A smirk was plastered on his face as he made his way to the arena, the roar of the crowd falling on his ears as he cracked his knuckles. It was a pleasant sound to hear and he hoped that the applause and cheers would only continue when the battle finally got under way. Yes, he hoped that whoever his opponent was that they’d be strong enough to at least give him a bit of a challenge so the audience didn’t fall asleep. On the other hand, considering he had gotten to the finals of the previous tournament he was curious if his opponent would be a bit nervous with that possibly in mind. Although it mattered little whether his opponent was strong or not, in either event he planned to smash his opponent into the ground and take victory so he could proceed. He had faith in the two that he had teamed up with for this tournament, not the least bit worried that they might lose their own matches. After all, one was a shape-shifting hottie whose personality did constant 180s and the other a beautiful red-head with a fiery temper and an arsenal to back it up. He didn’t need to worry and doing so would be foolish, he couldn’t allow any needless musings to distract him whilst fighting his opponent.
Whatever the case, he would step inside the arena and immediately begin to take off his shirt, already the cheers from the women becoming louder. Needless to say, this only made the freelancer’s smirk grow wider as he tossed into the stands, allowing whatever fan girl with a good reach to grab hold of it. He wouldn’t need it and considering that he planned to start things off with his favorite elemental manipulator, wearing a shirt wouldn’t be very prudent. No, if he wore that loose clothing when he decided to activate it, if his opponent was perceptive he might deduce what type of techniques the red-head would be displaying. While word of mouth may have also clued the opponent in prior to the match, there was no need to give him any more info if avoidable. After all, more so than with his body, the freelancer fought with his brain and always made sure to exercise some sort of strategy. For above all else he was a human, a frail and brittle human that wished to fight monsters like dragons or Mako infused nutjobs. He couldn’t rush in blindly; he had to fight with his mind as well making sure to hide his hand when necessary and bluff when the odds were stacked against him. Yes, his battles were often like an intense game of poker, he had to outthink his opponent and outplay them if he desired victory. Hell, more so than for victory, he had to outplay his opponents just to survive, his life having been on the chopping block more than once.
In any event when his opponent finally showed himself he would take a moment to give the man an once-over, hoping to deduce something. Sadly, not much came to mind as his opponent didn’t seem particularly muscular nor did he have a sword or anything at his side. This could potentially mean that his opponent was the type to cast spells at a range but he didn’t really look like that type of guy. It was a shame that he couldn’t figure anything out about his opponent from a glance but then again perhaps it didn’t really matter much. After all, no matter what type of opponent he was about to face Felix would have to approach the person and get into close range. While the method he would use could vary depending on the opponent, he wouldn’t find out anything if he simply waited for the man to strike. No, he enjoyed making the first move anyway so why not be the one to get this party started, why not be the first to attack? With that in mind, the freelancer would release a deep breath as he took off toward the man, sprinting as fast as he could. As he did so, he would active the ability Wind Manipulator |
which caused wind to surround his entire body. This would be invisible to the naked eye of course and given that he had taken his shirt off and his pants were well-fitted, his clothes would not give away what technique he had used. No, what might give it away though was when within roughly ten feet Felix would jump toward the man, attempting to send a flying knee strike directly into his face. Yet covering all that distance would be rather difficult with just a leap and perhaps his opponent may even think it impossible for the red-head. He wasn’t banking on that possibility but regardless of his opponent’s thoughts on the matter, the freelancer would release two gusts of air from his palms. They were positioned behind him and would make him accelerate in the air much faster and perhaps even catch the opponent off guard. Whether the attack was successful or not, the freelancer was far from done and would attempt to pull of another tricky and rather creative aerial maneuver. Yes, for as the knee landed or didn’t for that matter, he would use another gust of wind to send him over his opponent’s head. He would land not too far behind the fellow and when his feet touched the ground he would pivot on his left foot to the left to set up his next combo. Along with that movement, his left arm would extend as his left hand formed a fist and he attempted to slam the back of his fist into the opponent’s temple. This would be the first strike in a two-hit combo and whether it landed or not, now that he would be presumably facing his opponent, he would fall into a Thai Stance and end it. The finisher of the combo would be a right knee aimed at either his opponent’s back or his stomach depending on whether said opponent turned or not. Or perhaps an entirely different result would be present; in any event the freelancer would stay focused and give this fight his all like always. The #1 Freelancer of Radiant Gardens Felix Maximilian never slacks off in a fight after all, Wind Manipulator - By using the same principle behind Mass Manipulator, Felix can manipulate the element of wind to his will. When activated, his body will be covered in an armor of wind, causing physical attacks to be redirected, making them glance or miss completely. This wind armor will not provide any innate resistance to Wind Elemental attacks. As for his attacks, they will all be given Wind elemental damage on top of the physical damage Felix deals normally. If attacked directly, an air vacuum will be created afterwards that sucks them in, immobilizing the opponent for one turn (Immoblize). The status effect will not be applied if the opponent is attacked with his katana. This ability has a two post duration, a three post cool down, and CAN NOT be used for one turn after a previous elemental manipulator (this applies to all elemental manipulators). (Added as Unity reward, 8th of August 2011.) Through rigorous training to gain a better control over the elements, Felix has managed to master the element of Wind. Due to his greater mastery over it, he is now able to also use gusts of wind to give him a degree of aerial movement when airborne. Furthermore, using this ability no longer causes him to be effected by Elemental Exhaustion nor take as long to use it once again. The time it takes to reactivate this ability is now two minutes (2 posts) as opposed to the previous three minutes (3 posts). 1 out of 2 posts First Action – Use of Wind Manipulator to close the distance to attempt a flying knee strike on the opponent’s face. Second Action – Use of Wind Manipulator to maneuver behind the opponent and attempt a two strike combo, a spinning left backfist to the temple and a right knee strike.
[/style] [STYLE=font-family: trebuchet ms; font-size: 9px; color: #606060; opacity: 0.9; text-align: right;]MADE BY AYU OF BACK TO NEVERLAND ( x)[/style]

So be it.
It was a intriguing concept, to go into battle this way. To hunt and tail down the people once responsible for the destruction of the world, for massacre on a grand scale, the only thing these soldiers understood that no longer had rational orders to fill their jarheads. Hundreds, perhaps thousands of people's lives were at stake, and perhaps they didn't even realize it. Couldn't realize it until it was too late. Spliced with the genes of a raven-winged angel, someone had to come to to keep them in check and order, someone who felt responsible for cleaning up the mess they, a certain crazed scientist and a long deceased crew of his fellow electric company officials had started long ago in their grasp for corporate and financial power.
"So, hey there zombieface, what do you say? Eliminate that Sora punk, and I'll tell you where you can find them. Deal?" a certain god of the underworld finished his leecherous bargaining, bright blue hair flickering as he looked at the pale-faced gunman. The latter did not look at the former, a deadpan look out into the crowd that was cheering for him and his opponent now he had been called out to battle in this tournament.
"Sorry. Already got a Hades I work with."
"Whoa whoa whoa, I can't believe you're throwing away such a godly deal here, ain't you a gun-for-hire with that whole dark-Halloween-Town-bad-ass thing going on? But you said you knew your little lightning-bolt head Cloud, right, wasn't he wearing that same get-up as you? To sweeten the deal, how about I help him find who he's looking for too? I'll make it both worth your while, and can you really say no to what your friend wants? C'mon, I'll throw in some plasma to help flush that face and get rid of that whole I'm-dead look. Don't call me the Lord of the Dead for nothin', I'll make it worth your while pal."
"If you know Cloud, then you know my answer... 'Not interested'."
The 'vampire' walked away from Hades without another word, and the god just sneered at his back in disgust after dropping the friendly salesman act. "Pffft, and I thought that blond friend of his that stuck his finger in a socket was stiffer than the stiffs back at home. He makes him look like a muse in a summer toga. Well, Mr. Valentine.... there's one rule that wasn't mentioned on the sign-up sheet. Better hope that red-head I should have put my munny on instead out there, beats you.... because accidents will happen." the Underworld deity smirked, and turned to sink back into the shadows.
Vincent Valentine, having walked out of earshot of the King of the Dead, strode calmly and confidently into one side of the arena. People cheered around him, but he made not a movement, nor even a sound as he glanced ahead at his opponent. Red-head, he had heard, was that anyone that he knew? When he had signed up with this triple-team member tournament, it had been at the invitation of Rhapsados, the auburn-haired man he had only briefly had the acquaintance of. He was not sure what to make of him at first after witnessing his dealings with Weiss, his fated mortal rival, who was also rumored to be at this tournament with Nero the Sable and Rosso the Crimson. All three Tsviets were here having entered this tournament, and where they went, chaos was soon to follow and rear it's lucky head. Vincent had joined forces with Rhapsodos in order to help look for the Deepground elite that Vincent unknowingly had yet to learn was spliced from Rhapsodo's own DNA, but what of the third member of their team? He had not met this 'Artemis' before, and had not even met her yet, at least not clearly to match a face to a name. All he knew that with Rhapsodos's experience and sheer power as a EX-SOLDIER, from what he could gather from the intel he had pieced together and the black wing of his, then Selena had to be a very powerful individual on their side should things turn ugly quickly.
And yet, the tournament had already taken an unexpected turn; instead of entering the tournament to fight at the same time, as he had heard Cloud, Tifa and Yuffie had done before in the past, they were fighting alone on behalf of their team. And from what Hades could gather, Sora was here as well, and the Lord of the Dead was gunning for him. He had only ever heard the boy from word of mouth from Cloud and the others, but he would do what little he could offer, but from the shadows. It was probably best he did not let Sora know he existed; and he preferred it that way, for the boy had enough on his plate to get caught up with the target on his back Deepground were gunning for him. It would only be a matter of time to see how things would pan out before he could offer his deadly aim, unseen by the keyblader's eyes.
No, of course he would not be facing his own teammate, that would be rather crude but also contradictory. Instead he was facing some unknown young man with red hair and green eyes, someone whom was definitely not from this world but whom he didn't think he had met before. The weather today in the coliseum was fair and sunny for the moment, perfect weather for spectators to sit in their open seats on both sides of the arena. There was a slight humidity Vincent could feel, but he didn't think it was that hot as he watched his opponent take his shirt off, which then became obvious from the man's suggestive glances and the females in the crowd he threw it to it was clearly for showboating. Or was it?
Vincent made a mental eye-roll to himself as he continued a unimpressed stare at this Magic Mike, who clearly didn't seem to understand women - at least, not the sophisticated types - and focused on the other details this man had given him. He clearly didn't have any other visible weapons on him, unless he was going to summon it, but the bare chest suggested he fought with his fists and was a close-range martial artist like Tifa. But there was something else... while the man had no shirt and his pants were unfortunately well fitted (unfortunately as in both figuratively AND literally), while there was no wind currently at the moment... his hair did seem to move around as if blown by a wind. Some sort of power-up? Before he could deduce what this meant, Vincent pulled his handgun Cerberus out and raised the barrel at his opponent, as he braced for battle and moved to avoid the rocket-like kick coming for him, but the kick planted squarely into the thick square of his chest where he felt the heavy hammering of his heart from the other side.
He hadn't anticipated what the whipping of hair had meant in time quickly enough to completely dodge the kick, but Valentine felt that whip of a aura of wind around the young man as he planted his foot into him, understanding winds must have propelled him forwards as he was knocked backwards. Instead of stumbling, he rolled as he spun horizontally in mid-air backwards, before coming out of the barrel-roll and landing in a crouch with golden-gauntlet hand planted palm-down on the ground, his magnificent wide crimson cape flaring out behind him in it's mystical intangible-like manner. Perhaps alluding to his foe the horrific monstrosities that lay beneath it, but Vincent would have to test this athletic individual first to see if he could survive them and not have them outright kill him. He wasn't here to unleash Chaos - Deepground would be - but not the actual demon within, but rather the formless type. Speaking of unleashing, soon after the kick in the next instantaneous moments the melee fighter came at him with a solid punch to the face followed with a knee to the abdomen, after a flip over him of course.
