i229.photobucket.com/albums/ee4/h....son-d2xxs71.pngSummoning: Naminé rips a page from her sketchbook and it falls to the ground. As the page falls; it tornados into a hundred swirling pages. As the pages all meet the ground Blank Page appears. Like the Dusks and Creeper Summons Blank Page can be summoned to take hits for Naminé and attack. He is an abnormally tall and slender man with no face of his own. He has long arms that he uses in the same ways the Dusks do, slashing at enemies. He can move fast to attack, so fast even that you never really catch him actually walking or running, he just there one moment and somewhere else the next. Ability: Mimic- Blank Page has the ability to copy a Summons form and powers. Right now he is only able to Mimic Sora’s summons. All Summons Rules, Cooldowns and Durations apply. As of right now he can only turn into ONE of Sora’s summons every time Blank Page is summoned. He will only use the Kingdom Hearts power of the summon. (Cooldown-once per every time he is summoned) Command for Blank page to use his ability is similar to Sora’s summons in the game. Naminé hold a hand where her heart should be and utters, “Please give me strength.” Then Blank Page turns into a summon that she is thinking of. World Adaptation- Blank Page can become a creature that is native to the world he is on to aid his summoner or just blend in. This doesn’t included Humans, Main Characters (Example would be if he was in the pridelands he couldn’t become Simba but he could be a lion or some other animal, or he couldn’t become Red 13 in a FF7 world but he can be the same species as Red 13), or FF summons. He can’t be anything else that is not native to the world he is on. Example would be if he was in Atlantica he couldn’t be a lion from the Pridelands and so on and so forth) He can switch out of this form to activate another power if he wishes too. So he can go from this to using Mimic. Attacks:The Physical weapons and strength of said creature. (Cooldown- Two posts. Duration- Two post) Cooldowns:Thunder- 1/1 Blank Page –not in effect yet World Adaptation- not in effect yet Blank Page HP: 5/5

Genesis has won the battle and will proceed
Reviews:
Damage Dealt Namine clearly took more damage than Genesis did. They were both equal towards the end of the fight, Gen stabbing her in the stomach, Namine slashing him across the shoulders, then both of them taking damage from Shadow Flare explosions at close range. The only tiebreaker after Gen reduced Naminé's Thunder with Magic Defense was when he got her with the third slash of Dancing Sword, effectively crippling her and sending her to the ground. She was a good sportswoman here, so I am rewarding Naminé as the winner of this category. Realism Both were fairly realistic here. I don't really have anything to add about how they weren't realistic in their actions, but both are to be commended for both taking and giving damage as they did in character. But there has to be a winner of this category. If anything, because of the more clever fighting style and he seemed to be taking the lead in his fight instead of just reacting to his opponent, I award this to Genesis.Creativity The Shadow Flares were a good idea of Gen's, but it became a double-edged sword for him. Flying with his Angel Wing was a good idea however to shake Naminé off his coat, even if she did let go pre-emptively. Naminé had the smart idea of baseball-sliding past Gen and using his coat plus his weight against him, but this turned around when Gen took to the air and blocked her magic efforts. She could have used more manipulation and the fact she was a girl/a familiar figure like Aerith against Gen, but instead at the last round summoned Blank Page turning into Hydra who didn't attack. The fact that Hydra can be defeated by flying up and cutting all it's heads up, plus it's magic breath puts it at a serious disadvantage against Genesis, she could have had Blank Page turn into something more effective like Cerberus, Fire/Wind Titan or even Hades himself. This fact coupled with the above, along with the fact Gen has healing spells and Naminé doesn't, and I'm gonna have to say the overall winner at the end of this fight would have to be Genesis

Damage Dealt I read this and Namine took a beating. It's rather obvious when you get closer to the end of the battle. GenesisRealism I like that Genesis took the opening hits from Namine. I also like that Genesis was realistic with the Shadow Flare. He was really fair with the damage. I think that Namine might have lost grip. Genesis got hit with the lightning. I'd think Namine should have felt some of that. But that's probably just me. Overall, I think Genesis got this part. GenesisCreativity Heh, Genesis going easy on her because he doesn't want to hurt her.... But that's not creative. I just wanted to put that out there because it amused me a little. Overall I would think it was rather neutral and I didn't see a clear winner. I like that Namine tried to think outside the box with the thunder on the flying Genesis. I'll give this section to Namine then. Overall Winner Genesis
[/blockquote]
