There was word floating around the arena that the Crimson Champion had been beaten by the blue clothed boy by some sort of judges decision. Other then Phil who sort of overlooked the fights to a small degree, Genesis wasn't actually aware that there WERE judges at these events. Merely that it were two people facing off against each other in the middle of the arena and decking it out until only one person was left standing on their feet. Though possibly due to the limitation of time, a factor not important to some individuals out there in the worlds, most of the people, the audience and fans, did have limited time. They grew hungry, tired, restless. Typical humanoid features. So it did make sense at the end of the day and Genesis simply peered into the crystal clear waters of the Healing Fountain in the waiting area for the remaining hopefuls wanting to claim the glory of the champion title. Zidane was still present as were a few other familiar faces. Sora, Naminé, 'Artemis', 'Whatever'. A few unfamiliar faces were present as well and it brought a small smile to the lips of the SOLDIER First Class to see that there were more and more people getting interested in these events, save being the same old warriors entering each and every time.
Cupping his hands together, the soft trickling of the healing waters echoed in the SOLDIER's ears as he slowly dipped his hands into the cold liquid, after removing his gloves of course, before lifting his palms up to his lips. Sipping the refreshing liquid and swilling it about his mouth a little, he closed his eyes and swallowed, almost instantly feeling the mysterious, miraculous effect work on his body. His wounds were healed and he felt his stamina get restored to maximum. Whatever this stuff was, it was amazing. After having his fill of the cool waters, Genesis placed his bare palms onto the rim of the fountain and leaned against it, hunching his shoulders and bowing his head slightly. With eyes still closed, he took a moment to think about some of the images he had witnessed during his past couple of matches. Almost instantly Sephiroth popped up in his thoughts and once more the auburn-haired man found himself questioning The Chosen One's appearance, here of all places. There was no point in repeating the same questions through his mind again when the answers still were not revealing themselves. Flexing his elbows to lower his posture a fraction, Genesis pushed hard on the fountain and forced himself back up onto his feet.
Sand crunched under a leather boot as the SOLDIER First Class whirled around. His bright blue eyes glanced up to the current roster of fighters, some names only now just being struck off. Oddly enough, his name was still present on the lift, no nasty red line scribble down the middle of it. Did that mean he was still competing? But didn't he just lose to the blue clothed boy, Zidane? The chatter from the other fighters in the waiting area soon died down and as Genesis glanced over to see what was causing this, he noticed that a lot of the remaining contenders were heading back out into the arena for their next match. A second glance at the roster of fighters and Genesis' name will still not eliminated from the tournament. As a smirk crept across his lips, Genesis raised his right arm, bringing a fist up before his face. Relaxing his hand, the Crimson Commander pulled on one of his gloves before clenching his hand into a tight fist. "Excellent! This time, I won't hold back!" The Crimson SOLDIER said to himself aloud as he turned and made his way towards his designated gate.
Again the fans were already going wild, even before the Crimson Champion had set foot inside the arena. Cheering and chanting was easily heard through the thick wooden door that the tall SOLDIER stood behind, and he closed his eyes a second time to listen to the noise those people were making, allowing himself a small moment to experience what these tournaments and his fights meant for the people coming to watch him. They adored him, they cheered him on and were their to support him as best they could. Genesis appreciated it, truly he did. The last time he remembered people adoring him was when he had his own fan club back on Midgar, waaaaay back before any of these new worlds revealed themselves. Back before this new form of 'Darkness' swallowed Gaia whole. "I wonder if anyone is still subscribed to Red Leather...?" Genesis asked himself the question, eyes still closed as he finally heard the rattling of the heavy chains slowly start to pull open the wooden door he stood behind. The door creaked loudly under it's own weight as a bright stream of light coming from the arena hit Genesis' boots and slowly started to light up the small waiting area he stood within. "... It'll be nice to check out when I'm next back home."
A deafening roar, an eruption of cheers and screams lifting the non-existent roof off the arena. Heck, even subtle vibrations could be felt through the ground from the noise the fans of the Crimson Commander were making. It was amazing. Who could not enjoy such a sight? Such sounds? Such admiration? Genesis walked out of his waiting area, lifting a hand as he did so and waved to his gathered fans as he always did. Slowly he made his way up the stone steps to the raised fighting platform in the middle of the Coliseum. Perching himself in the very middle, the SOLDIER First Class brought up his right arm to eye level, where he iconicly summoned his long, slender Rapier to his hand by grasping the handle from the middle of a stream of flame. Swinging his weapon down in a wide arc, Genesis sliced the weapon at the floor, a metallic 'CLINK' echoing about the arena. Bringing the weapon up last his left arm then over his head, continuing the circular arc motion, Genesis created a circle of fire with the dying embers of his summoned weapon that soon extinguished itself.
He smirked at the cheers this little show produced and soon enough, he turned about and faced the direction of where he thought his opponent would be emerging from. Genesis' smirk didn't remain though. A stern express replaced the smirk and a hard, cold glare shown clearly through his brightly glowing blue eyes. Enough games. His defeat to Zidane was unacceptable. There would be no more mistakes. No more playing around. Whoever this next opponent was, they were going to feel the full power of the SOLDIER First Class, Genesis Rhapsodos!!

Prepare the weapon, this battle ends when I give in. I lose my head I lose my mind I lose my mind. Time passes by, falls out of sight. And I can't look back I'm losing my fight. Blinded by this light all truth is gone..gone..gone
IN CHARACTER ✗ Embrace your dreams, and no matter what happens, protect your honor as SOLDIER.
Those words raced through Zack's head as he practically sprinted towards the arena. He had one shot left in this tournament, having just barely taken care of well...Terra who had been acting differently. Teh injuries he sustained in that fight had caused him to miss his next match, but seeing as Phil was strict on these rules, it still cost him one of two chances..which was, also a little weird. "Wonder what caused Phil to decide to make this a double elimination tournament." Zack asked aloud as he checked the roster for his opponent, jaw dropping as he read the name.
"Oh no way!" he said gleefully as the name Genesis Rhapsodos appeared before his very eyes. Adrenaline now coursed through every fiber of his body as he began doing squat thrusts in front of the list of names from the excitement. "Come on Phil, that's too easy. I've already beaten him once. A second time is gonna be cinch." However despite his own words, the loud cheering coming from the arena told him that Genesis was likely well known in this world, and rumor had it a Champion of these very tournaments.
"Well Genesis, looks like I'm going to have to dethrone you." said Zack gleefully before he took off towards the arena in a full sprint, heading down through the doorway in the Coliseum Lobby and stepping out into the bright sunlight. Crouching down slightly as he ran, Zack used the momentum gained from his speed to leap into the air and somersault, landing perfectly on both feet in front of Genesis before flashing him a grin and a quick two fingered wave. "Long time no see Genesis." he said as he reached up behind his back and took the Buster Sword in hand, bringing it straight before him with the flat of the blade facing him before resting his head against the cool metal as he took a moment to remember everything Angeal had taught him.
