The creature was displeased with the attacks used on him. It had successfully knocked the bird out of the air, however the bird managed to throw a pretty big rock at him. Though, that was not enough to take the elephant's full attention.
He was busy attacking the lion. Though, the lion had moved in time and a monkey had taken it's place. A glow had covered the party, but the elephant didn't comprehend what that meant. It simply wished to destroy them and move on.
The elephant bones took particular attention to Zidane as he jumped on it's tusks and attacked it. The creature let out a loud sound as it flicked it's boney trunk back and forth along with it's head to hit the monkey. That's when it felt pressure on it's back leg. The lion had taken a bite out of him.
The creature ignored whether it had hit the monkey or not, kicking it's back legs and stomping about a bit to shake it off. That's when it jumped, not paying attention to see if the other had fallen off or not. It jumped up and crashed back down on the earth, causing a shock wave that would not effect anyone in the air. Though, it would knock any of it's riders off of it.
Hit with Stonera. Hit with swords. Bitten. - 3HP
Attempts to hit Zidane with his truck, then attempts to whip. After that, uses 'Jumping Shockwave'
She had seen the vulture fall down, running towards it, looking at it with slight worry, "Hey are you okay?" she said, shaking the crow a bit with her nose to see if it's okay, even if it did look a bit unfriendly because of the nature of its kind, it did still help them to fend off whatever this creature is. Looking up, she saw just in time how the lion bravely bit on the Elephant's leg, his jaws closing in on the rampaging creature's structure, earning a howl from it. The monkey now climbed on its back all the way to the tusk, hitting at it with his bone daggers. Rosa figured she couldn't just stand and watch and she pulled herself into a sprint, towards their foe with her fangs bared.
Heck, she also had teeth, why not put them to good use.
As she was running towards the elephant she noticed it grumble and shake then bend its knees and jump, quite a height for an animal it's size before falling back to the parched land, the shockwaves from its jump highly visible against the scattering of dusts. Rosa had never been so thankful in her life for Float.
Once the dust subsides she again went on her way to pounce at the Elephant, flicking her gaze over to see if the lion and monkey were alright before jumping up and fastening her jaws onto the monster's front, left leg, growling at the bones that snagged on her teeth.
------- Actions: Ran towards the Elephant, stopped when it jumped Pounced on it then bit it on its left front leg.
Spells used: Protect: (on Cloud) Duration: 1 posts Cooldown: 3 posts (2 posts after duration)
[atrb=style, background: #111111; border: 5px solid #99983E; border-radius: 10px; opacity: 0.8;][style=font: 7pt arial; line-height: 11px; letter-spacing: 1px; padding: 7px; text-align: justify; color: #ABABAB; width: 400px;]With people... or animals... shouting and the fox coming to him, the Heartless wasn't too sure how to respond. He did launch his attack, so he figured that showed enough of being okay. "I'm alright," he said as he flapped his wings, pushing with his talons himself off the ground, "just a bit ruffled."
The vulture took back to the skies, there he attempted to create another weapon. Around his talons swirls of Darkness appeared as he watched his newfound allies bite and attack the skeletal elephant, what sort of strange tale sprung to life? In one of his talons was now the Reinforced Gun, but before he really bothered firing it, he watched the elephant jump up and cause a shockwave.
The waves that rang through the air sent him spinning and the vulture slided back onto the ground due to the wind from the shockwave. This is crap, he thought to himself as when he found himself stable on the ground again, he lifted on talon and, while having trouble to use firearms with his legs, he started to fire some bullets at the skeletal elephant.
Actions Glided down while working to get harmlessly back on the ground with the shockwave happening. Fired his Reinforced Gun he created at the skeletal elephant from his talons.
The Cries of an Item Spiked Chain: One post cooldown. d3 ~ 1: Reinforced Gun: Four post active.
The Cries of a Spell Stonera: Useable again. [/style]
In hindsight this was a really reckless idea! That flailing trunk had swung right for him! The young warrior cried out in a surprised chee when he side was viciously struck and he was sent flying off the monstrous beast. The force was enough to knock the wind from him, but as he landed he managed to spin and twist his body. He landed on all fours, in a full crouch. He kept steady grip on his daggers before he stood and held his hand to his side. He was thankful for his natural acrobatics. This body made it, oddly, easier. Shit. He could not grow used to this. He was sure it was the Mist causing it. His eyes widened as the thunderous bunch of bones leaped into the air and piled into the the ground forcefully. Well that eliminated all hope of grabbing advantage over the beast.
"My tail..." He groaned as he pushed to his feet.