Unfortunately for his opposing combatant, Vincent was used to such speeds, at least once he was facing an opponent he registered was capable of using them. Call it a trial-and-error basis, but now the opponent's kick had come at Vincent so fast, the follow-up attacks he expected to be just as lightning-jabbing came slower in comparison. At the slightest flinch of the punch, he ducked underneath it as he spun away and around into a coiled crouch, but did not attempt to evade the knee. Instead, he met it - with a unleashed kick from his equally solid sole of his golden-pointed shoe. Regardless of if the kick was met with crippling pain to his kneecap the unnamed man could shake off or not, Vincent followed up the second half of his own two-hit combo with a second kick to plant the flat of his foot again on the man's chest, and also regardless if this hit or not flipped backwards in mid-air before firing a shot from Cerberus with direct accuracy to attempt to graze him around the underarm while his limbs were still raised from assaulting him. Or, possibly in retaliation to his counter.
He landed in a crouch again, raven-black hair brushing around the frame of his pale face, but not from wind. Just by his moment, as well as the tattered fringes of his cape, everything else in motion of this battle was moved by sheer determination but also integral back-up plan after coldly calculated battle plan. This man had his fans not to disappoint, but he had lives to save. Whether they were going to act upon them in this tournament, sooner or later Deepground was out for bloodshed. A pack of bloodthirsty hounds, even a three-headed dog out for bones to snap, innocent lives that had just come for a intense blood sport. And this ex-Turk now turned gunslinger was not going to stop until he found them, and had everyone else saved from them.
---
Action one: Two-hit melee combo, one sweeping kick to the knee targeting Vincent, the second aiming for the chest.

Well this was rather interesting… and not in a peculiar piquing one’s curiosity way but more so in an annoying and completely illogical sort of way. Indeed, despite the fact that his first attack landed squarely on his opponent’s chest as opposed to the face (a minor set-back) he didn’t seem the least bit winded. Normally when one was hit squarely on the chest around the diaphragm they would have the wind knocked out of them and be somewhat disoriented. Speaking of wind, there was another illogical thing happening, despite landing his attack it seemed his opponent could somehow move despite the additional effect of Wind Manipulator. This would be displayed when Felix’s next set of attacks flew out at his opponent, the spinning back fast to the temple and the knee to the abdomen. Somehow, his opponent was able to resist the immobilizing effect of Wind Manipulator and crouch under his spinning back fist and even retaliate no less. The retaliation was in the form of the opponent attempting to have Felix’s knee land squarely on his metal boot which worked out marginally well. Yes, the knee crashed into the metal boot and while it wasn’t a pleasant feeling with the adrenaline already pumping it was easy enough to ignore. Not only that but it wasn’t like Felix was new to fighting, his body had been hardened from both training and battle so he could take this much easily. Oh and let’s not forgot that Wind Manipulator had a tendency to make physical attacks glance or miss completely, this being a case of the former. More importantly though I would like to know what act of God is letting him ignore the suction of that vacuum I left when I hit him, he thought although didn’t pay the detail too much attention. After all he had more important things to deal with like the incoming physical attack, one that was doomed to failure thanks to Wind Manipulator. Indeed, it was a nice benefit of having wind surround one’s body in that nearly any physical attack would be redirected rather effortlessly. Thus when the rather oddly thrown kick came at him, it would become a glancing blow on the left side of his wide and scarred chest. It was at that point his opponent would then attempt to backflip to get away, jumping rather high and leaving himself rather open to attack. While it could be a trap considering his opponent had a bit of time to analyze his technique by now, the red-head didn’t care. Even if it was a trap the unnecessary flip would make dealing with any attack Felix threw rather difficult and without hesitation he ran forward. Yes, he sprinted forward as a shot rang out, once again his Wind Manipulator redirecting yet another attack as he jumped to catch his opponent. Accompanied with this jump was another gust of wind to propel him faster and make it that much harder for his opponent to dodge it. Assuming that the speed proved a bit too much to handle while performing a silly backflip, Felix would attempt to slam his palm into his opponent’s face and grab it. In doing so, it was quite likely he would break the opponent’s nose as gravity did the rest, presumably forcing them both to the ground. The result if successful would be a rather devastating attack, a broken nose most likely, his opponent’s head smashed into the ground, and his back slammed against the concrete too. Yet that wasn’t enough for the freelancer to be satisfied, he had to completely decimate his opponent and leave no room for a comeback, he had to be absolutely brutal. This was a fight and Felix wouldn’t be pulling any stops or allow his opponent a chance to stand back up like some “honorable warrior” type might like an idiot. He was a human after all and while he hadn’t confirmed if his opponent was something more than human quite yet, considering he had seemed unaffected by Wind Manipulator… oh yeah that was still active wasn’t it? Indeed, another result of that attack would be that his opponent would presumably be immobilized as well if he took the hit as intended. Who knew, perhaps this time it would have more an effect assuming the attack was effective but whether that held true or not, if the attack landed at all Felix would continue his assault. Nothing was going to stop him from attaining victory, not a shred of hesitation, not a shred of remorse, and not a shred of “honor” would be displayed in his fight against the cloaked stranger. That being noted, if the attack was indeed successful, Felix would then attempt to mount his opponent from Vincent’s left side by placing his right shin on the man’s stomach. He would then shift his weight over and quickly mount the man and if successful in getting the mount begin to rain punches down on the opponent’s face without mercy. He would throw punch after punch varying the angles to make it harder to defend against and wouldn’t be stopping short of his opponent conceding victory to him. Well that or if his opponent had some sort of idea to get out of such a dire situation assuming he was put into it anyway. Indeed, it all hinged on his first attack being successful to get this follow-up and if it was unsuccessful than we would simply have to see how the freelancer dealt with whatever came at him next. Wind Manipulator – Duration has expired but all attacks made in this post will have the additional damage and the immobilize effect added.
2 Post CD START
Actions Used
1st Action – Use of Wind Manipulator to add forward momentum to the palm strike aimed at Vincent’s face while in mid-air which would shift into a slam to the ground if successful due to gravity. The head would slam on the ground first before the rest of the body taking the brunt of the force assuming nothing is done to counter.
2nd Action – Attempt to get a mounted position on the opponent and then follow-up with a ground and pound, punches thrown at various angles toward the head to make it harder to defend against.

I thought once I was struck by it's effects, Felix would describe that I was going to be immobilized, and then I was going to act it out in this post. I wanted to edit my post along with Felix to correct this and make it smoother for the readers to follow, but unfortunately Felix declined. So I will be acting out the effects of being immobilized between the last post and this one, along with any other effects, to rectify this and straighten it out. Thank you, and sorry Felix, you gave me little choice to not to co-operate.)
Sometimes, mistakes had to made in order to realize that they are mistakes. Trial and error, no living being could ever get it right the first time to win a fight against a powerful opponent. Vincent had encountered that many times in his lifetime - fights against monsters and enemies in Cloud's party to learn their weaknesses, the fight against Azul where he had been invulnerable to most firearms, even the fight against Weiss when it was a mental battle to learn to use Chaos rather than restrain or force it. A learning curve was a very powerful tool, as knowledge was power, and it was only through constant labors and struggles did humans ever get it right and conquer their own personal challenges. It conditioned the human spirit and body, tempered them to make them stronger not only of the former and of the mond, but the heart as well and the widsom within it.
This is what Vincent was contempating as he was fighing this seemingly tougher-than normal melee fighter who was his opponent in the ring, as the first flying kick had come to his chest instead of his face. Sure, the kick had somewhat pushed him back and it hurt like hell, but much like Felix Vincent had been weathered to fighting melee fighters like and even stronger than he was, and so much like the metal armored shoe to the knee that was to follow after it was just as easily 'shrugged off', so to speak. Vincent still had a young body, and it was all he could do, he was not about to show weakness to clutch his heart, or have a heart attack just from the first brutal kick. If anything, the area was bruised, but the bulky chest muscle there at least cushioned some of the blow to the heart muscle there. As the kick had hit home though, Vincent felt a strange sensation, one that felt like the magic come from the aura around the younger male.
He looked down to his feet, and felt his felt anchor to the ground somewhat - no heavier, just like they could not move freely. As if something was constricting them, and before he could contemplate or test the subject, his opponent was upon him with the next attack. The two-hit combo started with a brutal punch, and with Vincent having felt some kind of magic bind him to his location, he didn't risk jumping back and ducked under the punch instead. The second attack was the knee to his abdomen, which gave him his chance to test what magic had done to him, as a knee would only hurt and not do so much damage as a fist. He was able to jump, but he could only jump on the spot - the feel of magic locking him to his co-ordinates on the earth, but not pinning him like a heavy object to the ground like Gravity - and so could only hop as he lashed out and tried to counter the knee with a kick that was 'shrugged off', but also it seemed to glance off as well.
Next Vincent followed up the kick that was the first kick in the combo, and came with the second in the form of another kick. This kick was aimed to the chest as Felix's first kick was, and like that kick his own did hit home as well. However, like his first kick, this kick did not hit the spot Vincent had intended, as if the magic was somehow guiding his attacks away from the fighter's body. This was when Vincent quickly realized melee attacks were not going to work, and so had to try a different approach. The kick having at least landed, even if it was off it's mark, Vincent kicked off the red-head and flipped backwards quickly. This had two benefits, one for pushing off with momentum like a Olympic swimmer in a pool turning around in a lap, and the sudden 'unnecessary' flip was also more aerodynamic and faster than simply jumping backwards with more wind resistance.
Wind being the theme in mind here, but what point was it if Vincent could not move due to having a Immobilize spell cast on him? The answer was simple. When a unstoppable force hits a immovable object, even when physics met magic, there could not be both. A immovable force, such as Vincent under a Immobilize spell, could not be moved by any force, and thus any momentum from himself or Felix to move him would cancel it out. So then why flip to give himself momentum, and make himself more aerodynamic? For the bullet he still planned to fire out of his gun, which even while coming out of his flip, would be meant as not only a surprise but with more momentum coming out of his flip the bullet would not curve straight ahead, but upward to hopefully cause more damage. It was the same effect, called the Coriolis effect, an analogy being the same as throwing a ball from the center of a merry-go-round that it's path would always be curved which was the reason why winds in a tornado would spin towards it's center due to the rotation of a planet.
It was the only momentum Vincent could have, given the circumstances, so he planned to make-do with what he had. Unfortunately, it seemed ranged attacks had no effect either, as the bullets were completely pushed away due to the unseen force of magic surrounding the boy. Trial and error was still in effect here; it was like fighting Azul all over again who was impervious to most firearms. He can't be invincible to everything, and bullets are just as physical as melee attacks, Vincent realized, deciding quickly on a new course of action. However, the relentless martial artist was on him and not about to let him compensate for his attempts to inflict major damage. He was following behind him as he flipped, with a powerful palm strike this time, which Vincent braced for yet otherwise seemed to allow Felix to come forth and do... but before Felix's palm made contact with Vincent's face, the man in the crimson cape threw the very article of clothing around him... and disappeared, leaving Felix having palmed down only a large clump of the gunman's cape to pummel into submission.