"You and Angeal were close. He used to tell stories about how you two grew up together in Banora." Lifting his head up away from the blade, he glasped the handle with both hands and swing the massive blade until it was up over his shoulder, backside of the blade facing his shoulder while the point was aimed at Genesis. "He taught me that I should embrace my dreams, and that no matter what happened, to protect my honor as SOLDIER. Do you know what my dream is Genesis?"
Without waiting for an answer, Zack continued. "It's to become a hero. I like to think I became one the day I defeated you, however we've been given a rare second chance. So, let's fight...not as rivals or enemies. But as two proud members of SOLDIER. I want to fight with honor, like Angeal would have. So, Genesis, come at me with everything you've got. I'm ready for you." Zack's eyes narrowed then, watching, waiting for the Crimson SOLDIER to make the first move.

The cool air rushing through the arena licked the flames of the cauldrons and torches that dotted the Coliseum, forcing the fiery flames to dance and wave as they joined the playful winds in their eternal journey across the worlds and stars. The soft auburn-hair on Genesis' head also shifted and gently blew across his eyes that were staring with a hard, cold glare at the opposing gate of which his next challenge awaited. His features were as hard as the stare within his bright blue eyes. Stern, gaunt, determined. Even when his opponent did reveal himself as the one and only Zack Fair, pupil of his dearest friend Angeal Hewley, Genesis' emotions didn't shift. He just stared at the spiky-haired Puppy in silence, watching him with a 'death glare' throughout his monologuing. Zack tended to talk a lot, waffling on about pointless things he had said time and time again. Angeal this, Angeal that, honour, pride, SOLDIER. In fact, this only caused Genesis' cold stare to grow colder, his eyes emitting such a freezing stare that it could potentially freeze water solid in the middle of Agrabah's desert.
Leather gloved creaked as the already white-knuckle grip clenched about the handle of the Rapier grew tighter still, his hand shaking from how much pressure the SOLDIER First Class was exerting. He had already lost to some small boy with a tail and that in itself was unacceptable. Seeing now that his next opponent was this egotistical young man, it only caused the Crimson Commander to grew ever more angry. 'I've beaten you once, I can do it again!!', were words that echoed inside the SOLDIER's mind spoken in the voice of the very man standing before him with that annoying, cocky grin. Though Genesis did not bare his teeth nor murmur nor snarl. No, his brow only grew tighter as his increasingly threatening glare remained locked onto Zack's only bright eyes, watching him like a hawk eyeing it's next prey. "Did Angeal ever say that you talk too much?" Genesis asked, his tone carrying hints of his usual poetic and soft charm, but was clearly being overwritten with the frustration he had building up inside of him.
Fans old and young, men and women both were cheering for all their worth at now both the men standing in the center of the Arena. Genesis knew that The Puppy had spent some time in this very Coliseum before, mostly because he had bumped into him along with Selena 'Artemis' Wolfsong. 'Artemis' and the Crimson SOLDIER had both been asked by Phil to 'rough up' the new guy; that being Zack, back before this tournament had even been announced, but here he was again, sprouting his nonsense of wanting to be a hero and boldly he was here to 'dethrone' the current Champion. Ridiculous. Angeal's pupil may have defeated the Crimson Champion once before in the past, but that was before Genesis had come to the worlds of Kingdom Hearts, before he had gained his new powers of both Darkness and Light. Zack would be in for a shock if he figured the auburn-haired SOLDIER First Class was the same man he fought all that time ago.
"So smug... but for how long?" Genesis spoke up and instantly after, he threw his right arm up over his head, Rapier held high, and with all his grit and determination of refusing to lose this match, Genesis swung the slender weapon down in a very powerful vertical strike, aiming the razor sharp blade of the Rapier for the middle of Zack's skull. Fully expecting The Puppy to block the strike or evade it at least, Genesis flexed his knees and hunkered his entire body down before suddenly zipping off to his left in a fast 'glide' across the arena, circling around Mr. Fair right hand side. From here, the Crimson Commander took advantage of his weapon's properties; the blade was a Rapier, meaning it had excellent reach and was light in weight, making thrusting an effective swordsmanship technique. As such, a single lightning fast thrust was aimed at Zack's right ankle in a blatant attempt to try and disable him, or at least to reduce his ability to move by any degree.
Not letting up, the Crimson SOLDIER ducked low to the ground, down below the height of Zack's waist to avoid any return strikes at chest height or higher. Remaining crouched for just a second, Genesis suddenly sprung back up in a quick rotation, spinning on the spot with such speed that he caused a small vacuum of air to suck Zack closer if he were within reach. Upon completing the 360 degree jump up, Genesis Rhapsodos unleashed his Twister Strike
, a single Rapier strike aimed to strike Zack's back and being capable of dealing heavy damage if the blow connected, but even if blocked, the strike still held so much power that it would easily knock the younger SOLDIER First Class clean off his feet. With his glare still clearly etched into his forehead, Genesis turned about and cast his brightly glowing eyes onto Zack Fair, watching him carefully. "I will show no mercy, so you ought do the same or you better quit now!!"He warned, bringing his Rapier up as he did so and pointed the slender crimson weapon in young Zack's direction. [/blockquote] ------------------------------ -=Actions=-1. Genesis attempted a vicious overhead sword strike aimed at Zack's skull. 2. Zipping around to Zack's right, Genesis stabbed a fast thrust aimed at Zack's right ankle to try and immobilize him. 3. Finishing up, Genesis ducked low to the ground and unleashed a Twister Strike at Zack's back. -=Cool Downs=-Twister Strike - 2 Posts. Crouching down low to the ground in a battle stance, Genesis will jump up and rotate on the spot in a fast 360 degree spin that creates a small vortex to draw in a nearby opponent. He will then lash out furiously with a single Rapier strike that will inflict heavy damage as well as swatting away his opponent a fair distance. If guarded against, the attack will still knock away an opponent, but only deal a fraction of the damage. As Genesis strikes his enemy, the vortex of air he creates will also blast outwards to aid in throwing away his foe.
Twister Strike will knock away an enemy, even if guarded against.

IN CHARACTER ✗ Genesis's comment about how much he talked earned the Crimson SOLDIER nothing more than a mere grin as the excitement about this fight shone brightly in Zack's eyes. This fight, this rematch..it was something that Angeal's pupil had been looking forward to ever since the first time they had crossed blades that final fight. That last fight they had, where Zack had stopped Genesis's plans had honestly been one of the toughest fights that Zack had ever found himself in. He could remember what it felt like, the thrill, the adrenaline, knowing it was him saving the thousands of lives of Gaia's citizens..whether they knew it or not.
