A tournament! Somewhere, in the expanse of Loz's peculiar mind, the man knew what a tournament was. It was a gathering of really strong fighters, all brought together to fight and fight until one person came out on top. Only the strongest could win such an intense series of battles. As Kadaj and Yazoo had mulled the idea over, the physically largest of the three silver-haired Remnants had already come to a conclusion; he would be joining this tournament whether his brothers did or not. Luckily, seeing as how it was a team tournament and Loz hardly knew any other people, both Kadaj and Yazoo had decided to participate. The eldest looking Remnant didn't bother to hide the wide, chaotic grin that spread across his face as their participation in this tournament became set in stone.
Loz was excited.
No, no, he was more than excited. He couldn't sit still while he waited for his match to begin, he couldn't stop bouncing in his boots. The young man, dressed in black leather, watched everything move around him with impatient eyes and his arms crossed over his chest. Strange people came and gone, some giving him more curious looks than others, some giving him no attention at all. It didn't really matter to him; none of these people did, really. Only those that he had to fight to win, and only his brothers. He just wished things would move faster already. He'd been standing around in this lobby for forever and he was really looking to have some fun. Ever since he'd come back it had been search for this, think about that, and other sorts of boring things. Loz preferred to talk about things with his fists, as sitting around and discussing things with his brothers was only bearable for a short period of time.
Finally, after what seemed like an eternity to the impatient Remnant, it was his turn to step into the arena of the Coliseum. Loz quickly made himself at home on the hard stone with heavy steps, glancing around at the loud crowd for a moment before checking to see if his opponent was here yet. No, the other man wasn't here just yet, but the Remnant had seen the man's name earlier while he looked at the tournament brackets. He was supposed to be fighting a man named "Snow". A stupid name, Loz had thought to himself when he'd first taken notice of it with a sneer, and hardly the type of name you'd expect from someone who was supposed to be tough enough to fight in a tournament. Then again, their brother of sorts, Cloud, had a delicate name as well, and Loz knew first hand what he was capable of. Though he was still impatient and riled up for a fight, Loz couldn't ignore the sounds of the excited crowd around him. He fed on the energy they gave off, and smirked as he waited for his opponent to show up.
At least this would be more fun than anything else he'd done recently.
[Sorry for the wait and the terrible opening D: Trying to juggle a lot of things at the moment, but I'll be caught up in no time!]

OOC:((It's all good, time to have some fun, yeah?! )) Snow had been sitting around Academy HQ, bored out of his mind, when he heard the news of a new tournament being held from his friend Sora. Snow had been tasked with gathering info on the new organization and what they were truly planning, but then, that was when his friend Sora busted into the room with the news. As soon as Sora informed Snow, he was revved up and ready to hit the tourney, but there was a problem. Sora told him that this tournament was not like the others... Sora told Snow that this was a tournament that required that one be on a team. Sora then told Snow that he could join him and another one known as Namine'. Snow was psyched even more to participate in the tournament now. Not only will he be in the tournament but he would finally be fighting alongside his new friends. Snow couldn't wait to see what Sora and Namine' could do in battle and Snow couldn't to show them what he could do. Snow, along with Sora and Namine', traveled over to participate in the tournament. One they got there, they were told the rules, but it was nothing that Snow hadn't heard before. Snow, at first, signed up for these tournament because he figured he would find someone like Fang or Lightning or any member of his "family", given they were fighters just as much as Snow was. However, ever since then, even though he had only been able to find some of them outside of the tournament; Snow found himself signing up for these types of things more and more. The tournament reminded him of his days when he was being raised in the Sanctum facility alongside Gadot and Lebreau. They would hold small tests, or rather duels, between the students that were enrolled in the facility. It was much like an orphanage and a military school all rolled into one. After all the fighters were dismissed to wait in the lobby, Snow, Sora and Namine', who was a small blond girl, who wielded a keyblade just like Sora, found themselves sitting on the bench