How? Vincent had activated Crimson Phantom, for Felix was not the only one who had different forms, and Vincent had been planning from the very start to trick the close-range fighter into the foolish choice of coming too close to Vincent Valentine aggressively. A nightmare of horrors lay underneath the cloak in the form of the augemented man, this being the first. As Felix began foolishly pummeling away at the clump of crimson fabric where Valentine had disappeared into, Felix was pulled into a world of curtains and tattered fabric surrounding him, and suddenly constricting and wrapping him tightly into a cocoon of crimson darkness much as his team name implied. Coiling around him like a snake to smother and crush him, except it was a thick layer of intangible demonic cloak. Before Felix could burst out or somehow unpin his limbs from his body, the fabric that had wrapped around him horizontally quickly unwound. Even if Vincent could not move himself from the spot, there was still every chance he could move Felix as he unwrapped him like a dead mummy. Vincent appeared in a flash from behind flared cloak from behind Felix as he was completely unwrapped and his senses restored, but only in the form of him firing a yellow static glow of his Thunder Materia cruely at point-blank range.
Vincent was still rooted to the spot due to Immobilize magic, but he was going to very much use it to his advantage and turn weakness to strength, and make Felix pay for his mistake if he thought he was going to be an easy victim to pin down and beat to submission. He wasn't going down, not yet, far from it. It would be a foolish mistake to think that Vincent did not fire a gun all these years without knowing how to cover his ranged fighting style, which Felix had only gotten a taste of the creepy freak show he was beneath his cape. A swirl of crimson fabric spiraled before Felix now before the Immobilize magic wore off and Vincent became free, Vincent could only be seen in glimpses of gaps beneath passing tears in the cloth, constantly moving intangiably within like a haunted house of mirrors. Then the living cloak of shadows began hopping around from place to place around Felix as soon as the status effect magic had worn off within the allotted time that had passd. Time for Felix to figure out how to solve the enigma he was... if he could before his next transformation...
---
Action one: Transformed into Crimson Phantom to evade the two attacks to pin him down and pummel him. Crimson Phantom (which I have named as seen in Advent Children) A amorphous flying ghostly red form evocative of his cloak, which can move and float intangibly and endlessly on the air and takes up a minimal amount of his power, but can only keep up the form in a short period of time like all his forms. In reality, Vincent stays in his normal human form underneath and his cloak becomes a living phantom-like entity around him (as seen in Advent Children Complete).
Attacks: None, but can use his gun if needed.
Changes: None, other than freedom of flight and less body mass.
Cooldown: Two posts.
Action two: Thunder Materia; The basic bolt materia needed to cast lightning spells. A yellow orb of crystal is inserted into the keychain relief of his gun in a flash of light for convenience, and from his gun instead of bullets shoots a horizontal stream of lightning. The first stage of this spell is short-range and can only strike one opponent, but it is the stronger of the spells Vincent is specialized in. (Will be upgraded at a later date.) Cooldown: One post.

OOC - Well whatever the case it seems the end result was the same anyway, you somehow moved and dodged attacks regardless of the Immobilize status effect (and please don’t get into interpreting game mechanics as how status effects work on the board word for word and literally as then we’d have everyone jumping off 30 story buildings without breaking their legs among other ludicrous things). That was one reason among others that I didn’t wish to edit the post as we could have continued on just fine from there. Now instead of rolling with it you’re changing your actions to better suit yourself and apparently control my character and have him punching air. Indeed, I believe I said that if my first attack was SUCCESSFUL I would perform the follow-up you speak of and I don’t think hitting cloth would be considered successful in any capacity. That being said I believe I’m justified in changing how Felix reacts to Vincent’s turning into a cloak thing and will move from there as needed. As for your attack considering that you didn’t word it that it would change depending on Felix’s reaction I will work under the assumption that it will not. IC – Sadly it seemed that his opponent was quite a slippery bastard and it was rather disheartening that his palm strike hadn’t landed properly. Indeed, it seemed his opponent had some rather strange techniques at his disposal, literally turning into the cloak that he was wearing only moments ago. At least that’s what Felix assumed, the transformation could operate differently but it wasn’t exactly like Felix had a lot of time to deduce that. His opponent was already on the offensive after all, his form or rather cloak beginning to wrap around Felix presumably in an attempt to restrict him or choke him out. This only caused the freelancer to grin as with his Wind Manipulator deactivated he could show off another technique that made such tactics terrible against him. Suddenly and without warning, Felix’s entire body would be engulfed in flames, the red-head activating his Fire Manipulator ability to combat this recent development. He had used Wind Manipulator earlier to get a feel for his opponent and prevent any physical attacks from landing properly on him so now it was time for Fire Manipulator to do some work. It seemed logical enough anyway; his opponent was presumably the cloth constricting around him so burning said cloak up did seem like a prudent action. While there was a chance that the material was flame resistant, it was better than doing nothing and allowing his opponent to move about freely. Hell if he was lucky he might even deal some damage to the fool if the flames caught on the cloak when his opponent transformed back. He would have to eventually after all, there wasn’t much the shooter could do in such a form and it would be boring otherwise. This was soon confirmed as the cloak began to ravel itself loose from his body, perhaps as a result of his quick-thinking, the opponent’s vocation, or perhaps both were responsible. Regardless, with his upper-body bare it was easy enough to tell which way the cloak was going, slithering across his body to get behind him. Even in the event he didn’t have the sense of touch to determine that, attacking from behind was the most logical course of action here. That being noted, it wasn’t all that difficult to react as the cloak began unwrapping from his body and he would turn to face where it was going, his orthodox Thai stance following. Upon doing so, he would be faced with a gun only an inch away from his forehead, his opponent having decided to return to human form. Needless to say, a shot to the head wouldn’t exactly end well for a human and without hesitation the red-head made one of the few moves he could. In this case since his opponent was so close and he was in an Orthadox Thai stance, he used his left hand to redirect the shot. In doing so, the bullet or rather Lightning would whiz on by his head as he would attempt to grab his opponent’s right wrist tightly. Meanwhile, the right side of his body would move to strike while the distance between them was well within his range for throwing a punch. And that he would, attempting to slam his right fist into his opponent’s gut as he simultaneously went for the grab on the right wrist. The reason for attempting to attack the stomach was twofold, number one it was much harder to dodge body blows then ones at the head and would sap one’s stamina. Number two, this attempt at an uppercut lead into the next part of his combo that he wished to do since his opponent had his right arm extended forward. Yes, for whether that uppercut landed or not, Felix would then shift his body over such that his back was facing Vincent for a moment. The reason being was that with his hips right next to Vincent he could now attempt to finish to combo with a throw, reaching for Vincent’s right forearm with his right hand. If successful, he would then lift the man over his hips and slam him down to the ground, hoping to inflict a great amount of damage. With any luck the combo would land as it had been done rather fluidly but as always the freelancer would do his best to adapt to his opponent’s response, whatever it may be. Fire Manipulator - By using the same principle behind Mass Manipulator, Felix is able to manipulate the element of fire to his will. When activated, Felix’s body will be covered in blue flames that circle around his body that will cause very minor damage to people that attack him physically (though it will not protect him from any fire damage he receives). As for his attacks, they will all be given Fire elemental damage on top the physical damage Felix deals normally. If attacked directly, the flames will spread onto his opponent’s body wherever struck; causing severe burns for a short duration (2 Posts). The status effect will not be applied if the opponent is attacked with his katana. The manipulator has a duration of two posts and cannot be used with any other manipulator simultaneously and has a three post cool down. Furthermore, after it falls off, Felix will not be able to use any other elemental manipulator for one post. (This technique can be dodged, parried, and blocked with a weapon. However, it cannot be parried or blocked with one’s body, since the flames would spread to the person’s body regardless).
[Inflicts Elemental Exhaustion on Felix] Wind Manipulator
– 1 POST CD LEFT Actions Used 1st Action – Activation of Fire Manipulator to counter the whole wrapping around me thing to a degree although the relative success of that is debatable I don’t believe there’s any canonical proof that the cloak is flame resistant so there’s that. 2nd Action – Counter performed when parrying Vincent’s right hand, going for a grab to keep the opponent in place whilst sending an uppercut to the gut. Whether the first part of the combo is a success or not, Felix will attempt to follow it up with a throw over his hip, slamming the opponent into the ground. If either part of the combo is successful, the Burn status effect will be inflicted on the opponent dealing burn damage to them for two turns.

Felix... by the time the Immobilize effect wore off, it was at the end of the post at the end of the round it was meant to be inflicted, so I was allowed to move, if it hadn't worn off by the end of this post it would still be in effect during your turn. Which it's not meant to do, according to your powers. And I don't know what you're going on about with game mechanics or what not, but play Kingdom Hearts sometime and watch as Sora falls off buildings without breaking his legs. I didn't change my actions, only interpreted them to how the Immobilize effect would work while Vincent is inflicted with it, which is what YOU wanted and to be fair. And I was NOT controlling your actions but rather assuming what you did since you still made contact with Vincent, just not his body, but rather his cloak. Just like how you assume that my attack will not change, depending on how Vincent will react to Felix's action, considering I did not 'word' it that I would. Fair's fair we both make assumptions that aren't proven to be true, friend. As if that needs to be a rule that I need to that it has to be said or 'goes without saying'. Oh, and maybe you might want to try taking some damage sometime soon my friend... unless the 'shrugging off' the kick to the knee was considered damaging.)
... However, it did indeed seem quite saddening how one man could evade the threads of his own fate. But was that not survival? If it was a man's fate to be defeated or die at the hands of his opponent, was it not considered survival for a man to defy that fate and fight against his quickened demise? If he had a greater destiny, was it not that to be challenged and toughened by adversity to complete it no matter how overwhelming the odds were against him? Assumption was a dangerous game, one no man was guilty without in the course of pursing said destiny in his sights, it was only human to fall or conquer as it's risks of completion after all.
Vincent Valentine was never one to believe in destiny or fate; and he knew the difference between both. Was it his purpose of his destiny to fight this man? Hardly. Would it be his fate to be defeated by such a mere man? Not if he could help it. He didn't have anything personal against his targets, but they were still targets all the same for the threat level they brought. If this man stood in his way to prevent his progress from getting any further from meeting them, then of course he had to do everything he could to stop him and get him out of his way. Everything of course, short from killing him, and he hoped he would not have to resort to that. Not only for his own progress, but for his own survival as he was sure this man would try to beat him to a bloody pulp if he gave him a chance. The key word there being, try, sad that he was a 'slippery bastard' but not for Valentine. He had fought with strictly close-range fighters before and knew how to swiftly dead with them.
With his cloak wrapped around Felix, he felt within his folds the man try to set himself off literally, like a living bomb as heat crept into the cocoon he had wrapped him in. The caped man did eventually unfurl the young man from his cape in a slingshot motion, smoke rising from the crimson cloak... but no flame. Even if any fire had spread onto the cloak, which had transformed into a demonically empowered living veil, the material wasn't very flammable at all. The crimson demon hardly had any time at all to dust the smothered smoke off his cloak, as he fired the trigger of Lightning Materia from his gun, as the man somehow predicted where he was coming from. He unpredictably turned around in time with no logical sense of how he had predetermined it, to use his left hand to crudely deflect the shot away from his head. The young male tried to grab him most likely in order to perfrom a close-up martial arts attack, but Vincent quickly pulled his arm away out of the man's grasp, and jumped backwards before he could complete the rest of his combination.