Now that he was down below he had a different vantage over the rampaging risen. His azure eyes traced along as the flyer had once again taken to the skies. The two, larger predators, seemed to have at the walking crypt. A mischievous glint came over the monkey's eye. The miniature mammal dropped into a run, already used to the body, that moved with speed and agility. He was the smallest of the group, so why not take advantage of it? He could have run, but that would have left these fellows in jeopardy, and they did not seem all that bad. His target was in sight: the Skelephant's ribcage! The dapper, long-tailed miscreant would attempt to launch himself up and swing along the rib cage like a wild monkey through the branches of the Savannah. If he managed to properly drag himself along the monkey would place himself to lunge at the same leg the larger lion was taking a bite out of and would make a reach to stab and lodge the bone dagger into its joint.
Action: Getting up from the knock back. Attempts to "monkey-bar" across the rib cage and attempt to stab its leg joint.
Cloud's jaws clamped down tightly around the fibula of the skeletal elephant. He tried his best to see if he could remove the bone from its body as it tried to dislodge by moving his head about while biting down on the bone. Cloud figured that if he could just take this bone out, the elephant would lost its ability to walk and stomp about. Cloud would pick apart every bone if he had to. He gnawed on the bone; having his claws clamp onto the bone he grabbed. This, of course, grabbed the attention of the undead elephant. This gargantuan creature then began to trample and toss about, kicking it's hind legs into the air. This surprised Cloud immensely, causing Cloud to hold on for dear life. Cloud hoped that no one was in the way of the rampaging elephant. Cloud tried with all of his heart to stay on the elephant; he thought that the rampaging elephant would be his own undoing, though.
Cloud figured that with all of its tossing about, the strength of the animal along with Cloud's hold on the bone might just dislodge the bone from the hind leg that Cloud clamped himself onto. It was then, to Cloud's surprise that the elephant jumped high into the air. Once Cloud found himself going up along with the elephant, as soon as they came down, Cloud released its bite on the hind leg of the elephant. Cloud then found himself going down at a high speed and just before he came down, a few of his swords had come out from his back sheath. The First Tsurugi and two short switchblade attachments had come out from their sheaths. Cloud's eyes widened at the sight of them in the air, knowing full well that they were obviously not supposed be there. Cloud came down to the earth but due to the spell that was cast onto him, no damage was taken. All he experienced was the blast of smoke and dust covering the atmosphere due to the heavy landing of the undead elephant.
Cloud came to his four feet and saw everyone else working to take down the elephant. Cloud had the initial idea of keeping this animal away from them but it would seem that they wanted in on the fight as well. He watched the fox jump for the elephant's front leg and looked up to see the vulture, with what seemed to be a gun, fire at the elephant. The monkey that he talked to earlier was putting in work, too, attempting to mess with one of the joints of the elephant's leg. It would seem the monkey wished to halt this animal's rampage but taking out its joints, thus getting rid of the animal's ability to move. Cloud then took a few steps but then looked to the three swords that feel out of their sheaths. He looked to the First Tsurugi and walked over toward it.
Cloud looked to the demonic elephant and knew that he could bite and cast magic all he liked but his real strength lied in his mighty sword. Cloud picked up the First Tsurugi with his mouth, biting down on the red handle tightly enough so that the blade can be held still. Cloud turned to the elephant with the First Tsurugi in his mouth, given his situation, Cloud had to hold it horizontally by his teeth, with the blade coming out to Cloud's right side. Cloud growled and ran past the elephant and stood in front of it. He skidded to a halt and leaped into the air to get up to the elephant's eye level of vision. He charged his mighty blade, having his power surge through the blade. With the Mako and Jenova Cells running high in his blood, Cloud did a quick 360 degree spin in the air. He spun his animal body and in turn, the blade he held by the handle in his mouth, launching one of his favorite moves, Blade Beam, launching a wave of energy at the face of the elephant. He landed swiftly on his face and ran to the right of the elephant and past it, hoping to draw his attention to help his allies' attack hit whatever mark they wanted it to hit upon the elephant... Actions Used:
Action 1: Cloud hangs onto the elephant as it launches itself into the air but lets go when they start to come down, resulting in Cloud dropping to the ground later than the elephant and the falling out of three of his Fusion Swords.
Action 2: Cloud picks up the First Tsurugi which dropped to the ground and runs to the front of the elephant.
Action 3: Cloud jumps and spins 360 degrees, while launching Blade Beam at the face of the elephant, and runs to the elephant's right and on past it to draw its attention.
Blade Beam: Cloud gets his power to surge through his blade, after that he swings his blade toward his enemy from afar, giving his enemy a wave of energy that can cut through almost anything. ((3 post cooldown))
Firaga: Cloud can use his Fire Materia to cast the strongest fire magic attack he has. With this magic attack, he can shoot three fireballs. However, they explode on contact with anything and they do spread out in an effort to cut off the opponent’s escape. ((1 post left))

The creature had gotten everything free and clear and wasn't being attacked. The creature calmed for a moment, starting to move towards Pride rock when it was bitten. It started to walk in circle at the attack. It was frustrated it was being stopped once more. It needed a moment to recharge from jumping. This bite was followed shortly by being pelted with metal. The elephant was not happy about that.