So smug...but for how long? |
"However long it takes to beat you." said Zack calmly as he tightened his grip on the Buster Sword as Genesis charged forth. Subconsciously and unbeknownst to Zack, the DMW was already collecting old data on his previous battles with Genesis, calling up that final showdown back on Gaia. Stand and fight....SOLDIER 1st Class Zack. Those words from that battle beneath Banora echoed throughout his mind as Genesis brought his rapier up above his head and swung it toward's Zack's head. Grinning, Zack ducked and rolled to the right, bringing the Buster Sword up in preparation for a counterattack when suddenly sharp pain shot through in his ankle, causing him to cry out. The next think he felt was blood running down his ankle from Genesis's cut, as well as sharp jolts whenever he put weight on it. "Damn..." said Zack through gritted teeth as he realized that Genesis likely learned a few new tricks over the years. However, Zack..unknowingly with help from the DMW and a little bit of his own memory remembered that Genesis loved to follow up with a sneak attack from behind. Grinning as one of the yellow materia in the Buster Sword began to glow, Zack raised his arms and brought the blade behind him, filling the arena with the sound of steel colliding with steel as his blade began to glow with a bright yellow aura, unleashing a powerful shockwave that could send Genesis flying as Twister Strike met Exploder Blade in counter. "WHOAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!" yelled Zack as he felt the after effect of Twister Strike pick up, sending him hurtling in midair before painfully landing upon the stone arena, scraping up both of his arms and his knees and tearing his pants a little as his body slid. "So, it's gonna be that way huh?" said Zack as he pointed his blade downward and used it to stabilize himself as he staggered upward, body encompassing in a green light as he cast Curaga upon himself. He hated healing this early in a match, but with the strike to his ankle Genesis had really left him no other choice. "Ya know, I would have expected you to learn some better tricks if you've been around a bit Genesis. Don't let me down now." he said with a grin as his eyes narrowed before he brought the Buster Sword up in a defensive stance to prepare for Genesis's next onslaught. "Or is this what passes for a Coliseum Champion now? Because man..lemme tell ya. I had a little bit of a harder time fighting Terra in this arena years ago." Actions Used: Action 1: Rolled out of the way of Genesis's first slash Action 2: Blocked Twister Strike with Exploder Blade Action 3: Healed early via Curaga due to where Genesis's second strike landed. Abilities Used: Curaga: The highest tier in the Cure spell tree. This ability will heal a majority of his or an allies wounds. Cooldown 3 posts. Exploder Blade: When this materia is triggered, Zack swings with his weapon, triggering a powerful shockwave upon impact. Shockwave will still trigger if this materia has been triggered and his sword gets blocked, knocking the opponent back. Cooldown: 2 posts[/div] OUT OF CHARACTER ✗

Only the subtle creaking of crimson leather reached the ears of the SOLDIER First Class as he made his opening attack on the younger SOLDIER before him. Zack was a very capable fighting, being able to survive the best Angeal, Sephiroth and even himself had to offer. Well, not Sephiroth. The Chose One NEVER fought anyone seriously, not even Cloud Strife, so perhaps not even Zack Fair could withstand the silver-haired legend at full power, but even so, he was not here. This fight was between the Quoter of LOVELESS and Angeal's Puppy, and for the most part, this match had already taken a heavy fall in Genesis' favour. While the hard overhead strike was evaded, the follow up strike to the spiky black-haired man's ankle was a success, hitting cleanly. Genesis felt both the cloth of Zack's pants and the skin surrounding his ankle tear from the piercing front thrust of the crimson Rapier. No broken bones though, as that was not the intention. Still, the cheering crowds and advice yelled out from Phil went unheard as only the rustling of his clothes and the sharp song his Rapier sung reached his ears.
This was a fight that required every last ounce of concentration. This was a SOLDIER First Class as his opponent; a man with strength and speed that could easily match his own. Zack Fair was no ordinary ShinRa grunt either. He happened to raise though the ranks of SOLDIER fairly quickly and had a frightening ability to learn the attacks of people he had close attachments too; including himself. Zack was able to use the Apocalypse spell, though utilized slightly so that the attack came from underneath rather then overhead. The disadvantage on Zack's half though was that the Crimson SOLDIER's own version was capable of being released much quicker. So there was that which Genesis had to look out for and possibly reserve his own Apocalypse spell to counter against it. All thoughts came grinding to a sudden halt however when the auburn-haired man unleashed his Twister Strike. Fair had reacted quickly and managed to block the powerful Rapier attack with one of his own. Whatever happened in the next couple of seconds went completely unknown to Genesis, as the next thing he knew, he was flying backwards through the air.
A strong sting in his right arm told him that his old comrade had used a similar attack to try and nullify the knock back effect of Twister Strike. Whether it worked and the effect was reversed, or if both the attacks simply ignored one another, the result was the same. Hearing the wind whistling past his ears from the speed at which he was moving, Genesis first raised his head and looked down his body to see what had happened to Zack, catching sight of him tumbling to the floor. A smirk finally shone on Genesis' face as he planned to follow up as swiftly as possible, wanting to deny Zack any chance of building up any momentum. However, after tucking in his legs and rotating his body backwards through the air, as if completing a back flip somersault, Genesis' vision suddenly went very blurry followed by an immense pain shooting through the back of his head. The hum of a magical aura reached Genesis' ears and as his vision slowly returned, the Crimson SOLDIER found himself sitting down on the arena floor with his back pushed up against the barriers protecting the audience. So they not only stopped stray attacks, but stopped fleeing enemies as well?
"Urgh..." A groan escaped the auburn-haired man's lips as his fingers clenched tight about the handle of his Rapier. Stabbing the weapon into the floor, Genesis used the blade as an anchor to help him climb back up to his feet. A throbbing headache stung throughout the whole of the SOLDIER's skull and after quickly running a hand over the back of his head, winced again upon touching the new lump there before his bright blue eyes checked his fingers for the sign of any blood. Fortunately, there was no blood, but it still hurt. Mako infused eyes glanced back over to Zack in time for him to see the young man cast a curing spell upon himself, the green glow and aura making it crystal clear. That means his ankle is healed.... The Crimson Commander thought as he quickly thought up new plans and attack strategies, which was increasingly harder to do now with this damned headache. Still, it was only seconds later before the SOLDIER First Class decided to make another move.