With the moving air around him gone and now a burning blue firey aura around him, it was easy now to predict what sort of fists-only fighter this was. He was using different elemental spells to empower him, and most likely if he landed any of these moves it was going to prove critical, but also the power of the elements showing it's hand gave Vincent cause to spot a weakness in the fighting style. In addition to that, it was more than likely possible he could absorb the same element, or at least be immune to it, although there was only one way to find out and Vincent would have to decide later if he would risk flipping that coin to help or hinder him. For now, he would still have to guess that the elemental auras could still make him impervious to physical attacks... but by how much?
As the ex-Turk jumped backwards a fair distance from the red-head, he fired, as a large crystal burst forth from his gun as a flash of light shone from his gun's keychain relief. The elemental spell from his Blizzard Materia frosted forth, chills through the air and small snowflakes trailed after the moving projectile as it homed in like a heat-seaking missle on it's heated source. Upon contact if the large ice crystal-like bullet hit which was aimed at his chest, it would not freeze the target, but still make a considerable if not large amount of magic damage upon any sort of contact when it exploded into ice shards. In Vincent's mind, most fire elemental beings were weak to ice, although if not then it would still have to get past any physical-resistant wall the auras still had up. He landed only a few feet away from the magical wall that had sealed them in for the match, to protect the spectators from stray attacks.
Upon landing on the ground, in another flash of light another firearm appeared into his hands, this time his rifle Hydra. This weapon did more damage the further he was away, and quickly followed up with three shots with deadly accuracy. Ensuring whether his crystal had hit or not before he shot his gun, he aimed one shot at the evasive bastard's temple, another to his stomach, and the last one to cripple the thigh on his lower right leg. All the while, his Crimson Phantom form swirled around him so only glimpses of him could be seen between the tears in the fabric, shooting through his own cape as a ring of fire burned around his projectiles just as before. Even if somehow his foe had found some miracle to dodge his magic and most of the bullets, he could at least attempt to cripple his opponent's leg or make him bleed to slow down his advances from getting too close. Even if he somehow managed to close the distance behind him while he was jumping to get away, the spell and the bullets would reach him first having to cross the distance, and Vincent would deal with him harshly if he didn't take the hint at attempting to deflect a lightning-quick shot out of nowhere again.
---
Action one: Jumped back and shot Blizzard Materia at Felix at the chest, which is homing and explodes into ice crystals upon contact. Blizzard Materia: A ice-blue crystal orb summoned in a flash of light to Vincent's keychain relief on his weapons. Using this simple materia, Vincent shoots a bolt of cold from his gun, which has homing capabilities and follows after it's target. Cooldown: Two posts.
Action two: Changed weapons to Hydra and shot three off-the-hip bullets in fast succession at his head, stomach and lower right-hand thigh. Hydra: Dubbed for his long-range rifle with sniper capabilities, Hydra can be summoned to his hands to shoot from a long distance. If paused to aim precisely at his target, the bullet can be ricocheted off the flat surfaces of the environment for creative shooting. Can be interrupted while he is charging. Duration: One post for off-the-hip shot, two posts to charge for a ricochet shot. Cooldown after use: Once per following post. Cooldown after switching: One post.
Currently on cooldown:
Cerberus: Can switch back on next post.
Crimson Phantom form: Three round duration (approved by Tseng), two rounds left.
Thunder Materia: Finished one-turn cooldown.

OOC: I was referring to my first combo, the back-fist to knee which you still evaded despite being immobilized (a rather impressive feat since I had sent the attack from behind you and how you would be able to turn around when you interpreted “Immobilize” as your feet being glued to the ground is perplexing). Also before you get on my case for not taking damage I believe you may want to take a look in the mirror considering you’ve evaded everything but my first attack. None the less, as much as I’d like to banter ALL the finer details with you, I’d rather continue with the fight even if you purposely go against my wishes in terms of how we handle this (which is ironic considering I went with your wishes in that MT raid not too long ago in regards to your time expiring for posting) and suddenly add durations to your abilities (which by the way, three posts isn’t a “short time” according to your technique’s description and the fact you had already begun counting the cool down in the post prior makes me ponder the sudden addition). That being noted, let’s keep the OOC chatter to a minimum and continue on with this fight that has been steered in this unfortunate direction. IC: And yet again his opponent seemed to have god-like reaction time, able to withdraw from where he was standing and evade Felix’s next attack. It was quite perplexing to the freelancer, how his opponent could seemingly move so fast with no magic seeming to assist him in the matter. Sure if his opponent could reduce his mass or had casted one of those time magics on himself it be plausible but this was surreal. He had evaded the combo he had sent his way from behind despite the fact that said opponent should have been completely unable to move. He then dodged the palm strike the red-head had attempted to land whilst the fool back-flipped right in front of him yet somehow dodged that. Indeed, he literally transformed into his cloak at that time and slipped past Felix’s attack and had attempted to constrict around the freelancer immediately thereafter. He was actually glad for that attempt though as it helped him determine where the next attack would come from when the cloak rubbed against his body. Indeed, that sensation of touch had told him the cloak was moving backwards and that was a logical place to attack from anyway. Whatever the case, he would simply have to deal with his amazingly slippery dance partner who was far too much of a coward to fight. And with that in mind the freelancer would release a deep breath as his eyes focused on the target that was in a seemingly hittable form. Yes, it would seem to attack the man had to take his human form momentarily and would thus be open during that time only. At least that’s what the freelancer figured although he was equally impressed that his opponent could somehow maintain that form whilst shooting magics his way. For soon after jumping away the man shot a blue orb at the freelancer which he had to assume was either a water or ice spell. Given that he was on fire it would make sense that his opponent believed that to be a suitable answer to respond to that change. And to an extent it was, magic attacks were troubling for the freelancer but he would take the sudden change in pace in tandem. In fact, a giant grin would curve against his face as pivoted on his right foot and sent a right cross at the ball of ice. Upon impact with his fist, the ice would shatter and the shards would spread about, scraping up the parts of his arm that were unprotected. Some of the shards had also scattered past the rest of his body but most of the damage had been done to his fist. Such an action would probably be seen as foolish to most and perhaps it was, the freelancer had some other options available at that time. He could have used his forearm guards to block it or attempted to evade it but he figured he would take this one for now. Considering how things were going right now, it was becoming apparent that he may have to pull out his trump card a bit earlier than expected. Yes, even with an opponent as slippery and with god-like reflexes as this one, surely that attack wouldn’t miss, that would just be insane. Thus he would have to take a bit of damage for it to work and well usually most opponents found someone rushing headfirst into damage rather… shocking. Plus, why not give his opponent a pleasant handicap? His right fist was now in a state that would make it incredibly difficult if not impossible to use to battle. Yes and after punching the opponent’s ice spell, the freelancer had little time to squander as his opponent was pulling out a heavy rifle. Taking even a single shot from that could quickly spell doom for the red-head so evasion now was of the utmost importance all things considered. His options were limited but there was one way out of this situation that would also allow him to perform a counter attack as well. Thus without hesitation, the freelancer would deactivate Fire Manipulator and immediately switch over to his signature technique that saved his life countless times, Mass Manipulator. With his mass suddenly reduced twenty times over, it was an easy feat to move out of his opponent’s line of fire in an instant. In fact, he had done so as the shots were still ringing in his ears and would run to the side opposite of the gun. Although with all that momentum behind him, it would be a waste to simply use it all too just dodge his opponent’s attacks wouldn’t it? No, he had to give the audience a show after all and since his foe was in a semi permeable form that could be seen through the cloak why not? Thus as he got into range for the attack, Felix’s left hand would shoot up to the hilt of a katana as he drew his blade and brought it down swiftly. Yes, he had yet to use his katana but since his opponent was most likely under the impression that he wouldn’t use it, than the likelihood of success was higher. It would be a logical deduction after all, while the sword still paled in comparison in terms of effectiveness, it was better than fists when combating an opponent who wielded guns and some cheap spells. He couldn’t be sure that his opponent had made that assumption but it was likely and well using the sword was a good idea regardless. It would increase his range of attack and since he could switch the blade’s mass, the damage that would be inflicted if successful was troublesome. Yes for not only would the blade’s mass increase to 3,000lbs at the point of impact, it still had all that velocity coming with it. With his entire body having its mass reduced, pulling his sword out of his sheath was incredibly fast, that would put an Iaido master to shame. Considering the sudden increase in speed that would much faster than his earlier display, it was rather likely that this would catch anyone off-guard. There were no guarantees though of course and Felix would simply prepare to bring his big plan to fruition and use one of his other techniques, this one named as Elemental Mastery. It didn’t show any visible cues but it would lighten the load on his mind that the use of his manipulators often caused him to experience. Sadly, to activate that technique he had to return his mass to normal to focus on it properly. As he did so, he would take a few steps back from his opponent, watching him closely and awaiting his next move whilst he maintained his incredibly peculiar transformation. - With this ability, Felix is able to manipulate his mass at will as well as any objects he is currently holding. The max amount of mass he can increase in regards to his body is times twenty and vice-versa in reducing his mass. In regards to objects he is holding/touching, Felix can increase their mass by 1000 times and reduce them down to the mass of a simple feather. Due to the immense strain this ability causes on him mentally, he is only able to use it for three minutes (three posts) before having to deactivate the ability. Not only that but after deactivating it, recovery time takes at least 2-4 minutes (2-4 posts) depending on how many times his mass is manipulated during the minute it's active, 5 switches being the max (1-2 switches, 2 post CD, 3-4 switches 3 post CD, and 5 switches 4 post CD). (This ability has been upgraded from it's 'switch' limit, the duration and it's cooldown (Only able to use it for one minute, recovery time takes at least 3-5 minutes (3-5 posts) depending on how many times his mass is manipulated during the minute it's active, 3 switches being the max (1 time, 3 posts, 2 times, 4 posts, 3 times, 5 posts) from raid #71 reward, 6th of December 2010.) Current Mass = Normal / 2 Switches Used / 2 Post CD START Fire Manipulator – Deactivated, CD REFRESHED Wind Manipulator – Cooldown over, usable next post Elemental Mastery - This ability allows Felix to refresh the cooldown on any elemental manipulator that is currently down and ignore the 1 post internal cool down on elemental manipulators when used. This only applies to the abilities themselves and not the combo attacks nor his limit break. This ability can only be used twice per thread and has a cooldown of five posts. Additionally and through rigorous training, Felix has developed a greater mastery to allow elemental abilities to pierce nearly any defense. In the event that a creature is immune to any elemental damage, this aura will allow Felix and his allies to deal full elemental damage regardless. In regards to other players, this aura will simply make the opposition take a 25% increase in damage from elements. This will NOT apply to shield abilities and will only apply to resists/immunities/absorbs. This part of the ability can be activated at any time and will last for two posts and a three post cool down. THIS COOL DOWN IS SEPARATE FROM ELEMENTAL MASTERY'S OTHER EFFECT! (EX #1 - Ruby Weapon absorbs Fire/Ice/Lightning/Earth and is immune to Water damage. This would allow Felix's elemental abilities to ignore that and deal full damage regardless. EX #2 - Monster X has 50% reduction to all Fire Elemental Damage. This ability allows Felix to deal the full damage regardless of that resistance. EX #3 - Player X uses a shield ability of some sort to block Felix's attack. This ability will stop Felix's attack and prevent any damage from being inflicted.) It's magic that stops you from being able to move around the battlefield. You can move your feet and turn around, even walk, but you are not going anywhere. So I think I'm justified still being able to move around on your spot you pinned Vincent down on, as your Wind Manipulator technique does not define the boundaries of how Immobilize works, and this is how it works in the games. And yes, glad you brought that up, because up to this point until now I was the only one who took damage, aside from whether you could count Vincent's physical attacks 'glancing' off Wind Manipulator, and Vincent hasn't taken damage as of yet because I have fairly justified it my own way and didn't think it was fair I should until you realistically took some like just now. So I honorably will, in turn. Finally, I was talking with Tseng in the cbox earlier about how my abilities could be more fair in this battle since I was grandfathered in from V3 and durations were not considered back then, so Larxene said three turn duration, which is why if you'd read the bottom of my post you'll notice I clearly indicated: Crimson Phantom form: Three round duration (approved by Tseng), two rounds left.) The duration was not considered until the post after I activated it, which was why it was added then to give you something to work with instead of a indefinate duration, which would have greatly hindered you more. So I agree, back to the fight, but those are the facts so I wouldn't complain. Lastly, in case I post this late, I'm quoting the raid rule this tournament is based on so we can continue this fight and see this through: )
There are people in this life that seek to test us. Whether it's harsh lessons from peers or simply someone who rubs us the wrong way, they forge us in conviction and drive. They say every person has a great rival, one that seeks to challenge us constantly, sometimes it is not even a person. Sometimes it can even be the circumstances we are born in, or an object which reminds us of bitter times. But for the most part, with the living world with such diversity in thinking and in ways of life, people inevitably will butt heads and thus seek to clash with one another, therefore making each other stronger with each personal struggle.