It was debating using one of it's abilities when the monkey started to prod at it's joints. It swung it's truck towards the monkey, hurting itself. It would need another plan. The creature stopped moving for a bit when suddenly geysers shot out of the ground in a few random spots. A couple near Rosa, one under itself, and a few near the other attackers. The hot steam geysers would burn the targets a bit if it hit them. When they stopped, the spot would disappear and they would open in other places. It injured the elephant a bit as well.
The group would need to be wary of it's steps.
When the blade beam hit it dead on, shattering the skeleton. It fell to the side, letting out a painful cry. It hit the ground and laid still for a moment. That's when the mist began to sparkle and the bones quickly reformed. It was still injured, but the pieces went back together at the least.
The elephant then began to charge something energy based in it's tusks, ignoring the part for the moment. The group may want to stear clear.
Bitten by Rosa, Shot by a few bullets, Stabbed by Zidane, and hit by Blade Beam.
1 - Hits himself trying to injure Zidane. 2 - Summoned the steaming geyesers 3 - Reanimated it's bones
[atrb=style, background: #111111; border: 5px solid #99983E; border-radius: 10px; opacity: 0.8;][style=font: 7pt arial; line-height: 11px; letter-spacing: 1px; padding: 7px; text-align: justify; color: #ABABAB; width: 400px;]As the vulture tried to get back up in the air, he noted the geisers appearing. Immediately he lift off and tried to avoid it as his tail, that was already demolished in this form, got scorched. Ow... he wasn't too happy with how things were going. The vulture tried to start some... 'evasive flying' in however way he could manage.
While he soared through the air, his talon tried their best to hold the gun and fire it at the elephant, but his talons weren't exactly suited for the weapon. I really wish I had that monkey's body right now, he thought to himself as he was getting really irritated.
Slowly he debated whether he should try another spell. Eh... best to keep it handy, if anything... it'd be best I don't end up berserking... especially in this form... he thought, the annoyance just kept rising and he was really unhappy with his current position and form. As he saw the skeleton charging, he bended off and flew as far away from the front as he could.
Actions Avoided the geyser narrowly. Fired more bullets at the skeleton.
The Cries of an Item Spiked Chain: Useable again. Reinforced Gun: Three posts active. [/style]
This was no good! The thing was taking hits but not going down! "Ke! Bloody hell!" The monkey squeaked out unpleasantly as pure hot water erupted from the ground. He raised his arm to try and cover his face, the steam causing a painful wash of heat to crawl over his features.
The heat passed. He pulled his head out from the ribs after the attempt on his life. He heard a clatter smash when the lion struck the hock of the meandering undead. At that thought his tail shot up. That was it! The beast suddenly collapsed! The force of the lion's blade striking the bony structure likely caused an unstable response. The monkey soon found himself beneath a heavy rubble of bone and dust. Before he was able to respond the elephant seemed to rebuild itself. What was this thing?! He scurried out from under the beast before he became a flat pancake. He bounded toward the male lion and scurried under its legs, chittering all the while.
He looked up to the lion and smirked widely. "That was a good hit, bet another big smack'll get it!" He looked toward the lass who had earlier cast Float on them. "Hey, you got a good hit spell in that arsenal a yours?!" These sorts did not usually like that bright magic white casters often carried.
If it could get them free of this terror for even a short while, it was worth it. He grinned roguishly and made motion to pat the lion's leg, letting it know he would be right behind him if he decided to head after it again. He was good to back the big guy up, never being a direct fighter himself.
Action: Escaped to hide under Cloud. Shouted to Rosa about attacking it. Prepared to backup Cloud.
Cloud gave a smirk as he held onto his mighty sword with his powerful jaws as he ran past the elephant to get behind him. He didn't think that his Blade Beam would hit the monster that hard. He didn't think it would be of any effect. However, when the huge undead elephant hit the ground, he felt a sense of pride that he was still able to fight in this animal form that he was in. As he ran to get behind the undead elephant, he felt...a bit of a burn on his front left leg. Cloud then noticed steam geysers going off everywhere. Cloud didn't care to watch where he was going, he let the adrenaline drive him and now he had this burn on his front left leg that was killing him. On top of that, Cloud found himself being lowered to the ground, due to the fact that female animal's spell had worn off. Cloud wagged his leg a little, trying to let sharp, cold air blow at the burn from him wagging his leg around.