Raising his left hand up before his face, Genesis slowly closed his brightly glowing eyes and gently caressed his gloved fingers against the skin of his brow and forehead. Only a moment passed before the LOVELESS Fanatic threw his left arm out to the side, a massive black wing following in pursuit that tore itself out of the SOLDIER's left shoulder, extending to full span. Opening his eyes, Genesis returned his cold, dangerous glare to Zack, noticing his lips were moving in speech, but hearing none of his words. A large beat of his wing caused a clap of air to echo about the arena and launch the Crimson SOLDIER at Zack quicker then if he broke out in a sprint. Genesis could see that his black-haired opponent held his massive Buster Sword defensively. Any frontal melee strikes would be a waste as they were bound to be blocked or dodged. No, tactics had to be switched around for the time being until the young SOLDIER could be caught off guard.
As such, after gliding quickly across the arena floor directly towards Zack with Rapier raised over his head poised to attack, Genesis instead beat his wing a second time and launched himself up into the air only mere feet in front of his opponent. Within the second it took Genesis to reach a good 20 feet of altitude, a bright light blue glow had already consumed the Crimson SOLDIER's left hand. Energy was being prepared and within moments, Genesis had already swung his left arm down towards The Puppy and unleashed the powerful spell down upon him. Energy was a very fast travelling spell that rocketed down towards the young Zack Fair. If it happened to strike him or even plough straight into the ground beside him, the following explosion of energy would erupt from the point of impact and easily reach over 15 feet diameter, blasting anything caught within range of the spell with an almighty force of magical strength. Genesis remained hovering in the air, Rapier raised up and ready to strike at anything flying up towards him.
------------------------------ -=Damage=-A hard knock on the back of the head and pounding headache. -=Actions=-1. Genesis summoned his wing and flew straight at Zack, changing direction at the last moment to take to the skies. 2. While in the air over Zack, Genesis cast Energy upon him. 3. Unused. -=Cool Downs=-Twister Strike - 1 Post. Energy - 3 Posts. When Genesis uses this spell, it only takes him only a moment to cast it but it has a long recharge time. A huge and bright fiery ball with a light blue aura appears within Genesis’ left hand and can be thrown in any direction with tremendous speed to try and hit the enemy. Unlike his Flash spell, Energy is unguided and cannot move from a straight path. When the ball of Energy hits something, it explodes in a large and violent eruption, damaging anything within radius with pure, untapped energy magic. The attack covers around 15 feet when it explodes, blasting away anything to be caught within

IN CHARACTER ✗ Zack honestly, was having the time of his life in this match. Genesis was and would always be a worthy opponent namely because he always pushed Zack to his limits and made him fight like his very life depended on it. Which, outside of this arena could very much happen. Here, Genesis was bound by rules, regulations, and other laws of this world that prevented him from causing the destruction the spikey haired SOLDIER knew he was capable of causing.
As Genesis dived towards him and took flight, Zack stood his ground, unphased by the fact Genesis could fly because of the fact he had seen the Crimson SOLDIER do so numerous times. However, even he knew that he had to watch Genesis in the sky seeing as his opponent was capable of unleashing powerful attacks while in the sky, which he proved as a massive ball of energy manifested and was hurtled towards the spikey haired SOLDIER. "What the..." said Zack in surprise as the Energy attack hurtled towards him. Quickly he dove downward and rolled to the left this time, hoping he had dodged the attack, however he'd find out that that attack was far more than it seemed.
A thunderous boom filled the arena as the Energy attack exploded, causing Zack's body to lift into the air once more as well as get cut up and bruised on his arms and chest as well as tear at his shirt from the resulting debris. "Whoa whoa whoa whoaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!" he exclaimed as he kept a tight grip on the Buster Sword as he flew threw the air, eyes closing as he saw the edge of the arena coming. However instead of fly out of the arena like he thought, he landed with a thud, followed by a brief sparking noise filling his ears as body met barrier before falling with a soft 'plop' upon the arena floor.
Laying there a moment to catch his breath, Zack began to laugh, painfully of course as his ribs were bruised from the after effect of the energy attack, but laughter nonetheless. He was truly enjoying this fight, and had more than enough planned to keep Genesis busy. Staggering up to his feet, he shot Genesis a grin before bringing the Buster Sword up to rest on his shoulder, blue materia in his left wrist glowing for a moment as he removed his left hand from the Buster Sword and unleashed a massive fireball that hurtled toward Genesis. However, instead of staying one fireball, it split off into three separate fireballs, each one locked in and honed on Genesis. However, the Hell Firaga was simply a ruse as a red materia in Zack's right arm began to glow, hands swapping upon the Buster Sword before Zack's right arm shot up towards the sky, a summon gliph appearing briefly as the materia was activated before vanishing.
While Genesis would hopefully still be dealing with the contending homing effects of Hell Firaga, the sky above began to darken as a large mass of clouds began to swirl together overhead, almost like a storm. The startled gasps of the now worrying audience could be heard as the mass of clouds continued to swarm. From a distance, a faint blue light could be seen hurtling towards the arena, that light growing larger and brigher as it got closer. A loud roar echoed throughout the arena as the blue energy shot outward, leaving the sky almost black as night as Bahamut manifested, those glowing eyes then focusing upon Genesis for the briefest of moments before energy began to form in the massive King of the Dragon's mouth. Spreading his wings out, Bahamut gave Genesis one last look before rising up into the sky and unleashing the powerful beam of Megaflare from its mouth while Zack stood there defensively, ready for Genesis's next strike.
Actions taken: 1. Dodged out of the way of the Energy attack, but got caught up in the after effect. 2. Used Hell Firaga as a ruse to distract Genesis 3. Summoned Bahamut who immediately launched Megaflare. Genesis, feel free to treat Bahamut like he's gone in your post.
Abilities Used: Curaga: Cooldown Remaining 2 posts Exploder Blade: Remaining Cooldown: 1 posts
Hell Firaga: Extremely powerful and very dangerous materia crafted via Materia Fusion. Zack launches three fireballs at his opponent that are capable of inflicting Poison, Silence, and Stop upon his foes if inflicted. The fireballs, unlike a normal Firaga hone in on the target they are directed out..however can be blocked by debris or obstacles. The duration for the affects are as follows: Poison: Weakens the foe for 2 turns Silence: Prevents use of magic attacks for 1 turn. Stop: Stops opponents from performing any action for the post they are struck by this spell. (Note: While I prefer at least poison to affect upon impact, it is up to those taking the hit to choose between Stop or Silence) Cooldown: 4 posts
Bahamut: The King of Dragons himself. When he is being summoned, the sky will become dark and cloudy, with the clouds themselves twisting for a moment as if a tornado is about to start. Bahamut burst through the clouds surrounded by a field of energy before standing and dispersing the field surrounding him. Bahamut is capable of high speed flight, however his speed pales in comparison to that of Bahamut Fury or Bahamut Zero. When summoned, he lasts for three posts, fighting valiantly next to Zack and even allowing him to ride upon his back should an opponent take to the sky. Cooldown: 5 posts, dispersed upon Limit Break use. Cooldown not initiated until dispersed or limit break is used. Bahamut Limit Break: Megaflare By flying high into orbit itself, Bahamut gathers energy into its body before channeling it into his mouth, unleashing a powerful orb of pure concentrated energy capable of leveling entire cities should whoever wields him choose to do so. Against opponents however, Megaflare just deals very heavy non elemental damage. Cooldown: None, Disperses Bahamut and starts the cooldown upon use. (Note: Yes I realize the summon is normally linked to the DMW in Crisis Core, however given the fact there's 3 different games plus Advent Children I felt it was best to go with Advent style with summoning for a more realistic approach.)