together. After a while, Sora and Namine' were called to their respective matches, and soon Snow found himself sitting alone. Snow has always gotten very far in these tournaments but not far enough. This time, Snow planned to go all the way. He planned to win this time. Sooner rather than later, Snow was called for his match. Snow jumped off of the bench he had been sitting on and he left for the platform he was going to fight on. When his name was announced, Snow came out, power walking to the platform. He looked around him to hear cheers...and to see the man that he would face. Snow, as he usually would do, jumped to the platform, clearing the stairs that lead up to it. He examined his opponent. He was bulky; almost the size of Snow himself, if he wasn't already. He had gelled silver hair and he wore a black jumpsuit. He looked to his opponent's left arm to see some form of armored plate. Snow was not sure what it was...but it would seem that this whole fight was going to be fun for Snow, as this was not going to be a sword vs. martial arts type of fight. No...this was going to be a brawl. "That's a cool-looking bracelet you got there, friend..."Snow smirked as he clenched his fists and his trenchcoat began to glow gold. Snow began to activate his weapon, the Wild Bear. The Wild Bear was a trenchcoat of AMP technology which held strength boosting emblems in the forms of various patches that resemble the face of a bear and runes sewn onto the back of his jacket. These patches and runes made themselves known as they began to fade into visibility. Snow then pounded his fists together and got into his fighting stance as the fight was called to begin. Snow then began to circle his opponent with a competitive smirk on his face, Snow wanted to win but he knew very well that this tournament was all in good fun. "I guess you don't mind if I got this "party" started, right?!"Snow opened his palms and gathered energy in them. He formed two balls of energy; one in his right hand and one in his left hand. He was going to attempt to use Ruin on his opponent, Loz. He threw both energy balls both at Loz and as soon as he threw the second one, Snow ran in at full speed toward Loz. Once he got close, Snow attempted a Superman Punch, bringing his right leg forward to feign a front kick, then snapping the leg back while throwing a cross punch with his right hand. Snow was about to have fun! Powers Used:Ruin: This is a non-elemental attack. Snow simply conjures up a medium sized ball of energy and he throws it at his opponent. Snow can throw two at a time. Seemed like all the waiting was about to pay off.
Loz watched with curious eyes as his opponent finally entered the arena. The man jumped into the ring, obviously ready for a fight. He was a bigger man, stocky, and looked like he could definitely withstand a hit or two before crippling underneath the remnant's fist. They were about the same size, and Loz noticed that the man seemed to be lacking any sort of visible weapon. At that moment, he couldn't stop the childish grin from spreading across his face, excited and cocky. This ... strange guy, in front of him, the one he was fighting for the tournament, didn't fight with any swords or anything like that. No, he used his fists, just like Loz himself. The rest of the appearance of the man didn't quite matter after that.
As Snow (Snow? What a stupid name. He's named after delicate, fluffy stuff), commented on his "bracelet", Loz immediately felt defensive. Bracelet?! That's the kind of things that girls wore to be pretty! He didn't wear girly stuff! The Remnant curled his lips into a sneer and glared at the man with the silly hair. He held up his arm to show off the Dual Hound; a weapon that was as destructive as it was painful. He'd shattered columns of stone, human bones, and much more with it. The silver haired man's gloved fingers grasped at the body of the Dual Hound for a moment, while he continued his childish, self righteous look at his opponent, "Bracelets are for girls. This will knock your mouth right off of your face ... Or your head right off of your shoulders."
As he lowered his arm, satisfied with his comeback towards the bulky man in front of him, he noticed the way his opponent's coat was starting to light up oddly. Was it some .. source of power, or something? To Loz, it seemed very weird. Why have something that could get ripped off of you as your source of power? Did this mean that his opponent wasn't strong enough to fight with his fists alone? Not that Loz himself was going in with only his fists, but he certainly could and he would, too. All of his doubts vanished in an instant, though, as Snow took a battle stance. His blonde opponent mentioned starting this match already, and Loz couldn't agree more with him. He took his own stance for battle, stretching his limbs out and curling his fists, as well as adding a smirk to his face.
"Haha .. This'll be fun."