It was then that the monkey that he met earlier came running toward him. He literally sprinted to Cloud and hid under him. Cloud was taken back a little. The monkey was pretty scrappy in the fight to say the least, he made some good smart attacks. He then told Cloud that if he made one good shot like that, it should finish him. Cloud smirked at the monkey but Cloud wasn't so sure that this monster was going to be down for the count at this point. The move that Cloud did was one of his best moves and it still got up...something was clearly going on here. This monster should have been finished by now with all the work that everyone has done. Where did monsters like this always materialize here, how could anyone live in this world?
It was then that the elephant started to act really strange. Energy seemed to be gathering to it...and the female animal was still in there trying to attack the elephant. Cloud didn't quite know what to do but when the monkey let Cloud know that he was down for whatever Cloud decided, that actually lighten the load for Cloud. Cloud still had teammates that he could count on. Rosa was busy attack the leg of the undead monster. Cloud thought quickly and wondered if he could stop the elephant from gaining energy. If they could attack it without hurting the female animal then they could continue on with the attack. Summoning Bahamut ZERO would be too much, and it would hurt his ally but then he got an idea that might disrupt the elephant's growing momentum. Cloud then set aside The First Tsurugi away from himself and the monkey, he then turned and talked to the monkey quickly but clearly...
"Ok...our ally is still in there so we gotta help her somehow. We should attack his back leg joints again. It will throw off the monster's balance and it should distract him. You attack the left...I'll go for the right. I don't know what it's planning but it would appear to be an energy blast of some sort so it will probably shoot out to the front of it so be careful and steer clear from the front of it, but of course, I've seen you out here so you know what to do and what needs to be done. Alright...let's go!", Cloud said and with that, he sprinted for the right back leg of the monster. He sprinted past the right back leg of the undead elephant to get at the kneecap; once Cloud saw the kneecap, he lunged at it and dug his teeth and claws into it as hard as he possibly could without hurting himself. He had hoped that this would work... Actions Used:
Action 1: Cloud runs to get behind the undead elephant
Action 2: Cloud drops The First Tsurugi off to the side
Action 3: Cloud runs past the right back leg of the undead elephant to see the kneecap and he lunged, bit and clawed at the joint of the elephant in order to distract it.
Blade Beam: Cloud gets his power to surge through his blade, after that he swings his blade toward his enemy from afar, giving his enemy a wave of energy that can cut through almost anything. ((2 posts left))
Firaga: Cloud can use his Fire Materia to cast the strongest fire magic attack he has. With this magic attack, he can shoot three fireballs. However, they explode on contact with anything and they do spread out in an effort to cut off the opponent’s escape. ((Ready to use))
Mission Mod has been late on two posts and has technically been removed. You have all been credited with 200 Munny for winning. However, if you would like to complete the mission, you may continue posting with no time penalties. Otherwise, you have 'defeated' the skeleton!
The large skeleton had no idea what the others were doing currently. It was focusing all of it's energy into its next attack. The being had to defeat these and go frighten the others at Pride Rock. It did not know why it had to, but something in its very being was urging it to do so. Seeing something like him would definitely frighten everyone and everything in sight. So, why were these animals not afraid?
A few bullets ricocheted off of his bones, leaving some nasty dents and weakening his structure. It did some damage and distracted the creature briefly. But its main missions was to hit one of the party with this beam he was charging.
The creature was preparing to launch its attack onto the closest party member when it felt unbalanced. Something had attacked his back leg and made him wobble a bit. It moved, attempting to stomp in a circle to get it off it's leg. It let out a loud noise, interrupting its charge. It would need to handle that later.
A geyser opened up where it moved, damaging the creature as it attempted to keep out of the areas where another would open up. Instead, the creature turned, casting a type of Darkness Surge from its mouth. This dark smog of sorts began to float to the ground. It continued for a few moments as he began to spread from its starting point. It would damage anyone that touches it. It then managed to shoot a fireball of sorts up into the sky towards the flying bird. Maybe that would stop him from shooting the skeleton!
Around the party, the thick fog had started to dissipate. The skeleton was weakening and the environment was beginning to reflect this as the creature began to charge its energy attack once more.
Shot at by Whatever, Bitten by Cloud, and damaged by a geyser.
1 - Creates a Darkness Surge. A thick fog lays on the ground for one turn on the field, if touched it damages the enemy. 2 - Casts a fireball on Whatever in an attempt to knock the bird out of the sky and prevent being shot again. 3 - Charging an Energy Strike once more.
CLICK ME! WE MOVED!
After years of fighting, a calm eventually washed over the worlds with the death of the previous threats. However, those walls of peace were all crashing down with the warning of a future threat. Though, the warning comes with much skepticism.
Could every keyblader be destroyed?
We'd like to announce our newest Staff member, Zidane! He has been accepted as out new graphic mod! Congratulations!