This man before him had become one of those people, an obstacle in his way. A roadblock that was stopping him from seeking out Deepground's leaders, who would show no hesitation in slaughtering everyone here. Would this man help him if he knew of the tragedy that would befall this place if such a thing were to happen? Or would he gladly join them, given the right motivation? Words could not sway this battle, it was too late for talk now. Right now it didn't matter if Vincent was trying to be a hero, although he did not consider himself to be or even anything above that, just that this was a competitive fighting tournament and his opponent wanted him knocked out unless he defeated him swiftly first.
Gods had their place in this world, but Vincent was far from it. One did not have to be godly to have a fast reaction time, as much as Vincent had seen. He had seen the birth of a man who thought he could become god, born from his former lover and a sadistic scientist who held progress over life, but the man had been cut down time and time again as only human like himself. More human than he, nor any other he had to struggle with in deadly combat. Hojo had made his body near-indestructable, but not completely, and he bled and sweated just like any other man who fought for their own cause.
He had managed to move and clevely figure out a way to evade his opponent's attack, all while rooted on the same spot he had been because of the elemental wind magic sucking him down. His reaction time was just as quick as Felix's, another man just like himself, only enchanted in different ways by different fates. Perhaps even greater, what with his battle with Weiss as Chaos, as his Chaos form did not significantly enhance his senses and reflexes in any way. Only to release them fully from its host... himself, Valentine. Just as Felix could be quick enough to deflect his Thunder spell, he in turn could dodge, duck and weave around a punch aimed to the face or a palm strike, as that was his fighting style to evade close physical attacks of his opponents getting too close, while relaying gun fire back at them.
But he could not evade all of them, the first attack he had taken adjusting back to the same near-instantaneous speed of Omega Weiss catching back up to his nervous system. And neither it seemed could his opponent, finally he would mentally add to himself, as he watched his explosive ice bomb be punched by the martial artist. Perhaps in a show of display that he was stronger than such a 'cheap' spell, but it seemed to have backfired on him as it exploded and shards were shot up his right arm to inflict damage. Vincent made no emotion to show any sort of reaction, too far away to be in the radius of his own spell, shooting bullets at this time to try and get some shots in. He didn't get to see if this manipulator somehow abused the elements to resist physical damage, as the fiery aura died away, and the close-range fighter began to move erratically.
Another elemental aura? No, this one seemed to defy the laws of gravity... unless it was some type of gravity aura if one considered that an element. He blew past and around his bullets as if he was a leaf in the wind, coming up sideways parallel to his rifle. In reaction, Vincent swung around and quickly attempted to switch to a new weapon which would work better in close-up range. Before he could, the weight of the red-headed youth went in the opposite direction from light as a feather to heavy as an anvil, pulling out a katana and slashing out with incredible speed and momentum at his human form within the crimson shroud around him, from his left shoulder to his right hip with full damage.
Vincent staggered backwards slightly, but stopped in mid backstep, and stepped forward again in recovery after showing he had indeed been damaged in some way. It was not as devastating in sliced bones or bloody slashes, but the damage had been done and there was battle damage from his sliced clothes. This new power of suddenly increasing mass could not come without it's drawbacks, but before Vincent could amass a plan with the weakness he had spotted, the man reverted back to his regular normal-weight of a man and started to channel something. And if it was another power, Vincent didn't want to give him the chance to help find out what it was. Switching to his new weapon, the Blast Machine Gun flashed into his hands as Felix took a few steps foolishly back from the gunman and started charging, firing directly point-blank into his chest.
If it had hit, this attack would send his opponent flying back into the conjured arena wall, which had magically sealed the opponents in to face each other was well as a paling to protect the spectators cheering for the both of them from any crossfire. Whether or not this had hit considering the fact Vincent was a few steps away from Felix to have him deflect his gun away like he did with his Thunder Materia spell, he would hop back further a few feet away to gain distance by retreating into his cloak, and the entire cloak bounding around animatedly. Once it bounced into the air and glided for a moment, from within the cloak that still veiled Vincent he fired five shots from a flash of his Fire Materia, all in different angles and trajectories. Some aimed for Felix, two aimed after him if he moved to attempt to hit both the leg of his pants to set him on fire, as he so loved to have been with his fiery elemental Manipulator. And the other three? Aimed not at him... but at the immediate area around him, on his left-hand side, right-hand side and forward. The flames would hit the earth and like molotov cocktails to send up a tall temporary fiery pillar of flame, creating a triangle of it around him that took up half the arena, should he try to use his new power of abusing the powers of weightlessness to try and dodge his attacks. ---
Action one: Switched weapons and used Blast Machine Gun to try to knock back Felix into the magic barrier behind him for damage.
Blast Machine Gun: Vincent can summon this weapon as a attack, and it is instantly dismissed the moment after it is used. Unlike his Griffon machine gun however, the Blast Machine Gun fires at a slower rate, but with the advantage it's bullets can inflict Knockback to an enemy which can send them flying into a nearby wall, floor or surface for extra combo damage. Duration of Knockback: One post. Cooldown once used: Once per following post. Cooldown after switching: Three posts.
Action two: Used all five shots of his Fire Materia, two attempting to strike his legs and the last three to create a firewall around Felix, to hinder his movements should he use Mass Manipulator to float around and dodge future attacks. Fire Materia: A simple fire spell that Vincent can attach to the relief keychain dangling from Cerberus's handle, when Vincent fires his gun it sends a small but fast fireball foreward, which when it makes contact explodes outwards, damaging it's target as well as nearby enemies. If Vincent uses it close enough, it can also damage Vincent himself. He can use it once per post/round for every five posts, and once he has used up those five Fire spells, he must wait five posts/rounds to use them again.
Currently on cooldown:
Cerberus: Finished cooldown to switch back.
Crimson Phantom form: Three round duration (approved by Tseng), one round left.

OOC: Except I kind of DID define how it works, I said a vacuum that sucks you in or in another sense you could think of it as a giant magnet pulling you (or if you watched it Ruroni Kenshin with his ultimate technique whatever it was called). While arguably one could MAYBE still move a bit (hence why I said I might be alright with the duck), a back-flip is rather ludicrous given its description. If you were to backflip you would lose all resistance to the vacuum and fall flat on your face which I believe would have changed things drastically. Plus, as I said, YOU were the one that described it as your feet anchored to the ground which again would make it rather hard to turn but whatever. As for damage, I took your kicks just had them reduced by Wind Manipulator, thats the advantage to techniques like it and Protect, you can take certain blows at reduced damage and dodge others. I was at a 1:1 ratio then (still am) in terms of take one dodge one, whilst you were at 3:1, 4:1, or even 5:1 prior, depending on how you look at it since one of the attacks was negated. I would go into detail about it but again I wanted to keep this OOC chatter to a minimum although I will add one more note. As for the duration, yes I'm sure you added a three post duration to a technique all for my benefit not your own. I just find it strange that the most recent instances of you using this technique you made it last the post used and end the very next post. Not only that but as far as I'm concerned, if you didn't put a duration when you applied for it then you don't add one just because, you wait until you get an upgrade and then add it. Also the duration wasn't "indefinite", you described it as him being able to maintain it for a short time and ask pretty much anyone what a short time is and they'll assume that means 1 to 2 posts at best due to the lack of a duration stated because that's actually a short time. Also I just noticed but I believe you're mistaken, if Crimson Phantom was approved for a three post duration why are you adding a turn? Surely the turn in which you used it counts towards your duration too so it should no longer be active ne? I'm certainly going to act as such since it's supposed to be a "short" duration and while three isn't short it's shorter than four. That and from my understanding that's how all duration based abilities work, you count the turn they were activated in as well. Although considering I plan to use my Limit Break in this post I'm not sure that's all that relevant but whatever the case let us continue. IC: As it would seem, the red-head finally managed to catch his opponent with an attack although he was a bit amazed that he wasn't seeing blood. It had certainly felt like he hit the man's body when he phased into existence although he supposed the force of such a blow would be enough. Indeed, as long as he landed some damage on his slippery opponent that would have to suffice, the more damage he racked up the better. For assuming he managed to put the plan in his head into action, it would be best if the opponent was knocked out immediately. If the fight had to continue after he unleashed his strongest attack, even he couldn't see too many paths to victory laid out. That combo would leave him incredibly exhausted and if his opponent happened to have any healing spells in the wings it could get tricky. Whatever the case, the more pressing concern was the gunman running toward him, something he hadn't expected to see. Thus it caught him off guard when the man suddenly switched to a rather peculiar gun and fired a shot into his chest point blank. Gritting his teeth, the freelancer was sent flying back from the force of the shot and was knocked into the magic barrier behind him. As his back crashed into it, the man coughed up a rather sizeable amount of blood to the ground as he clutched at his chest. More so than a machine gun, that gun seemed more akin to a shotgun considering the force and the stopping power it had. Indeed, the red-head wasn't moving anywhere for the moment so evading what came next was far from possible. Yes, three shots of fire were sent his way and based on their trajectory it seemed that they were being shot around him as opposed to directly at him. That being the case, the freelancer had to figure that their had to be a reason why the man wouldn't shoot right at him. Most likely, since Fire magics tended to explode he had probably planned to hit the freelancer with the resulting explosion. A good enough idea although even in his weakened state the red-head wouldn't simply stand there doing nothing. That being the case, the freelancer would finally make use of the forearm guards he was wearing, blocking each shot before it hit it's desired location. He blocked the one to his right, the resulting explosion now making that arm beyond use for offensive purposes aside elbows. He blocked the one to the left, the resulting explosion also hurting his left arm quite a bit but he could still use it if needed. Lastly, the freelancer would then slam his arms against one another as he took but a single step forward to catch the last fireball. This one also erupted against his forearm guards his right arm falling limp after that one, certainly out of commission for now. Yet more important than his arm, his conciousness seemed to be fading with the great amount of pain he was in. Yes, he could feel his legs tremble as they struggled to support his own weight, the urge to fall over growing stronger by the second. After all, assuming his teammates won their respective matches, his victory wasn't necessairly needed correct? Indeed, if the freelancer had faith in his teammates then he could simply fall over right here and proceed to the next round. He could stop fighting this annoying opponent and save his trump cards for a later match, one that was far more important. If he used it now, there was a chance that someone in the stands may be watching and give that information to another opponent. Hell, for all he knew, Hades might have gotten pissed when he had told him off at the last tournament and was plotting his downfall. Not likely but anything was possible in this world and that rather eccentric deity did seem like the type to hold a petty grudge. Despite all that though the red-head managed to stay standing, a single long breath escaping his lips as his eyes took a different quality. All that could be seen in those eyes was a firm resolve and a focus that would not broken no matter what anyone tried to shatter his concentration. No, survival instinct was kicking in right now and to be frank he didn't like relying on other people in general. While he had faith in his comrades to win their matches, throwing his own match wouldn't be acceptable, he had to give it his all. If his all included showing his trump card this early in the game then that's just the breaks as the saying goes. Thus, the red-head got ready to perform a rather devastating attack but before he did he would activate an aura of sorts. It was another effect of his Elemental Manipulator that would cause others to take more damage from elemental damage. It was a meager amount but any extra amount of damage he could get on his slippery oppoent would be for the best. Regardless, it was after activating that aura that his survivial instincts would kick in due to the rather dangerous situation and he would unleash a rather powerful attack. It would start with his opponent suddenly finding himself encased in a block of ice, preventing all movement and escape. Afterwards, he would begin to run toward the opponent and as he drew closer a pillar of earth would erupt from the ground beneath said opponent. This in turn would send the opponent flying into the air as the ice smashed and deal a considerable amount of damage. Felix would then proceed to run up the pillar and when it reached its maximum height, he would jump into the air and slam both of his feet into his opponent's chest. It was a double axe kick and following said kick a bolt of lightning would come down from the skies, going right where Felix had marked it. This bolt of lightning was so strong that it also destroyed the pillar of earth beneath it into several tiny pieces. Gravity would then take effect on both Felix and his opponent but the red-head wasn't done with his technique quite yet. No, he would then gather up the many pebbles the lightning bolt had created using the power of wind and fling them rapidly at his opponent. This in turn would cause many cuts to be strwen across his body and when Vincent finally reached the ground, a vacum of wind would suddenly capture him. He would be unable to move with said vacuum pulling him in and Felix would be following behind shortly with his left fist pulled back. This fist of his was engulfed with flame and when he punched the vacuum, a massive explosion would erupt in front of him. This explosion would deal a massive amount of damage on his opponent whilst putting some distance between them. Additionally, if the attack was successful, his opponent would be feeling something else from an immense amount of pain. His entire body would feel lax and his skin "soft" sort of say and much more suspectible to and physical damage inflicted upon him. Needless to say, the red-head planned to take advantage of said effect but for the time being he would be trying to catch his breath. Indeed, that attack was rather exhausting and considering that he had taken a considerable amount of damage, he couldn't rush right back in.