The sunlight Coliseum where many battles took places of the course of ages, suddenly turned a vivid bright blue as the Energy spell collided with the stone floor of the fighting arena. The explosion covered a wide area as crackles of energy rippled through the air like streaks of lightning during a thunder storm. The noise the eruption made was electrifying in itself, many fans of the Crimson SOLDIER already plugging their ears with their fingers even before the fast travelling spell crashed into the ground. Everyone in the audience got a fantastic view of the spell detonating and it caused a deafening roar of excitement to wash over the whole Coliseum, enough so that it felt like the very world itself was shaking from the noise. The wave of energy only lasted a moment and soon enough the bright blue light smothering the arena faded away and returned to normal, in time for Genesis' to see the damaged and tumbling figure of Zack crashing into the magical barrier locking the fighters in.
The Crimson Champion turned about in mid air and watched with a smirk spread from ear to ear as Zack slowly pushed himself back up to his feet. The laughing he was doing was annoying, but fortunately he couldn't hear it very well due to the roars and cheers his fans were making at the display of magical skill. That was what made Genesis one of the best of SOLDIER. Not only was he able to keep up with Sephiroth and Angeal in the heat of battle, but he was also the most proficient at using magic, perhaps within all of SOLDIER. Of course it was the materia he had to thank at the end of the day, but at least he was able to put on such a show that it seemed he wasn't using any materia at all. Normally, you'd see a green light shine from within a person's weapon or from their armour, indicating that they were using their materia. If not green, then either yellow, blue or red, command materia like Steal, a support materia like All or a summon materia such as Ifrit. If one could spot the glow of materia and it's colour, it was usually pretty easy to predict what was going to happen.
Black feathers attached to the large wing protruding from Genesis' back continued to beat steadily, allowing the tall crimson clothed man to remain hovering within the air. The occasional feather fell from the wing and fluttered down onto the stone floor without making any sound, disappearing into nothingness a moment or two after it came to a rest. From up here, the Quoter of LOVELESS could see everything that Zack was planning, thus being able to react accordingly. There was no chance that some egotistical punk like Zack Fair was going to best him in combat a second time, the reason Genesis started off the match as viciously as he could. That reminded him though. One annoying perk about Zack Fair was that the moment he was able to build up momentum, there was very little that could stop him. As such, Genesis' eyes narrowed and he glared dangerously once more back down towards his opponent. It would be better to fly down to confront Zack quickly before he could do anyth-
Genesis' eyes widened slightly as he noticed The Puppy had clambered back to his feet already and a soft blue (green perhaps for Magic? =D) light shone out from Fair's left forearm. Dammit Fair!! Genesis cursed within his thoughts as he prepared himself to zip down to the ground and launch an attack. Too late however, as before the auburn-haired man even had a chance to move, a large fireball was already rocketing up to meet him in mid air. Genesis frowned heavily and he brought up his Rapier before him, holding the weapon out cross his own body horizontally. "Nothing shall forestall... my return!" He spoke aloud, his voice soft and gentle, despite being in the middle of a battle.
A sudden bright red glow started to emit from the SOLDIER's left hand which he placed against the flat edge of his Rapier. As the glow appeared to transfer from his hand onto the blade itself, several runes and lines of text appeared down the length of the weapon. The words and runes themselves then grew brighter and lighter before the entire weapon was covered with a burning, fire-like crimson aura. Having Imbued his Rapier
with his own magical strength, Genesis brought the glowing weapon up over his head and awaited the incoming spell from Fair. This was a Hell Firaga attack. Genesis had seen it and faced off against it before in the past. While it looked like one single fireball, the spell would actually split into three and gain incredible homing capabilities as it did so. Thus, Genesis waited and watched, foolishly keeping his eyes on the nasty spell over paying attention to what Zack himself was doing. A 'whoosh' of flame reached the LOVELESS Quoter's ears and as predicted, the Hell Firaga split into three. It was only now that Genesis moved, launching himself towards the attack with a powerful beat of his wing to stop the three fireballs from spreading too far apart. Drawing near, a swift slash of his Imbued Rapier managed to cut through the three fireballs at once, dispelling all of them in small explosions of fire and smoke. Not hanging around to see what else Zack had in store, Genesis turned about within the air, pointing himself towards the ground and flew down quickly to the arena floor, landing with a heavy thud upon both his feet. Within the same instant, Genesis launched himself straight for Zack, Rapier held high over his head ready to strike. But, the moment Genesis got close, a subtle red aura shone from Zack's arm and caused him to skid to a halt instantly. In fact, it forced the SOLDIER First Class to jump backwards a fair distance. "You're summoning!? Zack, what about the audience?! Are the barriers surrounding us strong enough to stop the power of a summon?!Genesis shouted, his voice full of alarm and concern. This was only a tournament match. The people getting hurt were supposed to be the two warriors fighting in the middle of the Coliseum. Everyone else were here only as spectators. It was too late however, for the sky turned black and shattered like glass as the King of Dragons emerged from it's own dimension. It was a magnificent sight to behold, particularly so for Genesis for this mighty beast once belonged in his possession before having given the King of Dragons to Fair. The large beast met eyes with it's former owner, but there was no sign of remembrance within the Dragon's eyes. Perhaps he did remember him, but like FURY, maybe he too was upset at how he was handled back in the past. Genesis took a step back and watched as powerful energy began to form within the large creatures maw. Megaflare... This is bad...The auburn-haired man thought to himself as he cast his eyes back onto Zack. If the barriers surrounding both himself and Genesis were indeed able to withstand the power of a summon, then where was Zack going to hide from this devastating attack? Well, time was running out to decide on what to do and thus Genesis suddenly bolted for Zack Fair himself. If Bahamut fired it's Megaflare