Being the most natural fighting instinct third-of-a-being would really help Loz stand on top, and he knew it well. As soon as Snow opened his palm, the Remnant prepared himself for a magical attack of some sort, perhaps some sort of projectile. What he got was a ball of light, and his immediate reaction was to quickly roll to the side of the first Ruin spell. Coming back up quickly, the soles of his boots grinding into the stone of the arena, the second Ruin spell was sure to hit him, as well as the brick wall of a man behind it. Without really considering the consequences, but having a good enough feeling that the spell wasn't very destructive, Loz batted it towards the ground with his fist. He definitely felt some damage, though minimal, from the spell, though it was hardly a worry. Snow had come in quickly behind his spell with his fists ready. Having just hit the spell to the ground, Loz had already been slightly unprepared enough to see the feint, and raise his arms to block the powerful punch from his opponent. There was a dull ache that followed in his forearms, but it only caused him to grin further; this really would be fun!
Loz let out a loud chuckled before quickly jumping back in a backflip, palming the ground for only a second before he was back on his feet again. Being unnaturally fast for his size, the Remnant charged forward, but before he reached his opponent, he leapt high into the air. The wind only seemed to caress his face for mere moments before he came crashing back down to the ground with his fist, hoping to have landed it on his opponent, and if not, the shockwave caused by the hit should have. His Jump attack completed, Loz quickly drew his fist from the rubbled stone, and stood; ready in case his opponent had dodged and was already retaliating.
-------------------------------
Abilities Used: Jump - Leaping high into the air, Loz quickly comes back down to the ground with a tremendous force, hitting either the opponent or the ground close to them for a hard impact. [Cooldown: 3 posts] Cooldowns: Jump: [0/3]

The fight was on. As soon as Snow opened up his palms to fire his Ruin attack, the crowd went in an uproar, cheering that the fight was a-go. Snow had thrown the two balls of energy with all of his might but it turned out that Loz was no slouch himself. Although the energy balls explode on contact and of course, from what Snow saw, Loz took some damage; Loz was able to knock the second ball away after dodging the first one away. Snow knew that something like that would happen which was why he came in for a Superman Punch. When Snow's burly blow connected, Loz blocked it. Snow, although he knew that someone of Loz's size could take a punch or two or three, didn't know he would brush it off the way that he did. Loz pulled a backflip to get some space in between him and Snow. Snow's burly brawler style of combat required that he be very close to his opponent; it's hard to block someone with such strength if they are so close to you given the velocity and the force the attacks come at one's opponent when they are facing one like Snow.
Snow got back into his fighting stance; right fist balled up to the right side of his face and left hand out with the palm open for parrying. Loz had chuckled at Snow. Snow couldn't get a read on Loz's personality. Snow had thought that Loz would find something clever to say but instead he got mad. The thing was that his anger...looked almost childlike to Snow. It was then that Loz charged forward with Snow tightening up, getting ready to receive Loz's attack but in a surprising move...before Loz reached Snow, Loz jumped high into the air. Snow looked up at him with wide eyes. He then came crashing back down to the ground with his fist. This move was very familiar to Snow...it was his Sovereign Fist attack. Did Loz really know how to do it? Snow thought that if this attack was anything like his ultimate move, he did not want to be around for it. Snow gritted his teeth and used his powerful legs and his power as a L'Cie to jump away from the attack. However, when Loz hit the ground, the platform shook immensely. When Snow landed, the punch didn't get him but the shockwave did as the platform shocked and rattled his legs with its shaking. Snow fell to one knee, not wanting to fall on his butt; he didn't want to be humiliated.
Snow stood up quickly but his legs were still affected by the shockwave. He could barely move because of how the shockwave shocked his legs but it look like Loz was ready to take whatever Snow threw at him for he stood up at the ready. Snow gritted his teeth and let out a small roar. He felt that since he couldn't move as fast as he would like at this point, he would have to rely on magic. Snow couldn't move that well and fluid yet, so he wanted to make sure Loz couldn't move either. And so, he then clenched both of his fists and heaved his fists into the ground with all of his might, using the magic spell Quake. It was a wide area attack that should, in Snow's mind, stem the potential tide that would be coming Snow's way for the time being. Snow looked all around him as the platform cracked in many places. The ground began to shake and dirt geysers began to rise up from under Loz. Snow hoped that this attack would connect, then he would be able to move around without be punished for it before he gained his full speed back.