Will add it all later when I am not as drunk so sorry if this post a little lackluster, had to finish it up because yeah not going to make it tomorrow if I don't post something today. Hope it shall suffice and stuff!!!!!!

The pace is too fast,
YOU JUST WON'T LAST. | [atrb=style, font-family: Tahoma; word-spacing: 1px; text-align: justify; background: #000000 ; border: 1px dashed #FF0000; color: 2f405e; opacity: 0.9; padding: 10px;] (OOC: While you might think my flips are 'ludicrous', I do not have to justify what actions I want my character to do to you, and I find such remarks derogatory and unnecessary. And while you claim I described it that Vincent's feet were anchored to the ground, the official quote was 'He looked down to his feet, and felt his felt anchor to the ground somewhat - no heavier, just like they could not move freely.' So now weighed to the ground, just that their movement upon the earth could not move about as freely as before, so that was YOUR interpretation, not mine. As for attacks hitting you, your ability is not clear on that either, as you say that they glance but it does not say clearly if the wind makes physical attacks glanced off itself as in pushed away by wind, or glanced to push blows away after they have struck the body. Given that the Manipulators work the closest to auras and the latter was not mentioned, one would have to guess it would be the former, but if you are saying it hits the body maybe that ability needs to be re-written to make it more concise in understanding. Fine, do not believe me, but I also added it for my own benefit to be fair that there is not a duration on that ability. Since it was grandfathered in and duration was not considered at the time, I was not going to cheat and make-up a duration that was not approved by staff, so I asked Larxene what duration my forms should be and she said three until further notice when she had a look and we agreed upon the edit needed to be made to my profile. I hope you're reading this, Larxene. As for the duration about my form, as strange as you may have found it, I don't know why you are still going on about this. I can't make sense of what you're trying to say in your sentences (you say '...and end the very next post.' which in itself is strange because Vincent hasn't finished using this form until the end of this turn/round, unless you mean his appearances in and out of his cloak which if you paid attention to the duration at the bottom of every post is not to be confused with him turning off and turning on his form), but I already explained myself and I will not be repeating myself again. If you want an answer for this paragraph, read the above. Again. Sorry, but I believe you are mistaken. Crimson Phantom form ends this turn, and no, I am not adding a turn because you may be counting from the wrong turn. By true definition of how many turns it should last, yes it should start from the turn I activated it, but I am starting from my turn, not yours. You are using your abilities and counting turn durations by the number of posts, not by actual turns/rounds of a true posting order like that has been used in raids. So I used Crimson Phantom and Thunder Materia, then you had your post and it is my post again. That by all if not most people on the boards is counted as one turn/round. Then in that last post I attacked with Blizzard Materia and Hydra, your post again, and then it's my turn. That's two rounds/turns. Then I attacked with Blast machine Gun and Fire Materia, then it is your turn, and now this post. Three turns/rounds. Not four. Count them again, and you can ask anyone this is a fair and accurate measure of three rounds, as I have been here four years using this method and not a single complaint until you came along. Oh, and happy birthday, I wish I could say I hope you had a pleasant day when you posted this on your day but sounds like from the intention it was anything but being grateful for the well-wishing you have received, to be making the time in giving someone comments in a negative light. You don't need to take your fights so god-damn seriously, lighten up so at least the point of us TRYING to have fun with this match can actually be accomplished and people can enjoy reading it, rather than you whinging about things I've done are unfair that I've changed to be as such. As you keep saying but never put to practice, less Out of Character complaining and more actual fighting, shall we?)
Why bother? Why bother continuing when he had sustained so much damage, while his opponent was being stubborn and refusing to give up? He himself would do what he could to fairly and honorably cut him down, while the other man schemed to raise up and plot his demise. It was the very fact that he opposed him, that he was fighting for his own ideals and values, that his opponent would keep getting back up after being knocked down. Why bother when his opponent had yet to faulter? Why make the effort when no matter what Valentine did, his foe would rise up and continue to attack him time and time again?
What did it matter if the world fell to Deepground and the Tsviets, if they had not already been eliminated from the competition, which Vincent felt would not so easily come to pass? If there were other people down there stronger than them to take them down, so much the better, but what if they did not be there in time or even feel like stopping them if they raised havoc after the tournament? Weiss would do as he did when he was under Hojo's control on his home world; seek to crush, destroy, slice, and purge everything he deemed unfit under the leadership of Deepground, everything that was weak and defied their rule. They would seek to control, to twist around the words of former leaders and great men to justify their savage need for brutal slaughter and murder. In worlds they would conquer and where their might would be surpreme, there would be no hope, if Vincent lost now and had to leave the tournament empty-handed.
He had managed to be elusive and avoid damage so far, but that would not suffice forever. Taking hits, redirecting them and deflecting more hits were the trademark of a monk or a brawler, but not his fighting style. He was a gunman, and was more comfortable kicking away his opponent for a distance or the occasional block with his gun in the most critical movements while firing at close or long range with his weapons. He was naturally evastive with his strafing and flipping as was per his unique fighting style, but his opponent was going to close in and use excessive force sooner or later as per his own fighting style, the two ranges of combat constantly at a tug-of-war with each other. The difference was Vincent could fight at close range for a time as well as his specialty at fighting long range... at least in this form, anyway. With this in mind, his Crimson Phantom form dissipated, leaving only the man himself within the Crimson Cape behind.
First up, his Blast Machine Gun had been fired into his opponent at close-range. It had been done so to catch him off-guard, and he noticed his reaction as he used the opportunity to move from close range to long-range. While the machine gun actually had slower rate-of-fire the same as his Cerberus handgun, each pellet it first did indeed have the stopping effect of a shotgun, able to juggle the most resiliant of enemies in the air until they were defeated. It had managed to be a successful hit, knocking him back into the magical veil used as a crowd barrier to protect the audience.
He watched as his opponent used his shin guards to try and block the total five incoming volleys... for some reason, the two shots he had fired at his opponent's legs had been somewhat completely ignored altogether. If not blocked off by his armguards unseen amongst the explosions, but this was highly unlikely, as he also attempted to block the three shots not aimed at him but the surrounding environment to hinder his movements. Big mistake. The resulting explosions on impact damaged him as well, and completely randered his right-hand arm useless. There was a moment Vincent watched carefully to see if he wasn't somehow using the damage from the volleys to his own advantage, like attempting to turn back on his fire aura and absorb them, but it just seemed to be a very bravado show-off yet not-quite-thought-through attempt on the fighter's behalf. He could sense the weakness in his opponent's legs as they trembled, watched as this and his rendered useless right arm gave the impression he was losing conciousness. The red-head had lost more health than he did, which meant two things. The good news was that it would not be long now before his opponent would have no choice but to admit defeat as his body failed on him, the bad news being this would make it harder now more than ever before as he would fight harder to prevent the loss of consciousness from his body. Vincent prepared himself to finish this, but his opponent would have of course, different ideas. Upon moving, the man in the Crimson Cloak somehow found himself frozen in a block of ice, as the boy looked like he activated a limit break of sorts.
Apparently the miniscule droplets of water found in the atmosphere had been crystalized by the desperation move of the younger male, a pillar of earth rising up to smash into him from underneath, releasing him from his frozen prison as he held onto the top of said pillar for dear life. The brawler would then run up the pillar and kick with both feet into his chest, frazzled soon after by a bolt of lightning. Said lightning breaking the pillar beneath him, a pressurized wind gathering up the earth shards and once again assaulting him with earth as they were blasted up into him, cutting through some of the leather in his suit. Caught in another pocket of pressurized wind, the final element of fire would be struck by the user and cause the air around him to somehow ignite into a explosion, finally freeing Vincent of the impossible-to-evade limit break.
Of course since so much effort was put into the limit break that the resulting damage could not be dodged, Vincent also felt his defenses drop as he underwent the strange new 'Meltdown' effect. But if Felix thought he could take advantage of this to end him, he was wrong. The resulting damage had indeed massively damaged Vincent, battle-damage and blood apparent to him, but any physical signs were soon to be changed as a aura-like cocoon of Vincent's own wrapped around him in his own Limit Break. Bursting forth from the newly hatched egg of horrors came a new nightmare for the katana-wielding martial artist, ravaged fur and agile humanoid body transformed forth of the Galian Beast. While the shirtless wonder was busy catching his breath from his exhausting limit break and was not able to rush in, from within clawed humanoid hands the werewolf slashed forward in a frenzy of a one-two diagonal slash combo, right-hand claw going from Felix's left foot to his temple. The left-hand claw would do the opposite in a mirror version going from his right-foot to his temple as well, before the limit break of the Berserk Dance combo was ended with a massively damage short leap and shockwave from his fist slamming into the ground at Felix's feet.
Again, why would he bother when his opponent would not give in and find a way to turn this around? To find a way in his exhausted, damaged state to pull a victory if he could, gather with the girls fawning over his tossed shirt in the crowd, and revel in the welcoming of a doomed world he was likely to prevent with the Tsviets on the lose here in the tournament? He did not seem like the type what would be able to stop them in place of Vincent, as he seemed more interested in showboating for himself rather than trusting and having faith in his teammates to help fight the menace. So why should Vincent not give up, when people like Deepground continued to conquer and people like Felix supress him? Because, Vincent was the only one who not only could having beat the ex-SOLDIERs and their kin before but would unless he could get like-minded heroes to join forces with, which was unlikely given his present company.