when Genesis was next to Fair, surely the summon's summoner would take damage too? Only one way to find out and before Genesis knew what had happened next, a blinding light swallowed the arena whole, Megaflare exploding beside him with it's full power. There were no words to describe what happened in the following seconds, feeling more like hours. Megaflare had struck the ground behind Genesis and thus most of the damage had been caused there. Terrible burns covered his back as well as the backs of his arms and legs. His coat was shredded and his wing was badly damaged to the point of being useless. Cuts were bleeding from debris hitting the SOLDIER First Class and, again, the magical hum of the barrier surrounding the warriors indicated that it was powerful enough to stop a summons attack, as well as stopping Genesis passing through to the audience once more. Again, he sat there against the edge of the arena, the hexagon-shaped shielding flickering constantly so long as the auburn-haired man rested against it. As the dust settled, Genesis was seen slumped up against the barrier, his left arm curled about his face as protection while his right kept a hard grip on his Rapier, making sure the Imbued effect remained active. A groan escaped his lips as his left arm dropped down, palm pushing against the arena floor. Using his Rapier as an anchor once more, the SOLDIER First Class clambered back up to his feet and allowed himself a moment to exhale a long breath of air. Bahamut certainly hadn't lost any of his power at all. Standing firm on both feet, Genesis cast his bright blue eyes over himself to check for any serious injuries. His headache had grown several times worse now and most of the skin on his back had been burnt black due to being hit there from Megaflare. Despite the cuts and burns however, Genesis walked out into the middle of the arena and brought his Rapier up before him defensively. With a smirk spreading from ear to ear, he looked out for Zack and chuckled at him. "Well, that should do for a warm up. You ready to go again?"[/blockquote] ------------------------------ -=Damage=- A hard knock on the back of the head. Large burn across his back, seen through torn clothing. Several smaller burns and cuts dotting his arms and legs. Destroyed wing. A seriously pounding headache. -=Actions=- 1. Imbuing his Rapier, Genesis granted his weapon stronger attack and defence capabilities. 2. Genesis blocked and destroyed the Hell Firaga with an Imbued Rapier strike. 3. Before Megaflare was launched, Genesis tried to get as close to Zack as possible to force him to also take damage from Bahamut's attack. -=Cool Downs=- Twister Strike - Read to be used! Energy - 2 Posts. Imbue Rapier - 1 Post. Buff is Active. Genesis raises his Rapier up to eye level and runs his left hand down the length of the blade, infusing the whole weapon with magic that causes the blade to glow a bright red. All physical attacks are enhanced while the sword is under this effect and also allows Genesis the opportunity to throw out more advanced techniques. The effect can last for an entire battle, but if Genesis is rendered unconscious or if the Rapier falls from his grip, the enhancement is nullified. Also, if a block is made against a powerful strike, this can also ‘knock’ the effect off the weapon.

Prepare the weapon, this battle ends when I give in. I lose my head I lose my mind I lose my mind. Time passes by, falls out of sight. And I can't look back I'm losing my fight. Blinded by this light all truth is gone..gone..gone
IN CHARACTER ✗ A wide grin appeared on Zack's face as the very fact he was summoning startled Genesis, and he even actually began to get a little overconfident about Bahamut's abilities. Yet, what he didn't expect, was for Genesis to run towards him as Megaflare hit the ground with a loud BOOM, rocking the entire arena as the beam chased after Genesis. "Oh you have go to be kidding me!" yelled Zack as he started to sprint at the last second, only to be caught up in the blast along with Genesis anyway. For the third time this match, Zack foudn himself airborne, body racked with pain from the several burns and cuts. His body hit the solid arena floor with a loud thud and slid towards the opposite end of where Genesis was, scrapes and cuts appearing on his arms and legs as he slid. Groaning as he layed there for a moment, he exhaled slowly, feeling some slight pain as he did so, but that was natural. Like Genesis did with his rapier, Zack would use the Buster Sword as an anchor while he pulled himself up, his vision blurring and doubling as he stood. "So...maybe this won't be a cinch after all..." he said with a grin before shaking his head, trying his best to ignore his body's cries of pain.
I'm..honestly not sure if I can beat him or not. I want to be a hero but....Genesis is stronger this time. I don't know if I can do this. |
Zack thought to himself before everything around him went white for the briefest of moments. Yet instead of passing out when everything went white, Zack felt a familiar presence as a hand touched his shoulder(mentally of course) and felt like it was holding him up. "Giving up? I thought I taught you better Zack." said an all too familiar voice in Zack's mind, though to Zack it would feel like his old friend and mentor was right there with him. "I taught you to embrace your dreams, and no matter what happens, protect your honor as SOLDIER." After those words, everything returned to normal in Zack's mind. He was back in the arena, barely standing and eyeing Genesis as he held a defensive stance, ready for a second round. Smirking, Zack brought the Buster Sword back up, knees trembling slightly before he found his composure, Angeal's words still ringing loudly in his mind. As for Genesis, while yes he could hold his own against hte likes of Angeal and Sephiroth, he had to remember one thing about Zack. Zack, upon Angeal's death had not only inherited his old friend's Buster Sword, but had taken up his mantle as the very heart of SOLDIER, always giving an encouraging word to those ready to give up. Thanks to Hojo, he was also a Sephiroth clone...but above all else. He wasn't Angeal or Sephiroth despite those traits. No, he was still himself, and Genesis was going to learn that the hard way. "Round two huh? Well...guess I'll start things off." Another bright green glow emanated from Zack's left arm as he removed his hand from the Buster Sword before raising his arm to the sky, where the materia would begin to take effect. To those untrained in the use of Materia, it would look as if Zack was summoning again, however the give away to what he really was doing was the green glow in his arm. The sky overhead darkened once more, appearing as if it were about to storm. Soon a small flash of lightning appeared in the sky, followed by the booming rumble of thunder. However, that was only the beginning. Another loud boom echoed throughout the arena, causing the spectators to cover their ears before a brilliant flash