Powers Used:
Ruin: This is a non-elemental attack. Snow simply conjures up a medium sized ball of energy and he throws it at his opponent. Snow can throw two at a time. (Ready for use)
Quake: Snow will clench both fists and then punch the ground once. When this happens, the ground will shake and the earth will begin to break apart and dirt geysers will rise from the ground from under Snow's enemies, causing huge Earth-elemental damage. (3 post cooldown)

Loz saw his opponent bow down on one knee, affected by the shockwave his attack had produced. He knew that he should have been happy that his attack had affected Snow in some way, the roar of the crowd had been proof enough of that. Though, instead of feeling pleased, the remnant felt upset. This fight was supposed to be fun, and his opponent was supposed to be tough! True, the impact from the spells and the way his arms ached after blocking the man's previous attack had assured him of his opponents strength, but he was expecting more. He was every bit the childish boy, upset that things were not going his way. He cast his green, cat-like gaze down at Snow, who was further away on the field, and sneered at him.
"Come on.. get up," the silver-haired man mumbled to himself angrily, clenching his fists. He began to quickly make his way towards Snow, first as quick steps that soon broke into an all-out trot. His steps were uneven, but balanced as he made his away across the crippled arena floor. His attack had done some heavy damage to the stone, something they'd probably have to fix in between rounds, but Loz didn't care. He stopped short, however, as he saw Snow starting to react. The man stood up, however shakily, and let out an angry roar. Loz twitched his fingers and grinned as the crowd began booming once again, cheering Snow on as he stood. They wanted this fight to go on for a long time, just like he did.
Following Snow's triumphent spark of life, Loz started to dart towards him once more. Though he was still a fair distance away, as this arena was quite large, he was finally closing the gap between the two, and in moments, would be able to shove a powerful fist into his opponent. Snow surprised him yet again, by not trying to charge forward or dart in another direction, but to pound his fists straight into the ground. The remnant skidded to a halt with a curse under his breath, knowing that there would be no escaping this attack at his current range. He had a vague idea of what was about to happen in those milliseconds between Snow's fists breaking into the arena floor and the first eruption of stone. It was very similar to his own quake like attack. But, there was no time, and not enough space-
Loz growled and tried his best to avoid the effects of Snow's magic. He attempted to step away from the cracks that formed in the arena floor, but no matter where his black boots landed, he was much too close to them all. Within moments, dirt geysers erupted from the cracks Snow had formed with his attack. Loz immediately brought his arms up towards his face, but it was a fruitless attempt at defense as the dirt and rocks pounded away at his form. He couldn't see, couldn't breathe, and it felt like the fierce barrage of the dirt was eroding him. He managed to keep his feet on the ground through the onslaught, and backed up a bit until he felt he had solid footing once more. Loz, thoroughly torn from the earth-based attack at this point, raised his own right arm and mimicked the very action Snow had just performed, and sunk his fist into the broken arena floor as hard as he could.
Immediately following the impact of his fist was the click and puncture of Loz's Dual Hound, causing the earth in front of the Remnant to explode in force, and send a large wave of the broken arena floor and dirt towards where Snow had been when he sent the previous Quake attack. Loz's Rupture attack was very similar in style, and had managed to ward off the very tail end of Snow's Quake attack. He didn't care of Snow was caught in his own similar wave of earth; he'd only used that attack to put the arena floor back in his favor. However, if Snow did find himself caught up in the attack, he would merely be bombarded with another powerful shockwave, similar to his jump attack's, followed by a tidal wave of dirt and stone.