Yes, indeed in a monster form now he did appear to come across as the 'bad guy' here as the crowd cheer them on and would label them as such. But they could not pretend to know Vincent as much as they knew the darkness, that not all who wielded darkness were considered 'bad' or 'evil', and in the same manner the cloak of horrors that Vincent was served to be misunderstood. He was fated to be deeply steeped in darkness, but his destiny was one that strove and lived to serve the light much less the good in humanity and in all people's hearts. He would much rather have hope in a world controlled and inhabited by his enemies, rather than no world at all decimated in total annihilation. Vincent may have entered this tournament in partial amusement to hone his skills to the breadth of their full potential, but he would not willingly give up for the sake of others who shared his ideals of a free and peaceful world who were with him in his heart.
Not by a long shot.

Action one: Transformed into Galian Beast after recieving massive damage from Felix's limit break.
Galian Beast, a bipedal version of a Final Fantasy VII Behemoth and being a more humanoid form with the ability to shoot homing fireballs and unleash seismic shockwaves. He has hightened senses, but loses the ability to talk and reason while in this form, his beast instincts making it hard for him to willingly control. Unable to resist magical attacks while in this form is his weakness.
Action two: Used Berserk Dance while Felix was exhaustingly catching his breath.
Berserk Dance: A simple but effective release of violent rage against a random enemy, hitting them for high damage via claw swipes and shockwaves. Cooldown: One post.
Currently on cooldown:
Blast Machine Gun: Cooldown once used: Once per following post.
Fire Materia: He can use it once per post/round for every five posts, and once he has used up those five Fire spells, he must wait five posts/rounds to use them again. One turn has passed, fur round cooldown.
Crimson Phantom form: FINISHED THREE TURN/ROUND COOLDOWN. Three round duration (approved by Tseng).

OOC: And so the truth comes out and sorry I just have this tendency to point out contradictions and what have you or people’s lack of arithmetic skills. You make these mistakes at an alarming rate and while I could point out a few more (like how I’m so “whiny” yet you were the first to start complaining via that PM and then you going against my wishes and claiming I was being uncooperative), it is growing a bit tiresome even for me. So I won’t be countering your flawed arguments this time around, I’ll allow the contradictions and what have you to simply sit there. That being noted let us wrap up this fight contradictions and all and I’ll take that as a “Happy Birthday” so thanks a bunch pal. IC: After unleashing that devastating attack on his opponent, it wasn’t any surprise that the freelancer was short of breath, his lungs desperately gasping for air. That technique wasn’t exactly easy to pull off after all and he had taken quite a bit of damage to be able to perform it. Yes, those three fireballs that had actually been shot toward him had been troublesome whilst the other two that had been shot ahead were ignored. Perhaps his opponent had thought he would have run at him but Felix’s distinct lack of movement had made those shots wasted needless to say. It wasn’t only that though, that shotgun like blast to the chest was not very pleasant and made breathing that much harder to continue. Yet despite the pain and exhaustion that racked his body he remained standing, there wasn’t a chance in hell he would fall over just yet. After having revealed one of his trump cards to the crowd that was now in a frenzy, the showman in Felix had to top that. Indeed, he had one more trump card to show that was just about ready to be fired all he needed was about another minute. Sadly, his opponent wasn’t going to allow him that minute so easily as he underwent another transformation, becoming a giant monster with some rather nasty claws. This created a small grimace against the freelancer’s lips, not particularly fond of the idea of being slashed to bits by some hulking behemoth. Yet the red-head was an optimist of sorts and with a transformation like that he couldn’t help but wonder just how smart the opponent was now. He couldn’t say for sure but with a transformation like that and the resulting dash into close range combat, it was likely he had dumbed down a bit. After all, even if the red-head was currently injured it was quite obvious that close range fighting was his domain over others. To willingly come in close and try to exchange blows wasn’t the smartest idea especially considering the manipulator he showed off just moments ago. Yes, his Wind Manipulator was the perfect answer toward any physical confrontation and would certainly help him survive for the extra minute that he wanted. With that in mind, the red-head would place his katana back in the scabbard on his back as he slipped into an Orthadox Thai fighting stance. Yet he wouldn’t simply use that technique for defense, no he would also attack and throw back some damage toward his rather foolish beast of an opponent. As the first claw swipe came in and the Manipulator was activated, Felix would pivot on his left foot and send a right Thai Kick. He would attempt to slam it in his opponent’s left calf as the giant claw slashed across his chest thrown somewhat off-course. Yes, despite using Wind Manipulator it seemed even the strong winds surrounding his body couldn’t completely nullify the damage. The blows were incredibly heavy and he could feel the strain on his mind as he struggled to keep the technique active against such blows. Then came the other slash, this one on the opposite side and would be accounted for with the last strike in Felix’s combo against the creature. He would quickly switch his stance over to a Southpaw stance before performing a left Thai Kick aimed at the creature’s right calf. Much like the other slash, this would come across his chest due to the winds surrounding his body and stung quite a bit although was far from enough. No, while it was not as effective as earlier, his Wind Manipulator had significantly reduced the damage from that attack whilst he countered. However, there was one final bit to this combo that his manipulator couldn’t do much against and that was the shockwave that ended the combo. Yes, this sadly was something he would have to take the brunt of the damage from as the shockwave sent him flying off to the side due to his change in position when he had thrown his last kick and attempted to fall back into a Southpaw Thai Stance. Rolling and tumbling on the hard concrete, Felix would come to a stop after travelling several feet as he took to one knee and gritted his teeth. That had certainly been a painful endeavor and standing up now even with the adrenaline pumping throughout his body would not be easy. No, he probably had just enough stamina left for one mad dash toward his opponent when he unleashed a whole new type of hell. Yet if his opponent moved to follow him after that combo he could be in even deeper trouble, assuming his kicks didn’t land quite properly. Yes, if those kicks he had countered with didn’t land properly then the immobilize effect would not take effect on his opponent now would it? This would certainly be quite troublesome for the red-head and thus as a form of insurance he would use another technique he had created recently. Without warning, whether his opponent had begun to move to follow-up, a clone of Felix would appear in front of the opponent, barely visible to the naked eye. The only thing that could really help you make out its shape were the pebbles that were picked up by the wind that formed it. Regardless, this clone wasn’t there just for show though and would quickly send the same combo Felix had used on the opponent again. Without a physical form, it would prove very troublesome to block the attacks and evasion while possible would also be extremely difficult given the circumstances. Yes, this would be the first time Felix would be revealing this technique which would most likely cause his opponent to experience a small amount of surprise. If the opponent were already running toward the red-head to follow up, performing evasive maneuvers so suddenly would be very difficult. Not only that, but even if either kick even clipped his opponent, the immobilization would take effect regardless of whether the full amount of damage was inflicted. This would also apply if the opponent tried to just rush straight through the clone, the kicks would still clip and that would create the immobilize effect. That was in the event his opponent came at him in the first place though, for if the counter Felix performed had worked then that wouldn’t be very possible. No, the beast would already be immobilized and the red-head would then opt to put the clone behind his opponent instead of in front of him. The change in position would be done for the obvious reason of it would be that much harder for his opponent to do anything about it from behind. Whatever the case, the red-head would release his Wind Manipulator and Elemental Mastery for the time being as he continued to breathe heavily. He was getting ready to unleash one hell of an attack after all so he would need to regain all the stamina he could whilst keeping an eye on his opponent. Wind Manipulator – Deactivated, 2 POST CD START! Wind’s Gentle Caress – Another technique developed by untold amounts of hard work and stubbornness that will catch the opponent off guard damn near every time! With this ability, so long as Felix has Wind Manipulator active he can use it at any time and create a clone of himself made of wind. Said clone will mimic whatever his previous combo was and can be created anywhere on the battlefield at a moment’s notice. The clone will be partially visible, the wind picking up any pebbles and small objects from the ground and if any strike from the clone’s mimicked combo connects the opponent will be immobilized for one post. Whether the combo lands or not, the clone will dissipate after the result. Cool Down – 3 Post START Elemental Mastery – 3 POST CD for the first effect left. The +25% damage from elemental sources aura was still active for the attacks made but was deactivated afterwards and thus the 3 POST CD on that effect begins. Actions Used 1st Action – Used Wind Manipulator
and began to counter the first two claw swipes from the opponent with two Thai Kicks. Additionally, Wind Manipulator reduced the damage from the incoming attacks whilst performing said counter by throwing them off course (albeit not as much since they were much heavier attacks). 2nd Action – Used Wind’s Gentle Caress in an attempt to inflict more damage on the opponent and make him immobile depending on the results of 1st action. The location of said clone will vary depending on the success/failure of the 1st action and is described in the post itself.

(OOC: Well let's not forget that you were quick to discredit my actions for the staff to read this later, even though I told you I simply misunderstood how the ability was going to be played out, you didn't believe me. Such as 'Speaking of wind, there was another illogical thing happening, despite landing his attack it seemed his opponent could somehow move despite the additional effect of Wind Manipulator.', such sentences that you thought I ignored attacks and effects happening by assumption ticked me off. Maybe next time you could try to give the benefit of the doubt, perhaps one day we can put this behind us and say past is past, and we can meet in battle next time on agreeable and positive terms.)
Honor is a difficult concept to explain, as it has a different meaning for those who practice in earning and maintaining it. For some there is no sense in it, for others it is material goods and status to keep up appearences, but the most importance relied in one's actions. The true concept of honor by the sense of the word was the act of being noble, to be self sacrifical to maintain high moral standards. It sounded like twaddle that heroes would hold true, but those of less benevolent standards could also uphold a code of honor by avoiding disgrace upon the battlefield and slaughtering their enemies cleanly and fairly. For the mightiest of warriors honor was upheld with integrity of resolve and strength of character, but if anything it didn't seem any honor was not held on the battlefield today, save for the fact that these warriors had to fight with their accustomed fighting style and were resolved not to kill each other as a roaring crowd egged and shouted them on.
But we learn from our past experiences. To change, to grow, to adapt. With what little honor there was between these two combatants, they paid both for it well with a pleathoa of vast practices. The past shaped us for what we are, for what we are doing, and for what we will become. For Vincent, the past had been a painful experience of losing loved ones, atoning for his own self-inflicted past sins, but held a small glimmer of what might be for the future: hope.
For as his opponent faced him down after the limit break-like attack, he was not discouraged, still holding that hope deep within the back of his mind. Not exepectations from the adrenline-running feelings in his heart, just smart resourceful hope from the productive counter-strategies running through his head. Galian Beast may have been a beast, but it did not reduce Vincent's capacity to think, it was still very much himself conscious deep within. Vincent's mind simply gave the beasts he could transform into guidance to their physically altered shaped. He had practiced for many years the strong mentalily needed to safeguard his killer instincts to dominate and take control, from shaking and rattling around the cage that was his brain within the beast.
So when the asinine monk started to attempt to work around his own combo, the anticipation that he was going to engage him in physical combat given the change was incontrivertible. Galian Beast's slashes had come so quickly, as soon as Felix's leg began to make a kick for his left thigh, he was able to react with stepping on his left leg backward, moving it out of shot as he came in for the right-hand slash. When the right leg was targeted, he attempted to do the same thing, moving his left leg back out of range of the right kick, repaying when Felix had somehow avoided the two Firaga shots to his legs. Animal instincts strongly kicking in, he went in for the leap which ended up into a shockwave, sending Felix right back. This was an opportune time to counter, although before he could do it, his eyes spotted before him and scattered before his view of the martial artist a scattering of dust and pebbles. The unnatual way of this in contrast with what little dust and pebbles were kicked up in his wide slashes and the lack of wind in this spectacular sunny event, it only meant that singled out by itself a unseen attack was coming, but before Vincent knew it he could feel the whack of high winds laying into him.