echoed throughout as a bolt of lightning shot down towards Genesis, followed by a second, then a third. As everyone also knows, metal conducts electricity and well...Genesis happened to be holding on to the one thing that made him a lightning rod, his Rapier, and Zack was counting on that. This would leave Genesis with two choices, hold on to the Rapier and keep his aura up and truly risk getting shocked three times by the Tri Thundaga spell, or let it go and lose the aura on his blade and lower his chances of getting shocked. Regardless, thanks to that little episode in his mind, memories of Angeal were running through Zack's mind as he placed the Buster Sword on his back. Like Hell Firaga, Tri Thundaga had truly been a ruse...yet Zack didn't count on the DMW taking over his next action. Gloved hands balled into fists as Zack's glowing sky blue gaze fixated upon Genesis, wherever he may be, DMW sending memories of the last battle with Angeal, Angeal dying in Zack's arms, the Invasion of Wutai, and above all else, every training session Angeal and Zack had ever had. Prove your honor to me.Those words echoed in Zack's mind as he took off at a full sprint towards Genesis, right arm cocked back in preparation for a punch. "I've got it." he said stoically as he neared, bringing his fist up towards Genesis's chin in an attempted right hook. But this attack was far from over. Oh no, this was a very long and deadly combo that Angeal had taught him long ago. That right hook was only a chain, as it would be followed up by Zack backing up before bringing his right leg up forcefully, aiming a kick between Genesis's legs towards well..let's just say no guy ever appreciates where that would land if Genesis didn't move. The third followup would be Zack's left fist coming toward's Genesis's stomach, while the fourth would be his right fist attempting an uppercut before Zack would wheel around behind Genesis and aim two kicks towards the Crimson SOLDIER's back before cupping his hands together and attempting to slam his hands downward upon the back of Genesis's head. Backing up once again, it would appear Zack's combo was over, that is until he'd attempt to dive right on top of Genesis, putting his weight on both his knees in attempt to bring the Crimson SOLDIER to the ground. If Genesis dodged that, the ninth followup would be roundhouse kick to his shoulder. If he didn't, it would simply be a kick to the ribs while he was down. Strikes ten and eleven would be a punch towards the SOLDIER's throat, followed by a shot to the kidney. Follow up strikes thirteen and fourteen would be kicks towards both his ribs, while the fifteenth and final strike would be a punch aimed directly towards Genesis's nose. Once those strikes landed or were blocked/dodged depending on what Genesis did, Zack would take the Buster Sword in hand once more and deliver a quick slash towards Genesis's chest. Actions: 1. Zack used Tri Thundaga as a ruse to distract Genesis from his second attack. 2. The DMW kicked in, prompting Zack to go into Rush Assault for a powerful fifteen hit combo. (Gen feel free to block/dodge however you see fit regarding any of those strikes, just said where to give you an idea of where Zack was aiming) 3. After Rush Assault finished, Zack drew the Buster Sword and slashed towards Genesis's chest. Note for Staff: I got Lala's permission to briefly NPC Angeal for that bit that went on in Zack's head when he considered giving up. Abilities Used: Curaga: Cooldown Remaining 1 posts Exploder Blade: Ready for use Hell Firaga: 3 posts Remaining Summon Bahamut: 4 posts remaining DMW Limit Break: Rush Assault:When experiencing a strong memory or emotion about Angeal in battle, Zack is able to use this powerful 15 strike attack. It is performed by striking a single opponent seven times with a flurry of punches and kicks for 7 strikes before diving on top of them for the 8th. The final 7 strikes are another kick/punch combo. Can be divided up between multiple opponents. cooldown 4 posts Tri-Thundaga: Very powerful materia in its own right. Lightning bolts fire in three arcs towards a foe, dealing heavy Thunder damage to a single enemy. Can be divided up against no more than three foes..in which case each single bolt is the equivalent of getting hit by your standard Thundaga spell. Dust and rubble were still settling down on the wide arena floor from the mighty attack the King of Dragons launched from it's maw. The beast had now vanished though, returned back from whence it came after using up all of it's power in the single attack. It amused the Crimson SOLDIER to think that Bahamut had put it's all into that Megaflare in spite of how he was treated back during the Mass SOLDIER Desertion Incident. It actually made Genesis wonder if Bahamut even recognized him anymore. It had been so very long and Zack had died initially. Would Bahamut have been passed onto someone else during Zack's death or was he simply laying dormant, waiting for it's master to return? A curious thought, one it wouldn't hurt to pursue in the near future. As for right now, there was still work to be done.
Thankfully, the barriers made from magic that protected the fans and audience from the action had survived the onslaught of Bahamut's attack. Heck, it had even survived being slammed into three times back Zack Fair himself, and with a head as hard as his, that was truly impressive. A chuckle formed in Genesis' throat at the amusing image, but he swallowed it back down before it had chance to verbally introduce itself. No, Zack was steadily getting back up to his own feet, though he looked considerably more damaged that Genesis himself felt. He wasn't going to lie, everything hurt, especially his head, but this was a tournament. You either won or you lost. There was no middle ground. Looking from how Zack clung to the handle of his Buster Sword, his knees shaking and his eyes lacking the strength to focus on the Crimson SOLDIER, it appeared little work was left to be done.
This was hardly the time to show weakness though. To show weakness, it would give The Puppy all the motivation he needed to carry on fighting. No, Genesis stood tall in the middle of the arena and remained there, waiting and watching Zack as the breeze blew past, catching his hair and blowing his tattered crimson coat out behind him. The cool air was a welcoming embrace to the scorched skin of his back, one Genesis was dying to close his eyes to and enjoy the sensation, but he did not. He simply kept his cold blue-eyed stare locked onto Zack as he slowly raised his arm back up into the air. Another green glow emitted from the black-haired SOLDIER's arm and Genesis once again instantly knew what he was planning. More magic... But not Firaga this time. What other spells do you enjoy using? Thundaga, perhaps? Genesis mused to himself as a slight smirk tugged at the corner of his lips, eyes glancing to the skies for just a second as he watched the clouds gather and the skies darken. Looks like he nailed it on the head.