Wasting no time, but panting heavily from the pain his body had been dealt from the barrage of earth elements, the Remnant looked for the closest flash of the beige coat of his opponent and held out his hand. A brief, green glow was emitted from Loz's left arm, and he felt the immediate chill in the air. If Snow wasn't moving fast enough, he would be struck by the large chunk of ice that had just appeared in the air and was beginning to fall towards him. As soon as the spell was cast, Loz opted to switch back into his fighting pose, just in case his opponent had any more surprises up his sleeves. -------------------------------
Abilities Used: Eruption - Loz pulls back and punches into the ground with the Dual Hound, causing the earth to erupt beneath the opponent's feet, similar to Quake. [Cooldown: 3 posts] Ice 2 - Amused by being able to freeze hapless plants and creatures, Loz actually managed to level his materia up in his downtime. He holds out his hand towards his opponent and, after a brief green glow from his forearm, a moderately sized chunk of ice appears over the opponent's head and drops on top of them. [Cooldown: 2 posts] Cooldowns: Jump: [1/3] Eruption: [0/3] Ice 2: [0/2]

Snow had hoped that with his Quake magic attack that he damaged Loz a great deal. He couldn't really tell, given the fact that this particular attack completely surrounds and covers his opponent. For all Snow knew, Loz could be holding his own in there. Snow just couldn't see where he was. Loz was really fast for his size. Snow kind of felt ashamed that he never worked on how fast he was given the fact that Loz was around the same size Snow was and he was able to move the way he did. Snow, with his fists, still in contact with the ground, kept his eyes on his magic attack and how it worked. The dirt geysers and debris from the platform upon which Loz and Snow were fighting upon went up in every which way it possibly could. Snow narrowed his eyes as if to try and see through all the mess to try and pinpoint Loz...if only Snow had been paying attention...
Before Snow could react, he saw an earth attack come his way that looked very much like his own attack. Snow's eyes widened as he was knocked off his feet by the tidal wave of earth that had come his way. Snow landed flat on his back. Snow didn't even know that this attack was coming at him...he was so busy trying to look for Loz that he didn't even think of him trying to counterattack...it was a bonehead mistake. Though it was a little difficult, Snow got up but as soon as he got up, he saw Loz with his palm out toward Snow. Snow saw a brief green glow emit from Loz...Snow was too far away from him to see exactly where the glow was coming from but of course that didn't matter. Could it be another magic attack? Snow quickly sprung into action. He quickly balled up his fists and began to glow bright gold. He then got into a defensive stance to withstand whatever attack may come his way, with his right arm guarding the head and face of Snow and the left arm guarding the midsection of Snow.
He started to feel cold all of the sudden, he then felt something heavy drop on him but due to using his defensive move, Steelguard, he wasn't able to feel the bite of his attack. Snow then looked around him to see shattered pieces of ice... Was it an ice attack that Loz used? Snow smirked at him. However, he wondered why Loz didn't push the attack. Snow wondered what he was waiting for. That was when it hit Snow. Loz was a little childish to say the least. Snow thought that if he could maybe bait him into attacking more, Snow could exploit Loz's mistakes...the worst mistakes that are ever made are those that are made in anger or rage. He wondered whether or not it would work but...it was worth a shot.
"You're gonna have to come stronger than that, man!! Is that the best you got?!", Snow yelled to him with a smirk on his face.
Powers Used:
Steelguard:Snow can use his raw power for defense as well as offense. Snow will spread his feet and put his arms in front of him in a defensive stance. Using his weapon of AMP technology, his power as a Pulse L'Cie, and his own natural strength, this move is one of Snow's best abilities as it enables him to withstand most attacks, both physical and magical, with little to no problem. However, Snow cannot counterattack while he is using this technique and the only way this move can be broken is if Snow stops using it by it reaching its limit of three turns or if a blatant move of obviously higher strength comes into contact with it and breaks it.(i.e. Cloud's Omnislash, Tifa's Final Heaven, Squall's Renzokuken, Lightning's Army of One, etc.) (3 post duration; 3 post cooldown)
Quake: Snow will clench both fists and then punch the ground once. When this happens, the ground will shake and the earth will begin to break apart and dirt geysers will rise from the ground from under Snow's enemies, causing huge Earth-elemental damage. (2 posts left)