The new attack taking him by surprise, the Galian Beast known as Vincent knew from the gathering of wind around the assailant and his 'glancing' blows meant that it was this annoying wind aura again which touch would inflict a Immobilize effect on him to the ground by magic. Feet still moveable to walk on the ground, yet the magic would prevent him from moving unwhere like he was walking on a invisible treadmill as he moved in place, bound by the binding of that magic. However, this would prove of no problem to the Horror Teller, as he had planned exactly for this occasion after studying his opponent's adherance to a certain type of attack. Despite not being able to move, a gathering of intensely searing hot fireballs gather in the creature's hands, before five of these fire projectles were conjured and shot out to gather around the close-range fighter as the long-range magic limit break of Beast Flare. Stronger than the Fire spell from his fire materia, these would have a slight homing effect and possible knockback from the sheer power, but this time as three fireballs once again exploded in a triangular position around Felix to throw powerful outburst of flame and possibly set the arena floor on fire he also shot the last two fireballs this time at Felix's arms, one for each to cause him intense pain to the right and to further hinder his remaining working left arm.
As for the rest of his attack, now rooted to the floor of the arena next to the magial paling that seperated them from the crowd, Vincent growled intimidatingly as he held either clawed hand on either side of him. Waiting in anticipation for his opponent to attack, having shifted strategy and looking forward to draw him in and turn his soon-to-be next massive attack against him. Reading his opponent rather predictably coming at Valentine with a wind attack that was at the moment near close to impossible to avoid, he would most likely come take advantage of him being pinned down to melee attack against him, where he would be ready to turn the table. He would have to rely on his own reaction time & reflexes in this form with his shifted body weight, and his opponent's underestimation of him in order to turn around the leverage, but since he had been knocked back by the shockwave and was now a distance away from him again, coupled with the surprise of a Beast Flare that would be completely new to him, he hoped the wide range of the explosions and spreading fire catch this man off-guard as his own wind clone had done to him. With the red-head unable to get into range to hit him unless he held him in place, now that he had it was best to make the most of the situation and turn negatives into positives if he was going to come out of this alive and find out what had happened to the Tsviets in the tournament.
The Crimson Demon didn't know about honor; that was Cloud's department. Or at least he didn't seek to gain it, apart from such obvious moral codes like not shooting anyone in the back, even members of Deepground or this cassnova in front of him. He didn't need sneak attacks for his enemies to make simple mistakes, then punish them for them with the malevolence they had done. His past had shaped him, being awakened from the river of time, shaped within it like a smoothed rock by water. Many had been painful, many had been excruciating, but he had survived because of the kindness and good will of others. A code of honor of his own, he supposed, he wished to carry on in the name of his friends, those both lost and/or gone and those that still surrounded him. His teammates were still counting on him, as he knew he could count on them... he had survived a lot of opponents, and he was damned if he would be felled against this one.

OOC: Eh, I had sufficient reason to believe otherwise but in any event let's finish this. IC: As it would seem, the kicks the red-headed mercenary had sent at his opponent had been dodged and that being the case he had opted to use Wind’s Gentle Caress. The result was pleasing; the beast took the attack as intended and was unable to move to follow up on that combo it performed. This gave the red-head some piece of mind, not having been ready to go toe-to-toe with the creature he was facing after that devastating attack. He was bleeding, he was tired, and most of all he was annoyed that his opponent was still standing although to be fair he was rather stubborn in not surrendering. Yes, nothing was going to stop him from achieving victory and even as the giant balls of fire appeared, that cocky grin on his face remained, now wider than ever. Indeed, while it was true that the freelancer had acted to keep distance between the two of them, it wasn’t because he thought his opponent had no ranged attacks in this form. No, the reason he had separated from him was to not have to deal with another physical attack following the last one and to gauge his opponent’s current abilities. Like in Poker, sometimes one had to purposely lose a hand or two to be able to figure out their opponent’s habits and what said opponent was capable of doing. In this case, while Felix was on the ropes in regards to all the damage he had taken, he was far from acting without thinking each and every move out. To think that his opponent might not have a ranged attack even in that rather beastly form would be the epitome of foolishness and Felix had made no such assumption. His opponent seemed to have an endless supply of tricks and guns anyway so it was highly unlikely said opponent would take any form that would leave him disadvantaged. Or perhaps disadvantaged wasn’t the right word, perhaps handicapped would be more apt as that’s what Felix considered himself, handicapped. Yes, the freelancer was handicapped in battle given his fighting style, relying on his fists and only using his katana he needed the extra range or wished to slash someone. Even with that katana though, the glaring weakness in Felix’s fighting style was that he needed to be in close range to hurt his opponents. Needless to say, nearly everyone he ever fought picked up on this weakness and attempted to exploit, whether it was through protective barriers, flight, or firearms like his current opponent. However, what most opponents didn’t think about when doing such things was that Felix was more than aware of his weaknesses in battle and would use them to set traps. That was exactly what was happening here, his opponent was under the impression that perhaps he could stop Felix from moving by shooting more magic at him, knock him out even. Sadly, the freelancer wasn’t about to eat this attack and was going to pay back his opponent for all the damage he took and even get his second wind. Yes, the combo he had in mind would not only deal massive damage to his opponent, most likely knocking him out, but would help him recover from his numerous wounds. Perhaps better than a second wind to describe what was going to happen, he was like a Phoenix that had been turned to ash but would be reborn even stronger. This brings us to the question though, what exactly was this combo Felix had in mind and just how would he managed to pull it off given his current situation? The first step would be to tap into another recently acquired ability of his, Darkness Manipulator, that allowed him to manifest all his bad intentions into a powerful magical enhancement. It had three effects, the first was that it could allow him to camouflage himself in dark surroundings although given his current location such use of the ability was impossible. The second effect was that every physical strike he performed henceforth would have the power of darkness attached to it, making his already heavy blows that much harder to take. Thirdly, and most importantly, every attack he made with this enhancement active healed him from the amount of damage dealt, a 1:1 ratio that could allow him to keep fighting. It was that effect that would turn the tables in this fight around… assuming he could get back into range whilst evading the fireballs that had just been fired forward. This is where the second step would begin, a sphere suddenly appearing around him and his opponent, a dark purple sphere in which everything inside was under his control. Or rather anything inside that had mass was under his control, this included himself and his rather bulky and currently immobilized opponent. With that noted, his own mass would suddenly reduce twenty times over, easily slipping out of range of the explosion of the first three fireballs given the rather ample area this sphere ate up. As for the two aimed at his arms well they were busy trying to follow him with their rather inefficient homing ability and with that in mind, Felix would stop. Where he stopped would be directly behind his opponent, the fireballs on their way back over toward him but would be stopped by Vincent’s rather huge frame given the homing. ”I call this one Gravity Field, I hope you’ve enjoyed the show but now it’s time to draw the curtain,” he started as he pondered how his opponent was feeling with his mass multiplied twenty times over. Indeed, every object or person’s mass in this field was under his control so it only made sense that the red-head would have increased his opponent’s mass too. After all it prevented any attempt to escape the sphere, at least without the use of some sort of teleportation, so why not do so? To allow his opponent freedom of movement while in the sphere would be incredibly foolish and even if his opponent had gotten much stronger physically with his transformation it made little difference. With that increase in strength his entire frame changed and surely said opponent was a lot heavier than he was prior to transformation. How much his opponent weighed right now was unknown to Felix but in any event it was likely that he wasn’t going anywhere fast. If said opponent ended up taking those two fireballs to the face as intended, the explosion wouldn’t send him anywhere given his mass. As for the red-head, assuming the explosion went off and his opponent didn’t somehow cancel the technique, he would manipulate his own mass for a moment to avoid any knockback. Regardless, the freelancer had used this far more than escaping his opponent’s attack and would immediately begin attacking his opponent from behind, throwing several fast attacks. Not only would the attacks be fast though they would be incredibly heavy, each punch, kick, knee, or elbow having its mass multiplied twenty times over at point of impact. Furthermore, each one of these attacks would also have the added benefit of magic damage, his Darkness Manipulator still active and the vampirism effect healing the wounds he had incurred. Yes, with each strike placed at various angles and various places, the freelancer’s entire body would begin to rejuvenate and his right arm coming back. It had to, after all his 1000th strike on his opponent would require the use of two hands as he would unsheathe his blade once more and grip it tightly. Both hands would wrap firmly around the hilt as he brought it up high in the air before bringing it down with all his might attempting to cleave his opponent in two. The weight of this strike, like all the others, would also be manipulated, the blade weighing 3,000lbs upon impact before the red-head finally ended the technique jumping backwards. While he highly doubted his opponent could stand after all that, there was always a slim chance and well he was still incredibly tired after performing so many continuous strikes. Yes, even with the majority of his wounds healed that didn’t change the fact that this battle had gone on incredibly long and that his stamina was all but drained. Every moment he could take to catch his breath was a good idea and if his opponent somehow stood up after all that he would need to prepare himself for whatever attack the opposition decided to throw his way next. – Much like all his other techniques, through equal parts of hard work and stubbornness, Felix has developed the ability to manifest the Darkness in his heart as an actual technique. When activated, a dark haze will surround his entire body and provide him a natural camouflage when in rather dark areas, blending in with his surroundings. Not only does this technique do that but it also enhances all his physical attacks with the power of Darkness, including those with his katana. Additionally, any physical strike Felix lands against an opponent will have a vampirism like effect and heal his own wounds a variable amount (depends on the severity of the blow). This technique lasts for two posts and has a cool down of three posts. It will also inflict Exhaustion of the Heart, preventing Felix from casting any other Heart Manipulators for 1 turn after the technique expires. Gravity Field – When a situation looks grim and Felix has taken an adequate amount of damage, the freelancer’s honed survival instinct will kick in, his mind free of all thoughts and inhibitions for but a moment. During said moment, he is able to focus all of his mind on utilizing his signature move, Mass Manipulator. In this state, Felix is actually able to create a dome (or field) around him and his opponent stretching out about 7.5 meters in diameter. Anything inside the field, whether it be an object or human, is under Felix’ control in regards to their mass. That being said, anyone he catches in this dome will be severely punished with 999 blows ranging from kicks, knees, punches, and elbows. On the thousandth blow, Felix will unsheathe his sword, lifting it high in the air and gripping the hilt with both hands. With his right foot he shall step forward swinging down the blade upon his opponent with all his might and weight behind the blow. Much like all other blows, this one will also be enhanced by a mass change that will make the mass of Felix’s katana upon impact reach 3,000lbs. Needless to say, this is quite a devastating attack and is intended to deal massive amounts of physical damage. 5 POST CD START Wind Manipulator – 1 Post CD left Wind’s Gentle Caress – 2 Post CD left Elemental Mastery – 2 Post CD left for BOTH effects. Actions Used 1st Action – Used Darkness Manipulator in preparation for Gravity Field. 2nd Action – Used Gravity Field to get into position to attack Vincent from behind with 1,000 blows dealing both physical and magical damage due to Darkness Manipulator. Additionally, due to Darkness Manipulator’s vampirism effect, I was healed quite a significant amount am no longer in a critical state to do Limit Breaks should they become available (unless I go into a critical state again).