However, Genesis wasn't one to make the same mistake twice. Zack had used his materia last time around as a means of distraction, one he only just got away with. It wasn't going to happen a second time and the auburn-haired man knew exactly how to deal with The Puppy. As the Imbued Rapier within the SOLDIER's grip continued to shine brightly, the weapon was slowly brought up and held directly over his head, the blade pointing towards the sky. A bolt of lightning thundered down from the heavens, the flash it created causing the arena to light up tremendously for the blink of an eye. Genesis remained standing still, Rapier held skywards, smirk growing wider. As the second flash of lightning swallowed the arena, the wing upon the Crimson SOLDIER's back had changed, repairing itself fully from it's burnt, broken state. By time the third bolt of lightning fell from the skies, the first had already struck it's target directly, once more destroying the wing upon the SOLDIER's back, making it impossible now to tell that Genesis had switched places with one of his Clones
. Tri Thundaga crashed down onto the Genesis Clone, all three bolts, but the fake SOLDIER remained standing there, Rapier held up in the sky. It continued to stand like this until Zack had closed the gap and unleashed his furious combo attack. Every punch, kick, bite, scratch, poke -- whatever Zack did, everything landed and the Clone tumbled down onto the ground once it had all finished, battered and broken from the assault. On the other side of the arena though, a bright flash of light shone from where the real SOLDIER First Class stood. He too had his right arm held up into the air, his Rapier pointing to the skies. The flash of light was caused by appearance of a massive, intricate rune, though this one manifested itself in a large circle behind the Crimson SOLDIER, instead of over his head in the form of an Apocalypse spell. No, there was no magic being cast here, but the ominous red glow emitting from Genesis' left forearm, probably told Zack everything he needed to know. "My soul, corrupted by vengeance, Hath endured torment, to find the end of the journey, In my own salvation... And your internal slumber!"A massive golden spike suddenly burst though the air over Genesis' head, which slowly tore a gap open between two dimensions. As the long golden tear grew longer, the tear broke and shattered as the King of Dragons, evolved into a more dangerous form, came to the battlefield. Bahamut FURY, a gigantic Dragon with golden scales and six massive spines on it's back, roared loudly, causing the fans and audience surrounding the two warriors to shield their ears from the noise. While some were terrified at the sight of such a monster, others rose to their feet and cheered even louder then usual to see an attack that Genesis had never revealed in the Coliseum before. With a single beat of his massive golden wings, Bahamut FURY launched itself high into the skies, disappearing from sight almost instantly due to the sheer speed it travelled. With the entire audience turning their eyes to the skies, Genesis smirked again as he kept his attention on Zack Fair and his Clone. The battered image of himself was still alive, but obviously hurt from having taking the assault from The Puppy. "Two can play your game, Zack. If you nearly collapsed from Megaflare, lets see you stand back up after taking FURY's attack."Genesis said with a grin, lowering his Rapier back down and pointing the slender blade in Zack's direction. Even though the wing on Genesis' back was damaged to the point of making flying impossible, it was still present as an extra appendage on the Crimson SOLDIER. Evident enough when the quoter of LOVELESS extended the wing out to it's full span, causing a wince to escape Genesis' lips. Beating his wing several times, the auburn-haired man fired countless black feathers towards Zack, each of them carrying a nasty black aura to them. A Black Flurry of feathers, every single one of them homing in on Zack with pinpoint accuracy, their stems shooting towards Zack like daggers flying through the air. However, they were not designed to deal physical damage. No, if any of the feathers were to strike the young black-haired SOLDIER, he'd find his magical strength get sapped, drained if you will, making his own magic spells less effective then normal. But the worse part was that if Zack got struck by any of the feathers, he had a high chance of becoming Cursed, a nasty status effect that would prevent him from using any of his Limit Breaks. Of course, the feathers had to hit him first. High up in the skies, a golden creature broke free from the worlds atmosphere and entered the cold blackness of outer space. Up here, the King of Dragons released the six large spines from it's wings and watched as they rocketed towards the moon circling the world. After they all got into position and formed a seal to gather and store energy, Bahamut FURY opened it's maw and charged up it's own Megaflare, firing the powerful blast into the center of the moon. The large piece of space rock started to crumble as energy begun pouring out, being captured and redirected into the moon due to the spines. Several seconds passed before the spines forced the moon over the Coliseum far below on the world's surface. From the Coliseum, the gigantic fireball in the sky that was the moon could easily be seen growing brighter and brighter. Back up in space, the moon finally erupted, an Exaflare as wide as the moon itself rocketing down from outer space, back into the atmosphere of the world before finally coming crashing down upon the Coliseum itself. [/blockquote] Genesis Clone has 60% Health remaining. (Tri Thundaga = 4 Post cool down. Assault Rush = 4 Post cool down. 8 Post cool down halved, then multiplied by 10 = 40. 100 HP - 40 = 60. 60% Health remaining.) ------------------------------ -=Damage=- A hard knock on the back of the head. Large burn across his back, seen through torn clothing. Several smaller burns and cuts dotting his arms and legs. Destroyed wing. A seriously pounding headache. -=Actions=- 1. Genesis summoned his Genesis Clone to take the damage of Zack's attacks for him. 2. Genesis summoned Bahamut FURY whom used it's Limit Break while Zack was busy with the Clone. 3. During Bahamut's ascent to outer space, Genesis used Black Flurry to try and inflict Curse upon Zack. -=Cool Downs=- Energy - 1 Post. Imbue Rapier - Ready to be used! Buff is Active. Genesis Clone Level 3 - 6 Posts. Useful in many situations. Genesis can now spawn a fully identical clone of himself, which can use all his skills and techniques ranging from low powered up to his highest strength abilities. This upgraded Clone now sports 100% of Genesis’ stats, and the Clone will be able to take as much of a beating as Genesis himself before being defeated. This version will prove a serious threat to those unaware of the SOLDIER’s capabilities, more so then both the Level 1 and Level 2 Clones. Much like the Clones seen in the time of Crisis Core, this imitation of the SOLDIER 1st Class can move, act and think on its own, but is totally loyal to Genesis. A Level 3 Clone's appearance is identical to Genesis', from head to toe. The only difference is that the Clone is unable to dispel it's wing, perhaps the only way to tell them apart. When the Clone is spawned, it comes to the battlefield as a fresh character, with none of Genesis' current cool downs effecting it. A Clone cannot spawn another Clone.
Clone will fight endlessly with 100% of Genesis’ stats until defeated, otherwise it will automatically dispel after a 3-Post time limit. Only 1 Clone can be summoned at a time. Cool down will not begin until the Clone is dispelled or defeated. Bahamut FURY - 8 Posts. The King of Dragons in an evolved form. Unlike his brethren, his scales are a golden colour, granting him stronger defence against physical and magical attacks. His height and weight have increased dramatically and his wings have acquired six gigantic golden spines upon them. FURY can fly with ease, capable of leaving the world’s atmosphere and being able to fly at immense speeds. When he is summoned, Bahamut FURY appears by slicing his way through dimensions using the blade upon his maw. He will then replace Genesis in battle and fight furiously with pride and loyalty. Depending on the enemy, Genesis may also join the fight beside FURY, double teaming an unfortunate foe.
Bahamut FURY will automatically dispel over after a 3 Post time limit. He will also get dispelled instantly after using his Limit Break. 8 Post cool down won't begin until Bahamut FURY has left the battlefield.
-~=LIMIT BREAK=~- Exaflare – FURY’s Limit Break attack. Spreading his wings, Bahamut FURY flies out of range of any and all enemies, heading out of the world’s atmosphere and into outer space. There, he releases his six spines, which fly to a nearby moon and begin to direct power and energy onto the moon’s surface. Bahamut himself will then fire a Megaflare upon the moon, which with the help of the six spines, turns about to face the world below. After unfathomable energy is gathered, the moon explodes and releases a gigantic Exaflare down upon the battlefield, which swallows up a plot of land easily as big as Midgar. The attack deals tremendous damage if not avoided. This Limit Break dispels Bahamut FURY from the battlefield.
Black Flurry - 4 Posts. Curse will last for 2 Posts if character is inflicted. A special attack Genesis has within his arsenal. Usable only when his Angel’s Wing is summoned, the SOLDIER releases a flurry of feathers from his wing that dart towards his opponent and sap them of their MP or magical strength, causing their spells to be less effective. No physical damage is inflicted but any enemy to be struck by the feathers will have a high chance to become Cursed, which disables the enemies ability to use their own Limit Breaks while the status affect is present.
Characters inflicted with Curse cannot use Limit Breaks and their spells are less effective for 2 Posts.
